The Pamper Queen (ABDL)
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterNext ChapterVinyl grunted as she yanked her suitcase free of the train doors. Her suitcase always managed to get stuck at the most inconvenient of times. It wasn't the train's fault but it did add an extra layer of annoyance to these trips. The little inconveniences always piled up.
Putting aside her brief annoyance Vinyl smiled as the towering vistas of Canterlot loomed overhead. She hadn't been called to Canterlot in several months now. The nobles despised her music calling it dying radio music. She respectfully disagreed but nobles were always stuck in the mud.
Unsurprisingly, most of her visits to Canterlot had been from Princess Luna. Much to Vinyl's surprise the lunar princess had become a tech and dance music enthusiast after returning from her banishment and had invited Vinyl to play at her parties for years.
The Lunar Princess sure knew how to party. She always got hammered stumbling around the dance floor making a complete fool of herself and her small group of friends or less pompous nobles. It felt good to be appreciated in Canterlot even if only by one person.
So imagine her surprise when Celestia of all people invited her to be the host and DJ of not just a noble event, but a nationwide announcement event of all things. Vinyl had been so certain the princess would ask for Octavia that she immediately gave the letter to Tavi unopened.
But it had been true, written in clear text. The sun goddess had requested her services specifically. Vinyl would never protest a new gig but she had been somewhat hesitant. The one time she had played for noble parties it hadn't gone well. But Octavia had reassured her everything would work out fine.
When working jobs like these Vinyl tended to pack light bringing only a controller, speakers, and a few spare cables. Sound equipment always found a way to weigh more than it looked and she didn't want to risk dropping it or arrogant nobles fiddling with her stuff and breaking it.
Besides, the princesses usually provided any equipment she needed at the venue. The sound of a train whistle and wheels grinding against the train track pulled the blue-haired DJ from her thoughts. She needed to get to the palace. Grabbing her suitcase handle the DJ made her way down the station platform.
A gentle bed of music floated through the air as Vinyl had her ticket scanned at the ticket booth and entered the city proper. Canterlot sure looked different compared to the last time she'd been there. Alphabet blocks, rattles, and baby bottles lined the streets.
The gold and marble walls of buildings had been painted over with giant red, blue, and yellow handprints. They appeared to be waterpainted onto the marble itself, a far cry from the usual highbrow artwork and paintings she was used to. Even some of the storefronts had changed.
Instead of displaying jewelry and the typically over-priced slop they now offered pacifiers, bonnets, bibs, and onesies. The store logos were crossed out and written over with sloppy black marker. The whole aesthetic was bizarre. If she had been in any city other than Canterlot the DJ would've questioned such decisions, But not in Canterlot.
While Vinyl enjoyed the city, particularly the nightlife, She wasn't a huge fan of Canterlot. It was often bogged down by pompous aristocrats who turned their noses up at anything not shimmering with gold or the princess's affection. Whatever this was had probably pacated some noble in the courts.
After a few weeks of placation, Princess Celestia would roll everything back to normal once the nobles grew bored of their little prank. Nobles were spoiled brats, so the idea that they would baby up the city wasn't as far-fetched to her as it might be to others.
After struggling up the absurdly long flight of stairs leading to the royal palace Vinyl arrived at the main gate of Canterlot Castle. She had the usual argument with the guards over the weight of her luggage before being allowed entry. Palace guards were an interesting bunch.
Vinyl figured they didn't have much to do and needed to make up reasons for why they were needed. Some examples included: being overly nosey about luggage, randomly pulling ponies aside for "threat inspections" and asking ridiculous questions regarding your reason for visiting.
The silly song and dance of it all were well practiced by now. Vinyl rolled her eyes as she wandered through the halls of Canterlot Castle. The letter had said to meet the princess in the royal hall at exactly 1:30 PM. No sooner, no later. The sharp mandate had been somewhat surprising.
The royal sisters rarely if ever had sharp deadlines. They tended to trust those they hired to be timely and punctual. Sure they may be prissy about it for the first few jobs but after three trust was all but cemented. Perhaps it was because of the nationwide announcement.
Regardless it was none of Vinyl's business. She was here to play music, not politics. A large carpet with a spiral design spread before, and a series of stained glass windows lined the edge of the room reflecting sunlight about the chamber and sending beams of sparkling particles dancing.
A large stage sat at the back of the hall with a large set of scaffolding and lighting rigs anchored around it. An amazon of cables ran from a table in the center of the stage to a series of large speakers and sub-woofers facing the audience. Chairs and other amenities were positioned near the stage.
Vinyl sighed relieved as she set her luggage down on the spiral carpet. Despite having wheels her suitcase was shockingly heavy. It felt even heavier after lugging it up the stairway leading to the palace. She checked her watch. 1:29 PM She was right on time.
The letter hadn't said what to do upon arrival, but Vinyl was confident she was supposed to wait for the princess. Normally she'd spend the wait time setting up her gear, but the stage was surprisingly well-wired for a place that typically served a single cello and several aristocrats.
So she waited, taking in the atmosphere of the large empty hall. It always amazed her whenever she visited Canterlot. The sheer beauty and architectural mastery of the interiors of Canterlot Castle and other royal departments. Normally she despised "royal" designs.
But the architects behind Canterlot Castle had struck the perfect balance between modern minimalism and elegant royalty. The chamber had a strange but comforting air of nostalgia and calm. Perhaps the DJ would take some inspiration for her next set in Manehattan.
The gentle ticking of her watch filled the halls as Vinyl Scratch stood in silence. 1:31 PM 1:34 PM 1:39 PM Seconds turned to minutes as the appointed time came and went with no princess in sight. Vinyl began tapping her foot impatiently. What was going on?
Vinyl was used to things moving fast. Show up, play, talk to some fans, go home. It was a quick in-and-out affair. Especially with higher-end events everyone had timetables to keep. She assumed the princesses were already on a tight schedule. How could they take this long to address what had to be a micro part of their day?
The workings of the royal palace and the royal sisters in general always confused her. Several more minutes passed and Vinyl's impatience grew. She knew it was ludicrous to expect royalty especially the leaders of a nation to be quick and efficient, but she was bleeding bits standing around being useless.
Finally, a flurry of activity at the end of the hall signaled someone was coming. The doors flew open revealing a light purple alicorn wearing a long red velvet dress with golden high heels and a small crown atop her head. She muttered something incoherent to a nearby guard quickly closing the doors with her magic.
Vinyl's impatience immediately morphed into confusion. This wasn't Princess Celestia or Luna, nor was it a noble or royal secretary. Who was this person? A thousand questions raced through the DJ's head as the alicorn approached a pleasant smile adorning her face.
"Well, it's good to see that you are timely little pony." The alicorn laughed gently waving a hand playfully at Vinyl.
"Who ar-?" Vinyl began only to be cut off.
"I know you likely have several questions my little pony, however, this event is of the essence. My name is Pamper Swirl and Princess Celestia and Luna have requested this event be thrown as quickly and efficiently as possible." Pamper Swirl nodded gesturing to Vinyl, "I have been told you are the best DJ in the land, is this correct?"
Vinyl's mouth flapped rapidly as her mind outran her mouth. She had so many questions. She thought there were only two alicorns in Equestria, Celestia, and Luna, but clearly, that was wrong. Only princesses had both wings and a horn and this pony had both.
Aside from Princess Cadance of the Crystal Empire, she wasn't aware of another princess in the land. Wouldn't that have warranted a nationwide announcement? Come to think of it, is that what the national announcement of this event was supposed to be?
And Pamper Swirl? What kind of name was that? It sounded like a nursery rhyme or kids show mascot. However, the question of the name and any bickering or snickering regarding it was quickly forgotten as the unknown princesses completed Vinyl's skills as a DJ.
Her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. It was quite a flattering statement, one she doubted to be true, however, she wouldn't deny the praise of a princess no matter how ill-founded she thought they were. Besides, her skills had improved drastically since her last stay in Canterlot.
"Yeah, that's right!" Vinyl replied puffing out her chest. "Any party any event, DJ-PON3's got you covered!"
Pamper Swirl smirked tilting her head slightly. "Excellent, now then. I trust you know what needs to be done here," She gestured toward the wire-covered stage, "Celestia and Luna have assured me everything is already set to your liking, do be sure to let me know if something breaks."
Vinyl nodded as Pamper spoke taking a few mental notes and eyeing the stage. She had to admit, the princess had gone all out for this. Octavia could expect this type of treatment but it was a bit rarer for electronic music. Most venues hadn't caught up to the tech yet.
"Yeah for sure, thanks your majesty," Vinyl smirked nodding.
Pamper Swirl giggled before sharpening her features, "The event is scheduled for 8:00 PM I trust that a pony of your stature can fine-tune everything before then?"
"Oh for sure!" Vinyl said enthusiastically bending down and unlocking her suitcase. "I'll get started right away!"
"Excellent! Oh actually before you get too carried away." Pamper Swirl said holding up her finger in a 'wait a second' motion, "I haven't been to many "nighttime" events, and I am most curious to see how it all works." The alicorn sighed feigning sadness. "Perhaps I could watch while you set up?"
"Huh?" Vinyl paused mid-action as her mind processed the request. She didn't particularly care if someone watched her setup. Plenty of people had over the years, what surprised her was who was asking her. Sure the princess had better things to do than watch a DJ fiddle with knobs for a few minutes.
"Oh, Yeah sure I don't mind." Vinyl shrugged. It wasn't her place to worry about the princess's schedule. She assumed Swirl knew where she needed to be and would make it work. She was getting paid a lot of bits for this, but not enough to care this much.
"Excellent~" Swirl clapped her hands together with a smile.
Vinyl spent the next few minutes jacking her controller into the many inputs and outputs of the stage. She checked all the speakers, ensured everything was fully plugged in, and checked all the cables connecting each device. Once everything was set she pulled up a list of songs on her phone and prepared for a brief run-through of the set.
"let's get this party started!" She shouted as she pressed a button and the first song started. The loud bassy thump of a kickdrum pulsed through the stage as the first song blarred through the speakers. It was quickly joined by synths and other percussion.
Pamper Swirl watched from one of the audience chairs humming along to the music. The song was quite good, but she still preferred simpler pieces. She watched the blue-haired DJ fiddle with some knobs and faded some tracks beginning the transition into the next part of the song.
It was almost time.
With a gentle smirk, the alicorn ignited her horn and encased each speaker in her magic placing an enchantment on them.
Vinyl bobbed her head up and down to the beat completely engrossed in the music. Pamper Swirl was confident she wouldn't realize what was happening to her until it was far too late.
Vinyl was on fire and she could feel it! The music was blaring and the princess seemed to be enjoying herself. Everything was going great! That was until track six. In the middle of her transition to track seven, the speakers started crackling drowning out the music in a barrage of horrible sounds.
Vinyl looked up from her DJ equipment in surprise bewildered by what was happening only for the crackling to stop and be replaced by a simple 4 note melody. Xylophones, Marimbas, cheap ukuleles, and acoustic melodies began pouring out of the speakers.
Rings of pink and purple particles swirled from the speakers and curled back towards the stage coating her face in a bright light pink glow. "What the? What's going on?!" Vinyl shouted over the music as a gentle fog coated her mind. The childish melodies wormed their way into the DJ's ear and she found herself humming them back to herself over and over again.
A wide smile exploded across her face as warm tingles danced up and down her spine. The white unicorn felt her body moving by itself as she danced to the childish tunes. Swirls formed in her eyes as each measure of music carried another thought away.
Her jaw was unclenched becoming limp and loose as drool rolled from her mouth. Her clothes felt yucky and uncomfortable as if they were made of the world's scratchiest material. Before Vinyl knew it, she had discarded them onto the floor.
The pink particles swirled around her naked form as a warm fluffy sensation wrapped itself around her waist and a gentle crinkling reached her ears. She felt herself growing limper and heavier. It felt like she was sitting on a warm fluffy cloud. She could feel her thoughts and motor abilities disappearing; becoming weaker as she slumped down against her controllers.
Her mind tumbled deep into a musical vortex of hypnotism and regression, "Bwaaaahhhhh!" Vinyl gurgled as her hands hopelessly groped at the switches the meaning and function of each one had abandoned her mind. Pamper Swirl grinned devilishly as she watched the proud DJ descend into fits of babbling drooly madness.
"That's a good girl~" Pamper Swirl cooed as the gentle lullabies and hypnotic music continued blasting from the speakers without a DJ to guide their transitions or length. "Fall into the glorious abyss of mindless obedience~" The DJ had been acquired.
Pamper Swirl smirked as she neared the front door of the Ponyville town hall. Normally she preferred to take her time converting new little ones into their regressed forms. She had already grabbed the elements of harmony and the princesses using said method.
However, time was of the essence. With so many powerful ponies now under her control. It wouldn't be long before people started asking questions. Why weren't the princess in the courts? Why were the elements of harmony and Princess Twilight not acting like themselves around Ponyville?
The problem was destined to escalate the longer it took for Equestrian culture to move toward diapers and regressed minds being the norm. Even worse what if some of these filthy questioners started spreading worry to other nations? Her plans would be ruined!
Pamper Swirl couldn't let that happen, she needed her little ponies to be safe and cared for with a new government and system to ensure the status quo never changed. As such Mayor Mare would be the first and hopefully only pony to receive a proper magical mind break.
Pamper Swirl didn't have time to set up an elaborate unaware spell or enchant speakers and equipment as she had with Vinyl earlier that week. Instead, she was going to deal with the mayor the old-fashioned way. pop up during Mayor Mare's business hour and blast her with a mind regression spell.
It was a simple affair and Pamper Swirl almost felt bad about how easy it would be. Once she had the Mayor under her control no one would be able to stand in her way. She controlled the palace, the nation's best defenders, and soon every small town. Taking a breath she knocked on the door to Mayor Mares's office.
A flurry of paper and a small muffled yelp sounded behind the door as it flew open revealing a disheveled elderly pony with yellow fur and crooked glasses. She had an air of exhaustion around her and a gentle look upon her features. Behind her was a room coated in messy paper and administration.
"Good evening Mayor Mare~" Pamper Swirl smirked as her horn flared with magic.
Spike coughed as a thick cloud of dust flew from the bookshelf. He coughed waving his hands to clear the air as he repositioned the duster and resumed his assault on the dusty furniture. Cleaning Twilight's bookshelves was always a monotonous task.
But he enjoyed it. Part of him wondered if anyone else could accomplish the task without dying of boredom. Rainbow Dash would probably quit after five minutes claiming the activity wasn't awesome enough for her. Pinkie Pie would make a mess, and Rarity would likely freak out from all the grime.
Spike chuckled to himself imagining the fashionista throwing a fit duster in hand. Cleaning the castle library was one of his favorite activities. It allowed him a break from the bustling world outside and a return to simpler times. Back then spike spent his mornings cleaning and caring for the old tree while Twilight wandered off to adventure.
Of course, he loved the castle and all the grandeur it had brought to their lives, however, the dragon would be lying if he said he didn't miss the simplicity of the Golden Oaks library. But that's Equestria for yeah, one day you're living a peaceful life in a small town and the next you're fighting a bull demon from Tartarus.
Twilight had won the battle, However, even after her friends had helped make the castle more to her liking, Spike could tell the princess of friendship still missed the old library. The castle brought titles, national acclaim, and more annoyingly, prying eyes.
The poor girl could barely get a foot out the door without being swarmed by paparazzi and onlookers eager to get a photo or word with the princess. Ponyville was a small town so such things were minor inconveniences, but when they went to Canterlot oh boy was it horrible.
The nobles always tried to sucker up to Twilight and sometimes him. Twilight got the brunt of the attention but Spike had had his fair share of encounters with ridiculous nobles who only wanted to speak with him because he was Twilight's assistant.
He was getting distracted.
With a few flicks of his duster, the last clot of stubborn dust flew from the shelf. Spike stepped back admiring his work. Every shelf sparkled with an immaculate sheen; not a single speck of dust in sight. The bright rays of Celestia's sun poured through the crystal windows and bounced off the shimmering edges of the crystal bookshelves bathing the room in a gentle warm glow.
He had scrubbed the floors and sprayed the windows earlier that morning. His work here was done. Satisfied he gave the room a curt nod. He was just in time as well! Mayor Mare had announced a mandatory party several days ago. attendance was mandatory. Whatever that meant.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were visiting the small town with a huge nationwide announcement. Details of the announcement or the purpose of their visit were still unknown but Spike wasn't going to turn down a party! Normally he and Twilight were invited to Canterlot for events like this.
For the princess to come here was a rare occurrence. Normally when the royal sisters showed up in Ponyville it was to announce the world was ending or request Twilight's help. Hopefully, that wasn't the case this time. Twilight wasn't even present this time around.
She had been called to Canterlot a few days ago and had yet to return. Spike assumed she was busy with royal affairs. Regardless, he was bummed that Twilight was going to miss this. Now that he thought about it all of their friends would miss the party.
Rainbow had been called off to Cloudsdale for special Wonderbolt training, Applejack had been busy with the farm, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy had gone to Canterlot for a brief vacation, and Rarity was nowhere to be found. She had seemingly disappeared along with Sweetie Belle.
Spike was somewhat concerned about Rarity, but the fashionista always had a flare for the dramatic. This wasn't the first time She and Sweetie Belle had "disappeared". Typically this resulted from Rarity becoming engrossed in a new project and forcing her sister to assist her.
The dragon theorized the project this time was sowing a dress for the suddenly announced party. Rarity hated sudden events especially if she didn't have a dress or theme for the occasion. She and Sweetie Belle were probably hard at work crafting an outfit that would wow everyone.
It was odd timing. Everyone was pre-occupied or on vacation. Why would the princess announce a nationwide proclamation and specifically go to Ponyville when everyone/every reason to be there was on vacation or already in Canterlot? Why not announce the capital as they usually did?
Spike assumed the sisters wanted a break from the upper-crust atmosphere of Canterlot or perhaps a change of scenery. Otherwise, the decision and schedule made no sense. Twilight would probably accompany the princesses to Ponyville so there was a chance of seeing her at the event.
Spiked smiled as he exited the library, placed his duster and other cleaning supplies in the usual closet, and marched toward his room. It was almost time for the party and he didn't want to be late. The party was scheduled to start at 5:00 PM ending 9:00 PM.
It was a long event, especially for Ponyville, but Spike was sure it would be fun. There would be games, free food, and maybe even tasty gems! Besides, he had spent the day cleaning and fixing up the castle. He wanted it to look clean and well-kept upon Twilight's return. He'd earned this break.
A glance at the clock revealed the time to be 4:50 PM. He entered his closet grabbing some casual sweatpants, a T-shirt, and a hoodie. The event wasn't formal but he was sure Rarity would have some choice words about his outfit. She could be such a critical person sometimes.
No matter, tonight was about fun. He had completed all his chores, massacred every germ in the castle, and was ready for the event 10 minutes early. Twilight would be proud. After applying some deodorant and spraying on some cologne the dragon assistant marched out the door.
Spike whistled merrily as he walked down the main road connecting the friendship castle to Ponyville. The castle wasn't too far from town but it was far enough to be a brief stroll. The gentle glow of bright lights and party streamers peaked over the thatch-roofed houses.
Had they already started the festivities? Spike rolled his eyes. Ponyville sure knew how to party. Even being early wasn't enough to outrun the fun. As he neared the edge of town more details came into focus. The buildings had all been repainted.
White, light pink highlights, even the thatched rooves had been retrofitted with fluffy cloth edges and bright sprawling colors. Waterpainted artwork such as handprints, alphabet blocks, and nursery rhymes coated the sides of buildings. A maze of party streamers and mini triangle flags hung overhead.
Hundreds of tiny Christmas lights had been strung around fence polls, building sides, and street lamps. As Spike entered the town proper, he saw that a series of stalls and tents had been set up around town. The laughter of ponies and the smell of delicious food filled the air.
"Hey, Spike! Over here!"
Turning his head, Spike spotted a light pink unicorn with purple and mint green hair waving at him with a wide smile. Beside her was another unicorn with light blue fur and a hilariously large wizard hat. She looked less enthused to be there unlike her light pink counterpart.
"Starlight, Trixie!" Spike shouted as he neared the pair. "I didn't think you two would be interested in something like this." He laughed waving a claw at the pair teasingly. "Shouldn't you two be busy 'practicing' for Trixie's next show or something."
"Well, Attendance is mandatory." Starlight rolled her eyes sticking her tongue out at the teasing dragon.
"Indeed!" Trixie said puffing out her chest, "Trixie wouldn't miss a princess-mandated party for the world! Although Trixie is a tad confused by the choice of decor." The magician raised an eyebrow as she gazed at the chaos around them. She had expected a crazy party but nothing like this.
Hundreds of people wandered around them wearing tiny party hats, frilly dresses, and other attire. Only now that Trixie mentioned the decore did Spike realize some were wearing nothing but a diaper, bib, and bonnet. It was barely enough to cover a man's chest and blush-inducing when a woman wore it.
Ponyville knew how to throw crazy parties especially if the event was themed but even Spike had to agree this felt a little ridiculous. Diapers? Pacifiers? Bonnets? What was this? Some kind of adult nursery? It was unnerving, especially when a small group waddled past them diapers crinkling for all to see.
"it is, a choice," Starlight said eyeing her peers with a raised eyebrow. She'd seen Pinkie Pie pull off some absurd themes in her day, but this party took the cake. Part of her wondered if she should be worried. It almost felt like a mental illness had spread throughout the town.
A few attendees dressed similarly to Spike, Trixie, and Starlight in casual normal clothing but they were few and far between.
"I can't be the only one who thinks this is bizarre right?" Starlight chimed in after finishing her examination of the party around them.
Trixie and Spike nodded. Events dealing with royalty tended to be formal affairs with nobles and high-ranking officials making fools of themselves in front of the populace. The fool-making wasn't usually this literal. A series of babbles and gurgles reached the trio's ears as a couple stumbled past.
Both were drooling onto their bibs and waving their rattles wildly. For the princesses to not only mandate this party but attend and to be so childish felt, out of the place to say the least. Trixie yelped jumping out of the way as a small group of pegasus wandered past waving rattles and gurgling into their pacifiers.
Spike opened his mouth to say something but paused as a gentle bed of music reached his ears. What was that sound? It felt relaxing and comforting and filled his stomach with warm tingly butterflies. Was Vinyl here? Maybe Octavia was playing the music. It sounded classical enough.
The dragon turned to voice his question to the others but was cut off by Trixie. "What's that?" Trixie said with a few blinks. Her ears swiveled about. "It sounds... nice..." Starlight raised an eyebrow at her friend as Trixie wandered off to a nearby stall saying nothing.
"Trixie?" Starlight asked raising an eyebrow at Spike who shrugged. Trixie gave no response fully engrossed in whatever she was doing. Starlight looked between the two confused. What had gotten into Trixie? She'd never seen her this invested in anything at one of these parties.
"So, you're going to follow her right?" Spike asked gesturing toward Trixie who was quickly disappearing into a sea of people. Starlight and Trixie were quite the duo to be around. They were also eccentric and often ended up in crazy situations.
They made for good stories after the fact, but Spike had noticed a common factor in all of them tended to be Trixie wandering off and being stupid. Whatever had caught the magician's eye would no doubt require some form of saving by Starlight. He was sure he'd hear all about it later.
Starlight sighed. "Yeah, Yeah I guess I am. I wouldn't want her to get into trouble at the princess's party!" Starlight flashed Spike an apologetic smile as she jogged after her friend. "It was great seeing you Spike!"
"Have fun fun you two!" He shouted after her as the unicorn disappeared into the sea of ponies.
Spike shook his head amused. He hoped they didn't get into too much trouble. What was he going to do now? Normally his friends or Twilight were here to guide the journey during the festivities but he was alone this time. He hadn't been to a party alone before. It was a strange feeling.
A growl from his stomach answered his question for him. He should get some food. Spike had been distracted cleaning all day and looking back he realized he hadn't eaten anything. At least nothing he could remember. He wanted gems, tasty tasty gems.
He didn't usually eat gems. They were like candy for dragons. Too many would fatten you, but eating none could lead to dangerous health defects. Dragons needed gems to survive. Twilight usually kept him well stocked with gems and other vital dragon nutrition.
But he felt she was a tad too scientific in her approach. Sometimes he just wanted a shiny tasty gem by Celestia! But she wasn't here right now to monitor his intake, and it was a party after all~ He could afford a small splurge. His mouth watered at the thought.
He could eat all the tasty gems he wanted tonight and no one was around to be a buzzkill. From the looks of things, a few stalls had been set up near the town center that served food. Single-serving pastries, tiny gems, vegetables, candies, etc were on the menu.
Spike approached one of the stalls eyeing the menu with ferocious hunger. "Step right up step right up! The tastiest gems, pastries, and vegetables in Equestria free of charge!" A light purple earth pony with dark purple hair shouted from behind the stall.
Before her lay a mountain of plates containing cupcakes, cakes slices, vegetables, and different colored gems. Had he heard that right? Was all of this free? Surely not. It sounded ridiculous but he wouldn't put it past the princess to charge nothing at an event this important.
Come to think of it, was anyone here spending bits? Looking around at the babbling dopey smiles of nearby ponies made him doubt that. Perhaps everything was free if you were invested enough in the theme. He sighed realizing he was pulling a Twilight.
This silly party didn't warrant a full inspection. He was here for gems and a good time he needed to let it all go. Taking a deep breath the dragon cleared his mind, located the line for the food stall, and took his place. Everything looked super tasty. The line wasn't long, but it was long enough that he knew there'd be a bit of a wait.
As he stood in line, he marveled at Ponyville's redecoration. He had to tell Pinkie Pie about this when She and Fluttershy returned. Perhaps this was all Pinkie Pie's doing and the princesses weren't involved at all. He wouldn't put it past the Pink Pony to do something this crazy. She would probably call it a childhood reconnection party!
Spike rolled his eyes at the thought. The mare was an enigma. He and the rest of the friend group had given up understanding it long ago. He chuckled recalling the time Twilight had tried to study the pink bundle of chaos in detail. It hadn't gone well and Twilight had had a mental breakdown.
"I thought you said you were going home." A harsh whispering voice pulled Spike from his reminiscing. Spike blinked looking around for the source of the voice. Were they talking to him? He had just gotten here! Of course, he wasn't going home.
"I was!" a different voice replied, "But when I got to the outskirts of town a pair of guards stopped me and said no one was allowed to leave until the festivities were over!"
Glancing around spike spotted the source of the voices. A pair of ponies two spots ahead of him in the line appeared to be having a small argument. With nothing else to occupy him, Spike began to eavesdrop. What was that about nothing being allowed to leave?
"They're actually enforcing that?!" One of the ponies, a light gray male earth pony whispered back looking surprised.
"Yes!" The other, a peach pegasus mare responded harshly. "I couldn't believe It!"
The gray earth pony rolled his eyes, "That is ridiculous, but the announcement starts in thirty minutes, let's get some food and wait it out. They probably just want us to hear that."
The pegasus huffed but nodded. "Yeah you're probably right, but I'm not happy about it."
The conversation ended there. Spike eyed the two suspiciously. Why would the guards get involved unless the pair had done something wrong? They must have broken some other rule or caused a scene somewhere else. The princess never actually enforced a mandatory attendance rule. That would be ridiculous.
The mandate was announced so nobles and other important figures felt obligated to attend. The princess wouldn't waste the guard's time having them hunt down attendees that tried to 'escape'. Besides, every royal decree was reported on the next day. There must have been a part of the story the pair omitted.
The line shuffled along in silence after the pair's conversation concluded. It seemed no one else was particularly talkative. Spike imagine they were all focused on getting food. Casting a glance beyond the line Spike could see a wide range of food on display.
Cupcakes with cute decorative icing, gems of all shapes and sizes, and the occasional vegetable or salad. The food was laid out on large serving trays spread across four large tables in buffet style. Walk up, grab and go. It was the best kind of free food. The pony behind the stall occasionally leaned over the side conversing with some attendees.
The serving ponies outfit looked strange. He couldn't make out a lot of detail as she was mostly obscured by passing ponies and others in the line, but she wasn't wearing normal clothes that's for sure. He swore he could make out a bonnet sticking up over ponies' heads.
The line shuffled along and soon Spike found himself standing at the start of the buffet. He began loading his plate with pastries, cakes, and gems. Diet be damned he was going to enjoy himself today! He could work off a few thousand calories easily! Probably.
"My my, someone's a hungry little dragon today hm?"
Spike yelped as the pony behind the counter addressed him suddenly leaning over the edge of the stall with a smirk. It took a second for his mind to process what she had said but once it did his cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. What was that supposed to mean?
"Ah um, y-yeah! Just a little!" He responded tumbling over his words in a combination of embarrassed flusters and surprise. He turned to address the pony in question but immediately turned away. She was not wearing normal clothes. A fluffy bonnet was wrapped neatly around her face.
The rim of a diaper poked its head over the counter implying a crinkly diaper wrapped snuggly around her waist. Her large knockers were on full display with only a bib barely covering the naughty parts. Spike's eyes became wide as saucers as the mental image implanted itself in his mind.
"Well, don't you worry about a thing little one." The purple pony cooed waving her mitten-covered hands at him. "You take anything and everything you want, no thoughts required!"
Spike's cheeks were practically burning his face off with how much he was blushing. The outfit was so revealing in such a bizarre way. He had seen other ponies wearing similar attire throughout the party, but seeing it up close felt different. It felt wrong but also completely right.
Was he the insane one for not jumping on board and getting invested in the theme like his pony peers had? Maybe this would be the new fashion trend. Would Rarity start making outfits like this? Spiked blinked as these thoughts tumbled through his head.
Where were these thoughts coming from? They couldn't be his. He'd never been interested in this kind of stuff before. Why was he suddenly considering it; even imagining his friend's involvement? Either way, he needed to get out of this line before someone threw a fit.
"Buh er, Y-yeah!" Spike responded to the pony quickly stacking some more cupcakes and gems onto his plate. He cast the stall pony a flustered smile before darting away from the stall. He needed a break from this insanity. His mind was starting to feel fuzzy.
Spike spent a few minutes wandering the party, plate in hand, searching for a table/bench. Anywhere to sit and clear his head while he chowed down on some delicious gems. It didn't take long for him to realize a setting area had been placed at the center of Ponyville.
It was where all the fancy lights and decorations had been strung up after all. It was also where the stage for the princess's big announcement had been placed so it made sense. He sifted through the maze of tables and chairs finding a nice spot near the front of the stage.
The announcement wasn't due to start for several minutes leaving plenty of time to enjoy a tasty treat. Spike leaned back in his chair as he picked a shiny orange gem from his plate. He licked his lips admiring the gem before popping it into his mouth.
A delectable flavor exploded in his mouth causing him to sigh in satisfaction. It was spicy with a hint of sweetness. He swished his tongue around the chomped crystal bits savoring the flavor for as long as he could. He failed to notice a small cloud of pink dust flee his mouth as he chewed.
The gem in question was the tastiest mineral he'd ever eaten. He'd have to ask the princesses where they'd found them or who had prepared them. He popped a few more gems into his mouth savoring the different flavors. The flavor grew more intense with each bite and Spike found himself craving more.
It was addicting. Maybe, he could sneak some out for later. He reached down to grab another only for disappointment to spread across his face. He'd already eaten all the gems he'd taken from the food stand. How unfortunate, he hadn't been eating that fast had he?
"Well, that sucks." Spike frowned as his stomach gurgled and a gentle fog coated his mind. He felt a sense of calm wash over him. He felt, satisfied, fulfilled even. The gem's flavor sat on his tongue causing a craving for more. His stomach felt full and heavy with crystal.
All he wanted to do now was relax and let everything go. It felt so easy to sink. His eyes lidded over as he slumped in his chair. What had he been doing? He couldn't recall. Maybe he needed to take a nap. It wasn't like anyone was watching him or he needed to be somewhere.
"Hewo Evwyone!" A voice shouted from the stage pulling spikes attention to the stage as horns blared and several spotlights flickered to life casting blooming rays of light into the audience and high into the sky. Two silhouettes began making their way to the center of the stage.
"tank chus fwo attending ouws pawty! We hope yoush had a gweat time!" A different voice shouted as triumphant music began blaring from the speakers hung above the stage. Spike squinted trying to make out who the two mystery people were. They sounded so familiar.
His question was quickly answered as the silhouettes entered the light revealing Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. A loud gasp rang out from the crowd making Spike jump in place. Looking around he saw that every table had been filled with people.
When had they gotten there? Moreover, how had he not noticed them? Had he been that distracted while enjoying his food? Maybe Twilight was right, he did have a gem problem. He'd never doubt his surrogate mother on that front again. Maybe if his mind hadn't felt so foggy he would've noticed.
The princesses were wearing wildly different attire from what he was used to. Both were wearing fluffy orange bonnets with bibs coating their breasts and diapers wrapped snuggly around their waist. Princess Luna had a onesie under her bib with a pacifier attached to it by a thin piece of cloth string.
Celestia wore a white and orange diaper with a drawing of her cutie mark on the front, while Luna wore a blue and purple diaper with stars woven on the front. Both looked like complete idiots as they drooled over themselves and slurred their words while addressing the crowd.
"We's callsh you hewe's today to announcesh da bestest news!" Luna gurgled happily as she threw her arms into the air. A nearby party cannon exploded showering the stage and onlookers with confetti and tiny pieces of candy. A gentle wave of pink particles rained down as well.
Spike watched the display with a blend of shock and complete content. It was a far cry from the princesses he was used to seeing. When He and Twilight visited they were formal well-spoken royalty. Part of him felt this was wrong, that he should protest this treatment of the royal sisters.
Royalty shouldn't be wearing diapers or bonnets, nor should they speak in such a manner. And yet another part of him was fine with this. Why shouldn't they wear pampers and enjoy themselves at a party? They were princesses after all and could do as they pleased.
Now that he thought about it, part of him felt the bonnets, diapers, and onesies fit them better than their usual regal attire. It showed off more personality and a childish innocent youth that ponies typically lost as they saged. Why shouldn't the princesses be allowed to revisit their childhood in such a tangible way?
What was the harm in wearing diapers anyway? The ponies around him were already thoroughly invested in with idea of wearing diapers, bibs, and bonnets. They had even played with baby toys like rattles, alphabet blocks, and pacifiers. He was the weird one here.
Everything was perfectly fine.
"Thas wight!" Celestia chimed in. "Todaysh, we intwoduce you to the beshtest pwincess eqwestia has evah seens and ouw new Momma!" Celestia lazily waved her arms behind her as a third silhouette made itself known.
"Intwoducing Pamper Swirl! The new Momma of eqwestia!" The royal sisters shouted in unison stepping aside to allow Pamper Swirl into the spotlight.
The light purple alicorn stepped into the spotlight with a pleasant smile on her face. Her horn glowed a gentle light pink as a brief musical cue played through the speakers. Her eyes surveyed the crowd briefly before she took a deep breath and began to speak.
"Thank you little ones." Pamper Siwrl gestured to the two princesses beside her who babbled happily from the praise. They loved serving Mommy and being praised by her was the highest form of appreciation. If they hadn't been told otherwise, the pair would've filled their pampers immediately.
The room was silent as everyone stared at the stage in awe. Some were shocked at the revelation of a new alicorn, others were confused by the announcement of a mommy, and still others were too engrossed in the subtle music and magically laced food to care.
"I'm sure many of you have questions." Pamper Swirl said with a smirk as she paced the stage. This was the final step in her grand plan. The victory was all but assured, and she knew it. The princesses were docile, the crowd was eager, and Vinyl had done an excellent job with the music.
Only one piece remained to complete her puzzle. Pamper Swirl positioned herself on the edge of stage and sent a torrent of magic into her horn. It glowed bright pink sending blinding beams of light out to the audience. Onlookers gasped and ohed at the light show as a wave of pink magic exploded over the audience.
"Questions I promise to answer." The alicorn continued as a series of surprised shouts rippled through the audience. Anyone who wasn't already wearing a diaper instantly had their clothes replaced with one. This included Spike who yelped in surprise at the sudden clothing change though his mind was too hazy to process the implications.
"However, before I can do that, there is something I must do." It was time. Pamper Swirl looked off to the left of the stage spotting Vinyl Scratch eagerly leaning over her DJ controller. The adorable little DJ's mind had broken completely after their little session earlier in the week. Swirl was so proud of her.
Seeing the thumbs up, Vinyl babbled happily as she pressed a large red button in the center of her console. A loud bass-filled sound swept over the crowd after she pressed it. Spike's face immediately scrunched up as he felt his legs spread and his bowels began to push on their own accord.
He cried out in protest as he felt a large log of a mess slide out of his backside. His thoughts slowed and became hazy as the back of his diaper ballooned out freeing him from the weight of thinking, stress, or worry. He was free to relax and let go like the good little baby he was.
A symphony of crinkling filled the air as everyone else also voided their thoughts into their diaper seat just as Spike had. A devilish smirk wormed its way onto Pamper Swirl's face as everyone around her became mindless babbling idiots just like the princesses.
She had done it. After years of trial and error, hundreds of failed attempts, and hours of scheming the day had arrived. No one was left to stand in her way. The royal sisters had fallen, the elements were no more, and all of Ponyville had seen the truth.
"Today marks the start of a new era for Equestria." Pamper Swirl announced waving her arms over the crowd. "An era of peace and prosperity for everyone, there will be no classes, no income, no work, nothing at all for you to worry about. Your life will be stress-free and simple!"
"Yaysh!" Vinyl shouted. Being behind the speakers had spared her from the brown note and thought voiding of the rest of the audience. Celestia and Luna duh'd and drooled over themselves in response to Pamper Swirl's evolving monologue. The alicorn knew they wouldn't remember this.
The days of adulting, of thinking and worrying over anything at all, are now behind you. Thoughtless heads and full diapers are all you'll ever need. I am your new Mommy, the one who will care for you and your fellow littles until the end of time!" Pamper Swirl giggled as several ponies fell out of their chairs.
"Do not feel shame in wearing diapers, embrace it! it is entirely normal and the correct attire to wear. Suck on your pacifiers and drool away, for paradise awaits us. Enjoy swirling away in your cribs and nurseries forget foreign policy, forget everything! Be happy, little, and mindless as you were always meant to be!~"
A thunderous wave of approving babbles and gurgles ripped through the crowd as Spike and his fellow ponies lept out of their chairs to celebrate the dawn of a new age. Rattles flew and diapers sagged as the old ways were forgotten. New Equestria began that day.
