As the portal opened up, our heroes jumped out and saw where they are. Most of the mobiun heroes were surprised by where they were at, the equestrian heroes were in awe at the place, while Sonic cringed at the place.
He didn't like this place much. It was the hydrocity zone! A ancient aquatic ruins in angel Island. A floating lsland that's usually hidden in the sky, is also home to the master emerald. The most powerful object In the entire universe.
Twilight, Spike Rainbow dash, And Amy rose were amazed at the beauty of the ruins. Spear and Tails had memories of their adventures here. While Sonic DID think that it looked interesting, there was one thing that bothered him. "Ugh, water. Why did it have to be water?"
Spear turned and smirked at Sonic saying "Oh come on Sonic, don't tell me your still afraid, are you?~" Sonic tensed up, knowing that Spear was on the money on that. "I-I'm not afraid! ...I just don't like getting wet..."
Twilight then looked at Sonic funny and said "Wait, you don't like water? Why is that?" Amy then decided to tell them, so they can be up to date of Sonic's fear. "Sonic doesn't like the water, because he can't swim. So he avoids the water if he can help it."
Sonic gulped and shook in fear a bit. The only time he actually faced he fear was when Amy was knocked into the water, out cold, and Sonic was desperate to save her. If there was ONE thing he was more afraid of then water, was Seeing his friends near death. Especially Amy.
Spear then snapped Sonic out of it and said "OK, since this IS a area that can be dangerous, and especially with water all around. I vote we stay together on this one, ok? That way we can-"
Spear then looked around and said "Wait, where are-" "Rainbow! Get away from that!" They all turned and saw Rainbow dash try and get into one of the waterslides that made up the hydrocity area. "Aww come on Twi, this looks so fun!"
Twilight looked at it with concern and said "But who know WHERE it leads. It could be danger-" that was the last thing she said before getting pulled with Rainbow dash on the slide and flew through the zone.
Sonic then said "We better go after them! They don't know their way around here!" Everyone nodded and began to run after them through the zone.
As the heroes ran after Rainbow dash and Twilight, they saw the saw the ruins in all their glory. However, they soon ran into a badnik horde made of Blastiods, Mega choppers, Jawz. Sonic,Spear and Tails took them out with ease, While Amy kept Spike Company As the others took out the low level badniks.
Despite the tech that Eggman left behind, the artifacts that were left untouched were beautiful. However, there was something in the area that seemed...out of place. Sonic,Tails and Amy looked at the black crystals with curiosity, wondering where or when they came from.
Sonic then said "What are they? I didn't see these the last time we were here." Amy them suggested "Maybe you missed them the last time you were here? You WERE chasing Eggman and knuckles to get the emeralds back from them." Spike was confused and said,"Dose this knuckles guy work for Eggman? Why are we rescuing him if he can Cas us trouble later on?"
Tails then explained "Well, at first he did. But Eggman tricked him into thinking that we were the enemy so he can get the chaos emeralds to power his ultimate weapon at the time, The death egg. But I'll admit, even I don't remember these crystals here the last time we were here."
Spear then looked at them closely. Something about them felt...familiar. like he saw them before. Spike then saw them glow and remembered what they were and said "Look out! There crystals made from King Sombra!"
Spear heard and understood what Spike meant and saw the Crystal charge up with magic. He then Said "Everyone, out of the way! Move it!" It was too late as everyone else was shot by Sombra's fear spell. Spear managed to dodge out of the way thanks to Spike's warning.
That's when Spear and Spike heard a new voice. "HAH, HA HA HA HA HA HA HAA!"It was deep and Menacing. But Spear recognized it immediately. 'No...how is HE back?! He should be-'
Then they saw what looked like a while cocoon like object that appeared in front of them. On the base of it, was a metel plate and opened to reveal an dark orange eye in the middle of the plate. The cocoon cracked open and a flood of black energy poured out and... was covering Spike's body?! A black bubble then engulfed him and for a few moments, everything was still.
In the bubble, Spike began to wake inside as he felt...warm. This feeling was scary, yet strangely familiar. He then heard the voice again as it said "Heheheheh. Well, Well, I never would have imagined a member of your clan was all the way out here."
Spike looked around confused, wondering who was saying that. "Of course, you look different from the members I saw in the past. Perhaps after centuries of living on this planet, your clan adopted to the magic of this world? Intrigued. "
Spike then saw what was in front of him. A squid-like alien wearing royal garb and had three orange eyes on his face. The alien looked at Spike with a intriguing look and asked "Tell me young one. How much do you know about your origin?" Spike then Shook his head, not knowing anything about his past. "I see...so your heritage is unknown to you. Well, perhaps we can help each other out then?"
Spike then spoke in a shaken voice and said "W-Who are you? A-And what do you want with me?"
The alien chuckled and said "There is no need to fear young one. I have no interest in hurting you. I am called Black Doom. Leader of the black arms. And your species and mine, are closely related."
Spike then said "M-My species? But I thought I was a dragon?" Black doom then explains about Spike's heritage. "You are half correct. You are a dragon, but also have DNA of a species called...the scaled arms!"
Spike was surprised. All this time, he was only part dragon. He didn't think he was part alien. He them asked "How is this possible? How I'm I a descendent of the scaled arms?"
Black Doom then said "If you want to know how your heritage was like, then I am willing to tell you. However, there is something I need from you in exchange."
Spike then gulped, nervousness asking "And what do you want in return?" Black Doom then said "Find the one who is using our resources for their our gain, and terminate their goals. Only then, will your ancestors be at peace." Spike then wondered if he should be trusted. Was he being legit about what he was saying? He didn't know anything about his family, and he says that he knew his heritage.
Spike decided to be cautious and said "Ok, you have a deal. But, how can I deal with whoever caused this mess? I'm not exactly powerful on my own yet."
Black Doom then chuckled and said "Have no fear young one. Since the scaled arms and the black arms are similar in biology. I can grant you access to the elemental powers of the Black arms."
Spike then saw the black energy from the bubble then get absorbed in his body as Spike felt discomfort at first, absorbing all this power at once. But his body adjusted by growing a bit, he wasn't as big as Twilight, but he was definitely taller then the cmc now. He's probably around the same height as your average pony now. Just still shorter then the main six.
He then felt electrical energy from his claws and started to wave them around and he fired bolts of energy from his claws. They had the same green color his flames had, but had black electrical energy trailing behind them. They were called his Doom Spears.
Spike then noticed a new pair of wings on his back. They were small and dragon-like but allowed his still small body to fly. He then noticed as he flapped in place, energy build up in them, so he focused on them, stretched his arms out and he fired crossed Crescent waves of green energy forward. He decided to keep the doom theme and call them the Doom Aero slashers.
Before fading out, Black doom said "There are two more power seals lost in time. Find them to unlock more power and learn of your heritage. The legacy of the scaled arms. Use your new powers as you see fit."
As time resumed, Spear felt some of the black arms power get absorbed into him as well. As he had Shadow's dna in his genetic make up, it was naturally attracted to him. It just gave him a enhancement on all his powers, with one exception.
Spear's Hands then glowed a deep red color, he raises then to the air, and launched his arms out, and a volley of dark energy bolts with black energy following behide them fired down a bit away from the others, stuck to the ground, and exploded in the ground. Spear noticed that this attack was similar to Zamasu's blades of judgment, so he decided to call this move, Doom Blades.
Spear then turned to Spike and said "Are you ok Spike?" Spike looked at Spear and hugged him. While getting new powers was cool and all, it was still a freaky experience for him.
Spike them told him all that happened as he hugged him. Spear then said "Spike. Even if your actually a alien, we still love you all the same. Don't let your past decide your future. Make it your own."
Spike then nodded and said "Your right. Whatever I learn about my heritage won't change how I grown up or that you guys are my real family. Heck, if Sonic,Tails, and...Even Amy..."
Spike then had a lovey dovey look as he daydreamed about him and Amy in a romantic moment. As Spear then said "Hey Romeo~ stop fantasizing for a minute." Spike snapped out of it and blushed a bit and continued "Well, i consider those three as family as well. But it would cool to learn how my heritage was like. Maybe even get more of those powers too."
Spear then laughed and said "That's my little brother! Always aim to grow stronger and defend those you care for. Even if others say say otherwise. We won't become the darker side of us!
They began to hear music as the fear spell stopped and they recollected their bearings. They then heard the music as Spear and Spike took the stage on their song.

As both Spear and Spike got into the groove of their performance, they heard a badnik Hoard on there way, made of pointdexter,
With every step you take it burns. Seeping deeper down into your soul. C’mon, wake up now and get back up on your path! With each time you hold your own. You’ll remember what’s inside of you! (Yeah) Don’t ever throw it all away!

As Spear and Spike finished off the badnik, Sonic and the others were confused. What happened after that weird magic hit them? They all wanted to ask them now, but decided to let them finish there performance before asking.

As the two of them finished, the heard a applause from beside them and saw the others clapping at their performance. The two of them blushed as Sonic said "Nice performance you two! Maybe we should start a band together one day."
Spike and Spear gave a fist bump as they all heard a *plop*. They looked at the right exit and said Twilight and Rainbow dash, soaked fur and all. Spear walked up to them and asked "What happened to you two?"
Twilight then gave them a annoyed look and said "Don't. Ask." She then gave Rainbow dash a dangerous glare as Rainbow dash gulped and began to fear Twilight for a moment. She knew a angry Twilight, was a dangerous Twilight.
She then turned and saw Spike and excitingly said "Spike! Your ok! I was worried when Rainbow dragged me away on that slide!"
Twilight then hugged Spike in a tight embrace, glad that weird magic she sensed earlier didn't effect Spike's mind or personality. But one thing she DID noticed was the new wings on his back. She was shocked, yet happily surprised and said "Spike...YOU HAVE WINGS NOW?!"
Rainbow dash then looked and beamed a grin so big it would make Pinkie pie jealous. She then said "You know what THIS means? A NEW FLYING BUDDY!" Rainbow dash then hugged Spike and nuzzled his cheek in excitement. Happy to have another flying buddy around.
Sonic then asked "What happened to us? And What was that weird beam that shot at us like that." Spear and Spike began to explain what happened. Sonic,Tails, and Amy were shocked at what they heard and said "WHAT?! BLACK DOOM?!" Amy then said "But-But how can that be?! I thought you and Shadow defeated him and destroyed the black comet two years ago!"
Spear then crossed his arms and said "Yeah, that's what I thought too. But, From the look of it, I say that he isn't after us or even mentioned us. But..." Spear gulped and said "It's possible he still has a grudge against Shadow more then any of us. Remember, he was supposed to be his strongest weapon in his conquest of earth. And I don't think he's gonna let it go so easily."
Twilight and Rainbow dash were filled in on who Black doom was, as well as Spike, who was surprised that they faced him before. Twilight then said " Is he a threat at the moment?" Spike then interrupted and said "No, he didn't seem like he was interested in any of us, except for me. He wanted me to find out who was using his resources and stop them. Since it crosses with our goal to stop this time monster thing, I figured we would need all the power we could get. So..."
Sonic and the others nodded and understood why he did it. Amy surprisingly was the one who said "It's ok Spike. If I was in your place, I would want to learn about my heritage too...After all, I never knew about my family's history either."
Sonic and the others heroes of mobius then remembered that She and Sonic are Orphans and don't remember their parents anymore. Spear was the only one who was adopted by a large family and they made his friends honorary members of the family. That's why he was so quick to adopt Scootaloo back at the orphanage. He didn't want her to feel abandoned like he was in his youth.
Twilight, seeing Amy comfort Spike, made her jealously grow more. She decided to talk about this to her when they got back to ponyville, but for now, they needed to find their friends first.
As they talked for a bit, Spike then spoted three white statues behind a wall. "Guys, look! There's three statues right there!" The others looked and saw who was there, and we're surprised. "Applejack!/Knuckles!/SCOOTALOO!!!"
Spear ran over to his petrified daughter and looked worried. "Scootaloo,sweetie? Are you ok?! Scootaloo!" Spear started to have tears in his eyes as he saw his precious daughter in such a state. He then looked back and said "Sonic, what are you waiting for?! Use the wrap ring and get us back th ponyville, NOW!"
Sonic was surprised at the sudden outburst, but did as he told. He used the wrap ring and it connected to sweet apple acres as Spear grabbed Scootaloo and jumped through the ring. Sonic grabbed knuckles, and Twilight grabbed Applejack. They all when into the ring as it vanished. With three more of their friends in hand, the search for their missing friends continues.

And their we go! Hydro city is complete! Sorry for the long wait. But I had writers block for the longest time. Luckily, the new sonic x shadow generations trailer inspired the idea of Spike's back story! I can't wait to start on the extra story in the next chapter! Hope this was worth the wait! Prologe: two worlds collide!
It was a beautiful day in ponyville. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everypony had a smile on their face. And in this very image of peace, a certain unicorn and her best friend were walking to ponyville Park to enjoy a picnic they had planned yesterday. Twilight Sparkle was a lavender colored pony with stars for her cutie mark that was the personal student of the ruler of the kingdom, Princess Celestia, and the librarian of ponyville's Golden oak library.
Spike Drake solàr, Princess Celestia's secret adopted son, and best friend and #1 assistant to Twilight Sparkle, was riding on her back on the way to Ponyville Park with a picnic basket. He was excited to be a part of this picnic for once and not stay in the library, dusting, cleaning, or other stuff like that. Twilight gave him a look and said, "Is everything there for the picnic Spike? I didn't forget anything did?"
Spike shook his head and said "no you didn't, Twilight. Everything is here and accounted for! Even this little sack you put in here at the last minute. What even is this anyway?"
Spear the hedgehog is a mobiun hedgehog that actually a artificial lifeform created with the DNA of sonic,shadow,the chaos emeralds, goku and vegeta, and surprisingly princess luna. He travels though both worlds without telling another of their existence.
Twilight giggled and said, "You have to see when we get to the park." Spike crossed his arms and said,"And I thought Spear was the big tease when he packs stuff. Speaking of, is he gonna meet us at the park?"
Twilight shook her head this time and said, "Sorry Spike, but Spear told me yesterday that he had other plans he needed to attend today and couldn't make it to the picnic."
Spike then had a feeling why he didn't go to the picnic and said, "Was it because he had training? I know he has sayain blood in him, but he needs to take it easy on his training. He's almost as bad with training as you are with studying."
Twilight made a scoff at what Spike said and replied, "Please. I am NOT that bad. Seriously, every time he comes into town after a training session, he looks like he was in a fight with a hydra! At least I have you to help me with breaks."
Spike began to chuckle and said, "Or drag you away, kicking and screaming. " Twilight now had a deadpan look on her face before moving on."Anyway, he said something about a big plan from his homeland, and he wouldn't be back till tomorrow."
Spike then got off of Twilight's back when they reached the park, turned to her and said, "Aw well, his lost, I made his favorite snack for the picnic, smores. He's gonna be so jealous when we eat them all without him. Hehehehe, " Spike said in a mischievous tone.
He and Spear always had prank duels then they goof off and last time he pranked him, he convinced him there was a letter from Rarity that she wanted to give him a special reward for all his hard work...only to be fooled by Pinkie pie in a Rarity costume when she started a confession about her feelings. Which it wasn't confirmed if Pinkie was telling the truth or not. Spike sweared revenge for that prank on that day, but Pinkie didn't get away Scott free, when Rarity saw what when down in the park...she was furious.
Spike smiled when she came to comfort him after the prank. Twilight remembered that day and scolded Spear about those kinds of pranks. He promised to never do those kinds of pranks again after that.
The two of them had reached the picnic spot, where there friends were already there.
The orange pony in the cowgirl hat and the bearer of the element on honestly named Applejack.
The pink pony with the puffy mane and the bearer of the element of laughter named Pinkie pie.
The yellow Pegasus with the bright pink mane and the bearer of the element of kindness named Fluttershy.
The blue Pegasus with the rainbow mane and the bearer of the element of loyalty named Rainbow dash.
And the white unicorn with the gorgeous purple mane and the bearer of the element of generosity named Rarity.
They all gathered to enjoy the fine summer day that the cloudsdale weather team put together with a picnic.
Rainbow dash then said "hey you two! About time you got here. I thought something came up." Twilight shook her head in response saying " We were packing the picnic basket with our snacks, how come you've been so impatient lately Rainbow dash?"
Applejack, over hearing their conversation, decided to add her two bits in and say "You HAVE been challenging me to more challenges as of late. What's going on sugercube?"
Rainbow dash slumped, she knew that they noticed her weird behavior lately. She then explained "You got me. I've been so bored lately."
"Isn't being in the wonderbolt reserves enough excitement? I mean, you achieved your dream sugercube." Applejack said, supportive of her achievement.
Rainbow dash saw her and the rest of her friends support her dream to be in the wonderbolts, however, "I'm only in the reserves guys. I'm not a full fledged wonderbolt yet. Plus, I have to wait till my papers are cleared to be assigned to WonderBlot academy. And that can take months before they evaluate them, and see if I'm qualified to join the reserves. I have to basically wait for a whole year till get called on. And that's if I'm accepted in. I know spitfire said I have a good chance of getting in, but..."
Fluttershy then understood what was going on and said "Your just anxious about waiting to be accepted in the academy, that you've been looking for things to distract you from the chance of rejection, are you?"
Rainbow dash sighed, knowing that her best friend nailed it on the head. "Heh, you got me flutters. I HAVE been trying to get my mind off it. I did thought of Challenging Spear to a race, but he wasn't there at his cabin today. And when I asked Scootaloo where he was, she said that he when to his homeland for a promise he made and wouldn't be back till tomorrow, so she's staying at Rarity's with Sweetie bell and Apple bloom."
Rarity remembered when Spear asked if she can let scootaloo stay with her for the night, and apologized for the prank he pulled her into with Spike. She saw the regret he had on his face and decided that she would forgive him, only if he served as her pincushion. He grumbled but still did the task.
Pinkie on the other hoof, didn't show any remorse in her part of the prank on Spike. She even when as far as make a declaration of love to Spike and then crushed his heart when she revealed the truth. Even Spear thought that was going too far.
And She DEFINITELY didn't take too kindly to that. In fact, at the same time, she WAS gonna confess her feelings to him when the prank was pulled. She wanted to tell Spike her true feelings for him, but decided to wait till the prank either dies down, or she got even with pinkie. Either one would do.
She then said "Rainbow's is correct. He asked me if I could foalsit Scootaloo while he was away. While he can act like a foal at times, he can act like a wonderful foster father to little Scootaloo, and takes her feelings into consideration. Right, Pinkie dear?"
Pinkie pie could feel Rarity's venomous glare towards her as she tried change the subject.
Fluttershy decided to help her out and say "O-Of course. We know that Spear loves a good picnic. Especially when he naps under a big old tree."
Rainbow dash, even after hearing all that still said "Naps are good and all, but I'm a mare of action! I need new adventures! I need more bad guys to kick! I need a new challenge!"
As if on cue, the ground started to shake and the sky darkened. The main 6, along with Spike, stood up on alert and ready for whatever was happening. In the near by area vinyl scratch, Octavia, the cutie mark crusaders and dizzy hoofs were concerned and somehow ended up with the main 6 as Twilight told Rainbow dash "you just HAD to say a new challenge, didn't you!"
Before Rainbow dash could respond, a shadowy rift in the sky opened up and revealed a shadowy monster and stared at ponyville. Specifically, our heroes as it started to open smaller rifts to nine different locations unrecognizable to the group, as one by one, the ponys got sucked into each rift and said rift closed behind them.
Rainbow shouted "HEY! GIVE US BACK OUR FRIENDS!" She charged at the creature towards the face, only to be slapped away with ease.
Twilight saw Spike getting sucked in as he yelled "TWILIGHT! HEELP MEEEEEE!!!" He was sucked into the rift as Twilight's eyes shrunk in horror.
"SPIKE!!!" She also saw Rainbow dash on the ground, beaten and unconscious, as she used her magic to make a barrier around Rainbow dash to protect her before she was sucked in as she said "S-Save us..." her hoofs lost grip of the grass as she was sucked in and shouted with all her might "RAINBOOOOOOOW!!!"
The rift closed behind her as Rainbow dash, in the barrier, laid unconscious as the world when white.
*meanwhile, across time and space*
It was a peaceful day in Emerald Park, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and a group of mobiuns were setting up for a party.
And these weren't ordinary mobiuns, they were Sonic's friends. And today was Sonic's birthday! So Sonic's best friends, Tails the fox, Amy rose the hedgehog, knuckles the Echidna, and Spear the hedgehog, decided to throw a surprise birthday party to celebrate!
They all worked together to make the party a reality. Amy brought the decorations and food, knuckles brought the guests, tails distracted Sonic till the time of the party, and Spear organized everything and made sure its all perfect for the party.
As Spear held a clipboard with the list for the party, he began one last check before sonic arrived for the party. "Ok then, decorations?"
"Check, guest list?" Spear decided to next check on knuckles with the guest list to see if everyone had showed up for the party. "Yo knuckles! How's the guest list coming? Everyone's coming?"
Knuckles grumbled a bit before saying "how did I got stuck with this confusing guest list?"
Spear looked at him with a deadpan look saying" Do you want to keep sonic busy all day and bother the master emerald?"
That got knuckles attention and said "N-no no, none of that! *ahem* anyway, almost everyone is here actually. Except for shadow and silver. Shadow's off on a mission according to Rogue, and Sliver's in the freaking future. How ARE we supposed to contact him?!"
Spear then had a awkward moment,didn't knowing that he over looked that little issue. "Oh...I didn't think about that. I knew that Shadow would have his own things to take care of, but I completely forgot that Silver's from the future. Guess I'll have to continue work on my temporal communication network,huh?"
Spear then said to knuckles "Oh well. Two less then I would've liked, but no sense of complaining, right?" Knuckles just nodded and walked over the table, glad that he didn't have to be in charge of the list anymore.
Spear looked at the list and marked off the guest list on his check up list "Check. Food, cake,and keep amy on a leash?"
Spear looked at the table where the food and cake was and saw Amy rose humming a tune as she waited for her true love to show up to the party.
Spear admitted he didn't know who was more of a handful. Amy's intense love for Sonic, or Twilight's intense need to ace all her classes.
However, he needed to nip it before Sonic arrived. Otherwise Sonic would spilt before he blew out his candles Cas of Amy's overwhelming affections for him.
Spear walked over to Amy, hoping that Amy won't smash him into pieces with her hammer. "H-Hey Amy, how's the food coming?"
Amy rose (Sonic's self proclaimed girlfriend) had finished setting up the refreshments and Sonic's birthday cake turned to face Spear and say" hey Spear! What do you think? I've set it up with everyone's favorite snack, the fruit punch on its own stand, and Sonic's birthday cake in the middle to make it the shining star of the table!" She then had a lovey-dovey look on she and stared at the cake saying "just like Sonic is a star. Sigh~"
Spear facepalmed, knowing she was daydreaming again. And disturbing her like this was extremely risky for his heath. But he pushed forward and said, "That's what I needed to talk to you about Amy. I think you need to tone down your...intense affection for Sonic. At least for the party." Spear flinched, expecting Amy to attack him for talking bad about her love for Sonic...
But surprisingly, he saw Amy looking down to her feet. Looking sad and ashamed for some reason. "Um, Amy? Are you ok?"
Amy then looked at Spear with a pleading face and said, "Am I truly Sonic's friend? Or am I a fangirl of his?"
Spear stared at her, confused, and said, " What brought this on, Amy? Of course you're his friend."
Amy shook her head and replied, " Am I? I'm not dumb Spear. I've heard what people say about me. From calling me an overbearing fan girl to a borderline staker. I'm starting to think that they might be right. Sonic doesn't even want to hang out as friends anymore... I think he's scared of me."
Spear looked at Amy, feeling bad for her, and said, "Amy. You're not just a fangirl and especially not a stalker. Your our friend, and Sonic knows this too. You just gonna calm yourself around him and at like a friend instead of forcing the idea of a relationship onto him. Trust me, Time will tell if you and Sonic are meant to be."
Amy, while still a bit glum, smiled and when to get ready for the party. "OK, everything's ready. Now we just need to wait for -" Spear's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of heavy panting as Tails was running saying "he'll be here -*pant*-any second!"
Spear grinded and said, "Perfect. Ok, everyone! Take your places!" Everyone gathered around the table and hid the food and cake before Sonic arrived ten seconds later. "Hey guys, what's going on? Are you having a party or something?" As soon as he arrived, everyone yelled,"Suprise! Happy birthday, Sonic!" Poppers when off and the reveal when off without a hitch. Sonic then said "Aww you guys! And Spear! You're here?!"
Spear then walked over and said, "What? Do you think I'm gonna miss my oldest friends birthday by being in another universe? What kind of friend would I be then?"
As the party went under way, everyone was having a good time. Vector the crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy bee were by the snack bar, Blaze the cat and Cream the rabbit were chatting near the punch Bowl with Cream's pet cheese the chao. Rouge the bat was flirting with knuckles on the other side of the picnic table. Spear and Amy were talking next to the cake. And Sonic and Tails were next to the picnic table.
Tails then said, "You know, it's kinda hard to surprise you." Sonic replied."You totally got me this time! I had no idea!" Tails shook his head, not sure if he believes Sonic in being surprised. "Yeah, right. Happy birthday, Sonic! Hope you like your gift!" Tails pulls out a chill dog, Topped with Jalapenos and extra cheese. Sonic took at and took a bite, saying, " Like it? I love it! This is the best gift ever!"
As the group enjoyed the party, the sky grew dark and the ground shook, as a rift in space and time opened up and revealed a mysterious creature as it roared, ruining the party, and opened time rifts different and familiar place in space-time.
One by one, their friends were sucked into the rifts, each one closing has they were sucked in. Sonic, with a frustrated look, said, "HEY! NOT COOL!" As Sonic jumped and used the homing attack to strike, only for the monster to back slap him, and rendered him unconscious.
As more on their friends got sucked in, Spear grabbed Amy's hard and said, "Hang on, amy!" Amy then shouted."It's no good! I'm getting sucked in!" She swallowed and said,"Spear! Let go of my hand!"
Spear was shocked and said, "ARE YOU CRAZY?! IM NOT LETTING YOU GO!" It was Amy's turn to yell and said,"IF YOU DON'T, YOU'LL GET SUCKED IN TOO!"
Spear then said, "That's a chance I'll have to take!" Unfortunately, Amy's hand slipped, and she said,"You two will save us! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!" Spear yelled in a panic, saying,"AMMMMYYY!!!"
As she was swallowed by the rift, Spear, with an angry look, said, "RAAAAGH! YOUR GONNA PAY FOR THIS!!"
He took a familiar pose, one leg in the front, the other secured in the back hooked to a tree, and both hands cupped together as he said, "Kaaaa...meeee...haaaaa...meeee...HAAAAAAA!!!"
A massive blue energy blast was sended to the creature, connected... but it reminded unfazed. Spear was then blasted by a homing shot and was out cold by the creature.
Tails was the last one to hang on saying "help us... -" Tails lost his grip on the grass and said, "- SOOOOOONNNIC!!!"
Sonic and Spear were unconscious on the ground as Tails was swallowed by the rift, and their world was whited out into nothing.

That's it for part one of this story. And so excited to FINALLY get this project going! Also yes...my character is basically a time patroller. And this story WILL have dragon ball elements in it as well. So be prepared for awesome fight scenes! See you all in part two!

Green Hill encounter (Edited)
As Rainbow dash began to wake up, she was laying in the middle of a lush green field with...checker board pattern rock? She woke up and looked around the area. And she was baffled. This area didn't seem familiar to her at all. Especially the floating rings, the weird posts, and the loop-da-loops that are the rock formations.
She didn't realize this place as she didn't know if she was near ponyville anymore. What? Ponyville? She then remembered her friends getting sucked into the rifts and vanished from the world. Are they...gone?
She shook her head and thought, "Now's not the time for what ifs. Now's the time to action! Hang on, guys!" She jumped up and took off in fast speeds, starting her search for her friends.
Meanwhile in a unknown void
Sonic and Spear woke up in a mysterious place of...well...nothing. just a empty white void of white nothingness. This confused then as they stood up. Sonic then said "Do you have any idea what happened or where are we?"
Spear got up after Sonic, and began to get a feel of the area. The place was void of life that for sure. But there was more then that...or lack there of I should say. No color, no energy, not even a sense of time. It's like time has stopped for all. But he also had of sense of De-ja-voo. Like...he was here before.
"It looks like a spot outside of reality, void of time and space. Yet there's this scene of...familiarity here. Like...I've been here before." Sonic look at Spear with a confused look, wondering if this was a place that he's been to before on his travels.
As the two of them walked for a bit, they saw the Is remnants of...a tree? It was big yet hallowed out. Spear continued to get this nagging sense of familiarity from this place. But this time, it hit with a sense of dread.
Sonic looked inside and was amazed at what he saw. A whole library in a tree. He figured that it was something you only heard in fairy tails but sure enough, it's the real deal.
Spear however...looked horribly scared. Being in the library like this confirmed his Suspicious...this was ponyville...and it was basically wiped from existence! He started to wonder if the others were ok...the princesses, his friends...his daughter scootaloo...all these thoughts were almost too much to bear at once. He fell on his knees and began to hyperventilate, letting all the possibilities on what happened getting him.
Sonic saw Spear having a nervous breakdown next to him and got worried. He's never had seen him like this before. Even with the odds against then, he would still try and make the best of the situation. Now however...he seemed devastated and broken. Sonic decided to talk to him while investigating the tree library and said "You ok Spear? You need to calm down. You look more...distressed then usual."
Spear then sighed and said, "I'm sorry Sonic. But, I've been here before. I know who lives here. And I'm extremely worried about them. Their...their like family to me. Like how our friends are in mobius. If there not here then..."
Sonic then put his hand on his shoulder and Said "Hey. Don't start thinking that. It's not a Guarantee. There probably still alive, waiting for you to save them. Just like our friends are waiting for us to save them."
Sonic then had an idea on how to get his message across to his green twins minds. He didn't know why. But being in the tree was putting him in a singing mode. "Come on, it's like I always say. It doesn't matter!" Sonic and Spear could suddenly hear music seemly coming from out of nowhere. Spear had a feeling what was happening, while Sonic just rolled with it. He started with a whistle and sang ,
Oh-oh, yeah,... Alright!
Sonic felt the music guide him as he sang what he felt as he sang,
Well, I don't show off - don't criticize!
And I won't give in - won't compromise!
'Cause I only have a steadfast heart of gold!
I don't know why - I can't leave, though It might be tough,
but I ain't out of control - just livin' by my word!
Don't ask me why - I don't need a reason!
Spear began to feel the music influence him as he began to sing back up, singing,
It doesn't matter- now what happens, I will never give up the fight!

At this ponit both Spear and Sonic were jamming out to their duet that the bad vibes Spear felt earlier were beginning to fade away as Sonic began the second verse.
Well, I don't look back - I don't need to!
Where do I stop? Now it's all a blur and so unclear!
Well, I don't know, but I can't be wroooong!
It doesn't matter, now what happens! I will never give up the fight!

Sonic then had a idea and pulled out a medallion in the shape of a guitar, grabbed it and it activated, turning into a guitar! Sonic then started to play a sick guitar solo as Spear began to break dance in turn of the music. As the guitar solo began to end, Spear decided to bring it home and sang,
Oh, it doesn't matter, Now what happens!
I will never, give up the fight!
Long as the voice inside drives me to run and fight!
It doesn't matter who is wrong and who is right!
Noooooo! No. no, no! It doesn't matter!
When the song ended, Sonic and Spear gave each other a high five as Spear said "Your right Sonic! This isn't the time to be stuck in my own despair! We have friends to find! A world to restore, And a monster's butt to kick!"
As Sonic smirked at Spear, the sounds of sparks of electricity began to sound as they looked behind them. A hole in space-time began to open as the two hedgehogs got surprised by the display. Sonic chuckled and said "Didn't I say we find something in no time? So, got any idea HOW this happened?"
Spear didn't have a concrete idea, but a working theory. "Well, I DO have a theory, but I'm not sure you'll believe me when I tell you."
Sonic had a disbelief look on him when Spear said that and responded "Considering what WE go though on a daily bases, I highly doubt what your gonna say will faze me."
Spear then gave a sigh and said "well...I think our friendship combined with the energy of our duet must have acted like a key that opened this portal." Sonic looked at him with confusion and said "Isn't that kinda random?"
Spear looked at Sonic with a deadpan look and said "This is equestrian magic we're dealing with here Sonic. I've given up trying to make sense of it a long time."
Before Sonic could ask about further, Spear continued to day. "Anyway,looks like this portal is connected to somewhere in our world. Will have to go in to investigate what's going on. "
Sonic then smirked and said "Heh,alright then. Let's see what's behind this portal!"
Sonic eagerly jumped in the portal without a second thought, Spear jumped right after him, as they traveled though time and space, not knowing where they were headed.
As the two of them landed on the ground, they looked around to see where or when they landed. Sonic looked around and said, "Is...is this Green hill zone?"
Spear looked around as well to the familiar land around them and said "I believe so...But, how did we get here? And why dose the area feel...different then normal?"
Sonic then started to stretch and said "Look,we can ask questions till we're blue in the face, but it's probably faster if we just run and see what we can find. You game?"
Spear sighed knowing full well that Sonic was right. In this case, taking the heads-on approach might prove more affective then questioning themselves and doing nothing.
Before replying to Sonic however, he already spin dashed ahead saying, "Catch me if you can!" This annoyed Spear as his competitive spirit started to light inside of him. "HEY, NO FAIR SONIC! YOUR GONNA REGRET THAT!"
Spear then smirked, forgetting how the two of them have a rivalry on who's better. He then spin dashed to get a boost of speed and dashed after him.
What started as exploring the area, quickly turned into a friendly race between rivals. The two of them have always been rivals since their younger days, seeing which of them was faster.
Over the years however, it eventually evolved from a simple race to racing combat. Especially when Knuckles and Shadow became Sonic's rivals too.
The two of them stared at each other while running, waiting for a opportunity to strike. When there was a opening, the two of them jumped and started to strick with a Flurry of punchs and kicks at sonic speeds. Sonic managed to get a good kick in Spear's ribs while Spear got a good blow on Sonic's head with a punch.
Sonic then caught Spear off guard as he fired a sonic wind energy blast at him, and was send to ground. Spear retaliated by firing a crush cannon shot at Sonic as both attacks hit their marks. The race slowed down as they saw that they had some uninvited guest to their private brawl.
They were buzz bombers, catakillers, and motobugs. Doctor Eggman's early batch of robots he used for his army. The weird thing about seeing them here is that he stopped using these old models years ago. How were they back online?
Sonic then said "Well this feel weird. Seeing old badniks up and about like this." Spear then replied "I know, right? Didn't Eggman stop making these kind of badniks years ago? Or at least, doesn't make them as offen anymore? Maybe he's running out of idea?"
Sonic then walked up to a motobug and patted it on the head saying "you know, I kinda feel bad for trashing them now. Their not that big of a threat nowadays, so many we can-" Sonic thoughts were cut as the motobug got a sneak attack on Sonic before he said "Never mind! Let's trash them!"
Sonic then used the homing attack to deal with the buzz bombers with ease while Spear spin dashed the catakillers to keep them from spitting apart. The two of them finished off the motobugs with a double tornado and a countless spin attacks till there was nothing left.
Sonic then stretched and said "Man, I forgot how much of pushovers they were! The badniks the doc uses nowadays are more of a challenge compared to this!"
Spear then thought about it and said "yeah. Why IS the doctor suddenly using old badnik models that are clearly weaker then his usual models?" Sonic then smirked and said "Maybe he's feeling nostalgic too? Who knows. Let's see what else we can find!"
Spear then yelled "Sonic wait! Argh! Can't be bothered to wait for 5 minutes?!" He dashed after him. Hoping he didn't go too far.
As Sonic was running across the area, Sonic began to remember these old stomping grounds, and the start of his and Spear's endless adventures. Plus the old badniks around here and totem poles gave him a sence of nostalgia.
As Sonic ran off a natural ramp to get some air, something slammed into him in the air and the two of them fell to the other side of the riven.
As Sonic began to woke up from the collision, he said "Geez, watch where your going buddy." The other crasher then said "Same to you buddy. You should know to watch out when I'm in the sky."
Sonic then opened his eyes and saw...a blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane? "OK, maybe I hit my head a bit hard there but...who ARE you?"
The Pegasus in question had a shocking look on her face and said "What?! You definitely must've hit your head hard, Cas there's NO way you've never heard of me, Rainbow dash! The fastest flyer in equestria! And probably the fastest being in the universe."
Sonic then smirked and said, "Looks like somebody needs a update on current events. The names Sonic. Sonic the hedgehog. I'm the world's fastest hedgehog. And I'M the fastest being in the universe!"
Both of them looked at each other with a intense glare. Believing that the other was tripping about their speed when suddenly, "Geez Sonic! If your gonna keep running off like that, I'm gonna have to put a bell on you."
Spear landed a few feet from them as he walked over with his eyes closed "Seriously Sonic, we got to be-" he was interrupted by a familiar voice he heard "S-Spear?!" Rainbow said in a unbelieving tone. Spear opened his eyes and saw the source of the voice "R-Rainbow dash?!"
The two of them stared at each other for a minute, then ran to each to hug and said at the same time "Your alive! Your alive!" With excitement in their voices. Laughing , smiling, and Relieved that the other was ok.
Sonic,being the odd one out, was confused by the Exchange and said "hold on for a second. You two know each other?"
Spear decided to explain everything to Sonic and rainbow dash and get them up to speed.
Sonic gave a annoyed grunt and said "I think your confused when you said that. Cas I'M the fastest hedgehog in the world."
"Hmph" was all that Spear could say as the before moving on and said "what are you doing here Rainbow?"
Rainbow then retold the events of what happened to her and their friends at the park as both Sonic and Spear gasped and said "The same thing happened to us too!"
Rainbow dash was shocked and said "you guys too?! What happened?!" Spear then explained what happened on their end and how they dealt with the monster on their side. Rainbow look downcast and said "Is there ANY possible way to defeat that thing?"
Sonic then said in a confidence grin "Hey, no worry. Me and Spear can deal with that thing once we find it!"
Spear smirked, while knowing that they stood no chance now, it didn't meant he didn't want another go at it. "Hmph. Next time I see that thing, I'm blasting it to space dust!"
Rainbow dash was shocked at Spear's attitude now. Usually he's the level headed one around her. But now he's more eagered for the next fight. And she didn't know how to respond.
Sonic then had a idea. He didn't want to leave Rainbow behind, and he knew Spear wouldn't like the idea of leaving Rainbow dash here. So he said " Look, Rainbow dash was it? I know that both our worlds are in this mess, so why don't we team up? If we can figure out how that creature caused this mess, we could probably clean this mess up and return our worlds back to normal and find out friends in the process."
Spear then added "he's got a point Rainbow. Two heads are better then one. But three head are better then two. What'd you say? Up for a team up?"
Rainbow figured that with Spear, they could get everything to normal in no time. He's never let them down before. And it seems like this Sonic guy is of similar capability so..."let's do it! Let's save all of our friends!"
Sonic and Spear both shot a smirk and said "all right! Let's do it to it!" All three of them sped off as they continued the search for their friends.
Rainbow dash always knew that Spear was fast, but the speeds he reached as they were running though green hill was mind bawling. She had to wonder if he was holding back when they raced in gassly gorge. And Sonic proved immediately that he definitely has the speed to match.
But still wanted to prove her speed when they had time. The two if them continued there race from before, but agreed to keep it a plain race till Rainbow dash was used to their speed.
Thankfully, the zone provided more then enough excitement for all three of them as they blasted there way though badniks with ease. They even let Rainbow have a turn against some crabmeat badniks that were in the way, which Rainbow had no trouble taking out. They also accidentally broke off a chunk of a large todom pole as they made their way though. They boosted their way out of danger easily enough.
They finally made it to a safe spot when Rainbow yelled "That was AWSOME! Is it like this for you two all the time?!" Rainbow was definitely still riding the adrenaline of their run when Spear said "This is usually once a week. Sometimes twice a week."
As Sonic began to look around, he noticed two statues that seemed hidden in the bushes. Sonic checked real quick then out "Spear! Rainbow dash! Look at this!"
The two of them followed Sonic and saw the statues. They were shocked as Spear said "Tails! Twilight!" He ran to them and said " Their petrified."
Rainbow dash was terrified. She's never seen her friend like this before. She remembered how fluttershy told her about how Twilight was turned to stone by a cockatrice some time back but this looks more horrible by comparison. Rainbow then saw something shiny on the ground. She picked it up and said "what's this?" She picked up what looked like a gold ring of some kind.
Sonic and Spear recognized what it was immediately as Sonic said "That's a wrap ring!" Rainbow dash was confused on why a ring was so exciting to them and asked "What's a wrap ring?"
Spear then explained what a wrap ring was. "A wrap ring allows the user to wrap space and travel around the planet just by thinking of where they want to go. Like say if you wanted to go from ponyville to cantrlot quickly without taking the train." Rainbow dash seemed to understand the explanation seemly enough.
Sonic then chimed in by saying "and it's gonna be even more useful here. With space all messed up like this, the wrap ring should take us back to the library in no time at all."
Rainbow tilted her head to her side and said "is that possible?" Spear then said "Believe it or not, Sonic has the right idea. With space so messed up like this it SHOULD make wrapping a way to the library pretty easy."
Sonic then thought about the golden oak library, tossed the ring, and it opened the way to the library. "Sweet! It worked! Lets get these two back to the library and figure out how to get them back to normal."
As Sonic carried Tails and Spear carried Twilight back to the library, Rainbow took one last look to green hill zone and said "This place is amazing." And she crossed though just as the ring closed.

As Sonic, Spear, and Rainbow dash appeared through the wrap ring from Green Hill to to golden oak library. Rainbow was shocked at not only the state of the library, but the ponyville looked the same. Pure white and lifeless.
Sonic looked at Rainbow dash and said, "Don't worry. We'll find a way to reverse everything and return your world to normal. We promise."
As all three of them agreed, the color of the library started to return. The books had their color back, the tree alive again, and the whole place seemed to spring back to life! Spear then said, "It looks like we somehow triggered something to revert all the color back to normal. But I'm at a lost on how we did that."
At the same time, Rainbow dash saw a glow from the statues and called Sonic and Spear over to see what was going on. The two statues glowed as they revealed that they were back to normal.
Tails was the first one to start moving, checking to see if anything was missing before saying "Thanks Sonic and Spear." I thought I was dead! Floating around without a body in limbo. *shivers* I'm gonna have nightmares for weeks." "Yeah, tell me about it. That was freaky. That's for the save Rainbow." Twilight said, fixing her mane a bit.
The two of them then turned to see each other, stared for a few seconds, and then said, "Sonic..." "Rainbow..." The both of them said at the same time."WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?"
Spear, having his ears blown off, then said "Ok ok I think explanations are in order!" Tails and Twilight then turned to Spear as they began to get caught up in the recent events that had transgress.
30 minutes later
"So, let me get this straight." Twilight, after being introduced to Sonic and Tails, began to process what had happened since they were kidnapped and petrified. "Whatever attacked us in the park, also attacked you guys in your world, and now we're all in this white world of nothingness?" Spear replied."That's about the size of it, yes."
Twilight nodded but then noticed something... or lack of someone. "Spear? Have you seen Spike? I-I don't see him anywhere."
Spear closed his eyes and turned from Twilight's face. He had dreaded this moment. He knew how she and Spike were close to each other, so having to break the news to her was... harder than it looked. "Look, Twilight..."
Twilight became pale. She saw the serious expression on his face. He NEVER showed that face unless things were dire or if scootaloo was in danger. She looked at him with pleading eyes and said, "PLEASE tell me Spike is ok!"
Spear then felt his heart sank as he looked into Twilight's eyes. She looked like she was gonna break down. But he had no choice and said, "Twilight, we... haven't found him yet. We were lucky to find you and Tails just now."
Twilight's heart sank. Not knowing the fate of Spike was more terrifying than knowing what happened. She started to have tears and asked, "Is there anything you have to go on?"
Spear then said, "Well, if he's in the same state as you, then he'll be ok. I know he will be fine."
Twilight then smiled a bit, hoping that Spike would be ok when they found him as Spear hugged her in comfort.
Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails were discussing the events of what just happened when Spear and the ponys returned to the main floor. "Tails, did Green Hill look kinda different to you? It didn't look the same like last time."
Tails looked through the portal, surprised that it didn't close after the color was returned to the library. It must be permanent until the big mess is dealt with. "Maybe. But we're no where near south island. And it seemed like the color and life was sucked dry out of this place till a few minute ago. Totally strange, huh?"
Sonic then nonchalantly said, "No stranger then rescuing genies from magic books or saving aliens from interstellar amusement parks. I'm just concerned about rescuing our friends."
Spear just rolled his eyes at Sonic, knowing he's getting overconfident again. While Twilight and Rainbow dash looked confused with Twilight saying "Your not at all concerned about WHAT just happened?"
Sonic then said, "Well yeah, I AM concerned. But there's no sense in sweating the small stuff, right? At least we know that the effects are reversible now, right? Plus, we deal with this kind of stuff almost every week. I'm sure you two had some adventures of your own before this, right?"
Rainbow and Twilight both nodded in agreement. The two of them, with Spike and the others, have had some experience in adventuring under their belts.
Spear then gave Sonic a concerned look and said, "Well, while that IS true sonic,we only found Twilight and Tails in this portal by chance and ran into Rainbow dash by Coincidence. But how are gonna track down all these portals now?"
As Sonic, Tails, and Spear discussed their options on how to find the portals, Twilight's mind was mainly focused on Spike. She wanted to make sure he was ok. The terrified look he had as he was sucked in the portal still haunted her when she closed her eyes. Rainbow saw this and said, "It's ok, Twi. We'll find him. Don't worry, maybe you can use a spell to summon him here?"
Twilight then shook her head and said, "Not without knowing where he exactly is. However..." She then started to concentrate her magic when Sonic, Tails ,and Spear looked at Twilight. The two new mobiuns were confused about what Twilight was doing, while Spear shot a smirk. Knowing what she was trying to pull.
Her horn then displayed an arrow on her horn and said, "It worked! I can track Spike down with this tracking spell! Hopefully, he'll be ok!"
Spear walked up to Twilight and said, "Well, now we got a lead on where to find Spike now. Good job Twi!"
Twilight smilled at Spear, proud that her spell was working. "OK, let's start tracking." Twilight then ran off out of the library with the others close in hand. Tails then asked "how is she doing that?"
Spear then explained while running "It's a tracking spell. But not just any tracking spell. It's a special spell she made for Tracking Spike if he ever got lost again."
Tails had a concerned look on his face and said "Agian? What happened?"
Spear then just said "it's a long story. But it did have a happy ending at least."
They all followed Twilight to the mayor's office of all places. They continued to follow Twilight though the office to the top floor and found the mayor...at least her temporal frozen state.
They began to look around for anything when Twilight began to panic and say "Argh! I don't get it! The tracking spell said he SHOULD be here! Why did it-"
Surprisingly, Rainbow when to calm her down and said "Whoa, calm down Twi. I know you were banking on the tracking spell to find Spike, but maybe there's something here that can let us to where he is?"
Sonic then had a idea. It was a bit of a risk but..." Hey Spear? Remember how we opened the portal back in the library?"
Spear had caught on to what he was saying, and thought it was crazy. But it was their only chance to open a portal to find Spike. "Yeah...but do you think it'll work again?"
Sonic then looked at everyone and said "one way to find out right?" Spear then nodded and replied "set the scene and the music will follow."
Twilight then saw Sonic and Spear seemingly like they were planning something. She then had a frustrated look on her face thinking 'How can those two be planning something in a time like this?! Spike could be in mortal danger and they want to have fun!?'
Before she could give them a lecture, Sonic then told her "look, I know you two are going though alot right now. I don't know what adventures you and your friends have been on, and all of this my be a shock to you guys. But trust me when I say, everything will be ok."
Twilight then sadly walked up to Sonic thinking 'after hear all of that, how CAN we go on?!' "Sonic, your right. We HAVE been on adventures before. But nothing like this. This seems impossible to fix. What can we do?!"
Rainbow dash hated to admit it. But Twilight was right. They've never delt with anything close to this before. She thought thay maybe they were over there heads.
Sonic then said, "Anyone can be ready if they put their mind to it. It takes two things to help you through something. Believe in yourself...and your friends. I wouldn't have gotten this far without then and they'll always have room...to fly with me!"
Twilight and Rainbow dash heard music starting up, knowing what was gonna happen. While Tails didn't know how this was happening. But decided to go with it say Sonic began to sing.
They both began to sing in sync.
Tails started to feel the music snag him as well as he decided to join, too, with Spear as backup.

Twilight was wondering how Spear and especially Sonic were doing this. Their song was filling her with a newfound confidence she hadn't felt since the day she and Her friends faced off against Discord after reminding each other of their friendship. She couldn't hold it in anymore. She wanted to join in as they sang so badly! She ran in between Spear and Sonic and sang,
Chasing the light, together we'll make it! We got a chance and together we'll take it! And all through the night, I'll ignite like a light out for you! they all began to sing in unity singing, Keep up the pace, it's gotta be there Against every odd, we’ll make it, I swear Aw, yeah - it's where I'm meant to be! We're diving into, diving into,diving into the sky, so just fly with meeeeee!!!
As the song died down, Twilight resolve became clearer then ever. While she hoped that Spike was ok, She needed to stop focusing on the what if's and focus on saving him and their friends. She knew she had to thank Spear for helping her remain her, but who she was more curious about was Soinc. How can be so upbeat yet so inspiring to rise their Spirits from their own self doubt? He seemed like a true friend, and she wanted to get to know him more.
Suddenly, electricity sounded from behind them as the portal opened, Sonic and Spear fist bumped, Twilight and Rainbow dash were confused, and Tails was curious about HOW the portal was activated. He then said "You two knew this would happen, didn't you?"
Spear made a cocky smile and said "Maaaybe. But hey, it was Sonic's idea to try again, and it paid off! Now we can head in to see if any of our friends are inside."
As both Spear and Sonic jumped into the portal followed by Tails, Rainbow dash, and a nervous Twilight as they jumped into the unknown.
As they all landed on a roof top, they could smell a disgusting smell almost immediately. Twilight and Rainbow dash reacted rather horribly due to the pollution of the air as the coughed and gagged Cas of the smoke. Sonic, Tails, and Spear while not liking the pollution as well, were used to it by now. Given how many times they broke into Eggman's bases and had a similar smell. Twilight then casted air purely bubbles around all of them to breathe better in this environment.
Rainbow, after getting a good amount of clean air then Said "What was all that about?! The air here is so bad I felt like I was gonna puke! Nothing like the last place we were at!"
The three mobiun heroes began to wonder with one of the doctors bases this was when Twilight began to asked "THIS is how your world is?! How can it even survive like this?! I can't even see the sun with all the smog in the sky!"
Sonic was quick to dismiss that comment and said "no, it's not what our world looks like. But to someone else, it's probably a ideal world."
Rainbow dash looked at the sky, then started to get mad and said "Whoever thinks a world like this is livable is seriously a messed up fruit loop!" Twilight would normally calm down Rainbow dash about thinking like that, but this time, she had to agree. A world like this is so horrible, so restricted, so poisonous, that anypony could feel like they would lose their free will if they stayed long enough.
Spear then decided to break the mood by saying, "OK guys, let's explore this place and see if we can find any of our friends."
Tails then stopped him and asked "Do you think we should split up into teams? You know, at least have one of us be with Twilight and Rainbow dash so they can be kept an eye on here?"
Rainbow dash felt offended and said "What?! I don't need a foal sitter! I'm Rainbow dash! I'm the fastest Pegasus in all of equestria! I don't need-"
Spear then interrupted her and said "Can you handle huge stream powered Pistons,molten lava, and deadly badniks around every corner? Or have two just as fast hedgehogs be your guides and keep you and your ego out of danger...again."
Rainbow frowned at Spear's smirk. Knowing that he knew about Rainbow's cocky attitude and knew that he was gonna follow her anyway. So she begrudgingly said "Fine. I'll stick with you and Sonic."
Spear smiled as he was glad that Rainbow dash finally listened to reason and said "Alright then. Tails, you keep an eye on Twilight ok?"
Twilighy then began to wonder about something, saying "Hold on a moment. If Tails can't run as fast as you guys and can't use magic like me, how can he-"
Tails integrated a moment to answer her concerns. "Well I actually CAN keep up with you guys AND help Twilight navigate through here."
Rainbow dash, who didn't look confident of the little yellow fox then said "Twilight's kinda right kid. I don't think she can protect you and carry you at the same time."
Spear and Sonic than looked at each other with confused looks and them back at Rainbow dash. Sonic then replied to Rainbow's statement. "What are you talking R.D? Tails doesn't need a ride OR protection."
Spear then claimed in as well and said "Yeah, I believe Tails was with us the last time we came here, and Tails may not look like it, but he can be very formidable. He can handle 50 badniks single handed if he wanted!"
Tails blushed in embarrassment. Knowing that his older brothers are hyping him up more then necessary. 'Come on guys, not again. Don't embarrass me infront of our new friends.'
Rainbow looked confused, not knowing how to process this, 'THIS little guy can handle THAT many badniks? But...I'll admit it, some of them MIGHT be tricky to deal with. I expected Spear And Sonic could handle them easy. But THIS kid?! How?!'
Twilight however, was confused. She didn't know what they were referring to. "Badnik? What's a badnik? Are they dangerous?"
Spear then decided to give a quick explanation of badniks to get Twilight up to speed. "Well basically, badniks are evil robots that are created by Dr ivo robotnik, Aka Dr eggman, and their purpose is to try and destroy us and help the doctor take over the world. Unfortunately for eggman, his badniks can never even come close to beating us!"
Twilight had a bewildered look on her face. She had NEVER seen Spear acting so cocky and nonchalant about a problem before. Confident? Yes. But cocky? This was something totally new for her.
Sonic then decided to jump back in and say, "Well, there are some things that only Tails can do. So no one's alone or singled out. Show them little buddy!"
Tails understood what Sonic meant and began to spin his two tails getting airborne. Rainbow dash and Twilight stood there in awe, faces gasping. They never expected him to be able to have the power of flight, especially without wings.
Spear then asked "Impressive, isn't it? Tails can fly by Spinning his tails around super fast. And he can whip them around so fast for an attack that can disable badniks. Course, Tails is more of a genius then fighter, but when the chips are down, he can bash badniks with the best of us!"
Twilight was more then impressed by Tails capabilities for someone so young. She reminded she of herself when she was younger, surprising other ponys with her magic potential.
Spear then said "Ok! So me, sonic, and Rainbow dash can scoot the city itself since we can cover more ground, and Tails, you can Twilight can cover Eggmans main factory. We'll all meet in the factory loading dock in an hour, deal?"
Sonic ,Tails, Twilight, and Rainbow dash(now broke off from her shocked expression) nodded and Sonic and Spear LITTERLY jumped off the Building and ran the side of it down with Rainbow dash close behind. Twilight knew that this was gonna be a interesting adventure as She and Tails began to investigate the inner factory.
As Tails guided Twilight safely though the factory levels, he started to get a sense of dèja vu. Especially when he noticed the local badniks that spotted them. Slicers,asterons,and shellcrackers!
These badniks were definitely more dangerous then the green hill badniks, but not as dangerous as future badniks and especially super badniks they fought before.
Twilight on the other hoof, was surprised by the appearance of the badniks. She was informed of them a bit from Rainbow dash about them but she wasn't expecting to look this ridiculous. If she wore to have a army to take over the world (not that she would, but has have fantasies of doing it from time to time) she would make them intimidating and cool rather then goofy and ridiculous.
The badniks may look silly, but their power was the real deal. Shellcracker launched a powerful claw attack at them, but Tails moves them out of the way and the claw hit the wall.
Twilight was shocked by the amount of power it had. She had to admit, she wasn't use to fight for her life. Or fighting in general. With all the peace that equestria had for centuries, their wasn't a need to fight or practice any form of combat or any offensive spells. Other then her standard levitation spell, she was defenseless.
Tails however, was ready for badniks. He spin dashed into shellcracker while it was unarmed and made quick work of the badnik bunch with ease with tail swipes and spin attacks. "That should take care of them. Maybe I can salvage parts to bulid 'it'."
Twilight was left in awe by the display, thinking 'W-what was that?! I thought Tails was the peaceful type and was gonna to talk them down. How did-"
Twilight them remembered what Spear and Sonic were talking about, "Tails may not look like it, but he can be very formidable. He can handle 50 badniks single handed if he wanted!" 'So Tails can fight AND be peaceful to others? And yet...I can't even defend myself when it matters...what dose that make me?'
As Twilight began to look at Tails, who was digging around in the scraps of the badniks leaf behind in Tails battle. "What are you looking for Tails?"
Tails replied while still looking "I'm looking for parts in these old badnik models. They may be old, but their parts are still high tech. I might be able to build something with them."
Twilight cocked her to the side and said "Build what exactly Tails?"
Tails gave a smirk and said "You'll have to wait and see~" in a sing song teasing tone. Wanting it to be a surprise for later.
While Tails was looking though the wreckage for parts he can use, Twilight decides to ask him a question that's been in her mind since Tails trashed the badnik bunch. "Tails..."
Tails gave a smile and said "Well, it's not like I fight to just hurt people for no reason, I fight to protect everyone, especially those we care about." Twilight stared in awe as Tails continued to say "while I rather use my smarts to save the day instead, I've learned that sometimes fighting is the only way. Even Sonic and Spear try to give their opponents a chance to surrender and give up their plans before engaging them in combat. Just because we can fight, we're not mindless.
Twilight then looked to the ground in thought. All this time, Celestia taught her that fighting wasn't the answer to problems. But Spear, Sonic, and even somepony- err someONE as young as Tails has given her food for thought and decided to think about and ask Spear about this. After finding everything he was looking for, they after to the loading dock to wait for the others.
Meanwhile, outside in the city, Sonic, Spear, and Rainbow dash were racing though the city. Searching for any clues about the mysterious entity that cased this while mess to happen. But apparently, there's no clue about what happened in the city. Or any sign of there friends in the city. So they all decided to head back to the facility and meet Tails and Twilight and the loading deck.
As Spear and Sonic began to run, it eventually turned back into their battle race from back in green hill. They ran though the city sparing and trashing badniks quickly while making their way though. Rainbow was shocked by the display here. Flight combat was something that she hasn't been the best at since she wanted to respect Twilight's 'no violence' rule. But after seeing their brawl she wanted to take a chance and try to convince Twilight to help her train the two of them and their friends to help protect equestria from those who didn't want friendship.
Meanwhile, while Rainbow dash was thinking about what she would tell Twilight, Sonic and Spear were talking about something. Spear then asked "Well? What do you think? Is this worth a try?" Sonic thought about their conversation and said "hmmm...sure, if they want to that is. Remember, you can't force these kinds of things right?" Spear sighed and said "Yeah, your right. I just hope they consider this."
Rainbow dash notices their conversation and asked "What are you guys talking about?" Spear then said "You'll just have to wait and see~" in a teasing sing song tone similar to Tails.
The three of them then raced through the factory as they dodged the steam pistons, wrapped through the pipes, and hopped on platforms in molten lava. Rainbow dash hovered in the air as she saw them do all of this and though 'Wow, and I thought the stunds I do are extreme. Their doing all of this like it's nothing!' She then continued following them as they continued through the factory.
After getting to the loading deck, Tails and Twilight spotted Sonic,Spear, and Rainbow dash and shouted "Sonic! Everyone!" They noticed the two brained buddies and began to discuss their findings. "This is definitely the metropolis zone. But we're not remotely near west side island. Did that monster do all this?"
Spear then looked around at the factory and said "It's possible. But look around, everything looks brand new. I thought this place would have some wear and tear after our first visit here."
Sonic then shook his head and said "We'll figure it out as we go along. Right now, let's focus on finding our friends." Tails and Spear nodded, knowing Sonic had the right idea.
After that discussion, Twilight then noticed a giant metal sphere by a deck and said "Hey guys? What's that over there?"
Spear then remembered what it was and said "That's a capture pod! It's where Eggman would put all the captured animals, but we always push the button and release all the animals before there turned into robots."
Twilight's eye Twitched and said "He would turn animals...into robot servants and soldiers?! How can he be so crual?!"
Spear then sighed and said "he's been at this for years. I guess he's used to it at this point. But with his more advanced robots, he uses more complex energy sources to power them. But for his basic badniks, he still uses animals to power them."
Rainbow stood next to Twilight ticked off, and said "If I ever see him, I'm gonna buck that guy in the face! How dare he do something to horrible!"
Spear then chuckled and looked at the pod and said "Where did this one come from anyway? I thought we already opened one up here the last time we stormed the factory?"
Sonic then replied, saying "Maybe this one is recent? Either way, I'll open it and see what's inside." Sonic then jumped on the giant button on top, pressed it, and opened it open to revel... Two of there friends as petrified statues!
Twilight yelled in a panic "SPIKE!!!" she, Rainbow dash and Spear ran to him as she said "Spike! Spike can you hear me?!" Sonic placed a hand on her shoulder and said,"Don't worry, once we get him back to ponyville, I'm sure he'll be back to normal in no time."
Twilight then nodded, still having tears in her eyes and said "Ok... I trust you Sonic." Spear then looked inside a bit more and found someone else inside too. "*Gasp* Amy!"
Spear then reached in and grabbed her and leaped out and said "looks like that's all there is here. Tails? Think you can wrap ring us back to town hall?"
Tails nodded and used the wrap ring and made a portal back to ponyville. As Sonic carried Amy through the portal and Twilight carried Spike, Spear and Tails crossed over as well.
Before Rainbow dash crossed over However, She looked behind her and said "Whoever thought This place was a good idea needs a swift kick in the head." She walked though and the portal closed.

Sonic generations: friendship is temporal
Plans for training! Hydro city water wars! Pt.1 (edited)
As the wrap ring opened in the town hall, our heroes jumped out from the metropolis zone, back to ponyville town hall. Where they could all breathe better than back in the zone were in. They placed their petrified friends on the floor and waited for the area to return to life.
"So, how long did it take for the library to be restored?" Tails asked. Spear then thought about how long Tails and Twilight's reverting took and said, "5 to 10 minutes I say. But given the fact that time doesn't exist here, it's hard to say for sure."
Sure enough, the transition from a lifeless and colorless town hall to a colorful and lively town hall of before began to happen. The whited out parts of town hall, along with the surrounding buildings in the area, began to regain their color.
Not long afterward, Amy Rose began to return to normal, looking at herself and celebrating with a twirl before stopping and saying, "You saved me, Sonic! I was afraid I wasn't gonna be able to flirt with you again!"
Sonic flinched at hearing that, thinking that he has to endure of Amy's overzealous love for him...with Sonic wished she would tone down the overbearing of affection she showed... He definitely would return the her affections for her.
He didn't dare tell anyone, not even tails, but Sonic... has had a crush on Amy. Ever since the shattered world incident, where she helped comfort him in his werehog form after not realizing it was him, Sonic has thought of Amy as a potential girlfriend...if she wasn't so overbearing with her emotions.
He then noticed a small smirk on her face, almost as if she was holding back a laugh. Turned out he was right, as Amy's giggles turned into full on laughter as she said, "Oh my gosh, Sonic, Your face was priceless!"
She then laughed more and more, at the- spur of the moment- prank she pulled on Sonic, to hopefully let him know not to be scared of her and her, admittedly 'very forward advances on him and said, "You seriously think I would behave like that in a crisis? Come on, you know me better than that!"
Spear and Tails were laughing as well as he saw Tails trying to hold back a laugh, while Spear was rolling on the ground laughing like a hyena. Sonic felt relieved and surprised by this. Relieved that Amy saw that the world was in danger and it wasn't the time for flirting, but also surprised that she had to pranked him so hard to prove a point. He'll have to get her back for the prank later on.
Twilight and Rainbow dash were confused, but before they could ask what that was all about, They noticed Spike's color coming back and he was moving again. Twilight's eyes started to water as she started to say "S-Spike?"
Spike looked up and saw Twilight's worried face. His eyes began to water up and said "T-Twilght?!"
The two of them ran to each other's embrace. Tears were shed as the two of them Hugged like brother and sister. They eventually broke the hug and turned to see Rainbow dash smile at them.
They then heard a squeal coming from behind her as Amy ran to them and said "OMG! This little guy is the most adorable creature I've ever seen!" Amy fell in love with the cuteness of Spike. While she was in love with Sonic as a lover. With Spike, it was definitely more of a sibling love she felt. She then calmed down, hoping she didn't scare him. "Ahem. Sorry about that. I'm Amy rose. What's your name little guy?"
Spike looked up and suddenly felt his heart beat faster. Amy's looks completely blew him away! He thought Rarity was the only one to swipe him off his feet. But this pink hedgehog was like a goddess. He immediately blushed and said "H-Hi. Umm...I-I'm S-Spike. N-nice to meet y-you." He quickly hide behind Twilight. Nervous about what to say next.
Before anypony could say anything, they all heard "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" The source of the yell was mayor mare. By name, she's the mayor of ponyville. "Guess I'll be playing Catch up then." Spear chuckled as he explained to Amy, Spike, and the mayor.
*Half an hour later*
After getting a rundown of the situation, the mayor then said "And there's no other possible explanation of what's going on?"
Spear shook he's head and said "I'm afraid it's the only explanation that makes sense. But don't worry, we'll make sure that ponyville and the surrounding areas are restored soon."
The mayor nodded as she looked at the new mobiuns behind Spear, Twilight, and Rainbow dash. Sonic was resting on a wall, Tails was tinkering with a device on he's toolbox, and Amy was snuggling with Spike, much to his enjoyment and embarrassment.
The mayor had her doubts, but put her faith in Twilight and her friends to help restore the world. They've save equestria before, and they can save them again.
Twilight turned and saw Amy snuggling with Spike and she began to feel jealous of Amy. 'Why is she snuggling Spike like that. I'M his big sister! So I'M the one he snuggles with!'
She decided to 'talk' to Amy about this later when she turned to Soinc and thought 'How dose Sonic do it? He's like Rainbow dash but more...controlled, calm, and dare I say, humble. Even if his ego shows now and then. And he can lift up anypony-er-anyone's spirit with his encouraging words. He's...amazing! I...I wanna learn from him. How to be a even better friend, a better hero, a better...me."
Twilight then saw Rainbow dash looking at Tails with a puzzling look and a tilted head. She then asked "what's wrong Rainbow dash?"
Rainbow dash turned her head to Twilight and said, "I'm still trying to figure out how a kid his age can beat 50 of those badniks at once. It's hard to imagine."
Twilight then giggled and said "Well I believe it. He saved my life from a badnik squad back in that factory. He's really amazing!"
Rainbow dash's mouth was left a gasp. She wasn't expecting this to come from for mouth. Or what she was about to say next.
Rainbow then looked at Twilight with a concerned look as she looked at Sonic, as she wondered how to ask him something.
Meanwhile with Amy and Spike, Spike was in a bliss. He had enjoyed the snuggles he would occasionally get from Rarity, and remembers getting snuggles back when he and Twilight lived in cantrlot, but Amy's snuggles were something incredibly special! She even smelled elegant! But...he still had feelings for Rarity as well. He didn't know who to give his heart to. For now, he wants to get to know Amy well enough to be considered a friend of hers and then figure out his feelings later on.
Tails however, managed to get everyone's attention by saying, "IT'S DONE!" Everyone looked at Tails when he made his sudden announcement. Twilight then decided to ask Tails "What's done Tails?"
Tails, after putting up his tools, starts to explain what's happening. "Well, after talking to Spear and Sonic about how they found the temporal portals. I believe we needed to find a way to track the portals more accurately to avoid running around ponyville blindly and hoping to find one at random. Luckily, Twilight was the one to inspire me on how to do it."
Twilight then looked surprised at what he said "How did I inspire you Tails? I don't think I did anything special."
Tails shook his head and said "Well, it was that special tracking spell that you used for Spike. So with the parts I found inside the badniks, I was able to invent a device to locate the portals dormant energy before they show up. It should guide us to the area where it is. I call it, The Temporal Tracker!"
The device in question was smaller then his miles electric and had a red covering on it with it being closable for easy storage and had two screens, one on the top and one on the bottom.
Sonic, Spear, and Amy clapped their hands in awe. Spike even joined in too. Even if he had no idea what's going on. Amy then said "And you made it out of busted badnik parts? Tails, your brilliant!"
Spear then ruffled Tails head fur and said "That's our little bro! Way to show your genius!"
Spike even commented "That sounds impressive! I bet there's nothing you can't build!"
Tails then became bashful and hid his face behind his tails "Come on guys, it's not that impressive."
Twilight then chuckled in amusement, finding it cute how Tails can be tough yet adorable at the same time. It actually reminded her of Spike. While Rainbow dash, wasn't exactly sold on it and said "You sure that thing can find these portals?"
Sonic then said "Heh, you may scoff Tails genius now, but his inventions are second to none! He always comes though for us! Not to mention, he even saved an entire city from Eggman all by himself!"
Rainbow dash, while surprised of Tails accomplishment, was still on the fence on if this would work. Tails saw her look and said "Sonic, how about I show my temporal tracker in action and show that it works?"
Sonic then said "Heh, sure buddy. Go for it!"
Tails then fired up the temporal tracker and immediately it picked up a energy signal from a portal. "Aha, Found one! It's in this direction!" Tails then ran to the road. With the others in tow, they quickly made there way to the signals source, Sweet apple acres!
As the group of heroes arrived at the farm, they saw the place colorless and void of life like the last few places they saw no doubt the portal was close.
Twilight was amazed, she didn't think it would be so simple to build a scanner for the portals. She then said "Wow Tails, I'm impressed! Your skills in inventing are simply incredible! If you want, when we have time, can you come to my lab back at the library? I really want to look at this device closer!" She said in a excited tone.
Tails blushed with pride, glad to see someone-er-somepony was interested in his work. The tracker began to beep loudly as they stopped in the barn and Tails says "Ok, according the the tracker, the energy should be in this barn here."
Amy then walked into the barn and said "This is such a cute barn! Whoever works here must be great at running such a big place!"
Spike decided to explain more about the barn to Amy with a grin on his face, much to Twilight's annoyance. "I can tell you about it! These acres actually belongs to our friend Applejack's family. There the best farmers in the area! And these apples are simply delicious!"
Amy's eyes widen and said "Apples you say? If I can get some of them, I can make all of us my famous Apple pie!"
Sonic, Tails, and Spear's mouths watered at the mention of Amy's famous Apple pie. They knew Amy's treats were out of this world, and the thought of her pies send them into a drooling daze.
Rainbow dash, Twilight, and Spike stared at them with confusion. Was her pie really that good? Now they wanted a taste to see if it's true.
Amy then snapped her fingers and the boys came out of their sweet induced daze. She then said, "Ok, so how do we open this 'time portal' anyway?"
Spear then replied, "Well, apparently we need to generate friendship though song and it will act like a key and open the portal."
Amy's eyes gleamed with excitement and said "Oh I love karaoke! What are we gonna sing?"
Spear then thought about it and said and said "I think it's supposed to come from the heart. That's a true sign of friendship. Right Twilight?"
Twilight nodded in agreement. The best things in friendship came from the heart. Even if they don't know they had hurt you on the past...
Sonic then noticed Twilight's brief moment in sadness and thought about talking to her about it later.
Amy saw her sad face as well and Said "Well, if a song of friendship is what we need, then let's do this! Twilight, can you and Rainbow dash help me out?"
Twilight was surprised that she wanted her help in singing. When any of her friends sang, they would just jump in, but Amy asked if she wanted to join out of kindness. She then nodded, as did Rainbow dash. She did love a good musical number as any mare. But she was nervous about letting somepony else take the lead if she didn't know them well enough.
The music started to play around then as they felt a feeling of freedom coming from the music. Twilight, Rainbow dash, and Spike didn't know what this meant. But Amy, Sonic, Tails, and Spear knew what it meant. It was what they felt in their hearts. Freedom to live how they wanted, to do what they wanted, on their terms. And that's the lesson wanted to pass on to their new Equestrian friends.
Amy began to sing first Hey lets go! 2x Lets take a journey all the way through time. Step forward then rewind! No matter where we go its you and me, we can rewrite history!
Spike, getting pulled by the music, jumped in and joined Amy's performance!

Amy's energetic feeling took over as the verse continued and took on a solo.

Amy continued to sing lead while Rainbow dash,Twilight, and Spike joined as back up.

When the song Whined down, Twilight and Spike felt a new sense of freedom in themselves. Something that was new to them. While with Rainbow dash, she hadn't felt this feeling in a while, and missed it. She saw Twilight's and Spike's faces and saw the same sense of freedom ad well. Maybe the three of them can go on a road trip one day to explore this feeling they all have...after saving ponyville of course.
The portal open shortly afterwards and Rainbow dash turned to Tails and said "you know what kid? You're pretty cool, making a gadget to find these portals much easier is truly amazing!"
Tails puffed up his chest in pride. Knowing he proved himself once again! He put up his tracker and Said "If we're gonna find out what's happening, we're gonna have to go and up into each portal and find clues to reverse the effects to this world and ours!"
The heroes all nodded as the all jumped into the portal one by one into the zone. But what awaits for them this time?

As the portal opened in Sweet apple acres, Sonic and the others jumped out and took in the statues on the ground. Spear paced back and forth as he waited for the depetrifing
Sonic saw that, like back in the library, Spear was on the verge of a breakdown. He walked over, hoping to lighten things up with a bit of humor. But stopped at the last minute. Thinking that wouldn't be appropriate for something like this. "Sonic? Have you ever known the feeling of raising a child? To be a father?"
Sonic was confused and shook his head. He has raised Tails like a brother, but never thought of raising a child before. He then looked behind him and saw the small winged pony statue and began to put two and two together. "The little one is your daughter, isn't she?"
Spear nodded. "Adopted daughter, but yeah, she is my daughter." He sighed as he looked up at the sky and tried to calm down. Sonic was surprised to see his friend in this somber state. He never imagined that his friend could act like this. Tails and Amy and Spike watched and heard them nearby as Twilight and Rainbow dash talked and waited for their friends to be back to normal.
Flashback
Spear began to tell them about how he and Scootaloo first met. It was actually around the time of Dimond Tiara's party, and the cakes hired him as a chaperone to supervise the party. Well, he, Twilight, and their friends were all Chaperones for the party. He also saw Her bullying Applebloom for having no cutie mark.
If there was one thing he couldn't stand, it was bullying, and he was about to step in and break it up. But then he heard two voices coming from under a table. It was from two fillys. And Spear recognized one of them. The white filly with the lavender mane was Sweetie Bell, Rarity little sister, and the other he didn't recognize. The orange filly with the magenta mare was Scootaloo, and she was the one to tell Dimond Tiara off about being a 'blank flank' as she called it. And this impressed Spear a lot and he saw a lot of himself in her at that age.
So, like Rainbow dash, he decided to take her under his wing. Especially since Rainbow was busy with training to be a wonderbolt and works at the weather factory to make time. But with Spear, yeah, he trains as well, but more often than not, he invites her to help with training.
However, Spear hears about something called a family festival that's taking place in ponyville in a couple of weeks and thought it would be fun to go. But all of his foster family was busy in his home dimension and didn't want to bother them with this. However, he then spotted Scootaloo by a Cliffside on his way back to his cabin and asked, "What brings you all the way up here all by your lonesome?"
Scootaloo stayed silent. That's odd. She's usually more excited and pumped up than this, but she's seems to be depressed for some reason. He thought about telling her about the family day festival that's coming up. Maybe they all can go together? He, Scootaloo, and Rainbow dash, there are like siblings, and that should count as family even if it's not official.
He then asked her, but Scootaloo started to get frustrated and said, "I'm not going! It's a stupid festival anyway! I don't want any part of it! Just leave me alone! Spear becomes confused and asks, "Is everything ok, Scootaloo? I've never seen you like this. Do you wanna talk about it?"
Scootaloo then said, "Promise you won't think of me as a wimp for crying about this? And don't tell Rainbow dash about this?" Spear then did one better, a Pinkie promise. This gave her confidence that she could tell him about this.
"Well... you know that in a couple of weeks is the family festival, right?" He nodded as he acknowledged it. "Well...on that date, my parents left on an expedition to find a rare flower that can cute magical illnesses. I wanted to go with them, but I was too young at the time. But they told me they would be back within a week or the day of the family festival at the latest. So a week later, I waited at the station for them. I waited, and waited, and waited. Even after the festival was over I when to the station to wait for months for them to return."
Scootaloo then started to cry as she continued. "Till one day...I gave up waiting. They left me, they forgot me. They didn't want me! I ended up living at the orphanage after a month after they left, and I've been there ever since! I'm so useless!"
However, this gets Spear angry. This incredible filly is calling herself useless?! The anger he felt inside him was immense, as he calmly said "Your wrong..." Scootaloo looked up and saw his face getting angry,tears in his eyes,and holding her in a tight embrace. "Your not useless. Your somepony who's gonna become a force to be reckoned with."
Spear let go of her and walked to the cliff away from her. He didn't want her to see him like this. But before he could run, he felt a pair of tiny hoofs grab onto his leg as she said "Spear? Are you...?" He breathed in and out as he said "Yes, I'm a orphan too. I lost my biological parents as a infant. I don't remember what happened, but one day our house was trashed and I was the only surviving soul left of the rebel."
Spear fell on his knees as the memories of those days came back. He broke down into tears as he remembered hearing that his parents were dead in the attack. He was lucky to have been adopted a year later by a young couple who even though they had kids with more on the way, had enough room for another child in their family. Some of the most fun he had before becoming a hero was with his little brother and ten sisters growing up. But the pain of his biological parents dead was still a painful memory to revisit, even now. "I wouldn't let anyone feel that kind of pain. Not if I can do something about it."
Scootaloo sat next to him crying as well as she heard his story. She didn't think that anypony could understand her pain. But here's Spear, who understood her and knew what she felt. The two of them say at the cliff before he took her back to the orphanage where they said goodnight.
After Spear left, he then had a thought. He once said that he wouldn't let anyone live the way he did. And here was Scootaloo, living the same kind of like he lived. He then ran home to plan something for her.
Two weeks later was the family festival, And Everypony was excited. Scootaloo even when there begrudgingly on Spear's request. She didn't know what he wanted, but she felt uncomfortable with all the families here and she didn't have one. Ms.Cheerie was here to help with the festival as well and saw Scootaloo there. She asked "Are you waiting for somepony Scootaloo?" She nodded and said "Yeah, I'm waiting for Spear to show up. He said he had a surprise for me here."
Behind them was Spear running to the festival as he said "Sorry I'm late Scootaloo! Your surprise ran a bit late!" Spear caught he breath as Scootaloo then Said "It's ok, I'm just glad your here!" She gave him a hug before she asked "So, what was this surprise you planned for me?" Spear them smirked and said "Funny you should ask. It's in here." Spear then opened his bag and brought out a folder on it. Scootaloo looked confused as Spear said "Open it. The surprise is inside."
She then opened it and was surprised to see a name on here. 'Scootaloo loud?' Scootaloo was confused. Till she noticed another name lower in the page. 'Spear loud?' She then looked at Spear and asked,"What's this?"
Spear then kneeled down to look at Scootaloo in the eyes and said,"Scootaloo, remember how I said that I wouldn't like someone feel the kind of pain that we know?" She nodded as he said "Well, I know it's sudden, but...would you like me to be your father from now on?" Scootaloo then realized what was happening. He wanted to adopt her. To be his daughter. For him to be her father. She then cried in happiness. She never imagined that she would have a father again after all this time. The two of them hugged as they enjoyed the festival as Father and Daughter.
End of Falshback
As Spear's story capme to a close, it surprisingly got different reactions. Tails was drying his eyes at the story, as it touched his heart. Spike remembered when he told him and the others the news and was happy Scootaloo found a family of her own. Twilight overheard the story and remembered how happy the both of them were that day. She blushed in happiness remembering that moment.
Rainbow dash knows more about the story then she let's on. She was near the cliff side to check on Scootaloo when Spear was there. She hid behind some trees as she heard what happened, and her heart broke. She was happy that Spear adopted her, but she made a promise to herself that she'll always be there for Scootaloo as well from now on.
Sonic and Amy had the same look of their face. Surprised and in awa. Being both orphans themselves, so the story touched them on a different level. They began to wonder something, and idea begins to form as they all heard something behind them. It was the same sound that happen when the others were turning back to normal.
They saw Scootaloo,Knuckles,and Applejack return to normal, as Knuckles and Applejack got to take in their surroundings, Scootaloo then spotted Spear with the group ran to him saying "DAD!!!" The father and daughter duo hugged as relief washed over them. Applejack didn't know what was going on, but was happy at the scene in front of her. While Knuckles was just confused, Having no idea what was happening.
After some introductions from both sides, Knuckles started to walk off as Spear said "And just WHERE do you think your going knucklehead?" Knuckles got a bit irritated but said "I'm heading back to Angel Island.i need to see if the master Emerald is safe."
This time it was Spear's turn to get irritated and said "Hate to break it to you, but the portal won't take you to the alter. So unless you wanna be stuck on the island with no way back, I suggest you stay with us, don't you think?"
Knuckles turned around and said "I never said I was using the portal. I was gonna use the wrap ring to head to Angel island and check up on it. Come on, give me SOME credit here?"
Spear blushed, getting embarrassed about his mistake. But he then said "Knuckles, I know your the guardian of the master emerald and all, and it should stay at Angel Island...but don't you think it would be safer to keep it around town for now? With everything all mixed up like this, I think the safest place to put it in is here in ponyville. Come on you gotta admit I'm right about this."
Knuckles hated to admit it, but he was right. With him being gone for so long, who knows what will happen to the master emerald. Plus, its power could help fix this mess. "Sigh...fine. but is there a safe place I can put it in to hide it when I bring it here?"
Spear, Sonic, Tails, and Amy began to think of something when Twilight stepped up,saying "Ummm Excuse me. But I know a place where we can put it." Everyone turned to Twilight as she asked "But, I have to ask, What's the master emerald?"
Knuckles was about to explain when they all heard a voice saying "Ooooooh, the Master emerald? I haven't heard that name in a LONG time!" Then appeared a really strange creature to Sonic and the others, it was a mixture of different creatures body parts that looked like someone put a lion,dear,bat, dragon, and a chicken in a blender and mixed them all up randomly.
However, to the Equestrian heroes and Spear, he was someone all TOO familiar. Twilight,Rainbow dash, and Applejack were on high alert, while Spear and Scootaloo smiled when he appeared. It was Discord! The God of Chaos himself. While everyone else was Cautious around him, Spear, Fluttershy, and eventually Scootaloo warmed up to him. In fact, To Scootaloo, he was an uncle to her. A silly uncle, but a uncle no less.
Discord made a dramatic entrance as confetti and fireworks shot out as he appeared. "Yo,Discord! Long time no see!" Spear said,waving to get his attention. Discord notice and said "Ah Spear! My chaos brother! How are you?" The two of them gave each other a high five as Scootaloo walked up "Uncle Discord!" He looked and said "Well, if it isn't my favorite Niece! Come here!" He hugged her and lifed her up as Sonic asked "Spear, who is this?"
Spear turned arand said "OH right! Guys, this is Discord. The God of chaos! He's a good friend of mine. Even if he can be a bit TOO chaotic for his own good." Discord scoffed the jab as Spear continued, "He tried to conquer Equestria at one point, but he's calmed down since then."
The other Mobiun heroes were surprised that Spear was friends with someone who tried to conquer Equestria. Even letting him near his daughter like that. Knuckles decided to speak his mind and said "Are you CRAZY!? If he tried to conquer this place, what makes you think he won't betray you and try again?!"
Spear looked at Sonic and smirked, Saying "Remind me Sonic, Who was it that fought us back on Angel Island when we first met him?" Knuckles grunted, knowing what he was referring to. "Plus, didn't half our friends started off as our rivals/enemies during our first encounter with them?"
Sonic remembered the first time the two of them met and Spear was right. He and Knuckles DID clash the first time they met and look at them now. Friendly rivals and a great friend of his. Sonic then said "Well, if Spear thinks your a good guy now, I think we should give you a chance. Right guy?"
Tails and Amy then nodded at Sonic. He was one to trust someone for a good reason. And while Knuckles was still on the fence on Discord, he begrudgingly trust him too. Twilight, Rainbow dash, and Applejack however, were still on guard in front of him after all that happened.
Spear then asked Discord, "What brings you here? Did you notice that Equestria looked like a boring office building?" Discord then looked around and said "Ohhhhh so that's why the whole world looks like a empty canvas! To be honest, I thought the animators were on strike again."
Everyone, except Spear and Scootaloo, we're kinda thrown through a loop as Spear then said "Say, Discord...do you think..." Discord gave him a disappointing look and said "Now Spear, even IF I had the power to turn everything to normal, it wouldn't help you by taking a shortcut, would it? Plus, even if i wanted to, I can't. I'm afraid whatever did this has somehow blocked my powers." Everyone looked at Spear, as he gave a guilty look on his face. Knowing that this wasn't gonna work.
"But..." They all looked at Discord in curious breath, wondering what he was saying. "I can tell you HOW you can continue onwards?"
Spear then said "Yeah,we know. Find the portals, save our friends, and restore ponyville. Simple, right?"
Discord then said "Oh, my naive young friend. You truly don't know what has happened do you?"
Twilight was getting impatient. They didn't have time for riddles or for Discord to toy with them. She then said "Enough with games Discord! Just either turn everything to normal or show us HOW to turn everything back to do it!"
Discord smirked and said "What games? I'm reformed, remember? I'm actually being somewhat serious here." Spear could tell he was messing with Twilight a bit there. But then said "Well, how DO we find more portals?" Discord then dawned a daring do inspired outfit, with Rainbow dash may or may not have Squeal at seeing, and said "I thought you never ask. Come along now! Their's portals to find!" And with a snap of his talons, he wraps everything to the portals.
After wrapping everyone, our heroes saw three portals in front of them with energy cables connected to a strange door with a lock on it. Sonic then asked "So, whats with all the portals and the vault door down there?"
Discord then shrugged his shoulders and said "How am I supposed to know? I just found this contraption and thought Bookworm here can figure it out."
Twilight grumbled at annoyance from the nickname, but then investigated the device. It seemed to be made up of gears from a clock and the energy cables were like wires. She hasn't seen anything like this before. Tails however, then inspired the device too. And had a idea. "I think I know what this is!"
Everyone then turned to Tails as he explained. "This portals are different from the ones we encountered before. Their like a security mechanism to the big portal down below. I'm betting if he shut the portals down from the inside one at a time, the energy from these portals will diminishing unlock the big portal down below."
Everyone then Applied at Tails for his explanation. Twilight was taken aback at his attention to detail, while Discord then said "Well done twin tail. That was super impressive!" He then dressed him up in a graduation gown with the hat and a diploma, saying,"We have one big brain in this fellas! And so young too! I wouldn't be surprised if you would replace Twilight at the smartest in ponyville."
This definitely stang for Twilight as she always prided herself as one of the smartest in ponyville. Spike spoke up and said "OH come on! We all know that Twilight is one of, if not THE smartest ponys in ponyville. Maybe even in all of equestria!" Twilight blushed at Spike's statement. Always taken aback by his words of confidence.
Discord then said "Hmmm. Guess will have to settle this another time. But for now, reality needs us. So! Any for you two genius know how to open the portal?"
They all knew what to do, when Sonic and knuckles began to have a argument. "Come on knuckles, you know this is more important right now!" Knuckles looked back at Sonic and said "I'm the guardian of the master emerald. And right now, that's my only concern at the moment!" Sonic fired back "The whole universe is at stake here! I know it's important, but we need to focus on the here and now!"
The two of them were focused on two different things now. Knuckles was too focused on guarding the master emerald and Sonic was trying to get him to see reason.
Rainbow dash was gonna go help Sonic convince knuckles to stay with them, but surprisingly, Applejack stopped her and said "Where do you think your going?" Rainbow dash then replied "To get knuckles to stay with us! This is pretty dangerous, and we need all hoofs on deck here!"
Applejack chuckled and said "You? Worried about danger? That's a new one now." Rqinbow dash started to get annoyed and said "What are you saying farmgirl? That I can't be serious?" Applejack rolled her and said "No offense sugercube, but I don't see you as a serious type." Rainbow dash growled a bit and said "Well, at least I'm not a workaholic who runs herself ragged all myself~"
When she said that, the area when completely silent. Twilight and Spike were caught off guard by what she said, The mobiun heroes felt a bit awkward being in the middle of this,Discord made a lawn chair and a bucket of cookie popcorn to see the show, and Spear and Scootaloo did a face and hoof pale respectively.
Applejack had anger on her face, but was also hurt Rainbow dash said that. She didn't know what to do, until she heard Sonic and knuckles arguing again as he said "Alright, that's it Sonic! It's about time I teach you some manners!" Sonic then said "Getting lessons from you? I'm sure I would make a better teacher here." Knuckles then replied "Grrrr, shut up! We're settling this now!"Sonic then had a cocky smile and said "So, hand to hand combat, eh? Heh, bring it on!"
Sonic and knuckles got into battle stands as they got ready to fight. But when Applejack saw it, she was inspired to do the same with Rainbow dash. "Rainbow, I believe it's time WE settled things ourselves!" Rainbow dash was confused and said "An iron pony competition? Now? I don't thing it's the right-" "I meant a actual fight,smart alec!" Applejack got into charging stands, to show Rainbow dash she meant business." Rainbow dash then gave a shocked look saying "Your...serious, are you." Rainbow dash then snapped out of it. If Applejack wanted a fight, she got one. "Heh, alright, bring it Cowgirl!"
Twilight and Spike panicked. This was bad, they were gonna fight. They had to put a stop to this! Before they could try, Spear,Amy, and Tails stopped them As Spear had "Hold on guys, let this play out." Twilight looked bewildered and said "What?! But there gonna hurt each other and not be friends anymore! We get to do something or else-"
Surprisingly, it was Amy who said "It'll be fine Twilight." She looked at Twilight with a sympathetic look and said "Sometimes friends need to work these things out. Even if they have to fight it out first." Twilight then replied in a shocked tone, saying "How can you say that?! You say that like this has happened before!"
Tails then chimed in and said "Sonic and knuckles do this from time to time. It's not from ill will or anything, it's just their way of working things out. And it's actually pretty funny to see them bickering like that. But, their also rivals as well, so they offen spar at times but their still great friends at the end!"
Twilight stood still, she never heard of fight helping to grow a friendship. Then again, she's learned the hard way that friends fight at times to work things out, even though she wishes she can avoid it sometimes.
But that thought quickly when out the window when she saw Spike snuggling Amy's side saying "Well, maybe sometimes, Friends need to work things out the hard way to be better friends. Right, Amy?" She nodded and smuggled him with both of them smiling happily. This made Twilight hit the roof saying "OK, THAT'S ENOUGH! SPIKE IS MY LITTLE BROTHER, NOT YOURS!"
This definitely got the attention of all the equestrian heroes. Twilight was usually a peaceful pony, except when she's late for a assignment, but now, she was peeved. Something that was really rare for her to do. But, she was mad, and wasn't gonna to calm down till she won her little brother back. "Amy rose! I challenge you to a duel! The winner gets to Spike's big sister forever!"
Spike was shocked. Was Twilight...jealous of Amy rose? He teared up, seeing Twilight getting jealous like that was touching in a way. But then realized that she was challenging Amy to a fight? Was that wise of her to do that? Before he can intervene, Amy then said "Alright, you wanna battle? We'll battle. Just remember, you asked for this. And this will be a excellent chance to show off my training too!"
And so, the three fights were happening simultaneously. Sonic vs knuckles (a classic), Rainbow dash vs Applejack, and Amy rose vs Twilight. Spear,Tails, Spike and Scootaloo were seating at the side with Discord. Who still had his lawn chair with him and ready to watch the show. "Well now. Never expected equestria to such sport like this! Maybe having your friends around will be fun after all!"
Spear rolled his eyes and said "Too bad we can't make it more exciting and get the portal open at the same time." That's when he had a idea! "Hey Discord, can you poof in some microphones in? Normal mics this time?"
Discord nodded and made four mics appear out of thin air. Tails then asked "What are you up to?" Spear then said "We're gonna make things more exciting and bring everyone up to speed. HIT IT!"
Discord,can't resist adding some flare, started to some fireworks and made them looking like a rock band. Which they were ok with! Spear and Scootaloo began the first verse as a duet.
Win or lose,

As the song was playing, the fights were raging. Sonic and knuckles struck with fast kicks and punchs that hit hard and fast as the two old rivals started to have fun in their brawl.
Applejack and Rainbow dash were fighting too,and for the first time, they were showing the other what they were made of, and we're enjoying it.
Amy and Twilight were also trying their hardest in their fight. Twilight with her magic and Amy with her hammer. But she also had a special trick in mind she wanted to debut. She then summon some tarot cards, filled them with energy, and threw them at Twilight! They hit her as Twilight then smirked. She couldn't believe how much fun she was having. She then changed as Spike and Tails did their verse.

As tiredness kicked in, the frustrations they all had began to fade off. Sonic and Knuckles cooled off, Applejack and Rainbow dash managed to settle their argument, and Twilight And Amy rose developed respect for each other, as the song began to draw out to a close. With all four of the singing joining together!
To and fro,
When the song ended, they head applause from behind them. Turns out, Discord split himself to multiple clones to make a audience for the event. The singers blushed as they all took a bow. The brawlers didn't k know what happened, but they still applaud in response.
As Sonic and knuckles gave a fist bump to each other, Twilight realized that maybe once In a while, a fight can clear the air between two friends. She'll have to make a friendship report to princess Celestia once this was over. But before that, she walked over to Amy and said "I'm so sorry I did that earlier. I got jealous when you were with Spike and i..."
Amy gave a warm smile and said "It's ok Twilight, I understand. Spike must be special to you to fight for him, huh?" Twilight nodded in response. Ever since she hatched him back at Celestia's school of gifted unicorns, She's been close to him ever since...ok maybe she hasn't been as close to him recently due to school work, but...Twilight then started to feel bad for not being for Spike. She decided that she'll make more time for him once they had time as Spike gave her a reassuring hug.
Meanwhile, Rainbow dash and Applejack, despite having calmed down, still began to talk things over. Rainbow dash began by saying "I'm so sorry for saying what I said A.J. I kinda went too far there and-"
Before she could continue, Applejack stopped her and said "No, I'M the one who should apologize sugercube. I did overreacted on your jab Cas...well, you kinda hit the nail on the head."
Rainbow dash grind and said "What do you say? Call it even and make up?" Applejack nodded and said "You got it sugercube."
The two of them hugged it out as the Sonic and Knuckles talking again. This time in a more calm tone. Sonic then said "So, your Convinced they can help you guard the Master emerald?" Knuckles then sigh, but gave a reassuring smile and said "Fine, you convinced me Sonic, I trust them. Plus, if Spear trust them, then why shouldn't I?"
As Knuckles said that, all three portals began to open. They knew they had to open them AND stop their infighting, and it worked in spades. Now it's time to dive in the portals and unlock the way to restore ponyville to normal.

The tales of the Chaos emeralds and Elements of harmony, Splitting up and scraping bots pt.1
As the portals opened up and energy connected to the vault and activated the lock, our heroes looked at the set of portals.
Wondering what they had to do, Tails and Twilight began to discuss ideas on how to solve this issue and what connections these portals have with the locks. Unfortunately, Sonic and Rainbow dash began to get impatient as Rainbow was to complain and said, "Come on. How long does it take to say 'let's explore the portals' anyways?"
Twilight began to get annoyed. If there was one thing that annoyed her, it was a complaining Rainbow dash. "If you MUST know, we're discussing if these portals are safe to travel through. AND deciding what's the best course of action to do it in. We don't want to risk going into these portals recklessly, right?"
Rainbow dash then remembered what she meant and immediately shut upped as Tails said, "I've done a scan of the portals and discovered that they ARE like the portals as before. And that their linked with the vault, like a security system."
Twilight continued to elaborate on Tails results and said, "There's also the fact that behind each portal is a sort of guardian. Defeating it will Cas not only the portal's link to the vault to break, but also release a key fragment that will combine to create the key needed to open the vault see what's behind the door."
Everyone then nodded as Sonic began to say, "Alright then, now as for who gose where -" Knuckles then interrupted Sonic and said, "Guys, I sence the Master emerald behind one of the portals!"
This causes the mobiun heroes to be alert as Knuckles began to charge at the portal, but Spear and Sonic stopped him as Spear said "Whoa there knuckles! I know getting the Master emerald is important, but we don't know which portal it's in or what we're gonna run into in there. How about whoever finds the Master emerald, brings it back here for safety, ok?"
Knuckles begrudgingly nodded as The equestrian heroes began to question what he meant with Twilight asking, "Ok, we've heard you guys mention this "Master emerald" a few times already. But I gotta ask, what IS this Master emerald your talking about?"
Sonic and the others nodded to each other Sonic said "Well, I guess it'll go easier if we explained what it was. But in order to understand it, well have to first tell you about the Chaos emeralds first." Twilight looked confused and asked "Chaos emeralds? Are they connected to the Master emerald?"
Sonic nodded as he said "Wanna start us off Tails?" Tails nodded as he began to explain the Chaos emeralds to Twilight and the others. "The Chaos emeralds are seven gems of unlimited power. They have been in countless legends, myths, and properties ever since history was first recorded. Nobody has found out who made them or why they were created in the first place. And everytime we learn something new about them, more questions about them surface."
Knuckles then decided to explain the Master emerald as he was it's guardian. "As for the Master emerald itself, from what I've know about it, I've learned from the tales and writing left behind by my people. The Master emerald has been around for just as long as the Chaos emeralds, possibly even longer. It was created for the sole purpose of enhancing or neutralizing the Chaos emeralds power. And the Master emerald itself has infinite energy itself. And as the guardian of the Master emerald, it's my duty to protect it of being use for evil intentions."
Amy then picked up where Knuckles left off, "The Chaos emeralds can be used for any number of things. Like powering up machines for examples. And they also other powers as well. Like teleporting, stopping time, time travel, traveling between dimensions,healing a person-or a pony's injuries, resurrecting the dead, and even empowering themselves with Chaos energy. The possibilities are limitless!"
Spear then continued on to a critical part of the explanation. "However, their most legendary capability is that they can turn the welders thoughts into power. And the emeralds are also somewhat sensitive. And can sence the if the user is good or evil."
Spear then brought a chalkboard (thanks to Discord), and continued to explain his section of the emeralds. "Depending on the thoughts of the user, they can assess different powers of the emeralds. If the user has good motives with positive emotions, they can assess light chaos energy. But if the user has bad intentions with negative emotions, they can only assess negative chaos energy."
Spear then closed his eyes and said "However, that's only scratching the surface, And other anomalies can happen too. For example, if someone uses emotions like anger or sadness around the emeralds but has a strong heart to control the power, they can use dark chaos energy. A strong heart is CRITICAL to keep your mind in check, Cas even if your using positive emotions but your heart becomes corrupted, it'll turn you into a corrupted and mindless monster. But thankfully, that last example about corruption doesn't happen often."
Sonic then took over after seeing Spear get kinda winded on explaining the lore on Chaos energy. "And all on that can happen depending on your mastery on controlling the emeralds and their power. And with one emerald, the user can wield unlimited power. But they said that if some gathers all seven chaos emeralds together, a miracle happens, and the user can also weld ultimate power."
Twilight and the other equestrian heroes were amazed at what they heard. They never could have imagined any artifacts with that much power. However, Rainbow dash then thought of something. "Hey Twilight." Twilight turned to Rainbow dash as she said "Those Chaos emeralds...they kinda sound like the Elements of harmony, don't they?"
The mobiun heroes, except Spear, were confused about what they were talking about as Amy said "The Elements of harmony? What are those?"
Twilight, having the most knowledge of the Elements, thought she was the best one to explain what the elements were. "Well...Since you guys were kind enough to explain what the Chaos and Master emeralds were, it's only fair that we explain what the Elements of harmony are."
Twilight then prepared a speech on the Elements of harmony. "The Elements of harmony are six gems that contain the greatest magic that pony kind has ever seen. No pony know who created them, but there purpose is to protect the harmony between pony kind. The Elements are made up of the six elements of friendship. And each of us are the manifestation of a element."
Twilight then pointed ar Rainbow dash and Applejack and said "For example, Rainbow dash is the Element of loyalty. And Applejack is the Element of honestly. While I'M the Element of magic. And the rest of our friends are Elements too. The Elements of laughter, generosity, and kindness."
Twilight then continued to explain the lore on the Elements saying "Before the six of us found the Elements, our rulers Princesses Celestia and Luna, used the Elements in turn Discord to stone when he ruled Equestria." The mobiun heroes looked at discord as he said "Yes, Yes, we got that part, but I'm reformed now. It's not like I plan to try again or something like that."
Twilight cleared her throat and said "But after that, The princess ruled equestria together and returned balance to it. With Princess Celestia, rising and setting the sun. And Princess Luna, rising and setting the moon."
The mobiun heroes were surprised at the mention of the Princesses power to move the moon AND sun on there own. That was a impressive feat.
Twilight then closed her eyes as she continued the story. "However,during their rule, Princess Luna grow jealous that ponys adored her sister's sun while her moon was shunned by sleep...so she threatened to let the night rule forever, till princess Celestia used the Elements of harmony to...to banish her sister in the moon for a thousand years."
The mobiun heroes were surprised and felt bad that Celestia would be forced to banish her own sister to the moon. But Sonic felt especially bad for Luna. Her jealously caused her for be imprisoned for a thousand years. He couldn't imagine imagine himself having to endure that kind of punishment away from his friends like that. It actually reminded him of a certain wizard he knows that he recently met.
Twilight opened her eyes and smiled and said "Thankfully, after a thousand years passed and Nightmare moon returned, my friends and I found the Elements of harmony in their old castle and used them to free Princess Luna from her jealousy, anger, and the nightmare that had trapped her for centuries. Now, the six of us stand as the new Element welders, ready to defend Equestria from any danger."
Sonic and the others were surprised by the story that the Elements had with their lives. And hearing a bit about the Elements, Tails began to have a interesting theory. "Twilight, when you and your friends use the Elements, dose it feel like that there...alive in a sence?"
Twilight began to the moment that she and her friends first got the Elements of harmony all that time ago and remembered how they seemed like that they pulse with life when they first used them. "Well, it definitely felt like they were alive at some ponits...why?"
Tails began to think and said "Well...if our worlds have connections with each other with similarities...it MAY be possible that a seventh element of harmony is out there somewhere."
The equestrian heroes were surprised at Tails threoy. A seventh element of harmony? How would that be possible? Spear then thought about, and it made sence. "I don't think Tails theory is too far off. If we didn't find the seventh chaos emerald till our adventure in west side island, maybe we missed something at the castle of the two sisters?"
Twilight began to think about this. Was it possible that they missed something in the castle? "Sonic, do you mind waiting here while I do some research? Spear, Spike, and Tails, you come with me. We need to investigate this theory."
Sonic nodded but then asked "Mind if i tag along? You might need a extra pair of hands to help find what your looking for." The five of them then made their way to Golden oak library, while Knuckles, Amy, Rainbow dash, Applejack, and Scootaloo, waited by the portals for them to return.
As the five of them arrived at Golden oak library, which has more of its color back than before and Twilight immediately got into her 'research mode' and began to look for info to support evidence on a seventh Element of harmony. "Spike, can you hand me the book 'Equestria's myths and legends'?"
Spike gave a playful salute and said "You got Twi!" Spike began to look around for the book and gave it to her, "Thanks Spike. What would I do without you?" She nuzzled his cheek with her own as Spike blushed. It had been awhile since she's shown THIS much affection to him.
Sonic then decided to poke around the library and see what books they have. He eventually found a book with a cover of a tan Pegasus with a Indiana Jones looking hat on her. Twilight looked up for a second, smiled and said "I see you found one of my daring do book's Sonic. If you want, you can read them. I think you would like them. There's full of adventures you might like."
Spear's ears Twitched when he heard Daring do and said "Did somepony say Daring do? Oh I love that book series! Sonic, you HAVE to read it! It's really good!"
When Twilight saw Spear geek out as he began to show Sonic the Daring do books, she smiled. She remembered when she introduced him to the Daring do series ànd how absorbed he got into it. The two of them, along with Rainbow dash, would get together and talk about her newest books, Daring do theories, and hoping one day go to a Daring do convention together. Even on days when Scootaloo was on a sleepover, she and Spear would cuddle together with a Daring do book. She blushed remembering the softness of his fur on hers.
"Eques to Twilight. Are you there?" Spike snapped his claws to get her as Twilight snapped out of memory lane blushing at a smug Spike as he said "Your thinking about you and Spear cuddling near the fireplace again, are you?" Twilight blushed and said "S-Shut it Spike! I don't want him to hear us!"
Thankfully, Spear didn't hear them. In fact, just like Twilight, he was in full on research mode. After hearing more about Tails theory on a seventh Element of harmony, he actually began to wonder, are the Elements of Harmony are this world's version of chaos emeralds, is it possible to unlock the full capabilities of the Elements with chaos control? The thought of all that potential got him extremely excited to say the least.
Tails was intrigued by all the books on magic and wondered how magic worked in this dimension. He'll have to ask Twilight on the details on the basis of magic later on.
Sonic, after reading and liking the daring do book, began to explore the library and found a door that lead to a underground lab. He then Said "Yo Tails! Look at this!"
Tails then walked to the door and was in awe at the technology in the lab. While it wasn't as advanced as his lab back at home, but was still impressive since this world didn't look like it was incredibly advanced, technology wise. "Wow! This lab looks really cool! Is it yours Twilight?"
Twilight walked over to the lab as she saw Tails geeking out over her lab. She smiled and said "Well yeah, it actually is. When me and Spike first moved in, it was only a basement for extra space. So, with some connections from cantrlot, I managed to set up the basement with some of the most advanced equipment I could find and make this lab."
Tails was all giddy and then asked "You know Twilight, as impressive as this lab is, maybe I can help you improve on it. Do you mind if I add a 'Tail spin' on it?"
Twilight, while rolling her eyes on the pun, smiled and said "Sure, but maybe after we finish our research on a seventh element of harmony. But, to be honest. I'm kinda wondering if it's a giant-"
"Sorry to interrupt Twilight, but what's with the pile in the corner over here?" Sonic then pointed to the pile in question and both Twilight and Spear realized what the pile was. They turned to a very nervous-looking Spike as he smiled awkwardly.
"Spike...is that the pile of stuff you hoarded during your greed spurt?" Twilight looked at her little brother with a disappointed face as she stared him down.
Sonic and Tails were confused at what Twilight was talking about as Spear filled them in. "See, it was Spike's birthday and it was the first time he celebrated it with friends, so we kinda gave him alot presents, not knowing that dragons are greedy by nature."
He began to feel guilty as he was apart of causing his pain in the first place. "So, he began to subconsciously hoard stuff due to the sudden greed and became a giant dragon and almost destroyed ponyville."
Spear then smiled and said "Luckily, our friend Rarity, somehow managed to get to the real Spike and helped him to return to normal. Thanks to a act of kindness he did for her earlier that week."
Sonic and Tails were surprised by the development of this. They definitely weren't expecting something like that. Tails then asked "So, what WAS the act of kindness that helped him snap out of it?"
Spear chuckled and said "See, Spike was aging a gem, dragons eat gems by the way, for his birthday called a fire ruby. It's a ruby in the shape of a heart."
Tails looked confused as Spear said in the shape of a heart. "Yeah, I don't know the geology of Equestria either."
Spear continued to explain and said "Long story short, Rarity came by and was really enamored by the gem, Spike saw it and decided to give it to her instead of eating it himself."
Sonic then manged to put two and two together and said "Was it because he has a crush on her?"
Spike overheard what they were talking about and blushed, said "I-I was just being nice, ok?!"
Twilight remembered that day and she admittedly felt bad for him. She remembered that he was so excited about eating the fire ruby, only for him to give it away. She has tried to find another one to give him, but she hasn't been able to find one. She wondered how Spike managed to find one in the first place.
She then turned back to Spike and asked "Spike, why do you still have some of that pile that I asked you to return to the ponys you took from?"
Spike sighed, as he knew that he was gonna have to explain himself one day. "Well, remember when you told me to return everything I took from everypony? Well, I did. And everypony was grateful I returned their stuff. But..."
Spike began to look sad and said "Some of the ponys refused to accept their stuff back. Some of them said they already replaced their belongings...while others..."
Spike didn't want to say it, but he HAD to explain why the pile, while much smaller, was still there. "There were ponys that were scared of me. And even angry at me for taking their things and accidentally destroying their homes. They wanted to run me out of town like a wild animal. I even thought that...Is it even worth staying here anymore?"
Spike's reason suddenly became clear to her. It also explains that, despite having been treated like a hero, he still seemed like he was holding on to guilt. She saw Spike trying to hold on to his tears as the memories returned from that day. Twilight then hugged him to try and comfort him. Letting a few tears fall as her heart breaks for her little brother.
Sonic, Tails, Spear felt bad for Spike as they remembered how they felt when they first encountered humans, other then Spear's adopted family.
After a few minutes of comfort, they continued to look for existence of a seventh element of harmony, when Twilight then realized something. "Sonic, you and the others seem to be really knowledgeable about the emeralds, right?"
Sonic nodded as Twilight then asked "Then I have to ask, how DID you and the others come to know about the Chaos emeralds and Master emerald?"
Sonic then began to tell the story of how he and his friends first discovered the Chaos emeralds. From their first adventure on south island, to their adventure on north star island. And the stories fascinated and surprised her.
Hearing that the emeralds helped to start their friendships, just like how the Elements of harmony helped to form her friendship with Rainbow dash, Applejack, Pinkie pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity.
She was about to ask what when Spike suddenly said "Ummm guys?"
Spike then pulled out a round rock with a gem marking on it. Sonic and the others wondered what it was, but Twilight was shocked at what it was. She recognized what it was. "Spike...where did you get that?"
Spike then looked at the pile and said "I found it after looking through my "Hourd" and I thought it was important."
Twilight then had a stary look in her eyes, and hugged him saying, "Ohhh Spike your amazing! You found it! YOU FOUND IT!"
Spike blushed at the hug and said "Twilight, what's going on?!" Twilight then kissed his cheek in excitement saying "Spike, I don't know how, but you found the lost seventh Element of harmony!"
Spike's eyes widen as he said "Seriously? Wow! How did i find it? Or, WHERE did I find it?"
Twilight then let go of Spike and put him on the floor. Happy that the element was found. Spike then began to wonder, "But...how DO we activate the Element? Or should I said, Twilight, how DID you and the girls activate the other Elements of harmony in the first place?"
Everyone began to think of a way to achieve the dormant Element, till Spear thought of a crazy idea. "Why not use the Master emerald's power to activate the element? I mean, if we're right, and the Elements of harmony ARE Equestria's version of Chaos emeralds, then the Master emerald SHOULD resonate with it."
Twilight WAS a bit concerned about using a unknown magic to activate a Element of harmony, but Sonic and Tails actually agreed with his theory.
Tails began to explain "I think Spear has a point! If The Master emerald can synchronize with the Element of harmony with someone who it thinks is worthy, then the Element SHOULD come to life. And find it's rightful bearer."
Sonic then casually put his arm around Twilight and said "Trust me Twi, things will work out. And if the Master emerald can't connect with the Elements, will find another way. You just gotta believe in the unknown sometimes."
Twilight then remembered when she tried to understand Pinkie pie's Pinkie sence, but could never understand it, despite all her attempts at studying it.
But Sonic somehow made her think that, it could be possible to trust in something she didn't understand. And it enforces her choice on to learn more from Soinc about friendship.
The group then left the library to meet up with everyone with the-soon to be awaken-seventh Element of harmony.

As the five of them returned to the spotted three portals they began to notice the number of friends there were...smaller then before. Specifically, down by two. Rainbow dash began to walk up to them and said "Hey guys! Glad to see your back!"
Twilight looked around and asked Rainbow dash, "Rainbow, where's Applejack and...Knuckles was it? Where did they go?"
Rainbow dash sighed and said "That red guy kept yammering something about 'Senseing the Master emerald nearby' and ran into one of the portals at random. Applejack ran after him to try and get him back here."
Twilight then began to panic and said "OH great! Now what?! And when I was about to suggest we stick together when going in the portals too! How are we gonna track them down, AND figure out these portals!? And where's Discord for that matter?!"
Scootaloo then said "Discord mentioned something about 'Wanting to see the action in comfort' and when to get a lawn chair and snacks."
Spear rolled his eyes and said "Yep. That sounds like Discord alright. Dude reeeeally to mess with us, even if he isn't doing it on purpose."
Twilight, after calming down thanks to Spike, then asked "Well, what's our next move? We STILL need to figure out how these portals and that huge gear vault...thing, are connected."
Sonic then gave a serious expression. A rare sight to the mobiun heroes but a surprise to the equestrian heroes, since they never seen him like this. "We'll just have to divide and conquer. It'll be easier if only a pair of us go into each portal. Like Twilight said, we don't know WHAT these portals hold. But, it'll go alot faster if we go in pairs instead of all of us at once. And a lot less risky too."
Twilight when through the calculations in her mind and realized that Sonic was right. It would be less risky to go in pairs. And still protective for the others. Strong, inspiring, AND smart?! Twilight has finally made up her mind. She walked in front of him and said "Sonic, I know this is sudden but...Please be my teacher!"
To say that this was a sudden shock was the understatement of the decade as everyone then said "YOUR WHAT?!"
Twilight then began to explain excitedly. "Your so amazing Sonic! I know we just met a few hours ago, but you've already proven to be so outstanding! Your strong to protect those who are weak, you've shown that your a incredible leader, and you've shown to be a tactical genius! Your such an inspiration Sonic, and I wanna learn everything I can about being a hero!"
For once in his life, Sonic was speechless. He didn't think that he would leave so much of an impression on the unicorn. He then looked to Amy, hoping that she would help him out of this.
But surprisingly, Amy smiled. She said "Awwwww, I think that's a great idea! Sonic can be a role model for her! Just make sure to not copy his bad habits. Like his ego and overconfident. After all, a good role model needs to set the example."
Sonic became annoyed at Amy fanning the flames of Twilight's idea, but at the same time, the idea didn't sound so bad. She seems like she really wants to learn. And Sonic can sence some deep rooted hurt in her heart. Maybe being her can give him a chance to help her.
He then grinned and said "All right, you want me to be your mentor? Then you got it! I'll show you how to be a hero, Sonic style!" He then did a flip, crossed his arms, smiled while making his right hand stick out his finger and thumb out.
Twilight's eyes glimmered at Sonic's coolness as she made mental notes on how to strick a pose like that.
Amy, Tails and Spear face palmed, knowing it was too late to save Twilight from copying Sonic showboating.
Spear then decided to get back on track with the mission and said "OK, now that class is in session, let's get to work on getting those portals unlocked."
Sonic agreed and said "Right, let's spilt up. Tails, can you keep stay here and in contact with us on coms?"
Tails nodded and said, "You got it Sonic!" As he gave Sonic a set of radios and says "You won't be able to talk to each other, but you are connected to the temporal tracker. I'll act as your eyes and let you know where the key is."
Sonic nodded and said "Alright then, Meanwhile, we'll split up and scout out the portals and take out the guardians inside while were at it."
Twilight wanted to see Sonic in action and study how he handles dealing with these "Badniks" up close. She had gotten some good data on Tails fight. But with Sonic as her teacher now, she needed to see how he dose it so she can apply it to her still developing fighting style.
So, she then blared out, "I'll go with Sonic!" Everyone was confused at the sudden request as she says "To be his support of course...and perhaps to take notes on how he fights." She then flashed a embarrassed smile as she realized that what she said sounded kinda desperate.
Sonic however, smiled and gave a thumbs up, saying "OK, that's one pair down. Spear, what about you?"
Spear looked at a certain small dragon and said "I'll take Spike with me." Rainbow dash looked shocked and dumbfounded as she said "What!? But I wanted to go! Why are you taking Spike? No offense little dude."
Spike gave a annoyed look while Spear simply said "Cas I think facing the guardian will be a good test for his new doom powers."
Tails gave a confused look as he said "Doom powers?" Spear then explained, "Well, he got those new powers from that power seal thing, and it came from black doom, so..."
Tails gave a deadpan look, rolled his eyes on the word play and said "Ok then. Good luck you guys.
Rainbow dash pouted, but reluctantly agreed with this as she landed on the ground, Knowing that she was out numbered in the discussion, when Discord poofed in and said "Oh, I'm not late, am I? I've brought snacks to see the fights!"
Tails looked confused and said "Wait, you can see into the time spaces? How?"
Discord then petted Tails on the head and said "Well Twin tail, it took a bit of my power, but I created a window to view these isolated time spaces. For those who wish to rest in between missions."
Tails admittedly looked impressed by the skill and said " So, we can see and talk to them through the window?"
Discord shook his head and said "Not exactly. We can see though it, but can't talk though it. It's Also a one way window, so we can see in, but they can't see us."
Tails nodded at the explanation and said "Well, will still have the radios for communication. But, how do we know it'll work? Can we get a demonstration?"
Discord smiled and said "I was hoping you would say that! I'm already beginning to like you."
Discord snapped his fingers and the window opened to view the a massive space station which got everyone's attention as they gathered to the window.
Rainbow dash was the first to question is and said "What's that thing? And...is it out in space!?"
Twilight's eyes sparkled at the site as she said "Sonic, in your world, you have buildings in space?! I never thought it was possible! I mean, I know scientists are working on a way for ponys to go to and from space, but to have a actual building IN space orbiting the planet is so...so AMAZING!"
Sonic shook his head and explained, "Well not normally. But this space station isn't a good thing. It belongs to Dr.Eggman."
Twilight's excitement deflated a bit when she heard the name and said "Wait,What?! He was able to create a space structure all on his own?! How?!"
Tails then explained about the space station in question and said "Well, remember the factory we were at when we rescued Spike and Amy? Well, the parts and construction of the death egg were at the metropolis zone we were at."
Rainbow dash heard the name of the station and said "Wait, seriously? The death egg? THAT'S it's name? Sounds kinda ridiculous don't you think?"
Spear then continued and said "It may be a silly name, but its definitely the real deal. It holds so much power,that world conquest from there is easy. But, Me and Sonic defeated Eggman and blew up the station some time back."
Scootaloo then walked up to Discord and said "Uncle Discord. Why are you showing us this 'Death egg' thing anyway?"
Discord smiled and said "I believe you all mentioned a certain 'Knucklehead' when through a random portal and ? Well, this is where it leads."
They all gathered to see the window, wondering what's gonna happen.
Aboard the Death Egg
In the cold, empty halls of the Death egg, a portal opened up as Knuckles jumped out of it and began to look around.
He could have sweared he felt the Master emerald through the portal. Maybe he ran through the wrong one?
He was about to go back when something orange jumped on him and the portal closed. He opened his eyes and saw Applejack on top of him. He then said "Wait, aren't you..."
Applejack got up and frustratingly said "What in tarnation were you thinking?! Running off without warning, that's so reckless of you!"
Knuckles then had a annoyed look on him as he got up and said "No one ask you to follow me you know. I'm capable on taking care of myself."
Applejack growled a bit as she heard him and said "Why you-" She then breathed in and out to calm down and said "Guess there's no ponit in arguing now. Let's just-"
Applejack turned around and saw that the portal was closed. "W-What happened?! Where's the portal?!"
Knuckles shrugged and said "Probably closed when we came through. Guess that means we'll have to defeat the guardian to reopen it again."
Applejack, once again, became frustrated at knuckles 'one track mind' approach and said, "How can you be so casual about this?! It's like you don't think of the consequences of your actions, unless it'll get what you want!"
Knuckles started to look irritated that a apparent farm girl was trying to run his live. He then said "Look, I'm the guardian of the Master Emerald. It's my job to protect it from anyone who would try and misusing it's power. Its my destiny, And I won't have some farm girl tell me how to live MY life!"
Applejack was growing irritated as well from Knuckles, said "I bet your parents are REAL proud of you, being so reckless and headstrong like this!"
Knuckles then gave a saddened face as he said "...I don't...know my parents."
Applejack then Blinked for a second. 'Did...did I heard that right?' "Y-You don't know your parents?"
Knuckles then shook his head. He couldn't believe he was about to open up to someone he doesn't know. But, it might just get her to understand his side of things.
He sighed and said "No. I have no memory of them. At least, not after I was three or somewhere around then. All I remember was being hatched from my egg. Any memories from before I was three are too fuzzy to recall."
Applejack's ears then dropped in sadness as she would have never expected for knuckles to have this much pain he hid deep down.
She kept silent as knuckles continued to tell his side of things, unaware that the others were also listening in from temporal ponyville. "As if that wasn't bad enough, I'm also the last of my tribe. Maybe even the last of my kind. And because of that, the duty of guarding the master emerald is all I have from my people. This massive responsibility is all I have. So I can't afford to fail in it. Not now, now ever."
Applejack was in awe, surprised at his back story and hearing some of his heritage. But she also felt a kinship with him. While she had memories of her parents back when she was a young filly. In fact, the last memories she had of them were around the time Applebloom was born.
She never had as many memories of them as she would have liked. With helping with the farm, moving to Manehattan to live with her cousins the oranges, she had her life busy even that young.
However, on the day that they passed away, she felt like her world had collapsed, and she suddenly had more responsibilities that she needed to handle In a hurry.
She then muttered something under her breath, but knuckles caught on and heard something she said and asked "Wait, what did you say?"
Applejack sighed and said "I said, I have a idea of how you feel. I lost my parents when I was young. It...really hurt when they passed on. I also had to be more responsible since we work on the family farm."
She sighed as she relived those memories. "I basically had to lose my fillyhood to rise up and take their place on the farm, raising Applebloom, and helping granny now that she's in her older age."
Knuckles then began to feel bad for her. She didn't think there was someone else in the universe that had a similar experience has he did. It actually feels kinda reliving that he wasn't the only one to feel this responsibility.
Applejack then kicked her foreleg as she talked about some of the more...recent memories she had. "But, now that I'm the weirder of the element of honesty. That also means I have a responsibility to all equestria now. Always ready to help defeat a villain when they show up...not that we've been great at it though..."
Knuckles then walked up her and hand on her shoulder and said "Turst me when I say, I get it. I'll be honest, I'm not the BEST guardian in the world. A lot that I learned was self taught. A side from all the lore on the chaos emeralds and master emerald. At least you have others that can help you."
Applejack then tilted her head in confusion and said "Hold on a minute sugercube. You don't SEEM to be alone. It seems like your chummy with that Sonic feller."
Knuckles then crossed his arms and grunted and said "He's ummm...what's that word Tails used...aquatic? No,No...ummm"
"An acquaintance?" Applejack answered, even though she didn't have a big vocabulary like Twilight, she's picked up other words she doesn't use from her other friends like Rarity, Twilight and surprisingly Spike as well.
"Yeah, a acquaintance. Well, more like a rival. We push each other to our limits when we fight. And sometimes, we DO hang out when he and the others visit. Isn't that what acquaintances do?" Knuckles said, believing his statement was accurate to his and Sonic's friendship.
Applejack,while hearing knuckles statement, notice one piece of info that seemed to be a bit of a stretch. She then raised one of her brows and said "You know knuckles, being called the element of honesty, isn't just a title. I can tell if your telling the whole truth or not."
Knuckles then decided to raise a brow, wondering what she meant by that. "You can tell if someone tells the whole truth? Is that some kind of special power the elements gave you or something?"
Applejack shook her head and said "I've always had a sense for finding the truth since I was young. But since bonding with the element of honesty, my scene of finding the truth has been a bit better...(but it's still not good enough.) Applejack said, making sure not to say that last part out loud.
Knuckles heard that last part, but Decided not to bring it up if she didn't want to talk about it. He then decided to switch the conversation and ask "So, if you can sence the truth...what part of what I said earlier was the lie?"
Applejack was about to answer his question, when a loud mechanical slam on the ground near them. Near by, was a large silver colored robot with claw hands, sharp blades for spines, and a menacing look on it's face. This was Silver Sonic.
Silver Sonic then spin dashed Into the duo, but knuckles quickly grabbed Applejack and dodged out of the way. The two of them landed in front of some crates as Applejack said "What IS that contraption?!"
Knuckles, never having to fight Silver Sonic before, didn't know who this bot was. But had a idea of what it was. "Grrr...I'm not completely sure. But I know that's one of the Doctors robots. Maybe a old prototype of Metal sonic?"
Applejack then gave a confusing look and said "A Metal what now?"
"Metal sonic is a robot that Dr.Eggman created to mimic the original Sonic's powers and speed." Applejack looked around and asked "You hear that knuckles?"
Knuckles nodded, having a feeling that he knows who spoke. He then looked in the crates behind him and a small blue Chao shaped robot flew up and said "Knuckles! Oh I'm I glad to see you! Thank you for the save!"
Knuckles smirked and said "Not a problem. As long as you don't go TOO overboard with the info, ok?"
Applejack looked confused as the blue robot stared at her and said "Whoa. I've never seen you before. Who are you?"
Applejack then smiled at the bot and said "The Name's Applejack. Nice to meet you, ummm..."
The blue bot span around a bot and said "I'm Omochao! Your friendly neighborhood robotic helper for team sonic. I can also scan enemies to calculate and predict their moves."
Knuckles then rubbed his head, remembering times when he would go overboard on the advice he would give.
Applejack then had a idea and asked Omochao, "Look, we would really appreciate it if you can tell us what IS that thing that's trying to waste us now!'
Omochao nodded and said "Sure thing miss Applejack. I can give you the info you need."
Quickly, Omochao scaned Silver Sonic for any new upgrades and attack patterns. After a few seconds, he processed the info and said "Scan complete. This is Silver Sonic. One of Doctor Eggman's first attempts in copying Sonic powers and skills through robotics."
Applejack was left dumbfounded. Thinking that somepony's skills can just copied when somepony else made and refined them through hard work made her upset.
She then said "You can't just copy something and say that YOU did it! Sonic must've worked hard to perfect his skills over a long time, and this tin can thinks he's better then the original?!"
Knuckles was taken aback by this. He wasn't expecting for Applejack to be this angry about Sliver Sonic's coping Sonic's techniques. He then thought that she wasn't a fan of others taking shortcuts instead of doing hard work to get what you want. Which he can respect.
Omochao then saw Silver Sonic take a defensive stand and replied "Umm guys? I think we need focus on the fight at hand."
Boss: Silver Sonic
Silver Sonic then pulled his arm in for a punch and launched itself at the two heroes. They both turned around and tried to attack together. Unfortunately, Silver Sonic managed to get into a defensive stance in time and blocked their attacks, Taking no damage.
Applejack sat down and rubbed her back hoofs as she said "What in tarnation is that thing made of?! Ugh, my hoofs."
Knuckles rubbed his fists to smooth the pain as he asked "Why DID you try and double kick that thing? It's made of solid steel, I'm normally the one who can punch through stuff like that."
Applejack then explained "Earth ponys are the strongest kind of pony out there. We're not just known for farming. Heck, one of my friends, who's a earth pony like me, grew up on a rock farm. So, their family can burrow through solid rock with nothing but their hoofs."
Knuckles gave off a smirk of amusement. 'Guess there's more to these ponys then met the eye.' he thought, as he stared back at Silver Sonic. "Gah, what are we supposed to do now?"
Omochao flew next to them and said "I have a few ideas on how to beat him. Would you like some hints on how to beat Silver Sonic?"
Applejack nodded as she said "That would be mighty nice of you partner. What's the idea?"
Omochao span a bit and said "That gurad that Silver Sonic has is too strong for a frontal offensive. And his spines are too sharp to attack from behind. Try to get it in the air to drop it's defenses."
Applejack then thought about it and came up with a plan. "Knuckles, think you can distract it for a few seconds?"
Knuckles nodded and ran up to stall for time while Applejack tried to get behind Sliver Sonic. Knuckles agility made it difficult for Sliver Sonic to punch knuckles, making it more and more irritated. So much so, that it completely ignored it's guard as Applejack saw a opportunity to strike.
She managed to pull out her lasso and snag Silver Sonic by the waist, and using her earth pony strength, swang Silver Sonic around and flung it in the air.
Knuckles jumped at the chance and run up the near by wall, gathering energy around himself, and striking Silver Sonic to a wall, pinning him up as knuckles rapid punched Sliver Sonic while it was valuable. He then changed up one last punch as he punched it and made a shock wave fly over the wall, as Knuckles jumped out and landed near Applejack. She then asked "What WAS that?! How did you glow red like that?!"
Knuckles grinned and said, "That was my maximum heat attack. It makes your stronger and faster while making your punches on fire." Applejack was intrigued about this move. Maybe she can ask him on learning this move in the future?
However, Despite the assault it felt, Silver Sonic was not done as it switched strategies. Using it's skates and jet engine in it's chest, it moved at a incredible speed. Applejack was unfortunately chased after while knuckles began to chase them around the room.
Omochao flew next to knuckles and said "Silver Sonic is moving to fast to be launched into the air now. Try to punch the ground to send Shockwaves at it to stun it. Then Applejack can take it from there."
Knuckles nodded as he waited for Silver Sonic to get closer. As soon as it was close, he punched to ground and sended a Shockwave at Silver Sonic, Stunning it in the process.
Applejack saw the opportunity and ran faster to get behind Sliver Sonic and bucked it to a near by wall. She then made her own flurry of punches at the bot and finished her attack off with a powerful bucking attack, before jumping back a bit to join knuckles.
Silver Sonic was in bad shape, but wasn't about to give up. He then turned into a ball like Sonic, and spin dashed at them, causing them to jump out of the way.
Omochao flew next to them and said "Sliver Sonic is on it's last legs! But it's spin dashing will make it difficult to trick it in the air or stun it with Shockwaves."
They then noticed some crates of explosives at the end of the room as Omochao said "Those crates of explosives should be enough to knock Silver Sonic out of his spin ball, and to stun it too! Time to end this with a bang!"
Knuckles and Applejack nodded as the continued to run to the explosives. Silver Sonic was too tunnel visioned to notice the explosives in front of it as the two heroes split apart at the last minute. Silver Sonic saw this too late as it ran into the crates and exploded with the explosives.
It flew up in the air in a daze as knuckles was in the air, slamming it down to Applejack, who bucked Sliver Sonic into a wall. The both of them then landed one last combo strike together, destroying the super badnik. Sliver Sonic was finally done.
The two heroes then fist/hoof bumped themselves for a darn good job as Knuckles said "You know, you were impressive in that fight there. Using that lasso to launch Sliver Sonic like that was smart."
Applejack blushed at the comment and said "Your amazing yourself. Using those shockwaves to stun that contraption like that. Guess your smarter then you look. No offense."
Knuckles, surprisingly, began to chuckle at the remark and said "Nah, it's nothing at this ponit...So, listen. About earlier..."
Applejack knew what he was referring to and said "Oh, well...remember how you said you don't have family anymore?" Knuckles nodded as Applejack said "Well, I may have just met you and your friends. But I could tell that you treat each other like family. Sometimes, the friendships you make in life are strong enough to make you family."
Knuckles never thought of that before. After the countless adventures they had together, he never thought he would have a family to call his own again. It felt kinda...surreal.
Applejack then raised her hoof out and said "And I normally don't to this to EVERYONE I meet, but after the adventure we just had, I consider you a honorary member of the Apple family. You and your friends too of course."
Knuckles felt humbled at the offer. He didn't imagine someone offering to let him be apart of their family before. Usually, he thought it had to be through marriage that one would be allowed to be family. He shook those thoughts out of his mind and said "Thank you Applejack. I accept you offer." He said as he shook her hoof.
The portal opened up again and they ran through it, as they returned to ponyville with their newfound friendship.

The Death Egg's enforcer, Silver Sonic
The original super badnik returns, faster and stronger then ever! With it's sharp, blade like spines and strong bulk, it's stands as a formidable opponent. Show them the fists of honestly and turn him to scrap!
Maxauim heat attack
Oooh, ouch! The heat of this attack burns! A attack that only elite Echidna warrior can master. It makes the user faster and turns their punches into fire punches. This attack really helps knuckles turn up the heat on battle!
Sorry for the delay on this chapter, with multiple story to oversee and life going on, it's been difficult to make, but it turned out great honestly. Hope you guys like it as well, and I'll see you all in the next chapter!
