That morning, the bright sunshine added to the relentless heat that, according to the science lessons for elementary foals, at only one time of the year Princess Celestia raises the sun to the highest possible latitude, from the equestrian line, thus causing intense solar rays for a certain period of time, helping harvest certain fruits and vegetables and sparing the pegasi by having sort of a 'break’, giving plenty of days off. Because of that, summer, as this season is called, is seen as vacation time for nearly all the types of ponies.
This basic information is taught from an early age, in such wise everypony understands the relevance of the seasons, just as it was described in one of Shining Armor’s elementary textbooks.
Although it's not as if he actually remembers every single word about why Celestia brings summer, or why pegasi brings winter, or how spring and fall naturally come.
It's not as if Shining Armor had actually read any of his textbooks for elementary foals, except for, of course, those that made him look more robust and strong of a pony. "Defense Techniques Using Hoofball For Unicorns" was one Shining Armor remembered almost every single word of.
Luckily, he had somepony on his side who could help him remember, at least, how to protect himself from solar rays.
Shining Armor stomped his pure white back hooves on the soft and gritty, scorching sand. Even wearing his favorite navy blue sandals, he felt the heat surpassing it and radiating across the beach.
"I think we should set up near the water." Shining Armor proposed to who, like him, a few steps behind was carrying some beach supplies to complement their stay.
"You think so? Dunno if I'll like the water splashing all the time while I'm trying to rest.”
The one behind who replied in a mellow, gentle voice was a pink alicorn stallion; his short, round, lofty pink mane, with a long striking yellow lock trailing down his side mane followed by stunning fuschia and purple, swaying gently at each trot. Prince Mi Amore Cadenza. Better known as Prince Cadance. Akin to his husband, he was wearing only boxer shorts, as his bulky chest exposed to the cool breeze that coincided with the heat stading next to Shining, who snickered.
"At least you're going to get some cool. ‘Kay, it’s settled. Let's set the parasol right…” Shining Armor casted a glance around and pointed to the midway a trifle close to the sea. “…there. So, what are we waiting for?” He stepped forward and gave a glance to his back.
Despite being Princes, they traveled to the far corners of Equestria to have a single day of what could be called vacation. A day where they could chill without any other pony or creatures, on a magically sealed beach that was, at least for this day, sole use for the couple of stallions.
"It's very kind of Fancy to rent us this beach. I can even see Kludgetown from afar.” Cadance said with a hoof palm on his forehead, awed by the beauty of both the surroundings and the scenery. There was a mound of stones in the far corners that caught Cadance's eye.
"Right?” Shining replied, prancing his muzzle. “I told you I had good contacts."
Cadance grave an eye roll. Perhaps the heat had boosted his ego, or perhaps being away from the royalty work made him more self-effacing, he thought. Be that as it may, Cadance watched Shining having fun running through the sand, much as an excited colt would have with his friends or family on a beach vacation, except that only both of them were there, and solely the two of them.
Cadance pondered the thought–no one and not a thing could get in the way of a day at the beach with just the two of them–and slid a hoof down his chest slowly to the bottom of his legs reaching inside the boxer. How could they have fun alone on such a shiny, warm day?

Cadance laid on the sun lounger under the parasol and followed Shining running after a crab, and then running away from the crab behind him. As Shining lit up his horn to use his telekinesis cunningly, levitating the poor crab, Cadance searched through the bag laid near to him for the sunscreen. He found it in the middle of a washcloth he didn't recognize. As soon as he grabbed it, half of the towel unfolded, and Cadance was struck by what had been hidden there. A pair of condoms.
Shining Armor went over to Cadance to join him in the chairbeside, levitating a beautiful pearl-white seashell. Some sort of ‘prize’ which the crab gave him as yielding.
"And I thought we’d be completely alone." Shining Armor argued as he handed the shell to his husband. “Are you going to put the sunscreen on already? Let me lend a hoof, or two.” Shining chuckled at his own joke. Cadance seemed comfortable, but his mind had thoughts for something more funnier.
“Sure, I’m just going to keep this here.” Cadance turned to the bag and wedged the shell squarely in the middle of that towel, slyly switched levitating up one of the condom packets and slipped it into his boxer. He turned to Shining only to notice him raising his biceps to the nothing on the other side.
“Well, I’m ready!” Shining said, rubbing his hooves briskly.
Cadance laid on his back as he crossed his arms to rest his chin and then closed his eyes. Shining poured some of the sunscreen all over one hoove, rubbing after into both.
Gently Shining soothed his hooves down from Cadance’s shoulders to the middle of the stallion's firm back, massaging up then down with the appropriate hoof pressure. He knew what he was doing, not least because when he attended the Royal Guard Admission School of Canterlot, he had to learn certain things from his peers unless he wanted to wash another corridor on his own. His husband knew about this story very well, and perhaps, at that time, Cadance spurred him.
Shining felt a slight pressure on the stallion’s back, so he pressed his hooves even harder, and a light from his horn landed on Cadance’s back, who didn’t seem to notice. A moment later, he felt Cadance’s back rise and fall with his breathing under his hooves.
He proceeded to rub his partner’s legs, who gently spread them over her hind legs, causing Cadance to let out a muffled laugh.
“Hey!” Cadance sniggered. “You're only doing that 'cause I'm touchy there.”
“Huh?” Shining feigned surprise. “Why, I thought you were touchy elsewhere, babe.”
Cadance's legs twitched upon hearing these words, it’s going to be like that, then.
Shining poured more of the sunscreen on his hooves, not asking Cadance to turn around.
“How about some here too?” Cadance's eyes widened at Shining's query. Shining smoothed his hooves up Cadance's legs and under his briefs, allowing him to slouch and relax his legs.
Shining began a circular massage around Cadance's buttocks crotch, and once he spread his hooves out to the sides… “Huh? This is…” Shining Armor tugged at what was between Cadance's hips, startled when it revealed itself peeking out of his smirking partner underwear.
“It was supposed to be a surprise, though…” Shining grumbled scratching his neck mane, tad embarrassed.
"It was easy to find out," Cadance countered, "even more so when it's hidden in the bag I was carrying."
All of Shining’s marvelous plans to impress him at sunset as night falls ignited the continuous heat between the two of them…
“That's right... I should have thought it through.” He accepted his defeat and knew that plans had now changed.
Or maybe continued. The fire inside was burning anyhow, and now, he wasn't the only one.
Cadance finally turned around. Shining tucked the package into his boxer and went back to the wipe-sun-out cream. “So… What are we going to do next?” He applied it first to Cadance's left arm, "accidentally" squeezing his bicep as he went on to the right arm. "Hey!" Cadance jokingly complained.
“What? I’m just checking out.” Shining replied accompanied by a giggle.
“So, what were your plans?” Cadance questioned. Shining gently caressed Cadance's chest for a long while, feeling the soft breating and the racing pounding heart, roundly massaging his warm breasts.
“I was thinking we could go in the water for a while.” Shining replied. Cadance grew aroused by the feel of Shining’s hoof squeezing into him along relish, while Shining's broad, brawny body came closer and closer, as if surrounding, or trying to stir him up.
Shining went on to playfully use his fingers to twist Cadance’s purple nipples, slowly hardening in his hooves, prompting Cadance to let out a few sheepish laughs.
He lowered his hooves, making sure that the sides of Cadance's abdomen were well protected and that his belly also was getting a good scrub.
He eventually moved on to his legs, where with each rise Shining gripped his fingers around the edges of Cadance’s boxer, pulling all the way down, quietly watching, merely seeing what Shining was up to.
"Welp, guess I'm done." Yet Shining seemed genuine in only finishing with the sunscreen, leaving only a spot that showed the beginnings of Cadance’s downtown mane. "As for me, I'm not going to use sunscreen now. I'm thinking of getting a tan after the water."
Cadance objected, interrupting him. "Hey, you missed a spot." He held up the ends of his boxer.
Shining gulped. “Oh… That’s right, you’re right. Well then, if I may?” Shining wanted to proceed with another plan, which promptly failed as well. Although he couldn't avoid looking at what Cadance is promptly hiding behind his only underwear. He swallowed dryly and felt a chill rise through his body, along with a warm feeling, especially something that he sensed was waking him up. Are…are we really going to do this? Shining thought to himself.
Cadance withdrew his hooves and let Shining, lowering his head beneath his abdomen. He pulled it slowly, uncovering what was already hammering inside his head. He took off from Cadance's legs and threw it underneath the chair. Shining stood mesmerized, his eyes blazing and his male instincts awakening all at once–it was like it was his first time, but it wasn’t. While Shining couldn't quite understand this paused and odd reaction, he couldn't think straight about it either.
Cadance objected, looking down. "It's...weird."
Shining's head snapped back to his actual senses. “Don't worry, we are really completely alone. The spell cast here is very impressive indeed. And of course, it was made by none other than my little sister. Besides...” Shining poured some more sunscreen into his hoof and threw the package aside, not bothering to rub it in. His head moved closer to the zone, following the procedure more closely. Cadance watched, breathing heavily.
Shining initiated massaging Cadance's thin, clumped strands of pubic hair, making sure to open his legs wider to get between the sides. Shining seemed to ignore Cadance’s inner mouth for reasons, even though he knew very well what he was doing. Because he couldn't control his pupils moving towards it. He had come with another plan, one he felt he needed to continue with.
As soon as Shining was as close enough, he spread his vulva open, holding onto his hoove’s thumb.
“Shiny…?” Cadance muttered, his body reacted by rising a few inches and the mouth between his legs stretched welcoming Shining’s face.
“Hmm… Should I pour it in here too?” Shining suggested, quizzically, and Cadance giggled slightly in response, whispering “dummy”.
“After all, why do we have to apply sunscreen anyway? I think just being wet is good enough, don’t you think so? Well, I'll make sure to wet here very well...”
Shining nuzzled against Cadance's vulva and, before anything else, gave a long sniff instantly sending a shiver down Cadance's whole body. He spread his tongue closer to the tiny opening of his inner tunnel, moving up to the clitoris.
Cadance's head fell back, his voice quivering, and he kept resting his hooves on his chest, circling and squeezing his nipples, as he received the wetness and the vibration of Shining's rough tongue gradually increasing in pace, to frantically soaking below, his snout resting on the mons pubis. Cadance was so receptive that his hips began to wildly buck of excitement.
Shining rested her clasped hands on the corners of Cadance’s legs, swirled his tongue around and kept melting into the soft cream, pouring saliva all around.
Shining opened his lips, certain that his mouth would reward him with a kiss. Shining drove deeper, pulled away a moment to slurp and bite carefully on the clitoris.
“Shiny–Ahng!” Cadance could no longer hold back his voice, all the more so when it hit his weak spot. Shining didn't hold back a smirk, even mouth full, stuck out his tongue again, sinking deeper and leaving all around his husband's pinky leg-mouth wet with a drool rain.
Cadance pressed both hooves into Shining's mane, pressuring his head having a breathless taste, and if that weren't enough, Shining’s tongue penetrated Cadance deeply, altogether his lips washed the dress around it.
Shining didn't let up. His tongue promenade furthermore inside, stepping back and forth as if he were dancing in the rain; his snout brushing against the pubis, causing occasional puffs from his nostrils that sent shivers down Cadance's legs, accompanied by a delightful shout. He was already crazy, bewitched, drooling nonstop.
Feeling his big white companion wanting to jump out struggling against his tight boxers, Shining let go of his hooves and unhooked his wet, drooling mouth from Cadance's foaming stream, Shining dropping his head and gave Cadance’s tight, purpleish anus a few licks as he released his impatient son.
It throbbed in his abdomen, pulsating and thick as a rock, salivating without ceasing. Shining raised his head again and began to lick the inlet as quickly as if he were pulling a carriage with all his horse-might, smearing the hoof on the clitoris–Cadance moaned wildly, his voice so sweet and raspy that it sounded as a pleasant melody to Shining's ears. Shortly after, Cadance warned him as best he could, finding all the strength in his vocal cords as he smiled with his tongue hanging out.
“S-Shiny… I’m… I’m gonna…! I’m going… To…!! Cuuuuuum!!!”
With a final rub of his hoof, Shining stands up, ready to go: the two of them, at the same time, poured their love liqueur over one another–Shining couldn't stand the pressure and the wild arousal that it caused in his entire body, and Cadance spurted the juice all over Shining's body. Two party cannons completely covered them with wet confetti.
Shining's body fell on top of Cadance's, both panting, the two juices mixing, while they rubbed against each other. It was like a refreshing treat for their stubbornly burning bodies. Shining then brought his snout close to Cadance's lips, entwining their tongues passionately.

Some time later, they went to the sea and cleaned themselves off, catching a wave while hugging and loving each other. Both happy with each other, and those who weren't were the sea animals who had to receive their filthy mess. Either way, after a while washing off in the salt water between a few salty kisses, they both went to the chairs, now Shining under the parasol.
“I’m not prepared yet.” Cadance’s words echoed in Shining’s mind as they stepped in the wet sand walking back from the sea. Shining blankly staring at the sea waves cleaning their hooveprints, his mind adrift, until subtly his voice aroused.
“Cadance.” Shining called out to him as Cadance laid on the sun.
“Yeah? What’s up, Shiny?” Cadance turned to him opening a short yet soft smile, and Shining smiled back.
“I love you, babe.”
“I love you too, Shiny.”
What Shining Armor under the shining midday sun was trying to say was, to clarify, by casting the spell to ease Cadance's back, actually, he thought how nice it would be to cum just by giving him a cunnilingus.
When it comes to ordinary spells, concentrating is Shining’s biggest issue.

Thank you for reading. This story has been written as an entry for the Summer Sin '24 event for the user Frazinock. I hope they liked it. I gave my best to deliver something according to their wish. This is also my very first time publishing on Fimfiction.
Although I struggled writing as soon as possible since it's not a theme I'm familiar with but still wanted to write anyway (challenge accepted), getting out of my comfort zone. From other stories I've written and haven't published yet, I have to say I gave my best at this one.
Maybe I'll update the story one day by adding a draw of 'Prince Cadance' according to what I imagined, but from now on, imagine the way you want.
