"Miss Star!" Apple Bloom exclaimed, shaking me gently.

"Is she okay?" Scootaloo asked with concern.

"I'm okay," I replied, trying to sit up.

"Why were you near our treehouse?" Sweetie Belle demanded, eyeing me suspiciously.

"I... I don't know," I admitted, feeling unsure of myself.

"Who are y'all talkin' to?" came a familiar voice.

"Applejack!" Apple Bloom gasped. "What are you doin' here?"

"Oh, Miss Star... Applejack, what’s goin’ on?" I stammered, still disoriented. "Maybe I was sleepwalking..."

"Anyway," Applejack said, cutting off my ramble, "there's someone I want y’all to meet."

She stepped aside, revealing a figure behind her.

Apple Bloom’s eyes widened. "Mom...?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

Pear Butter smiled warmly. "It’s me, sweetheart."

Apple Bloom froze for a moment, then ran to her mother, wrapping her arms around her in a tight embrace. "Mom!" she cried.

"Wait a minute," Sweetie Belle said, stunned. "Are you sure...?"

Applejack nodded, her eyes glistening with tears.

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo exchanged glances, understanding the moment. "C'mon," Scootaloo said softly, tugging Sweetie Belle’s arm. "Let’s give them some time."

As the two friends left, I turned to Applejack. "May I... work for you temporarily?" I asked hesitantly.

"'Course," Applejack replied with a kind smile.

Pear Butter placed a hoof on Apple Bloom’s shoulder, her gentle touch filled with warmth and love. "Let’s go see Big Mac," she said, her voice soft but brimming with joy.

Apple Bloom nodded eagerly, clinging to her mother’s hoof as if she were afraid to let go. Tears still glistened in her eyes, but her smile was brighter than I’d ever seen it.

Applejack turned to me. "You comin', Miss Star?" she asked, her tone inviting.

I hesitated, unsure if I belonged in this family moment. But Applejack gave me a reassuring nod. "You’re part of this now," she added warmly.

"Alright," I said quietly, falling in step behind them as we made our way to the farmhouse.

The sun was beginning to set, casting the orchard in hues of gold and orange. The scent of ripe apples filled the air, and the gentle rustle of the trees added to the serene atmosphere.

As we approached the farmhouse, the front door creaked open. Big Macintosh stepped onto the porch, his calm expression shifting to one of shock as he froze in place.

"Big Mac," Pear Butter said softly, her voice trembling just a little.

Big Mac’s mouth opened, but no words came out. His large frame seemed to tremble as he took a hesitant step forward. "Ma…?" he finally managed, his deep voice cracking.

"It’s me," Pear Butter said, her eyes shimmering with tears.

Big Mac didn’t need any more confirmation. He bounded down the steps, nearly stumbling in his haste, and pulled his mother into a crushing embrace. "I… I thought I’d never…" he started, but the words were swallowed in a choked sob.

Pear Butter held him tightly, her hoof gently rubbing his back. "I’m here now, sugar. I’m here," she whispered.

Apple Bloom sniffled, wiping her eyes again as she leaned into Applejack’s side.

I watched the scene unfold, my heart swelling at the pure love and reunion before me. It was almost too much to take in.

After a long moment, Big Mac pulled back, his eyes still damp but his smile wide. "This… this is real," he murmured, his voice filled with awe.

"It sure is," Applejack said, her own voice thick with emotion.

"What’s goin’ on out here?" came a familiar voice, cracking with age but steady with curiosity.

Everyone turned to see Granny Smith standing in the doorway, a knit shawl draped over her shoulders and a look of concern on her face. She squinted at the group, her sharp green eyes studying Pear Butter closely.

Pear Butter stepped forward, her eyes soft and kind. "Granny," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "It’s me. I’m home."

Granny Smith’s eyes widened, and for a moment, she stood frozen, her hand gripping the edge of the doorframe. "It… it can’t be," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"It’s her, Granny," Applejack said gently, stepping closer to support her grandmother. "It’s really Ma."

Granny Smith blinked, her lips quivering. She took a shaky step forward, then another, until she was face-to-face with Pear Butter. Slowly, she reached out a trembling hand and touched Pear Butter’s cheek, as if to make sure she was real.

"Buttercup," Granny Smith whispered, using Pear Butter’s old nickname. Tears welled up in her eyes. "It is you."

Pear Butter smiled, her own eyes brimming with tears. "It’s me, Granny. I’m here."

Granny Smith let out a shaky laugh, then pulled Pear Butter into an embrace that was both strong and tender. "Oh, Buttercup, I thought I’d lost ya forever," she said, her voice breaking. "You’ve come back to us."

The two women held each other tightly, the years of pain and loss melting away in that moment.

Apple Bloom wiped her eyes again, smiling as she leaned against Big Mac, who was still trying to process the miracle before him.

Granny Smith finally pulled back, her sharp eyes glistening with tears but her smile as big as ever. "You got a lotta explainin’ to do, young lady," she said, wagging her hoof playfully at Pear Butter.

"I can’t explain how I’m here," Pear Butter said softly, her voice carrying a mix of wonder and uncertainty. She looked down at her hooves, then back up at the family gathered around her. "One moment, I was... somewhere else. And then... I just felt pulled back. Like somethin’ was callin’ me home."

Granny Smith placed a hoof on Pear Butter’s shoulder. "Sometimes, life’s got a funny way of bringin’ things full circle," she said, her voice tender but thoughtful. "Don’t matter how you got here, Buttercup. What matters is you’re here now."

Pear Butter nodded, her eyes glistening. "I’ve missed y’all so much. Every day I’ve been gone, I thought about this place, about my family." She turned to Apple Bloom, her voice trembling. "You’ve grown so much, sugarcube. I barely recognize you."
