[Kingdom of Griffonia]
The sky over Griffonia was an ominous shade of gray, storm clouds gathering like silent sentinels. The air was thick with the promise of rain, but the Iron Talons paid it no mind. They had a mission to complete.
Talon Blackclaw, President of the Iron Talons, rode at the front of the convoy. His dark feathers, usually sleek and well-groomed, were ruffled by the wind. The roar of motorcycle engines echoed through the narrow mountain pass, a symphony of power and defiance. Behind him, his loyal comrades followed, each one a warrior in their own right.
"We're almost there," Talon growled into his headset, his eyes narrowing as the outline of the Blood Beaks' outpost came into view. "Remember, we're in and out. Get what they stole and teach them a lesson they won't forget"
A chorus of affirmations crackled back through the headsets. Talon felt a fierce pride swell in his chest. These griffins were more than just members of his club; they were his family.
The outpost loomed ahead, a ramshackle collection of buildings and tents nestled against the side of a cliff. The Blood Beaks had fortified it well, but the Iron Talons were undeterred. Talon raised his hand, signaling for the convoy to split and surround the outpost.
As the bikers took their positions, Talon revved his engine and sped forward, crashing through the flimsy gate. The element of surprise was on their side, and the Blood Beaks were caught off guard. Chaos erupted as the Iron Talons poured into the camp, weapons drawn and ready.
Talon dismounted his bike, his spiked mace already in his grip. He swung it with precision, taking down a Blood Beak who lunged at him with a knife. Around him, his comrades fought with a fury born of loyalty and the need for retribution.
"Find what they stole from us brothers!" Talon shouted over the din of battle, his eyes scanning the area. "kill anyone who gets in your way!"
The Iron Talons spread out, searching the outpost for the stolen goods. Talon made his way to the largest building, kicking down the door and stepping inside. The dimly lit interior smelled of sweat and fear. He moved through the rooms, his senses alert for any sign of their stolen property.
In the back room, he found it—a stash of crates marked with the Iron Talons' emblem. But something else caught his eye. In the center of the room, resting on a pedestal, was a small, intricately carved artifact. It glowed with a strange, ethereal light.
"What the hell is this?" Talon muttered, approaching the artifact cautiously. He reached out to touch it, and as his talon made contact, the room was filled with a blinding flash of light.
When the light faded, Talon blinked, trying to clear his vision. On the floor in front of the pedestal lay a tiny, human infant, wrapped in a soft, glowing aura. The child looked up at him with wide, curious eyes.
Talon froze, his mind struggling to comprehend what he was seeing. "Uh... what the fuck?"
"What is it, Prez?" came a voice from behind him. It was one of his lieutenants, Razor, peering over his shoulder.
Talon turned to Razor, holding the infant awkwardly in his arms. "I... I don't know. This... this thing just appeared when I touched the artifact"
Razor scratched his head, staring at the child with a mixture of confusion and concern. "It's some kind of hairless ape, I didn't know those existed"
"Neither did I," Talon muttered, glancing down at the child who had now wrapped a tiny hand around one of his feathers. "What are we supposed to do with it?"
Razor shrugged helplessly. "I have no idea, boss. But we can't just leave it here"
Talon sighed heavily, looking around at his comrades who were starting to gather in the room, their expressions ranging from disbelief to curiosity. "Alright," he said reluctantly. "We take it back with us. We'll figure out what to do next"
As the Iron Talons rode back to their territory, the infant boy nestled safely in Talon's arms, the storm clouds above finally began to release their rain. It was as if the heavens themselves were acknowledging the monumental shift that had just occurred. The Iron Talons raced through the winding mountain roads, the sound of their motorcycles reverberating through the crisp night air. Talon Blackclaw led the way, his mind still grappling with the presence of the infant they had discovered. Behind him, his club brothers followed in a tight formation, their spirits high from the successful raid but wary of any potential retaliation.
As they approached a sharp bend in the road, Razor's voice crackled through Talon's headset. "Boss, we've got company. Blood Beaks on our tail"
Talon cursed under his breath, glancing back to see the headlights of their pursuers flickering in the darkness behind them. The Blood Beaks, their rivals, were not about to let the theft of their supplies go unanswered.
"Stay sharp, everyone," Talon ordered over the commotion. "We've got incoming. Prepare to engage!"
The Iron Talons tightened their formation, readying themselves for the confrontation ahead. As the Blood Beaks closed in, shouting curses and threats, the road ahead narrowed, leaving no room for evasion. Talon gritted his teeth, tightening his grip on the handlebars as adrenaline surged through his veins.
Without warning, the first of the Blood Beaks' motorcycles swerved alongside Talon's, a burly griffin brandishing a club swinging at him. Talon veered to the side, narrowly avoiding the blow, and retaliated with a swift kick that sent his attacker careening off the road.
Behind him, the rest of the Iron Talons engaged in a chaotic dance of steel and fury. Razor and the others held their ground, their maneuvers calculated and precise as they fended off the relentless onslaught of their pursuers. The clash of metal against metal, interspersed with shouts and roars, echoed through the night, a testament to their ferocity and determination.
Talon focused on the road ahead, weaving through the treacherous terrain with skill honed from years of riding. He spotted a narrow path leading off the main road, a risky but potentially lifesaving shortcut. Without hesitation, he signaled to his comrades, guiding them onto the less traveled route.
The Blood Beaks, caught off guard by the sudden maneuver, hesitated for a crucial moment. It was all the Iron Talons needed. With a burst of speed and coordinated precision, they surged ahead, leaving their rivals in a cloud of dust and defeat.
As they emerged onto a deserted stretch of road, Talon glanced back, relief flooding through him as he saw the Blood Beaks fading into the distance. "We lost them," he called out, his voice tinged with triumph.
Cheers erupted among the Iron Talons, a chorus of victory and camaraderie echoing through the night. They had faced danger head-on and emerged victorious, their bond stronger than ever.
But amidst the celebration, Talon's thoughts returned to the infant boy back at the clubhouse. The night's events had only reinforced the precariousness of their situation. They were not just griffins on motorcycles; they were guardians now, tasked with protecting a life that had inexplicably crossed their path.
"We're not out of the woods yet," Talon reminded his club, his voice cutting through the jubilation. "We need to stay vigilant. The Blood Beaks won't give up so easily"
His words sobered the mood, a reminder of the challenges that lay ahead. The Iron Talons nodded in solemn agreement, their determination renewed as they continued their journey back to the clubhouse.
[Canterlot]
In the serene halls of Canterlot Castle, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna stood side by side on a grand balcony, gazing out over the sunlit expanse of Equestria. The tranquility of the morning was a sharp contrast to the sudden, unsettling surge of magic they had both felt the night before.
Celestia turned to her sister, her expression thoughtful. "Did you feel it too, Luna? That strange burst of magic"
Luna nodded, her brow furrowed. "Indeed, sister. 'Twas unlike anything I have ever sensed before. A magic both foreign and powerful"
Celestia sighed, her wings shifting slightly as she considered their next steps. "It seemed to come from across the ocean, from the lands of Griffonia. We have not had much contact with the griffins in recent years. Their affairs are usually their own"
"But this is different," Luna interjected, her eyes narrowing with determination. "This magic was strong enough to reach us here in Canterlot. It cannot be ignored"
Celestia nodded in agreement. "We need to investigate. Such a powerful surge of magic could mean great danger, or it could be an opportunity. Either way, we must understand its source and purpose"
Luna stepped closer to the edge of the balcony, her gaze fixed on the distant horizon. "The lands of Griffonia art vast and rugged. It will not be an easy task to locate the source of the magic exactly"
"We will need to be discreet," Celestia agreed. "The griffins are proud and independent. They may not welcome our presence if they believe we are interfering in their affairs"
Luna turned to her sister, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Perchance we should go ourselves. Our presence would show the gravity of the situation and our respect for their sovereignty"
Celestia smiled, placing a gentle hoof on Luna's shoulder. "I was thinking the same thing. We will go together, as we always have. Our combined strength and wisdom will be necessary for this journey"
"Agreed," Luna said, her eyes sparkling with resolve. "We should prepare immediately. The sooner we leave, the sooner we can uncover the truth behind this magical anomaly"
Celestia nodded. "I will inform our advisors and make arrangements for our absence. We will need a small, trusted delegation to accompany us"
"And I shall gather the necessary supplies and maps," Luna added. "We will need to navigate the treacherous terrain of Griffonia carefully" As the sisters began to make their preparations, the sense of urgency and purpose filled the air around them. They had faced countless challenges together, and this new mystery was just another test of their enduring bond and leadership.
Author's Note
Hello! This is my first story and I've thought about it for a couple years now. If anyone's familiar with the HOI4 EaW universe that's what map I'm using (I've had the game open just so I can use the map properly lol) hopefully you guys enjoy!!
The Iron Talons roared through the gates of their clubhouse, their motorcycles' engines echoing off the walls of the old, converted warehouse. Talon Blackclaw led the way, his mind still reeling from the events of the raid. Behind him, his club brothers followed in a tight formation, their expressions a mix of exhilaration and confusion.
As they parked their bikes and dismounted, the atmosphere among the Iron Talons was tense. They gathered in the main hall, a spacious area adorned with trophies from past victories and reminders of their code of honor. Talon set the infant boy down gently on a makeshift bed of blankets, surrounded by his curious and concerned comrades.
"Razor, with me," Talon said, his voice gruff but steady. "Rest of you, move the goods inside and secure them"
Razor nodded, and together they carefully lifted the infant, carrying him into the main office. The room was dimly lit, its walls lined with maps, plans, and the Iron Talons' insignia. Talon gently placed the child on a sturdy desk, the boy’s tiny fingers grasping at the air.
"What in the world did we stumble upon, Talon?" Razor asked, his voice a mixture of awe and confusion. "That artifact... and now this kid?"
Talon rubbed the back of his neck, staring at the artifact they had retrieved. It was an intricately carved piece of metal, pulsating with a faint, eerie glow. "I don't know. One minute we were just getting our stuff back, and the next, this thing starts glowing and—bam!—there's a baby monkey thing"
Razor leaned in closer to examine the artifact, careful not to touch it. "What is this thing anyway? Doesn't look like any ape species I've seen"
Talon nodded, crossing his arms. "Yeah, he's... different. Not a griffin, not a pony, not any creature I can think of off the top of my head. And why would an artifact summon a child like this?"
"That's the big question," Razor said, frowning. "And what if this thing's got some sort of magic tied to it? We don't know what we're dealing with here. What if it draws attention from... you know, those powerful magic ponies? It had to be some kind of powerful magic right?"
"You mean the ones across the ocean?" Talon asked, his tone wary. "I've heard stories about their Leaders. Ponies with incredible magic, powerful enough to move the sun and moon. If this is some dark magic stuff and word gets around, I bet you the ponies are gonna be curious about it"
Razor nodded, his expression grim. "Exactly. We can't let anyone outside the club know about this. If word gets out, we could be facing more than just rival gangs. Those magic ponies could come looking for this artifact, and who knows what they'll do"
"Right," Talon agreed. "We keep this quiet. Only the club knows. We'll have to be extra careful from here on out"
Razor picked up a blanket from a nearby chair and gently covered the infant, who was now starting to drift off to sleep. "I'll keep an eye on him tonight. Make sure he's safe"
"Thanks, Razor," Talon said, clapping his friend on the shoulder. "I’ll start looking into any old legends or records about artifacts like this. Maybe there's something in the old texts that can give us a clue"
As they stood in the dim light of the office, the weight of their newfound responsibility settled heavily on their shoulders. The Iron Talons had always faced challenges head-on, but this was unlike anything they had ever encountered.
With the infant now in Razor's care, Talon gathered the rest of the club in the main hall. The mood was somber as they stood in a loose circle, the weight of the night's events hanging heavy in the air.
"Listen up," Talon began, his voice commanding and resolute. "What we brought back tonight is more than just our stolen goods. We've got a situation on our hands. A child, summoned by some kind of powerful artifact"
The murmurs of surprise and confusion rippled through the group. Talon raised a hand to silence them. "We don't know what this artifact is or what kind of magic it holds, but we do know it could be dangerous. And it could attract the wrong kind of attention. So from this moment on, this stays with us. No one outside this room can know about the child or the artifact"
He looked each member in the eye, ensuring they understood the gravity of his words. "I need your word, your oath, that you'll keep this secret. For the safety of the club, and our families"
One by one, the Iron Talons nodded, their expressions serious. They placed their hands over their hearts, swearing an oath of silence.
"Good," Talon said, his tone softer but no less firm. Later that night, after the clubhouse had settled into an uneasy quiet, Talon retreated to his private quarters. The room was cluttered with memorabilia from his past, including a bookshelf crammed with old texts and records. He pulled down a dusty tome, a history of the Griffon-Pony wars, and began to leaf through the pages.
[Celestia and Lunas POV]
The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a silvery light over the vast expanse of the Griffonian countryside. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna soared through the cool night air, their powerful wings slicing through the wind as they made their way toward the potential source. Cloaks concealed their regal forms, allowing them to blend seamlessly into the darkened sky.
"We must be prepared for anything, sister," Celestia said, her voice steady yet filled with concern. "The magic feels...almost unnatural"
"Aye," Luna replied, her eyes scanning the horizon. "We know not what we may find, but we must tread with caution. The Griffons would be much displeased if they found us in their territory unannounced"
As they neared their destination, they began to descend, their wings beating in unison. They landed softly on the outskirts of a rugged building, the dense forest around it providing ample cover. The trees around them stood tall and imposing, their branches weaving a protective canopy overhead.
"The magic here," Celestia whispered, her eyes narrowing. "It feels chaotic and untamed. We must be on our guard"
They moved silently through the underbrush, their steps careful and deliberate. They carefully approached the building, they noticed it was surrounded by scattered motorcycles and debris. The scent of smoke and blood lingered in the air, a grim reminder of the violence that had taken place.
"We know little about these gang, but if they be anything like those cultists from home, thus it would be wise to be ready to escape" Luna murmured, her eyes sharp as she surveyed the scene. "We must search carefully"
They approached the building cautiously, the aura of magic growing stronger with each step. The wooden structure creaked under their weight as they entered, the interior dimly lit by the faint glow of the moonlight seeping through broken windows.
"Stay close," Celestia instructed, her voice barely above a whisper.
The sisters moved through the rooms, their eyes adjusting to the gloom. The walls were adorned with crude graffiti, and broken furniture lay scattered across the floor. The bodies of fallen griffons were strewn about, their leather jackets and biker insignias, a crimson beak, marked with blood. In the main room, a desk caught their attention. Papers were scattered across its surface, some stained with blood. Celestia carefully sifted through the documents, her eyes narrowing as she read.
"Most of these are hit contracts," she noted. "It seems this gang was hired for various jobs"
Luna picked up another sheet, her eyes widening as she scanned the text. "Here, sister. A note about an artifact. It says it was to be bought by a...R.M.?"
Celestia's brow furrowed. "An artifact? This could be the source of the magic we sensed. But who is this R.M., and why?" Their conversation was abruptly cut short by the sound of footsteps outside. The sisters exchanged a glance, their hearts pounding. "Quickly, we must hide," Celestia whispered urgently.
They moved silently, slipping into the shadows behind a large, overturned table. The door creaked open, and two griffons entered, their voices low and wary.
"Looks like those damn Iron Talons ransacked the place," one of them muttered, his eyes scanning the room.
"I knew we should've move the supplies sooner" the other replied.
The sisters held their breath, their muscles tense as the griffons searched the building. After what felt like an eternity, the intruders finally moved on, their footsteps fading into the distance.
"We need to leave, now," Celestia said, her voice barely audible.
They slipped out of their hiding place and made their way back through the building, their movements quick and silent. Once outside, they took to the air, flying swiftly and silently away from the outpost. The forest below blurred as they ascended, putting distance between themselves and the danger they had narrowly escaped.
As they flew through the night, the air carried with it a sense of urgency and foreboding. The sisters knew they had uncovered something significant, but the full extent of the danger remained unclear.
"We must return to Canterlot and discuss our findings," Celestia said, her voice resolute. "This artifact, whatever it is, could pose a great threat"
"Aye," Luna agreed, her expression serious. "We must be vigilant. They mentioned another group called the Iron Talons, maybe a rival gang of theirs that took the artifact"
"We must inform our advisors and begin an investigation," Celestia said, her tone firm. "I can ask my pupil to look into this R.M., and and quickly. It wouldn't look good on us if we were caught here ourselves sister"
Luna nodded, her resolve unwavering. "We shall find the truth, sister. Thy am confident in your pupils ability, I too shall have the most skilled of my recon detachments search here"
The two sisters took to the skies at great speed. Cutting through the clouds like a knife back towards their Kingdom to prepare for their search.
