1: The Letter

It's been a few days since the incident with Sludge recently happened, it was a really awful event for everyone here to have dealt with such a jerk like him, and Spike especially has had a really rough time with it. Despite support from Smolder and everyone else, he's been extremely conflicted on all of this.

Spike's always wondered where he really came from, Spike may have been raised by Twilight for years now, and while he's always been happy to have her as a mother figure, he's never known who his real parents are. This was a hit in the stomach to him with what Sludge did, Spike's never even gotten a hint as to who Spike's mom and dad really are. He's never had a true answer to all of this, he's questioned it for so long now, he's started to think he may never get the answer to all of it.

Spike was laying in his room and felt depressed still about the whole thing, that may have been the only chance of him ever knowing his parents, and it was all a lie. While Smolder told Ember about what happened, and she gave him a huge beating for it, it still doesn't matter to what Spike feels now.

"Why was I left alone in those woods? Who are my parents? Was I left there for a reason? Or was I seen as a waste?" Spike asked himself while he looked out his window, he didn't know any reason for why he was left here, with Twilight, he never knew why. He's questioned it for so long now, he doesn't know if it'll ever be answered.

"What reason is there? Will I ever even meet them? Or will I never find out who they are?" Spike asked sadly while he just starred at the ceiling. This recent incident really affected Spike's mind with all of these questions, he never knew why, despite how grateful he is for all he has, from Twilight and everyone else, to the home he lives in, this one question hasn't left his mind, and he doesn't know if it ever will.

Spike kept thinking to himself like this for a while, so much so he didn't even notice the sun was setting, he just stared at the ceiling, for hours and wondered what the reason is. But as he kept thinking to himself, he heard a knock on his door, and it was soon opened by someone he's known for a while now.
"Hey Spike, you doing alright?" Smolder asked while she came to check on him, he hasn't been talking to them for a while now, and Smolder was getting worried about what's on his mind. Spike only sighed seeing her and sat up to talk.
"I'm.. okay.. I just have a lot on my mind.." Spike said sadly while she sat down next to him, she could see the reason why, and there's only one explanation for it.

"Your still hung up on what Sludge did, aren't you?" Smolder suggested which made Spike nod in response.

"Spike, that guy was just a jerk trying to take advantage of us, it became more clear he wasn't your father the longer we talked with him. What he did was truly selfish, I told Ember about what she did, and she managed to get back by beating the heck out of him when she found him. You shouldn't think about what he said, your stronger then that." Smolder advised while Spike only sighed again.

While Spike would like to believe this, it isn't what he said that got to his head, it's the fact of what it made him think that troubles him.
"It wasn't just what he said that bother's me Smolder, it's just the fact that he pretended to be my father, when I don't even know who my real parents are, despite all the time I've spent with Twilight, that question has always been in the back of my mind, and the one chance I had of possibly finding out who they are.. it was all a lie..." Spike said sadly which she felt awful for hearing.

"Spike, I know it's.. rough not having any parents, while I may have known mine.. they weren't exactly the best with raising me and my brother, at least my father wasn't. You should just be glad that you have Twilight, this almost destroyed what you had with her, and it's a miracle we found this out before it got worse. But you should just be glad that it wasn't anything worse then that." Smolder explained which Spike didn't really believe.

"How could it be worse then never knowing who my real parents are Smolder? As much as I love Twilight and everyone else, I still never knew who my real family was, how to be a dragon, how we're different from the ponies then just being selfish brutes. The only reason your here in the first place is because Ember made you go to the school to make friends, are the dragons in Equestria really so bad, they had to be forced to change? What kind of culture is that Smolder?" Spike pointed out which Smolder flinched at, as much as Smolder wanted to deny it, it was a true fact that Spike had the right to call out.

Smolder only sighed again and tried to figure a way around this.
"Maybe there's a reason Spike, as much as I agree with you saying that are kind are.. not nearly as well developed as the ponies, I can't say that dragons don't raise they're kids as well as they can, they still care about what they have Spike. I'm sure your parents did too." Smolder encouraged which just made Spike question some more stuff.

"Then why was I hatched by Twilight? Why was I given to her as a science experiment for hatching a dragon egg? I don't know how Celestia found my egg, we don't even know if it WAS found, it was never explained how she found it, and if even she doesn't know where I came from.. what good is there to me ever finding it out?" Spike asked again which Smolder was worried by, she's never seen him act like this, but given how he's feeling right now, it could make sense.

"So your saying it was never said how they got your egg? You sure they didn't get it through... other means?" Smolder asked while she was getting a bit suspicious of this now, but Spike only shook that off.

"No, Celestia would never do that, she's the ruler Smolder, she wouldn't want to risk causing a lot of trouble with our kind and ponies just to get an egg. There's just got to be a reason, why I was left alone.." Spike said regretfully while he looked out the window.

"Spike.. I know it's rough, but we should just be grateful for what we have, we can't have everything in life Spike. Sometimes we'll have to choose whether or not we should focus on one thing or another. It's a lot going through your head I know, but I know that it'll get better over time. Even if we.. never find out who your parents are, it's best to be grateful for what we have, okay?" Smolder asked while she patted his shoulder, and Spike only sighed at that in response.

"I.. guess.. thanks for trying to help me Smolder, out of all the dragons I've met.. you and Ember are the only friends I have, I just wish there was more to our culture then what I've seen.." Spike said sadly which Smolder could agree with.

"I know Spike, but hopefully we'll get better in the future with Ember ruling over. I know we'll find an answer soon, but let's just be glad for what we got now. You need anything before I go Spike?" Smolder asked while Spike layed down in his bed again.

"I'm fine for now Smolder, thanks for the talk. I'll see you later alright?" Spike asked while she began to leave, she was worried with how Spike feels about this, but wanted to leave it alone for now.

"See you later, goodnight Spike." Smolder said as she finally left him alone.

Spike sighed sadly again and looked up at the ceiling, even after that nice talk with her, Spike's thoughts about his parents won't go away now, he doesn't know where he came from or who his mom or dad are, as much as he loves everyone here, he doesn't know if he'll feel whole until he finally knows who he is, Spike's felt like he's been on the sidelines long enough by now, and maybe.. it's time he starts finding his own path.
"Maybe I need to find the answers myself.." Spike told himself as he tried to sleep the night away, while he still had a lot to think right now, maybe it's time he forges his own path, even if it's without Twilight or anyone else..

We open to a shot of what looks like a completely different land, far, far away from Equestria, there were tons of ancient stone structures carved into the ground, forging tunnels and other paths that look like homes for other people. There were multiple dragonfly's seen flying around the place, but one specific purple dragonfly is seen flying up to a higher ledge. It flies through a small tunnel through an open window, and it carefully fly's down the halls until it enters a small, isolated room. But in this room, was a strange large figure wearing a coat that completely covered the body, the figure is seen writing a letter of sorts and is looking out the window for any signs of a threat.

The dragonfly from earlier flies up to the figure, and is wondering what's wrong.
"You didn't run into any trouble, did you Simon?" The figure asked while the voice sounded female, the dragonfly only nodded respectfully in response and she sighed in relief from that.

"Good, I've gone through enough trouble to get what I need, as much as I love this place, there's one thing I care about more then anything else, my child." The figure said with guilt while she continued writing the letter, the dragonfly called Simon only flew up besides her, and he peaked under her hood to see a large purple scaled dragon with green eyes..

"I can only imagine what my child thinks of me by this point, with how long we've been separated, it's hard for me not to believe he doesn't want to meet me anymore.. but.. I have to hold out hope.." She said hopefully while she took out a small vile with a strange green liquid in it. Her hands glow a bit and she seems to be pouring some strange magic into it.

"If this doesn't reach my child, nothing will. But if the spell is right, it'll appear right where he is, so he can hopefully finally get a clue as to where I am." She said while she put it on a desk and continued writing something.

Simon had a look of worry with how she's doing this, she's been so bent on doing this for a while, she's barely seen the sunlight outside the window. Simon spoke to her in a language only she could understand, and she only sighed with what he's saying.
"I know what I've done is.. unhealthy Simon, but this is my child we're talking about here. It's.. my fault I lost him in the first place, I just.. need to fix my mistake, while my magic only works on smaller things, I haven't fully mastered what my spells can do. I just hope that this one works.." She prayed while she finished with the letter, she took the vile and quickly put it on the paper, before she carefully rolled it up and put a small strap on it to keep it from falling out.

"That evil sorceress has done too much to our kind at this point Simon, if I didn't do what I did, my child wouldn't even be alive. As much as I wish to take her down myself, I'm not strong enough yet. But if the story's of the Purple Dragon are true on the other side of this world, hopefully my child will meet him soon." She said hopefully while she took out a bottle and put the letter inside it.

The dragonfly was curious on what she meant, since.. well.. she's purple too.
"The Purple Dragon may be rarely born, but for me.. I was lucky, I know it may cause some concern with there being 2 purple dragons here, but I need to let my child know where I am. He needs to know where he really came from, even if it's been nearly 13 years by now.." She said with guilt while she held the bottle in her claw, and she then started to perform a special chant.

"Wherever my child is, this letter will find him, it's all thanks to our blood connection and my magic. This letter will reach my child, no matter how far, he is, or what world he's in. It. Will. Find him." She said seriously while she started to chant in a special language Simon couldn't understand. The bottle suddenly began to glow a bright green, and the figure seemed to breath a small bit of green fire around it, the fire swirled around the bottle and it began floating in the air. They both watched as it floated in the air before a few more moments, before it completely vanished before they're eyes.

"It worked. The path is set. Wherever my child is, it will find him." She said seriously while she started to stand up.

Simon flew right next to her and she turned to him so she can tell him something else.
"Once my child arrives in this world, I beg you to keep him safe, you've been with me since I was a hatchling, but now it's time you move onto the next child, but just know, we'll still be family, no matter what, do you understand this Simon?" She asked sternly which made Simon nod in complete understanding.

"Good, you'd best head to the other side now to find him, if my thoughts are right, he will meet the purple dragon at one point, and you need to be there." She instructed just before the place suddenly began to shake, she growled at the feeling of this and went over and started drawing a symbol on the wall.

"We can't keep hiding forever, I've got many secret spots around the lands, when you find my son, take him to them, they'll be the next step to finding me. But you need to go before they get you, now!" She ordered which Simon was sad to hear, but he understood and began flying away through the window again.

The dragon sighed and quickly finished up the rest of the symbol which now resembled a dragon, she picked off a small scale on her and she placed it in the center.
"Please find me soon my child." She prayed while she held out her hands and they began to glow a bright green, the symbol began glowing brightly too and it's magic was strong enough that it was able to create a portal large enough for her. She was about to head through it, but the shaking was getting more violent and she knew who this was.

"I swear, one day I will get you back for what you did to my mate you sorceress.." She said with hatred before she quickly ran into the portal and it disappeared instantly, as well as the symbol. The place still shook a bit more before something burst through it, and the entire place starts to collapse..

We now open to another shot of Equestria as the sun was rising once again, it's light shone over all of Ponyville and Twilight's castle, some small lights were seen turning on in the village, and the camera zooms into the castle to see Spike's room once again. Spike was still sleeping soundly after last night, he didn't feel bothered at all in the slightest, but the rays of the sun soon shone on his face, and he groaned as he started to wake up from them.
"Did I forget to shut the curtains on my window again?" Spike asked himself while he started opening his eyes, Spike groaned tiredly and he tried getting out of bed.

"Hopefully Twilight won't have fallen asleep in the library again.." Spike said to himself while he was about to head out to find her.

But before Spike could reach the door, Spike suddenly felt a pain in his stomach, Spike groaned again and held it close.
"What? Did I eat something bad?" Spike asked himself as he felt sick to his stomach, he felt something coming from his mouth and had an idea what it was, and out of nowhere, he suddenly made a loud burp which shot out some fire as a result. Spike took heavy breaths and wondered what that was.

"What was.. that about?" Spike asked while he rubbed his head. But the small sound of clanking could be heard which caught his attention, and to his surprise, he saw a small letter in a bottle roll over to him which was shocking.

"Did.. Celestia send me another letter? Why at the literal crack of dawn?" Spike asked a bit upset by that.

Not wanting that question to remain unanswered, he simply picked and took out the small cork on the top. Spike pulled the letter out of the bottle and undid a strap to it, but to Spike's surprise, a small vile with strange liquid suddenly fell into his hand as the thing opened up, and Spike had a look of surprise seeing that.
"What's this?" Spike asked while he looked at it, it was glowing in a strange green way that seemed different, he didn't know what this was, but he soon turned to the letter to read it. But what he saw.. shocked him completely.

"Dear child, if you get this, this means my letter finally reached you, after all this time. I know your wondering who I am right now, but I can't tell you how long I've waited for this, you may have never met me, but I never meant for you to be without me.. my child.." Spike reads as his voice starts to become more and more shocked with the more he read it.

"I know that's a bit of a stretch with what this says, but you must believe me.. I.. am your mother, I've sent this letter to you so you can find me, where I am is a place I cannot get to you by myself. I sent this letter to you so you could finally get the chance to meet me. This letter has a small potion I attached to it, it's a potion that will teleport you somewhere far away from where you are right now, a world of Dragons. A world where I was born.. and where you were meant to be born too.." Spike continued as he felt tears coming from his eyes from this.

"I know you and I have never met directly child, and I regret it deeply.. but you must know I didn't leave you alone without a reason, I care about you more then anything in the world. This letter was the only hope I had to finally meeting you, where I am right now, I'm in trouble, there's someone after me that's tried stopping me from contacting you. I went through a lot of trouble learning how to send this to you, but I hope that you get this. If you really believe that I am your mother.. your real mother, I beg of you, if you wish to find me, this potion I sent with you will send you to the world I am in, you will only be able to go by yourself, but I only ask if you still wish to meet me, please come find me. I am in the Dragon Realms, a world beyond where you are now, this potion is the only chance you have of coming here, to find me. If you really believe it's me child, please try to find me, I'm in hiding right now, but once you find me, I promise I'll explain everything to you. But if you don't.. I.. understand, just know no matter what happens, I love you so much.. and if this letter is the only thing you'll have of me.. I hope it lets you know, that I care for you.. more then anything else. If you wish to find me, I only wish you the best of luck.. I love you.. my child.." Spike finished as he finished the entire thing.

Spike had tears in his eyes after reading the whole thing, was it really true? Was this lesson from his mother? But.. why? How? Why did it take so long to reach him?
"Is this.. really true..?" Spike asked himself while he looked at the letter, he reread the thing to assure himself, and every word was real. Spike couldn't believe it, this letter was from his mother.. his real mother. While this could be just a sick prank, Spike had a feeling this wasn't. For so long he's questioned who his parents are, and this letter could finally hint at to who they are..

But that's when Spike looked at the other details, the letter said she was in hiding, but hiding from what? Was she in trouble? Is something after her? Did something separate them in the first place? Spike had so many questions running through his mind all at once, as this was a major discover from him.
He looked at the vile in his hand and thought over this, it said that this potion will take him to the world his mother's in, where Spike was meant to be born.. but it could only take him alone, and no one else. As much as he wanted to tell Twilight and everyone else, Spike has a worried feeling they couldn't believe it after the incident with Sludge just recently.

Spike thought long and hard over this, this was Spike's chance to go out there and find his mother, find out who he is. As much as Twilight and the other's have tried, they haven't' found anything on his parents, but this could be his only clue. As much as he loves Twilight, he can't deny the fact he's a bit jealous of what she and everyone else has done, she's saved Equestria so much by now, it makes Spike feel like he's on the sidelines more and more, he never had a proper chance to prove himself. But this letter gave him the chance, if he takes this, he'll get the chance he's wanted for so long, as much as he wants to tell everyone this, his mother could be in trouble, and no matter how long it's been.. Spike still wants to meet her. And Spike looked at the potion one last time, and got a serious look to himself.

We cut to Spike opening up his closet and was now gathering some supplies, if he was going to find his mother, he needed something to help him. Spike took a few Power Pony comics for entertainment, a few things of fruit for eating, and a small book for reading. He put them all in a small pack and tied it together, he knew he shouldn't leave without saying goodbye, so he took out a letter of his own and began to write something.

"Dear Twilight, if you get this, by now I'm probably long gone from Ponyville. I've had a lot on my mind after what happened with Sludge, and after all this thinking, I've had enough. You all have done so much to save Equestria, be seen as heroes with the other Mane 6, but for me, I barely feel like i've done anything, so that's why by the time you get this.. I'll be long gone.." Spike narrates while Spike is seen looking at the potion with a serious look, if what the letter said is true, then this is his chance to find his mom.

"As much as I like being a Number One Assistant, I feel like there's more to me I need to find out by myself. I'm going out to find my own calling Twilight, maybe finally find out who my real parents are, and where I came from. I hate to leave you like this without telling you anything, but I didn't want anything to hold me back from starting my own journey. And I'm sorry for it Twilight." Spike narrated with regret as Spike opens the top and looks at the drink, he takes one last moment to think if he should do this, he may not see Twilight, Smolder and Ember, or anyone else for a while. But if this is the chance he's finally wanted, he's gonna take it.

"I love you Twilight, no matter what you've done, I love you. But I need to go out and find things out for myself. I know you'll no doubt try to find me, but you need to have faith that I can handle myself, I've got my wings and enough knowledge to handle myself out there, the only thing I wish is that you and everyone else can trust me enough to be on my own. I promise I'll see you again one day, but that will be when I finally find my calling, you all have found yours, now it's time for me to prove my own worth." Spike continues as he looks at the potion one more time, before he finally decides to drink it, he takes in every last drop there is, and doesn't miss a single drop from it.

Spike gulps all of it down and sighs in relief from it, but not even 5 seconds after drinking it, Spike's body suddenly begins to glow brightly and he starts to float in the air, Spike feels a ton of magic flowing within him and around him, Spike's eyes suddenly glow brightly and he feels something happening.
"I'll.. see you soon Twilight, I promise I'll see you again one day.." Spike finishes before Spike's body suddenly vanishes with what he took with him, and the room is left completely empty. Not too long after he vanishes, a knock is heard on the door and it opens up once again.

"Spike? You alright? I heard a loud sound coming from here?" Twilight asked while she walked into the room, but she didn't hear an answer, instead, she saw only an empty room.

"Spike?" Twilight asked as she was starting to get worried, she looked around for any sign of him, but there wasn't anything that could help her find him.

"Spike? Where are you?" Twilight asked as she was now scared for his safety, but she soon saw a letter on the desk and got an idea it must be from him, she quickly picked it up and unrolled it, but the more she read it, it only made her more worried as a result.

"No.. no! I need to get everyone here!" Twilight said with fear while she quickly ran out of the room, wherever Spike's gone to now, Spike won't see Twilight and everyone else for a good while..

Author's Note

Hey guys thanks for reading this, and this is my new Spyro and Spike story, Spike will be going through the original trilogy like the plot states, I feel like Spike wanting to find his mom would work given this takes place after the incident with Sludge, and it would make sense with him feeling conflicted on it. I'll cut between the mane 6 and Spike pretty often, but for the next few chapters, i'm gonna try to have Spike adjust to the Dragon world, meet Spike's mother's dragonfly named Simon, and grow with Spyro as friends. I had some help from a friend of mine with this story and the ideas with it, and I'm really grateful for getting help for it. I just hope you liked this and look forward to more of it!

2: A New World

We open to a calm and beautiful shot in the world of dragons, and this specific location is known as the Artisans Homeworld, where most of the dragon residents live and go about they're day, it's all over a peaceful grass field which stretches over the whole area, and there were huge ancient temples that were made to help with many of the dragons with their daily lives. There were a few magical portals around the place, leading to different parts of the world, it was a beautiful place for any dragon to live in, there were some dragons flying over the skies and heading to different areas over the world, and all seemed peaceful.

But the camera pins down to a small hedge maze within the side of this world, and we see a familiar dragon had finally made his way to this world, he was knocked out cold after traveling so far, he was breathing slowly and calmly from how far he went, his travel pack was still on his back, and he hadn't lost anything when he left Equestria, so he had something on him at least.

But as he was passed out, something in the bushes was rustling not too far away from him, and we see a strange yellow dragonfly, followed by a purple dragon coming behind him.
"Found you Sparx! Clever place to hide here I'll admit, but you couldn't escape me!" The dragon said proudly while the dragonfly called Sparx rolled his eyes after losing they're little game again, this little dragon was known as Spyro, he's around 10 years old, and has been living in this world his whole life, he's always loved it here, but he's known to be a special purple dragon born every thousand years or so, and it makes him extremely important to keeping the worlds peace.

"That was a good game Sparx, you did take time to find, your getting better with each game buddy, looks like we both learn something from just a little fun huh?" Spyro asked while they were walking through the maze to find the way out, Sparx only nodded with a smile in response, and Spyro was glad to know he agreed.

"Can't wait for our next game then, but.. you know, things have been a bit boring around here hasn't it? I'm not complaining about all the peace or anything, but with no current threats to our home, no Gnasty Gnork or anything like that, we've only had very little to do." Spyro said as he looked a bit tired.

Sparx could see where he was coming from, despite them knowing eachother since Spyro was a hatchling, no matter how long it's been, they've rarely had to deal with any big threats. Sure the occasional egg thief was reported, but the larger dragons who live here have been able to take care of it pretty quickly. Spyro only shook his head again and kept looking ahead.
"I just hoped something interesting would happen now that I'm good enough handle fights by myself, all the training Nestor put me through certainly did do something, but what use is it if I can't actually.. you know fight?" Spyro asked a bit annoyed with how much time was wasted, but Sparx saw that as a good thing, it's best he's always repaired for any big threat that's to come in the future.

"I just wish there was something interesting that could happen you know? Anything that could help pass the..." Spyro was about to finish his sentence, but once they came into the center of the maze, they saw something that shocked them both completely.

There was another dragon directly in the center of the maze, a small.. purple dragon with green spines and it had a small pack on it's back, Spyro and Sparx were in complete shock of what they saw, Spyro was the only purple dragon known to be alive during this time, while many have been born before, it is a rarity that two would ever exist, and for this dragon to suddenly be here.. unconscious, it was something that concerned them both.
"Sparx.. isn't this.. another purple dragon?" Spyro asked surprised while they came to inspect him, he looked just a bit older then Spyro by a few years from the looks of it, he had small wings on his back that looked to be recently grown for some reason, and he had what looked like a small travel pack right next to him.

"How did this guy get here? Was he hurt? Or chased down here by someone?" Spyro asked worried for why he's knocked out here, Sparx only shook his head in response since he can't talk, and Spyro just looked at the dragon with worry.

While Spyro literally just wished for something interesting to happen, to have a 2nd purple dragon suddenly appear in this world was concerning, while Spyro saw he wasn't a threat from the looks of it, it's how he got here that was concerning.
"We should go get Nestor and have him see this guy, he may know what to do." Spyro suggested which Sparx saw was a good idea, and with that little idea, the two of them quickly made they're way out of the maze and headed to the large temple nearby to find Nestor.

Spyro quickly ran through the place and entered the temple, it was a huge and ancient place that was built as far back as the dragons earliest recorded history, many dragons are born and raised here to become they're own person, there's dozens of rooms all over the place, some had classrooms to help them with physics, art, math, etc. Some of them even had magic training for those who were willing to take in some extra challenge and become smarter then most, there's a lot of classes Spyro takes each day, and despite how much they can bore him with the little he learns each day, they're still important for him to learn and he'll have to take them into mind when the time is right.

Spyro kept making his way through the halls, passing by any dragon who only gave a respectful nod to him, Spyro nodded back and just kept moving, he was really well respected here thanks to his status, and only had to take the best classes during his childhood, while that may sound great to some, for Spyro, it just meant multiple days of nonstop teaching and learning, he's learned about almost every world that there is apart from the Artisans world, he knows they're history, how they operate, and what the dragons living there are like, some tend to prioritize magic to get things done, while other use brute strength, but the dragons of this world likes to keep a good balance, this place was the center for all dragons to learn and grow, and Spyro is just one of many dragons learning at this place.

But Spyro payed no attention to the other classes currently happening right now, he went to the library to find Nestor, he was one of the leaders of the dragons, and for this tribe, the leader of the Artisans dragons, he always had to keep up with his duty's, and a lot of what Spyro learned was thanks to him.

Spyro didn't take that much longer to enter the library of the place, it was a huge and open area with shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, books that could go into the thousands with how many there are, while a lot of them are mainly history and magic books, there were some made for other important lessons. Spyro made his way around another corner and saw Nestor like he predicted, he was a large light green dragon with large wings on his back, a satchel on his chest for extra tools, and mainly other important equipment he would need.

Spyro walked up to him which got Nestor's attention as he was reading another book, he quickly closed it and turned to him to see what he needs.
"Hello Spyro, what brings you here today? You need more lessons perhaps?" Nestor asked which Spyro quickly refused once he heard it.

"Uh, no nothing like that, really. There was just something I needed to tell you about." Spyro replied which was interesting to hear, Nestor always was a calm and reserved dragon, he rarely ever snapped and always kept his composure, but he often made sure to keep things in check around here.

"And what would that be? Is there a problem you heard about recently?" Nestor asked while they walked through the library, Spyro didn't know how exactly to explain it, while this was concerning with what he found, it may not be a problem.. hopefully.

"Eh.. not in the way you'd think, there's something I found near the hedge maze just outside the temple, I didn't know what to do, so I came to you to see what we can do?" Spyro explained which was interesting to hear.

"Interesting.. would you mind showing me what you found Spyro?" Nestor asked which Spyro quickly agreed to.
"Of course, follow me, it's not far." Spyro insisted while he and Sparx moved ahead to show him what they found.

Nestor followed the two out of the temple and he followed them to where they were going, Nestor always loved the peace around here, while he rarely had to fight, he's always training to be ready for any threat, all the teachers of the temple were extremely skilled in varied ways, it was to keep their home safe, as well as newborn hatchlings that come on the Year of the Dragon, he just hoped nothing would cause too much trouble, but if something like Gnasty Gnork started causing problems, he and the other leaders would need to deal with him.

Nestor followed Spyro and Sparx to the hedge maze like Spyro said, he was easily able to walk through it since he's large enough to be over the bushes while Spyro had to walk through the corners.
"So what was it you wanted to show me Spyro?" Nestor asked curious on what he found here.

"I think it's just up ahead, just hope I didn't imagine it." Spyro prayed while he turned another corner.

"Well then.. let's see what you found.." Nestor replied a bit concerned with what may be here.

But it didn't take long for Spyro to turn the last corner, and he went into the center like before, Nestor came out right behind him and looked down at him.
"It's right here, or should I say.. he's right here." Spyro explained as he motioned to something in the center, Nestor looked to where Spyro was and as soon as he saw it, his look turned to one of surprise with what they saw. It was another purple dragon.. like Spyro, one that looked very small, but also looked like he had experience in some ways. '

"What in the Ancestors name?" Nestor asked with surprise while he and Spyro looked down at him, the dragon was knocked out even after Spyro went to get Nestor, and he was worried if something harmed him on his way here.

"I know.. I found this guy when me and Sparx were playing hide and seek, I don't know how he got here, but once I saw him unconscious, I had to find someone to help. Do you know what we should do?" Spyro asked looking up at him.

Nestor looked down at the small child and didn't know what to do, a purple dragon is extremely rare in this world, and to see 2 here was worrying, while he didn't look to be a threat, he still was very young, and how he's knocked out was worrying to him.
"I.. do not know right now, perhaps we should take him to the nursery, when he wakes up, we'll try and find out more about him." Nestor suggested while he went to pick him up.

"Good idea, let's get him out of here before something else finds him." Spyro agreed while Nestor bent down to him, but right before he could grab him, the small dragon suddenly began to move and they heard a groan coming from him.

"I.. think he's waking up." Nestor said as they both backed up a bit.

"Let's hope he isn't hurt." Spyro prayed as they saw him beginning to move.

Spike groaned softly as he finally felt himself waking up after taking that potion, he didn't count on that having after affects when it came to it, but then again, he literally traveled to another world, far from Equestria, and depending on how far it is, the affects were bound to happen. Spike's eyes were slowly opening as he was coming too again, he didn't know how long he was out of it, but he had just hoped he made it to the world his mother said she was.

Spike felt his body twitching as he was finally getting up, he saw he was on a small grass field of sorts, and it didn't look to be outside the castle.
"Where.. am I?" Spike asked weakly while he tried standing up, he didn't know two other dragons were watching over him, and were concerned with how he's feeling right now, but Nestor decided he should see if he's okay, and he was the first one to speak up to get his attention.

"Are you alright there young one?" Nestor asked which got Spike's attention, Spike tried focusing his vision again to see where he was, Spike looked around and saw he looked to be in a hedge maze of sorts, a really nicely detailed one too, but he soon noticed two shadows right behind him, one big, one small, and once Spike turned around, he had a look of shock when he saw two other dragons looking right at him.

Spike didn't know what to do, he was a bit scared right now and didn't expect to be seen so soon, he'd at least try to keep himself hidden for a bit when he came here, but now that he's in front of two of them, he doesn't know what to say. Nestor saw the dragon was in shock of seeing them here, and he tried to help calm him down.
"I know you may be scared young one, but rest assured, we are not going to hurt you, do you know your name young one?" Nestor asked while he kneeled down to him so he could look him in the eyes. Spike saw this dragon didn't mean to harm him, it was a far difference from the other dragons he's known besides Smolder and Ember, and if he's like them, he probably should explain himself.

"My.. My name is Spike sir.." Spike said nervously while Spyro came up to him next.

"That's a nice name, my name's Spyro, and this is Nestor." Spyro introduced while Nestor stood up and towered over them.

"I hope you don't mind us asking you a few questions young one, we'd just like to ask you a few things to know what's going on, can you do that?" Nestor asked in a calm tone.

Spike saw his fears may be interfering with him finding out where he is, so he took a few deep breaths and calmed down before looking at them both and was ready for some questions.
"Okay, I can do that, sorry for.. any concerns I may be causing.." Spike apologized which already made Nestor see he was a kind one, so he just decided to go for some simple questions to help this move along.

"You don't have to worry.. Spike, now for the first question, where did you come from? How did you get here young one?" Nestor asked wondering what reason he's here, he may be from somewhere far away that could explain why he's a purple dragon.

Spike took a moment to remember the moment he was in right before he came here, he got that strange letter that came from someone who claimed to be his mom, and he took that potion which brought him here in the first place, and he took in that question and tried to explain it the best he can.
"I'm from.. Equestria, I came here after.. taking a teleportation potion.." Spike answered which interested them both.

"Equestria? I don't think I've heard a named that before.." Nestor said with interest hearing this.

"What do you mean teleportation potion? Sure we have magic here and stuff, but how could something bring you here if it's like that?" Spyro asked concerned with this while Sparx was concerned with him too. Spike remembered the potion he had in his pack, and quickly took it out to show them it, it was empty at this point, and only the vile remained from what's left of it.

Nestor slowly took it from him to inspect it, it looked like it was just enough for one person to drink, and whatever magic was in this thing, it must be strong to teleport a dragon like him here, and if that's the case, he has to wonder where.. his parents are.
"This is certainly interesting, but that comes to my next question, where are your parents child? Do you know your father or mother? Perhaps they'll be worried for you, or even a guardian?" Nestor asked turning back to him, Spike flinched a little being asked that, he didn't know if he should tell them about Twilight and the others, because while they're family to him, how they got his egg may concern them. But his question regarding his parents was the main thing, and not knowing who they are, Spike only sighed sadly being asked it after heavy thinking.

"I.. don't know who they are to be honest, that's.. why I came here, I was told there was a chance I can find my mother here, and this potion was the only thing that could bring me here.." Spike explained while he held it out to them.

This really surprised them both, to hear that this child was without his mother or father is something that rarely ever happens, even childs who don't know their parents were properly raised by other dragons, so to know he doesn't know them is worrying, but that's when Nestor took a closer look at him, while he was purple like Spyro, his type of dragon looks familiar to him, like he's seen someone like him before..
"May I ask how you found this out too child? How were you able to find out about this place if you don't have parents?" Nestor asked again with Spyro wanting to know as well.

Spike remembered he still had the letter that gave him the motivation to go here in the first place, and he quickly took it out to show them it.
"It was this letter, I got it before I came here, it came with the potion that brought me here, while I don't know if it's really from her, it claims to be from someone who claims to be my mom, but.. I just don't know if it's true.." Spike admitted while he let Nestor see it.

Nestor read every bit of the letter, from top to bottom, the more he read it, the more and more concerned for this child to got, if his mother is really out there, this letter is saying she's in trouble, but where is the real question. And if this potion came with the letter, she may have a gift in magic. But what also interests him is the fact that if this is true.. there may be another purple dragon out there, one like Spike, which may mean something important for everyone.
"This.. is concerning to hear, but did you have a guardian or a family to raise you at least? Why would you leave them if you found this out just now?" Nestor asked while he gave it back, while Spike was worried on how to explain this, he just kept the detail on them being ponies back for now.

"I.. did have a guardian and a family of my own, and while I was so glad to grow up with them.. recently, there was a dragon named Sludge who.. pretended to be my father, but he wasn't, he just used it to take advantage of our family's kindness, and it didn't take long for us to find out, and since I didn't even know who my parents were, I saw myself as an idiot for not seeing it sooner, and believe me, that guy was just.. the worst.." Spike said with irritation mentioning him.

This shocked both Spyro and Nestor to hear this, but Nestor's shock soon turned into what looked like rage, this was one of the worst things any dragon could ever do here, and if they were to do something like this, they would be banned from this land, and was never to come back, but as much as he tried keeping his composure, this one statement infuriated him to no end, and they both heard a loud growl come from him while he clutched his claws, right before...
"WHAT?!?!" Nestor shouted with fury which boomed through the entire Artisans world, the scream was so loud that it caused most birds to fly away from fear of how loud it was. Spyro was completely shocked with his outburst, he rarely ever showed anger, and while he already hates this.. Sludge guy from the sound of what he did, Nestor's reaction is far worse.

"This.. thing, tricked you into thinking he was your father?! What kind of selfish.. monster does that?!" Nestor asked furious with what he just heard, Spike was a bit scared again with how angry he looks, but he can see where he's coming from with this, and even Spyro was upset hearing that too.

"Where is he?! We'll be sure to teach him a lesson for it!" Spyro swore while Sparx was angry at that too.

Spike was really shocked they were willing to do this so suddenly despite just meeting him, but depending on how dragon kind does things around here, it's probably the worst act anyone could do. But Spike soon saw Nestor saw his rage, and he took some breaths to calm himself down, while he was still upset to hear this, he shouldn't go berserk just from hearing it.
"Forgive me.. I.. don't know what came over me there, while it is.. a huge crime for one to do that, some even sent to death depending on how badly they took advantage of others, if this is the reason why you came here in the first place, then it's a good reason for sure." Nestor said as he finally calmed down again, Spyro and Spike sighed in relief seeing him calm down, and Spyro turned to him with some worry.

"While that is.. awful to hear, all of this is saying that you simply came here.. so you can find your mother.. is that right?" Spyro asked making sure they knew what he's saying here.

"Y.. Yeah, i don't know where she could be, but I was just hoping that if I came here.. I could find out what really happened to me.. and how I ended up in Equestria in the first place." Spike said sadly.

Nestor took in those words to think of what to do, while it may be true that he's from another world, the reason for it sounded concerning, it made sense for this hatchling to want to find his mother after being tricked by that.. thing. And if this child's mother is around here somewhere, they need to find out where she is.
"Well then.. if this is all true, then I think it's best you come with us to the temple, I'll call the other leaders to the temple so we can discuss what to do about this, but I can tell by the end of this, you may have a new home to stay at young one." Nestor advised which surprised Spike with his sudden offer.

"Really? You'd.. let me stay here? But what if I cause any problems? I.. I don't know if it would be a good idea.." Spike said a bit nervous on what to do here.

Spyro didn't want this guy to worry about this so much, and even though they'll talk about it later, Spyro wanted to help calm him down a bit.
"It's alright kid, you won't have to worry about it, besides, things have been pretty boring here lately, so maybe with you here, we can finally start doing something more important." Spyro assured which seemed to relieve Spike a bit.

"You two sure? I.. won't be a problem here?" Spike asked a bit nervous on it still.

"You have our word on it Spike, come with us, we have much to do, and if things go accordingly, I'd say you'll start learning classes here in just a week or so." Nestor advised while he was starting to walk out of the maze, and Spike and Spyro quickly followed behind to not lose him.

"Classes? What kind do you do here?" Spike asked looking to Spyro who made a little groan hearing it.

"Really boring ones in my opinion, but just lay low for a bit kid, we'll figure out what to do with this problem soon, alright?" Spyro asked while Sparx was right besides him.

"I sure hope so.." Spike said hopefully as they followed Nestor to the temple, while Spike may have just arrived here, this may be the spark of something interesting for both him, and Spyro because of it..

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I think having Spyro and Nestor being the first to find him would be good for introductions, while Spike still has stuff to explain, what he's told them is definitely something that would get the attention of him and the other world leaders, I'm gonna spend a few more chapters to help establish Spike's relationship with Spyro, and maybe even have Nestor be a father figure to Spike as he learns about this world, so I hope you look forward to it!

3: Spike's New Home

Spike continued to follow Nestor and Spyro through this new world he's found himself, Spike was in complete amazement of what he was seeing around the place, if this is a place where dragons live, they are far more advanced then anything Spike's seen in Equestria, it kinda put the dragons of Equestria to shame for what Spike's seeing.

There were tons of areas around the temple that led to multiple rooms, nursery's, what looked to be classes for younger dragons to learn how to be like one, some training grounds for others to practice in combat, some with magic, some with brute strength. Spike just looked around the place with amazement as he's never seen something like this, if his mother was born in this world, he only wish he knew about it sooner.

Spyro had noticed Spike was looking around the place still, and wanted to know a bit more about him, so he slowly walked up to him to start a little talk.
"You alright Spike? You seem lost in your thoughts?" Spyro asked which snapped him out of them, he had been focusing on what's around him, he almost forgot who he was following.

"I'm.. I'm fine, I just.. never thought I'd see a place like this, you grew up here?" Spike asked turning to him who looked around the place too.

"Yep, since I was born here, I've been looked after all the elders of the temple, and anything I've learned is thanks to them, while I've had to do nonstop classes and lessons, the breaks I do get occasionally give me time to rest, I know I'm a special Purple Dragon and all, but it doesn't hurt to rest you know?" Spyro asked which Spike agreed too.

"Yeah, I can agree with that, my guardian often had me work around our home to keep it tidied up, not that I minded of course. But I can agree that it's nice to get a break every once in a while." Spike said with a smile which Spyro was glad to hear from.

"You know.. I never thought there'd be another purple dragon out there besides me, I was always told I was special, but I just wish I didn't have to be pushed so hard, you know what that's like?" Spyro asked which Spike sadly didn't.

"No, but I had just about enough when that slimeball lied to my family, even if I had to leave them, once I got this letter.. I had to set out to find my mom.. if she was born here, and was said to be a purple dragon like you, then it gives me some hope that I can finally meet her one day, no matter how long it takes." Spike said seriously while Spyro got more upset hearing him being mentioned.

"I just have to ask, why would any dragon try to pretend to be your parent? If that were to happen here, they'd be either exiled, or thrown into a jail cell for life, it's.. one of the most awful things a dragon could do here." Spyro asked upset to know what happened to him.

"I.. don't know how to explain it, but, let me just tell you.. the dragons of my world.. aren't nearly as well developed as these ones are, they still act like overconfident brutes, taking things for themselves, and not thinking of how it affects others. And for me.. that was the last straw.. once I got one clue as to where my mother is.. I took it, and I don't want something like that to happen again." Spike said with a stern look, he's been wronged enough because of this, and now he's not gonna joke around anymore.

Nestor was listening to this as he was ahead of them, to hear that there are dragons where he lives, but aren't as civilized as they are is disappointing to hear, it seems they need a leader to properly rule them at one point, but that's for the future to decide.
"I am sorry to hear this from you child, but you don't have to worry about it now, once I discuss this with the other leaders, we'll decide how to tackle this new situation." Nestor assured while they walked besides him.

"I.. have to ask, what will happen if I'm.. gonna stay here? What do I do then?" Spike asked wondering how this will go.
"Well, for starters, we'll assign you some classes that suit you best, once your ready to face it, we'll start preparing you for being a real dragon in the future. As for your mother, we'll most likely send out search parties, if there are any signs that there is another purple dragon out there, it may be easier for us to find her." Nestor explained which Spike was interested to hear.

"I think I understand that, but what are these other leaders like? How do they handle leading they're clans?" Spike asked wondering how this goes.

"You'll find out soon enough, I sent them the message, they will arrive by noon. Then we will discuss what to do next." Nestor assured which surprised them with how quickly he sent the message.

Nestor soon led them both to a large room with 5 different golden chairs in the center around a large table, it was a huge room that looked to hold a meeting whenever there was one, there was a lot of gold textured walls around them, huge dragon statues in the center, and the floor was a well detailed stone pathway that led to multiple paths over the temple, it was truly an impressive design to say the least.
"What is this place?" Spike asked amazed with what he's saying.

"This is the meeting room, all the dragon clan leaders meet up here to discuss important matters, and for this one, you are an important matter, we've been doing this for thousands of years, and no matter how long time passes, we'll always keep our legacy here." Nestor explained while he went to the large one in the middle, and Spyro and Spike could only wonder when the others are gonna get here.

"So.. you have to handle this every day mostly?" Spike asked looking at Spyro who nodded in response.

"Yep, welcome to the Dragon World Spike." Spyro joked which Sparx chuckled at, Spike chuckled a bit nervously and could only hope how this meeting with him is gonna go.

Spike had went to the wall and waited for what felt like an hour for this meeting to start, he felt really bored with how he had nothing to do but think, and think he did. This was gonna be the start of a new life for him if all is properly handled, since Spike's a purple dragon, and they're said to be special here, Spike could have some important classes given to him if he starts living here, maybe he'll learn alongside Spyro so they don't get bored of what they learn, but that's honestly what Spike wants to know the most, this world feels so much more ancient then even Equestria does, with how much the dragons have evolved, they must have a expanded history that even Equestria's Dragon Lords would, it was a lot to take in, but if it's one step closer to finding his mother, he's gonna take every step of the way.

Spyro had almost fallen asleep after all this waiting, he had been so bored of waiting he was willing to do anything at this point, but the sound of a door open finally snapped him out of it and he had a little surprised look from it.
"Wha? How long was I out?" Spyro asked turning to Sparx who only held up 1 finger to represent an hour.

"At least something's finally happening." Spyro said with relief while they all turned to the doors.

They saw 4 other large dragons enter the room, they all were just as large as Nestor, and had a lot of important looking gear that helped them stand out from eachother, Nestor smiled seeing them all arrive, and walked over to them to greet them.
"Greetings my friends, I am sorry for summoning you here so suddenly, but there's an important matter we need to talk about. I take it your all handling it well back in your worlds?" Nestor greeted while they shook claws with eachother.

"Everything's been peaceful Nestor, nothing to report right now." One of them known as Titan replied, he was an orange scaled dragon who looked extremely muscular, he had an axe for a weapon, a red scarf around his neck, and had some armor plating for protection.

"Our dragons have been learning they're spells well Nestor, all of them learning swiftly." Another one known as Cosmos replied as well, he had dark green scales, had a staff as a weapon that looked to use magic, and he had golden armor as well.

"What was it that you had to summon us here Nestor? Was it a threat that's been reported? Or more egg thieves perhaps?" Another one known as Bruno asked as well, he had an wooden helmet on him and carried a staff as a weapon too, he looked swift and fast when it comes to fighting, and Spike was just amazed with how much variety there was here.

"Is there something that troubles you Nestor? I sense a small problem coming from you." The last one known as Lateef asked, he was a dark blue scaled dragon who had a golden necklace around him, he balanced himself on his tail like he was meditating, how he gets around is something that Spike will find out later hopefully.

Nestor smiled at the sight of all his other clan leaders, they all had kept peace within the Dragon World for as long as they've lived, they've known eachother since childhood, and have grown up ruling side by side together, but moving away from that, Nestor had to get back to the main task at hand.
"No, there isn't any major problem, but there is something we must discuss." Nestor announced which got all of their attention.

"And what would that be Nestor?" Bruno asked worried of what it is.

"We.. have a surprise.. guest that appeared before us today.." Nestor said with a nervous look as he finally turned to Spike, this finally got them to turn to him, and they all were in pure shock of seeing another purple dragon was here.

Spike had a nervous look as they all looked at him with surprise, and they had the right too, but he hopes nothing goes south.
"Nestor.. who is this?" Titan asked coming closer to Spike, he didn't look upset or anything, just wanting to get a closer inspection of him.

"This is Spike, he was found by Spyro just this morning, after some questions I asked him, we learned of some.. interesting things from him." Nestor answered while the clan leaders all were around Spike and were fascinated with him.

"How can.. another purple dragon be here? Only one being born is a rarity, but two of them being here.. that's.. fascinating.." Cosmos said amazed at the sight of him being here.

"You look young, but have some important knowledge I can tell, I am Titan, leader of the Peace keepers." Titan introduced while Spike was nervous on what to do.

"N.. nice to meet you all.. sorry for appearing so sudden.. but I came here for an important reason I promise you that." Spike assured which was interesting for them to hear.

Nestor didn't want Spike to be overwhelmed right now, and politely went in between the other leaders to give him some space.
"Please let him properly process this, it's a lot for him being here as it is, we shouldn't overwhelm him." Nestor advised which they could see right now.

"Right, forgive us young dragon." Lateef apologized while Spyro was walking to them as well, it was always interesting seeing these 5 in one place, and only wished to help them as well.

"I know it's a lot to see another purple dragon other then me here, but I can already see he can be trusted, I'm sure once you know everything, we'll be able to figure out what to do." Spyro assured as well which they agreed too.

"Right, now why don't we get down to business shall we?" Bruno asked while he only balanced himself on his staff.

Spike saw there was a lot to explain to these guys, but if he's gonna live here, find out where his mother is, he's gonna need to explain this to all the clan leaders.
"Alright, let's get started, Spike, I hope you don't mind me showing them that letter, it's an important thing we all need to see." Nestor asked while Spike was taking it out, he was gonna be as respectful as he could here, and didn't want to make himself look bad.

"Don't worry, I'll answer any question you guys have, but to answer how I got here, this letter will help all of you." Spike replied while giving it to them, Nestor took the letter again and showed it to all of them, they were all fascinated with this letter, and with all of them ready, Nestor began reading out loud on what the letter said again.

Spike and Spyro just stood there and listened with a sad look the more Nestor read the letter, this was the first clue Spike got as to where his mom could be, even though he's practically a stranger to them, if they know anything about his mother, it will tie into this mystery. Each leader had different reactions the more Nestor read this letter, some were fascinated knowing Spike's from a different world beyond the ones they lead, some were worried hearing that Spike's mother had requested for his help, and some wondered if it was magic she used to send this to him.

Nestor kept reading the letter until it was all done, and he soon looked at them all again with a stern look, each of them were concerned with what they just learned, and if this is true, then there's someone out there that needs help.
"This is all the letter says, and if everything's correct, then Spike here had traveled to this world to find his mother, she's most likely a magic user if she was able to send this to him, but the concern of where she is is the main question for all of us." Nestor explained while he handed Spike the letter again.

"This is.. fascinating, I haven't heard reports of another purple dragon other then Spyro being around, but if this is true, then there are possibly 3 in this world." Lateef suggested while he was trying to process what they knew.

"And if that's the case, then whoever this child's mother is, she's in trouble, she could be in grave danger in fact, so if she needed to send a letter to her son, it gives us further reason for concern." Titan replied while he held out his axe.

"But where she is, is the biggest question we have, if she's in trouble, she needs help." Bruno said as he looked eager for a little fight.

"To know there's another world besides the ones we live in, this.. Equestria, it's fascinating to know." Cosmos said with interest knowing this.

Spike knew they all were conflicted on what to do here, and tried to help out in what to do here.
"I.. know it's a lot to take in you guys, but it's all true, I'm from a world called Equestria, it may be far beyond this world which is why my mom couldn't get to me, but despite how much this worry's me, I need to find out where she is.. even if I had to leave my guardian behind, it was so she wouldn't get hurt, I've never been to a world like this before, but I already can see just how much history this world has, and it amazes me with what dragons are able to do here." Spike said to all of them who felt a bit prideful for hearing that.

"I have to ask though Spike, why didn't you bring your guardian with you? Did you at least tell her where your going?" Bruno asked worried for her freaking out.

"I only told her from a letter I left that I was heading out on my own, I don't think she would've believed it if I said that my mother's in a world of dragons, and the reason why she couldn't come with me, it was because.. the potion I took only was enough for one person, and I had to go it alone." Spike explained while he gave Bruno the vile that once had the potion he drank.

Bruno took a close look at it and was curious with how it would work, but Cosmos took a closer look at it too to see what spell she could've used.
"If this is true then, your mother has a gift with magic, while it may not have been strong enough to bring her to your world, it may have been just enough for you, I know magic better then any other dragon here, and I can say for certain there are certain spells that can work on something like this." Cosmos declared which interested them all.

"Then the next question is, why did you decide to go so suddenly? Were you not happy with the family you had already?" Titan asked next which was important to know, but Nestor was the one to answer this for them.

"You all.. might want to gather closely for this one.." Nestor advised while they all came closer to eachother.

Spike and Spyro only looked at eachother as Nestor explained the.. incident that drove this motivation in the first place, and to say they looked both shocked, and furious, was an understatement.
"Gentlemen.. would you excuse me for a moment?" Titan asked before he suddenly was leaving the room, the other leaders understood this and let him leave.

"What do you think is gonna happen once this is all said and done?" Spike whispered to Spyro while they waited for something to happen.

"Let's just hope it can help you." Spyro whispered back before a loud crash was suddenly heard followed by a really loud roar of rage, Spike expected something like this, and the other leaders didn't look happy about this at all as this was a huge crime for them. Titan had come back into the room and wiped off some stone he had on his armor, and turned back to the others.

"Sorry about that, but the hall is gonna need a large repair soon, I apologize for this, but I needed something to take out some steam on.." Titan said with a growl while they all sat down in the center on their chairs.

Spike stood besides Nestor with Spyro still besides him. After they all got proper answers on who Spike is and where he came from, now was time for some other discussions.
"So, with the evidence and the answers we have, I can conclude that Spike isn't a threat, and the reason he's here is to find his mother, if she's out there somewhere, we should start finding clues onto where she is." Nestor announced while the other leaders listened in

"Yes, I agree on that, but where she is remains to be answered, for now though, we must decide on how to handle two purple dragons being here, it may cause concern if we don't go through this properly." Titan advised which was important to discuss as well.

"Well, if this is all true then, I suggest we have this young dragon start attending school here to learn how this world works." Cosmos suggested which all the clan leaders agreed too.

"I already had ideas on what he can learn, since Spike's still new here I think it's best we start teaching him the basics of how our world functions, and how he chooses to follow his path is for him to choose, we are only to help lay it out for him. " Nestor advised while everyone kept listening on.

Spike kept listening to all of them talk about how he's gonna handle living here, and if Spike really is gonna be living here, there's a lot to learn, knowing how much he's gonna have to do here, he needs to listen to all he's gonna be doing.
"But what if some of our enemy's learn of him? What if someone like Gnasty Gnork try to attack us?" Titan asked worried for the news of 2 purple dragons breaking out.

"He won't be a problem to us, while he has strong magic, when we're done teaching Spike how we do things here, he'll be more then capable of defending himself. I will start assigning classes for Spike to take, from magic classes, to his combat training, and assigning him a dragonfly to watch over him. I will have Spyro be alongside him for this, I feel like they will both be able to handle eachother when together, is that alright with you two?" Nestor asked turning to them both, Spyro had an eager look on him and already liked the sound of it.

"Sure thing! I'll be sure to show him the ropes around here!" Spyro assured which Spike chuckled at, to think they all agree with him learning stuff here so soon is surprising, but he's glad there's no one who sees him as a threat.

"I'll.. look forward to it, I'm sorry for the sudden problem for all of you, but I just hope I can prove to all of you I can help here." Spike promised which they all could understand.

Nestor had stood up from his chair again while the others were getting up as well so they can conclude this meeting.
"Do not be worried Spike, while it's a lot for a child like you to take in I'm sure, I promise it'll be good for you to learn about our kind here, especially given what I know about dragons back in your world." Nestor assured as well which Spike smiled at.

"Thanks Nestor, I don't know how to thank you all for this, I just hope nothing bad comes from this, and I'll do the best I can here." Spike replied while they all were beginning to leave.

"We look forward to teaching you what our world has to offer young one, we will send out search parties for any signs of another purple dragon being out there, once we get some news, we'll figure out what to do with finding your mother kid." Titan assured too which was good to hear.

" I look forward to it, thanks so much for helping me, I didn't think I'd have so much attention upon just arriving here." Spike said gratefully with what's happening.

"It's alright kid, soon you'll learn how everything works here, and we all have something more interesting here too, let's just be glad for that." Nestor replied as they all walked through the halls together.

After that meeting was concluded, Spike was taken to another part of the temple so he could get started on his new life here, Nestor had opened up a door for them and was showing Spike where he's gonna stay, Spyro was right besides him so he can help Spike adjust living here.
"This will be your room Spike, you will be able to relax here as much as you'd like, your classes will begin once I properly assign them, I'd say they'll start around next week if things go accordingly, until then, I hope you find this place to your liking." Nestor explained while Spike walked into the room and looked around it. It was a pretty large room for Spike to live in, there was a large bed besides the window which was even larger then the one he had back in Twilight's castle, there was a desk and some book shelves next to it for studying, and some crystals on the walls for light, the walls were painted white and blue to for style, and there were some golden carvings on the wall and floors for style, it was a really nice room, while not as nice as the one he used to have, he already liked this place a lot.

"Thank you Nestor, I'm so glad we're able to work this out, I promise I'll be a good student when living here, I won't let you down." Spike promised while he went over to his bed to rest.

"I know you won't Spike, there's a lot we have to do, so let's take the time we have to rest, I hope you have a nice night Spike, and i will talk with you tomorrow." Nestor replied before he began to leave.

Spike sighed in relief after this whole day, looking out the window, he could see a view of the ocean near a small beach outside the window, the sun had set by now and it was nighttime, he only wondered if time flows faster or slower, or flows the same in this world like it does with Equestria.
"Pretty big day for you, huh Spike?" Spyro asked while he and Sparx were able to talk with him now. Spike sighed at that and layed down on the bed he had now.

"Yeah, it's a lot to take in, honestly didn't expect so much to happen this fast, but as long as I'm not a problem to the other clan leaders, I'm just glad to be able to rest.." Spike said relieved with all this.

"Tell me about it, I gotta say, I'm honestly glad that you'll be here, because I'll have someone new to learn with when taking my classes, who knows, maybe if you'd like it, we can go out and have more fun out there?" Spyro offered which Spike liked the sound of.

"Yeah, I'd like that, the more I learn about this world, the closer I'll get to finding my mom, and learning how to handle myself here, I just hope it all goes well.." Spike prayed while he looked up at the ceiling.

Spyro was concerned with his thoughts on his mom, and wanted to ask a few more things before he left.
"Do you.. think we'll be able to find her? Will she be okay if we do find her?" Spyro suddenly asked which worried Spike hearing it too, while Spike's mother said she's in trouble from the letter, if she was able to send it to him, there's still a chance they can find her.

"I really hope I do, I spent so long not even knowing if she's alive, to have this chance means to much to me, I just hope this isn't a sick prank, otherwise I had just brought myself to another world without any way of getting home, but I just hope there's something for me here.." Spike said while he turned to Spyro, Sparx was glowing brightly to help them see here, and it was a cool detail.

"Don't worry buddy, I'll stick out for you while your here, I just hope we'll be able to help you, and whatever you learn here, it only makes things more fun for us both, I hope you can handle it here Spike." Spyro said hopefully while Spike smiled knowing that.

"Thanks, I think it'll be a fun time here, I hope we'll handle things well starting tomorrow." Spike prayed while Spyro saw it was time to go to sleep, so he began heading out to let him rest.

"I hope so too, good night Spike, hope you like it here." Spyro concluded before he and Sparx left him alone to rest. Spike sighed again and looked up at the ceiling, while he's gonna be living here now, he just hopes he can find his mother soon, and nothing bad happens to her.

"Welcome to the Dragon World, Spike..." Spike told himself before he fell asleep in this new world, he just hopes whatever comes next, what he learns here, will only help him grow as his own dragon..

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I think having Spike gaining the trust of the other clan leaders can work given the evidence and answers they have, while it still can be questioned whether or not this is true, I feel like they all can believe this considering there's a 2nd Purple Dragon here, I'll do a couple more chapters that have Spike learn more about the Dragon world and properly learning some stuff. Also i'd like to give a quick shoutout to SpikeSmolder Fan for helping me find the cover art, it's really cool and I like this a lot! 4: Adjusting

Spike slept the night away in this new world he's found himself in, he tried sleeping the best he could with what he's had to think about now that he's here, he was really surprised the other dragon leaders are alright with him staying here, but he's also glad that they are, because it will give him ways to learn about this world and it's culture.

Spike's been here less then a day, and he already can see just how much more culture the dragons of this world have compared to Equestria, sure his kind has the history of the Dragon Lords and all, but Spike hasn't had much teachings about them either, as well as the fact most dragons are mainly brutes, compared to what the dragons of this world look to be more interested in, with magic, studying spells, and they're own legends that Spike's interested with hearing.

Though despite all he's eager to learn about, he still has one goal he has here, it's to find out who and where his mother is. While he's glad to have the support, and is more then happy to make friends here, this is the main question in his mind, and he just hopes there's something to this answer when he finally finds her.

The sun had risen in the Artisans world the next day once again, most dragons were starting to get up pretty early just around 7 in the morning, Spike was still sleeping in his new room to rest, but he didn't have long to sleep until he felt the sun hit his eyes. Spike groaned a little and started to wake up finally, he slept pretty well all things considered, but he still has to adjust to where he is now.

Spike yawned tiredly and got his bearings, he thought it was all a dream still and that he's still back home, but the moment he saw he was in this Dragon temple still, he sighed in relief knowing it's all real, and he doesn't have Twilight or his other friends here either...

"I really am on my own here.. " Spike said with a bit of guilt, he wished he could've told Twilight, Smolder or Ember about this, but the potion he had was a one way ticket, and only he could take it, while he hoped maybe they don't freak out with him suddenly being gone, he has a feeling they're gonna try and find a way to reach him.

"At least I'll have time to learn to be a dragon here.." Spike told himself tiredly while he was getting out of his bed, he really liked how nice his room was, it wasn't like the one he had at the castle, but he prefers the more simple things it has to it.

Spike was pretty interested in what he's gonna learn today, this is his first day in this Dragon Realm he came too, while he did come here to find his mom, he was also interested to know what kind of history that the dragons here have, and how things work around here.
"Maybe a little walk could help me wake up.." Spike said a bit tired still while he started to leave his room, Spike opened up his door and started making his way through the halls to better understand where he is right now.

While Spike thought this temple was really amazing from when he first saw it, after a while of walking and seeing all there is to the place, Spike was just more amazed with it all. Spike could see dozens of classrooms that looked to teach younger dragons about this world and history, as well as other talents they could be into like fighting, cooking, art, or magic, it really interested Spike with knowing how much more culture the dragons have here, and what more there could be to this world.
"Ember would be jealous of this place.. that's for sure.." Spike told himself while he kept looking around.

Spike still had a lot to think about how he's gonna handle himself here, he's completely alone in this situation, he doesn't have Twilight, Ember or any of his friends to help, this was a one way trip to a new life basically, and now that Spike's here, he just doesn't know how to properly do this.
"Maybe I should've taken a bit more time to prepare.." Spike told himself while he walked through the halls, but after passing by the library, he noticed someone else was inside it.

Spike carefully peaks into the door and sees Nestor was doing more research, Spike was surprised with him being here so soon, but this may be a usual thing him. Spike thought it would be best to have a little talk with him, and hoped he didn't mind him being here so early.
"Um.. Nestor, you alright?" Spike asked while he opened the door and went into the room.

Nestor was a bit surprised hearing Spike so suddenly, but once he saw Spike was entering the place, he calmed down a bit and closed the book he was currently reading.
"Ah, hello Spike, forgive me I was just doing some research again, I'm surprised your up so early, but I take it you at least slept well?" Nestor asked hopefully while they walked up to eachother.

Spike took a close reflection on how he did feel right now, and despite his worry's on what'll happen in the future, he's feeling a bit confident it'll all be alright here.
"I slept fine, I just had a lot to think about with what's happening right now, I'm still trying to get used to things around here, but I'm sure it'll be fine eventually." Spike replied while he looked around the large library.

This place was just as big as Twilight's library in her own castle, there looked to be tons of books that involve the dragons history, what they learn here, and how this world functions. Nestor noticed Spike looking at all the books around here, and got an idea on what he was thinking.
"Your interested in what our world is like aren't you? I can understand it, after all, if what you said is really true, then this Equestria you came from may not have the most.. interesting history with dragons, doesn't it?" Nestor asked while he went to pick a certain book Spike can read to understand things.

"I.. guess you can say that, it's mainly due to how different everything looks here, meeting the other leaders yesterday made me think of just what else there is here, and if some dragons can learn magic here, that's something I'm definitely gonna wanna learn too." Spike replied with an eager look.

Nestor chuckled a bit at that and went to give Spike one of the books he got.
"There will be much to learn, I'm already starting to assign you classes to take, you will be with Spyro in most of them, but if your interested in magic learning, I know a few teachers who can help you with it. For the meantime, you should look into this book, it'll give you more detail about each tribe there is in this world, it'll help you adjust here better." Nestor advised while he handed Spike the book.

Spike looked at the cover and was pretty interested with what it showed, it looked pretty small for a book, but it's probably for smaller dragons to understand easier.
"Thanks, I'll look into this. You know.. if dragons can really learn magic here, do you think... my mother learned here at some point too? She must have some skill if she was able to send me the letter from a different world.. and now I can only wonder where she is now.." Spike said with worry for her safety.

"It's okay Spike, if there's any sighting of another purple dragon out there, we'll get a report in soon. Purple Dragons are extremely rare and special here Spike, they can have the chance to wield powerful magic, and be stronger then any dragon out there, but it can be risky, that power could risk corrupting them, even with how young you and Spyro are, we have to take caution with how we handle things here." Nestor said while they were leaving the halls together.

Spike was interested with hearing that, but he had a few more questions on how this can work here.
"But I was born and raised in Equestria, and I'm pretty sure there were more then a few purple dragons around the Dragon Lands whenever I was there, but if our history and this worlds history is really different, then doesn't that mean if my mother came from this world, I could possibly learn powerful spells too?" Spike asked curiously while looking at how she did this.

Nestor hummed in response and took a small moment to think over that.
"It's possible, even if you were raised somewhere else, if your mother was still born, and raised here like all other Purple Dragons, that means you and Spyro both have potential to learn unique spells very few can learn. We've been teaching Spyro the most advanced stuff we have so he can be prepared for the worst, he may be a Purple Dragon, but he's still young, I'd say you look older then him even, but it's all so we can make sure dragons like him, and you can handle yourselves when your on your own out there." Nestor explained as they could see the sun rising out the windows.

Spike looked outside and could see some dragons starting to wake up, either from lights coming on in they're homes, the sun shone over the horizon in the Artisans world, and Spike smiled as he saw such a beautiful sight.
"I really look forward to it then, to wake up every day to a beautiful sight like this, it makes me eager to know more of what's gonna happen here. Do you know when I'm gonna start taking classes at least?" Spike asked looking up at him again.

"If all goes well, I'd say by the start of next week or so, so you have a few days to adjust and take it easy here, if your gonna explore more of the Artisans world, you should at least have a map, or someone with you to make sure you don't get lost." Nestor answered while he handed Spike a map of this world, he saw a few glowing points on certain parts of the map, but from the looks of it, they looked to lead to the other worlds around this place.

Spike took a closer look at the letter for a few more moments before he put it away, he had a bit more understanding on what that meant, and held both the map and the book in his arm to keep them secure.
"Thanks Nestor, I'll look forward to learning here, I'm sorry for any trouble that I may cause, but I'm just trying to get used to all of this, but I'm sure it'll turn out well hopefully." Spike said with a smile which Nestor liked the sound of.

"I hope you like it here kid, we'll let you know if we see anything regarding your mother, but for now, you should take your time here, and when your classes start, there will be much to do." Nestor advised which made Spike nod his head in response.

"I understand, I'll see you later then Nestor, I need time to think." Spike replied while he started walking out of the temple, Nestor only gave him a respectful wave goodbye while Spike left, and Spike was left to see what more there was to this place.

Spike spent what felt like the next hour making his way around the place, he saw almost every inch of this area in the Artisans world, he could see some small houses outside temple that were made of stone, yet some homes were carved into caves and tunnels around the area, it really interested Spike with how much more civilized these dragons are, it only makes him jealous that the dragons aren't like this in his world.

But as Spike went around the place, reading his new book to understand the tribes better, a familiar purple dragonfly was seen flying around the place. It had emerged through another portal within the Artisans world, looking mostly tired after flying so much, it was being careful not to run into any larger creatures, but it was still set on one goal that his former owner told it.

The dragonfly flew around the area, searching for any signs of another purple dragon that looked like her, it searched through every main tunnel, even peaking into some houses for any signs of it. But it wasn't finding anything, but that's when he heard a voice talking to itself, the dragonfly quickly peaked behind another corner and saw someone very familiar walking back to the temple.

Spike was walking by himself and was reading the book Nestor gave him, he wanted to be at this best here, and this book did carry some interesting stuff he should know about this world.
"So if some dragons can learn magic here, then what spells could they learn here? If my mother was skilled in magic, she could've been able to teleport certain things around, but what about herself? And would that make me strong enough to do it too?" Spike asked himself while he kept reading his book, he learned quite a bit by just this book alone, and was fascinated with wanting to learn more.

The dragonfly's hopes had perked up the moment it saw Spike, it meant the spell worked, and it was able to be sent to her son. Not wasting another second, the dragonfly immediately flew up to Spike in hopes it can help him find her. Spike kept reading away at the book just until he heard a strange buzz sound come right next to him.
"What the?" Spike asked himself right until he saw a purple dragonfly fly past him, Spike had a look of surprise seeing this thing, it looked similar to Sparx in some areas, but it seemed larger, and it looked.. excited to see Spike here?

"Who are you? Are you lost little guy?" Spike asked it while the dragonfly flew around him, making sure this was real, the dragonfly only smiled a bit and felt relieved to see that he found Spike after days of searching. Spike didn't know what to do here, was it looking for it's owner? Given that Sparx is always with Spyro, this one must have an owner or something to look after it.

"Are you looking for your owner? Did you get seperated from them or something?" Spike asked the thing while it flew around and tried to find something to explain itself.

Spike sighed a bit and put the book he had away, now he had this problem to deal with, and he didn't know whether or not he should tell Nestor, or figure this out on his own.
"What am I gonna do with you here little guy?" Spike asked himself while the thing tried speaking to him, but Spike couldn't understand his language which just left things more confusing.

But that's when a familiar voice came out and greeted him, Spike recognized what that voice was and he turned around and saw Spyro was up already, and Sparx was right besides him as well.
"There you are Spike, I was looking all over for you, you alright?" Spyro greeted while he and Sparx came up to him.
Spike looked at the dragonfly next to him and didn't know how to explain things, but made sure to make it clear for them both.
"I'm fine right now, but I just met this strange dragonfly, I think he may be lost, you know any dragon who has a dragonfly like him?" Spike asked pointing at the guy.

Spyro and Sparx took a closer look at the thing and tried to see if it was or not. Sparx came up to the guy and started speaking with it in their own language, the other one introduced itself and tried explaining itself without giving too much info away. Once Sparx had enough info, it flew to Spyro and told him what that thing's doing here.
"His name is Simon? And he doesn't have an owner? That's.. an interesting case.." Spyro asked after hearing what they were talking about.

"Hold on, you can understand them?" Spike asked looking at Sparx, and the other one named Simon now.
Spyro smiled a bit proudly and explained a bit on how he knows that
"Yeah, dragonfly's have their own language here, I took a while to learn it myself, but now that I understand Sparx, it's easier for us to handle things when we're on our own." Spyro explained which surprised Spike once again.

Spike looked at Simon and was still curious on what it's doing here, but after looking at the thing closer, Spike started to feel.. something strange just from looking at it.
"You alright Spike? Is everything okay?" Spyro asked while Spike kept looking at Simon.
"Yeah, I'm fine it's just.. there's something familiar about this guy.. but I can't tell what.." Spike replied getting a closer look at him.

Simon could tell Spike could see a similar thing between him and his mother, and despite how much he wanted to tell him about her, he needs proper time to adjust here before he starts telling her the stuff he knows about her.
"Well, getting back to topic, I think Simon's taking a bit of a liking to you, and since it may not have an owner, it may be wanting to stick with you, I don't know about you Spike, but something tells me we should let it stay, it may be important for something else later on." Spyro suggested again.

Spike looked at Simon and thought over it, while it may be strange just to take this thing in, Spike feels himself liking the guy a bit too, and maybe Nestor wouldn't mind him having his own dragonfly, even if it's different compared to how dragons get they're own here, Simon looked to want to stick with him, and Spike got a strange feeling it would be best to do so.
"You know.. I think we should have him stay too, I honestly like him already, he seems fun." Spike said with a smile which Simon felt relieved to know.

Spyro and Spike looked at they're own dragonfly's and felt pretty great, Spike already could have his own dragonfly by now, and that was important for what can happen in the future.
"Wow, your only a day here, and yet you already got a dragonfly, something tells me it's gonna be interesting having you around buddy." Spyro said playfully while nudging his shoulder a bit.

Spike laughed a bit and looked at Simon who was right next to his shoulder by now, he already liked where it was going with having him as a new friend.
"I guess so, but I'm gonna have to learn more about speaking dragonfly too now, guess that's another thing I'm gonna have to learn. You have any advise how I can learn their language?" Spike asked while they were making they're way back to the temple.

"It's honestly pretty easy to learn, I'd say it would take a month or so to fully learn it, but I feel like you'll learn things pretty fast. But even then, we both will have a lot to learn about still." Spyro replied while looking a bit bored at the thought of it.

Spike smiled a bit again and chuckled just hearing how he said that, but Spike still has some stuff he needs to adjust too here, and maybe having a dragonfly will help with all of this too.
"Well, I can say that it's gonna be a lot, but maybe we can spend time outside of school to have some fun around here? You know any games or stuff we can do here?" Spike asked wondering what they do here.

Spyro perked up being asked that, and already thought of a ton of things that they could do here.
"Oh absolutely! There's a lot we can do here, come on, I'll show you some of the stuff we have, this is gonna be awesome!" Spyro said eagerly while he and Sparx flew ahead of them.

Spike laughed a bit again and looked at Simon again, he felt like this was the right call with taking Simon in, sure it will take some explaining with Nestor and all, but Spike has a good feeling about this by now.
"Let's see what they have here, you ready to go Simon?" Spike asked looking at him, Simon only nodded in response and felt glad to have finally found him, while Spike may not understand him fully now, hopefully in the future, he can explain things step by step to help him find his mother.
"Then let's get going little guy, we have a lot to learn here.." Spike declared before he ran after the two to catch up, Simon followed behind and hoped that wherever his owner was, she'll be alright until they find her..

Author's Note

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I'm trying to do what I can to flesh out how Spike is handling adjusting to living in a new world, I think I'm gonna do one more chapter that focuses on him learning about this world, and then I'll do an interlude with the mane 6 finding out he's gone, then the main games will start, going from the 1st to the 3rd one, with bits of Simon trying to help Spike find his mother happening during, and in between, especially in the last one.

Also side note, I've started to write things a bit differently now if you can tell, I'm gonna try making conversations feel properly paced instead of being crammed together a bit, while I still may do this with a few other story's I have, for story's like this, I'm gonna try and write it like this moving forward, please let me know of what you think of it, and hope you have a good day guys!

5: Flying Lessons

The first week Spike had spent in this new world had come and gone pretty fast to make things simple, while Spike was still interested with what this world had to offer, he hasn't gotten enough time to learn about it's history and culture, this world had far more advanced dragons then Equestria did, and from living here for just a week, Spike's seen how different and more civilized they are.

Spike had managed to introduced Simon to Nestor when Simon found him and Spyro last week, and after a little bit of talking, Nestor decided it was best for Spike to have a guardian dragonfly of his own, he may be just as young as Spyro, and he needs someone to look over him, so with that, Spike and Simon were now mainly together most of the time, he and Sparx has been getting along pretty well, and Spyro has started hanging out with Spike more often.

While it's been great living in this new world, Spike still wishes to find out what he can, and starting today, he's gonna start learning stuff that's important. It's the first real day of him going to school in this world, dragon school to be exact. It's gonna help him learn about each tribe in this world, and what they do, Spike's pretty eager to get this day going, and since he and Spyro are gonna be learning things together, it may be a fun way of learning things.

The sun was rising over the Artisans world once again, most dragons have already woken up and were looking to do their plans for today, most were already out and flying around, and some were going through portals to other realms beyond this one. And as the sun shines through Spike's room, Spike starts to wake up again after another night of rest.
"Ugh... is it morning already?" Spike asked tiredly as he was opening his eyes, he was gaining his focus again, and he soon found himself back in his new room, he's still surprised this is all real, and even when he's been living here for a week, he's still glad that he's allowed to stay in this place.

As Spike was waking up, he heard his new Dragonfly friend Simon wake up as well, he was getting up from a new mini house that they got for him, it's similar to what Sparx has when Spike saw Spyro's own room, and Simon looked eager to get the day going. He flew over to Spike and tried having him get up, Spike chuckled lightly seeing him and yawned a bit.
"Morning Simon, you ready for the first day of dragon school here?" Spike asked as he was rubbing his eyes.

Simon only had a happy smile on him and tried saying "Yes" In his language, Spike still hasn't properly learned how to speak Dragonfly yet, so hopefully this will be one of the things he's gonna do today.
"Glad to hear it, can't believe it's already been a week since I came to search for my mom.." Spike said as he was waking himself up, he looked out the window and saw the beautiful view of this world, and he sighed sadly while wondering what happened with his mom.

"I just wish there was any clue we could find her here buddy, she sounds like she needs my help, and even if I learn stuff here, she's still out there, alone.. and without me.." Spike said sadly while Simon looked down regretfully as well, despite how much he wanted to tell Spike the truth, they can't fully understand eachother yet, and they have to wait a bit longer until they can really start searching for her.

Simon only flew up besides Spike's shoulder, he noticed how similar he and his mother looked, they looked identical to eachother, and knowing Spike went so long without her just worries Simon.
"I still can't believe I'm actually here you know? I never thought I'd meet my mother, especially after that imposter lied to me and made me look like an idiot for it. I've had enough of being taken for a fool like that, and hopefully while I'm here.. I can prove that I can handle myself.. despite how much I love Twilight and my family, they tend to be overprotective at times, and I'm often just left home.. while they go on grand adventures, saving Equestria, and finding out.. what they're place in the world is.." Spike said to Simon who was interested with hearing that, but unknown to him, Spyro and Nestor were listening in from the other side after waking up too, and were concerned with Spike's thoughts on all of this.

"I just don't know if I'll be able to find her Simon.. even with the letter she sent me.. I don't know if I can believe it still.. she's been gone for so long.. It makes me question if she still cares for me.. even if she said it in the letter herself.." Spike said with guilt as he looked at the letter his mother gave to him, Simon sighed sadly hearing that from Spike, she was right on how Spike would feel with being away from her for so long, and it hurts to see it from him.

"I just.. don't know if this can work.. even with the other dragons looking for her.. what if.. she can't be found?" Spike asked himself, he was worried on what she would be like, and what's happened to her, Simon was worried too, even with the spots she's hiding in around this world, they can only keep her hidden for so long, and how she'll find Spike will be a question to be answered later.

After hearing enough of this talk, Nestor decided to lighten Spike's mood up with what he's gonna learn today. Nestor lightly knocked on Spike's door to know if Spike's ready for today.
"Spike? Are you awake? We're about to begin, you ready for school today?" Nestor asked from the other side which shook Spike out of his thoughts, he's spent a while thinking over this stuff, but now that he's here, he needs to focus on what's important here.

"I'm up Nestor, just finishing up! I'll be out in a sec!" Spike replied as he hopped off his bed, he put the letter he had in a small shelf for later, he then got a spare bag of supplies he could use for learning today, and Simon looked ready to go, Spike took a deep breath and looked outside to the new world he's in once again, and felt some sense of determination looking over it all.

"This is it, let's see what this world has to offer.." Spike said with confidence as he and Simon went out of his room, Spike opened up his door room, and was greeted with Nestor and Spyro who were waiting for him, Nestor smiled seeing Spike being prepared for today, and Spyro was glad he's still up for learning too.

"Good morning Spike, I take it your ready for your first lessons today?" Nestor greeted as he held another book in his arm again.

"Of course Nestor, sorry for the wait, I was just waking up, first day and all, there's a lot I need to get done, and I hope I'll be able to do well with what there is here." Spike answered with a smile which made them glad to hear.

"Don't worry buddy, we're taking things simple today, since your new to this world, Nestor decided it's best he helps you learn to fly around here, even if you have wings, it's best you get a hang on what each part of this land has, just to let you be aware of your surroundings." Spyro assured which made Spike eager to know that.

"Really? I'm gonna be seeing what's around here today?" Spike asked surprised while turning to Nestor.

"Yes, you are a new student, but you are also a purple dragon like Spyro, it's only important that you have the best lessons, while all of our students take they're preferred lessons based on certain thins like art, fighting and magic, your still small and need proper guidance, and I figured this would be the best start for your teachings." Nestor explained which made Spike excited to know it.

"That sounds really fun! I can't wait to learn stuff here! This is so exciting to know!" Spike said eagerly as they started walking through the halls, Spyro chuckled at his enthusiasm and liked how eager he was.

"Never thought there was someone who's excited for learning here, most lessons can be pretty long and drag on for most, I'll admit, even I fell asleep in class a few times before, mainly during history lessons." Spyro admitted which Nestor scoffed at.

"You stayed up for most of that night playing catch with those sheep, I know you like messing with those guys Spyro, but it's important you take care of how often you focus on certain things, if you play catch with those sheep too much, you'll burn yourself out. You need to pay attention with things Spyro." Nestor advised which made Spyro roll his eyes hearing that.

"I got it Nestor.. I was just trying to have fun.." Spyro said in a bored tone which made Spike turn to Sparx for a moment.

"Does this often happen with him?" Spike asked quietly to him, Sparx only nodded in a yes mood in response, and that let Spike understand what Spyro likes doing most of the time here.

"Maybe we'll play some games when we have free time, and it doesn't involve chasing Sheep, I honestly don't like the sound of it.." Spike said quietly while shaking his head, despite this little talk, Spike was interested with what he's gonna be learning today, and they all walked through the temple to begin they're day.

After that small talk, Spike, Spyro and Nestor went out of the temple to go to a proper area where Spike could start practicing his flying, he's gotten plenty of good tricks thanks to Smolder despite his short time having wings, and he can be pretty fast when he's focusing straight, he's had a lot to think about with how these lessons are gonna go, so hopefully he won't have too much trouble with his flight training.

Once Spike and Nestor met up at a proper area to begin this test, Nestor made sure there were proper flying obstacles Spike had to be aware of. They were in a large open field just outside the temple, Nestor had set up large gem towers around the area that looked like they needed to be tagged, there were some hoops around the area that Spike may need to fly through, and extra items that were set up for training.

Nestor, Spyro and Spike were all together at the start of this course, despite it looking pretty simple, Nestor hoped they could properly make it through here with the experience they have, Spyro's had a lot of flight training before, but this was more of a test to see if they can really handle challenges that involve a similar situation in the future, so it at least won't be too boring today.
"Alright, let's start things off simple today, you both are young dragons with a bright future ahead of you, but you will also need to know how your body's work and how far you can go, and once you know it, you must push past it to become a stronger person! We dragons all have something unique to us, and you two have potential to be some of the most important in this generation." Nestor instructed as he and Spyro were listening what he has to say.

Spike was interested with what he's saying about them, and Spyro was keeping focus on things since today will be more interesting then most.
"You both may be purple dragons, but that won't mean anything to others unless you show them your skill, and what your capable of. that's why today, you both will be going through flight obstacles today, you will try and get through the course as quickly as you can, your job will be to tag the crystal towers, they'll glow brighter once you touch them, and while doing that, you must follow the path each of the hoops have, they will lead you through this. Stray off course, and you'll have to start over again, do you understand that you two?" Nestor asked in a calm, but stern tone, hoping they knew what he's talking about.

Spike looked over the course and looked at the pathway layed out before them, a lot of it went through the tunnels and nearby the waters of the place, the hoops looked to lead them across this entire temple, and if Spike can see it right, it looks like this will be just to test they're reflexes and how far they can fly across this place without tiring out.
"It sounds simple enough, I've gotten some flight lessons back home thanks to a friend of mine, but this looks a bit more interesting then what my world had when it came to this.." Spike replied as he looked over the course, and tried figuring out how it's all set up.

"It doesn't sound too bad, I think this will be easy! I've had a lot of time to practice my flying, so it's great we're finally gonna put our wings to more use!" Spyro said eagerly as he and Spike spread they're wings.

Nestor smiled seeing they're confidence, he always liked seeing this within his students, and even with how old he gets, he'll always look over the young ones like a father, and these two mean a lot to they're kind here.
"Alright, I'll be recording your time on how long it takes to make it through it, you have to tag each crystal tower, and fly through each hoop in proper order, miss one, and you have to start over, you two ready to begin?" Nestor asked as he went to the side for them to begin while holding a stopwatch.

Spike and Spyro looked at the course and felt confidence seeing it, it looked like it was simple to learn, and if they keep things at a good pace, they'll make it through just fine.
"We're ready Nestor, let's go!" Spike assured as he and Spyro got in a starting stance, Nestor smiled at that and waited for the right moment to begin it.

"And... go!" Nestor announced as he shot a fireball in the air to signal them to go, Spike and Spyro quickly took off to start they're first lesson, they both flew around the area with a steady pace to keep themselves from going off course, Spike was in awe of seeing this land from so high up, while it was small in some areas, the portals that led to the other realms only made this a smaller part, of a much grander world. And seeing it all from so high up was amazing to see.

Spike and Spyro went high into the air till they could properly be at the crystal towers height, they could see a ton of different ways around the place, and the hoops all lead them around this land so they could see all there is here.
"Well, this is it, you ready to start this Spike?" Spyro asked as Spike kept a steady pace while flying.

"Let's do it! Race you to the end!" Spike declared before he suddenly flew off faster which made Spyro smile eagerly which Simon chuckled at.

"Oh your on!" Spyro shouted with a smirk before he quickly flew on after him. Spike flew down to the open tunnels there were that lead through the Artisans world, there were a lot of hoops he had to fly through to keep focus on the course, he went through some of the tunnels that were opened up for this course, how Nestor could set it up so fast is something to ask later. But soon enough, Spike soon saw the first Crystal tower just near one of the portals that lead to another realm, and Spike flew to it as fast as he could.

"And... tag!" Spike shouted as he taped the crystal and it glowed brighter upon contact, Spyro quickly followed behind and tagged the crystal only a second later, Spyro quickly flew after Spike as they flew through more hoops, avoiding whatever building was in they're way. A lot of dragons could see them flying in the air above them, and they waved in a friendly way as they kept up they're training.

"Man, this feels so great! i've never gotten to properly fly like this before!" Spike said with joy as he and Spyro flew right by eachother's side.

"Really? I thought you had your wings for your whole life like I did? Aren't dragons like you born with wings back in Equestria?" Spyro asked as they flew near the waters and tagged another tower near the rocky walls.

"Eh.. not really, we have to go through a stage called the Molt Down effect, it's basically like a dragon shedding it's own skin to sprout wings. And let me tell you, you are lucky to be born with them, because.. ooh boy it wasn't pretty, it itched so bad, and my fire breath was often out of control." Spike answered as he breathed fire in the air to spark things up.

Spyro was interested to hear that, and given how different dragons of this world and Equestria are, it only made him interested with more of what they have.
"That's interesting, does your kind know magic? Or have they're own culture like each of our tribes do?" Spyro asked as they flew by another tower and tagged the 3rd one by now, leaving 3 more to get.

"Eh.. not really, from what I've seen, dragons live in wastelands that most creatures wouldn't even go to, they mainly live off on eating gems and fighting, while the Dragon Lands back home are interesting, compared to this world, they're honestly pretty sad when you look at all of this." Spike answered as he looked over the beautiful landscape.

"Well, at least that'll be one thing we have here, but hey, at least this means they have potential to improve in the future right? You said this friend of yours leads the dragons, so maybe if we ever meet her, we could start expanding things and sharing each tribes knowledge, I'm sure Titan and the other leaders would be happy to ally with Ember to do it." Spyro suggested which Spike liked the sound of.

"Yeah, that sounds like a cool idea, only problem is, that this world and Equestria are incredibly far away from eachother, I was only able to get here thanks to that potion my mother sent me, and if that tiny potion was the only thing that could bring me here, we may have tougher ways to find a proper portal to make it back home.." Spike replied while looking a bit guilty, he still felt bad for having to leave his friends like that, but he had one chance, but still.. it was worrying with how long he's been gone at this point.

"Hey, don't worry buddy, we'll find a way to make a way to your home, I'm sure your friends will be able to hold out, at least till we find out where your mom is." Spyro assured which made Spike feel a bit better hearing that, and Simon prayed they could find her soon before something bad happens to her.

"Thanks Spyro, I'm glad to have someone to help me, come on, we're almost done with this course, let's finish things up!" Spike declared before he regained his speed and kept flying to the next towers with Spyro following behind.

Nestor was watching over they're progress as they kept this test up, they were doing well for dragons of they're age, and Nestor was proud for them being able to push through it this well. Nestor looked at the stopwatch and saw they were up to 4 minutes here, and this would set a goal for them to break they're record.
"We're gonna need to up the challenge for these two in the future.." Nestor told himself as he kept watch over them both.

But as Nestor kept watching over them, the door to the temple opened up which got Nestor's attention, and he was surprised to see that Titan was here for something, he often shows up for the meetings they have from time to time, but if he was here, it may be for something important.
"Titan, what are you doing here? Is everything alright?" Nestor asked as he turned to him, Titan only nodded respectfully and turned to Spike and Spyro as they kept up they're flying, and Titan had an important report he had to tell him.

"I'm fine Nestor, I've just come to give you some news, it may tie into our new friend here." Titan informed which made Nestor a bit worried, he looked back at the two as they were turned around for a bit, and they quickly snuck to a corner to talk about this.

"What have you found my friend?" Nestor asked as they hid themselves for right now. Titan made sure to know the detail of what he's been told, and made sure not to leave out any important info.

"I've gotten reports recently of a hooded figure being spotted near the Peacekeepers World, the figure looked like a dragon like all of us, but no one could see they're face, they came from a strange portal overnight from what some people saw, and that person is currently somewhere in my world." Titan explained which made Nestor really surprised hearing it.

"Do you.. think it could be.. the one searching for him?" Nestor asked as they looked back at Spike for a brief moment, while it could be true, it was also something to be concerned about just from the sound of it.

"It's possible, but no one saw they're face, but this person was gifted with magic, and from what we learned with the letter Spike was given, his mother may be skilled with it, so it could be her.." Titan suggested which made Nestor think over it for a bit.

"Hmm.. this is worrying, you'd best send some scouts out to find where this person is, and see if it's really her. Try not to startle her, if she's looking for Spike, we should try and make sure it's not a threat." Nestor instructed which Titan understood perfectly.

"Got it, I'll send scouts out by sundown, it may be easier for them at that time." Titan replied as they could see Spyro and Spike were finishing up, and they knew they had to cut this short.

"Good, let me know about what else there is to her, and see if it really is Spike's mother, we have a lot to talk with her if we can find her, but for now, just keep looking for her. " Nestor instructed as he was making his way back to his position.

"Understood, I'll keep you updated when I can." Titan finished before he quickly took off into the sky's to head home, and Nestor had to figure out how to handle this.

Spike and Spyro had finally finished up with they're training course, they were pretty tired from all the flying they had to do, but this day was just getting started, and they had a lot more they needed to learn.
"Man, that was exhausting, I can see why you prefer chasing sheep, but at least we're getting faster when it comes to flying." Spike said as he stretched his arms as they landed back down.

"Tell me about it, even with all I've been learning here, flying can be pretty tiring when it comes to lessons like this. But at least it's over for now.." Spyro said with relief as they went back up to Nestor.

Nestor looked at his stopwatch and was impressed with they're record, while most dragons can get through it faster, for dragons they're age, it's pretty impressive with what they can do.
"Good job you two, you did this in 5 minutes, that's really good for a first test, you both have done well today. We'll keep up with your flying lessons for most of the week, but soon we'll start getting more complex with them, you both had things easy today, so you'd both take it easy to prepare yourself for the real challenges." Nestor instructed as they took heavy breaths.

"You mean we'll be facing tougher obstacles then that in the future? Man, the way people learn here is strange.." Spike replied as Simon was on his shoulder again.

"You'll get used to it buddy, believe me, it gets tiring, but can be a good challenge when your skilled enough." Spyro assured which made Spike give a thumbs up in response.

Nestor smiled seeing they're determination, and was glad they were able to handle things well here today.
"Good work you two, come on, let's take a break for now, we'll have more lessons to learn as each day passes, but when we're done with you both, you will be more then capable of handling yourselves." Nestor assured which made them confident in what they'll be able to do.

"Glad to hear it. I'll look forward to learning more lessons here.. and this is only the start of it.." Spike replied as they were making they're way to the temple, Spike was glad he's handling things well here, but hopefully soon, he'll find a way to travel this world to see all there is to it.

However, far far away from the Artisans world, we open to a shot of a strange crystal cave within an unknown cavern, there were lots of supplies for someone to live here for weeks, there were books on some parts of the ground, and the entrance was blocked off with some boulders that hid the place. But at the center of it, was a familiar hooded dragon, she was looking through a crystal, and using her own magic, she could see two purple dragons, and a larger one going through the temple.

The dragon smiled with relief knowing he's really here, and that he trusted the letter she sent him, and what made it better, is that her own dragonfly found him, which made things easier for her to keep an eye on them.
"You really came to find me.. my child.." She said with a loving tone as she looked directly at Spike through the crystal, never taking her eyes off him, he looked so confident and young with what she sees of him, and knowing he really took the letter made her feel joy she hasn't felt in such a long time.

"One day.. we'll see eachother.. and I promise.. we'll never be apart again.. and I promise.. I'll tell you everything when it happens.. my child.." She said with a sad look as she removed her hood, and she was revealed to look exactly like Spike, with lighter shades of purple, and with a sharp green spine and underbelly that went down most of her body, she has visible battle scars on most parts, but she looked more then capable of keeping herself safe.

"One day my child.. I'll find a way to reach you.. I promise.." She assured as she kept a watch over him, and promise herself that she'll find a way to meet him, no matter how long it takes..

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I think simple lessons like flying would be a nice start off with how Spike and Spyro learn things around here, Spike's gonna be learning a lot during his time in this world, and he's gonna need to learn a lot more to search for his mother, I'll get into the main games soon, but I hope you don't mind the ways I'm handling things right now. Interlude: A Missing Dragon

It's been at least a week since Spike had suddenly left Equestria and everyone else. While he had his reasons through a letter he left behind for them, when Twilight found out, she started to freak out over him suddenly disappearing so suddenly, even though that letter gave her a bit of a reason why he left, for him to disappear without a trace worried her greatly.

After she found out Spike went missing, Twilight went and searched almost everywhere that he could be, while she wanted to tell the others first, she wanted to try to find him herself before declaring this was a huge problem. She searched most places in Ponyville, Canterlot, and the Everfree forest, but no matter where she went, she never found a trace as to where Spike was, which made her even more worried.

After almost a week of searching, Twilight had no choice but to call the other mane 6, princess Celestia and Luna, and even Ember and Thorax here, even Smolder had to come to this meeting to discuss this with them, while Smolder was the last one who saw Spike before he suddenly left, she herself was concerned with where he is now, but with how Twilight's handling it, it was more worrying to her.

Twilight had everyone meet up with her back in the meeting room in her castle, Ember, Thorax, Celestia and Luna, and the other mane 6 were here too, she herself was still freaking out a bit, while they can't blame her, she needs to calm down in order to properly focus on a situation like this.
"Is she often like this whenever something stressful comes to her?" Thorax asked Ember quietly who simply shrugged in response.

"When it comes to being a ruler, and having one of your closest friends suddenly disappear like this, I can understand it, but even this is worrying." Ember said as Twilight was taking heavy breaths and they saw her body was shaking a bit from worry over Spike.

"Okay okay.. he's gotta be okay out there right? Sure he just vanished somehow without even telling us where he's going, but surely there's a way we can find him, right? Right?!" Twilight shouted suddenly which made Celestia more concerned for her friend.

"Twilight, you need to calm down please, we won't be able to find out where he went, or how he vanished so suddenly if your freaking out like this." Rainbow Dash advised which they all agreed to.

"Yeah, you've been acting more crazy then Pinkie Pie does whenever she goes overboard with her parties." Applejack added which Pinkie didn't mind hearing.

"Yeah, even I'll admit Twilight.. you haven't been getting proper sleep or any rest after he vanished, and to know you went a whole week without telling us is really crazy Twilight." Pinkie added as well while she looked worried too.

"Twilight, I know your worried for Spike, but I'm sure that he's okay, he's been through tough situations too." Rarity advised while trying to calm her down.

"We won't get anywhere when your freaking out like this, you need to calm down Twilight, please?" Fluttershy asked which only made her get more stressed out.

"How can I calm down?! Spike's been missing for a week by now! And there hasn't been a single trace of him! I've tried so hard to find him, but I haven't found anything yet! How can i find him, how?!" Twilight shouted with fear which made Ember come up to her quickly, and she slapped her across the face extremely hard to stop it.

"Get ahold of yourself Twilight! This is no time to be freaking out!! Unless you snap yourself out of it, we won't get any closer to finding him, so do us all a favor, and calm down now!!" Ember screamed extremely loudly which blew Twilight's mane back a bit, but thankfully, this screaming did snap her out of it, and she started to calm down just a bit.

"Right.. right.. sorry I just.. I don't know what to do right now..." Twilight apologized while looking down with guilt which made Ember calm down herself.

"Sorry about that, but sometimes when Someones out of line, I have to make sure they're still in check. If there's one thing I got from my father, it's how to be loud at times." Ember replied while she went back to her seat too.

"And that's why she's our leader." Smolder remarked jokingly to RD who chuckled a bit hearing it.

After Twilight took a few moments to calm herself down, she was finally in a state where she could properly talk about it, she took one more deep breath before turning her focus back to the others.

"Sorry about that everyone, but this is just something we need to be concerned about. Spike's been missing for a week now, and we haven't found any traces of him, I know the incident with Sludge happened and all recently, but there's got to be a reason for why he just.. left without telling any of us directly, or giving any hints as to where he's going.." Twilight said with regret which made them worried too given what's been happening.

"I know it's rough Twilight, but you said he left a letter at least to explain his reasons, do you have the letter still to help us get an idea on why he did this?" Celestia asked hoping she did still have it.

Twilight nodded in response and went down to a bag to pull out the letter Spike wrote just before he vanished from Equestria..
"Yes, I do still have it. But while I've read this thing from top to bottom, there's nothing I found that helps us tell where he went, and from the looks of it.. he.. may not even be in Equestria anymore if this is true.." Twilight said regretfully which worried the others a lot.

"That explains why I haven't been able to find him in his dreams, I thought if I could find where his dreams are coming from, getting a hint as to where he is, we could find out where he is sooner. But.. I haven't found a single trace of him either.." Luna said with regret as well which worried them even more.

"Can you.. at least tell us what the letter said Twilight?" Smolder asked wondering what he said specifically.

"Yeah, let me read it for you guys for a minute.." Twilight replied as she opened it up and began reading the whole letter to them all. The group was all surprised with the more they learned about with this letter, Spike seemed to have a lot on his mind before he left, and this letter helped show how much he had going on just from the sounds of it.
"I'll see you soon Twilight, I promise one day.. I'll see you again.." Twilight finished while she looked down with regret.

Everyone had mixed reactions after hearing the letter in full, while Ember and Smolder were surprised with his sudden wish to leave, but with it being because he wanted to find his calling and be his own person, they were honestly understanding why he would want to go. But the mane 6 and other princesses were worried with him suddenly leaving, they don't know how he did it, even if it's to find out who he is, without a specific reason to how he vanished.

"Wow.. to know he was wanting to go out on his own like that.. and find out who he is, that's really.. something honestly.." Ember said with surprise for this sudden action of his, but at the same time, she did feel a bit proud of him for wanting to find his own calling like everyone else has.

"Yeah.. and given what has happened recently, it makes sense for Spike to want to leave like this, but even still, it doesn't explain how he was able to go so suddenly.." Smolder replied while she thought it over too.

"Do you think he.. made a magic potion or something that teleported him away somehow?" Thorax suggested which may be the reason for how he was gone so suddenly.

"That could be true, but still.. how would he even make a spell that could have him vanish farther from Equestria? It just.. doesn't make sense to me.." Twilight said with guilt for not figuring this out sooner.

"Twilight, I know it's a lot, but if this is the reason Spike left on his own, I think it's best we put our faith into him. While Equestria's faced it's dangers before, we've always pulled through no matter what, and I'm sure Spike can handle himself after all he's seen here." Celestia advised while the others thought over his reasons.

"I know it's just.. he shouldn't have left without at least saying he's going on his own, he's still very young, and he can often get in over his head with things, I'm just really worried that if he gets into trouble, he may not be able to handle himself if it's too big a threat..." Twilight said with worry for what may happen to him.

"I know it's worrying Twilight, but I think it's best we all try and discuss what brought him to this reason in the first place, and we should try and see if there's any other reasons he may not have told us yet." Luna suggested which was a good idea for them.

"Good idea Luna, what was the most recent thing that happened before Spike had vanished?" Thorax asked hoping they still remember this.

But everyone groaned a bit being asked that, and already hated the thought of him.
"It was the incident with.. Sludge.. and how he pretended to be Spike's father..." Smolder said with disgust at the thought of him.

"I know your kind can be selfish and greedy at times Ember, but what Sludge did, this was just... unacceptable..." Twilight said with anger over what he did to him.

Ember growled a bit thinking about him, and she knew that this would be a good reason for why Spike would want to go after being lied to like that.
"Don't worry Twilight, not only did I beat the message into him to the point he'd never forget it, but I also banished him from the Dragon Lands for good after that. This is one of the worst crimes our kind could do to eachother, and believe me, if I wasn't in charge, other dragons wouldn't have been as merciful as I was." Ember said while she clutched her claws.

While the others were glad to know that slimeball got what he deserved, they all brought they're attention back to the topic at hand.
"Right, and if that was one of the reasons why Spike would want to leave, I think this can help us figure out what else he was wanting to find out after the fact.." Applejack continued while Smolder thought over her last talk with Spike too.

"I was the last one to talk with Spike before he left so suddenly. And let me tell ya, he wasn't in the best state. He made some good points about our own kind, and how we just refused to change like all of you have, Ember made me go here to make friends myself, and while I'm glad to have them now, to know our kind was just.. that far down to being forced like this is just sad honestly.." Smolder said with guilt for what he felt before.

Ember sighed hearing that and knew how true it was, despite how hard she's tried to help the dragons change, she clearly needs other ways to help them evolve more properly.
"Even if Spike was in a state like that, it must've brought other conflicts he's had in his mind up too, something like that can take a hold on someone even with support from all of you, and I don't blame him for feeling that way after this happened." Ember said as she was crossing her arms to think over this.

"Sludge came here after pretending he was Spike's father, so if that's one of his reasons.. then maybe Spike went out to find who his real parents are?" Thorax suggested which made them all realize that could be true.

"Your right.. if Spike just left like that after this, and he went to go find his real parents, that would make sense. We never found out why Spike's egg was in those woods after all, so it's possible he did go to find out the truth.." Celestia theorized which made Ember look surprised hearing that.

"Hold on a minute... your saying that you found Spike's egg in the woods somewhere... alone? Without his parents, or a guardian with him?" Ember asked with a suspicious look while Smolder was besides her too.

"Um.. yeah, we never found out why, I had to hatch him with my magic during a little project Celestia assigned me, but even when I did, I always wondered why he was left alone." Twilight said with worry for what exactly happened to her.

Ember then turned to Celestia again after hearing that, she looked a bit upset being informed this, and it was for her own important reasons too.
"Celestia.. why was it that I, or my father were never told about this sooner? Why didn't any of you tell me this sooner? I could've been looking into this problem the day after I met him." Ember asked with an upset look which made them worried on how to respond to this.

"Ember, please don't take this the wrong way, even though I was wanting to return Spike's egg to your father or another dragon, I needed Spike for an important reason, and I didn't tell your father it because of how much we had to do during the time.." Celestia said with guilt for not telling them this sooner.

"Right, and you said you found Spike's egg in the woods, how do we know you didn't take.. other measures to get it? Egg thieves can be a common thing in our home, and even they're easy to be found and reported when they're caught trying to do so." Smolder asked while crossing her arms which made the others surprised with that info.

"Celestia would never steal an egg Smolder! She's the princess! She wouldn't want to cause any tension between our kinds! We've already had a lot going on as it is, we don't need any more trouble!" Rarity said quickly shutting that theory down.

"She's right, I do not want our kinds to risk going to war, but I hope you can understand I didn't tell you or Torch about it, I know you may be upset but.. I just needed that egg for that project, and I'm sorry for not reporting it sooner.." Celestia said regretfully which made Ember calm down a bit after hearing it.

"Right... I know you had your reasons Celestia. But even then, without proper evidence as to how you got Spike's egg, I'm gonna be needing to take closer looks into things soon, and unless Spike actually finds his parents, then we'll be in the dark for this for who knows how long. You should've at least told me about it during the Gauntlet of Fire, because I might've found them by now, or at least found any info on them. I'm the Dragon Lord, I could've found out something for my friend sooner, it would've at least been a form of thanks for all he's done for me.." Ember said with a sad look as to how long she didn't know this.

"Sorry Ember, I know how it is.. I wish I met Spike sooner if this was how he felt too.." Smolder assured while she patted her back.

"It's okay Ember, Spike's our friend, I'm sure he'll find out soon, maybe he'll be able to send a letter when he does?" Thorax asked while trying to keep things positive.

Twilight sighed hearing all of this, despite how much is happening right now, it just doesn't compare to how worried she is for the little guy.
"Unless we know where he went.. we may never find out the reasons fully. Even if he did go to find his own calling, if he really did leave to find his parents, he may have gone somewhere far away, somewhere even beyond Equestria.." Twilight said with fear as to how far he's gone by now.

"It still doesn't make sense, how could Spike even make a potion or something that would teleport him so far? Where would he even go? It's not like there's more dragon culture beyond Equestria, right?" Rainbow Dash asked while she looked at Ember who thought over that suggestion.

"While there are other races of dragons even beyond Equestria, what I know is very little, and I don't think even Torch would have answers as to where he would go either." Ember replied which only made them sigh hearing this, it only made the situation more tough for them.

"Then.. what do we do? How do we find out where Spike went? Even if he's gone to find his parents, or his own calling, we should at least know where he went so we can help him if he gets into trouble.." Fluttershy asked hoping there was any way to help them.

Celestia tried thinking over this situation, while it's very tough for all of them right now with what little they know, they're almost in the dark completely because of it, but that's when Celestia got one idea of who could be able to help them with a problem like this.
"I think I may know who can help us, if there's anyone who could help us find Spike, it's him.." Celestia suddenly announced which concerned the whole group hearing it.

"And who would that be Celestia?" Fluttershy asked a bit confused with her suggestion.

"A certain.. friend of yours Fluttershy." Celestia replied which made all of them realize who exactly she was talking about.

And just outside the castle, a bit away on a nearby mountain, a certain God of Chaos was watching the talk from the distance, he had his reasons not to get involved with this. But knowing they'll be wanting his help made him sigh hearing it.
"Looks like his time has come now, and they'll be asking me for help. Oh boy.. this is gonna be rough... let's just hope for the best Discord." Discord told himself as he was making a list of suggestions for what can be done, Discord knew there was a more important reason for this, and it's gonna take a while for him to fully explain it to everyone. Hopefully one day, they'll all find out what happened with Spike soon, and he can come home to them safe..

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I honestly have a few ideas for Discord that will be for this story, I'll not only be doing this for my other Spyro story when he's in it, but it'll tie into something more important later on which I hope you look forward to.

I honestly think Ember should've went to investigate on what happened with Spike's egg in the show, I think we all know she would've not taken that news that well without proper evidence as to what happened with Spike's egg. I do have ideas on making a story that involves this premise in the future which could be cool for a story. but for now, I hope that what I have in this story interests you all more for more of it, I hope you all liked this, and have a good day guys!

6: A Sign Of Hope

A few more days has passed since Spike and Spyro took on some more flying lessons thanks to Nestor's guidance, and since then, Spike's been trying to keep up with what he has to study in order to learn more about this world. Spike's had to take a ton of history lessons in order to learn more about this world, how it works, and what makes it so different compared to Equestria.

Spike and Spyro have been getting along really well, despite them both being purple dragons with a lot of stuff they have to work on together, he's been handling things on his own very well, even without the help of Twilight and the others. While he does miss them and regrets not being able to fully tell them why he left, he had one chance in order to really find his mom, and he had to take it.

Spike's made sure to keep an eye out for any reports there could be that relates to his mom in any way. While his new dragonfly Simon has been wanting to show him something, Spike doesn't understand him fully, and he has to learn to speak with them in order to fully know what he wants to show.

Spike has been taking up some extra studies on what this world can do and how dragons live around here, and what he's learned is extremely fascinating, with how the dragons can travel to different worlds and use magic, it's almost as impressive as the magic Twilight and the others could use back home.

Spike was currently in his room while reading over some more history books, he's been keeping up with his study's after he started learning at this place, and has been keeping a solid pace on what he has to learn.
"Man, to think I still have a couple hours left to get through these, It's really fascinating with what magic these guys can do, wonder if I could learn some in the future?" Spike asked himself while Simon flew right next to him and was seeing his progress.

He was happy to see Spike was studying well since he came here, it's something his mother would be very proud of how well he's been keeping up with his study's, and he only wished he could show Spike where she once was before she contacted him.

Spike himself was making sure to study whatever he could in order to get ready for what this world has to offer, if his mother really is here, he needs to be prepared in every way, while he's had time to adjust being here with the help of Spyro and Nestor, and as well as the other dragon elders, if Spike's gonna find anything that relates to his mother, he needs to be on his A game when he sets out.
"To think my mother is out there, hiding somewhere where she can't be found, do.. you really think I'll be able to find her Simon? I know we've hardly gotten to know eachother and all, but do you think there will be anything that can help us find her?" Spike asked while he turned to the purple dragonfly.

While Simon couldn't say anything to him currently, he only nodded his head in a " Yes" way, trying to assure him that they will find her, he knows quite the number of caves and hiding spots she has all over this land, and beyond it, he's been with her since she was a small hatchling, and when Spike's ready to go, he'll try and help him find where they can find her.

"Thanks Simon, I'm really glad I met you, you know, it's hard to think this is still happening for me, all the studying I've had to do in the past week or so, getting ready to handle what lies ahead, all the stuff I've had to do with Spyro and Nestor, it's honestly a lot more then compared to what I had to do before. Hopefully this will all help me when the time is needed once we try to find her. Hopefully Nestor and the others will find any info about her soon." Spike prayed as he was finishing up the the next part of the book he had to read today thanks to his focus.

Spike kept reading the book for a few more minutes until he finally finished the latest chapter on how dragons can learn magic, it was very fascinating for him to learn, and it only made him want to know more as time goes on here.
"And that's all I need to do for today, only noon by now and I've finished up my studies, talk about great progress." Spike said with a smile while he was writing the stuff down on his notes to remember important stuff.

Simon was pretty happy knowing that Spike's getting the hang of things really well here, and once Spike was done, he closed the book and put it down so he could get out of the room for a while.
"Well, that's enough studying for me today, wanna see how Spyro's doing in his room? He should be finished up by now if he actually kept a focus on things." Spike suggested which Simon gladly agreed with.

"Sweet! Come on let's see how he's doing now." Spike insisted as he was walking out of his room with Simon flying right behind him.

Spike had soon made his way into the halls of the temple and was making his way to Spyro's room which wasn't too far from his own, Spike's been getting used to the layout of the temple's halls and what leads to which room, the library is in the very center of the temple while there are a ton of classrooms and dorm rooms for other students around it, it was really amazing seeing so much built into this place, and it felt so ancient with how old everything looks, but with the magic the dragons use here, things often still looked new despite how old they really were.

Spike walked down the halls for a few more minutes until he came upon Spyro's room, it wasn't that much different then his own when Spike's gotten the chance to hang out with him, he just hoped Spyro hasn't fallen asleep again mid study like he's done a few times before.
"Spyro, you in there buddy?" Spike asked as he knocked on the door to get a response.

Spike waited a few moments to hear anything from it, but the only thing he could hear from that room.. was loud snoring..
"He fell asleep again didn't he?" Spike asked with an upset look while he looked at Simon, and he only shook his head in response which made Spike sigh knowing this.

"Well, let's get him up again, come on." Spike said as he grabbed the handle and opened the door, Spyro's room wasn't to different then his own, some crystals were on the walls to light it up at night, there were some posters of dragons on the walls, some books and papers stacked on his shelves, and right at the window, Spike could see Spyro had fallen asleep again while he was reading, and they saw Sparx was there trying to wake him up.

"How long has he been out now? Around an hour at most?" Spike greeted Sparx who noticed they came in, but he wasn't too bothered with them being here, and only nodded again to answer it.

"Dude's always tiring himself out with how much he plays, sometimes there's a good moment for relaxing, and others aren't. I've learned that myself that's for sure." Spike said with a sigh while he went up to Spyro, who's face was asleep on his own desk and was snoring loudly.

"Spyro, wake up dude, it's past noon." Spike announced while he shook his body a little, but Spyro didn't budge and only snored a little louder.

"Alright, so that's how it's gonna be huh?" Spike asked with a smirk as he reached into a small bag he had, and he pulled out an airhorn for pranks, Spike smiled at Simon and Sparx who gave him the sign to do it, and Spike smirked a bit knowing he can do this.

"Alright buddy, you've already gotten a flab from all the sleeping you've had, let's make sure you try and work it off, so get up Spyro!" Spike shouted before he pressed the Airhorn near Spyro's ear which made a really loud sound, and that made Spyro scream in fear while he finally woke up from the noise and fell off his own chair as a result of the noise.

Spyro groaned a bit and was finally focusing on Spike who was standing right above him, and he was a bit upset
"Ugh.. Spike? What the heck man? Why'd you have to scare me like that? I almost had a heart attack." Spyro asked tiredly while Spike was helping him up.

"Sorry Spyro, you weren't waking up, so I had to use the old airhorn trick on you, it's past noon by now, have you seriously been sleeping the whole morning in instead of studying?" Spike asked while Spyro was still waking up.

"Ugh.. I think I passed out after the sun rose, but can you really blame me Spike? We've had to keep this studying up from 8 till around 3 in the afternoon every day, we've barely had anytime to rest because of this." Spyro said in defense while Spike sighed after waking him up.

"Sorry I had to do that, but I've had a lot of studying to do even back home, this really isn't that new to me, it's actually pretty natural for where I'm from, but I can see it's hold on you, so sorry for waking you up like this." Spike apologized while Spyro yawned a bit to wake himself up.

"It's alright Spike, so what's up anyway? You already get done with your studying today?" Spyro asked while he looked out his window, and saw the sun was high in the sky, meaning it was around noon by now.

"Yeah, I've made sure to get everything right with what I've had to catch up with, it's really interesting learning about this world let me tell you." Spike said with a smile while Spyro looked a bit bored already.

"Eh you say that now, but once you have to learn more about this over and over each day, you'll understand where I'm coming from eventually, especially when it's stuff you already know." Spyro replied while he stretched out his wings.

"We'll see if that ever happens, I was just coming to check on you, since you look so tired right now, you wanna head outside to find Nestor or something? He may have something on my mother after he's done some searching around?" Spike asked which was interesting for Spyro.

"Of course, sure beats hanging around here. Heard there's gonna be an interview in a bit too, hopefully we'll be able to talk with him before the interview happens." Spyro replied which was interesting to him.

"Maybe he does have something we need to know, come on Spyro, it's best we get some air after being in here all day." Spike advised while he was walking out of the room, and Spyro only yawned a bit more before he followed him out of the room to meet up with Nestor.

Spike and Spyro made they're way out of the temple again to meet up with Nestor who was in the middle of the fields to study a bit, Nestor's been getting what reports he can regarding on where Spike's mother could be, or if there's any way they could fine her, he's been impressed with Spike being able to keep up with his study's really well, and it could only mean a good thing the more he goes along.

Nestor was looking at a small list of reports while he was waiting for anything interesting to happen, Spike and Spyro had soon came up to him after they exited the temple with Sparx and Simon, and he was pretty surprised seeing them out so early.
"Ah, Spyro, Spike, are you two doing well today?" Nestor greeted while he put the list away for now.

"Yeah, we're doing good, we were just coming out to see how things are going with all the studying we've had to do." Spike replied with a confident smile which made Nestor a bit curious.

"Hmm, I take it you and Spyro have been keeping up with your studying well right? I know it's a lot for you to process, but it's just to make sure your ready for what's to come in the future." Nestor asked which made Spyro roll his eyes a bit.

"Don't worry Nestor we're fine, we've been told this stuff before and have been studying all we can." Spyro replied as he tried to keep the fact he fell asleep earlier hidden.

"I see, it's good to know that at least. So what brings you two out here?" Nestor asked while Spike tried thinking of how to ask this.

"Well, it's just that we were wondering if you've found any reports on where my mom could be? I know it's been only a bit since I arrived here and all, but maybe there's something you've been able to find right?" Spike asked with a hopeful look which made Nestor remember something being asked that.

"Oh, of course. Well to let you know, I was actually getting reports of some a hooded dragon moving around the other worlds and was trying to stay out of sight, some couldn't catch up with her, but they say they caught a glimpse of her appearance, and some say that she was purple, and looked a bit like you in some ways Spike." Nestor explained which gave Spike hope that she really is out there.

"Really?! Do you know where she was last seen?!" Spike asked hopefully while Simon was hopeful she was nearby after they last saw eachother.

"Last we heard of these reports was in the Peacekeepers world, it isn't too far from here if you travel by air, I was actually going to investigate it myself with Titan once we have an idea on where she's hiding." Nestor replied which was good news for them to hear.

"That's good to hear, but.. if she is out there, then why is she trying to hide from you all? Wouldn't she try to reunite with her son as soon as she knows he's here? What.. reason is there for her to hide from us like this?" Spyro questioned with a concerned look.

That question made Spike and Nestor look surprised for a moment, and they soon realized it was an important question, and Spike tried thinking over why this would be the case.
"Maybe.. she's afraid of having herself be seen, she is a purple dragon like me and Spyro after all, and given how special they are here, she may be traveling by shadows to avoid unwanted attention." Spike suggested which Simon thought was true with what she's had to do with her magic.

"That could be the case, but still, we will still have to question why she sent your egg to this.. Equestria, while there is always a reason for everything, unless we find her so things could be properly answered, I'm afraid we'll just have to keep speculating until we find out why." Nestor suggested too which made Spike sigh a bit knowing that.

"I guess so.. still.. if this is true.. then she really is out there... but.. with how long she's been gone from my life.. I.. don't know how I'll be able to handle her being back, after what Sludge did back in Equestria, I.. still find it hard to believe it could really be her.." Spike said sadly which made Spyro pat his shoulder to calm him down.

"Hey, it'll be okay buddy, that guy was a horrible person that couldn't be trusted, even from just the story alone. If your mother really is out there searching for you, it proves that she misses you, and wants to see you again, we'll find her soon Spike, I promise you that." Spyro assured which made Spike sigh once again.

"You say that now, but we won't know until we really find her.. or even if she can be found... " Spike said with a small bit of hope that they can find her knowing that she is out there.

"Don't worry young one, I'm keeping track on all reports that will be needed, once we get more info as to where she is, we'll head out to find her in order to have you two finally meet eachother, no hatchling should go they're lives without knowing something as important as this, even though some would prefer not to know for they're own reasons, for you Spike, it's the most important thing we need to focus on the more you adjust to living here." Nestor assured once more which finally made Spike have more hope to know it.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do, whatever we find that relates to her, hopefully it'll be one step closer to us finding her, but as long as we keep searching, we'll be able to meet her one day, right?" Spike asked with a hopeful look.

"Of course Spike, you can count on me and Sparx to help you out, same with everyone else here, we're here for you Spike." Spyro replied with a smile which made Spike smile back in response.

"Thanks guys, again." Spike said gratefully which made Nestor chuckle a bit in response.

"It's alright young dragon, I'm sorry to cut this short, but the interview is about to start in a bit, Bob, Astor, and Lindar will be in the interview, and I'll make sure to answer what questions that are asked, you two just keep up your studying for a while, but for now, you'd both best take a break alright?" Nestor asked before he spread out his wings again and flew off to take care of the interview.

"Well, that leaves just us I guess." Spike said with an interested look, while it was great to know his mother is out there with the reports Nestor's gotten, where she is, is still his greatest question, and he just wonders when he'll be able to find her, so he could really get answers as to why he was left in those woods.

"So you wanna go play with the sheep in the field a bit? There isn't much we have to do with studying right now anyway?" Spyro asked which interested Spike.

"If you mean" Play with the sheep" as in: Torch they're butts to make them run faster with fear then you did when you saw that large spider and you freaked out? then maybe we should just play some catch with a ball or something, believe me, Fluttershy would not approve of that at all if she saw it." Spike said with a serious look which was confusing to Spyro a bit.

"Uh... sure.. can we just go out to do something fun at least?" Spyro asked again as he remembered that large spider he saw in his room which terrified him when it came out of nowhere.

"Sure thing, come on Spyro, let's just try and rest for now, we still have a lot we need to get done." Spike encouraged while he and Spyro were making they're way through the field with Sparx and Simon right behind them, while this news of Spike's mom being out there is great to Spike, he still needs to find her, and hopefully some day, he'll finally get the answers he needs, and not knowing that today, will finally begin the adventure he has to go on..

Author's Note

Hey guys thanks for reading this! I know this chapter was still pretty short in some areas, but we're gonna be heading into the Reignited Trilogy finally starting with the next chapter, I just wanted to give Spike and Spyro a bit more time to hang with eachother before they set foot onto this large adventure that will continue over at least a couple years with each game I do.

But as I've been planning things out, there was something I was wanting to ask you guys, when exactly should I have Spike meet up with his mother in the story? I have a few ways this can happen, and I was hoping for your feedback if it sounds good to you.

Spike and Spyro will find Spike's mother who will be named Blaze in this story near the end of the game when they face against Gnasty Gnorc, she will still be hidden in a cave to keep herself out of sight, but once Spike and Spyro go off to face against him, Blaze senses that her son is close by, and senses that he could be in danger for this fight, after having enough of waiting around, not wanting to let her son and friend get hurt or possibly die, she secretly heads out after them to help them in the fight.

When Spyro and Spike face off against Gnasty Gnorc, Blaze will be the one who ends up taking down him in the end after they're on the last stretch, and after everyone is shocked with seeing the fact Spike's mother is really alive, Blaze finally decides to tell Spike and the rest of the Dragon Leaders about who she is, and why she sent Spike's egg to Equestria in the following chapter to explain her backstory a bit.

Blaze's story going forward for Ripto's Rage, is that she will try and connect with her son again after they've spent years apart from eachother, and even though Spike's glad to have his mother back, he's still having trouble trying to handle everything after she's been away from so long, and will still be struggling with stuff regarding they're relationship. At the end of Ripto's Rage, I will have the two finally connect with eachother again as mother and son, and I'll have a few extra chapters in between the 2nd and 3rd game to help them bond more too.

But when Year of the Dragon happens, that's when I'll be getting into more personal stuff for Blaze, I set this up in the first chapter, but the third game is where I think Blaze can get more depth with what she's been through, I won't spoil anything for you guys, but I just think the third game can have her be explored some more, and I hope this is a good plan that could help flesh out the story and character's a bit more.

But for now, I just hope you liked what this is setting up, and hope you look forward to more guys!

7: The Start of An Adventure

After Spike and Spyro went to try and find out what to do, Spike was still left in his thought's on what they'll be able to do to find his mother. Spike's been doing what he can to study about Dragon kind in this world, and learning how different it works. But it made Spike just wonder what it was like for his mother in this world, where she was during all this time, and what exactly she had to learn as a child.

Since Purple Dragon's are extremely rare here, it's likely she had to learn special stuff too just like him and Spyro, but since she was able to send him that letter that informed him of her being in this world, it made Spike wonder what else she could do, and if she's trying more to help them find her when the time comes.

As Spike and Spyro were out in the field's currently, it was around noon by now, and Spike was just reading another book on dragon kind, learning that here, dragons can use magic too, and with what they can use can help them with many tasks that can be done around here, it was really fascinating to him, and while that was happening, Spyro was just feeling bored again from not doing much at all here.
"Do you really have to still be studying here Spike? We still have plenty of time to relax and hang out some more, do you know how long these sessions can go on these days?" Spyro asked a bit bored while Spike only shook his head and closed the book he was reading.

"Sorry Spyro, but there's just a lot that I'm wanting to learn about with this world, with how different it is from Equestria, it makes me wonder if there's anything that could help me find my mother, she could've used some type of magic to send me the letter in the first place. And I'm trying to see if there's anything I can find to help me track her, or at least get more clue's as to where she is." Spike replied as Simon flew right next to him.

Spyro sighed again hearing that, and despite how important it was for him to find his real birth mother, especially after that slimeball tricked him, Spyro's not wanting his buddy to overwork himself.
"Spike, I understand your wanting to learn more about it, heck you've been learning a lot faster then I have in the past few month's, but don't you think your pushing yourself a bit too hard here?" Spyro asked with worry which Spike didn't look concerned over.

"Don't worry about that Spyro, some time's one just have to study harder then most in order to keep up, I've got so much I need to catch up with, and I'm barely even getting started, can't imagine what Nestor or the other leader's are gonna teach us when we get proper lessons from them." Spike replied as they both sat down on the grass and looked over the many dragon's flying around the sky, they were heading down to the portal's that lead to different town's and world's outside of this one,, which did fascinate Spike on how they operate.

"Heh, I can see that, but I'm sure by next year or so you'll be fully caught up with my studies and probably be ahead of me, I haven't seen someone like you so eager to study since I started learning here, most kids around here during they're free time just like to play games or do whatever with the time they have, just trying to find what they could do to have fun here." Spyro said as he reflected on what's happened before he met Spike here.

This only made Spike yawn a bit as a result, since he did feel a bit tired from all that studying he did.
"Yeah, I can understand that studying for hours can be exhausting when we do it so much, my guardian did that so much, she kept falling asleep at her desk at times after reading too much, often leaving me to take care of the house for her, man I miss those days." Spike said with a light chuckle which got Spyro concerned over hearing that.

"Do you think she's worried over you right now? You did just leave without saying much of a goodbye right?" Spyro asked with concern which made Spike flinch a bit as he remembered he only left a letter for Twilight and the other's before he left without a trace to even find where he went too.

"Knowing her.. she's probably freaking out right now, I just had a lot going through my mind during that moment, and after I was lied too by Sludge, I just wanted to do what I could to find her, this letter felt so real and like it was from her, I.. I couldn't just ignore it.." Spike said with guilt as he took out the letter she sent him.

This made Simon look really sad knowing that it's affected him like this, Spike showed Spyro the letter in full again, helping him see just how much it meant to him, with how long he went his life without ever meeting her, it really hit him in ways he hasn't felt in a long time, and Spyro just felt regret knowing it.
"I'm sorry you had to handle something like this so suddenly Spike, but at least that your here now, we'll be able to help you find her right? Nestor and the other leader's are doing what they can to find out where she could be, but we just need to relax for a bit, and take in the time we have alright?" Spyro asked as Spike sighed again and put the letter away in a bag he was carrying for now.

"I guess so Spyro, still, I just wish there was more I could know about her, anything that let me know, what she was like.." Spike said sadly as he took in this moment to think over what it could be like when he meets her.

As Spike said all of this, it made Simon remember a special place that his mother had that was well hidden, and only he knew where it was, if it could help them find her soon, then they need to see what could be there. Simon soon flew in front of the group, trying to let them know about something important.
"What's he saying Spyro?" Spike asked as he still didn't understand his language yet, and Spyro only raised an eyebrow while looking at Sparx who was just as confused.

"He's saying there's a place he wants to take us, somewhere not too far." Spyro answered which made them both stand up, wondering where he was wanting to take them.

"Where do you think that is?" Spike asked with interest while Simon started flying a bit ahead towards the upper level's of the lands to lead them there.

"Well we won't know by staying here! Come on! Let's see where he's going!" Spyro said with an eager look as he spread out his wings and took to the sky again, and Spike soon followed behind to see what he's heading too.

"Hold on Spyro, don't you think we should tell Nestor about this? This could be really important." Spike asked with worry if he should know about this.

"We'll tell him later once we get back, he's got that interview in just a bit! Let's not interrupt him, we'll just ask him after it's done, come on." Spyro replied as he flew ahead even faster to catch up with Simon who was pretty fast, while Spike was still concerned about this, he had a strange feeling Simon knew more then he let on, but until they find out more about him, wherever he's going, he needs to see what's there too.

"Alright then, let's see where your taking us Simon." Spike told himself before he quickly sped up and did his best to keep up with Spyro, it felt really great to be flying through the air like this, he's still getting used to having wing's and being able to fly after being grounded most his life, but it still felt really great to fly like all the other dragons he's seen here, and in Equestria.

Spike, Spyro and Simon flew alongside eachother as Simon was trying to find where he remembered this location was, while they found it concerning on how he suddenly knows where to find a place that could help, they're just gonna role with it for now, and they quickly flew up to him as he began flying down towards the water, Spike smiled a bit and brushed his hand across the water, feeling the nice cold water below him, and it only made Spyro laugh a bit seeing this.

"See, this is pretty fun right?" Spyro asked playfully which Spike laughed at as a result too.

"You can say that again! I'll race you!" Spike declared which Spyro was eager to do.

"Your on! Let's fly!" Spyro said with a laugh as they flew as fast as they could to keep up with Simon who was happy to see the two of them get a long.

As all of this was happening, the interview Nestor was having with Bog, Astor, and Lindar was about to begin, and he was making sure every current report he got was recent and knew what to say when asked about them.
"Alright, that should do it. We're on!" Nestor said as they saw the camera was recording while Astor was nearly falling asleep, and was soon shooken up by the director speaking out to him.

"We're all rolling Astor!" He announced which shook him out of his sleep so they could begin this interview.

"So, you were here to tell us about how thing's are going on in the Dragon World's here today Astor?" The guy asked as Astor tried remembering the detail over everything he currently knows.

"Sorry about that, it's been really peaceful here in the 5 Dragon Worlds! Or is it six? And for A Dragons age, we currently have over 12,000 treasure safely stored, or.. is it 14,000?" Astor asked himself as this was going live all across the worlds, including the world to someone else who lives far away from here.

"What about this Gnasty Gnore character? I understand he's said to have found a magic spell that will turn gem's into weapons or monster's for his cause?" He asked with concern as Lindar came up after hearing that.

"I'll take that question, Gnasty Gnorc, is a simple creature." Lindar answered as Gnorc himself was watching this and was caught off guard hearing that.

"Simple?!" Gnasty Gnorc asked with rage as his full attention was on this report now.

"He has been contained in a remote world that is no threat to the Dragon kingdom." Lindar assured again which infuriated him even more.

"No threat?!" Gnorc asked with an even more upset look as he kept getting insulted even more.

"Besides, he is ugly." Lindar finished which finally made him snap.

"Ugly?! That does it!" Gnorc said to himself as he went to retrieve his special staff he used to use this spell he learned recently as Nestor was being asked another question.

"So uh, Nestor, we've been hearing reports of a mysterious cloaked figure has been traveling around the Dragon World's recently, do you have any answers on who that could be, or if they're something we should worry about?" He asked again which made Nestor think of a proper answer.

"We've heard about this report too, and we've been searching all over each world to find who this person is, rest assured, we won't stop until we find them. There's a lot of questions we have ourselves about this person." Nestor answered which interested him.

"Really? Do you think there's more to this figure then we know? I've heard recently that a second purple dragon has been living at the temple with the rest of you, who is he?" He asked again which was difficult for Nestor to explain, and as that was happening, Gnasty Gnorc found the staff he was using and prepared to use the spell against every dragon around every world.

"That's.. complicated to answer.." Nestor admitted as he tried finding a way to explain Spike's sudden arrival here. But he couldn't do that anymore as Gnasty Gnork raised his staff in the air and shot a giant green blast into the sky from his world, and that instantly traveled towards every dragon across every world, and they were all frozen upon contact instantly from being hit with them, and this only made Gnorc chuckle sinisterly as he saw his work easily be achieved.

"Let's see if those special purple dragons can stop this.." Gnorc said to himself as he chuckled like a maniac while turning off the Tv he had.

As this was happening, the figure from the cave we saw before was watching over all of this, and she was getting very concerned seeing that spell reach every dragon there was, no matter how hard it was to find them, every single one across the worlds got hit, and it really scared her knowing her child and Spyro could be the only one's left.

"If that spell has trapped every dragon in a crystal, it means Gnasty Gnorc really found a spell that froze all of them.." She said with a growl as she started to stand up from knowing what's going on. But as she stood up, she could sense the same blast was coming straight towards her too.

She looked at the entrance of her cave and saw the blast burst through it without any effort, it flew right towards her in an attempt to encase her in a crystal too. But she only raised a single claw in front of it and caught the blast with no effort at all, the light from it illuminated her body, showing off even more features that made her look very similar to Spike in many ways.

"These kinds of spells have no affect on Purple Dragons, my son and that dragon he's with won't even be affected, and something like this, only wastes my time." She said with a growl before she threw the spell to the side and it crashed into the wall nearby and was destroyed instantly.

The figure thought over how dangerous that spell is, and knowing that Gnorc is likely using this time he has to begin trying to take over the Dragon Kingdom, she knew she had to do something about it, no matter what, and if she wants to see her son again, she needs to find a way to help.
"Let's hope you'll be able to reach him son, I'll find you soon. But I just hope you'll be safe." She prayed as she looked out the cave and started running towards it to find out where to find this freak.

"You will pay for this Gnasty Gnorc! Count on that!" She shouted before she put up her hood and began flying into the sky's away from the deserted looking island she was on, beginning her quest to take down this monster.

Meanwhile with Spike and Spyro, they were lead to a cave entrance that was really well hidden on the outer reaches of the Artisans world, they had to swim through an open tunnel below it just to reach it, and as they emerged from the water to catch some air again, they were really exhausted with how much they had to fly here.
"Man, that felt like it took forever! " Spyro said with a tired look as they crawled out of the water and onto the sandy floor around them.

"Yeah, who knew there was a cave entrance in the water like that? Crazy." Spike replied as he stretched out his arms, and as Simon flew back up to them to show them where they are, they soon took in the place they found to see where they were.

They were lead to a strange looking cave with multiple crystal's around the wall to illuminate the place, there were tons of book's on some shelves that were somehow carved into the walls themselves, almost like they were formed there by magic, there were some sleeping supplies near the end of the cave where a fireplace was shown, and a desk full of strange art material's that look that they haven't been used in years.

"What is this place?" Spyro asked with confusion as they explored the small cave, it looked like someone lived here a long time ago, but whoever it was, looks to be long gone by now.

"I think someone lived here years ago Spyro, but they've probably found another place to live or something like that." Spike suggested which really confused Spyro on how this place wasn't found before.

"How did Simon even know this place was here? What could there be for us that could help?" Spyro asked as Simon flew by Spike again who was just as curious about this too.

"Yeah, how do you know about this place?" Spike asked as well while they looked at Simon, hoping he'd answer. And Simon tried his best to find a way to answer without giving too much, and he found an answer that could help with that.

He only gave a small answer that could help, and even Spyro was confused on what that meant.
"Weird, he's saying the dragon he used to look after lived here.. and that some time ago, they left him to find someone else.." Spyro translated which Spike was surprised by.

"Really? Who could've lived here? Did you really have another dragon to look over before us Simon?" Spike asked with concern as he looked at the desk and tried finding anything to help, but he only found a small shard of a crystal that was glowing, almost like it was being used for something important, or even left behind.

Simon only nodded as a yes to his previous question, but that still didn't help Spike with everything else he was going through.
"I still don't understand, why would this place just be left alone like this? Who lived here?" Spike asked with concern while he took the crystal and put it in his bag for later.

Spyro didn't know how to answer this either, looking around the place, it looked like this person spent a lonely life here, whoever lived here, must've had it rough in way's they don't know yet.
"I don't know Spike, but I guess that just makes things more interesting, do you think there's more caves like this out in the other worlds like this?" Spyro questioned as they looked around the cave together.

"I.. think there could be, do you.. think they could find a way to help us find my mother?" Spike asked with worry as they tried finding out what this means.

"I.. think we should head back to the temple to ask Nestor about this, maybe he'll allow us to explore the other worlds and find more caves like this? The sooner we get answers to your mother, the better it will be for us." Spyro suggested which Spike liked the sound of.

"Yeah, you said you were wanting to do more then study all the time, so maybe a little adventure like this could work? Who knows, it could even be fun?" Spike said with a light smile which Spyro was happy to agree with.

"Yeah! We've been studying for so long, I've barely had time to fully explore these worlds! Let's head back and tell Nestor about this!" Spyro declared as he was running towards the exit that was through the same tunnel they had to swim through before.

"Right behind you! Let's go!" Spike said as he and Spyro jumped into the water again and started to swim back outside, Spike was still questioning on how Simon knew about this place, and the more he thinks about it, Simon could have a deeper connection to his mother then he first thought, he just hopes that soon, they'll find out more about him, and where he came from.

Thanks for reading this everyone! Sorry for the wait on this chapter again, I just had other stories to work on. But I've been planning out on how this story will go along since the last chapter, and I think I have a good idea on how to fully adapt the games into this story, so the next one will start with the Artisans world, and each chapter following will have Spike and Spyro travel across each world till they confront Gnasty Gnorc, I know that sound simple, but I'll do what I can to help blend Spike into the story with what I have planned for it.

8: The First Steps

After finding that strange cave on the outskirts of the Artisans World, Spike and Spyro tried making their way back to the temple and Nestor as fast as they could, what they found was really concerning to them, and if there are more places like this in the other worlds, then they should try to find out where they are, if they have any hints or answers as to where Spike's mother is, they need to find them.

Spike was still conflicted over all of this after what they've seen, if his mother really is out there, and is in hiding, he can't help but wonder what else has had her hide like this instead of getting help, or at least trying to get in contact with him sooner, whoever she is, is still a mystery to them, and they need to be prepared for anything if they want to find her.

The two of them flew through the skies a bit in order to reach the temple again, they flew quite a long ways away from the place, and they were gone for only an hour or so, but they just hoped they wouldn't get into any trouble as they finally made their way back.
"Man, that sure took a while, at least we're finally back now." Spike said with relief as they could see the temple just ahead, and hoped that Nestor as well as any other dragon was interested in hearing what they found.

"You think Nestor has any clue where we can find other places like that across the other worlds? This was just one of who knows how many." Spyro replied while Spike shook his head finding that hard to believe.

"You gotta remember Spyro, if my mom really is still out there, then she may have places like that hidden all around, and they must be well hidden if no one has found any traces of her, she's gonna be hard to find, but hopefully Nestor at least has a few maps of the places we can explore in order to find clues about her." Spike prayed which they both hoped for.

"Knowing him, he likely has dozens of spares on each world, besides if we do get lost, Sparx and Simon here will be able to help guide us if we're stuck, right guys?" Spyro asked playfully while looking at the two Dragonflies who both nodded in agreement hearing that.

"Great, let's see if Nestor can help us with what we've found." Spike replied with a smile as they finally arrived back to the temple after that long flight.

But as they both landed on the ground, they already noticed something was off, normally there would be tons of dragons flying all over the place to do their own business, but the place felt almost.. empty, asides from the sheep and the sights of some weird creatures in the distance, they saw almost no other dragons around where they were, and that immediately concerned them.
"Um.. did we miss an important meeting or anything? Where is everybody?" Spike asked with confusion while they tried finding anyone who could help them.

"Normally Nestor would have a meeting scheduled if there was, somethings wrong, I can already feel it." Spyro replied as they tried figuring out what's going on.

"What do you think happened? Was there an attack? Or something worse?" Spike asked with fear which he hoped wasn't true.

"We'll find out if we can find someone, come on, let's see if there's anything left here!" Spyro said as he suddenly began running towards the temple in case anyone was still there.

The two of them quickly made their way to the place's entrance while Sparx and Simon followed behind, hoping they could get answers on what's happening, they didn't expect something like this to happen so suddenly, but even if they can't understand it yet, Simon already has a bad feeling about it, and worries that the one he was previously with is safe..

But as soon as they made it back to the entrance, to their surprise, they saw what looked like a large green crystal encasing a dragon within it. They could see it was struggling to break free from whatever trapped it inside, and that made them worry on how this happened.
"What happened to them?!" Spike asked with fear as they ran up to it to try and break this dragon free of the crystal.

"Why don't we ask them instead of panicking?! Hold on, I got an idea!" Spyro said as he was backing up a bit and got ready to charge directly towards the crystal to free him.

"Back away Spike!" Spyro shouted to him who nodded in response and took a few steps back, and Spyro didn't waste any time to charge directly towards the crystal with his horns in front of him, and after running as fast as he could, Spyro soon crashed right into the crystal like he had planned.

And because of the impact, it was strong enough to crack open the crystal which continued to break apart, and after a bright green flash of light, the moment it died down, they soon saw Nestor was finally getting up after being trapped in there.
"Nestor! What happened? Are you alright?!" Spike asked with worry while he brushed any remains of the crystal he had off him before turning to them with a grateful look.

"Thank you for releasing me you two, I had feared the same could've happened to you if that spell really did hit every dragon like I had heard about." Nestor said thankfully while they were confused on what that meant.

"What do you mean by that? What's going on?" Spike asked as he and Spyro waited for an answer.

"Right, you two might not have heard it, but to put it simply. A threat has started to rise in the Dragon Worlds, a punk by the name of Gnasty Gnork has found a spell that has turned every single dragon across the worlds into a crystal just like me, and from what I had heard before this, he was apparently stealing some of our treasures to use his magic on too, in order to turn them into his own soldiers to try and take over everything." Nestor explained which Spyro was really upset to know about.

"Where is this guy?! I'll torch him for what he's done!" Spyro swore while Spike was surprised by how extreme he was about this so suddenly.

"Don't get too reckless Spyro, Gnasty Gnork is on a far away world that was sealed off before this, I'm sorry to ask this so suddenly, but I need you both to find the other encased Dragons and free them, the more you free, the more we'll have a chance at putting a stop to him." Nestor requested which sounded pretty big for a request.

"What about you? Can't you help us in any way?" Spike asked hopefully which Nestor couldn't do sadly.

"Unfortunately I cannot, I need to find the remaining students that may have been encased too, if every dragon has been encased, that includes the other leaders of their respective worlds too, that means I need to take charge of things here until everything's back under control, whatever reports come in that are important, I need to tend to them immediately." Nestor explained which sounded reasonable.

"Do you think there are other dragons around this area that we need to free too?" Spike asked with worry as he looked around the place for anyone that could be left.

"Of course there will be Spike, you will need to explore the place if you want to find them, but be careful, there are likely more Gnorcs out there trying to steal our treasures and eggs since their left defenseless now, if you see any trying to steal them, don't hesitate to put a stop to them." Nestor instructed while Spike was very worried about all of this.

"I still don't get it fully Nestor, how did this Gnasty Gnorc even manage to find a spell that could even do this?" Spike questioned again as that sounded the most confusing to him.

"It's likely he stole a book that held powerful spells he could use against us, but don't let that discourage you two, if you can manage to find your way to him and stop him, this whole mess will end soon. You both just need to be very careful when traveling through this place, there are many dangerous creatures around here that will be looking for a fight." Nestor warned while he took out a map and handed it to them that had the locations of every world there was on multiple pages, and Spike put that away in his bag for safekeeping since it will come in handy.

"Don't worry about us Nestor! Just leave taking that ugly Gnorc down to us!" Spyro said confidently while Spike looked at him with a bit of concern.

"You seem really eager to take him down Spyro, any specific reason why?" Spike asked curiously while Simon and Sparx looked at him for an answer too.

"Come on Spike, I'm just really excited we finally get to go out and do something! We've been in this temple for too long in my opinion, and I'm just really wanting to see what else lies beyond this place! And if we have to take down a large brute like Gnasty Gnorc during it, then I'm all ready to get going!" Spyro said with a smile while Nestor chuckled seeing how eager he is to get going.

"I can understand why your eager to go Spyro, but don't think this will be a walk in the park, there are many worlds you will need to travel too, and I do hope that Spike here, will keep you from doing anything.. reckless?" Nestor asked as he looked to Spike who gave a thumbs up answer it.

"Don't worry, Spyro and I will be in this together, especially if it means my mother will be out there, even if she was encased in a crystal too, hopefully it will make it easier to find her." Spike prayed which remined Nestor of something he learned about in the interview before this.

"Oh, right! I almost forgot. If your going to try to find her, then try to be on the lookout for any strange hooded figures that are traveling around, they just might be her if their trying to put a stop to Gnorc and his plans too." Nestor advised which sounded simple enough since there may not be many left around for right now.

"We'll keep an eye out Nestor, anything else we should know before we set out?" Spyro asked while Nestor thought over it, and he soon remembered something to ask them since they were gone during the interview.

"Only one thing, I hope you don't mind me asking, but.. where were you two when we were all encased in those crystals? I at least expected to see you in the distance during it, did you find something important?" Nestor questioned which reminded them of what they found just an hour ago.

"Right! We did! We had found a strange cave on the far sides of the Artisans world, it was only able to be reached through an underwater cave that me and Spyro had to swim through, Simon was the one who lead us there, and we believe that place might've had a connection to my mother if she really is still out there." Spike explained which was really fascinating to him.

This news was interesting to Nestor to put it lightly, they hadn't heard of secret caves like this being out there since Spike's arrival, it was as if Spike's own mother was able to sense he had come here, and if she's leaving traces of where she lived, she may be on the search for him too if his theory is right.
"If that's possible.. then it could be that your mother is out there looking for you Spike, if that potion you took brought you here, then she might've found a way to track you through her own magic once you arrived. Purple Dragons like you two are very rare and have far more potential then any other dragon around here, so it's likely she herself may be using magic of her own to find where you are." Nestor theorized which was really important to know.

"Then.. do you think we may run into her during our adventure to stop Gnorc? Or at least see if there's any clues to where she could be?" Spike asked once again which Nestor confirmed.

"That seems most likely Spike, we may not know anything about your mother yet, but if she's a sorceress in anyway, then finding her will either make things easier, or more difficult depending on the situation. But if she's searching for you, I only hope that you can introduce me to her, so we can all finally figure out why you were sent to Equestria, a world none of us have even heard of." Nestor said as he stood back up and looked ready to get going himself.

"Don't worry Nestor, we'll make sure to keep an eye out for anything that could help us find her! You just focus on taking care of things here, and me and Spike will focus on exploring the worlds, and freeing the other Dragons before we take down that slimeball!" Spyro said eagerly which Spike agreed with since this may be his only chance in finding her.

"We'll make sure to free every dragon that was imprisoned, and if we have to fight some Gnorcs and monsters to do so, so be it! It may be fun either way! I may have just arrived here, but that will only make it more exciting since I'll be seeing what else these worlds have to offer!" Spike said with a smile while Nestor smiled proudly seeing their ready to start.

"Good, thank you Spyro and Spike. Please keep your Dragonflies safe while your out there, and they will do the same for you. I have some business to attend to, but feel free to stop by if you've found anything important, good luck you two." Nestor concluded as he soon took off into the skies to take care of things on his side, and with the two of them alone, they felt things were getting more exciting as they were now going on an adventure together.

"Alright! We're finally getting to go do something exciting! You ready for an adventure Spike?!" Spyro asked excitedly while Spike looked confident in this, and smiled back as he was eager to go to.

"Yeah! Let's do this!" Spike shouted with joy before they jumped in the air and gave eachother a high five and cheered as they started to begin exploring the place, wherever the other dragons were, they were gonna free them, and no matter what comes in their way, they'll be sure to put a stop to Gnasty Gnorc for good.

Thanks for reading this everyone! Sorry this chapter was pretty short, but I was also trying my best to get back into this story after my last post. I am very sorry I didn't update this story, as well as a couple of other stories for the rest of 2024, but I'm currently trying to figure out when I can update them since I want to get them done, I promise I'll update things more consistently since I have a lot of free time right now, and I hope you all can understand that.

I hope that despite this chapter being short, it was a good set up for Spike and Spyro going through the first game, while I plan on doing interludes between each game, I'm gonna try my best to make it feel like a fun adventure, I'll also make sure that Spike and Spyro meets Spike's mother when the time is right, and I hope your all interested in seeing where this story goes from here.
