Chapters The Guardian Angel of Ponyville
Ponyville, it was still peaceful. For years have I kept watch over Ponyville, keeping her citizen's safe. Celestia knows who I am, Luna does, yet the citizens don't. I remember, all those years ago, when i was just your average Earth Pony stallion. I had volunteered to be a sheriff in Ponyville, back when it was still starting. I remember it now.......
Ponyville, circa 425. A group of brigands had just broken out of jail. I went in to stop them. I managed to buck one in the face, and knocked out the others. My suit had gotten dirty, but that was no problem, I could always get it cleaned later.
That is when It all began. I had taken a nightly stroll in the Everfree forest, back then It as much smaller. I had just passed by a large oak tree, when they came out of the bushes. Timber Wolves, about 50 of them. I could pick out the leader, he as taller, and had more scars to him. I was able to knock back most of them, but, it was no use. Their claws and teeth ripped at my skin and suit. Before long, they had left, and I lay there, battered, bruised, and bloody. My face had lost almost all of it's color. That is when a voice whispered to me. "Silver, I can save your life, if only you guard this city for all of time." I recognized the voice, Princess Celestia! Y-yes, please, an-anything." I sputtered out, weakly. "Very well, but the ponies must not know your face." Celestia said. Whithin seconds, a golden aura surronded me, as I lost consicousness. I awoke, an unknown amount of time later. I looked around, and saw Ponyville. I looked at my reflection in a nearby puddle of water. Where my face should have been, there was only a white head, my silver mane gone. My suit had been repaired, and i had tendrils growing out of my back. "Well, this should give me a hoof!" I laughed at my own joke, both wondering how i could speak or laugh if I had no mouth, and why i had made such a stupid joke. Though, i focused on my duty of overseeing Ponyville, as a silent, unkown, protector.
"FOCUS!" I mentaly yelled at myself, i must always have a constant vigilance. Looking around, everythign was normal. Doctor Whooves, the Gallopfreyan Time Pony Lord, was walking with his wives, yes wives, as Celestia decreed that, since the Doctor was not of Equestria, did not have to abide to marriage laws, Derpy and Ditzy, along with their children, Sparkler, adopted, and Dinky. Thankfully, they treated their kids alright, except a few attacks by interplanatery begings and the like, but that as just a typical morning for the Whooves.
I turned my head to find....her. Fluttershy, the calm and quite loving caretaker for Ponyville's animal population, and Element of Kindness.. I know it may sound weird, by I had grown fond of her. She and I were allot alike, we were both calm, level-headed, kind, a tad bit shy, and loved animals. I had followed her movements, as she had no defence, when she rounded a corner. All was quite, until I hear a scream coming from where Fluttershy had gone, and sped off in that direction.............

I knew it would be breaking my oath, but I had to save her, a beacon of pure, perfect innocence. Not long after, I had spotted her. She had been cornered by three Earth Ponies, 2 male, 1 female. Moving quickly, a tendril sprang from my back, whipping the stallion closest me into a pile of wooden boxes, knocking him out cold. The mare turned towards me, flicking a switchblade, and advancing towards me. As her left hoof swung the knife at me, I doged the knife, grabbed her hoof with my own, and backhoofed he head, sending her tumbling into the dust.
The remaining stallion stared at me, terror in his eyes. I started walking toards him, but he bolted out of there. Breaking my oath of silence, I turned to Fluttershy, who was slowly getting up off the ground, her basket of fruit and vegetables in one hoof, her other rubbing her temples. "Are you alright, Mrs. Shy?" I asked, having had my first conversation with another living soul in, what, 500 or so years. "Ye-yes sir." Fluttershy said, her voice barely above a whisper, but I could hear her clear as day. "Your that nice pony who watches over Ponyville right? I've seen you on that cliff, you must be so lonely, up there." She knew, the thought raced through my mind. "Yes, I guess it is pretty lonely up there." I said, not knowing why I kept continuing to break my oath of silence. Yet, Fluttershy, one of the kindest, sweestest ponies I have ever known, her mere presence calmed me. "Well, you could stay with me, or one of my other friends. I was just going to go to a picnic with them." She said, gesturing at me to come with her with but a hoof. I folowed her.
About ten minutes, we had arrived at the picnic site. The other 5 Elements, alongside Spike, all sat on your average red and white checkered blanket. The nearby stream babbled as we got closer. "Hi girls, and Spike, this is my friend, Mr-oh, im sorry, I never asked you your name." Fluttershy said, turning towards me. My old name had been in disuse for centuries, I just stopped using it, though I still knew it. "Slendermane, my name is Slendermane" I said, adjusting my tie.
The remaining Elements greeted me with a warm smile, which surprised even me. I guess, isolation can do that to a stallion. "Oh, your new, great! No I can throw you a "Welcome to Ponyville Slendy Party" yay!" Pinkie Pie said, hopping up and down, while simultaneously eating a dandelion and daisy sandwhich.
As I sat down and chatted with the mares and young drake, how had beated the odds, a very strange thing occured just then.
I smiled, inwardly.
In hundreds of year, a smile had never come, not because my face was blank, but, there was nothing to smile about. It was just that Spike's stomach gurgled, at he spat out a letter from green fire.

Enter, The Trender and Splendor
"Hey Slendy! Slendy!" An all to familiar voice called out. Sighing, I rubbed my non-existent temples, and we all turned to see.....them. My two, younger brothers. You see, Celestia, knowing that I couldn't monitor ALL of Equestria, gave my brothers the same jobs, with slight differences to our appearances.
Trender Star, became Trendermane. He a navy turtleneck, and a red and green scarf. Though, he still had his mane, an oak brown, curled. His whole body was alabaster white, like mine was, and, instead of tendrils, he had telekinesis. Standing next to him, wearing a VERY creepy smile, was Splendormane. He had a rainbow colored clown wig, a painted on face, minus the eyes and mouth, those were real. His eyes, had a cobalt blue outline painted around them. Two, fairly large black dots were painted on his cheeks, and he had a red clown nose. His lips were painted with rouge. That smile, urgh, could make Molestia wet herself, then run from the room screaming.
I introduced the mares and drake to my brothers. Rarity seemed receptive, a little TOO receptive with Trender, as they spoke about various, please excuse the upcoming wordplay, trends in fashion. Though, everypony, minus Pinkie Pie, stayed as far away from Splendor, seriously, did he have to go and smile like that?
Just then, Twilight perked up,and said "Does anypony smell that?" We all sniffed around, and we found the source...........
A large fire was blazing in Canterlot, a plume of black smoke rising into the air...................
