During the battle of Canterlot, all the Changelings are thrown out of the city, to their distant hive, which brings a certain pink mare's greatest secret to the light...

Pinkie had long hidden her species from her friends. As far as she was concerned, it didn't matter--she was still Pinkie Pie. However, with Cadence and Shining Armor not knowing, they accidentally banished her with the other Changelings. Pinkie, struggling to get back to her friends, has to work around Chrysalis, and her minions, on a trek across Equestria.

But as always, love finds a way.

Written for the 2024-non-pony Writing Contest. Also is part of the 'Alternate Views' series I've worked on in the past. Pinkie's went through a BUNCH of reworks, honestly, but the original one had didn't feel like enough of an 'Alternate view' so I discarded it (to top off that mindset, I don't think it'd have counted for the contest). Instead, we have the tale-as-old-as-this-site of her secretly being a Changeling. This one, contrary to a bunch of the other Alternate Views, is staring mainly in Equestria. I have no idea why I decided so many of them would be in the CHS universe, but this one I'd decided before the contest dropped would be in Equestria (though the original version was CHS).

No content warning to really speak of, aside from egregious amounts of references and Pinkie shenanigans. When I realized the general scope of the fic, I decided to aim for Everyone rating. Nothing is in this that couldn't have been in the show!
