I woke up to a flurry of noise—ponies crowding around me, cameras flashing, notebooks scribbling. Their voices bombarded me.
“Where are you from?”
“Did you kill Celestia?”
“Why do you keep changing species?”
I blinked, trying to process their questions as my body shifted again. One moment, I was a pony. Then a pegasus. A zebra. And now, a dragon. The bed beneath me groaned in protest before collapsing entirely under my massive weight.
“LEAVE. NOW!” I roared, my dragon voice reverberating through the room. Before the last echo faded, my body twisted and shifted again. This time, I became a changeling, sleek and menacing.
The ponies screamed and bolted for the door, scattering like leaves in a storm. In seconds, the room was empty except for me and the wreckage of what used to be my bed.
“WHO LET THOSE PONIES IN HERE?!” I shouted, glaring at the doorway.
“I did,” came a hesitant voice.
I turned sharply to see Ella standing there, her ears pinned back.
“Ella, you bicth !” I snapped, still trembling with fury.
“I didn’t think they’d act like that!” ella stammered.
I thought they take some pictures of you ella said.
Luna appeared behind her, calm and composed as ever. “I brought them in,” ella admitted.
Them? I still confused and frustrated.
Rhyla, Reddan, Neon Black, and Lava Rock stood awkwardly in the corner, avoiding eye contact. Moe, my ever-loyal dog, barked furiously at the unfamiliar creatures, his little body trembling with energy.
“It’s okay, Moe,” I murmured, crouching to calm him. But before I could reach him, my body betrayed me again.
This time, I became human.
My boring brown hair fell into my eyes, and I glanced down at myself. Relief washed over me as I realized I was still clothed: my favorite tie-dye hoodie in greens, yellows, and blues, my monkey pajama pants, fox slippers, and my trusty owl hat.
"Don't look at me!" I cried, scrambling under the wrecked bed to hide.
The room fell silent except for Moe’s occasional whimper. Then, Ella crouched down beside the bed, her hoof extended toward me.
“Please come out,” she said softly, her voice steady and kind.
I hesitated, staring at her hoof for a long moment before finally reaching out and gripping it. She helped me crawl out, my face burning with embarrassment.
“Is Celestia alive?” I blurted, desperate to change the subject.
Ella and Luna exchanged a look, their silence heavy with unspoken meaning. My stomach dropped. I wasn’t sure I wanted to know the answer.
I froze. There she was—Celestia.
She looked different.
"I'm sorry I didn't trust you," Celestia said.
"Your leg," I whispered, staring at the robotic limb.
"Luna told me everything," Celestia continued softly.
"When you're ready, when you're healthy, you can be with them—the Element Bearers," she added.
"I would prefer Rhyla, Reddan, Neon Black, Lava Rock, Ella, and Moe," I said, my voice cracking.
"We make you happy," Rhyla said, her words gentle.
I nodded, unable to hold back the tears. "Yes," I managed, my emotions overwhelming me.
