Fall of Equestria: A Flash of Hope

Rarity, Rose, and the rest of the girls stood outside the study, as Flash was sitting inside looking at both the map and the book he was given by the hooded stranger last night. They could hear his hoof tapping on the floor as he was well deep and thought at the items he was given. "Okay, so some stranger in a hood cloak just came out of nowhere and gave Flash all that stuff?" Lyra questioned the others. "And he said something about him having a vision when he was sleeping? This is the sort of thing that Princess Luna would have helped us with."

"What do you mean?" Rose asked with curiosity.

"Well darling, Princess Luna has this magical ability to enter dreams." Rarity explained. "If any pony in Equestria had very bad dreams, Princess Luna would have arrived and relieved them while also explaining why they had those nightmares." She and the other mares look down with sad looks. "But now that she's been cut off from her magic and everything, she can no longer help those suffering in the dreamworld."

"Not only that, but he said that the stranger told him that he or she was there to guide him down a path to save Equestria." Vinyl added. "What's that even supposed to mean, and where was this pony, or whatever it was, two years ago?"

"You know I can hear all of you, right?" Flash called out, which surprised the group. "If you want to know what's going on, you can come in." The girls soon came into his studies as they walked up and saw the blank piece of paper in the book. "Now are any of you sure none of you can see the map that's right there?"

"Sorry Flash pony, but it's completely blank." Dimora told him before she pointed at the opened book. "But what does the book say?"

"I wish I could tell you, but it's written in old Ponish-Latin." Flash told them. "I'm not very fluent in it, it's almost a dead language."

"Great, now what are we going to do if you can't even read that stuff?" Lyra questioned before they heard the doorbell ring. "Great, who could that be at this time of day?"

"Somepony I know who's very fluent in this language, other than Twilight." Flash answered as he got up and went to open the front door. They followed closely behind him as they made it to the front, and he opened the door to reveal Sunburst, who looked extremely exhausted as he was sweating so much while he was carrying a large bag. "Everyone, this Sunburst. A pony I met at the Crystal Empire when I was stationed there. He mostly spent his time alone reading books and stuff and he went to Celestia's School." He introduced before he noticed they were quickly on all fours. "Hey, it's okay, he's completely against all of the Caribou way as well."

"You serious!?" Shine asked as Sunburst finally caught his breath.

"It's true!" Sunburst told them. "I'm not really into all of this… I don't even have a sex slave of my own…" The girls were surprised by this as they stood back up, except for Rose, just as Sunburst looked at Flash. "So…You have a book that needs my attention?"

"In my studies." Flash stepped aside to let Sunburst in before following him behind as Lyra closed the door.

In the studies, Sunburst was flipping through every page of the book as he was speed reading through it with interest in his eyes. "...and then after I looked up from both the map and the book, the one who gave it to me just disappeared without a trace." Flash finished explaining. "I really hope that you'll be able to understand what the book says and why it was given to me in the first place." Sunburst closed the book as he had a grin on his face.

"Flash, this book… it predates long before Equestria was even founded… longer than any other kingdoms wherever made!" Sunburst declared with excitement. "It tells about an entire kingdom full of alicorns, and it wasn't just mares, but male Alicorns as well!"

"Are you being serious right now?" Octavia asked with disbelief. "There were both female and male alicorns?"

"Yes, but this book is just focusing on one alicorn." Sunburst told them. "An alicorn then created all other pony races, the mother of all ponies, Faust." The moment they heard that name, the ponies in the room looked both shocked and surprised. "I know right?! But it's at the end that really gets me going because it tells about you and us, the Elements of Harmony, and all of pony kind, including a few caribou, taking down Dainn."

"So, my dream was a vision." Flash said with realization before he picked up the map. "And how come none of you can see this map?"

"Well, according to this book, the reason why no one else can see the map but you can is because you've been chosen to see it and wield the sword you saw in your dreams." Sunburst explained.

"But what if this is all just a trick, what if someone knows that you're completely against all of this, and this is just to get you to show it out in the open, so that they can turn you into a female?" Bonbon questioned with concern, all while Flash stared at the map.

"Then I guess we're going to have to take that chance." Flash mentioned, which surprised them. "We're going to get that sword."

"We… What do you mean by we?" Talia questioned with a brow.

"If I'm going to have any chance of getting that sword, I'm going to need all the help I can get." Flash explained before looking at all of them. "So that means, I'm going to have to train you all how to fight."

"Fight?" Tanya repeated with a brow and a grin. "Now we're talking."

"B-But, a slave should always be nothing but a cocksleeve for their master." Rose spoke up with concern. "We're not allowed to fight at all."

"Because according to this map, it's leading us right towards the Everfree Forest." Flash answered, which shocked them all.

"The place where the Caribou let out a bunch of plants and creatures that will capture and rape us, or pump us full of eggs for who knows how long until we die!!?" Shine questioned with disbelief. "Now we know this is a trap..."

"It's the only lead we have." Flash told them with a serious look. "If we are being led down a path to free Equestria, then we're going to have to follow that path. So everyone, pack your things. We are going on a little trip." He then looked at Sunburst with the same serious look just as the girls went to pack their things. "I know that you're not okay with combat and stuff, but I could really use you to translate that book."

"O-Oh okay, just as long as none of us gets hurt or dies." Sunburst replied before a thought came to him. "But the Everfree Forest is heavily guarded, how are we going to get in?"

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Flash replied before getting out a piece of paper and dipping a quill in some ink. "Right now, I need to write a letter to someone who might help us out."

After a quick train ride to Ponyville, the group got out and could already smell the scent of sex in the air. "Damn, our home isn't what it used to be." Octavia whispered as she and the other girls were walking on all fours.

"Just act natural until we get to a hotel.” Flash whispered to them as they carefully made their way through the town. Rarity, Octavia, Vinyl, Lyra, and Bonbon, looked around their hometown. Flash then gave a tug on Trixie's leash as she got up and crawled behind him on all fours as they walked back to the group. "Okay, now we can go." He told them as they realized he went to them to buy Trixie, and keep her safe and away from those two con artists.

The sooner found a hotel room to rest in as Trixie was told about why they were here and was completely surprised. "I know that back when I was their performance mare, I made up some stories that just seemed very crazy, what you all are doing is completely suicidal." She told them. "Are we even sure that the sword is even real?"

"That's what some of us have been saying." Shine mentioned as she gestured to both Flash and Sunburst sitting at a table while looking over both the book and the map. "But Flash seems really focused on all of it."

"I’d be more worried about going into that place and never coming out." Tanya mentioned with a slight chill up her spine.

"Okay, even if they have guards surrounding the forest, doesn't mean that there's not a way in.” Flash told Sunburst as he stared at the map. "According to this, it's showing us multiple entry points we can take to get into the forest."

"You mean showing you, because you're the only one who can see it." Sunburst corrected before he was curious about something. "You sent a letter to someone before we left, who exactly was it?"

"Just somepony I've known ever since I was just a colt, can I trust you with my very life to help watch our backs." Flash replied before he gestured to Rarity. "And he's bringing somepony who will hopefully not beat Rarity to a pulp when they get here."

"All I had to do was ask around for where you went and both Flim and Flam told me where you were heading after you bought Trixie off of them." Soarin mentioned as he looked around the room. "And are you sure that this room is safe for us?"

"It's good, Sunburst put a little soundproof spell on the inside of this room so no one on the outside can hear us." Flash told him, which made Soarin let out a sigh of relief before Flash gestured to Rainbow. "So you can remove that gag from her mouth."

Soarin nodded before he kneeled down and started working on removing the gag from Rainbow's mouth. Rarity had a concerned look on her face as Rainbow was glaring at her the entire time before the gag was finally taken off her mouth. "YOU MOTHER FUCKING BITCH!!!" The moment I found out what all my work was really about when Twilight came back and told us everything, I was horrified. But what really tipped me off more than just Twilight's words was what happened to Spike after the day Canterlot fell…" Rarity then walked over to Rainbow, no longer afraid of what she might do to her. "And I especially know how you feel when I found out what happened to Sweetie Belle-… I wish… I wish I could have done things differently…"

"Look, we can regret our past decisions later." Flash spoke up. "Right now, we need to find a way into the Everfree Forest."

"Oh, I see…" Rainbow said as she had an angry look on her face. "You brought us all here just to get rid of us."

"Actually, it's a completely different reason." Sunburst spoke up before things started to explain everything to her. Rainbow listened in on every word that they were telling her, even Soarin, before showing both of them the book and the map that only Flash can see.

"Dude, that's a lot to take in." Soarin mentioned. "How would you even know that this isn't a trick?"

"I don't think someone would just appear in my house to give me the stuff to trick us." Flash said before he looked at the girls. "But just in case this is a trick, all of you run as fast as you can. Do not stop, do not try to help us if we get caught, just run and don't look back." They were surprised that he would tell them that before he reached into his bag and pulled out a few cloaks from his back. "These have been enchanted to keep away any creature from the Everfree Forest away, so each of you will be wearing these tonight when we find a way in."

"But how exactly are we going to get in there?" Rose asked him.

"I know how." Dimora spoke up. "Diamond Dog workers create tunnels underground for everywhere. There is a tunnel that could lead us straight to the middle of the forest, we take tunnel tonight."

"Now that's wishful thinking." Soarin said before he looked at Rainbow, who just noticed him staring at her. "Look Rainbow, about all those times--" His sentence was cut short when Rainbow quickly punched him right in the face, surprising everyone in the room. "I deserve that…"

"Just don't talk to me, ever." She told him with a tone as she went over and laid on one of the beds.

"We can work on forgiveness while we make our way towards the forest." Flash assured Soarin before the two of them sat down at the table and began to make a plan.

Later that night, Flash stuck his head outside the entrance to the hotel to make sure no one was looking before he looked back at the others who were wearing the clothes. He nodded to them as a sign that it's all clear before they quickly and carefully moved through the streets of Ponyville. They can see a few lights in some houses as they can tell that some males, either pony or caribou, was taking advantage of any female as they can hear loud moans from each building. Dimora led them to a little secret Diamond Dog hole that was made a long time ago as she moved a boulder aside to reveal it, next to Rarity's old home, the Carousel Boutique.

"There was a Diamond Dog secret entrance next to my own home all this time?!" Rarity whispered harshly in both shock and surprise.

"Well you were able to find many gems with that horn of yours." Dimora whispered before each of them jumped down into the hole. Once they were all in, Sunburst used his magic to put the boulder back over the hole before he created an orb of light that illuminated the tunnel. "This way." She told the group as she gestured for them to follow her.

"So there aren't going to be any Diamond Dog guards down here?" Octavia asked Dimora as they walked.

"No, we had to scatter everywhere just so the Caribou won't capture us." Dimora replied. "So we should be safe down here until we get to the forest." The group stayed silent for a bit before Rarity cleared her throat as she looked at Rainbow.

"Never thought the Diamond Dogs would still be after me after all this time, or perhaps they were just after my beautiful gems that I've collected, right Rainbow?" She asked but got no response from Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow, please forgive me."

"I'll forgive you when Caribou Stags treat all females as equal." Rainbow growled before walking ahead of Rarity. Soarin looked back at Rainbow with a concerning look before he let out a sad sigh.

"Give her time, I'm sure she'll understand why you did all those things to her and eventually she'll forgive you. Just for now, it’s best not to talk to her." Flash assured Soarin as he placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I hope so…" Soarin said with his ears dropped back as they continued on down the tunnel. After a while, Flash noticed Rose Looking a bit uneasy before he went over to her.

"Rose, are you feeling okay?" He asked her before she began to rub her arms.

"It's just… All of this goes against all that I've been taught." Rose mentioned. "I mean, me wearing this cloak to hide my body, and you said you were going to train us to fight. I can't fight, I'm not strong enough to do that…" Flash thought for a moment before he stopped himself and Rose.

"Okay, let's start right now." He said which made the others stop and surprised Rose.

"B-But master…"

"No, as your master, I command you to learn how to fight right now." Flash told her as he took a fighting stance with his fists raised. "First up, ball up your fists." Rose started to put up her arms as they were shaking a little before her fists balled up. "The thing about fighting, it's to not let the adrenaline get to you. You breathe in slowly and steadily. Keep your hips squared to your opponent and when you see an opening you throw a punch right at him or her." He instructed before he opened one hand. "Try a small tap right here."

"L-Like this?" Rose gently threw a punch right at his open palm as Flash nodded.

"Yeah, yeah like that." He said before he pulled away and looked her in the eyes. "This time, when you do it as hard as you can. Hit me right on the jaw and I won't be mad when you do it."

"Flash, dude, there's no way she's going to hit you right on the--" Tanya tried to tell him right before Rose suddenly threw a punch right at his face, surprising the group as he stumbled backwards and nearly fell to the ground. "Whoa, I stand corrected."

"Oh my…I'm so sorry!!" Rose exclaimed in a panic as she quickly bowed to Flash who was rubbing his chin.

"N-No, that was good." Flash told her with a smile. "In fact, that punch had a very good force behind it."

"Why shouldn't her punch be so strong?" Rainbow whispered to the others with a brow. "She's been jacking off a bunch of cocks her whole life."

"Look, we get that you hate the Caribou as much as we do, but aren't you putting it a little on thick here?" Vinyl asked Rainbow before Dimora let out a whistle.

"Hey, the entrance to the forest is just ahead of us!" She called out for gesturing to a covered hole ahead of them. The group then started walking ahead as Talia walked next to Rose with a smirk on her face.

"That was your very first punch." She said with some sort of proud tone. "How did it feel?"

"It kind of hurt a little, but it felt good too at the sametime." Rose answered as Dimora moved the boulder covering the hole before climbing out of it. The others soon followed as they had made it to the center of the Everfree Forest. "So now where do we go from here?"

"Yeah, where does that so-called brilliant map say to go next?" Rainbow questioned as Flash pulled out the map and opened it up. To him, the map suddenly changed to show the everfree forest before it was drawing itself a path.

"This way." He directed while pointing forward. "Stay close and stay together everyone, we have no idea what's here." The group started to follow Flash as they tread carefully through the forest. They each kept an eye out in case something would come after them but strangely enough, as they spent about a few minutes treading through the forest, nothing came out after them.

"Huh, you know I would have expected at least one of those tentacle things to at least pop out and grab us." Vinyl mentioned with confusion. "Like that creature with tentacles coming out of its mouth before one of those weird star shaped creatures watching onto our vaginas and pumping its eggs into us and then--"

"Vinyl, please stop making me more anxious than I already am of being here." Octavia begged as they continued on before they suddenly bumped into one another when Flash stopped. "Flash, is something wrong?" She asked as they noticed he had a very baffled look on his face as he stared at the map.

"It's uh…it's gone…" Flash replied with a very confused tone.

"It's what?" Rainbow asked with a brow.

"The map, the moment we entered this open area, the entire map just vanished." Flash explained. "There's nothing on it."

"Are you being serious right now?" Sunburst questioned him.

"I am…and I have no idea why it just-oh wait, something is appearing on the map." Flash quickly mentioned when he noticed some words forming on the map. "It says, 'the Tempest of Shadows will attack before the ones who change forms arrive to take you to their Queen.'"

"What does that even mean?" Shine asked with confusion. "I mean, we're the only ones that are out here. Plus there's not even a cloud in the sky to even make a tempest." Suddenly a spear was shot right past them as it hit the ground. They all saw the spirit and saw it was made out of some sort of black stone before a black figure suddenly charged in and kicked Sunburst right in the back. Sunburst was sent flying until he crashed into a tree and was knocked out.

They then saw that the one who attacked him was some sort of Pony wearing obsidian armor and a mask with a blue V shape visor on it. They can see that the armored figure had a hot pink mane before the armored figure took out a small stick as it extended out into a spear. "Uh…I guess that's the Tempest of Shadows?" Rarity asked nervously.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Flash questioned the armored figure.

"You're the ones who trespassed here, and now you're going to see what I can do." The armored figure spoke with a distorted voice as the armored figure spun around the spear before taking a battle stance with it.

"Good, I was getting bored anyway." Rainbow said with a grin before she charged at the armored figure. The armored figure seemed to be faster than her as it quickly grabbed her arm before flipping over and twisting it from behind. Rainbow cried in pain before she was flipped by the armored figure and crashed onto the ground. Flash quickly pulled out a sword from his bag before tossing Soarin a bo staff.

"Suddenly, I miss being the guinea pig for Flim and Flam!" Trixie exclaimed nervously.

"Rarity, you and the others go check on Rainbow and Sunburst!" Flash called out. "And I'm telling you this because whoever this is seems way stronger than he or she looks!"

"No need for an argument here, darling!" Rarity shouted as she, Shine, Lyra, and Bonbon went to go check on Rainbow Dash while the rest made sure Sunburst was okay. Soarin then took flight into the air before diving right towards the armored figure. But suddenly, the armored figure jumped right over his attack when he swung the bo staff and began to rapidly kick him right on the back. Soarin then crashed onto the ground before the armored figure grabbed him by the wings and twisted them, causing him to cry out in pain.

"Shit, whoever that is, they are really good at fighting." Moondancer mentioned as they helped Sunburst up.

"Get off him!" Flash called out as he quickly ran and tackled the armored figure. The two of them then started clashing weapons as Flash was taking each step back with each strike. "Look, I think we've got off of the wrong hoof here!" He mentioned before he grabbed the spear. "We don't want to fight, we're just here looking for something."

"One: I don't care, and two: all you found is trouble." The armored figure growled before kicking Flash right in the stomach to knock him back before the armored figure leaped forward and was about to impale him with the spear. Flash quickly grabbed hold of the spear as he struggled to keep it from stabbing him. Rose and the others saw this as they helped up Soarin before Rose clenched her fist.

"Hips squared, breathe in and out, and wait for an opening…" Rose said as she raised both her fists as she stared at the armored figure. The group was then surprised when Rose suddenly charged forward and swung her fist right at the armored figure's head, which landed and sent the armored figure flying back. "I…I hit the enemy…? I hit the enemy!"

"Nice one, Rose!" Flash praised with a smile before he got up and looked at the armored figure, while also noticing that the mask was broken when he saw pieces of it on the ground. "Look pal, we didn't come here for trouble. We came here looking for a sword." The armored figure soon stood up and they were surprised when it turned around and saw the armored figure is really a unicorn mare with a broken horn, blue eyes with a scar over her right eye, and a glare on her face.

"Whoa… what happened to her horn?" Rose asked, which only made the unicorn's glare grow darker.

"I really don't like it when someone points out my horn." She said as sparks started to fly off her broken horn.

"Rose, look out!" Flash called out as he pushed Rose out of the way just as the Unicorn fired some sort of magical lightning bolt right at him and he was sent flying back before crashing into a boulder. The impact was so great, he barely stayed conscious before he could hear muffled sounds and familiar figures flying down and grabbing the rest of the group before he blocked out.

"Wake up!" Flash heard a voice echoing as he was coming to. Soon he was splashed in the face with ice cold water, which jolted him awake before he saw the same unicorn that blasted him, standing before him with a bucket. "Now, you sit there and don't try anything.” She said with a threatening look.

"Wait… what did you do with my friends?!" He questioned before he noticed that they were in some sort of cave with a light green glow Illuminating the place around them.

"Relax, your group, along with your slaves, are right next to you." The mare said with a scowl before gesturing to the left and right of him. Flash looked and saw the rest of the group being bound by some sort of familiar green goo on them. “Now if I were you, I would pipe down before the pony in front of you does it for you, by cutting your throat."

Flash noticed that this mare wasn't wearing any collar around her neck, which was really surprising to him. “I'm guessing that the Caribou didn't do that to your horn?" He asked her with a brow. “Because if they did, your horn would have been cut clean off. But yours looks like it has been broken off by something very strong."

"You're smart, for a bastard." The unicorn growled as her horn sparked. "But just because my horn is broken, doesn't mean I can’t show you ponies and all of Equestria what I can do."

"Enough, Tempest." They heard a male voice call out before they looked, and the group was shocked to see a changeling with some sort of purple color on his eyes as he approached them. "The queen will see them now. Plus we don't have to worry about them doing anything, now that their cutie marks have been removed."

"What are you--"

"Flash, darling..." Rarity spoke up to get his attention before she used her head to gesture to her flank and Flash saw that the three diamond cutie mark she once had, was replaced by an equal sign. It wasn't just her as himself, Soarin, Sunburst, Rainbow Dash, Lyra, Bonbon, Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, Trixie, and Moondancer were in the same boat.

"How…How did...?" Flash asked as he was completely baffled by this.

"Some other unicorn did it while you were out cold." Soarin told him. "She even did it to me and Sunburst too."

"Plus there was an earth pony stallion, a pegasus mare, and two more unicorns with her." Sunburst added before they were enveloped in the changeling's magical aura. They were soon levitating off of the ground as they were being dragged through the air while both the changeling and Tempest walked through the cave. "What I don't understand is how there is still a changeling here."

"I guess you deserve to know considering it was all your fault." Starlight mentioned, which caused Sunburst to do a double take.

"What do you mean it's my fault?" He almost outrageously asked.

"Do you remember when we were foals, and the day you got your cutie mark?" Starlight asked without even looking at him. "They sent you to Celestia's school for gifted unicorns and I never saw you again. You got your Cutie Mark and I didn't, I didn't make another friend because I was afraid of losing them because of a cutie mark. Plus you never even wrote to me back at Siler's Hollow." Sunburst had his ears dropped back at that memory before Starlight continued. "I mean, you could have at least told me how things were at that school! But you never did!" She told him while tears started to run down her cheek. "But why would you? Look at you, now a grand wizard that has his own little home in the Crystal Empire, even wise enough not to have a slave when the Caribou attacked and everything! You are just so perfect!"

"No I'm not!" Sunburst shouted as he had a stressful look on his face. "You have no idea what it was like at Celestia's School! I barely managed to keep up with all my studies and everything! I'm not a great wizard at all! I only went to the Crystal Empire just to have some relaxation, I didn't want to be stressed anymore!" Starlight was shocked to hear this before he continued on. "And what was I supposed to write to you about?! That I'm a failure?! That I couldn’t keep up with all my studies and everything?! If anything, I'm a total loser and I didn't want my only friend to know that."

Starlight didn't know how to respond to it as she only just sat down next to him while they both kept quiet for a moment. "How did we both end up like this?" He questioned with a sad tone.

"I don't know…" Starlight responded with the same tone. "Probably anxiety and fear… yet somehow we both end up seeing each other again and not how we thought either of us would end up…" They both went quiet yet again before they heard something coming from the book Flash got from the cloaked stranger. They quickly opened it up and what they saw glowing from the book surprised them, and it would surprise the others when they show and tell them about it.
