Within the palace of the Crystal Empire, Cadance had multiple photos of before and now of what Equestria looks like from Twilight laid upon the floor as she had a look on her face then it looked like she was at war with herself. She looked pale as a ghost as both voices in her head were shouting while the memories of the past kept on flashing in her head. "It's…It's getting worse the longer Dainn rules Equestria!!" Her conscience shouted.

He questioned when he noticed Cadance was standing by the dresser with her back towards him. Cadance didn't reply as she kept on writing before he walked up to her and forced her to turn around and face him. "What are you writing?"

"A…it's a letter." She replied with a scared tone. “To my friend, Fren Da from Manehatten, my master.” he then tried to get a good look at the letter but she kept on pushing it from side to side to prevent him from looking. He then pulled her aside and quickly grabbed the letter and saw she was lying.

What in Celestia’s name happened to you?! Wh-Why do you look like this? What happened?!” He questioned with confusion as he tried to get closer to her, only for her to scoot fearfully away from him.

“What are you talking about?" He questioned as his hand was still shaking before he noticed the strange changes to their room. “What happened to this room? There was soon a knock at the door as he quickly answered it and quickly grabbed the items he requested from the soldier as he quickly shut the door behind him and went back to his wife. “Here’s proper first aid.” He quickly put some disinfected on the cut on both her hand and face, which stinged her a bit before he put bandages on her hand. “This may leave a scar on your face, and I'm so sorry…"

Go pick it up, and bring it over here.” Venus went and grabbed a mace and sword before going over and offering it to Flash.

That way I can trust you to do minor jobs while off on my liberation campaign.” Venus then did a cute little dance showing her happiness expression. Flash just told her good as he patted her head.

"By the way, Flash, that surprise you had for Twilight, is it ready?" Rainbow asked him.

"Just as Chrysalis said, they arrived this morning and I used my sword on them." Flash replied. "I'm going to surprise her later on. Speaking of Twilight, have any of you seen her?"

“Last I’ve seen her, she was looking into something back at the library.” Fluttershy answered. “Though if you could, could you tell her that I’m making excellent progress with the Lovander?”

“Sure Fluttershy, love ya.” Flash said as he brought the buttermilk yellow pegasus into a quick kiss and left, leaving her blushing.

Spike meanwhile, was resting in a bedroom while Smolder was sleeping next to him after having another rough sex night with her again. Smolder stretched her arms after sitting up in bed before she saw a Spike heading for the door. "Hey, where are you heading?" She asked him.

“Twilight needs to see this letter!” Spike exclaimed as he ran towards the library.

Meanwhile in the library, Rose was bringing some books over to Twilight as she was prepared to do another lesson with her. "These are the books you asked for, mistress.” She told Twilight.

"Twilight, I have a surprise for you!" He called out which broke Rose's concentration.

"Master?" She asked when she saw him walking up to them.

“No, Shining and Cadance broke free from caribou control!" Spike explained which surprised the three. "Cadance just messaged me to give to you!" Twilight took the scroll and carefully read it.

"'Lately, I've been having a war inside of my head since I saw those pictures and it's hard to even think about anything anymore after seeing them. Shining discovered what you tried to do and was going to brainwash me again, but thankfully he came to his senses beforehand. All it took was him cutting me with his sword and shouting at him to realize what they made of us. "We derail the trains, we derail the transfer cargo and save some slaves." Talia mentioned before she noticed a certain pony missing. "Hey, has anyone seen Rarity? I haven't seen her for the last three days."

“Yes I did, and we're still discussing this Chrysalis.” Flash told her. "I mean, I did tell her about it but I haven't shown her yet."

“If Dimora is going, count me in.” Vinyl Scratch added. “Like her, I too want to fight alongside you and not being held back here.”

Night time soon came as within the streets of Manehatten, Fancy Pants and his wife turned slave, Fleur De Lis, were making their way out of their club and out on the street. She then held a knife to Fancy's throat with a threatening look on her face. This confused him as the dust cloud was getting closer to the town. Just when he felt unsure, the warbeasts nearby felt threatened and let out a roaring of warning. Soon the caribou guard ran back in town and was ringing the alarm. “Alarm! Alarm! Incoming attack!"

The caribou that were doing their own things stopped and immediately were gathering their weapons. "I'm guessing that's the thing the mares were talking about that killed those buffalo." Rainbow mentioned before the massive warbeast charged at them. They all quickly ducked out of the way as it rammed right into a building and it collapsed on top of it. It didn't bring it down though as it burst out and charged again. Just as the Warbeast was charging right at him, the ground shook as sharp rocks started to appear out of the ground before it stabbed the Warbeast right in the stomach, piercing right through its body and killing it right on the spot.

"How about that?!" Flash asked with an impressed tone. "Is there anything this sword can't do?" However, it was not over. A few more warbeasts were unleashed. “Die traitor!” The stallion shouted before he was knocked out by Applejack before she tossed him his sword.

"I think halfway there." Dimora replied.

"If you're going to make something like you do down here, make sure it's not a sewer filled with methane. For methane is very flammable and explosive." Avaar's pupils shrink as he quickly realizes what the two of them were about to do next as Rarity used her magic to give the barrel lid they were on a big push. They then served through the sewers before they both used their knives against the brick walls to light a spark.

That spark was enough to ignite the methane and explode every sewer tunnel, including the Essence Workshop. It took out everything including the Caribou monks and Avaar with him. Rarity and Fleur held on to the barrel lid for their life as they were blasting out of the sewer.

Flash and the others soon returned back to the Castle of the Two Sisters as they brought along the freed Appaloosa citizens and a few other freed Caribou as well. They also brought along Strongheart and Bloody Bunny as they were in the medical ward of the castle. Fluttershy tended to Flash his wounds as she bandaged up his arm while he looked around at some of the injured members of the resistance. "The enemy is really stepping up their game." He muttered.

"That may be so, but so are we." Fluttershy mentioned. "Each town we end up freeing, the resistance grows stronger and our word gets out. We just heard that some of the ponies in a different part of a question are fighting back against the caribou when they heard there was hope."

"Ya know what that means." Applejack spoke up with a smile on her face as she walked up to him. "The Caribou are losing control and we're taking back our homeland." As soon as Fluttershy was done with Flash, she picked up Bloody Bunny as she began to snuggle her.

"Oh and you must have been so scared when the caribou hunted you and your family." She said with a concerning tone before she nuzzled BB. "But it's okay because you're part of a new family now and I promise to take care of you." Bloody Bunny had a small blush on her face as she was kind of liking the attention Fluttershy was giving her.

"Do you think Strongheart will be alright?" Rainbow asked the others as they looked over at the buffalo cow who was talking with some others. "I mean come on, some of her own kind were killed."

"As long as she has friends like us to comfort her, she'll be fine." Twilight mentioned as she walked over to them. "But do you think Rarity will be okay because she and the others haven't come back yet." Just as she mentioned it, Rarity and the group of girls came in with Fancy Pants, Fleur De Lis, and a few mares and caribou cows. They quickly noticed that both Rarity and Fleur's coats and manes looked a little singed. "What happened to you both?"

“Kill a drug lord, while freeing these fine ladies here.” Rarity replied.

"Yeah, by blowing up the sewers of Manehatten." Vinyl added. "It was pretty badass."

"Some of these females have broken minds and we're hoping that you could use your sword to fix them, Flash." Bonbon mentioned with a worried look.

"Flash Sentry?" Fancy spoke up with a surprised tone after seeing him. “How can this be? I saw you at Canterlot Castle just a couple of weeks ago."

"Changeling doppelganger spy." Flash replied before he stood up and took out his sword. "Now both you and your wife just hold still." They wondered what he was talking about before he swiftly swung his sword and the process of them being freed began as the cut on their bodies glowed bright. Once it died down, they felt like their normal selves again and Fleur's horn was restored as well.

"How did you do that?" Fleur asked with amazement as she was happy to have her horn back.

"Long story, I'll tell you both later.” Flash replied before looking at some of the injured females that were brought with. “Right now I have some work to do and we've got a war to win. By the way Twilight, did you send that letter to your brother and Cadance about the Crystal Heart and their baby?"

"Did it while you were gone and they replied that they're in." Twilight answered before she had a worried look on her face. "But they're very worried about the coming months since the caribou are expecting them to hand over their child after it's born and have it be trained to be a sex slave at such a young age."

"All the more reason to be ready when the time comes." Nightmare Moon said when she walked into the room and overheard everything. "I will continue to give the enemy nightmares so they'll be too tired to fight back while we free up the rest of Equestria."

"Well then, let's get some rest and be prepared for the upcoming battles ahead.” Flash suggested as he had a feeling it's going to be a very long few months until Cadance is ready to give birth.
