It may be choppy but it's the best I can do so here we go". I'm at my computer taking a break from my job at the construction site. Finally I can take an hour break from work, every day it's work, do the bills and go to bed, get up the next day and go to work again. No break time in between. See with my job I don't get any breaks and only get 6-7 hours of sleep a day. I work all seven days of the week. That's why a break for an hour is soo good. And I get paid about 8$ an hour. So I make enough barley to eat. Let alone I'm bound by contract to work for the company. I also live in a three room house with my bedroom, the kitchen, and bathroom. Right now I am watching the first episode of My Little Pony. In my room there's a mirror behind me and to the right near the door. My room is in a L shape. The door is at one end of the L with the mirror next to it, The bed is in the corner where the two parts of the L connect. With a book shelf up against the desk for the computer. Where the empty space of the L is is a closet. I'm in the middle of the video watching the series for the third time, to see the finer details in the show. when I get a text on my phone. “What's this?” I reach for my phone and look at the text. (hey we need you at the construction site.) "Aww come on i've only been off for freaking 14 minutes. Man can they do anything without me there I mean there's other workers that can be supervising. I need a break. I barely get any as there is". I get up and out of my office chair and turn off the computer. I then walk over to my dresser and get my gear on. which is two jackets, with the first being camo with 5 pockets. one pocket being on the inside of the jacket. This first jacket is ripped where two of the bottom pockets are useless because they have massive holes in the bottom. And the top two pockets on the outside have holes where they can't hold any change. And the arms of the jackets, the right where the wrist is, has a hole going half way across all the way to the other side. And where the elbow is there's a massive hole patched up with fabric on the inside. The hole goes from the elbow to ¼ of the way in both directions. While the left had a small hole where the wrist is. I then put on the second jacket that doesn't have sleeves and has four more pockets. With one having a zipper this pocket is on the left side near the heart. I'm also wearing blue jeans with two pockets in the front and two in the back, and wearing a belt with a pouch on the side that's camo for holding some cash and tools. The pouch has two pockets, one used for cash, the other used for batteries and other things. I head to the door to leave my room, and I glance over at the mirror to check if I look alright for work. but the mirror on the wall isn't showing anything like a black void. See I got this mirror from my parents because it is a family heirloom and they wanted me to hold on to it for a while. "Huh that's weird it isn't supposed to be black". I go up to the mirror to get a better look and place my hand on it to see if it's spray paint. When my hand touches the mirror it gets dragged in. I try to escape to pull my hand out but end up getting sucked in. Blackness and pain that's all I felt and saw. I groaned and tried to open my eyes but everything was fuzzy. My body felt all weird like parts of my body are in places they shouldn't be or shifted from one place to another. I laid my head back down to think. "What happened to me?"... Lets see I was in my home and going to work when, the mirror. The mirror……? "THE MIRROR SUCKED ME IN!" When my eyes finally clear I can see I'm in a dark forest. I look at myself to see why I feel so weird. When I look down I can see that I have orange fur… I look at my hands to see hooves. "Why do I have hooves? And why do I have fur?" Starting to freak out I quickly look back at the rest of my body to see wings with blood red feathers. When I looked closer at the feathers. going thro the center of feathers are light blue lines curling back five or six times. The lines looked a lot like the wind symbols. The blue lines were glowing slightly. When my eyes go further back I can see a fox tail that's slightly darker orange than the rest of my fur. ‘Have I become a horse? If so, why do I have a fox tail?’ I felt an itching feeling on the top of my head, and when I looked up I saw a horn. but there was something wrong with the horn. It looked broken. But I couldn't tell because it was hard to see. I looked around at my surroundings again and looked for anything that has a reflective surface. When I didn't see anything I tried to calm down. When I was calm I closed my eyes to see if I could hear anything. I heard a faint sound of a stream nearby, so I tried to stand on all fours. I managed it but when I took a few steps I fell down and hit my head. I got back up and slowly made my way to the stream going into a lake. But not without falling six or seven more times. When I FINALLY got to the stream I looked at my reflection. I could see I have a muzzle that looks a little like a mix with a horse and a fox. My muzzle has a black part that's like a fox's nose but it's shaped like a horse’s. I got a better look at my horn. and it was broken with pieces of it floating in between a gap in the middle, the top and bottom parts of the horn that are like you will see on a normal pony. are connected with light blue magic the gap in between. One third of the horn was the blue see thru magic. Then while I'm looking at my horn. It started to go into my head and disappeared. Like it was never there. I looked back to my wings and the blue glowing stopped and the lines of blue were gone too. I looked back to the stream and I had pony ears. And big pony eyes with fox slits. "Ok soo is this like one of those my little pony fan fics? If so, I should be near Ponyville right?" I try to fly and manage to get five feet off the ground. then end up making a mistake falling back to the ground, about an hour later. Finally I got above the trees to see only forest. I tried to turn around and almost messed up but managed to catch myself. "Man in the show they make it look so easy." I look and all I see is more forest. "Is it never ending?" I squint my eyes and see a mountain with a castle on it. "Man, so I am in my little pony. I was starting to worry that I wasn't. At least I have something to go off of now." I start to fly to the mountain when something hits me in the wing and I fall to the ground. "What was that?" On the ground I look for what hit me and I find a stone with a fox carved into it. The fox is curled up into a ball laying its head on its tail. "What's this" I go over to grab it with my hooves. But when I touch it everything goes black. When I open my eyes I'm in a clearing with a rock in it with a fox sitting on it. There's blue wisps circling around the fox on the rock. Leaving little blue trails behind them. ‘Ok what's going on first I get sucked into a mirror. Then I get turned into a fox alicorn, then I lose my horn. Then I get to see that I'm in the middle of a forest. And knowing my luck it's the Everfree forest. And finally I get hit by a stone with a fox carved into it. but there's nothing to throw such a stone. And when I go to pick it up to get a better look. I get transported here wherever here is. and now I'm here....’ "WHAT'S GOING ON!" I look up to see that a fox is in my face. Mere centimeters from my muzzle. "Ekk!" I jump back around three feet falling down on my flank. "What do you want!" "FoxFire I need you to go near the exit of the Everfree forest. Then I need you to go two miles in the forest. So you could build your home there." "Why? Why do you want me to do this? Why can't I go into Ponyville and live there?" "You will see as for now farewell. I'll see you tomorrow. Said the mysterious magical fox staring right into my soul with its Indigo eyes" I tried to ask why the fox knew my name but everything went dark. I opened my eyes to see I was in the same place I tried to touch the stone. I looked for the stone but it was gone. “Can this day get any weirder?” I ask myself before heading towards Ponyville. Time skip 7 hours later It was starting to get dark. I was on the edge of the Everfree forest and I could see Ponyville. Weirdly I didn't run into anything bad on the way. No Timberwolves, no manticores, etc. I tried to leave the forest but when I crossed the edge of the forest I ran straight into a wall and fell back on my flank. "Oww" I said while holding my bleeding nose/muzzle with a hoof. " What's this?" I bring my hoove up and push Against the bearer, my hoove hits the barrier like a wall. "Really a wall? Is it just me? That can't go thro....." I grabbed a rock and threw it at the barrier and it went right through like nothing there. Then I look to my right and see a rabit walk thro the barrer as if its not there. Great, I can't just go to Ponyville. Now that I take a closer look at Ponyville, It's missing most of the buildings from the show. "Ugggggg" well might as well do what that fox said. Even though I didn't want to, I turned around and headed two miles into the forest. When I got that deep in the forest. I found a clearing with a tree in the center. When I got close to the tree I found a den of foxes. ‘Now that I went two miles inward, what am I supposed to do now???’ I look around for anything to give me a clue when I get nothing. I sake my head and look for somewhere to rest. when nothing presents itself and the only place to rest is a hole in the tree. I crawl into the hole to find out that there's foxes in the hole sleeping together. I got closer to the foxes. Weird enough foxes didn't even care. They acted like I wasn't even there. I'm not one to complain so I just laid down next to the foxes to rest and fell asleep for the night. chapter 1I woke up to find myself in the same clearing with the fox on the stone. "Why did you send me here? Why did you want me in this clearing with the foxes? And finally why is there a barrier to Ponyville? That I and only I can't cross? And where did my horn go??" "To answer your questions in order. You were overworked and about to die from overworking yourself. And you're a good soul and everyone was taking advantage of you. Plus I need your help and Equestra needs your help. Second is to change the foxes into fox ponies like you but you're an alcorn fox pony. They can either be a unicorn, a pegasus, or finally a fox fox pony. The answer to the third question is it's not time. Fourth question is your spirit magic. You see, while normal ponies can use magic fox ponies of all types can use their spirit as a connection to magic. But be warned the spirit magic has to always have some in reserve or you will die. It's connected to your spirit after all." Said the fox with a roll of his eyes as if it would be obvious. "Now I need you to gather as many foxes as you can and build a home here. And before you say it's bad on the foxes. What you're doing makes it so the foxes can think on their own and make their opinions known. Not to mention the life of a fox in these woods is around one to two years. You will be increasing their lifetime by many years and making their lives easier. Also these woods, the Everfree, are unstable since nightmare moon. Portals to other versions of my little pony will open. I need you to contain these. I will train you so you can contain these portals. And if you want you can go into those worlds connected with this one and fix them. But be warned there's worlds with Solar Flare, and Nightmare Moon, zombie apocalypse, etc. Now I'm going to leave you to do what you can but I will always be here if you need help. By the way, I suggest you first learn magic to find safe food. Bye." and everything turns black. When I open my eyes I see that the foxes have changed, all of them are of each race. But they did have similarities: all of them had fox slits and big pony eyes, And all had fox tails two. Now there were Two pegasus, two unicorns, and three fox fox ponies. When I leave the cave they all come out with me. I look back at the fox ponies. "do you have names? or will I need to give you names?" The pegasus foxs start with their names "My name is: Blaze" Blaze has a bright orange like a campfire coat with dark purple eyes with a white tail tip. "My name is: Sara" Sara has a dark purple coat with lime green eyes with a white tail tip with the leading tip of her wings being a light blue. Then the unicorn foxs "My name is: Arora." Arora has a horn, blue green coat with pink eyes and has a dark brown tail tip. "My name is: Wisp." Wisp has a horn, cyan coat with a dark blue eye. The other eye starts as red at the top and ends at a light blue at the bottom. The tail tip is a dark blue almost black. Then the fox foxponys i think or thats what im going to call them at least. "My name is: Zeak" Zeak has a forest green coat with silver eyes. And a light brown tail tip. "And mine is: Sofea" Sofea has an autumn yellow coat with rust brown eyes. And a white tail tip. I look over at the last fox pony for his name when he says nothing I ask. "Well what's your name?" “*sniff*” "I don't have a name." This last fox foxpony is completely black coat with bright orange eyes with a bright orange tail tip. "How about I give you one? Is that ok with you?" "Yes…." "Hmmm. How about Zan?" "No." "Pip?" "No." "Shadow?" "Yes, I like that name." Says Shadow while doing a little dance. "Ok your name is now Shadow." "Now I think it is time to get to business. If we are going to survive in this forest. That is, I want Sara to help Arora, and Wisp in the air. Arora, Wisp I want you to go find good food that is edible for us. I know we're ponies now. But that doesn't mean we can only survive on grass. Also Blaze, I need you to find clean drinking water. And be careful we're in the Everfree-Forest. if you feel you're being watched then come back here. It's more important for you to be alive than your tasks. You can always get your task done. But we can't revive the dead. And that goes for all of you, stay safe." Once the four of them were off I looked at the last three. "Sofea I want you to clear land for farming with Zeak. I also want you two to make a moat around where we are staying. The moat needs to be three of you deep and seven wide. Me and Shadow will try to make the den bigger. And before you ask, a moat is a tunnel/hole that goes around a structure." And off we went. At the hole for the den: "soo how was your life before you became a fox pony Shadow?” I asked while working on the entrance. "Well for me it was surviving in the forest and barely getting any food. You know we all had to leave the den to get barely enough food to eat. I'm so glad that you came along to help us out to make our lives easier." "You seem oddly accepting of this. Why are you and the other not fighting against me taking command? I mean I just came out of nowhere, slept in your den, and now telling you guys what to do. And that's not considering. I changed you all into ponies or some type of hybrid." "You see….umm, What's your name?" "There's another reason for you guys not to trust me. I haven't even told you my name." "And your name is?...." says Shadow with a wave of his hoof. "My name is well… I think it's best to call me FoxFire, But my actual name is Drew." "Well you see FoxFire. The reason is because there was a prophecy. That a fox with pony features will come and help all of the foxes in the forest bringing them to safety. So we may live anew. This fox will either bring great good or great evil upon Equestrea. That's why we did what you asked, Because we wish to live without hardship and fear any more." Said Shadow turning to look at me with hope filled eyes. "Ok let's finish this up quickly so we can check on the others progress." Time skip to three hours later… "This looks nice." We made more room in the main room and made a small storage room on the side. The room is now big enough to fit all of us inside and four more fox ponies. But the room is still cramped. "Hey Shadow can you dig this deeper? I need to check on the others progress." "Ya, see you later FoxFire." Came a happy reply from Shadow. Once I was out of the den. I looked around to see the two other fox ponies Zeak and Sofea. They have just finished clearing the land for farming, and now started with the moat. I looked over to the left to see Blaze flying over. "Hey boss…" "Call me FoxFire, Blaze." "Hey FoxFire I found water you see," Blaze points toward the north with a hoof. "There was a river about a mile in that direction and it was safe to drink. Also why are Sofea and Zeak digging a hole around us?" Asked blaze with a tilt of his head. "They're making a moat and we could divert the water from the river and use it to fill the moat and help the crops. You know when we get crops. Anyways, can you help them and tell them my name? That would be appreciated." "Ok FoxFire see you then." said Blaze with a smile before turning and flying over to help Sofea and Zack. "Ugg today is going to be a long day." I say while placing a hoof on my forehead. I watch blaze fly over to Sofea and Zack and start to think how are we going to survive long term in the EverfreeForest? I mean there's things in this forest that can kill in one swipe or eat me in one bite. The moat will help with the local fauna and maybe some animals but they can swim over. I might be able to make a wooden wall but wood is very breakable and can burn. And from the show a good amount of the local creatures can cause fire and can break it easily. I can try for a concrete wall but to make that i first need cement which is hard to make. I could go for an iron wall but I will need a way to keep it from rusting. But first I need iron deposits to do ether. I go to fly and see a nearby mountain. It takes me 12 minutes to get there. It's a small mountain only peaking over the trees by 30 feet. When I get there I look at the stone to see if there's any iron or copper ore in the mountain. What I'm looking for is rock that's a color from rusty red, deep purple, yellow, and dark gray to find if there's iron. I hope it will be more visible because of the bright cartoon colors. When I get to the mountain there are red spots here and there and it looks like the mountain is iron rich. I turn around and go back to the den. Back at the den… Sara, Arora, and Wisp just got back to the den "So Arora how are you faring with the changes?" "It's been fine. I mean the horn is new and the weird. since has some getting used to. When I close my eyes I can still see but besides that I'm good. how bout you sara? How are those new wings treating you?" "It is odd for me that I can see these small currents in the air and I can fly without my wings. By that I mean I can fly with my wings closed. See Look." Arora looks over to Sara and sara starts to float. Sara closes her eyes and sees Sara flapping her wings then opens her eyes and sees her wings against her body. "You are flying with your wings but not." "How? What do you mean?" "Well when I closed my eyes I can see you flapping your wings but when I have my eyes open there up against your body." "We need to ask the boss about this but back to what we were doing before, do you think he will accept the food we got?" Wisp finally decided to speak up. "You'll just have to wait and see until then, Who knows?" Back with me: I was just flying above the din area. It looks a lot like a military camp. I look around and see the food group. I fly towards them to see what they have collected. "Hey FoxFire what do you think?" Said Wisp looking at the food they have collected. The food they have collected was: one zap apple, 10 apples, 3 garlic, 8 carrots, and 3 potatoes. "Good haul umm give half of each and give them to the fox foxponys and let them know to plant them over there." I say while pointing at a cleared patch of land. I was about to leave to check on the den when Arora and Sara came over. "Hey FoxFire, I and Sara were experimenting." Then they informed me of what they did earlier. "Do you know anything about it?" I put my hoof to my chin and thought about it. I looked over to Sara and Arora. "I will let you know later. I have to think about this." I head to the den when I get to the den I lay down to think about their abilities. In the den shadow has finished the carving of the den making it bigger. I go to a corner and lay down and close my eyes and fall asleep. I open my eyes and see that. I'm back in that place with the fox on the rock. "I have some questions for you umm. fox what's your name I don't want to be calling you fox." "My name is Willo and I want to start your training here. Every night you go to sleep I will train you and teach you of your abilities and how to lock down portals. So you had questions?" "Yhea what's up with pegasus fox being able to fly without their wings and unicorns seeing things?" "So to answer your question the three pony tribes have their own type of magic earth ponies can grow food super fast and are very strong. Pegasus are able to fly and manipulate the weather. And unicorns have a magic that is more malleable. Since you're going to be closing these portals, and maybe if you can fix what's wrong in the other worlds. I see in the future you will be fighting a lot so the foxpony’s have battle orandid abilities. Well they have what the three have. They also have a secondary ability that's separate from there cutemark. Soo well normal ponies have their main magic and their secondary with there cutemark. Fox ponies with have there main, secondary then there cutemark." "So the abilities of the earth fox ponies or fox foxpony you called them is: the ability to heal themselves from near fatal wounds. can see the flow of water in plants like x-ray vision. And have the regular abilities of earth ponies." "The Fox Pegasus has the ability to fly without using their wings, By using their spiritual wings, Fox Pegasus can see the wind as wisps in the air or dust. They can turn the ability on and off." "And last and not least the Fox unicorn's abilities are that they can see and manipulate the spirit of things, and can only change the shape of another spirit if the other is willing. And can heal the wounds on other spirits. And more but it's risky. And has the abilities of a regular unicorn and magic exhaustion is less dangerous because it will pull enough from their spirit reserve to keep them alive. Makes it less fatal to get magic exhaustion but it will still put them out of commission." "Now there's one more race type to talk about and that's you. The Fox alicorn you have the abilities of all three and more by more I mean you hide your horn not using its magic. You're wing’s can be cut off and still be attached with spirit magic. Your organs can still work after being stabbed through with anything. That means nerves and all. And all it will look on the outside is a see thru blue glow where cut or stabbed thru. You cannot see thro the glow unless you want it to be seen thru otherwise. it is like there are spirit versions there. And inside is like thick blue fog so you can't really see anything. But I do remind you to get healed if you're injured because you will still have the pain from the wounds, and will still bleed from said wounds. We will start training tomorrow night. We will start with a sword. See you tomorrow night." When he said that everything turned to black. chapter 2When I woke up it was dark and the others were in the den. When I went outside the farm food was planted. And the moat was half done it went all the way around the field but was two wide and still had a lot of work to be done still. When I look up at the moon, The mare on the moon is still there. I go back into the den and snuggle up to shadow. "I just hope the next day is good." and I finally fall asleep. I woke up to someone poking me. “Hey FoxFire you need to get up, we have a busy day today!” I open my eyes to see Shadow. “Good morning Shadow.” me and shadow head outside. Outside I see the fox foxponies working on the moat to bring water to the farmland. Also the fox Pegasus flying in circles above the camp acting as spotters for danger for the camp. Or maybe they are just practicing flying while talking to each other. The fox unicorns were sitting near the farm talking to each other. When I go to the edge of the farm everyone gathers around me. “Hey FoxFire what do we do now?” says Sara “Did you figure out what's up with these abilities.” said Wisp “Ok so first things first. I need the Fox FoxPonys to go to the farm and grow the plants and continue working on the water for the plants. Shadow, I need your help so stay put and follow me when I'm done. Actually, can Wisp and Blaze stay too. Sara can you help Zeak and Sofea with the farm. And Arora can you work on your magic at a safe place.” When the others left I started. So you guys want to know about your abilities? So last night I met Willo, a fox in my dreams. He told me about the abilities of the three fox tribes. The Pegasus can fly without wings. The unicorn can heal other pony spirits. And fox fox ponies can see and grow plants better. Now let's go to the river.” At the river: “so what are we doing here?” Asked Wisp “So” I walk into the river and take some clay off the bottom. And throw the clay on the ground and walk to the clay. “We're going to make bricks.” While they were watching I made the clay into a rectangle. “After you make the clay into a rectangle it has to dry off. Then you cook it and it becomes a brick.” "What are we going to use these bricks for?" Asked Shadow “We're going to build a furnace!” “Uh What's a furnace?” Asked Blaze “A furnace is a structure made to melt ores so you may use the ores to make armor and weapons and tools. Which is something we will really need in this forest.” “Soo how do you build a furnace FoxFire?” Said Shadow. I face hoof and drag my hoof down my face. This is going to take a while. About half an hour later. “And that's how you make a furnace for smelting.” Looks like wisp fell asleep during the lesson wisp is lying under an Everfree tree with his head in his hooves like a cat. I walk over to wisp and start poking him because I will need him for the next part going to the stone age. “Wisp, wisp, hey, WISP time to get up.” Wisp slowly gets up to see Shadow working on making clay bricks, me poking him and Blaze hovering over the river get clay for the bricks. “Yhawn, what is it FoxFire?” “We're going to make stone tools.” I say with a bit of excitement. Once I said that shadow, and blaze looked over giving me a weird look. “Come on follow me” I walk to a vine connected to a tree near the lake. and tear it down then I look for a stick that's straight and long. Once I got both, I found a triangle shaped rock in the river. Once I got the rock, I took it and carved the stick to be straight then carved a hole into the top of the stick for the rock. Then I tied the stone into the stick. I now had a stone axe. I show blaze, shadow, wisp the axe. “That's how you make a stone axe. Can you guys make some more axes so we may cut off branches of trees? And can you gather wood and bring it back to the den?” We will need the wood for tonight. To cook the bricks and teach everyone how to make fire. I walk over to shadow who is making an axe with Wisp. “So how's it going” “It's going” says wisp going back to his work on an axe “Hey FoxFire, I was wondering what we are going to use to protect ourselves from afar?” “Good question,” I put my hoof to my jaw thinking about it 5 minutes later…. ‘SPEARS that if we can make spears to throw we can't make a bow yet on the other hoof maybe we can make a bow but the arrows will be hard to balance.’ I grab a couple vines to dry out when we get to the den. I also grab a small pointy rock and a long stick that's straight. I make a gap in the top of the stick then I sharpen the rock I choose for the spear end on another rock. I took the sharpened rock and put it in the hole. Then I took one of the vines and tied it around the rock and tied it off. Then I had a stone spear. Shadow was watching the whole time intently. “Hey shadow want to help me make some spears” “Ya” Some time later, We made five bricks out of the clay of the river and some sand on the riverside at a curve. We also made three more stone axes, and 6 stone spears flimsy as they are. We head to the den with all the items. “FoxFire what should we call the area around the den you know the farm and the trench?” said Shadow. ‘Man shadow your full of questions.’ “Well, I think we should call it camp for now. We can change it later.” “Hey wisp this is awesome we get to make all these new things and it's just amazing. I hope that we can make it easier with all these… what did you call them FoxFire?” “Tool's” “Yah toools” said Blaze while holding an axe in his hooves, with three wet clay bricks on his back. Wisp is looking up to Blaze “yha I hope we can use these spears to defend from the creatures of the Everfree.” wisp has five spears, four on his back and one in his mouth. Shadow looks over to the two. “We have to get to the camp first to use them so let's hurry, we're burning daylight.” Shadow is holding 1 spear and two axes on his back. ‘I wonder how the others are doing at camp. I think they will be fine, maybe.’ At camp: Arora is currently at a corner of the moat trying to levitate a stick. Arora has gotten the stick to where it's flickering to lift it and shaking a lot. When Sara comes over interrupting Aroras concentration, making the stick drop. “Hey Arora” “Hi Sara how's it been with the weather for the farm?” “Good, I'm taking a break. What are you up to?” “Oh I'm just trying to float this stick here see” Arora floats the stick it wobbles then falls “though I'm missing something it keeps falling” “Maybe its flow rate? I mean when I have my magic flow faster. I speed up and when I add flow to my hooves it makes it so I can move the clouds.” ‘Maybe?’ Arora puts her hove to her chin and tries to float the stick while monitoring the flow rate. Eventually the stick starts to float and doesn't fall, but it wobbles every once in a while. “IT worked!! Thank you Sara! Thank you so much!” “Soo Arora can you help with the farm digging dirt for the plants aren't easy with hooves.” “Sure Sara” On the farm while digging the moat Zeak cuts his hoof on a rock that was hidden by some dirt “ow” Zeak looks down to his hoof there's a small cut that goes from the bottom of the hoof up 3 inches and goes half an inch deep. Zeak got out of the moat he was digging for the farm. “Hey, I don't think I can dig any more.” Zeak says while slowly and carefully waving his hoof in a small circle the air. Arora came over and saw the cut and had a strange feeling that drew her to use her magic on the wound. The wound slowly closed up with white blue lines stitching the hoof back together. “While that was interesting,” Zeak said while looking over his now healed hoof. “Arora what was that?” Said Sara “I don't know, I just felt like I needed to put magic on your wound and it healed. Maybe we should ask FoxFire about this?” “Well I guess I can go back to working on the moat. Thank you Arora.” Zack jumped back into the moat and went back to work on it. “Oh come on Zack take a break. you did just get hurt.” said Sara, wavering her hoof in the air to emphasis on her words. “No!” “No?” “No, I'm not coming out to stop working.” “You're such a workaholic Zack. Aurora, can you help me pull back out to get him to rest? He's been at this all day with no brakes.” “Ok Sara.” ‘umm let's see’ Sara jumped into the moat while Arora watched. “Zack out!” Sara started to push Zack out of the moat. Back in the forest. We were coming back to camp and once we got past the trees we found Zack at the top of one of the moats with Sara and Arora dragging him away from it. Blaze, “what did we miss?” Just when I'm about to ask what's going on. I hear a ear shattering howl comeing from the forest “Timberwolves! Grab the stone spears and get on the inside of the camp! quickly!” Everypony rushes into the camp and grabs a stone spear off of Wisp. Once everyone had a sear we formed a line at the side the timber wolves were coming from, at the gap in the moat. Five Timberwolves come out of the forest and try to leap over the moat two get impaled on stone spears, one didn't make the jump and fell into the moat falling apart, the last two made it over the moat and went for me I rammed my spear into the first one and barely managed to doge the second snapping my stone spear leaving me with a stick, the second leaps at me again but shadow manages to shove his stone spear into the wolf chest from the side killing it. “That was close, Thanks shadow.” Now that the timber wolves are gone I check on everyone, everyone seems not to be injured. Two of the stone spears are broken. One spears rock is broken, the other is the shaft. “Man, we really need better equipment.” As I start to think of somewhere to get better weapons the castle of the two sisters comes to mind… “Man shadow you were awesome!” said blaze “I just did my best blaze.” I look up and see that I have half the day left. “We need better equipment…” “Yha we do, when I used my spear it broke,” said shadow. While holding his broken spear. “Ok so where will we get better equipment?” Said Arora “I think we should go to the castle of the two sisters.” I said “Blaze, Sara, I want you to help me look from the air for some ruins. Once you find some i want you to go back to camp.” “Yes sir.” said blaze “Ok.” said Sara We took off and went different directions to look for the ruins. About 3 hours later i went back to the camp not finding anything. I look down to see Sara already at the camp. I land next to her. “So did you find the ruins?” “Yeah it's that way about one hour out by walking” “Thank you Sara. Now all we have to do is wait until tomorrow. When we have more sunlight.” About an hour later blaze comes back to camp and says he didn't find anything. After I gather everyone up so I can teach them how to make fire. After about an hour, I started a fire for the night. it's already getting dark so I go to the den and go to sleep for the night. Author's Note so for now one I'm going to focus on character development its too hard to juggle all of the characters at once that's why this chapter took soo long. and I know this chapter is a bit scattered but its for the same reason. I do this for fun so it takes time to make the chapters.
Beginnings"Hey this is my story my name is Fox, but my friends call me Drew, and this is where my story begins. It may be choppy but it's the best I can do so here we go". I'm at my computer taking a break from my job at the construction site. Finally I can take an hour break from work, every day it's work, do the bills and go to bed, get up the next day and go to work again. No break time in between. See with my job I don't get any breaks and only get 6-7 hours of sleep a day. I work all seven days of the week. That's why a break for an hour is soo good. And I get paid about 8$ an hour. So I make enough barley to eat. Let alone I'm bound by contract to work for the company. I also live in a three room house with my bedroom, the kitchen, and bathroom. Right now I am watching the first episode of My Little Pony. In my room there's a mirror behind me and to the right near the door. My room is in a L shape. The door is at one end of the L with the mirror next to it, The bed is in the corner where the two parts of the L connect. With a book shelf up against the desk for the computer. Where the empty space of the L is is a closet. I'm in the middle of the video watching the series for the third time, to see the finer details in the show. when I get a text on my phone. “What's this?” I reach for my phone and look at the text. (hey we need you at the construction site.) "Aww come on i've only been off for freaking 14 minutes. Man can they do anything without me there I mean there's other workers that can be supervising. I need a break. I barely get any as there is". I get up and out of my office chair and turn off the computer. I then walk over to my dresser and get my gear on. which is two jackets, with the first being camo with 5 pockets. one pocket being on the inside of the jacket. This first jacket is ripped where two of the bottom pockets are useless because they have massive holes in the bottom. And the top two pockets on the outside have holes where they can't hold any change. And the arms of the jackets, the right where the wrist is, has a hole going half way across all the way to the other side. And where the elbow is there's a massive hole patched up with fabric on the inside. The hole goes from the elbow to ¼ of the way in both directions. While the left had a small hole where the wrist is. I then put on the second jacket that doesn't have sleeves and has four more pockets. With one having a zipper this pocket is on the left side near the heart. I'm also wearing blue jeans with two pockets in the front and two in the back, and wearing a belt with a pouch on the side that's camo for holding some cash and tools. The pouch has two pockets, one used for cash, the other used for batteries and other things. I head to the door to leave my room, and I glance over at the mirror to check if I look alright for work. but the mirror on the wall isn't showing anything like a black void. See I got this mirror from my parents because it is a family heirloom and they wanted me to hold on to it for a while. "Huh that's weird it isn't supposed to be black". I go up to the mirror to get a better look and place my hand on it to see if it's spray paint. When my hand touches the mirror it gets dragged in. I try to escape to pull my hand out but end up getting sucked in. Blackness and pain that's all I felt and saw. I groaned and tried to open my eyes but everything was fuzzy. My body felt all weird like parts of my body are in places they shouldn't be or shifted from one place to another. I laid my head back down to think. "What happened to me?"... Lets see I was in my home and going to work when, the mirror. The mirror……? "THE MIRROR SUCKED ME IN!" When my eyes finally clear I can see I'm in a dark forest. I look at myself to see why I feel so weird. When I look down I can see that I have orange fur… I look at my hands to see hooves. "Why do I have hooves? And why do I have fur?" Starting to freak out I quickly look back at the rest of my body to see wings with blood red feathers. When I looked closer at the feathers. going thro the center of feathers are light blue lines curling back five or six times. The lines looked a lot like the wind symbols. The blue lines were glowing slightly. When my eyes go further back I can see a fox tail that's slightly darker orange than the rest of my fur. ‘Have I become a horse? If so, why do I have a fox tail?’ I felt an itching feeling on the top of my head, and when I looked up I saw a horn. but there was something wrong with the horn. It looked broken. But I couldn't tell because it was hard to see. I looked around at my surroundings again and looked for anything that has a reflective surface. When I didn't see anything I tried to calm down. When I was calm I closed my eyes to see if I could hear anything. I heard a faint sound of a stream nearby, so I tried to stand on all fours. I managed it but when I took a few steps I fell down and hit my head. I got back up and slowly made my way to the stream going into a lake. But not without falling six or seven more times. When I FINALLY got to the stream I looked at my reflection. I could see I have a muzzle that looks a little like a mix with a horse and a fox. My muzzle has a black part that's like a fox's nose but it's shaped like a horse’s. I got a better look at my horn. and it was broken with pieces of it floating in between a gap in the middle, the top and bottom parts of the horn that are like you will see on a normal pony. are connected with light blue magic the gap in between. One third of the horn was the blue see thru magic. Then while I'm looking at my horn. It started to go into my head and disappeared. Like it was never there. I looked back to my wings and the blue glowing stopped and the lines of blue were gone too. I looked back to the stream and I had pony ears. And big pony eyes with fox slits. "Ok soo is this like one of those my little pony fan fics? If so, I should be near Ponyville right?" I try to fly and manage to get five feet off the ground. then end up making a mistake falling back to the ground, about an hour later. Finally I got above the trees to see only forest. I tried to turn around and almost messed up but managed to catch myself. "Man in the show they make it look so easy." I look and all I see is more forest. "Is it never ending?" I squint my eyes and see a mountain with a castle on it. "Man, so I am in my little pony. I was starting to worry that I wasn't. At least I have something to go off of now." I start to fly to the mountain when something hits me in the wing and I fall to the ground. "What was that?" On the ground I look for what hit me and I find a stone with a fox carved into it. The fox is curled up into a ball laying its head on its tail. "What's this" I go over to grab it with my hooves. But when I touch it everything goes black. When I open my eyes I'm in a clearing with a rock in it with a fox sitting on it. There's blue wisps circling around the fox on the rock. Leaving little blue trails behind them. ‘Ok what's going on first I get sucked into a mirror. Then I get turned into a fox alicorn, then I lose my horn. Then I get to see that I'm in the middle of a forest. And knowing my luck it's the Everfree forest. And finally I get hit by a stone with a fox carved into it. but there's nothing to throw such a stone. And when I go to pick it up to get a better look. I get transported here wherever here is. and now I'm here....’ "WHAT'S GOING ON!" I look up to see that a fox is in my face. Mere centimeters from my muzzle. "Ekk!" I jump back around three feet falling down on my flank. "What do you want!" "FoxFire I need you to go near the exit of the Everfree forest. Then I need you to go two miles in the forest. So you could build your home there." "Why? Why do you want me to do this? Why can't I go into Ponyville and live there?" "You will see as for now farewell. I'll see you tomorrow. Said the mysterious magical fox staring right into my soul with its Indigo eyes" I tried to ask why the fox knew my name but everything went dark. I opened my eyes to see I was in the same place I tried to touch the stone. I looked for the stone but it was gone. “Can this day get any weirder?” I ask myself before heading towards Ponyville. Time skip 7 hours later It was starting to get dark. I was on the edge of the Everfree forest and I could see Ponyville. Weirdly I didn't run into anything bad on the way. No Timberwolves, no manticores, etc. I tried to leave the forest but when I crossed the edge of the forest I ran straight into a wall and fell back on my flank. "Oww" I said while holding my bleeding nose/muzzle with a hoof. " What's this?" I bring my hoove up and push Against the bearer, my hoove hits the barrier like a wall. "Really a wall? Is it just me? That can't go thro....." I grabbed a rock and threw it at the barrier and it went right through like nothing there. Then I look to my right and see a rabit walk thro the barrer as if its not there. Great, I can't just go to Ponyville. Now that I take a closer look at Ponyville, It's missing most of the buildings from the show. "Ugggggg" well might as well do what that fox said. Even though I didn't want to, I turned around and headed two miles into the forest. When I got that deep in the forest. I found a clearing with a tree in the center. When I got close to the tree I found a den of foxes. ‘Now that I went two miles inward, what am I supposed to do now???’ I look around for anything to give me a clue when I get nothing. I sake my head and look for somewhere to rest. when nothing presents itself and the only place to rest is a hole in the tree. I crawl into the hole to find out that there's foxes in the hole sleeping together. I got closer to the foxes. Weird enough foxes didn't even care. They acted like I wasn't even there. I'm not one to complain so I just laid down next to the foxes to rest and fell asleep for the night.
chapter 1I woke up to find myself in the same clearing with the fox on the stone. "Why did you send me here? Why did you want me in this clearing with the foxes? And finally why is there a barrier to Ponyville? That I and only I can't cross? And where did my horn go??" "To answer your questions in order. You were overworked and about to die from overworking yourself. And you're a good soul and everyone was taking advantage of you. Plus I need your help and Equestra needs your help. Second is to change the foxes into fox ponies like you but you're an alcorn fox pony. They can either be a unicorn, a pegasus, or finally a fox fox pony. The answer to the third question is it's not time. Fourth question is your spirit magic. You see, while normal ponies can use magic fox ponies of all types can use their spirit as a connection to magic. But be warned the spirit magic has to always have some in reserve or you will die. It's connected to your spirit after all." Said the fox with a roll of his eyes as if it would be obvious. "Now I need you to gather as many foxes as you can and build a home here. And before you say it's bad on the foxes. What you're doing makes it so the foxes can think on their own and make their opinions known. Not to mention the life of a fox in these woods is around one to two years. You will be increasing their lifetime by many years and making their lives easier. Also these woods, the Everfree, are unstable since nightmare moon. Portals to other versions of my little pony will open. I need you to contain these. I will train you so you can contain these portals. And if you want you can go into those worlds connected with this one and fix them. But be warned there's worlds with Solar Flare, and Nightmare Moon, zombie apocalypse, etc. Now I'm going to leave you to do what you can but I will always be here if you need help. By the way, I suggest you first learn magic to find safe food. Bye." and everything turns black. When I open my eyes I see that the foxes have changed, all of them are of each race. But they did have similarities: all of them had fox slits and big pony eyes, And all had fox tails two. Now there were Two pegasus, two unicorns, and three fox fox ponies. When I leave the cave they all come out with me. I look back at the fox ponies. "do you have names? or will I need to give you names?" The pegasus foxs start with their names "My name is: Blaze" Blaze has a bright orange like a campfire coat with dark purple eyes with a white tail tip. "My name is: Sara" Sara has a dark purple coat with lime green eyes with a white tail tip with the leading tip of her wings being a light blue. Then the unicorn foxs "My name is: Arora." Arora has a horn, blue green coat with pink eyes and has a dark brown tail tip. "My name is: Wisp." Wisp has a horn, cyan coat with a dark blue eye. The other eye starts as red at the top and ends at a light blue at the bottom. The tail tip is a dark blue almost black. Then the fox foxponys i think or thats what im going to call them at least. "My name is: Zeak" Zeak has a forest green coat with silver eyes. And a light brown tail tip. "And mine is: Sofea" Sofea has an autumn yellow coat with rust brown eyes. And a white tail tip. I look over at the last fox pony for his name when he says nothing I ask. "Well what's your name?" “*sniff*” "I don't have a name." This last fox foxpony is completely black coat with bright orange eyes with a bright orange tail tip. "How about I give you one? Is that ok with you?" "Yes…." "Hmmm. How about Zan?" "No." "Pip?" "No." "Shadow?" "Yes, I like that name." Says Shadow while doing a little dance. "Ok your name is now Shadow." "Now I think it is time to get to business. If we are going to survive in this forest. That is, I want Sara to help Arora, and Wisp in the air. Arora, Wisp I want you to go find good food that is edible for us. I know we're ponies now. But that doesn't mean we can only survive on grass. Also Blaze, I need you to find clean drinking water. And be careful we're in the Everfree-Forest. if you feel you're being watched then come back here. It's more important for you to be alive than your tasks. You can always get your task done. But we can't revive the dead. And that goes for all of you, stay safe." Once the four of them were off I looked at the last three. "Sofea I want you to clear land for farming with Zeak. I also want you two to make a moat around where we are staying. The moat needs to be three of you deep and seven wide. Me and Shadow will try to make the den bigger. And before you ask, a moat is a tunnel/hole that goes around a structure." And off we went. At the hole for the den: "soo how was your life before you became a fox pony Shadow?” I asked while working on the entrance. "Well for me it was surviving in the forest and barely getting any food. You know we all had to leave the den to get barely enough food to eat. I'm so glad that you came along to help us out to make our lives easier." "You seem oddly accepting of this. Why are you and the other not fighting against me taking command? I mean I just came out of nowhere, slept in your den, and now telling you guys what to do. And that's not considering. I changed you all into ponies or some type of hybrid." "You see….umm, What's your name?" "There's another reason for you guys not to trust me. I haven't even told you my name." "And your name is?...." says Shadow with a wave of his hoof. "My name is well… I think it's best to call me FoxFire, But my actual name is Drew." "Well you see FoxFire. The reason is because there was a prophecy. That a fox with pony features will come and help all of the foxes in the forest bringing them to safety. So we may live anew. This fox will either bring great good or great evil upon Equestrea. That's why we did what you asked, Because we wish to live without hardship and fear any more." Said Shadow turning to look at me with hope filled eyes. "Ok let's finish this up quickly so we can check on the others progress." Time skip to three hours later… "This looks nice." We made more room in the main room and made a small storage room on the side. The room is now big enough to fit all of us inside and four more fox ponies. But the room is still cramped. "Hey Shadow can you dig this deeper? I need to check on the others progress." "Ya, see you later FoxFire." Came a happy reply from Shadow. Once I was out of the den. I looked around to see the two other fox ponies Zeak and Sofea. They have just finished clearing the land for farming, and now started with the moat. I looked over to the left to see Blaze flying over. "Hey boss…" "Call me FoxFire, Blaze." "Hey FoxFire I found water you see," Blaze points toward the north with a hoof. "There was a river about a mile in that direction and it was safe to drink. Also why are Sofea and Zeak digging a hole around us?" Asked blaze with a tilt of his head. "They're making a moat and we could divert the water from the river and use it to fill the moat and help the crops. You know when we get crops. Anyways, can you help them and tell them my name? That would be appreciated." "Ok FoxFire see you then." said Blaze with a smile before turning and flying over to help Sofea and Zack. "Ugg today is going to be a long day." I say while placing a hoof on my forehead. I watch blaze fly over to Sofea and Zack and start to think how are we going to survive long term in the EverfreeForest? I mean there's things in this forest that can kill in one swipe or eat me in one bite. The moat will help with the local fauna and maybe some animals but they can swim over. I might be able to make a wooden wall but wood is very breakable and can burn. And from the show a good amount of the local creatures can cause fire and can break it easily. I can try for a concrete wall but to make that i first need cement which is hard to make. I could go for an iron wall but I will need a way to keep it from rusting. But first I need iron deposits to do ether. I go to fly and see a nearby mountain. It takes me 12 minutes to get there. It's a small mountain only peaking over the trees by 30 feet. When I get there I look at the stone to see if there's any iron or copper ore in the mountain. What I'm looking for is rock that's a color from rusty red, deep purple, yellow, and dark gray to find if there's iron. I hope it will be more visible because of the bright cartoon colors. When I get to the mountain there are red spots here and there and it looks like the mountain is iron rich. I turn around and go back to the den. Back at the den… Sara, Arora, and Wisp just got back to the den "So Arora how are you faring with the changes?" "It's been fine. I mean the horn is new and the weird. since has some getting used to. When I close my eyes I can still see but besides that I'm good. how bout you sara? How are those new wings treating you?" "It is odd for me that I can see these small currents in the air and I can fly without my wings. By that I mean I can fly with my wings closed. See Look." Arora looks over to Sara and sara starts to float. Sara closes her eyes and sees Sara flapping her wings then opens her eyes and sees her wings against her body. "You are flying with your wings but not." "How? What do you mean?" "Well when I closed my eyes I can see you flapping your wings but when I have my eyes open there up against your body." "We need to ask the boss about this but back to what we were doing before, do you think he will accept the food we got?" Wisp finally decided to speak up. "You'll just have to wait and see until then, Who knows?" Back with me: I was just flying above the din area. It looks a lot like a military camp. I look around and see the food group. I fly towards them to see what they have collected. "Hey FoxFire what do you think?" Said Wisp looking at the food they have collected. The food they have collected was: one zap apple, 10 apples, 3 garlic, 8 carrots, and 3 potatoes. "Good haul umm give half of each and give them to the fox foxponys and let them know to plant them over there." I say while pointing at a cleared patch of land. I was about to leave to check on the den when Arora and Sara came over. "Hey FoxFire, I and Sara were experimenting." Then they informed me of what they did earlier. "Do you know anything about it?" I put my hoof to my chin and thought about it. I looked over to Sara and Arora. "I will let you know later. I have to think about this." I head to the den when I get to the den I lay down to think about their abilities. In the den shadow has finished the carving of the den making it bigger. I go to a corner and lay down and close my eyes and fall asleep. I open my eyes and see that. I'm back in that place with the fox on the rock. "I have some questions for you umm. fox what's your name I don't want to be calling you fox." "My name is Willo and I want to start your training here. Every night you go to sleep I will train you and teach you of your abilities and how to lock down portals. So you had questions?" "Yhea what's up with pegasus fox being able to fly without their wings and unicorns seeing things?" "So to answer your question the three pony tribes have their own type of magic earth ponies can grow food super fast and are very strong. Pegasus are able to fly and manipulate the weather. And unicorns have a magic that is more malleable. Since you're going to be closing these portals, and maybe if you can fix what's wrong in the other worlds. I see in the future you will be fighting a lot so the foxpony’s have battle orandid abilities. Well they have what the three have. They also have a secondary ability that's separate from there cutemark. Soo well normal ponies have their main magic and their secondary with there cutemark. Fox ponies with have there main, secondary then there cutemark." "So the abilities of the earth fox ponies or fox foxpony you called them is: the ability to heal themselves from near fatal wounds. can see the flow of water in plants like x-ray vision. And have the regular abilities of earth ponies." "The Fox Pegasus has the ability to fly without using their wings, By using their spiritual wings, Fox Pegasus can see the wind as wisps in the air or dust. They can turn the ability on and off." "And last and not least the Fox unicorn's abilities are that they can see and manipulate the spirit of things, and can only change the shape of another spirit if the other is willing. And can heal the wounds on other spirits. And more but it's risky. And has the abilities of a regular unicorn and magic exhaustion is less dangerous because it will pull enough from their spirit reserve to keep them alive. Makes it less fatal to get magic exhaustion but it will still put them out of commission." "Now there's one more race type to talk about and that's you. The Fox alicorn you have the abilities of all three and more by more I mean you hide your horn not using its magic. You're wing’s can be cut off and still be attached with spirit magic. Your organs can still work after being stabbed through with anything. That means nerves and all. And all it will look on the outside is a see thru blue glow where cut or stabbed thru. You cannot see thro the glow unless you want it to be seen thru otherwise. it is like there are spirit versions there. And inside is like thick blue fog so you can't really see anything. But I do remind you to get healed if you're injured because you will still have the pain from the wounds, and will still bleed from said wounds. We will start training tomorrow night. We will start with a sword. See you tomorrow night." When he said that everything turned to black.
chapter 2When I woke up it was dark and the others were in the den. When I went outside the farm food was planted. And the moat was half done it went all the way around the field but was two wide and still had a lot of work to be done still. When I look up at the moon, The mare on the moon is still there. I go back into the den and snuggle up to shadow. "I just hope the next day is good." and I finally fall asleep. I woke up to someone poking me. “Hey FoxFire you need to get up, we have a busy day today!” I open my eyes to see Shadow. “Good morning Shadow.” me and shadow head outside. Outside I see the fox foxponies working on the moat to bring water to the farmland. Also the fox Pegasus flying in circles above the camp acting as spotters for danger for the camp. Or maybe they are just practicing flying while talking to each other. The fox unicorns were sitting near the farm talking to each other. When I go to the edge of the farm everyone gathers around me. “Hey FoxFire what do we do now?” says Sara “Did you figure out what's up with these abilities.” said Wisp “Ok so first things first. I need the Fox FoxPonys to go to the farm and grow the plants and continue working on the water for the plants. Shadow, I need your help so stay put and follow me when I'm done. Actually, can Wisp and Blaze stay too. Sara can you help Zeak and Sofea with the farm. And Arora can you work on your magic at a safe place.” When the others left I started. So you guys want to know about your abilities? So last night I met Willo, a fox in my dreams. He told me about the abilities of the three fox tribes. The Pegasus can fly without wings. The unicorn can heal other pony spirits. And fox fox ponies can see and grow plants better. Now let's go to the river.” At the river: “so what are we doing here?” Asked Wisp “So” I walk into the river and take some clay off the bottom. And throw the clay on the ground and walk to the clay. “We're going to make bricks.” While they were watching I made the clay into a rectangle. “After you make the clay into a rectangle it has to dry off. Then you cook it and it becomes a brick.” "What are we going to use these bricks for?" Asked Shadow “We're going to build a furnace!” “Uh What's a furnace?” Asked Blaze “A furnace is a structure made to melt ores so you may use the ores to make armor and weapons and tools. Which is something we will really need in this forest.” “Soo how do you build a furnace FoxFire?” Said Shadow. I face hoof and drag my hoof down my face. This is going to take a while. About half an hour later. “And that's how you make a furnace for smelting.” Looks like wisp fell asleep during the lesson wisp is lying under an Everfree tree with his head in his hooves like a cat. I walk over to wisp and start poking him because I will need him for the next part going to the stone age. “Wisp, wisp, hey, WISP time to get up.” Wisp slowly gets up to see Shadow working on making clay bricks, me poking him and Blaze hovering over the river get clay for the bricks. “Yhawn, what is it FoxFire?” “We're going to make stone tools.” I say with a bit of excitement. Once I said that shadow, and blaze looked over giving me a weird look. “Come on follow me” I walk to a vine connected to a tree near the lake. and tear it down then I look for a stick that's straight and long. Once I got both, I found a triangle shaped rock in the river. Once I got the rock, I took it and carved the stick to be straight then carved a hole into the top of the stick for the rock. Then I tied the stone into the stick. I now had a stone axe. I show blaze, shadow, wisp the axe. “That's how you make a stone axe. Can you guys make some more axes so we may cut off branches of trees? And can you gather wood and bring it back to the den?” We will need the wood for tonight. To cook the bricks and teach everyone how to make fire. I walk over to shadow who is making an axe with Wisp. “So how's it going” “It's going” says wisp going back to his work on an axe “Hey FoxFire, I was wondering what we are going to use to protect ourselves from afar?” “Good question,” I put my hoof to my jaw thinking about it 5 minutes later…. ‘SPEARS that if we can make spears to throw we can't make a bow yet on the other hoof maybe we can make a bow but the arrows will be hard to balance.’ I grab a couple vines to dry out when we get to the den. I also grab a small pointy rock and a long stick that's straight. I make a gap in the top of the stick then I sharpen the rock I choose for the spear end on another rock. I took the sharpened rock and put it in the hole. Then I took one of the vines and tied it around the rock and tied it off. Then I had a stone spear. Shadow was watching the whole time intently. “Hey shadow want to help me make some spears” “Ya” Some time later, We made five bricks out of the clay of the river and some sand on the riverside at a curve. We also made three more stone axes, and 6 stone spears flimsy as they are. We head to the den with all the items. “FoxFire what should we call the area around the den you know the farm and the trench?” said Shadow. ‘Man shadow your full of questions.’ “Well, I think we should call it camp for now. We can change it later.” “Hey wisp this is awesome we get to make all these new things and it's just amazing. I hope that we can make it easier with all these… what did you call them FoxFire?” “Tool's” “Yah toools” said Blaze while holding an axe in his hooves, with three wet clay bricks on his back. Wisp is looking up to Blaze “yha I hope we can use these spears to defend from the creatures of the Everfree.” wisp has five spears, four on his back and one in his mouth. Shadow looks over to the two. “We have to get to the camp first to use them so let's hurry, we're burning daylight.” Shadow is holding 1 spear and two axes on his back. ‘I wonder how the others are doing at camp. I think they will be fine, maybe.’ At camp: Arora is currently at a corner of the moat trying to levitate a stick. Arora has gotten the stick to where it's flickering to lift it and shaking a lot. When Sara comes over interrupting Aroras concentration, making the stick drop. “Hey Arora” “Hi Sara how's it been with the weather for the farm?” “Good, I'm taking a break. What are you up to?” “Oh I'm just trying to float this stick here see” Arora floats the stick it wobbles then falls “though I'm missing something it keeps falling” “Maybe its flow rate? I mean when I have my magic flow faster. I speed up and when I add flow to my hooves it makes it so I can move the clouds.” ‘Maybe?’ Arora puts her hove to her chin and tries to float the stick while monitoring the flow rate. Eventually the stick starts to float and doesn't fall, but it wobbles every once in a while. “IT worked!! Thank you Sara! Thank you so much!” “Soo Arora can you help with the farm digging dirt for the plants aren't easy with hooves.” “Sure Sara” On the farm while digging the moat Zeak cuts his hoof on a rock that was hidden by some dirt “ow” Zeak looks down to his hoof there's a small cut that goes from the bottom of the hoof up 3 inches and goes half an inch deep. Zeak got out of the moat he was digging for the farm. “Hey, I don't think I can dig any more.” Zeak says while slowly and carefully waving his hoof in a small circle the air. Arora came over and saw the cut and had a strange feeling that drew her to use her magic on the wound. The wound slowly closed up with white blue lines stitching the hoof back together. “While that was interesting,” Zeak said while looking over his now healed hoof. “Arora what was that?” Said Sara “I don't know, I just felt like I needed to put magic on your wound and it healed. Maybe we should ask FoxFire about this?” “Well I guess I can go back to working on the moat. Thank you Arora.” Zack jumped back into the moat and went back to work on it. “Oh come on Zack take a break. you did just get hurt.” said Sara, wavering her hoof in the air to emphasis on her words. “No!” “No?” “No, I'm not coming out to stop working.” “You're such a workaholic Zack. Aurora, can you help me pull back out to get him to rest? He's been at this all day with no brakes.” “Ok Sara.” ‘umm let's see’ Sara jumped into the moat while Arora watched. “Zack out!” Sara started to push Zack out of the moat. Back in the forest. We were coming back to camp and once we got past the trees we found Zack at the top of one of the moats with Sara and Arora dragging him away from it. Blaze, “what did we miss?” Just when I'm about to ask what's going on. I hear a ear shattering howl comeing from the forest “Timberwolves! Grab the stone spears and get on the inside of the camp! quickly!” Everypony rushes into the camp and grabs a stone spear off of Wisp. Once everyone had a sear we formed a line at the side the timber wolves were coming from, at the gap in the moat. Five Timberwolves come out of the forest and try to leap over the moat two get impaled on stone spears, one didn't make the jump and fell into the moat falling apart, the last two made it over the moat and went for me I rammed my spear into the first one and barely managed to doge the second snapping my stone spear leaving me with a stick, the second leaps at me again but shadow manages to shove his stone spear into the wolf chest from the side killing it. “That was close, Thanks shadow.” Now that the timber wolves are gone I check on everyone, everyone seems not to be injured. Two of the stone spears are broken. One spears rock is broken, the other is the shaft. “Man, we really need better equipment.” As I start to think of somewhere to get better weapons the castle of the two sisters comes to mind… “Man shadow you were awesome!” said blaze “I just did my best blaze.” I look up and see that I have half the day left. “We need better equipment…” “Yha we do, when I used my spear it broke,” said shadow. While holding his broken spear. “Ok so where will we get better equipment?” Said Arora “I think we should go to the castle of the two sisters.” I said “Blaze, Sara, I want you to help me look from the air for some ruins. Once you find some i want you to go back to camp.” “Yes sir.” said blaze “Ok.” said Sara We took off and went different directions to look for the ruins. About 3 hours later i went back to the camp not finding anything. I look down to see Sara already at the camp. I land next to her. “So did you find the ruins?” “Yeah it's that way about one hour out by walking” “Thank you Sara. Now all we have to do is wait until tomorrow. When we have more sunlight.” About an hour later blaze comes back to camp and says he didn't find anything. After I gather everyone up so I can teach them how to make fire. After about an hour, I started a fire for the night. it's already getting dark so I go to the den and go to sleep for the night. Author's Note so for now one I'm going to focus on character development its too hard to juggle all of the characters at once that's why this chapter took soo long. and I know this chapter is a bit scattered but its for the same reason. I do this for fun so it takes time to make the chapters.
