Something Between Us

Five years have passed since Zipp and Hitch officially became a couple. Many unsolved cases have been solved and the criminals are now serving their time. The three cities have become much cleaner and safer because of the two. All the work that they have done has even earned them the nickname “The Stormblazer Power Couple,” even if the name was cheesy, they gladly accepted it, mainly because they couldn't think of an official couple's name themselves.

Life was great with the both of them and within those five years, Zipp had decided that she should move in with Hitch officially, something that the stallion wasn’t going to deny, they both wanted to be together and so they would be.

This did mean that Zipp did move out of the Brighthouse and took most of her stuff, but she did leave her bed and one of her computers at the Brighthouse because from time to time she would go and sleepover with the other girls, this is one of those times.

The girls were gathered around in a circle, they decided to play a game before going to bed, this game being “Truth or Dare” but with a bottle. Currently, the bottle was pointed at Zipp and she chose Truth.

“Alright Zipp, this isn’t the actual question, but I just need to know first, does Hitch still have those costumes from that old calendar seven years ago?” Sunny asked with a smirk on her face.

Rolling her eyes and giggling to herself, Zipp said, “Yes he does, now what is your actual question, Sunny?”

Grinning, Sunny asks, “Do you two ever “roleplay” with those, late at night, when Sparky is asleep?”

All the girls started laughing and snickering, none of them could control themselves after what Sunny just asked and for a good two minutes.

Zipp blushed and rolled her eyes, responding with a shapely voice due to her still wanting to laugh, “Oh yeah, we do and I gotta say, I can’t wait for him to put on that sailor’s outfit, so I can get on top of him and ri–”

“OK, Zipp you can keep that part to yourself, we do not need to know that!” Pipp said as she stuffed one of her hooves in Zipp’s mouth, no longer allowing her to talk.

Zipp removed PIpp’s hoof from her mouth and said with a sly grin, “Ok Pipp, I will stop, for now,” and with that, Zipp tapped the bottle, making it spin.

A few seconds passed before the bottle stopped, once it stopped it was pointing at Misty. “Alright Misty,” said Zipp with a smile, “Truth or Dare?”

“W-Well, ummmm, t-tru, no, no, no, d-d, no I did that five times already, ummmmm, f-fine, truth!” she finally said nervously.

“Well, alright then, since we are on the topic of partners now, I want to know, has any pony ever caught your eye, as in, have you ever fallen for any pony and are you still in love with them to this day?” Zipp asked as she laid down and got herself comfortable in the blanket she had around herself.

Misty instantly blushed hard, she looked around, first at Sunny, then at Izzy, then at Zipp, before finally landing on Pipp. Pipp smiles which caused Misty to unconditionally smile as well.

“Wait, you are in love with Pipp!?” Zipp yelled out without much hesitation.

This caused Misty to instantly panic as she looked at Zipp, “W-well, I won’t lie when I say that I no longer have those types of f-feeling, f-for h-her!” she blurred out.

Everyone went silent for five whole minutes. Both Pipp and Misty were looking at each other. Then, Misty dropped her head and softly spoke, “It all started when I saw Pipp for the first time. I was with Opaline still and she was using her mirror pool to spy on you all. When an image of Pipp appeared, I couldn’t help, but to think that she was the most beautiful pegasus I have ever seen,"

Hearing this, Pipp placed a hoof on her chest and couldn’t help but to smile at what Misty just said, “So it was basically love at first sight?” Pipp said softly.

“Kind of, well yes, but I didn’t know at the time, being with Opaline for so long made me forget what love was, so I never really understood what those feelings were," Misty said with her head still down.

All four girls looked at her with sadness, Zipp patting Misty on her back to hopefully comfort her a little.

“I didn’t know what love was until Opaline allowed me to spy on you five and as I was spying on you all, I couldn’t help but to keep a closer eye on Pipp, every time I looked at her, I smiled and felt warmth inside my heart, I blushed and was always wanting to be right next to her,” Misty said as she placed a hoof on her chest.

“As time went on, I slowly learned about what love is and the effects it has on some ponies, I didn’t want to admit it to myself at the time because Opaline said that love is nothing but a weakness that should be exploited at all cost, but hearing those words it made me feel awful, I never did believe her words, but I can see her philosophy, ponies can use the love of someone to manipulate others or even the one giving the love, but not everypony is like that,” Misty said as she looked up.

“My feelings only worsened once I found out that Alphabittle is my father and he is dating Queen Haven, also known as the mother of Zipp and Pipp,” As she said Pipp’s name, Misty’s voice softened a little, but she managed to keep talking, “My feelings for Pipp never wanted to leave me alone, which kept on making me feel terrible every time I was around her," Misty continued

Both Pipp and Zipp placed a wing around Misty, something that made Misty smile a little, “Well, things changed even more now remember…” Said Zipp.

“Yeah, our mother is no longer just ours anymore, she is your mom as well and Alphabittle is our father now too.” Pipp continued to say, “Which means that you must feel even more bad now, huh?”

Misty shook her head which shocked the four girls, “No actually, the day our dad and mom got married, I realized that my feelings for you Pipp weren’t gone, but they had changed. Now I no longer romantically love you, but now I love you as a sister, and now all I want to do is for us to work together and help each other out,"

Looking at Zipp she continued, “Zipp, I love you too, just as much as I love Pipp, I also want to just be with you and help you out in whatever detective things you are doing. The day that we three officially became sisters was one of the best days of my life, not only because my feeling for Pipp finally got its happy ending, but because it meant that with that love, we can now grow as a family and make our relationship stronger than ever,"

This earned a tight hug from both Pipp and Zipp, they gave Misty a small kiss on the cheeks before nuzzling her, the kiss and nuzzle made Misty blush hard, but she didn’t mind, she was happy and was more than ready for the future that is ahead of her and her family.
