Monstruos: The Monsters of Equestria

It was another day in Equestria and Discord has recently just had a tea party with his best friend, Fluttershy. Now of course he never quite minded a good chaotic time even if it can be downgraded a bit. But today it felt off, he never minded this but he just felt like something bad was going to happen and he didn't know why. He feels a foreign energy somewhere in the old Ponyville cemetery where he feels something bad happened. So wondering about the potential danger he wanders into the graveyard where everything stands still as if frozen in time.

But it wasn't, as he starts to find three instances of dried blood on the rocky paths of the graveyard. He has been alive since the universe was created and he knew just from looking at it, that it wasn't done by one being it was multiple. He walks a bit more wrapping his head around as he then finds a grave that looks too recent. So he pulled out a literal pair of X-ray goggles to look through in order to not mistake this for a recent funeral. But he sees that it was recently dead, it was a stallion and it looked like he was stabbed...... with a shovel?

(Unknown) "Así que has descubierto lo que pasó, ¿no?"

Discord spins around and sees a figure that seems to be the size of an adult stallion with a cloak on and a rusty shovel in his hoof as he digs into the ground in front of a big building full of gifts and peace-giving objects.

(Discord) "Who are you? And can you please speak in Equestrian at least I didn't understand you."

(Unknown) "So be it, but I've asked that you've figured out what happened to him haven't you?"

(Discord) "Not entirely but if I had my suspensions that you are the one who caused this massacre, correct?"

(Unknown) "You are not wrong, for I was the one who killed the one in that grave."

The cloaked figure points to the grave where the body inside resides.

(Muerte) "As for my name, you may call me Muerte,"

(Discord) "Well "Muerte" why are you here in these sacred grounds? And if it was you that did that poor fellow in the grave, then who killed the others?'

(Muerte) "Aye, it is the monstrous they are ravengous and dangerous and are powerful creatures."

(Discord) "Not as powerful as me."

(Muerte) "Of course not but they are deadly and are the ones responsible."

(Discord) "So where do I find these creatures anyway?"

(Muerte) "Here, tonight I promise you, and if you wish to hunt these creatures down I suggest that you bring a group".

(Discord) "And why is that?"

(Muerte) "Because you will need it." Looking to Discord revealing his skeleton face underneath for a brief moment before walking into the building and disappearing. Discord was shocked by his skeleton appearance and watched as he went in before heading back home via the snap of his talons. However, as he left a sound was heard one which was not by Discord as he left.

Later that night......

Discord was back at the cemetery but this time he was not alone. He was able to convince Starlight, Trixie, and Thorax to come with him. He was also truthful, telling them about his encounter with Muerte and what he saw under the hood. He also mentioned the bodies and one buried fresh as well. Either way they were all there now and they walked through the grounds as Discord and the girls provided light.

(Starlight) "Oh... you weren't kidding about the dry blood, it's all over." She said as she looked around the ground seeing the blood on the floor and while disgusting, tested if it was.

(Trixie) "Trixie does not like this one bit, and she is not usually scared n-not at all!" Starlight looked at her with a "really?" face as Trixie sheepishly smiled back.

(Thorax) "Yeah, Discord you were lucky that my brother was able to cover for being in charge of the hive."

(Discord) "Of course, of course, but I just thought that last time we teamed up was quite incredible so I thought that doing this with you guys would boost my confidence quite a bit.

(Starlight) "Really?"

(Discord) "Of course! I didn't forget about our journey through the hive and while it was quite nerve-racking, we still prevailed with the cost of me and Trixie getting caught.

(Trixie) "Of course, Trixie agrees that it was indeed a worthy sacrifice which did give way to victory, and the medals were the cherry on top."

The four agreed as they continued they began to notice that this place felt different. It felt bigger and noticeably more tombstones than before as they looked left and right they saw row upon row of them. As well as seeing buildings that weren't there last time Discord came. Finally, they arrived at the building where Muerte was last seen and indeed he was there as he continued digging into one of the graves. At first, Muerte did not notice them until he finished and saw the group in front of him.

(Muerte) "Ah, I see that you have taken my advice, good now you are ready to face these creatures and bring them to "justice".

(Discord) "That's right you said they would be here tonight. So where are they then?"

(Muerte) "Why they are inside and within you will face them and you must survive in order for what you came here to do."

(Starlight) "Alright then let's do this." They began to walk through the entrance into the mausoleum and disappeared within.

Muerte looked down beginning to chuckle a bit before straight laughing out in bellows before stopping and continuing to dig. While the wind began to blow harder and beginning to rain. Lightning and thunder soon began as well making the cemetery more spooky.

(Muerte) "Por ahora, seré tu guía. Pero eventualmente, vendré por ti, y francamente, no tendrás ninguna oportunidad. Sin embargo, con el grupo con él, usted puede ser capaz de sobrevivir después de todo."

Saying to himself as he entered the structure himself. Now the reformed group who have gone through ups and downs throughout their lives were about to go through a world of monstrous. And they may have a chance in this world.... even without magic.
