A Bloody Timberwolf Attack

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

A few months after I’d arrived, I’d begun helping out around town, getting preparations for the Canterlot wedding which was nice. Defeating so many changelings wore me out big time, so I started training hard, asking Rarity to make me a custom outfit was tricky as I’d never worked with a seamstress before. I’ll try to describe it as best I can, though.

It was a sort of martial arts gi that showed my chest and upper abs. The shirt was white with gold trimming while the pants were secured with a black belt and gold buckle. The shirt was tucked into the belt. To go with the gold buckle, I had gold earrings, a solid gold necklace that snuggly fit around my neck while not strangling me, almost like a choker. To match that as well, I had solid gold bracers that came halfway up my forearms. On the left side of my uniform, I had Rarity embroider the letters “DC” into it in gold. I felt it was appropriate. A fitting outfit for the warrior of Equestria.

As I was helping Applejack move some boulders for her next crop of apple trees, I hear a scream from across town. A scream coming from Fluttershy’s cottage.

“Get the girls and meet at Fluttershy’s. I’m going ahead of you!” I yell to Applejack and she nods, running immediately.

“I’M COMING FLUTTERSHY!!!” I roar, flying over to the cottage as fast as I can.

“DC!!!” I hear her yell as she flies as fast as she can away from the timber wolves. I get over head as i see one jump on top of her and she stops, laying still. My rage explodes as the light of the Slayer returns, enveloping me in a brilliant blue aura as I fly down to her. The timber wolf who jumped on her runs away and as it does, I see blood on it’s maw, dripping from it’s teeth.

“Y-you bastard...!” I yell, my eyes turning red slowly as the blue aura around me turns a bloody red.

“DC! Stop! Don’t give into it!” I hear Applejack yell as she arrives with the girls.

“Please, don’t let that thing win! You’re stronger than he is!” Twilight adds.

An evil hiss erupts from the air, saying ”No he’s not. He can’t even save his beloved from a timber wolf... He’s too weak... Too slow... And now I have to clean up this mess...”

My body changes to from a lively green to a cold crimson red and my hair to a dark charcoal black as I tear into the forest to hunt down every single timber wolf to kill them all.

After the demon charges, my body lays there on the ground, a shell of it’s former self as the good and evil halves split in two. I lay there and cry for being too weak... Too slow to save her. Wait... Save her!

“Applejack, help me to Fluttershy. I still might be able to save her.” I yell softly, no strength in my body. I crawl forward with whatever little willpower I have left.

“How do you plan to do that? That... Thing took all the power you had.” She retorts but I shrug it off.

“Not everything. I developed it a month ago. An absolute last ditch effort to preserve her life. The down side is that my life will possibly end if I’m not careful. When she’s alive, take me to Celestia. Tell her I said to take me to the beginning. She’ll understand what I mean. Now, are you going to help me?” I ask, still struggling to crawl.

She helps me over to Fluttershy’s body and I look it over, seeing a deep gash in her neck,

“FLuttershy, it’s time you woke up. Come back to your guardian angel.” I say before glowing the brightest shade of green and kissing her lips. As I kiss her, the green starts to flow into her body and hover the gash, slowly healing it to where no mark is left. I continue to kiss her until her eyes open and I finally break the kiss, smiling sadly that i had to miss our reunion. My body rolls onto it’s back, the light gone from my eyes. One final sentence falls from my lips before I’m gone...

“I love you, Fluttershy.”
