She thought back to when she was told this news
“ I am sorry miss hooves but we have seen the connection you have with our daughter and we are worried that she will get too attached to you and we cant have that we need her to think about her future with lapis we are not going to risk our future with the conduit empire. which is where lapis hails from it was great luck he fell in love with our golden because that empire is extremely prosperous we`ll give you a month to tell her you wont be here I hope you understand” king dash said
“Bu-but she needs me im the only pony who seems to actually understand her and I need her shes the only pony who has ever understood me-” helpful said sadly
“ No buts, my decision is final” the king said
Helpful entered goldens room after remembering that
“Hello princess” she said as she bowed
“I told you already don’t bow to me your my friend” golden said naively
“Not for long okay your dad told me im not to work here anymore” helpful said lightly crying

After a while of golden crying…
“Your pranking me tell me you are please” golden cried
“ I wish I was dear” helpful said
A month (and 1 day) later
The replacement servant went to goldens rooms to wake her up just not as caring as well caring hooves
“Princess where are you its time to wake up this isn’t funny your parents will be worried about you” she said after seeing golden wasn’t in her bed, but when the maid left to tell her parents about it she realised there was a open window and she left her hone on her bedside table as if not to be able to be found…
Meanwhile golden was walking around the moor poor areas of the city under a cloak so she wouldn’t be recognised “mother, father you took away the one good thing you have ever given me and then just to strip it away well guess what ive done the same to you now. Im running away so you cant send me away to be a bride to a pony I don’t even love im sure he’s okay but then you take away my one friend that was the last straw im going o go as far as I can I brought some money enough to get food for a month but the rest ill have to work for I don’t know how but all I do know is im going to a poor town so the things wont cost as much and also im never coming not until you bring me back my friend” golden said in her head while buying a mask to make absolute sure she wouldn’t be recognised
Meanwhile with the king and queen
“WHAT SHE RAN AWAY HOW COULD SHE RUNAWAY FROM US LIKE THAT DOESN’T SH KNOW WE DEPEND ON HER AND WHATS SHE GOING TO DO A FOOLISH YOUNG GIRL LIKE HER CANT SURVIVE ON HER OWN OUT THERE! COLLECT ANYPONY YOU CAN TO HELP FIND HER RIGHT THIS INSTANT!” the king shouted “yes sir right away” the head commander affirmed before leaving to complete his orders “maybe we went too rough on the girl she is only a kid after all” the queen tried reasoning with the king “NO THE GIRL RAN AWAY YES WE TOOK AWAY HER SERVANT AWAY FROM HER BUT IT COULDN’T HAVE BEEN THAT BAD AFER ALL SHE WAS ONLY A SERVANT” the king said slamming the table
“Uh damn it meant it not like i like like you damn it i shouldnt have said it like that i meant ive warmed upto you as a friend” golden explained “its okay golden i get it not everypony phrases things right all the time i know first hoove” lapis said still regretting everything “well lapis anyway before we get too off topic i have something we can do to redeem yourself to me...help me escape you can stay here i just want out of here adn i have a plan” golden said determined to escape “i-uh of course ill help” lapis said “thanks” golden replied
The two kids waited until really late in the night both were tired but could do it
“Ok lapis use your magic to distract the guards to go to that room over there” golden said pointing at the ballroom
Lapis mustered up just enough magic to shoot a beam “is that good” lapis asked as golden nodded, picked him up and flew to the the door managing to unlock it just in time
“Ok now i need to make a gust of wind strong enough to knock open the gates open” golden said readying her wings and flapped the hardest she ever has knocking the gate open just enough so they can push it
“Thanks lapis ill see you another day” golden said as she ran off she was able to take a blanket and pillowfrom lapis’s house after asking lapis and him agreeing but little did she knew there was a foal shape following her
In the morning
Golden opened her eyes and saw a blue pony next to her
“LAPIS WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME YOU WERE COMING?!?” golden shouted thankfully enough they were away from villages “well I didn’t know I was coming and I wanted to make sure you were safe” lapis said
Golden looked sternly at the boy who didn’t have one thought behind his eyes from what she could see causing lapis to laugh “why are you looking at me like that” lapis said holding back as much laughter as he could “BECAUSE YOU COULDVE BEEN HURT OKAY!” golden shouted

Golden was a pony like any other pony… well except the fact she was part of a royal family first in line in fact but she never wanted to be in line at all but this is where our story begins…
It was a normal sunny day in shinopilis named after the fact that that the castle always shined in the middle of the of the empire yes don’t worry it wasn’t too shiny or nopony would live there. Golden was looking in the mirror brushing her blonde and blue mane.
“So this is the day huh this is the day I meet the colt im going to be arranged to when we get to legal age huh I wish I had a choice in this” golden said to herself
It was then when the maid golden had the most connection with came in to her room.
“Hello mz golden do you need any help with your dress later” the maid asked
“…I don’t need it but I would like it especially since the colt im being married of to I don’t even know and im expected to have his kids when we`re older and im gonna have to move from my home to a long way away and im stressed about it” golden said
“I know if I could change it would but its not up to me unfortunately but hey at least it isn’t for another 8 years” the maid said
“I know but that’s 8 years of dates and having to be pretty for a guy I don’t even think ill like, having to prepare to marry him, have his kids and last but not least preparing having to goodbye to shinopilis my siblings and-and you” golden replied tearing up
“Its okay its okay im going t spend every second I can with you for the next 8 years after tonight because your parents know that if I come youll just stay with me instead of meeting that prince im sorry I cant though” she said as golden put her muzzle onto her chest fur to calm he self down
That night
Golden walked into the ballroom in her purple and magenta dress the floor feeling weird with the silver shoes she has on her whole world darkening and crumbling more and more as she gets closer to the boy whos name is lapis crown
“Hello golden is it?” lapis said excitedly
“Yeah and im guessing you’re the one whos parents struck a deal with mine to get me to marry you” golden said frustrated
“Uhm yes but I need to tell you something and I really hope you don’t get mad” lapis said both slightly scared and confused
“What is it” golden said as bluntly as she possibly could without losing her calm demeanour (at least on the outside and with her voice)
“I’m kinda sorta the pony who convinced my parents I have a uhm crush on you and I have ever since I first saw you when you and you parents came to my castle so they could make a peace treaty in case I didn’t like you but now we will have a peace treaty permanently because of our marriage when we get married” lapis revealed
“I see at least you don’t seem like a jerk so far” golden said keeping her demeanour.
30 minutes of silence went past.
“Would you care for this dance?” lapis said innocently
“…silently growls fine” golden says as lapis takes goldens hooves.
They started to dance.
The night went past and golden was given his phone number (not by choice of course) and literally less than 5 minutes after he left golden finally relaxed in her bed and she heard a r ing come from her phone and sure enough it was Lapis.
Golden answered
“Hello why are you calling me already?” Golden asked.
“Oh, I was just hoping we could talk while I’m on my way home.” Lapis said nervously.
“Okay, fine so what do you like to do in your free time?” golden asks
“Oh uhm it’s a little embarrassing but I like to play tabletop roleplaying games like ogres and oubliettes and warhammer”
“I like OnO too maybe we could play one day I know at one point we’re going to have to go out soon so it would be nice to get to know the pony Im arranged to at the very least” golden said
“Really you do?” lapis said excitedly
“Chuckle yeah I also play video games but I mainly play games like minecraft and animal crossing” golden said
“Jeez that’s boring” golden said jokingly
“Not really I’m used to it at this point” lapis replied
“Okay. Well I’m getting bored ill see you when I’m forced to see you” golden said
“Oh… ok, I guess. Goodbye” lapis said sadly.
“Your not gonna make me feel bad. Goodbye” golden replied and she hung up.

Golden continued running for days not bothering to look for helpful because there was no guarantee she had a house or even lived in goldens city but then much to her disappointment she found herself tumbling onto lapis’s courtyard while he was out so he thought she came to see him when really she just wanted to get away from everything happening keep in mind lapis’s family still didn’t know golden was on the run
“GOLDEN! IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU ITS BEEN SO LONG!” lapis said excitedly “we literally talked a week ago over the phone” golden said annoyed at the situation she accidentally pt herself into “oh right but in person we haven’t seen each other since the dance” lapis said still trying to make golden more comfortable around him “lapis again your sweet and all but I didn’t come he-” golden went to say here for you but almost like lapis couldn’t tell she wasn’t happy at the moment he interrupted her “come on we can go into the castle for a while seeming youll be living here one day” lapis said practically dragging golden to his room “lapis ill stay here for a bit but ill be leaving and you might not see me again” golden said “what why are you going somewhere or worse dying?” lapis said with a disheartened look on his face “ No no nothing like that don’t worry but I will be going somewhere on my own assuming I can get there without being caught im going to equestria” golden said “equestria? Isn’t that very far away and what do you mean on your own and not being caught?” the blue foal questioned “well I don’t think you were told yet but I ran away a few days ago because they took away the one pony who cared for me who I wasn’t being forced to marry so whatever you do don’t tell your parents im here or they’ll tell my parents or even make me stay here before I was supposed to be with you” golden replied looking at the confused foal in the eyes. But lapis was facing his own moral dilemma does he tell his parents after all does taking away the servant (which he knew from texts) would actually justify running away especially for this long and far but on the other hoove he could see goldens point even if he didn’t agree with it and eventually he made up his choice so he he told golden he was going to te restroom but he then told his parents who immediately told goldens who took this to their advantage thinking of ways to get golden to stay at theirs permanently with the law being on their side and after a while of thinking they got the idea
First they would tell the guards to only let golden out I the garden when a pony was with her and out the gates when they were all together then they would tell the news who would frame goldens parents as neglectful to their daughters emotions and actions like running here for quote on quote staying with her future husband they did say arranged marriages should be used unless you were gaining something you absolutely needed or the kids feeling are mutual so it’s a way of guaranteeing their happiness (which is something they lied about with goldens case) and finally step 3 getting golden closer with lapis
They got the first 2 phases out successfully but now it was left to the kids
“I cant believe you lapis I thought I should be able to trust you and here I was actually starting to have feelings for you” golden screamed at lapis
“I-i-im sorry I didn’t think about it okay? Lapis said scared out of his mind just trying toget goldens pity “you know what lapis shut up now theres nopony who can stop the wedding when I have to become your-your ugh I cant even say it” glden said fumbling on her words “ queen? Im genuinely sorry but I know theres no way youll forgive me not right now at least” lapis said trying to comfort a crying yet still and golden but putting his hooves on her necks in a way o hug her “just get off me you jerk” golden said pushing lapis away “right you might not be ready but uhm your mane smells and feels nice actually so does your fur now that I think about it” lapis joked trying to lighten up the mood “hehe thanks I guess” golden thanked “I guess your not so bad all the time your just stupid huh” golden followed “yeah I guess I am” lapis said as they giggled together. As they were messing about golden and lapis fell onto each other with lapis on the top and both were blushing while lapis continued looking at golden as he genuinely thought she was cute but golden was looking away embarrassed while all her thoughts were messed up but most of them being about lapis “…lapis I think I like you” golden said surprised at herself

hey this is my favourite so far but tell me what you think because i do think golden x lapis will be final but if you dont like it tell me who else i should give her a relatin ship with at the time of the story shes the same age as the crusaders while the crusaders are also kids so thats the age so if you have a oc you want it to be tell me their personality and i will consider it and tell me their appearance and goldens bi so you dont need to think about her prefrences
