Tartarus Divers

A theme plays over an anouncement message that reads:

Equestria
Public Service Announcment

As the logo fades to black, a long shot of a planet is shown as the camera begins moving towards the sun and new music begins to play

"Equestria"

"Our Home."

The scene cuts to a cookie cutter series of exotic new age houses with green yards and clean windows

"Mama! It's starting!" A little thestral filly yells, not turning away from the screen as it continues to play, her face less than a hoof length away.

A voice comes echoing from somewhere else in the house, "I'm coming! I'm Comin!"

"Prosperity"

"Liberty"

The scene cuts to a blue and silver toned earth pony, waving to their neighbor

The dark grey and dirty yellow maned filly remains enraptured by the motion on the screen, mouthing along the words as the screen pans again.

"Democracy"

They say in unison, the filly whispering it with reverence

"Alright ya siren." A griffon came up behind the filly, "Let's have a look he-"

The filly barely turned her a head to the side and went, "SHHHH!"

The griffon just shook her head and sat behind the filly, pulling her into a hug and away from the television. The filly settled backwards, sitting upright in the larger creature's embrace as the screen continued.

The scene quickly shifts from a simple cut life shot to a horror scene as the blue earth pony's family get's slaughtered by a giant black chitinous monster and the pony screams in an unreadable emotion recognizable as 'acting'. The screen freezes, and the same pony walks onto the screen from the side as big letters take up the screen as it fades grey, they read: Invasion

"Look familar?"

"Scenes like these are happening all over the galaxy. Right now."

"You could be next."

"That is; unless you make the most important decision of your life."

The filly began wiggling in her mother's hug in excitement, clearly having seen the announcement before.

The scene instantaneously changes to a greenscreen flag of their homeworld, with the blue stallion now covered in armor.

"Prove to yourself that you have the strength and the courage. To be free."

"Join."

"The Tartarus Divers"

As the announcement continues, the filly jumps up from her place in front of her mother, clapping and jumping around as the screen shows 'Tartarus Diver' activity. Eventually running around her mother while making zooming noises, coming to a stop to cheer when a massive bug had its head strategically removed by a rocket launcher.

The filly stepped up towards the screen again as the music hit its crescendo. Speaking with the screen as it spoke to her.

"Become a hero."

She looked at the figure on the screen, imagining her reflection on it underneath the helmet.

"Become a legend." She whispered to herself at the same time the announcement did.

Reaching out to touch the screen, an already solidified dream was reinforced in the heart and soul of Diver.

"Become."

"A Tartarus Diver."
