Chapter 1: Leaving, Uncovered Ruins, and Unidentified Flying Object;

Location: Ponyville, Equestria; (A few days after the ill-fated Canterlot Wedding and the Changeling Invasion);

Everything was normal in Ponyville after the whole incident at the Canterlot Wedding a few days ago involving the Changeling Hive that tried to take over the country. It was a pretty close call although Eques managed to get through just barely. However, there was a bond with a certain unicorn pony that was pretty much broken between friends, family, and mentor.

At the Golden Oaks Library a pretty emotionally hurt, sad, and angry Twilight Sparkle was packing up her saddle bags with things she would need a few books, food, and other essentials. A burning emotion of hatred was in her heart with feelings that were pretty much hard to describe in words, but in simple words for others the unicorn had quite the rough past few days. First her brother was getting married to a mare that turned out to be her old foalsiter Princess Cadence, however, the real one was replaced with a evil changeling Queen called Chrysalis who wanted to take over Eques, then Chrysalis used her disguise to make Shining, Celestia, and Twi’s former friends turn their backs on her throwing her out to the wedding, and after finding the real Cadence stopped the Invasion in its tracks. However, the emotional damage had left a deep scar on Twi as she had an argument with those who didn’t believe her about Chrysalis’ true intentions and identity.

Now Twilight was leaving Eques altogether out of spite and anger. If those ungrateful individuals she cared so much about wanted her to leave then so be it. She needed no one and could take care of herself as she finds a place where there were real friends for her that would care much more about her than here. To her Eques had become a joke.

As she placed the last thing she would need to survive in the wilderness that laid outside of Eques Twi placed her saddle bag on her back with her magic thanks to a levitation spell. She headed for the door and opened it up with her magic before closing it behind her. The unicorn soon began to walk for the outskirts of the city on the Whitetail Forest side of the town once there she’ll head north to destination unknown.

As she passed stallions and ponies they were minding their own business or enjoying their day Twi was still brooding over what happened a few days ago, ‘I can’t believe they just left me for a stupid wedding when I tried to warn them. I bet their lives are going to get utterly miserable without me to use like a tool for their own gain! Who needs friends like that?’

As she kept walking Twi at last reached the outskirts of the town and the entrance to the Whitetail Woods without even looking back at the town she once called home the unicorn entered the woods without a second thought. She been in these woods before since the running of the leaves and they weren’t like the Everfree Forest, but these woods were easier to navigate or get through. Of course once Twi leaves Equestria where would she go from there? Go to some distant land that she never been to or perhaps a kingdom that was close by like the Griffon Empire.

Twilight was so deep in thought she didn’t even realize she took a wrong turn to the right and headed deep into a part of the woods that hadn’t been explored in a very long time. Like an extremely long time back when Celestia and Luna had been fillies.

As she walked down the grass covered path a part of Twi’s mind wondered what would happen to Eques if she wasn’t here when a new evil appears. Without her the elements of Harmony would be useless and then Eques would be taken over. However, that would also serve those who turned their backs on her right making them realize they caused this situation and would try to get her to come back, but Twi would do the same thing to them. Turn her back on them as they did to her as an act of revenge and satisfaction make them the same way they made her feel after she was tossed out the wedding.

But she was soon brought out of her thoughts as Twilight felt one of her forelegs trip over a large tree root as she let out an alarm yelp, “Waaahh!”

*THUD*

Twilight fell belly first onto the ground with a plum of dust and dirt as she groaned in slight pain after her sudden fall. Slowly she got up from her spot and said to herself in a slightly pained tone, “Ugh… I got to watch where I’m going next time.”

At last Twilight took in her soundings and found herself in an untouched or even uncharted part of the woods she never been into before in her life. Most of the trees in this area were massive in size and very old with most of the sunlight was blocked out by the trees’ branches. Twi never remembered coming down here before or where was she anyway as the Whitetailed Woods never had this kind of foliage, but they had a feeling like a great power had gave them incredible growth than what usual trees were capable with the feel of elemental energy of some kind.

As she looked around Twilight said to herself in confusion, “Where am I?”

No answer came as it was just her in this part of the forest, but she had to backtrack the way she came and find herself in familiar surroundings and then Twilight would be on her way. She was about to go back where she came from when the smart unicorn heard a voice that whispered her name as if someone was calling her, “T-Twilight…”

Twilight suddenly stop in her tracks looking around her eyes darting left and right in fear. For some reason Twi no longer felt alone in this place as something or someone was watching her, but she couldn’t see who it was. The voice, however, sounded male and heroic like a knight or a hero of some kind, but of whom did it belong to? It didn’t sound like any stallion she heard of talk to her.

Soon Twilight called out to whoever whispered to her in a slightly scared tone of voice, “H-hello? I-is somepony there?”

There was silence until the whisper came again this time a blue sphere of light with a purple after glow appeared in front of Twilight and spoke to her in the same voice, “F-follow me… a great evil is on the horizon… f-f-find the purple dragon of legend… go to the Dragon Realms…”

A great evil on the horizon? Purple dragon of legend? Dragon Realms? Twilight was even more confused what this orb was talking about, but something in her gut told her this could be a spirit of a long fallen warrior from ancient times. Was it trying to warn her about something and why now? Unless… fate wanted her to go this way. Did the universe need her for something important?

Soon the orb flew deep into the forest and Twilight without thinking chased after it in pursuit as she ran past tree roots, branches, trees, bushes, shrubs, and sticks trying to keep up with the strange orb. Whatever this thing was it was pretty fast. And yet it was leading her somewhere.

Soon Twilight reached what appeared to be a clearing surrounded by trees around her like it was a stadium and could see the sky again as well. However, there was something in this clearing that felt like a ripple or a rip through time and space to another world as the smart unicorn felt time and space energies imitating from this area. She looked ahead and saw the orb in front of what appeared to be a natural circle like portal of some kind with what appeared to be a vast lush valley that was alien to the unicorn and it was calling to her. Was this where she was suppose to go?

As Twi began to walk forward the orb that she was following disappeared which surprised the smart unicorn as she was in a loss for words, but something in her heart was telling her to go through the portal. She wasn’t sure what the voice she heard earlier was talking about, but the unicorn knew one thing for sure. If this is what fate had in store for her then she’ll accept it besides it would make her the first equestrian to explore an uncharted world and perhaps meet aliens. Real aliens.

As she looked at the portal in front of her Twi said to herself as she took a deep breath, “Whatever happens now happens. Well… here I go…”

Soon Twilight raced for the portal and jumped into it as she glowed white and disappeared a white flash as she entered the portal. Once the flash disappeared into it Twi was gone leaving only the portal by itself in the clearing.

However, watching from the sidelines was a light blue apparition of a four legged dragon, but it looked identical in color to what the orb looked like, however, his crests and horns regal and sharp like icicles and a tail blade that looked a large sword. The dragon’s eyes were a glowing purple and his body told it was a male. Soon the spirit dragon nodded knowing the unicorn made the right choice to go to his world and meet the new teenage purple dragon that had defeated the corrupted purple dragon that preceded him and came after this dragon in particular. A long road laid ahead of her and hopefully find peace to heal her hurt soul as the dragon remembered watching the argument between Twi and her loved ones play out in Cantalot.

“May the ancestors and the spirits of the previous purple dragons of old watch over you young unicorn and the dragons of the Dragon Realms. May they look after all of us for the coming of this new danger.”, spoke the spirit dragon in a male voice before changed into the orb like form from before and flew off into the sky disappearing from sight.

Now you all are asking. How did Twilight get to this point? Well… let’s go back to just after the Changeling Invasion was stopped. A point that would leave everything changed and a bond broken.

(A few days ago at Canterlot);

Twilight was infuriated beyond words right now. She was presently in Canterlot Castle at the Throne Room with her friends, brother, Spike, the Real Princess Cadence, and her mentor Celestia. After Queen Chrysalis was defeated alongside her army by Shining and Cadence the city had begun to rebuild from the damages inflicted during the invasion. However, for the damages done on the emotional side well… that was a whole other story.

Sure Twilight wasn’t mad at Cadence, but that couldn’t have been said for those who literally turned their backs on her. Now they want to ask for forgiveness after what they put her through?! Not to mention the apology that Applejack just gave to her felt more like a hollow cry of real apology which really got Twi’s temper in a foul mood.

There was a silence between the group and the unicorn until Twi said to them, “That’s it? That’s your apology to me? After what happened in the past few days?”

Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack knew their friend was hurt on the inside, but they had no idea how much damage was caused when they turned their backs on her after Chrysalis used them to make the unicorn leave the wedding. Even Spike who was wrapped with guilt and shame didn’t have the courage to look at his big sister he stabbed in the back.

Soon Celestia spoke to Twilight as she could tell that the unicorn was upset over what happened during the rehearsal, “Look Twilight. I understand what happened the last few days weren’t the best. And we’re sorry for not listening to you.”

However, that was the wrong move as Twilight’s feelings went over her breaking point as she glared at the alicorn with rage and hurt in her eyes, “Sorry? SORRY?!! THAT’S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY TO ME?!! AFTER WHAT YOU ALL PUT ME THROUGH?!!”

Celestia winced at the angry yell that Twilight gave her as the unicorn continued talking to her, “I warned you about Chrysalis, but you had to believe her and tossed me out like a piece of trash!! I trusted you! I trusted all of you and this is how all of you repay me?! You didn’t even know where Cadence was when Chrysalis took her place and what she went through!! Well guess what? I’m done! Done with all with you! If you can’t even listen to me then fine, but don’t go crying to me over the greatest mistake you all made of your entire lives when Eques is taken over!!”

Rainbow Dash who felt ashamed for what happened during the wedding rehearsal days ago then said to Twilight in an upset and sad voice, “Look Twi we’re sorry! We didn’t mean hurt your feelings!”

Twilight glared the Pegasus pony with an angry look on her face and yelled at her, “Yeah like I would believe that! I thought you with Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie were my best friends, but instead you ditched me for just your things when I tried to warn you! Some friends you were because our friendship is over!”

With that said Twilight then stormed from the group leaving them speechless and saddened after what the unicorn had shouted at them as the reality was slowly settling in for them. They really messed up big time and for Dash and the others like how Twi said earlier their friendship was over. However, Shining couldn’t believe that this was happening and hopefully try to reason with his angry sister.

Soon Shining quickly walked up to Twilight and said to her with a concerned and upset tone of voice, “Twilight wait-“

“Forget it Shining!! I’m not listening to you or anything you have to say to me!”, responded Twilight as she kept walking for the throne room door as she didn’t even look at him.

But Shining was still trying to reason with Twilight not knowing he was only making things worse as said to her, “But I’m sorry sis! I didn’t know Chrysalis was pretending to be Cadence or where the real Cadence was when she got captured! I’m being honest!”

This time Twilight looked at Shining as he saw her face filled with rage, anger, and disgust as she gridded her teeth into a scowl said to him, “Honest my flank!! That’s just an excuse for your blunder!! Why didn’t you noticed anything off about her from the very beginning?! What am to you and the others? A tool to get what you want cause that’s not how friendship or being siblings isn’t supposed to be about! What if something happened to Cadence when she was captured?! Did you see what she looked like when I found her under the city?!”

Shining was taken aback at Twilight’s response to him and deep down this felt more like this was all his fault. If he had listened to Twi he might’ve realized that there was something up Cadence when she started to acting like a pony he never met. Plus, the responsibility of him protecting the city and everyone in it had been neglected just for a stupid thing like a wedding. Then Shining said to Twi now in a pleading tone admitting he was wrong at what happened at the wedding rehearsal, “Twily please! I admit what happened at the rehearsal is our fault and we shouldn’t have sent you away, but-“

That’s when Twilight yelled at Shining with a burning rage, anger, sadness, and most of all hate in her voice exclaiming that something the broke the stallion’s heart in two, “NO! I HATE YOU SHINING!!! I WISH YOU WERE NEVER MY BIG BROTHER!!! IT’S OVER BETWEEN US!! YOU HEAR ME!! OVER!!!”

Shining just stood there in shock and disbelief at his sister’s outburst as the mentally image of him and her as kids shattered into a million pieces. Soon Twilight turned away from the group and walked away from them and slammed the door to the throne room with a tremendous slam thanks to her magic. A sense of sadness and regret was left in the room as the group felt the weight of the situation and what they done to their lost friend sink in.

Shining, however, just stood there before tears began to fall from his face each filled with pain, regret, sadness, and anger aimed at himself for letting this happen. For the first time in his life Shining left like he not only failed Cadence, but also his friends, family, and the biggest blow to his now broken heart was Twilight hating him beyond belief. The one he cherished most of all.

“Shining?, asked Cadence with concern as she came up the stallion and saw tears begin to trickle down his face, “Are you-“

She never got to finish when Shining looked at her with a torn up look on his face and suddenly ran away from her heading for the door as they heard sniffling and weeping coming from him as opened up the door and closed it behind him. Cadence could only look on in pity knowing how much Shining was now hurting after that hurtful thing Twilight yelled at him had broken his heart. It was best she gave him some space.

Things weren’t going to be the same as much dishonor, hurt, and pain had been inflicted. A action that left a friend in tears and a bond destroyed.

(Present Day);

Shining was in his bedroom at his apartment feeling beyond hurt as he looked at a closed window with window sheets obscuring the windows. He didn’t show up for roll call for work and was taken off duty for a while until he could get things straightened out, but it also meant he could have much needed some time to himself alone. However, the pain and the emotional damage of what happened during the wedding and the aftermath of the Changeling Invasion had left him feeling empty and broken. The only feeling he felt was just sadness, remorse, and regret.

How could he been so stupid and fall for Chrysalis’ disguise when Twi tried to warn him and the others? Now he lost the very precious thing in his life. His sister’s love and affection.

It was all his fault. If only he listened to her from the beginning none of this would’ve happened. Some big brother he turned out to be…

‘KNOCK KNOCK’

Shining heard knocking at his front door and got up from his bed as he walked downstairs and reached the front door. As he turned the nob and opened the door with his magic he saw Cadence waiting for him and saw the look of pity and concern on her face. Cadence wasn’t wearing her royal attire either and her mane looked better than the state it was in the other day.

At last the alicorn spoke to him in a concerned yet gentle voice, “Hey Shining. Can I come in?”

Shining could only nod slowly reply as he left Cadence in and closed the door behind her as she sat down on the couch looking at him. She had never seen the stallion this upset or distraught in her life and it really pained her to see him like this. Sure Cadence was upset with him like the others, but also felt very sorry for him as the look of pain and remorse on his face made her feel pity and sympathy for him.

At last Shining spoke to her as he turned around and looked at her saying to the Alicorn in a sad voice, “What are you doing here?

“I came to check on you and… I’m sorry about what happened yesterday.”, said Cadence as she didn’t want to hurt him more than he was already was after the fallout with Twilight.

“You don’t have be sorry Cadence. I deserve this… after what I done to Twily… I don’t even deserve to be called her brother anymore…”, replied Shining as he was on the verge of crying again, “It’s all my fault… all my stupid idiotic fault…”

Cadence could only look on with sympathy on her face and the responsibility of this disaster wasn’t fully placed on his shoulders, but the stallion blamed himself the most for letting this happen. He wanted nothing more than just bang his head against a tree and just let out his frustration, sadness, anger aimed himself and Chrysalis, pain, and guilt, but it wouldn’t change a thing about the damage that had been done. Soon the Princess of Love sighed and said to the unicorn gently, “Shining don’t blame yourself. You were under Chrysalis’ influence and you had no idea it was me. Even if you tried to stop her she would just put you under her control like during the wedding.”

However, Shining looked at Cadence and exclaimed to her in a hurt and very upset tone of voice, “But you weren’t at the rehearsal!!”, his face then softened changing to a sad and heartbroken expression say he continued talking, “I… I threw my own sister out like garbage when she tried to warn us. But we didn’t listen to her and we sent her away… maybe Chrysails was right. I’m just as cruel as she is… I don’t deserve anything not even to be married…”

At that moment Shining flopped down to the floor and broke down in tears as Cadence comforted him gently rubbing his mane. She knew things were going to be hard on the stallion as there was a lot of regret and remorse left behind after the argument the other day. The Princess of Love knew maybe one day both Shining and Twilight would make up and be siblings again and having things go back to normal. But right he needed to reflect and try to make peace with his action the past few days as a long road lay ahead of him.

Little did the two knew a new adventure laid ahead that would have them face a threat like no other. A evil from the stars and from another dimension. But battling alongside a dragon duo who’s relationship of love and affection was just taking off after just saving the world.

Location: The Valley of Avalar, The Dragon Realms (Once was Planet Earth); 4 months after the fall of the Dark Master;)

The sun had risen into the sky on a fine morning in the Valley of Avalar the home of Hunter’s cheetah tribe and a few others inhabitants that lived in the surrounding area. However, there were two individuals that been flying around a nearby lake with crystal clear blue water that reflected the white cloud filled blue sky above. The individuals were dragons, but not just any dragons.

They were heroes of the world and had vanquished the Dark Master at the core of the planet. These two were Spyro the purple dragon of legend and his future mate Cynder the Dragoness aka the former Terror of the Skies and was once Malefor’s slave.

The two dragons were flying through the air at a fast speed playing tag and presently Cynder was it as the black dragoness was chasing Spyro who was trying to leave her in his dust. After 3 years of being in a crystal and battling against the forces of darkness the two deserved this well earned vacation. It has been about four months since the war with the Dark Master had ended and the two dragons were having fun together.

“Heh heh. You can’t catch me this time Cynder!”, called Spyro as he looked back at the dragoness with a playful expression on his face as the two dragons flew across the lake water.

Cynder, however, had other ideas as a cunning smirk formed on her muzzle as she called back to Spyro as she chased after him flapping her magenta colored wings as fast as she could, “I wouldn’t be to sure about that Spyro!”

Using her wind element Cynder spun around in corkscrew to get an extra boost of acceleration and speed as she flew by the purple dragon like a bullet. Spyro on the other hand got blinded by the strong winds and slowed down getting out of Cynder’s tailwind flapping his wings hard. He just opened up his eyes to find Cynder looking at him with a mischievous expression on her face as Spyro’s eyes wide with fear.

And then…

Cynder tagged Spyro’s head with her left foreleg and said to him playfully tone and smile, “Tag! Your it!”

Then Cynder flew off from Spyro at a fast speed while Spyro just shook his head and smirked as it was his turn to catch the dragoness. Without a second thought he flew after Cynder as fast as his wings could propel him as he was slowly gaining on her by flapping them as fast as could. He was close enough to try and tag Cynder’s tail blade, but she had a little trick up her scales as the dragoness used her Shadow Element to vanish into thin air by diving into her own shadow in cloud of black smoke.

Spyro looked around frantically trying to find Cynder as he completely forgot she could use the Shadow element, but he also completely forgotten to watch where he was going as well. The purple dragon flew over the shore the of the lake still looking for the dragoness and had looked forward just in time to see a large tree dead ahead of him as he exclaimed in horror and realization he was on a crash course to pain, “WHOA!!!”

Spyro opened his wing and tried to slow down, but it wasn’t fast enough as he slammed hilariously face and front first into the tree with his wings point forward with a loud crash. Soon the purple dragon muttered in a pained and dizzy voice, “Ouch…”

Soon Spyro fell backwards and landed on his back still dazed and surprised by his sudden crash landing into a tree. Imaginary mini-Sparxs flew around Spyro’s head as he was trying to get the stars out of his head just as Cynder stepped up behind him and looked down at him as the purple dragon swore he was five of the black dragoness with a concerned look on her face before she said to him in a echoing voice, “You alright Spyro?”

Spyro soon shook his head and got out of his dazed state as he replied to the dragoness with a smile on his face, “I’m okey Cynder.”

This gave the black dragoness much relief as she was worried that Spyro could be badly hurt if he hadn’t slowed down in time the injuries could have been nasty. Soon the purple dragon rolled onto his legs and got up on his feet and said to Cynder as it felt good to be away from everyone in Warfang who were probably looking for them since 4 months, “You know it feels great to be here away from everyone after saving the world from destruction. Just the two of us.”

Cynder blushed a bit and wondered if Spyro heard her say that she loved him when they were at the core of the of the planet. The black dragoness didn’t brought it up for a while as she had no idea how Spyro would react and hopefully she wondered if he had the same feelings for her. She didn’t know Spyro had the same feelings for her as well and wanted to tell her that he loved her. Something about Cynder made Spyro happy and the same thing went for the dragoness, however, neither of them professed their love for each other.

There was a long silence between the two heroes until at last Cynder spoke first asking the purple dragon, “Spyro. Can… I ask you something?”

“Sure Cynder. What’s on your mind?”, answered Spyro as deep down he mentally wondered if she was going say what she was going to say to him.

Cynder looked away a bit and shyly looked at Spyro and said to him, “In the Core when you were putting the world back together four months ago. Did you hear someone say I love you to you?”

Spyro was surprised by this and knew he heard it when he was using his powers to put the world back together. He heard someone say that line to him in the core and it sounded like Cynder’s voice which meant she loved him. The purple dragon was about to say something to the dragoness when there was a flash of light on the other side of a nearby hill. The two dragons noticed this as Cynder noticed the light spoke to Spyro, “What was that?”

“Don’t know. We better check it out.”, replied Spyro as he ran for the hill with Cynder not far behind him as they were going to save their discussion for a later time. The two dragons just hoped it wasn’t another new enemy or foe that wanted to pick up where Malefor left off or try to take over the world.

The two dragons made it over the crest of the hill just in time to see an unusual creature that they had never seen before. Down on the other side of the hill laying on the grass covered ground was a lavender horse like being that had four legs just like the dragon duo, a strange light bluish colored saddle bag with a strange magenta colored star on the side of the bag, a mane and tail that was violet in color with a magenta colored stripe down the center of both, a identical magenta colored star symbol on the being’s flank, a short muzzle which was a clear giveaway that it was a girl, and sticking out the front of its forehead from its mane was a lavender horn. Behind the pony was what appeared to be a rift like portal to a world that was completely different from their world.

The two dragon heroes looked at the strange being down the hill before they took to the air and flew down to the horned pony being as they landed on the ground to get a closer look at her. As they inspected the mysterious creature Cynder asked Spyro with a curious and yet confused look on her face, “What kind of creature is this Spyro?”

The purple dragon noticed the pony was breathing which was a good sign that she was alive, but he was curious about the horn on her head as he never seen any equine beings before in his life. Spyro soon replied to Cynder’s question by saying to her in a stumped tone of voice, “I don’t know Cynder. But it sure doesn’t look like any creature we seen before and it’s definitely not one of Malefor’s minions.”

“That’s for sure.”, agreed Cynder as she looked at the portal that was believed that the strange horned being came from, “But I never seen a portal like this before do you think-“

Cynder’s question was interrupted by the sound of moaning from the being as she began to move slowly as she started to wake up from her knocked out state, “Uhhh…”

The two dragons slowly backed away from the being as she slowly got to her hooves and tried to get the stars out of her head as she at last spoke out loud saying, “Ugh… where am I?”

The being sounded like a teenager just like Spyro and Cynder, but very intelligent for her age just like Volteer the Electric Guardian. Soon the being opened her eyes and looked around as her new surroundings came into view and was about to say something when she heard Spyro’s voice, “Hello.”

The horned being looked to her right and saw both Spyro and Cynder with the purple dragon waving a paw giving her a friendly hello. The pony well… had a response that the two dragons never intend.

The pony’s eyes went wide with fear as she sees the two dragons which were ones she never seen before ignited her horn in a magenta colored aura charging up a beam of magic. Cynder, however, noticed this as her instincts kicked in just in time as she exclaimed to Spyro, “SPYRO LOOK OUT!!”

The black dragoness tackled Spyro out of the way just in time as the horned pony fired a magenta colored beam of magic at the spot that the two dragons were in moments ago. The two dragons landed on the ground with a loud thud as both dragons had almost got blasted by the unknown horse being who could apparently can use magic. Soon Spyro shook his head and looked at Cynder with a grateful look on his face, “Thanks for the save Cynder!”

“You’re welcome!”, replied Cynder as she then looked back at the spot they just been and saw a scorched black mark in the grass which made the dragoness gulp with nervousness knowing that could have been them if her sharp battlefield reflexes hadn’t kicked in time.

Suddenly, the pony began to run from the duo heading in the direction that led to Hunter’s village trying to get away from them. If she reached the village there would be all sort of the chaos and mayhem erupting and another headache for Chief Prowlus. Cynder quickly reacted by using her Shadow element as diving into her own shadow and raced across the ground right under the pony before appearing in front of her as she jumped out of said shadow. The Dragoness said to the pony with a snarl as she wasn’t going cause trouble for the cheetah tribe that lived Avalar, “Your not going anywhere! Who are you?!”

The pony responded with a another beam of energy from her horn and fired it at Cynder who quickly dodged it just in time by flying up and said to the pony with a frown knowing they were going to do this the hard way, “Alright you asked for it!”

Cynder took a deep breath and let out a loud siren scream as red colored sound waves came from her mouth and struck the pony hard sending her backwards. She landed on the ground on her back with a hard thud as she let out a low groan, “Ugh…”

She slowly got up to her hooves and opened her eyes which now a deep red glow and gained a look of fear as the pony saw Cynder morph into her dark counterpart Dark Cynder with glowing yellow eyes and in her terrifying glory within a vast dark space. The pony tried to move, but she couldn’t it was like her body was frozen in place and her heart was racing filled with terror and fear. She stared into Dark Cynder’s glowing yellow eyes as the Terror of the Skies slowly made her advance on the pony. She could hear the cries and wales of all the dragons she took down and destroyed during the war.

In reality Spyro and Cynder approached the immobilized pony who was in the grips of Cynder’s Fear Element’s basic technique which was only of two techniques she knew in one of the dark based elements she wielded while her original only light based element was wind. Spyro looked at Cynder and said to her with a smile, “Nice thinking in using your Siren Scream to immobilize her Cynder.”

“Thanks Spyro. I just hope it holds up before the effects wear off.”, responded the dragoness as the Fear Element was able to immobilize foes for a short amount of time. The two dragons needed information from the pony and find out why did she attack them out of the blue like that and what was with the portal she came from.

At last the effects of Cynder’s Siren Scream wore off and the pony’s eyes returned to normal as she found herself surrounded by the two dragons from before. She looked at Cynder and realized that what she saw was a fear induced hallucination, but this dragoness looked identical to what she in that illusion. That’s when it hit her. She saw what Cynder would grow up into even though Dark Cynder was terrifying she also looked beautiful and elegant after all the black dragoness knew what she was going to grow into since being a general and puppet for Malefor’s army. Thankfully, she would never be evil ever again.

At last Cynder spoke to the pony with a frown on her face as she and Spyro wanted answers with a stern voice, “Now are you going to tell us why you tried to blast us with that attack you did earlier or who are you anyway.”

Before they could get an answer the pony lit up her horn and disappeared in a magenta colored flash causing the two dragons look around in shock. Soon Cynder said to Spyro in disbelief at what just happened seconds ago, “Spyro she’s gone!”

Spyro was in a loss for words too and was about to say something when the pony appeared behind him in the same magenta colored flash before she used her powers again and cover the purple dragon with a magenta colored aura lifting him up into the air. The purple dragon was taken by surprise and before he knew it the pony looked at the hill that the two dragons came from and tossed him into the air as he yelled in disbelief, “WHOAAAAA!!”

“SPYRO!!”, screamed Cynder in horror as she watched Spyro soar through the air and landed in the lake they were playing around with a loud splash!

Spyro hit the water hard causing an eruption of water that shot into the air and became a spray as he disappeared into the water. While Cynder watched in disbelief and horror after the purple dragon got sent flying into the lake with that strange power that this creature used moments ago. The black dragoness hoped that the purple dragon was alright, but she had other problems right now.

“Now it’s just us two.”, said the pony as she stared at Cynder who looked at her directly after she tossed Spyro into the lake.

Cynder looked at the pony and was in a bad mood now as she glared at her with fury and no one ever hurts Spyro like that, however, something had begun to ignite inside of her. It didn’t feel like Aether, Wind, or any of her elements she used before and it felt like an element that was a fusion of electricity and fire with it feeling like a light based element just like her Wind element. Whatever it was Cynder’s instincts were telling her to use it. Something to even the odds.

Soon the pony charged up her horn with another magenta colored energy blast while Cynder responded by opening her mouth and let the new element’s energy rush through her body to her mouth. Suddenly, light blue and bright yellow fire that actually crackled like electricity formed in Cynder’s mouth before the pony fired her attack as powerful magenta colored beam came from her horn, but Cynder released the strange fire as it was released from her mouth in a torrent blast of light blue and bright yellow plasma fire.

The two attacks collided head on resulting in an explosion of light and smoke sending both Cynder and the pony to the ground. The two slowly got up from their spots with Cynder in shock at what she just did. The black dragoness never knew that she could do that nor had this new dormant element that appeared to be very powerful.

The pony, however, was left in shock at what she just witnessed from the dragoness. That wasn’t any normal fire it was plasma, but in a fire like form. She thought dragons could only use fire, but Cynder was able use Shadow, Fear, and now pure Plasma. This was scientifically impossible for her knowledge on dragons to wield other elemental abilities.

Suddenly, the grass around them began to smolder and then ignited in flames as the two looked around in shock and disbelief as they were surrounded by all sides by the fire. Both were trapped and Cynder knew she couldn’t use her Wind element or fly out of here as either would just fan and fuel the flames even more causing it to spread across the area. The only one who had an element that could put out the flames was Spyro with his Ice element.

(Song abruptly stops);

(Meanwhile with Spyro…)

Spyro was floating in the water of the lake knocked out cold face first after being thrown into the body of water by the pony. However, something inside of him was awakening inside of him as if he was becoming one with the water of the lake. It felt like how he awakened his fire element, but this one felt dormant for a long time. Could it be a new element?

There was something else too. A unfamiliar female voice way back when he was an egg at the Dragon Temple as the Year of the Dragon neared saying to him in a kind, motherly, and gentle voice, “I’ll always be with you my son. Like the Element of Water that you’ll one day awaken within you.”

Spyro’s eyes shot open as bubbles came from his muzzle and quickly pulled his head out of the water gasping for air as his lugs took in fresh air through his nostrils. The purple dragon looked around and saw that he was near the shore of the lake, so he used his tail to propel himself through the water and used his back legs to swim. Spyro was surprised that he knew how to swim as if it was on instinct and made it to dry land in no time, but how and who was that female voice that he heard in his head.

The voice called him her son and it wasn’t his stepmother Nina’s voice, but it sounded familiar almost like he knew it. Was the voice from his biological mother and what did she meant by the Element of Water? Spyro never heard or seen this Water element be used before and yet why did it sound familiar to him.

(Song Resumes);

Suddenly, the purple dragon was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard an unfamiliar female voice that sounded like an older teenage girl screamed out loud in fear, “SOMEPONY HELP US!!”

Spyro looked in the direction of the scream and saw black smoke and a orange glow from the below the hill that the portal was and the same place where he and Cynder were fighting that the strange pony that threw him into the lake with that telekinesis power with her horn. The purple dragon knew what that could mean as it meant there is a fire going on. This could mean Cynder and that pony were in trouble.

Without thinking Spyro opened his wings and took to the air and saw a roaring fire surrounding Cynder and the pony who was next to the dragoness with a scared look on her face. Spyro knew had to do something and fast before it was too late. However, Spyro felt the strange feeling that he had in the lake as he felt what was similar to a torrent of water rushing through him like a flood or a raging ocean.

Spyro took a deep breath and opened his mouth with the new energy in his body and released it like his fire breath, however, what came out instead wasn’t either fire, electricity, ice, or an Earth Shot as it was a jet of cool and aqua blue colored water which surprised the purple dragon as the jet of water he released from his mouth struck the fire. At that moment like always the jet of water fizzled out the right side of the flames leaving scorched earth and blackened grass. The purple dragon was shocked as he was using Water! He must of gained or awakened a brand new elemental power and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Spyro soon used his new Water Element still letting out a jet of water out of his mouth to put out the rest of the flames as Cynder and the pony watched in amazement as the purple dragon managed to extinguish the fire in no time. The pony could only look in amazement as she never believed a dragon could use the power of water maybe these were different from the ones she knew. For one they seemed more friendly and tried to defend themselves when she attacked them.

Soon Spyro flew down towards Cynder and the pony and once he did the purple dragon of legend landed in front of the two with a smile on his face. Soon the purple dragon said to the two, “Cynder. Are you and this pony okey?”

Cynder nodded in reply and with a smile on her muzzle as well as she said to Spyro, “Yeah. Thanks to you. Did you gain a new element just now?”

Spyro could only nod in response to the black dragoness and said to her, “Yep! It’s the Element of Water. I’m surprised that I had this element dormant inside me.”

“I never heard of a Water Element before, but I guess being a purple dragon has its benefits.”, answered Cynder as she couldn’t complain about the results as she too gained a new element as well. Plasma. Which was weird since Cynder herself never knew she had that kind of element before and it wasn’t a dark nature element like Shadow, Poison, and Fear, but it was light natured like Wind, Fire, Earth, Ice, Electricity, and now this new Water element. Perhaps there were more elements than they first thought and possibly dragons with these elements including Guardians for that matching element. The dragons knew of four Guardians for Earth, Electricity, Ice, and Fire. Well… make that three now since Ignitus made the ultimate sacrifice ing getting them through the Belt of Fire.

“You… you saved us…”, came a voice as Spyro and Cynder looked at the pony that they were fighting moments ago stared at the purple dragon of legend in shock and amazement.

Spyro recognized the voice he heard earlier that called out for help moments ago. Cynder was about to attack the pony, but Spyro stopped her by blocking her advance with his left wing as he looked at her shaking his head knowing they had to approach without trying to hurt her as they had startled her when they first found her and tried to defend herself. Cynder reluctantly nodded in agreement before she went back to her normal position while Spyro brought back his left wing and looked at the pony and said to her, “You okey?”

The pony nodded in reply and said to the purple dragon of legend in response as she was surprised that a dragon saved her life from being barbecued by a raging fire with the dragoness she was fighting earlier, “Y-yes. I’m okey. Thanks for asking.”

There was an awkward silence between the duo and the pony until Spyro broke the silence saying to the pony, “Well let’s start off with introductions. I’m Spyro and the dragoness next to me is Cynder.”

The pony smiled at the dragon a bit before she said to the duo as she gave them a small bow, “It’s nice to meet you two. I’m Twilight Sparkle.”

Spyro and Cynder looked at each other as they never heard Twi’s name before nor seen her kind before after battling much of the Dark Armies during the war. Besides it could be a good idea to ask her what kind of creature she was and where she came from. Hopefully, Twilight would decide to attack them again after their misunderstanding moments ago as Spyro and Cynder were fighting for their lives.

Twilight on the other hand, claw, or hoof attacked both dragons out of fear and from being startled by the appearance of the duo. She thought they were similar to the dragons from her world after they were more hostile and greedy than these two were as they tried to be friendly to her. However, Twi was very intrigued by Spyro and Cynder’s ability to use different elemental powers as she thought only dragons could breath fire, but Cynder used shadow power and then plasma while Spyro used the power of water. Which was odd since water was the complete opposite of fire.

However, Twilight looked at Spyro’s scales were purple and thought back to what the whisper she heard in the forest on her world. Was the male teen dragon a purple dragon of legend as the voice spoke about? However, what was this new evil that the whisper warned her about perhaps she’ll have to find out.

At last Twilight said to the dragon duo as a smile formed on her muzzle as she apologized to them for attacking them, “Sorry for attacking you earlier. I thought you two were going to attack me and take my saddle bag.”

Spyro and Cynder looked at each other with confusion as they wouldn’t take Twi’s bag nor wanted to bring harm to Twilight before the duo looked back at her as the purple dragon gave the unicorn pony a smile and said to her, “It’s okay Twilight. We don’t blame you for attacking us out of self defense. We would do the same in your hooves. So where you’re from anyway?”

Twilight had an unsure look on her face not sure on how Spyro and Cynder would react about her being from another world. However, considering that she attacked them out of fear and saved her from being burned alive by that fire not to mention they were being friendly to her like real friends the unicorn pony decided to tell them. Hopefully, they would understand and believe her.

So Twilight took a deep breath and said to the dragon duo deciding that she would tell them where she’s from, “Well… if both of you want to know it’s pretty hard to believe what I’m about to tell you would blow you two away.”

Spyro and Cynder looked at each other as they had been through recently would last them a lifetime of course they did save the world from destruction four months ago. However, Cynder had her doubts about Twi after she tried to blast them earlier, but if Spyro trusts her then at least the dragoness could hear her out. Soon the black dragoness spoke to Twilight telling her that had their fair share of strange things in their lives, “Trust us Twilight we seen and been through some things you wouldn’t believe if we told you.”

Twilight was intrigued by what Cynder meant by that statement and it sounded like an interesting subject. Little did she know what the unicorn was about to hear from the two dragons would blow her mind wide open beyond belief.

(Minutes Later);

“Whoa! I don’t believe that you’re from another world!”, said Spyro as he and Cynder had listened to Twilight’s story and where she came from. The trio were underneath a shady tree staying out of the sun near a large of outcropping of rocks that was located east of the sport the trio met and away from the portal that Twi came through. The lavender unicorn pony had told the dragon duo about her life and what happened to her recently to the point she found the portal to the Dragon Realms.

The lavender unicorn nodded in reply to Spyro’s response as she said to him and Cynder who had listened to her story, “Yeah and it all leads up to right now. I never thought there was others worlds beyond mine or dragons that are completely different from the ones I met.”

Spyro and Cynder could only agree with the smart unicorn’s response as were still surprised at Twi’s story and had sympathy for the unicorn pony after the whole fallout with her friends and family. Sure friends and family have falling outs at times, but to have your trust that you put into others that you trust just turn on you when they believe someone disguised as an individual you know too well. However, what had them stumped was the strange voice that led her to the portal and the strange orb spirit apparition that she saw deep within the Whitetailed Forest and also how did it know about the purple dragon of legend after which was referring to Spyro.

“What I’m concerned about is how did that strange thing you saw knew about Spyro being the purple dragon of legend? Or why did it wanted Twilight to come to our world for?”, asked Cynder as she was stumped by whatever Twilight encountered in the forest she found the portal to the Dragon Realms wanted her to come to their planet.

Twilight couldn’t agree more since being a pony of science and she was surprised when Spyro told her that he was the purple dragon of legend when she brought up that strange spirit apparition she saw and the two dragons and this world had just come out of a long war that ended 4 months ago. They even told her about the purple dragon in general which wasn’t much to go on since Spyro and Cynder had little knowledge about purple dragons only that they could master any elemental power, bring in a new age, and they are only born every 10 Generations which is about 1000 years. This even brought up the subject of Malefor who literally tried to end the world which horrified and shocked Twilight as she never knew that someone would literally try to destroy the planet just to bring a new age of chaos and destruction not to mention was responsible for the raid on the temple that Spyro and Cynder’s eggs and enslaving Cynder as a pawn turning her into a destructive force that spread terror to any dragons or allies of the dragons when she appeared on the battlefield. However, she was glad to hear Malefor had been defeated once and for all by Spyro and Cynder with assistance from 6 mysterious purple light forms of 6 unknown dragons that pulled him into the core of the planet.

Whatever Twilight saw in the Whitetailed Woods was could have sensed something coming to the Dragon Realms. A new threat perhaps. The only question was what exactly was this coming threat? It clearly couldn’t be Malefor since both Spyro and Cynder remembered that he had been defeated for good four months ago and imprisoned in the core of the planet by those six mysterious purple light dragons that imprisoned him in the core. Then there was the subject on the portal between Twi’s world and their planet.

Soon Spyro spoke up and said to Cynder who looked at him as he got up to his feet, “Well whatever is happening I think we better get back to Warfang and tell the Guardians about this. Maybe Terrador, Cyril, or Volteer know something about this or even that portal.”

Cynder nodded in agreement with the purple dragon’s idea as she got up to her feet and said to Spyro with a smile on her face knowing that they can take Twilight with them to Warfang considering she had no where to go right now, “And we can take Twilight with us. After all I think the Guardians would want to hear her story and how she got here to our world. Even Volteer.”

Spyro nervously chuckled when Cynder brought up the Electric Guardian knowing the chatterbox electric dragon would be absolutely ecstatic about learning or talking to a unicorn pony from a different planet. He could mentally hear Volteer talking nonstop much to Cyril’s dismay and annoyance alongside Sparx’s as the little annoying dragonfly would want the older electric dragon to shut his trap. That would totally cause a ruckus that Terrador would have to work on knowing things could erupt into mayhem.

Twilight on the other hoof was absolutely astatic about her going to a city of dragons with different elemental abilities who had an amazing civilization and was told about Volteer from Spyro and Cynder since the Electric Dragon was a scientist meaning Twi and him could compare notes, talk scientific theories, and other things that science type individuals like themselves could understand. Maybe she could become the electric guardian’s first unicorn lab assistant if she decides to start a new life here in the Dragon Realms. Heh a pony taken under the wing of a dragon. Now that’s a pretty cool concept.

Spyro was about to say something to Twi and Cynder when he felt something calling to him from a nearby cave not far from their spot. He looked towards the cave opening that the strange sensation was coming from as the purple dragon couldn’t explain it, but he felt what felt like the Aether element energy except it was faint and extremely ancient too which was strange. What was Aether energy doing all the way out here in Avalar and why did the energy feel extremely ancient?

Soon Spyro got up from his spot and walked towards the cave opening catching Cynder and Twilight’s attention as they looked at the purple dragon concerned looks on their faces. As the two watched him walk for the cave opening Cynder asked Spyro with both a concerned look and tone of voice, “Spyro? What’s the matter?”

Hearing his name being said by the black dragoness Spyro snapped out of his trance and looked back at Cynder and Twilight and said to Cynder with a unsure look on his face, “I don’t know Cynder, but… I think I can feel faint Aether energy coming from that cave.”

Cynder was confused by what the purple dragon just said to her moments ago, “Aether energy? All the way out here in Avalar? That’s strange.”

“Yeah. And Cynder the energy feel like it’s ancient… like really really ancient.”, replied Spyro as it was hard to explain what he was feeling from the Aether energy, “I think we should go inside that cave and find out what’s causing the energy.”

Cynder nodded in agreement as she got up from her spot while Twilight did the same as the two walked over to Spyro who then turned around and led them into the cave. As they walked in the trio noticed something strange about the cave. It was hard to explain, but something in this place felt different like whatever this goes to must be from a time before anyone else was around even the Dark Master himself with evidence that a unknown species that once called this world home.

As the trio kept walking down the cave tunnel they passed interior cave formations and everything started to get dark as they went deeper into the cave. Thankfully Twilight used her magic to ignite a light on her horn to provide illumination and something to help them to see where they were right now. By now Cynder and Twilight could feel the ancient Aether energy just like Spyro although the energy felt faint, but it was a bit stronger than what was like outside.

However, as the trio went deeper the inside of the cave began to change from natural formation to unnatural as they felt the rocky cave floor become smooth and hard. It was strange for a cave to have a smooth floor surface unless… they were in a structure. As they kept walking down the tunnel Cynder said to Spyro and Twilight, “Uh guys. Why does the ground feel smooth all of a sudden?”

Spyro had to agree with Cynder as he looked at Twilight who was producing their only light source who was behind the purple dragon and said to her, “Um Twilight could you shine some light at the ground?”

With a nod as her reply Twilight used the light she was creating with her magic from her horn to see the cave floor. Both Cynder and Spyro alongside Twi looked down at the floor to see a dull grey colored floor that looked to be made of a strange stone material. It looked artificial yet it didn’t look like anything that dragons, apes, cheetahs, or even the moles could create and build. Someone or somepony else in Twilight’s case built this whoever or whatever they were left it long ago.

“Whoa.”, said Cynder as she alongside Spyro and Twilight looked down at the floor as they came to the same conclusion as the trio looked up at each other as the dragoness spoke to the purple dragon and the unicorn pony, “Guys I think this cave was once part of a building some kind.”

Spyro had to agree with Cynder’s response as did Twilight, however, what was a building doing all the way out here. Before he could answer Spyro heard something that echoed through his mind and ears as if he could only hear it as a strange female robotic voice echoed through his brain, “WARNING. ENERGY CORE MELTDOWN IMMINENT. ALL PERSONAL PLEASE EVACUATE TO SAFE ZONES IMMEDIATELY. REPEAT. ENERGY CORE MELTDOWN IS IMMINENT PLEASE EVACUATE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY.”

Suddenly, Spyro’s eyes went wide with his pupils shrank as a head splitting headache came and saw things. They were images of something more likely an event of some kind. There were strange sounds including a loud blaring sound, panic and fear filled unknown voices, running, hallways with what Spyro could describe as strange ape like beings wearing weird clothing raced down the hallway, and a huge room some kind with what appeared to be a huge machine of some kind. What was happening and who were these mysterious creatures?

Suddenly the strange machine glowed purple and with a bright flash of purple light accompanied with the sounds of wails, cries, and horrified screams before Spyro saw what looked like a massive explosion from a strange building as everything went white. Then Spyro saw the planet from space which looked very different than what it looked like now as purple colored energy was spreading across the planet. Was that energy the Aether element and were these beings trying harness its power only bring destruction on a planetary level?

“Spyro?”

“Spyro.”

“Spyro!”

“Huh?”, he replied at last as Spyro snapped out of his trance and looked to see both Twilight and Cynder looking at him with concern and worry. The purple dragon and his companions were still in the strange cave which was in reality part of a very ancient building.

Soon Cynder asked Spyro with a concerned and worried tone of voice after the purple dragon literally zoned out like he was in a trance, “Are you okey Spyro? You look… startled…”

Spyro shook his head getting whatever he saw out of his mind and said to Cynder with a smile on his muzzle, “I’m fine Cynder. It’s nothing let’s just keep going.”

Cynder reluctantly agreed as the group continued walking into the strange cave without bringing up another word. Spyro didn’t want Cynder to worry about him knowing that she cared so much about him, but he was still wrapping his mind around at what he saw in his mind. Was it a vision of some kind? The last time he began to have visions they were about the Night of Eternal Darkness which led to Malefor’s return, but this time it felt different. This felt more like a vision of the past. The extremely far distant past. Whatever he saw in that vision was trying to tell him something. Something very important that would have some link to the present.

Unbeknownst to the purple dragon Twilight noticed Spyro wasn’t being honest to her and Cynder as whatever happened had shook him up good. She would have to ask him what he saw in his trance when she gets the chance, however, the mystery of what was this place was just beginning to reveal itself. Without saying anything the smart unicorn followed Spyro and Cynder deeper into the strange cave.

The group kept walking as their surroundings began to change as the cave became a hallway, but it looked worse for wear and to Spyro’s surprise the hallway matched the one he saw in his vision just moments ago. He could hear whispers and muffled sounds echoing around him probably from those strange creatures that were wiped out by that massive explosion he saw in that strange vision.

Twilight kept her horn glowing producing light as she looked around the long forgotten hallway of an ancient building that been buried underneath rock and stone what was possibly centuries of erosion, continental drift, and ravages of time. She soon said to Cynder as the dragoness was right about them being in a building of some kind, “Well Cynder. You were right about this place being a building of some kind, but I wonder what this place was for anyway.”

Cynder looked at Twilight and spoke to her with an uncertain look on her face as she nor Spyro never come across ruins like these before as she spoke to the smart unicorn pony, “Beats me Twilight. This place is definitely not dragon or mole made. I don’t think the Apes could have make something this advanced during the war.”

“So somepony else built this place? But then who?”, Twilight asked as she was left feeling stumped on who created this place.

“I don’t know.”, answered Cynder as she looked around and could feel faint Aether energy all around them. Why there was Aether energy imitating from this place and the feel of the energy was extremely ancient to the point it predated the dragon civilization. Was there a species that was more advanced than the dragons? If there was then what happened to them or where did they go?

Soon the group came into a room which looked like control room of some sort, but much of the control panels and everything were destroyed as there was a massive explosion that happened. In front of the trio was a large open room with a strange looking machine that been utterly and completely destroyed by some kind of catastrophic explosion. Spyro recognized the room as it was the same place where that strange machine he saw in his vision, but whatever happened had become a distant memory as if it longer exists.

As the group looked around the vast open room Cynder said out loud with an unsure and confused voice, “What is this place?”

“Well Cynder judging from what we’re in right now used to be a control room. I think it could have been whatever was being controlled by the destroyed equipment in here.”, answered Twilight as she looked at the totally destroyed electronic equipment that littered the control room floor. She was very intrigued by the technology and wondered who could produced this level of tech that’s been buried in Avalar for over centuries.

This left more questions as Cynder could only look on at the massive empty room as she wonder what was used to be in this place. However, Spyro knew thanks to that vision he had earlier ago. It was that strange machine that strange artificial voice called an energy reactor. However, it left some questions than answers for the purple dragon. Why did the machine explode? What was a meltdown? And what did the Aether Element the very element wielded by the purple dragon have do with all of this?

At last Spyro snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Twilight and Cynder knowing they better get going onto Warfang. Everyone that he and Cynder knew were probably looking for them right now. Perhaps the Guardians knew something about these strange ruins as they left quite the unknown mystery behind on who could create something this advanced.

At last Spyro spoke to Twilight and Cynder as it was time to go and get out of this place, “Come on guys. Let’s get out of here and get to Warfang. We’ll have to ask Terrador, Cyril, and Volteer if they know something about this place once we get to the city.”

Both Cynder and Twilight agreed with the purple dragon of legend and walked out of the way they came into the room. Spyro looked back at the where the reactor once stood and could only think about what he saw in his vision. Something in his bones told him that something was coming and whatever it was it was about to change everything they knew.

“Spyro! Come on! You don’t want to get left behind in this place do ya?”, called Cynder in the distance in the direction of the exit snapping Spyro out of his thoughts and saw a magenta colored light in the distance with the girls waiting for him. The purple dragon quickly ran up to the two and the trio began their walk about to the entrance of the cave where they came in minutes ago. What they didn’t know was something was about to arrive on their world alongside a new dangerous evil like no other.

(Meanwhile…)

Above the planet outside the Earth’s atmosphere everything appeared quiet which is pretty ironic considering that no sound could be heard in outer space. Despite almost facing the end of the world four months ago the world had healed quite well and it would be impossible to tell that it was broken apart and put back together. However, something was closing in on the planet as something in the direction of Mars was coming as a light blue gleam of light shone in the distance.

Just then something came out of a flash of light at a very tremendous speed as it was slowed down greatly. When the flash disappeared it revealed a large looking starship that was extremely sleek, alien, and futuristic like it came from another planet or galaxy. The massive behemoth of a ship soon flew for what was once Earth’s original moon many centuries ago, but before that a side door of the ship which looked like a door to massive hanger opened up and a smaller ship which was twice the size of a 21st Century artifact carrier came out and flew for the surface of the Earth.

The massive starship that had arrived earlier then plotted a course for the lunar surface of the moon. While the smaller ship headed planet side to investigate and examine any lifeforms on the planet. As the two ships went their separate ways it became clear that the Earth’s new inhabitants were about to get some unexpected visitors out side of Earth’s solar system.

Now it begs the question. Who or what exactly just arrived on the planet and the original moon?

Back with our trio the two dragons and their new pony companion much time had passed since they left the strange cave and found those unknown ruins. They had begun their journey back to Warfang and it gotten pretty late that made them set up camp. By now the sun had set for the giving way for night to arrive. They were close, but they’ll have to finish the trek back to Warfang in the morning considering Twilight had no idea what lived out in the Dragon Realms during the night.

Spyro and Cynder were looking up at the star filled sky of night as the two dragon heroes alongside Twilight were around a campfire created by some firewood and Spyro’s fire breath. The two dragons had feasted on smoked hog after the two dragons went hunting for food since dragons were predators after all even though they both ate meat and plants. Twilight had a clover sandwich for dinner she packed before she left Equestria through the portal she found in the Whitetailed Forest. By now the clouds of day had rolled away revealing a vastly clear sky with nothing to spoil the moment.

Twilight was writing everything down on a notebook about Spyro and Cynder and their elemental powers after being told about them earlier today. From what she was told by the them Spyro is a very rare breed of dragon that can master any elemental power and his breed could utilize other abilities including Time itself which vastly fascinated the smart unicorn pony never knowing a dragon could use the power of time as an element. Cynder was different case as she didn’t what breed she was nor what her original element was, but according to her when she was corrupted by Malefor at the Well of Souls the dragoness gained three additional elements that were dark in nature only her Wind element was light in nature alongside her new Plasma element. Twi had created a list that had Spyro with Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, Electricity, and Aether making a total of six elements while Cynder had the same number of elements, but her’s were Wind, Plasma, Poison, Shadow, Fear, and Aether. Twilight even wondered if there other elements that dragons could use than just the eleven elements that were on her notebook page. Not to mention these Guardians that the two dragons mentioned to her as they were masters of their respective elements and trained younger dragons to use their elemental powers. She even wondered if these dragons known as Terrador, Cyril, and Volteer knew if there were Guardians for Water, Wind, Plasma, Poison, Fear, and Shadow elements.

As the dragon duo looked up at the sky stargazing at the stars that twinkled and shined in deep space Cynder soon said to Spyro, “Sure is a beautiful night Spyro.”

“Yeah. The stars look amazing tonight too.”, said Spyro as he agreed with Cynder’s comment about the stars out tonight.

As the two looked at the stars together Spyro looked at Cynder for a bit before he said to her in a bit of a shy tone of voice, “Cynder…” the black dragoness looked at the purple dragon of legend as he continued talking to her, “This morning when we were talking about hearing someone saying I love you while we were in the Core of the planet. I… remember hearing it and figured out it was you who said it.”

Cynder’s heart began to race as she blushed in a deep red when Spyro told her that he heard the dragoness profess her love to him in the core of their planet during the final battle with Malefor. She didn’t know what he was going to say next and was trying to keep her calm yet she couldn’t get a grip on it. At the same time Spyro was hoping that Cynder had similar feelings for him as the way she made him feel when he sees her beautiful green eyes and looks at her it makes him feel… happy. Very happy.

“H-how did you know it was me?”, asked Cynder who was still blushing under her black colored scales after Spyro told her that he heard what she said to him months ago.

Spyro took a deep breath and said to the dragoness as he looked at her, “Well… after what we been through together and that you stayed by my side when I was using my powers to put the world back together and you were the one who got me out of the core when the planet was healing up. Ever since I met you I just felt… well… happy when I’m around you. And… if I told you that I love you might not… like me.”

Cynder looked down a bit before she said to the purple dragon as she began to talk to him, “Well Spyro I like you very much. In fact I love you greatly. After what you did for me over the past 3 years and everyone looked at me like a monster after being Malefor’s servant you were always there for me and showed that care about me so much. Even when I was captured by Gual and his forces you came to rescue me against the odds. Whenever you were close to me I feel warm and happy no matter how bad things looked. That’s why I said that I love you in the core. You were the best thing that’s ever happened in my entire life.”

Spyro felt very happy at this and scooted closer to Cynder as he placed his right wing around the dragoness as the two dragons placed their tails on top of each other. Then Cynder gently laid her head on Spyro’s neck causing the purple dragon to smile warmly at her before the two looked up at the night sky. The two were now officially and truly in love and future mates whatever lays ahead of them they would face it together.

Not far away Twilight saw the two dragons profess their love to each other and had officially became an item. Although she was happy for the two dragons it reminded her about Shining and Cadence and their relationship. Then the Changeling Invasion came and deep down somewhere in her heart Twi felt like she betrayed her own brother after what she said to him before she came here. How could she have said that to him right in his face? Sure she was upset with everyone that she cared about, but… why did it feel like she broke his heart when she yelled that she hated him.

The memory of her older brother looking at her during their fight was etched into Twi’s brain. The sad, shattered, broken, and devastated look on his face kept coming back to her like it had left her in turmoil. Perhaps she took things too far. But now she was starting to feel sorry for the older brother that Twilight hurt and wished she could take back what she said to him.

Just then something zoomed through the sky like a shooting star as it passed over the campsite. Twi, Spyro, and Cynder looked up just in time to see a bright light blue streak blaze a trail across the sky at an unbelievable speed as if it was a comet from outer space. Before any of them knew it the unknown object was gone into the distance ahead!

As the three gazed up at the sky in different levels of disbelief and shock after whatever flew over them moments ago Twilight said out loud, “What was that?!”

Cynder was also in disbelief alongside Spyro as she said to the smart unicorn pony, “I don’t know! That couldn’t have been a meteor or a shooting star that we saw moments ago!”

“Well whatever it was its gone now.”, replied Spyro as he never saw anything like that before in his life. After what he and Sparx seen the past 3 years this took the cake. Besides they had an early morning tomorrow as they were not far from Warfang. All they had to do was fly through the Burned Lands which was the shortest route to reach the city.

Soon the purple dragon said to Cynder and Twilight as it was time to turn in for the night, “Come on guys. We better get some sleep cause we have an early morning tomorrow to reach Warfang.”

Both Twi and Cynder could only agree as Spyro got up from the spot where Cynder was and used his new water element to fire a short squirt of water out of his mouth which doused the flames of the campfire. Spyro was getting used to his new Water breath which made him a walking fire extinguisher and had gotten quite the hang of his new element.

Soon Twilight pulled out a sleeping bag that she packed in her saddle bag and got inside it as she said to the dragon duo, “Night Spyro. Night Cynder.”

“Night Twilight.”, replied Spyro as the unicorn pony closed her eyes and fell asleep while Spyro laid down not far from Cynder who placed a wing over his back.

The purple dragon noticed the black dragoness left wing over his back and smiled at her as Cynder smiled back at him and said to each other at the same time, “Goodnight.”

With that said the two dragons laid their heads down on the ground and closed their eyes as they drifted off to sleep. Both dragons never felt so happy before in their lives and had a feeling everything was going to be different from here on out, but they’ll face whatever comes next together. What they didn’t know that something had arrived on their planet cause what they witnessed earlier wasn’t of their world or Twi’s world.

But a new adventure was just around the corner and it was going to be literally out of this world.

Well here’s chapter 1 everyone. We saw the aftermath of the wedding, Twi leaving home going to the Dragon Realms, Spyro and Cynder having a bit of a romantic moment together before meeting Twilight, the trio discovering long forgotten ruins of a lost civilization that existed before the Dragon’s time, and many other things. I wonder who just arrived on the planet? Friends or a new foe?
