Dark,

Damp,

Those are the first two things I notice about my surroundings.

I try feeling around to figure out where I am right now, although I cant help but notice how cramped it is in here and also for some reason I feel like my fingers are a bit weaker which is somewhat worrying.

'Did i not give my hands enough of a break,'I think to myself
'I hope I did, I'm not sure if I finished that document for the boss yet.' As, im busy lamenting the rest of my day i hear a crack around me and I can see a little light shine through.

'Okay, I think I can deduce wherever I am is definitely not normal, well I'm pretty
sure I'm dreaming and since I'm lucid this time I'm gonna enjoy it'. I state, thankful to have a nice break from reality in a dream I can control.

After a couple of minutes, I think, I finally break through the thing that was containing me I look around taking in my surroundings. All around me I see white colored creatures with black spots and fangs with small spike looking things on their foreheads.

'Oh, wait a minute i recognize these guys what were they.... Changelings! That's right from that show that I somehow managed to finished before my boss gave us that project to work on what was it called again MLC? No,no it wasn't that MLP? That's the one, well it seems like this dream is going to be interesting to experience since it seems like they have more human like bodies instead of pony shaped bodies, kinda weird if I'm being honest.'

As im busy thinking of ways to go about this dream one of the eggs starts hatching behind me as it starts shaking back and forth until they accidentally hit my egg and I tumble over with them landing face first onto the ground.

'Oww, wow 8 minutes in my dream and already I have to eat sh-' My eyes widen as I start to register what just happened.

Wait, did I just experience pain? I chuckle a little scared a my realization. 'Nononono, tha-,tha- thats impossible, this is only a DREAM and the only way to feel pain is if its real but this isn't real, right?'

I realize that I'm starting to hyperventilate as I try to control my breathing and calm down. 'Ok, ok, calm down Joseph, there is an easy way to solve this, all you need to do is hit yourself, that's it, and then you can relax knowing this isn't real.'

Reassuring myself I lift up my arm as I prepare to hit myself. 'Ok here, we, GO!.' I hit myself as hard as I can making my face flair up in pain the next second. "Agh!", I hiss out rubbing my cheek.

'So thats it.' I think to myself in a daze. 'I'm really a Changeling now, somehow, in a different universe, and I'm never going to see my home ever again.' Not handling the situation well I react the same way any grown adult would.

As more changelings start hatching from their eggs somewhere in a lonesome area on there own you could someone hissing to the great beyond distraught about their current situation.

'Ok,ok,calm down, actually never mind, HOW THE FUCK AM I HERE? Ignoring the fact I'm a Changeling, In what situation could I be in a different body?' Ok, think you've seen this cliche a million times what are the possibilities either I was transported or I, died, and I don't remember falling into anything, so.. that.... would.... mean..

oh.'

'I guess that explains why I felt my body begin to shut down before I even came to work today, never thought It would end up with ME dead though.'

'What am I even supposed to do now that I'm stuck here as a love sucking Changeling? Try to overthrow Chrysalis?
Psh, yeah right she would turn me into glow in the dark paste.' I think to myself sarcastically

As I'm busy figuring out how to solve my existential crisis I see a lone changeling hiding alone away from the others in a pile of broken eggs shivering in what I can only assume to be fear.

'If I remember correctly from Thorax's backstory that's him right? Its gotta be, only he would try to hide instead of fight.'

To be honest I liked Thorax as a character he was just a lonesome changeling who wanted friends who would love him for who he was, but as I sit here watching him shiver In fear at anything and everything he sees its clear that he isn't just a character on a show anymore instead he's just a baby terrified in a new environment.

'Heh, well as cool as that Is what am I supposed to do now? I don't want to stay here In this God forsaken Hive especially not with, Chrysalis. If she's like anything like she was In the show then I need to find someway to get away from her on my own terms.'

I look back to (hopefully) Thorax still hiding In fear, In his egg. 'Well, i guess this can kill two birds with one stone, be his friend and have someone I can trust, hopefully.'

Making my decision, I slowly but surely start to make my way over to him, slowed down because of my limited motor functions.

Barely I managed to get over to him without falling over. 'Ugh, I need a minute before I do that again.' As I was getting my bearings again Thorax started shivering more and was looking at me wide-eyed.

'Probaly thinks I'm gonna try and hurt him.' I attempted to stand up and approach him as to let him know I wouldn't hurt him but my barely born legs gave out on me as I fell back down.

So instead I just did the next best thing as I rolled closer to him and just laid next to him. 'Hopefully he sees this for what I'm attempting here.'

I notice out of the corner of my eye that he has stopped shaking and slowly but surely has started to lay himself next to me keeping a fair distance away from me.

Sighing, I lift my arm to the other side of him and pull him closer to me, he freezes, obviously terrified as he sits there waiting for me to do something.

Though, nothing happens and as he starts to realize that he slowly starts allowing himself to relax as he starts leaning against me and begins to fall asleep finally letting his guard down around me.

As he fell asleep next to me I decided that while I'm here I would do my best to aid him as much as I could knowing he wouldn't get much elsewhere.

'I will do my utmost best to be your friend and help you when you need me, I promise.'

Author's Note

This is my first attempt at writing anything so be as brutal as you can be, i do want to try and get better and if its liked enough continue this story so yeah if you don't like it then proceed to thrash it into oblivion later.

(I didnt make that many big changes but I fixed a few errors and changed some of the dialouge as to try and make It not seem so jarring on. So yeah If anyone Is reading this tell me If Its better now or worse please. Ty)
