Chapters I wake up from bed, my eyes having to change to get used to the light. It was going to be the best day at school ever: Take your parents to school day. I quickly got out of bed, and walked out to the kitchen.
There was the one pony who kept me going: My mom, Ditzy Doo. She was on a break from her mailmare job now, making me breakfast before flying out again to finish the job.
"Hey mom!" I said, embracing my mom. Ditzy looks down at me, and smiles. "Hello there, Dinky. Come on, I made you your favorite breakfast." My mom said, nuzzling my neck. "Oh yay! Muffins!" I said. We both went to sit down on the table.
We sat there, and we enjoyed our muffins. "So mom, are you going to come with me to Take Your Parents To School Day!" I said, super excited.
"Dinky, I promised I would, but I have to make a few deliveries first. I'll be there by recess." Derpy said. That made me a little dissapointed, but I shrugged it off. The clock rang, and that ment time for school. "Okay mom, love you!" I said, kissing my mom on the cheek. "Love you too, Dinky." Derpy said.
I grabbed my saddlebags, and headed out the door. Derpy stopped me for a second, and I asked," Mom, who is my dad?"
Derpy stopped for a second, and looked down at me," I will tell you tonight, how about that? For now, I'll tell you this. When your true potential is unlocked, It'll show itself."
It was a nice sunny day in Ponyville, and everyone was out and about, doing ... well, whatever they were doing. I saw the one of three friends I actually had, one of them being my mom: Spike. I trotted over to him.
"Hey Spike!" I said, walking next to him. "Oh, hey Dinky. Where's Derpy?" Spike said. "She has to make a few deliveries before she can come. But she'll be here by recess!" I said, smiling.
"Oh Spike, who is this?" A purple unicorn like me, only slightly darker in color said, who I guess was Spike's parent for the day. "Twilight, this is Dinky, Derpy's daughter. Dinky, this is Twilight, my caretaker, who I like to think of as my big sister." Spike said.
Wait, Derpy has a daughter? Why didn't I know about this?" Twilight said. "Did you ever ask?" I said, chuckling. "Well no, but ... oh forget it. Nice to meet you Dinky." Twilight said, holding out a hoof. I shook it," The pleasure is all mine." I said.
"RETARD!" One of the ponies said as he passed me. Twilight saw this, and instantly looked at me, a worried look in her face. "Dinky, are you alright?" Twilight said. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I said, confused.
"Well, that pony just," Twilight said, but I interrupted her," Oh that. It's okay, I got used to it. Just because my mom is cross - eyed, were different from every other pony, I guess." I said, sighing.

Twilight smiled, and said," You are a really brave filly, you know that?" I can't wait to see you at your full potential." I looked at her, and smiled.
All three of us walked in to the classroom, and Cheerilie said,"Alright everypony, take a seat at one of the round tables today." Everyone went to go get a seat, and I sat all the way in the far back corner, like usually.
"Uh, Dinky, where is Ditzy today?" Cheerilie said. Everypony turned to look at me. "She had to deliver some mail beforre she could come. She'll be here by recess." I said. Now I heard someponies laughing in the room.

"Of course, the blank flank's retarded mom didn't show up." Diamond Tiara said. I held in my anger, and Spike and Twilight came over to sit with me. "Oh, Well these activities are meant for families to do. Why don't you draw something while we do this." Cheerilie said. I nodded, and pulled out a notebook.
I began to doodle, and soon began thinking about my dad. "Who was he?" I thought to myself. I began drawing a picture of my family. When I was done, I saw magic envelop my notebook, and the notebook flew to Diamond Tiara.
"Oh look, Dinky wants to know who her father is!" She said laughing. Many other kids, and even some parents, began to laugh as well. I only layed my head on the table, telling myself not to cry, my anger still rising. Spike embraced me, and I was shocked. He looked at me, and said," It's alright. She's just stupid."

It was recess time, and Derpy flew in to the playground. "Hey Dinky, I'm here." Derpy said. "MOM!" I yelled, as I ran up to her, and embraced her. She embraced me back, and she said," How was time when I was gone?" "Horrible. The kids AND adults were picking on me." I said.
"Oh boo hoo. Little Dinky going to cry again?" Diamond Tiara said. I watched as my mom walked up to her, and said," Leave my daughter alone." "Shut up, retard. You probably can't even see me straight." My mom just walked back up to me, and sat there, crying as well. I found a good come - back to use, so I did.
"Thats right. I can't see you straight, the fillyfooler that you are!" I snapped back. Now Diamond Tiara was pissed," You should watch what you say, you monster." Now Spike stepped in," You leave them alone, you stuck - up whore!"
Now everyone there was watching, as Diamond Tiara walked up to Spike, and kicked him straight in the face. He flew back a few feet, and landed with a thud.
Me and Twilight ran over to him, and I stared at him. There was I giant bruise on his stomach, and scratch marks everywhere. He was bleeding from the gashes in his back. But I felt no sadness, I felt only the anger that's been building up since I started to be hated.
"Your next, dumbass." Diamond Tiara said, and she was about to kick me. But the hit never came, as my horn began to glow, and she was lifted into the air.
Twilight's point of view
I stared in awe, as Dinky eyes grew really red, and a purple-like aura was surrounding her. Dinky got up, and stared straight at Diamond Tiara, a evil smirk in her face. I watched as Dinky used her magic, and threw Diamond Tiara THROUGH the schoolhouse wall.
Diamond Tiara lay in a pile of rubble, and she struggled to get up. Dinky was now hovering, moving slowly towards Diamond Tiara. The ingured pony got up, and tried to fight back.
I watched in not horror, but with intrique, as Dinky's aura began to wrap around herself.
You instantly saw a bright flash of light, and Dinky had dragon wings, small and agile ones. You could see the sharp claws on her newly grown feet, and she was puffing out smoke from her nose.
Dinky picked up Diamond Tiara by the tail, and threw her outside again. Dinky flew outside, and landed next to Diamond. Diamond's parents began to run up to help their daughter, but Dinky sprayed fire all around her, trapping herself and Diamond in a circle of fire.
Dinky picked Diamond up by the neck. "I don't care if you insult me, BUT IF YOU EVER HURT MY MOM OR SPIKE EVER AGAIN, I WILL END YOUR PATHETIC LIFE! DO YOU UNDERSTAND! " Dinky yelled. Diamond Tiara could only nod, and Dinky threw her outside of the fire circle, Diamond's body landing with a thud.
Dinky flew out of the fire, and she was still puffing smoke. Just then, Princess Celestia appeared from behind me, and embraced Dinky. Dinky's eyes went back to yellow, and the aura went away.
Dinky's point of view
Celestia let go of me, and I looked at Diamond Tiara. "Good riddance." Was all I said, and then I saw Spike and Derpy, who were watching me in awe. "Spike! Mom!" I said as I ran up to both of them, and embraced them. They embraced back, and Celestia walked up to me.
"Dinky, you're probably wondering what you are about now." Celestia said. "Yes, I am." I said.
"Dinky, your father was a species of dragon called the Mimics. They were half pony, half dragon, and every one of them were better than even me at magic by your age. A Mimic was There dragon sides were only revealed when in an anger no one could control. Derpy should know, as she was married to one.
Your father was a Mimic, and him and Derpy fell madly in love. But not long after Derpy getting pregnant, the secret war started. Ending only 6 years ago, every Mimic in Equestria was wiped out, including your father. Your the last Mimic in existence, Dinky. You are special." Celestia ended.
I stared up at my mom, who was looking down at me. "Is all that true, mom?" I said. Derpy stares into my eyes," Yes. Everything she said is true." I just embraced her, and she embraced me back. "I don't care about any of that, I love you mom!" I said, starting to cry into her fur. "Oh, I love you too, Dinky!" Derpy said.
We backed up, and everypony started to clap, with an exeption of Diamond and her parents. "Dinky, you are not immortal, however. You will live up to the same time as Spike, and then pass away." Celestia said.
I nodded, and looked over at the time. "Oh, schools out!" I said, and Twilight walked up to us," Is there anyway I could study you for reasearch? I'll never get another chance again." Twilight said. I looked at Derpy, and said," Only if my mom can join." Twilight giggled," Of course she can come."
Me and my mom flew towards the library, and for the first time ever, I actually felt really happy.
We were at the doorstep of the library, and I happily gave Spike a ride on my back. Twilight teleported to her library, and she opened the door. The library was huge, and there were millions of books lined up along the shelves. "Welcome to my home." Twilight said.
Twilight levitated a clipboard and a pencil to her, and invited all of us to sit down on the couch.
"I'm going to ask both of you questions, and I want you to answer the questions in an honest manner. If any of them are too personal, you don't have to answer them. I'm also going to hook you up to a lie detector. A bing means its the truth, a fart sound means its false. Are we ready to begin?" Twilight said. "Ready."
Twilight hooked me up, and asked me my first question. "What was your first thought when you transformed?" Twilight asked.
"This is totally awesome!" I said.
Bing.
Right here, Twilight blew off the idea of reasearch, and decided to just ask questions that had nothing to do with it.
"Next question, what did you think when you saw Diamond Tiara on the ground after your transformation?"
"Bitch got what was coming to her." I said.
Bing.
"Okay, now these are going to get a little personal. What do you think of Ditzy?" Twilight said.
I looked at my mom," I have the best mom ever. Even if I can't see her often, she's the only mom I'd ever want." I said.
Bing.
"What do you think ponies will think of you now that you're half pony, half dragon?" Twilight asked.
"I don't care what anybody thinks." I said.
Bing.
"Ooh, I have a question. What finally made you snap?" Spike said.
I looked at Spike," Seeing you get hurt."
Bing. That made Spike blush.
"Okay, how did you instantly know how to fly?" Twilight said.
"I just flapped my wings, and it just happened." I said.
Bing.
"Okay, that's enough questions for you now. Could you please hook it up to Ditzy?" Twilight said. I took the lie detector, and hooked it up to my mom.
"Well, what do you think of your daughter now that her 'full potential' has been unleashed?" Twilight said.
"Dinky's the most beautiful filly I've ever seen, and I love how she finally stood up for herself."
Bing.
"Why did you hide this Mimic thing from us?" Twilight said.
"If I told you striaght up that I mated with a pony/dragon hybrid, and that my daughter was the last of it's kind, would you have actually believed me?" Ditzy said, crossing her arms.
Bing.
I took the lie dectector off of my mom, and hooked it up to Spike. "What are you doing?" Spike said. "I want to ask you a question." I said.
"Do you think of me as your friend?" I said
.
"Of course I do, Dinky." Bing.
Twilight's face got a childish grin on it, and she said," Who do you have a crush on?" Spike's face instantly got red, and he said," Well, everyone knows it's Rarity."
FART.
Everyone, including Spike, looked at the machine in shock. "Somebody's lying!" Derpy said. I really wanted to know, and I thought," Wait, my magic is stronger then Celestia's, maybe if I think hard enough." My horn glowed, and I was somehow reading Spike's mind.
"OH NO! How do I tell them about my crush on Derpy? She'll probably say no, and I'll just be heartbroken all over again, or she'll just want to remian friends. I still feel sadness from Rarity's rejection. Oh what do I do?"
I smiled, and Spike looked over at me, my horn still glowing. It took him a minute to realize what I did. His face instantly got redder and redder, and I just whispered into his ear," I think she likes you back."
His face as red as Big Macintosh, and he looked at the lie detector," This is too personal. I want out."
He takes off the lie detector, and just sits there. It was silent for a while, and I broke the silence with a giggle, and I lean on Spike. Derpy and Twilight were still confused.
"Dinky, did you read his mind?" Twilight said. "Mmmaaayyybe." I responded. "So who does he like? Tell us!" Twilight said.
I looked over at Spike, my horn glowing again. "Please don't." His mind said.
"I'll never tell. It's too personal." I said, a childish grin on my face. Derpy looked over at me, and I thought," If I can read minds, maybe I can," I was speaking to Derpy's mind.
"It's you, mom. Spike has a crush on you." Derpy heard in her head. She instantly looked over at me, and smiled.
She pretended to zip her lip, and throw away the zipper. Twilight saw this, and said," You can speak telepathically, too? Your already better at magic then me." Twilight said.
I smiled, and just snuggled in to Spike more. Twilight put the lie detector away, and we just sat there for a few seconds. "So Dinky, who do you have a crush on?" My mom said.
I blushed, and said, "Nopony yet. But that'll probably change soon enough."
Then Applejack came through the door," Hey people, it's Applebuck season again. Ya think y'all could help getting the apples off the trees?" Applejack said.
"Sure Applejack, we'd love to help." My mom said.
Applejack sees me, and says," Do I need to know?" I giggled, and put Spike on my back again. We flew towards Sweet Apple Acres.
