Flash and Katie: The Living Chaquetrix
Chapter 1: She Came from Space
Space. They say it's the final frontier. In fact, there is so much of the universe that we don't know yet that we question whether or not there might be any other living beings out there.
One day is all it will take for that question to finally be answered.
Flying through space were two spaceships that are currently engaged in firing at each other. Neither one seemed to be letting up on the ammo. The smaller spaceship took a hit on its wing before it fired a blast back at the bigger one.
Inside the bigger ship are a few robots that are black and orange while an alien with a tentacle squid head felt the rumbling as one of the robots checked the readings on the monitors. "Hall damage 20%, but Weapons Systems are still operational." The robot told the alien in the chair.
"I've come too far to be denied!" The alien spoke in a deep voice that would send shivers down your spine. "The Chauetrix will be mine, and there's not a being in the universe that dares stand in my way!" He slammed his fist on the arm of his chair as his ship continued to chase down the smaller one for this ‘Chauettrix'.
Then at Canterlot High on Earth, Flash was doing some reading in his classroom on a book. It was near the end of the school year as it was about to be summer vacation as the clock was two minutes away from the final bell.
“Just wanted to remind you all, I will be teaching Summer school and it’s not too late to sign up.” Ms. Cheerlie told her students. "Plus, as you know our very own hometown band, the Rainbooms will be playing a very special concert downtown. It's not too late to get tickets for their concerts."
"Sounds great." Flash muttered before the school bell rang. “Well, that’s it for this school year.”
“Good luck to all of you and I hope I see you all again in the fall. Have a nice summer everyone.” Ms. Cheerlie said as her students walked out while Flash walked out down the hall as he went up to his locker and pick up the last of his things before walking out the door before seeing Sunset walking down.
“Hey, Sunset!” Flash called out as he walked up to her as Sunset turned and saw him.
“Oh, hey, Flash.” Sunset waved with a smile. “The school year is finally over.”
“Yeah, and I heard that you and the girls are gonna do a concert later downtown.” Flash said with a smile.
"Yeah, Rainbow thought it might be a good way to kick off our little summer tour and junk." Sunset mentioned with a shrug. "Plus we're bringing Wallflower along. Would you like to come?"
“When have I not missed a concert, especially to the Rainbooms?” Flash mentioned before a familiar blur ran past them before stopping in front of Sunset.
"Sunset, let's go!" Rainbow shouted with a firm tone. "We got to kick off our summer tour with an awesome concert starting here! Which means we got to practice before it starts!"
“Rainbow, will you calm down?” Sunset asked with a brow and a look. “The concert won’t start until tonight. Which means we got time.”
“Well, better late than never!” Rainbow called before she turned behind her. “Oh, hey Flash.”
“Hi, Rainbow.” Flash said with a brow.
"Now come on, I already got the others!" Rainbow exclaimed as she grabbed Sunset and raced off at super speed. Flash then let out a frustrated sigh as he felt jealous of Sunset and the girls. They have magical powers and have awesome adventures, but he feels like he's being left in the dust. He had one chance to help out during a snow day and ended up getting nailed by a bunch of snowballs.
“Sometimes I wish I could just have one adventure with awesome powers and a team of my own." He said to himself as he went out to his car. "I need to go for a hike later to clear my head." He said as he entered his car and drove off.
Flash was driving up the road as he saw the concert being set up with the Rainboom’s logo as he smiled. “The girls sure went big over time. Heh, like their friendship Princess Twilight showed.” He said as he drove further down.
Back in space, as the two spaceships were coming close to Earth, the larger ship managed to destroy the back part of the smaller ship. "The repulsion systems have been destroyed." The robot told the alien.
"Prepare to board!" The alien commanded. "I want the Chauetrix now." The smaller ship had given one last blast towards the bridge of the ship and severely injured the alien. The larger ship then gave a powerful blast that destroyed the entire scholarship as the head of it was launched forward. Something from the ship then came out and it looked like a missile before it broke apart and a round pod was heading straight towards Earth.
At a forest, Flash’s car was parked as he sigh sadly. “I wonder if an Equestrian Magic might come to me with something better with cool powers like the girls.” Flash wondered as he then walked into the forest. “But one that doesn’t turn me evil. Because I’ve seen plenty of those during those Magic Incidents that followed the Rainbooms. I wonder how their magic is for good while others are evil?”
Flash then stopped in the middle of the woods as he rubbed his head. “Why am I asking these questions? I hardly know anything about magic.” He said to himself. “Let alone figure out how they work compared to the things I saw. I think Sunset is more of an expert than the rest of the Rainbooms.” Flash then noticed something entering the atmosphere as it almost looked like a shooting star. "Huh, I must be lucky tonight." He closed his eyes and made a wish on it. "I wish…I wish I could have amazing powers like my friends so I could help others."
When he opened his eyes, flash saw the falling object suddenly making a turn right towards his direction. His eyes widened with fear before he quickly started to run away from it before it crashed right into the ground.
“Whoa!” Flash called as he rolled across the ground before he looked up and saw a crater on the ground. “Okay, that is no star.” He said as he stood up and walked up to the crater as he saw the pod from space in the middle as it glowed. “Is it some kind of satellite?” He asked with a brow before the pod stopped glowing and the spot Flash was on cracked and he fell into the crater with a yelp and a grunt. “Just my luck.” He muttered.
Flash stood up after rubbing his back before getting curious and walked up to the pod as it then opened up to reveal a glowing pink watch with a heart button and two heart symbols on the dial as it glowed pink next to another pod that is the size of a human. “A watch and a pod? What were they doing in outer space?” He questioned himself. “First Equestrian Magic and weird devices from space? This town just keeps on getting more and more strange by the day.”
Flash got closer as he looked at the pod and the watch suddenly turned into a liquid and jumped right onto left wrist. He quickly jumped back as he was completely freaked out when it did. "GET OFF ME!! GET OFF, GET OFF!!" He shouted as he tried to pride the watch right off his wrist, but with no luck. The watch then made a strange beeping sound as did the Pod next to him.
“What’s happening?!” Flash questioned as he kept trying to get the watch off, not noticing the pod gave a pink glow that caused a beep as he climbed out of the ditch and ran off. “Help!” He yelled.
When Flash ran, the pod opened up as the smoke covered up a bare pink headed woman with some purple spots on her arms and legs with two line devices on her pink hair while having a similar symbol to the watch Flash has on her right thigh of her leg. She had large double e size breasts as she was completely naked before she opened her eyes. She looked around with a curious look before turning to where Flash ran off too.
“Chauetrix signal detected. Must follow the host.” She said as she stood up as black and dark-purple clothing then formed around her. She climbed out of the ditch and walked off to where Flash went.
The Rainbooms were out on the edge of the forest as they were getting everything ready for their concert later before Rainbow noticed Twilight was looking out in the distance. "Hey Twilight, focus!" She exclaimed.
"Sorry, but I just saw the strangest occurrence. Twilight mentioned with a confused expression. "I just saw some sort of meteor falling from the sky before it suddenly made a turn in a direction. Like a sudden right turn."
“Maybe you’re just seeing things.” Sunset said with a shrug. “Shooting stars tend to make you look in certain directions when you miss them.”
“I wish upon a shooting star to have an endless supply of sweets!” Pinkie cheered as the Rainbooms looked at her in amusement.
“No surprise there, Pinkie.” Applejack said with a chuckle.
“Okay, guys! Let’s get back to practice! We got a concert to perform later!” Rainbow called out to them before she flinched when she saw them giving her looks, reminding her about something. “Right. Watch my ego. Got it.” She said sheepishly.
Twilight however looked in the direction where she saw the object fall with a concerned look. "I know that I wasn't seeing things, and why do I have this weird feeling something big is going to happen?" She said to herself.
At the forest, Flash then started poking the watch with a stick to try and pry it off, but the stick snapped as he looked at the broken remains as he gave a groan. “Though, I give up. This thing is attached to me like a second skin!” He exclaimed as he fell to his knees and looked at the watch. “What kind of watch is this anyway? It’s not an ordinary time watch for sure. It doesn't even tell time.”
He then wondered about the button as his curiosity got the best of him and he ended up pushing said button. This caused the ring to suddenly pop up to reveal a pink core, much to his surprise. "Whoa!" He looked around before he looked at the watch before the two hearts suddenly merged together to form one heart and an icon suddenly appeared in the middle of it. "Okay, that's kind of cool." His finger suddenly hovered above the core as if his body was on autopilot before he pushed the core down.
A bright pink light then suddenly flashed as it blinded him for a moment before it died down. He then looked around as he saw nothing before he looked at the watch and saw that the color of it was suddenly white. "And that was weird." He said to himself. “Why did it suddenly show an icon and a flash and then suddenly turn white?” He questioned as he tried to turn it on again, but nothing happened as it just gave a beep. “This is getting weirder.”
He then got up to leave as he continued to stare down at the watch, only for him to bump into something. "Oof, sorry about that…?" He trailed off when he saw what he bumped into.
In front of Flash was a femme shaped fire creature with her back turned as she turned her head to reveal her flaming head with a black color with the watch symbol on as Flash then screamed loudly while backing away from her. “A MONSTER!” He yelled.
“What?! Where?!” The fire creature called as she turned her head around, which made Flash look at her in confusion.
“W-What?” Flash questioned with a brow. “Well, you! You’re on fire! You’re a fire creature!”
The fire creature looked at him for a moment before she started screaming and running around in fear. "I'M ON FIRE!!! I'M ON FIRE!!!" She screamed which only made Flash even more confused.
“Wait! Why do you suddenly feel like you’re on fire when you didn’t just a moment ago?” Flash questioned her with a confused look.
“You’re right.” The fire creature said as she looked at her flaming hands in wonder.
“What are you?” Flash questioned in wonder while taking a step back.
“What am I?” The fire creature asked as she looked at herself. “I-I don’t remember…” She said while looking at herself.
“Mmm…” Flash hummed for a bit before he snapped his fingers. “I know what you are. You’re a superhero.” He said with a smile.
"Really?! Awesome!" She cheered before she had a confused expression on her face. "What exactly is that?"
"You mean you don't know that either?" Flash questioned with a brow.
"No."
"Well, to put it in simple terms, a hero is someone who helps people and has powers that normally people don't have." Flash explained. "A female superhero would be called a heroin, like you.”
“Really? Wow, that sounds amazing.” The fire creature said with a smile.
“And since you’re a fire creature, you might have fire base abilities.” Flash said to her.
“Really, like what?”
“Well, let’s see if you can shoot fireballs.” Flash suggested as he gestured to a tree. “Why not give it a shot on that tree for a target?”
The fire creature looked at the tree before giving a determined look before she stood her ground and thrusted her hand forward with a finger pointing out. A small fireball was then launched from her finger and blasted a piece off of the tree. "Wow, that was hot." She said with a grin. "I wonder what else I can do." She then put her hands together as she created a much bigger fireball right between her palms. "I'm loving it more and more!" She then threw the fireball at a bunch of other trees as she had an excited smile on her face.
Flash chuckled before his eyes widened at the flames. “Wait, stop!” He called as the fire creature turned and realized what she did as the two then saw the forest being lit in flames. “That was too much firepower!” He called as he rushed up and started stomping on some flames to put it out. “Help me put this out!”
"Uh, okay!" The fire creature tried to stomp out the flames, only for it to grow brighter every time she tried to stomp it out. "It's not working!"
“Of dang it! You're a fire base! It just makes more flames from your leg!” Flash called as the two stepped back as the flames went up even more. “Oh, man. We’re so gonna get busted for this.” He said nervously.
“Who’s gonna bust us out here?” The fire creature asked while looking at the forest fire in fear as the flames went up even more.
With the Rainbooms, they are packed for their concert just as Wallflower arrived to help with the equipment. As she helped Sunset set things up, Fluttershy looked out and saw the smoke. “Oh my. Looks like a forest fire.” She said in concern.
"Whoa, when did that happen?!" Wallflower questioned when they saw the smoke.
"Whatever happened out there, we gotta put it out before the whole forest burns!" Applejack exclaimed before she opened a trunk and pulled out a few fire extinguishers. "Y'all take these! And it's a good thing you showed up, Wallflower, because we're going to need all the hands on deck!"
“I do love plants. Let’s go!” Wallflower called as they rushed off to where the fire was.
Once they ran into the forest fire, they all started using the fire extinguishers to put out the flames as the Rainboom spread out as Sunset went further down as she kept putting out more flames as she could. “How could this have happened?! Did someone set up camp here and forgot to put out their campfire?!” She questioned herself.
"Let's just put out the fire before it gets out of control even more!” Twilight called out as she used her fire extinguisher to put out some flames. As she was doing this, she didn't notice the fiery creature with her back turned to her before she hit the fiery creature with the foam of the fire extinguisher.
"Hey!" The fire creature yelled out after feeling the foams. “Watch where you point those things!” She called, but then she saw Twilight’s and the rest of the Rainbooms', along with Wallflower's expressions as they stood there in silence before they screamed. “Whoa, easy there, girls. I’m a--” She was cut off when Rainbow shot foam at her again that pushed her back and made her fall to the floor as she coughed it out.
"What in tarnation is that thing?!" Applejack asked Sunset as they pointed the hoses at the creature before her flames reignited.
“I don’t know! It’s not an Equestrian Creature I’ve ever seen!” Sunset answered.
“Equestrian? What’s that?” The fire creature asked before she was hit by foam again by Wallflower. “Will you cut it out!?!” She called with an annoyed look as her flames reignited again.
“Sorry, but we don’t talk to freaks like you!” Wallflower retorted before the fire creature sent a spark to her shoes, causing it to go into flame that made Wallflower scream and hop on one leg as she put out the flames on her shoe.
"Oh, you're going to get it now!” Rainbow shouted as she reeled her fire extinguisher back.
"Wait, don't hurt her!" Flash called out as he quickly ran in and stood between them.
“Flash?!” Sunset and the others asked in shock. “What are you doing here?! Get away from that thing!” Sunset said.
“No! She’s with me!” Flash said to them, which surprised them.
“Wait, can you repeat that?” Rarity asked with a brow.
"Look, it's a long story but just a few moments ago this meteor fell from the sky and almost crushed me.” Flash started explaining. "But it wasn't a meteor, it looked more like some sort of pod with another one next to it before one of them opened up with this watch thing before it suddenly jumped onto my wrist.” He told them as he showed them the watch on his wrist. I was trying to get it off before I noticed the button on it and well, after the ring popped up and I pushed it down, she appeared out of nowhere!"
“He explained to me about this heroine thing and well, when I tried to practice a fireball or two on some tress, I sorta, well, this happened.” The fire creature said while gesturing to the forest fire.
“Wait, you caused it?!” Fluttershy asked in shock.
“It was an accident!” The fire creature called before Applejack spoke up.
“We’ll deal with this later! We got a fire to put out! And no, not this creature, Rainbow, the forest fire!” Applejack quickly called.
“I get it.” Rainbow said.
“So, how do we stop this?” The fire creature asked.
“You girls wouldn’t happen to know water magic, right?” Flash asked with a nervous look.
“Not really, Flash. I wish we did.” Sunset muttered nervously before Twilight got an idea.
“Backfire." Twilight said. "Start a new fire and let it burn into the old fire. They'll snuff each other out. Think you can do it?” She asked the fire creature.
“I can try.” The fire creature said as she rushed out far to the forest while the rest of the group ran out of the fire. The fire creature soon made it to a different part of the forest before she concentrated and unleashed a wave of flames to create a backfire. After some time, the flames went out on each other, saving the forest from burning down.
In space, the larger ship was still in orbit of Earth as a bunch of drones were making repairs on the outside of the ship. Within the spaceship, a drone stood in front of a large tube before a bunch of wires pulled up the alien who was badly injured as his right arm was completely destroyed while the rest of his body was in pieces.
“What do you mean the Chauetrix isn’t aboard!" The alien wheezed out. "This battle nearly cost me my life…and you say it's not on board the transport?! Explain…"
"Sensors indicate that a probe was just launched from the transport just before boarding." The droid told him. "Landed on the planet below."
“No one will have the Chauetrix but me…” The alien wheezed before he looked towards the back of the room where a large shadowy figure stood. “Go… retrieve it for me…”
Back on Earth, Flash and the fire alien were huddled around the campfire near the Rainboom’s van as they were roasted marshmallows. “So you’re telling us that this watch of yours somehow launched itself into your wrist and when you mess with it, this creature appeared?” Wallflower asked as Pinkie tossed a marshmallow to the fire creature, who roasted the marshmallow to perfection just by holding it.
"And she doesn't even know who she is or what exactly she is.” Flash mentioned as the fiery creature ate the marshmallow.
"Mmm, gooey." She said with a smile.
"Almost like she had a blank slate and she woke up for the first time, like a newborn baby." Twilight theorizes while rubbing her chin.
“How did you know that?” Rainbow asked with a brow.
“Because when I made a robotic dog for Spike, it was a blank slate before I taught it a few tricks.” Twilight said with a proud smile while the others gave her weird looks. "What? Don't judge me."
"Well I think Pyra is cool." Pinkie mentioned with a smile.
"Who's Pyra?" The fire creature asked her.
“Why you, silly!” Pinkie said with a cheerful smile. “I figure we give you a name since you’re literally on fire.” She added with giggles.
“Pyra? I like it.” The fire creature now known as Pyra smile.
“Well, now that we’ve given you a name, we still have a problem.” Flash spoke up. “Like, what are we gonna do with her? Because this town may have gotten used to magic, but what will they say if they found out an alien landed on Earth?”
“Alien?” Applejack questioned with a brow.
“Hey, from having a watch and an alien pod falling from the sky, I have a feeling Pyra is an alien like this thing.” Flash said while gesturing to his watch.
"I guess because she's nothing like I've ever seen before in Equestria.” Sunset mentioned. “In fact, I would never see a creature like her in Equestria at all."
“Still, what are we gonna do?” Flash asked while looking at Pyra. “The scientists might dissect her and experiment on her for being an off worlder.”
“I’m sure we’ll figure something ou--” Twilight tried to say, but they saw the symbol on Pyra’s neck begin to beep as a red flash blinded them for a bit before it died down and Pyra was nowhere to be seen. "...out… Where did she go?"
“That’s weird. She was here a moment ago.” Flash said before he saw that his watch is now red. “Red now? That’s weird.”
“How is that weird?” Rarity questioned with a brow.
“Well, when it got on to me, it was pink and when I slammed the core down, it was white when Pyra appeared, but now when she suddenly vanished, this thing turned red.” Flash explained while pressing the button, but nothing happened as it gave a beep.
"Okay, can someone please say weirdness?" Rainbow spoke up before pointing at the watch. "Because we can all agree that it is no ordinary watch."
"Um guys, I think someone's coming." Fluttershy spoke up when she noticed something out in the distance.
“Is it another alien friend?” Pinkie asked excitedly as Wallflower gave a look.
“I hope not. That was freaky.” Wallflower said before coming out of the bushes was the girl from the alien pod walking up to them. “Huh, it’s just a girl. That’s a friendly sight.”
The girl looked at the group with just a blank stare before she noticed Flash wearing the watch and smiled. The things on her head then lit up as holographic bunny ears appeared while she walked up to him. "I think you may have spoken too soon.” Sunset whispered to Wallflower. “And what's with her body?"
"Not to mention her outfit, it's quite revealing." Rarity added before the girl suddenly pulled Flash in for a hug and locked lips with him.
The girls were shocked, and so did Flash as he quickly pushed her off him with a huge blush. “What are you doing?!” He questioned in shock while wiping his lips.
"Hello host, a pleasure to meet you." The girl spoke with a mature warm tone.
“Host?” Sunset asked in confusion. “Flash, who is this?”
“Don’t ask me! I don’t know her!” Flash said while raising his hands. “I don’t even know where she came from!”
"I'm…" the girl started before she stopped with a confused expression. "Wait, what am I again? My memory is damaged… but how?"
“Your memory is damaged?” Rainbow asked with a confused look. “What are you, a machine?”
"I…I don't think so…" the girl said before she went over to Rainbow and grabbed her by the arm. She then forced Rainbow to grab hold of her right breast as they were all completely shocked about what the girl just did. "Do I feel like a machine?"
“Okay, what’s up with you?!” Rainbow questioned as she moved her hand back with a huge blush. “What are you, heated or something?!”
“Well, I do have this weird feeling.” The girl said with a wonder look. “Just, felt the need to do that and others.”
"Is that why you kissed Flash all of the sudden?" Pinkie asked her.
"Flash… is that the host's name?" The girl asked as she looked at Flash.
“Okay, you kissed me when you don’t know me, but why are you calling me host?” Flash questioned with a weird look. The girl smiled before she put her right leg up on a log as they could see a familiar symbol on her thigh. “Isn't that…?"
“Yes. The Chaquetrix. You are wearing it, which makes you my host.” The girl said with a smile.
"The Chaquetrix?" Twilight repeated before she looked at the watch. "Is that with watches called? What else do you know about it?"
“I can summon your alien comrades that stored their DNA inside it for a short amount of time before they go back into the Chaquetrix when it needs a recharge.” The girl explained. "The list right now is only ten of them, and I'm afraid I don't remember how many more there are."
"Ten, there are ten alien girls in this thing?" Flash questioned before Pinkie grabbed him by the arm and got a closer look at the watch.
"They must be really tiny before you summon them." She commented before she looked at the girl. “How does that even work like that?"
“How. it’s very simple, you press the button, the core pops up, then select an alien by turning the dial, and push the core down, and they come out.” The girl explained. "Or I can bring them out by turning into them if you like."
"Whoa, wait an apple picking minute!" Applejack spoke up. "You can turn into these aliens? Now we know that you're bonkers."
"No it's true, but I'll have to be turned off when I turn into one of them as their subconscious will overrun mine." The girl explained before she looked at Flash with a smile. "Would you like a demonstration?"
“Uh, maybe?” Flash said with a weirded out look.
The girl nodded as she stepped back a bit before she then kneeled down to her right leg and turned her symbol a bit before she stopped on a symbol and pressed the symbol down. A bright pink light then blinded the entire group before it died down and the girl was by a slightly taller orange haired dog like creature with a black suit and white lines with huge breasts as she had gills on her neck and no eyes on her.
“Okay, you’re not bonkers.” Applejack said in shock, as were the others.
“Wow. Talk about a huge dog.” Pinkie commented.
“Spike would be shocked to see this.” Twilight added as the alien girl let out some sort of sound like a wild animal.
“I don't think she can talk." Sunset mentioned before Wallflower noticed something about her.
"And I don't think she has eyes.” She said as she walked over and waved her hand in front of its face. It didn't even flinch when Wallflower was doing it and could tell she was right.
"Um, hello?" Flash spoke up to the alien dog girl thing. "Can you understand us?"
The alien dog girl then gave a slight roar with a nod. “She said, yes. I can understand you.” Fluttershy translated.
“You can understand it?” Rainbow asked Fluttershy before Fluttershy pointed towards her geode. “Oh yeah, you can understand any animal. Since this thing can understand us, how can you see anything with no eyes?"
The alien dog girl let out another roar as Fluttershy listened to every bit of it. "She said 'I can see just with my sense of smell, I think.'" She repeated to the others. “She's just like Pyra, she doesn't know who she is or anything about herself."
“Yeah, it’s also their first time when they were first being used.” Twilight theorized with a brow. “Maybe we should have asked that girl about it before she transformed into that.”
“Well, maybe we can help her out.” Flash said as he walked up to the alien dog girl and gave her a nice scratch on the head, which surprisingly, she enjoyed. “Heh, since she’s an alien dog, all dogs love a good scratch.” He said as the alien dog girl then lifted one of her legs up and her big muscle tail wagged in bliss.
“Aw, she’s such a cute dog.” Fluttershy said with a smile before the alien dog girl started to sniff the air. She then let out an angry growl as she stood on all fours like she was about to attack. "Or not…" Fluttershy squeaked nervously as she stood behind Applejack.
“I think she got something.” Sunset said before the alien dog girl then jumped up to the trees with inhuman speed and pounced right on saucer like drone as it fired a laser and nearly hit the group. “What is that thing?!"
“Don’t know, but take cover!” Flash called as they all ran off for cover to avoid the lasers as the alien dog girl started chewing on the metal piece of the saucer before clawing on it. It broke into many pieces as the electrical currents then went dead as the saucer and the alien dog fell to the ground with a crash. "Holy smokes, she tore that thing to shreds…" the alien dog girl then went up to Flash and licked his cheek with a smile. “Okay, okay. Thanks. Down, girl.” He said with chuckles as the alien dog panted with a smile.
“Okay, I’ll admit, that, was, AWESOME!” Rainbow cheered with sparkles in her eyes.
“A bit crude but impressive.” Rarity commented before a laser suddenly blasted the alien dog back as she whimpered in pain. They then turned to see another drone flying towards them as it seemed to be scanning each one before it locked on to Flash.

"What could be the matter, darling?" Rarity asked.
"Well, only the transformation function of the watch can time out but the summoning function cannot." Katie told them. "The reason why they disappear is because I have been sending them back into the watch for safety reasons. I just feel like if any others found out about them…"
"People would hunt them down and dissect them." Sunset finished with a calm tone as the others turned to her with a disturbing look. “What? Haven’t any of you guys seen alien movies?” She asked with a shrug.
"So, they can stay out as long as they want until Flash chooses another?” Wallflower asked Katie.
“And if he wants to send them back into it if he wants to, correct.” Katie nodded. “But they shouldn’t be out too long, for their own sakes and to keep the secret.”
"Well, why don't we find somewhere safe for us to meet them?" Twilight suggested. "You know, somewhere remote and Flash could bring each one of them out and we get to know them and they would get to know us."
“How about the middle of the forest in a clearing.” Fluttershy suggested as she pointed to a clearing deep in the forest between the mountains. “With the mountains and trees as covers, no one will spot us there.”
"Good call, Shy." Applejack replied before steering the RV towards the clearing. Once they reached the spot and set up camp, Katie felt a little nervous before Flash placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You okay?" He asked her.
“It’s just… a little uneasy about it, you know.” Katie said with an uncertain look. “About this whole thing. And the other aliens, well, like Pyra, Wildgirl, XLR8 and Crystal, they might not know themselves after first being brought out.”
“Hey, we’ll make sure they are welcome and taught.” Flash assured with a smile. “We taught four and we taught you, so I think we can handle the others.”
"Okay, we have everything set up and no one is around." Twilight informed the others. "Everything is ready to meet some aliens." Katie took a deep breath before she lifted her leg and turned the dial on it.
"Okay, let me bring out the ones you've already met before bringing out the others." She told them as she programmed Pyra before she slammed her symbol down, which blinded them from the pink light.
“Not gonna get used to that anytime soon.” Spike said while rubbing his eyes. Just as the light died down, Katie was still there but Pyra was standing before them.
"Hey Pyra, how do you feel?" Flash asked the fire alien.
“Refreshed and well rested.” Pyra said with a smile. “So, what did I miss?” She asked.
“Nothing much.” Pinkie answered with a smile.
“Okay, time to bring out the others.” Katie said as she went to the dial on her leg again. After a couple of minutes, Crystal, Wildgirl, and XLR8 appeared as they looked around.
"Nice to be out and about, really gives me a chance to stretch my legs." XLR8 said while she did a couple of stretches. "Yo Rainbow Dash, did you say you wanted to have a race after your concert?"
"Maybe after we meet the others." Rainbow replied with a shrug as Flash activated the watch.
"Others, what do you mean by others?" Crystal asked as Wildgirl tilted her head in confusion.
"Just wait, give me a sec." Flash mentioned as he turned the dial. "Which one should I bring out next?"
"Here, let me do the next one.” Katie said as she took his arm and turned the dial to show some sort of an icon that almost looked a little frog-like. "Try this one first."
“Well, okay.” Flash said with a shrug before he slammed the core down as a pink flash briefly appeared, but then after it faded, they saw nothing around. “Uh, shouldn’t an alien appear or something?”
“Maybe it was a dud.” Rarity thought.
“I highly doubt that the smallest lifeform with the big brain is called a dud, miss.” A small and slightly high-pitch voice spoke up as they looked around in confusion.
“Uh, who said that?” Wallflower questioned in confusion.
“Below you! Down here!” The voice spoke up as they looked down and saw a 6-in tall frog-like alien with two antennas coming out of it’s head while wearing a black and white suit that shapes like an hourglass while it’s feature appeared to be a female. “Greetings.” She said with a wave.
The others looked down in surprise before Rainbow burst out laughing while holding her guts. “Ohohohoh! T-That’s the smallest alien I’ve ever seen!” She exclaimed in amusement.
“Uh, that is rude to consider my ambition being to be called small due to your big huge body, especially from what I see, your overgrown ego.” The small alien said with her arms on her hips. "And I would have you know that I am an average height for your average Galvin."
"Galvin, is that your species?" Twilight asked the small alien with interest. "How would you say your intelligence is?”
“Much higher than any other normal beings. Like the smartest beings in like four, maybe five galaxies.” The Female Galvin said with a shrug.
"She sure is full of herself." Pyra whispered to Crystal, who nodded in agreement while Wildgirl leaned down and sniffed the small alien. The small female alien had a disturbed look when she felt sniffed before jumping on top of Wildgirl's head.
"Could you please don't do that, it's a bit disturbing for me." She asked before getting a good look at her. "Interesting, she clearly resembles a Volpamancer but left more of a humanoid than your own species."
“That’s because her holder is a human.” Katie spoke up while gesturing to Flash. “His name is Flash Sentry.”
"Oh my." The small female alien said with interest after seeing Flash. "And seems just the age as well. And who are the rest of you?"
“Why, darling. We’re--” Rarity tried to say before Rainbow butted in.
“We’re the Rainbooms!” Rainbow bragged with a smirk. “I’m Rainbow Dash. And these are our friends, Fluttershy, Rarity, Sunset, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle, and that’s Spike, her dog.” She gestured.
"And the female humanoid with the green skin?" The female alien asked while pointing towards Wallflower.
"Oh and she's Wallflower." Rainbow quickly introduced with a small blush before quickly went over to Wallflower. "Sorry about that."
“Pleasure to meet you.” The small alien said with a nod."So, I assume you brought me out for another purpose?"
"Well, we wanted to get to know you, Graymatter." Pinkie told her.
“Graymatter?” The new alien now named Graymatter repeated as she rubbed her chin and gave a smile. “I can stick to it.”
"Thanks, I just thought of it since you're so smart and everything." Pinkie Pie explained.
"So, I assume you also want to get to know the others inside the device?" Greymatter matter asked with a brow.
"Yeah, actually you're the first one to come out other than Pyra and the others." Flash mentioned before he tried to activate the watch but nothing happened. "What's going on?"
"Uh, the Chaquetrix needs a bit of time to recharge before you can use it." Katie told him while rubbing her arm. "It takes about like five minutes or so."
“So for the other six aliens, we have to wait for 30 minutes each time?” Sunset questioned.
“Pretty much.” Katie said with a sheepish look as the others groaned tiredly.
“This is gonna be a long day.” Spike muttered.
As the group waited for the watch to recharge, they got to know the five aliens that were out as they got to know their interests and everything about them. They can already tell that XLR8 is an athlete like Rainbow Dash, Crystal is a cool headed warrior as she seemed to talk Flash a few training scenarios, Pyra is a kind-hearted kind of alien as she is very warm to be around, Wildgirl seems obedient and strong as Twilight and Graymatter was trying to teach her how to talk since she's part human.
After the Chaquetrix is recharged, Flash is scrolling through the aliens. “Alright, let’s see who’s next.” He said as he searched through the aliens before stopping at a four-armed alien. “Hey, this one is strong and cool.” He said.
"Even I'm kind of curious as to what she looks like." Applejack mentioned. "Go for it, partner."
Flash nodded as he slammed the core down as a bright pink flash appeared. After it faded, a four-armed red muscular woman alien stood tall. She had long black hair with some sort of metal headband on her head while she had four orange colored eyes as she had a muscular figure with large e-cup size breasts. She was wearing a skin type suit that had a black and white color with a black strip going down her front.
“Whoa! Where am I?!” The four-armed alien questioned as she looked around and noticed the group. “And who are you supposed to be?! Some punks in need of a punch?!” She said as she cracked her four hands.
"Whoa there, there's no need to fight!" Twilight quickly spoke up. "We're just here to talk, nothing more!"
"As if I lower myself to your pathetic level." The alien replied with a smirk before Applejack walked up to her.
"Hey, don't you go and insult my friend like that, you hear?!" Applejack told the four-armed alien woman.
“Oh, and what are you gonna do about it, weakling?” The four-armed alien smirk.
"Hey, let's not try to escalate things right now." Flash spoke up which caught the four-armed alien's attention. She looked back at Applejack then at him, then at the other girls before crossing all four of her arms.
"So, you wish to claim me to your expanding harem?" She questioned which caught the others by surprise.
“Harem?” Pinkie asked in confusion as she scratched her head. “I don’t know what a harem is.”
"Pinkie, a harem is a bunch of women that are with one guy." Sunset told her with a massive blush on her face. "We have something like this in Equestria, only we call it a herd."
"She is a Tetraman." Greymatter mentioned. “The most strongest and most impressive engineers in the galaxy that nearly rivals the galvans. Make the indestructible engine blocks. But the females of the species are stronger than the males, so they're considered like royalty amongst them and they're only devoted to the male who defeats them in battle.”
“Girl power.” Rainbow said with a smirk. “I like that.”
"And I guess you won't cool it unless you're beaten." Applejack questioned the muscular alien before tipping her hat.
“That’s right.” The tetraman alien said with a nod. “So if any one of you, or your man here, can beat me, I will be devoted to you.”
Flash gave a nervous chuckle as he looked at his watch still timed out. “Well, I don’t have the muscles to compete with you, so… uh… Applejack?” He asked with a nervous smile.
"No need to ask, partner, I got this." Applejack told him with a confident tone. "So why don't we take this somewhere else so we don't wreck the place?"
“I’m okay with it.” The Tetraman female said with a smirk. “You are so going down and be squash like a grape.”
“We’ll see about that, partner.” Applejack said with her knuckles cracking as the two walked off.
“Something tells me that these two will get along well.” Rainbow said with a smirk.
"That is if Applejack will survive." Wallflower mentioned nervously. “I mean, did you see how strong she looked?"
“Pfft, Applejack can lift a boulder with a finger on a nail.” Rainbow waved off before they heard a loud thud coming from the distance. Applejack was then seen flying towards them before she skied to a halt.
"Not a bad left hook she's got there." She mentioned as the others saw a black eye on her face.
“Ooh, that had to hurt.” Fluttershy said with a cringed as Applejack stood back up and wiped her lips.
“Let’s try this again.” Applejack said as she marched back into the forest.
“Uh, you think she can handle many hits?” Flash asked the other Rainbooms in concern.
"Maybe while she's taking care of, what should we call her?" Wallflower asked the others.
“Well, she is big and has four arms.” Pinkie said before she smiled widely. “Four Arms! First try!”
“Doesn't that sound a bit cliche?" XLR8 asked with a brow.
“It was either that or Handywoman, but it doesn't sound as cool.” Pinkie said with a shrug.
"Okay, so how about bringing out another one?" Sunset asked Flash. "It's already been five minutes."
“Okay, let’s check the next one out.” Flash said as he turned the dial and it showed an icon that is just a straight up figure with big hands and stump feet. “Huh, this is interesting.”
“Well, go ahead.” Rarity insisted as Flash slammed the core down as a pink flash appeared. Then a big blob that is black on the back and white on the front side with purple highlights that looked like circuitry with a female feature and d-cup breasts as it gave a female groan.
“W-Whoa. Where am I?” The alien asked while holding her head as her voice was a bit techno.
"Ah, a Galvanicmechamorph." Greymatter mentioned with a proud tone. "That one is an excellent choice."
“A galvanic what?” Wallflower asked in confusion.
“They are species that were created by galvans that can merge with any machinery to either control or enhance them into something better.” Greymatter explained.
"So you would know what she can do?" Sunset asked before she noticed Rarity had her phone out. "What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to check on Sweetie Belle, but I can't seem to get any service out here." Rarity explained before Greymatter jumped on her shoulder.
"I believe this would be a good opportunity to show you what a Mechamorph can do." She mentioned before gesturing it to the techno alien. "Please give your communication device to her."
“Well, okay.” Rarity said as she gave her phone to the Mechamorph, who looked at it before she then suddenly entered Rarity’s phone as it fell to the floor. “D-Did she entered my phone?!”
"Wait for it." Greymatter told her before the purple circuitry started to spread on the phone. Soon, spider legs came out of the phone before it stood up and looked up at Rarity. "Mechamorphs are able to absorb and expand anything that they could get their hands on. They can even manipulate or upgrade the technology that they're controlling."
"It's very useful when you need your phone upgraded." Katie mentioned with a slight giggle.
“Now that is a work of tech evolution.” Twilight said with glee.
“And an upgrade for them too.” Rainbow said before her eyes widened. “Upgrade…”
“Stop that.” Sunset said with a brow.
"Oh, I got something better!" Pinkie called out with her hand raised. "Ultra-T! That way it makes her sound more female."
“Well, I’m keeping Upgrade for me, but Ultra-T for her, sounds right.” Flash said with a shrug as a text message appeared on Rarity’s phone.
"Oh, seems Sweetie sent me something." Rarity mentioned as she picked up her phone. “Oh, she said she’s doing fine. Her and her friends are watching the movies. Good for her.” She said with a smile as Ultra-T came out of her phone. “Thank you, Ultra-T.”
"No problem." Ultra-T replied with a happy tone before they heard a female yell out in the distance. They looked up and saw Four Arms being flung in the air and coming back down with a loud thud. "What was that?"
“Applejack winning.” Rainbow said with a smirk. "Or losing, depends on what's going on over there."
"I will check it out!" XLR8 exclaimed before she raced over there with super speed.
“Wow, she’s fast.” Ultra-T commented before XLR8 came back.
“Guess what, Applejack’s winning. A few bruises and scrapes, but winning.” XLR8 quickly explained. "Although before I left I saw her in a headlock."
"Yikes…" Twilight winced. "So… just three more aliens."
“R-Right.” Flash said as he moved the dial to show an insect like-alien. “A bug alien? That’s a new one.”
“Bugs! Ew!” Rarity cringe in disgust. “Don’t use that one.”
"Uh, if you think bugs are gross, then you might want to plug your nose for when she comes out." Katie mentioned with a nervous look.
"What do you mean by--" Twilight asked before Flash already pushed down the core and a flash of pink light blinded them. When the light died down, it revealed a giant fly with four eyes, but its body had a humanoid female feature with a d-breast while two pincers acted as legs. “Ugh! That stinks!” She called as she and the others covered their noises while Rarity and Fluttershy tried their best not to puke.
“Now we see why.” Wallflower said while covering her nose.
“I think we all know who we’re calling her.” Rainbow said while still covering her nose.
“Stinkfly.” They all said in unison.
“Seems fitting. I love that name.” Stinkfly said with a smile.
“Glad you like it.” Pinkie said with a cheerful smile. “But woo, you stink! Literally.”
“Eh, somehow that feels normal to me.” Stinkfly said with a shrug.
“We can see that.” Fluttershy said with teary eyes. “But, uh, can you maybe, uh if you don't mind...”
“Yeah, I know.” Stinkfly said with a nod as she flew up and got some distance as the others sighed in relief that the stink was out of range. “Don’t worry, it’s not fatal, but it is gross.”
"It's fatal to my nose." Rainbow mentioned with a cough.
“Okay, that was a quick one.” Flash said as he looked at his watch as he waited for 5 minutes before it was ready to go again. “Okay, so let’s see what else is on here.” He said as he then turned to a fish-like alien. “Mmm, this one looks like a mermaid. Let’s see if--”
“Wait, don’t use that one.” Katie quickly said, which made the others turn to her. “That alien is a waterbase. It can only be on land for a short time, but without water to breathe, it won’t survive. And from what I’m seeing, we’re miles away from any water of a lake or river, let alone an ocean.”
"Hang on, Greymatter, Ultra-T, I'm going to need some help here." Twilight mentioned with a smile.
“Sure thing.” Greymatter said as she and Ultra-T went up to her.
After a few minutes, the three walked out of the mobile base as they held up a breathing tube that had a tank full of water. “And here we are for our waterbase friend.” Twilight said as she placed the breathing tube down.
“What is that?” Sunset asked in confusion.
“This is a little something Twilight came up with.” Greymatter said with a smile. “With this breathing tube and water traveling in the tubes, our water alien friend will survive on land as long as she wears this.” She explained.
"It took us a while, but we managed to make a compound that is similar to ocean water." Greymatter mentioned before she noticed Applejack and Four Arms limping towards them. "So which one of you won?"
“Well, the proper term for it is--” Four Arms tried to say before Applejack cut her off.
“I did.” Applejack answered as Four Arms slouched with a look at her. “I beat her. And she’s part of the group now. But I gotta say, you ain't half bad.”
"You either, Flash Sentry is truly worthy to have you." Four Arms replied with a proud look.
“Uh, thanks?” Flash said with a brow before he went back to his watch. “Okay, time for the next alien.” He said as he activated his watch and slammed the core down as pink light appeared.
When the light died down, they were greeted by a greyish and black silver humanoid fish with e-breasts and jaws and a black cover to form a mermaid tail as she gasped as she held her neck. “C-Can’t breathe! W-Water! Water!” She cried out as she struggled to breathe.
“Here!” Twilight said as she quickly put the breathing tube on her back and put the two tubes on her neck where her gills are as water started flowing. “How are you feeling?” She asked as the fish-alien started breathing normally.
"I can breathe, so I'm good so far.” She replied before looking at the group. “Now who are all of you?"
“We’re your friends.” Flash said with a smile. “And we just wanted to get to know you.”
“Well, that’s great to hear.” The fish alien said with a smile.
“Okay, we need to give you a name.” Flash said as he rubbed his chin as he noticed her jaw. “Wow those jaws can really rip through anything.” He said before his eyes widened. “Ooh. Ripjaws. Heheh, see what I did there? Heh. Okay.” He said with a chuckle.
"Why you call her that?" Rarity asked before Pinkie Pie came out with some cupcakes.
"Here, I have a feeling some of you would want something to eat.” She mentioned with a proud smile.
“Mmm, oh, sweet! I’m starving!” Ripjaws said before she grabbed a few cupcakes and her jaws opened up wide enough as she ate them in one bite as she chewed them, which made the others shocked and surprised by this.
“See? Ripjaws.” Flash said with a smirk.
"Yeah… it definitely fits." Wallflower mentioned nervously.
“And I thought I was a picky eater.” Pinkie said with a chuckle.
“Well, that appears to be all the aliens. So--” Flash cut himself off as he did a headcount. “Wait a minute. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9… There’s only nine aliens.” He said after countain the aliens present. “Shouldn’t there be ten.”
"Uh yeah, there's one left but I have to be honest, the last one kind of scares me." Katie mentioned. "She… she's kind of different from the others, a lot different."
"What kind of different are we talking about?" Sunset asked her.
“Uh…” Katie started with a nervous smile as she walked up to Flash, after waiting five minutes, the watch recharged as she activated and sent it to the last icon. “A ghostly kind of different.” She answered as she showed a ghost icon.
This made the others nervous from that. “Um, can we skip this alien, please?” Fluttershy asked fearfully.
"There's no skipping considering she's the last one." Rainbow pointed out.
“I’m getting a bad vibe from that.” Spike said with a shudder.
"Hey, we can't just judge her without even getting to know her." Flash mentioned. "Even you girls have to admit that too."
"He's got us there." Pinkie told them.
“Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Katie said as she backed away.
“Okay, here we go.” Flash said as he hesitated to slam the core down at first before he smashed it down as pink light appeared. Then appearing was a ghost-like alien with c-cup breasts and swirly ghost-like hair that covered one of her eyes as they glowed purple. “Whoa, spooky.”
"Uh…hi?" Wallflower greeted the ghost-like alien who just let out a sigh in response.
“Do I know you?” She questioned in a hiss tone with a bored look, which send shivers down their spines.
"Okay… she's the gothic type." Rainbow whispered to the others as the ghost-like alien held up her hand above her head.
"It's too bright out here." She said before passing right through Sunset, Twilight and Applejack, which caused them to shiver from that as she went over to some trees.
“Okay, that was unpleasant.” Applejack said with a shudder.
“She definitely a ghost who is a bit freaky.” Spike said before his eyes widened as he gave a dull look. “Yeah, Ghostfreak. Seems fitting.” He said dully.
“No argument here.” Rarity said in fear before they saw Flash walking towards her. “Are you sure that's a good idea, Flash?"
“Do to past experiences of you girls not even trying to talking to new people, is there any other options?” Flash questioned her with a brow.
“Fair point.” Rarity conceded as Flash walked up to Ghostfreak.
"Hey, is it okay if I call you Ghosty?" He asked her before sitting down next to her.
“Whatever. Call me whatever you like.” Ghosty said with a shrug while looking at her nails. "What do you want?"
“I just wanting to know what you can do and if you join us. But after seeing you just a few moments ago, I have a few ideas.” Flash said while rubbing his head. "So, how about you tell me about yourself? Like, what are your interests?"
“I’m interested in spooking others and haunting while also terrifying them when they see me when I wanted to look good.” Ghosty said while still giving the same expression.
“Heh, the talents of a goth combined with a ghost.” Flash muttered in amusement. “Now I’ve seen everything and pretty awesome.”
“You think so?” Ghosty asked with a brow.
"Well yeah, in fact there's a lot about you that seems cool." Flash complimented with a warm smile which caused her to blush a little. “So, you ready to be greeted by the others?”
“S-Sure.” Ghostly said with a smile as she and Flash went off to great the others.
Soon night fell as Flash and the girls got to know the ten alien girls better. It seemed they've gotten all along as they liked their common interests and such. Katie even told them about the watch and everything. “So, we’re all aliens inside a watch, and you will train us to use our powers, to become these heroes you’re saying?” Stinkfly asked.
“That sums up the whole thing. Yeah.” Sunset said with a nod.
“Well, I say count us in.” Ultra-T said with a glee in her tone. “I always wanted to make things better. Both literally and figuratively.”
“And it will help us master more of our abilities.” Greymatter noted.
“And to know more about this planet, and ourselves.” Ripjaws added.
"It would be nice to have a few fights now and again." Four Arms mentioned before punching Applejack in the arm. "I wouldn't mind every match with you at any time."
“Oh, it is on, partner.” Applejack said with a smirk.
"Plus me and Rainbow have a race to see which one of us is faster." XLR8 mentioned with a slight snicker. "Which is me."
“Yeah, right.” Rainbow said with a challenging smirk. "But you better get ready to eat my dust."
“And it would be nice to have a smart alien or two around.” Twilight said as she looked at Greymatter and Ultra-T.
“And it would be great to meet new friends!” Pinkie cheered while holding Ghosty and Ripjaws close to her.
“Well, I wouldn’t mind.” Fluttershy said as she petted Wildgirl. “But it will be some time to adjust.”
"Hey, we've gotten used to Magic, so what's different adding aliens to the list?” Wallflower ask.
“Magic is usually a thing. So aliens takes time to adjust.” Rarity said with a brow.
"Well, everyone is an alien, no matter where you are if you really think about it." Greymatter mentioned.
“She does have a point.” Flash said with a shrug. “Okay, everyone. Tomorrow, we hit the road. But I think you’ll have to be put back into the watch for now. Because the RV don’t have enough room for this many. Especially one that is one fire.” He said while looking at Pyra and the other aliens.
"Okay, but I want to try something." Pyra mentioned before she stood up. "I think you're going to like this very much." She then took a deep breath before the ends of her hands lit up and she threw a massive Fireball into the sky. Soon that fireball burst as it exploded like fireworks before the words 'Team Chaque' appeared in the sky.
“Whoa! How’d you do that?!” Rainbow asked in awed while the others looked up at it.
"Well, I had a feeling that I was always able to do it, this is just something I got down." Pyra mentioned with a proud tone.
"That is very impressive." Twilight complimented.
“I have a feeling this summer will be even more fun in this group.” Wallflower said with a smile.
"Yeah, very fun summer." Katie whispered as she and the other alien girls looked towards the Flash with a bit of heat rising in both their cheeks and another certain area.
“Y-Yeah. A very fun one.” Flash said in stuttered, having a feeling that this summer will bring the heat, both figuratively and literally.
