Twilight was alone in a bathroom as she looked over a sink full of cold water. She took a deep breath before washing her face and looked at herself in the mirror. "Okay…you've managed to get everypony in Ponyville out, captured some caribou, now comes the very difficult part." She said to herself before she heard a knock at the door. "Who is it?!"

"It's me, Flash!" She heard him respond. "You better get out here because things are not looking good!"

“What do you mean?" She asked after stepping out of the bathroom and following him down a hallway. "Did something happen?” They soon reached the throne room where she could hear every female pony, griffon, Diamond Dogs and dragons, some of them having makeshift clothes, having a bit of large arguments with the males as one of the stallions had a black eye. "Yeah, that's bad…"

"Stay away from me, you fucking pig!!!" A mare shouted at the stallion with a black eye as a bunch of changelings held her back.

"I swear, I wasn't going to hurt you!" The stallion said in defense while rubbing his eye.

"How long was this going on for?" Twilight asked the others with concern.

"Not long…just almost…an hour…" Starlight replied sheepishly. “We tried to calm this down but they won't listen."

“Maybe I can help and then get back to business.” Filthy Rich chimed in.

"Oh, don't even think about listening to a bastard like him!" Spoiled Rich said with a humfp.

"Honey--"

"Don't 'honey' me, you monster!" Spoiled shouted before slapping him in the face. "You really think I'm just going to forgive you after everything you put me and our daughter through, even after you had supposedly gotten that spell removed?"

"But he does have that spell out of them, every stallion in here does." Flash pointed out.

"How can you be sure of that?" Spoiled questions with a brow.

"It's just a feeling, right?" Flash asked Soarin, who nodded in response before the yelling in the room got louder. "Okay, we should really get this under control before it gets out of hand."

Twilight was feeling like a kid in a dark corner, unsure what to say to everyone. The longer it dragged on the more heated it became. Just before things got worse, two familiar faces entered the room. It was Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis, the two mares no one wanted to see again. Everyone was paralyzed with fear and confusion. As soon as they headed towards the middle of the room, Nightmare spoke first with a confident yet firm tone. "We understand your mistrust in each other, but this is no time to be bickering!"

"Right now, we want to know who is going to help us fight and who is going to stay here and continue to bicker over something this ridiculous!" Chrysalis spoke next.

"Yeah right, why would we work for either of you?!" A mare shouted with a look on her face. "You both are enemies to Equestria, one of you banished your own sister while the other invaded Canterlot! You're probably going to use us just to Equestria and then enslave us!"

"No, that's not true!" Twilight quickly spoke up. "They helped us take back Ponyville, granted the town was burned down, but it was the residence that mattered most! They're here to help us free Equestria from its enslavement!"

"Yeah like we're gonna trust you, princess of betrayal!" Another mare called out, which made Twilight flinch. "You run out and surrender yourself to those bastards without even putting up a fight! Not only that, but two of your friends easily became red collars before that!" Twilight then looked at Fluttershy and Rarity, who both looked down in shame at the mention of that before Flash quickly pulled her aside when a rock was thrown at her.

“She didn’t betray no pony.” Flash defended Twilight. “As it turns out, no pony had betrayed any of us. It was all the influence of that ‘Crystal Cock’ those caribou modified the Crystal Empire’s Heart. Dainn’s the one at fault, not Twilight or Rarity or anypony. And if you think for a minute that we ponies would betray our own, then you are blind like those that willingly gave themselves to our real enemy. So answer me this: Are we just going to keep dividing ourselves through hate and let those deermen win? Or will you pick yourselves up and use your fury towards our real enemy that made this happen?”

"Fuck you!" A mare called out as all the other females started shouting at the males again, which ended up going into a full-blown argument.

"Looks like they're still pretty mad and not in the mood to talk." Sunburst mentioned nervously.

"What are we gonna--" Trixie was going to ask before suddenly everything went silent. Everyone in the room looked at each other with confusion as not even a single sound of a pen dropping on the floor could be heard. Pinkie Pie even pulled out a bull horn from her mane and yelled into it only for nothing to be heard.

"If none of you have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!" An unfamiliar distorted voice called out before they saw a familiar cloaked figure walking into the middle of the room. "I mean, honestly, you're acting like they took away your arms and legs. Would all of you rather go back being slaves to Dainn? Because Flash Sentry was right about him being at fault here." Everyone looked at the cloaked figure with confusion as Flash, Chrysalis, and Nightmare Moon recognized the cloaked figure. "Now, before we go at each other's throats again, I just need to make sure that I have your full attention."

The cloaked figure then suddenly appeared next to Twilight, which caused her to jump in surprise when she saw the figure. "Okay, let's start by seeing who's here." The cloaked figure then snapped its fingers to make all the fillies and colts levitate in the air which surprised most of the adults. Applejack tried to ask what the cloaked figure was doing when she saw her little sister Apple Bloom, but quickly remembered that none of them couldn't make a sound. But when the cloaked figure snapped its fingers again, every filly and colt soon turned into balls of light before vanishing much to everyone's shock. "There we go, now for other business at hand."

“What have you done with those children?!” Rarity demanded in her mind."Including my little sister!" The cloaked figure then pulled Twilight close before tapping a finger to her forehead. Twilight then had a shocked look on her face as she stumbled back and held her head.

"Remember something important?" The cloaked figure asked Twilight as she was making magical swirls in her hands.

"Those…those were copies…" Twilight breathed out all of the sudden while everyone saw clouds of magic swirling above them. They then saw Twilight in her library within the clouds as they saw the cloaked figure approach her. "This was long before Ponyville was attacked by the caribou and we had to move every filly and colt somewhere deep in the Everfree Forest. But she approached me and told me that the Caribou would just hunt them down and find every single one of them." The imagery in the clouds then changed to Twilight and the cloaked figure with every youngling from across the land near a familiar pond. “That's when she helped me gather every child in Equestria and replace them with magical copies… I then erased my own memory of doing it so I wouldn't tell the caribou…"

The cloaked figure then snapped her fingers as she looked over the crowd. "Do you still believe Twilight is a rotten no good alicorn princess?" She asked them.

"But if they were just copies, where are the real ones?" A female dragon asked from within the crowd. The cloaked figure then pointed up as the clouds showed every youngling from across the land sleeping within crystals.

"You see, the children of every creature are fast asleep, those special crystals give them the nutrients they need to live while keeping them in a nice little dream." The cloaked figure explained with a calm tone. “This way, the children will stay safe while we adults fight on without worrying about them.”

"But…who exactly are you and why are you helping us?” Rainbow questioned the cloaked figure. A slight chuckle was heard from the cloaked figure before she removed the hood and every pony in the room let out a shock gasp when they saw a red mane, white unicorn mare before they saw wings coming out from her back.

“Faust.” Twilight whispered out loud before she and everyone else bowed in respect for the mother of the alicorn sisters and all ponies.

"Who?" Ember asked with a brow as she, Smolder, and a few other non-ponies didn't bow and looked at each other with confusion.

“She’s the mother of ponies!” Pinkie chimed in. “And, Celestia and Luna’s mother, like blood related.”

"But why are you here now?" Applejack asked Faust.

"Because I can no longer stand to see my little ponies suffer anymore." She replied with a hurtful tone. "But also I'm here because a certain Caribou God demanded that I handle this considering it's out of his jurisdiction…damn Odin and his pride…"

“Wait a minute, hold the phone.” Rainbow butted in. “You mean to say that the caribou’s god, their god wants us to stop his own worshippers by his word?”

"It was more like I demanded he handle it himself considering it was his people, but he said he had other things to do." Faust said with an eye roll and an annoyed tone. "Honestly, I think he just likes to sit on his ass all day and just watch with his one good eye."

“In other words: This act is ours and ours alone.” Tempest finished for Faust.

"Yes, but I cannot interfere as much, I can only help push you all in the right path." Faust explained before she looked at Nightmare Moon. “Just as I had to bring back my daughter Luna's dark half."

“Oh, that explains everything.” Fluttershy said out loud. “But now that everypony from Ponyville has been liberated, what do we do now?"

"Free the rest of Equestria, what else?" Faust said with a brow. "One by one, you must free other residents of Equestria, as well as the dragons, Griffons, and other creatures that have been enslaved by the caribou. While also giving their king a bit of fright. You see, I'm giving him a chance to surrender and return the land back to its rightful owners after giving him a warning and a few Omens to look out for."

“Don’t be ridiculous. Dainn will never surrender, even with his back against the wall.” Chrysalis pointed out.

“He’s worse than the storm king, and I knew ‘him’ before I met all of you." Tempest mentioned.

"And what kind of ultimatum did you give them?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Not ultimatum, Pinkie, Omens." Twilight corrected. “What’s bound to happen, can happen, and will happen. But what are the omens that you told him about?" She asked Faust.

“Well, one of these omens I told Dainn was that a rose would unleash its rage…" Faust started before she glanced at Rose a bit before smiling. “But another one was that a town founded by apples would be engulfed in golden flames."

“Sweet Apple Acres!” Applejack gasp with realization. "My granny and family founded Ponyville… and we just had it set on fire last night."

“That is correct my dear. But there's more and for a reason, I cannot tell you the rest.” Faust mentioned with a small smile. "But I can help you make this a suitable fortress." She then just lifted her hand and gave it a small wave before the ruins of the castle started to rebuild itself.

Everyone was amazed as the castle started to look as new as the stones that once builded were back in their rightful place and the tapestry was restored. Most of them moved out of the way when the pieces flew by them before being restored into the walls.

“Alright, I guess this could work.” Lyra said while looking around.

“But we need to stay hidden, remember?” Bon Bon reminded her friend.

“Relax, I put a very special spell on the castle to make it look like it's still in ruins." Faust explain. “No pony or Caribou will ever think to come looking for you here or disturb the tree."

"What tree?" Shine asked her.

"I think she means the Tree of Harmony." Twilight spoke up before realization struck both her and her friends. “How do I suddenly remember it after I forgot about it?"

"Same here." Rainbow mentioned with confusion.

"I guess all of us do too." Applejack said while gesturing to Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie.

“That’s because of the spell given off by what the caribou did to the Crystal Heart. The tree had to protect itself and the Elements of Harmony." Faust told them. “What do you think would happen if Dainn knew about it and the box?"

"He would have find a way to make its power his own." Twilight quickly answered with a look.

"As long as those monsters still use the Crystal Cock to influence you, you’ll continue to feel its effects.” Faust told them before looking at Flash and the sword. “That's why I had him look for the sword to free you from its effects.”

“Thank you, your grace." Flash said with a bow. "I will use this to slay my enemies and free everypony."

"Okay, now that you all know about some things, I shall leave you to the rest." Faust said as she was about to walk away before she stopped herself. "Oh one more thing before I go, you may have saw Discord's magic but have any of you actually seen him?" She asked Twilight with a smile. “But anyways…” She then looked at Flash. “Good luck my general, and my little ponies.”

With that, she left while vanishing, leaving everyone in awe. Flash was the only one everyone was looking at right now. “So, you’re in charge now?” Some random pony stallion asked.

“Flash pony in charge now." Dimora spoke up. "If pony don’t like, pony can join rapey caribou again.”

"No, I'm only a soldier.” Flash quickly intervenes. "The ones we should be following are Twilight, her friends, Nightmare Moon, and Chrysalis, because right now they are the only hope that we have to help save our home. So if some of you don't want to fight, stay here and be safe." There was then talking among the crowd before Flash noticed Fluttershy looking very sad for some reason before she left the room. Flash wondered what was bothering her before Twilight stepped up.

"Everyone, we know you all are scared, and I'm not going to lie, I am too.” Twilight told the crowd. "But Flash is right, we can't just rely on him, we have to rely on each other. The Caribou thinks if we're divided and at each other's throats, they win, but we're going to prove them wrong that we stay together no matter what. And I know that some of the creatures don't exactly like us ponies, but I bet you hate the caribou even more right now."

"You got that right." Smolder muttered with a brow.

“As long as we don’t have to have dicks in our mouths, then I accept.” A random female griffon said with utmost dignity.

"But we need each other if we're going to stop them, take back everything they took, and show the Magic of Friendship!" Twilight declared with confidence. "Who will join us?!"

Every creature pony or otherwise erupted in cheer of approval. The resistance has been created. "Nice one, Twi." Applejack complemented with a proud smile. "So what now?"

"We interrogate the caribou that we have locked up in the makeshift dungeon.” Twilight quickly answered before looking at Nightmare Moon. "Do you think you can handle them?"

"Back in my day, I was known as the master of interrogation." Nightmare Moon mentioned with a grin. "When I'm done with them, they'll be begging for mercy."

“Well, don't damage them too much. We need accurate info on Dainn’s forces, his outposts, his generals, everything.” Flash inputted his words.

"I'll help her with the interrogation." Tempest stepped up. “I ‘was’ the storm king’s commander. So, I too have my methods. We're gonna start with Lockjaw first.”

"The rest of us will see how we can get these ponies and other creatures fighting ready." Rainbow added. "We'll get these guys into shape!"

"Right, Twilight if you don’t mind. I want a word with you in private.” Flash said which Twilight agreed to do. They let the others do their new tasks. Flash and Twilight were now alone before he kissed her right away as Twilight quickly returned it in a passion. “I missed you, Twilight.”

“I missed you too, my sentry.” Twilight replied with a sweet smile before it became a sad look. "But I don't think anyone will ever forgive me for what I have done, spell or not.”

“Now Twilight, we’ve just been through this. It was nopony’s fault, the caribou simply deceived us, deceived us all." Flash reminded her. "Heck, they even fooled Rarity, and she blamed herself for causing all of this. And now we know, it was their fault even before the fall. They struck when we were at our weakest, and our pacifism and our kindness led them right into the heart of our country. Corrupting it with their sick ideals.”

"But still, they made me do so many terrible things to so many innocent mares." Twilight mentioned before Flash gently placed a hand on her cheek.

“Be that as it may, we can’t let that stop us." He told her with a comforting tone. "Cause that’s what Dainn wants, to make us doubt and forget. Forget who we are, our strengths, and our pride. Make no mistake, Twilight, I won’t stop until every stallion and mare is free, including other races that suffered by their hands. But most of all… I will see Dainn’s world crumble just as he did to our own world. I will take everything he owns. His slaves, his trophies, his zealots, and his very life. I swear on my dead mother’s name I’ll kill the bastard that raped and murdered our history of our once beautiful world.”

"Okay, just promise me you won't lose yourself." Twilight replied with a small smile.

“I promise, I will not give in too deep in revenge.” He said with a sigh. “But as of now, we need it to fight.”

"Most of us still have some recovering to do." She mentioned. "Like Fluttershy, I believe she needs help more than anyone."

"I did see her run off earlier.” Flash mentioned before they both nodded. "Let's go find and check on her." So the two ponies went off to search for the pegasus in question as everyone was doing their own thing somewhere in the castle.

In a room with only a lantern when a corner of the room lit, Lockjaw sat in a chair while Tempest sat across from him and Nightmare Moon stood next to her with her arms crossed. "So Lockjaw, we can do this the easy way or the hard way, I suggest you do it easy and answer our questions." Tempest told him with a straight look but he kept quiet.

“Not talking, eh?” As Tempest put her combat boot to his dick, causing him to squirm in pain. “I may be a mare, but I’ve been trained to do more harm in my previous job. So start talking!”

"Kick me all you want, it won't change your fate!" Lockjaw grunted with a glare. "You can't win. You may have beaten me and my men, and I don't know how you broke the spell on those simple-minded stallions, but you won't be able to do the same to all of the land. It is ours, and that Sun ass of a bitch is already a red collar, so there's nothing to save!"

"Very well, I was willing to do it Tempest's way but that remark was the last straw for me.” Nightmare Moon spoke up before her horn lit up in her magical aura and a strange metal box appeared in her hand. "Did you know that we once resorted to extreme torturing methods on attackers that attack our land many moons ago? This one is my personal favorite, the box."

"Oh, I'm so scared of a dumb box, dumb ass bitch." Lockjaw retorted with a slight chuckle before he was hoisted up in the air by Nightmare Moon's magic and jumper cables suddenly attached to the box.

"I guess a demonstration on what this little box does is in order." Nightmare Moon then removed his pants before taking the other ends of the jumper cables. "You see, we take each end of these clips and replace them right on your ball sack." She told him before she put the other ends of the jumper cables right on his balls. "Now, will you tell us what we want to know or do we have to make you scream?"

"Oh please, you're just bluff-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Lockjaw screamed when he felt his balls get electrocuted when Nightmare Moon pressed the button on the box. "The fuck was that?!?!"

"That was the first setting of the box." She replied with a grin. "Everytime you don't answer a question of ours, the settings will be turned up each knot until…well, I'll leave that as a surprise."

"Nice." Tempest complimented with a brow before looking at Lockjaw. "So, how many hidden caribou settlements are in Equestria?"

“I-...won’t…tell-AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!” Lockjaw screamed louder as the pain he felt was doubled.

"Wrong answer, try again." Nightmare Moon advised. “How…Many?” She asked while both of them staring daggers in his eyes.

"A-About…s-seven…with including…your settlements too." Lockjaw answered.

"Now was that really so hard?" Tempest asked rhetorically. "That's one question answered, many more to go. Tell us, how did you caribou manage to corrupt the Crystal Heart and its magic?"

“Ah…Our…our…priests…carry the knowledge of…rune magic…to control and corrupt others and their magics.” Lockjaw told them.

"But you didn't only change it first, you had to study it.” Nightmare Moon figured. "But I highly doubt that you would be given permission to be near something so valuable to study how to change it without shattering it. You had a spy or two to get you a small piece of it, am I correct?"

"I…I won't say!" Lockjaw shouted before he screamed in pain even louder than before as electricity was three times as worse than before. "Okay, okay! We had only one spy, one of our own when we first arrived in Equestria. The ponies including the rulers of the Crystal Empire shared its existence with him. But we had somepony else retrieve a shard of it for us."

"Who were they?" Tempest questioned.

"Fleur, one of them was Fleur." They heard a familiar voice answer before they saw Rarity enter the room. "I should know because she brought me with her to the Crystal Empire just so they could give Cadance a very special bottle of Essence, to slowly break her down."

"Y-Yes, one of them was her!" Lockjaw shouted.

Tempest snatched the box away from Nightmare Moon and turned up the dial almost full power. The caribou screamed so loud that the walls echo bounced off as the pain lasted for a minute. “You’re lying!” Tempest yelled. “Ponies would never stoop that low, even self aware mares like Fleur!”

Just as the broken horn mare was getting brutal with her torturing, Lockjaw began to chuckle. “Oh my broken horn mare. Like everyone of you sluts, you became so eager to learn and prosper with our materials. You just believed what you wanted to hear, making you easy prey for our real plan."

"But that's it, it really bothered me for so long as to why both Fleur and her husband, Fancy Pants, would even dare betray their own kind just to help you." Rarity mentioned with a brow. "But after the fall, I realized they didn't do it of their own accord. They are the most loyal ponies I have ever known, and the kindest as well. They would never do something so low as to betray us, unless of course someone from the inside of our own would use a little mind control spell to do so. Am I right?"

“Oh wow, how did you figure that one out?" Lockjaw asked sarcastically. "Before or after Shining-Gah!" He grunted when Rarity punched him right in the stomach.

"I believe I said it bothered me before the fall." Rarity mentioned with a brow. "Now, I believe the question you should be answering is who are the traitors that were willingly helping you?"

“Nobody betrayed you. You just fell for our lies-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Lockjaw screamed at the top of his lungs as his balls were almost fried.

"I believe that was a lie you were telling us, so tell us the truth." Nightmare Moon told him with a firm look. "Who…are…they?! Tell us or you will never be able to use your dick ever again."

“OKAY!” He admitted while tears started running down his face. “It was Coal Digger, of Digger inc. Not only him, but a royal guard that goes by the name of Olympus! Says that he sees Equestria was weak, underdeveloped! Believe that he was cheated when Shining Armor married that pink cunt and was given an Empire!” He took a moment to breathe before speaking again. “He worked hard to climb the ranks. After he was promoted to captain after Shining moved, he began to see Equestria was too peaceful and invasion was bound to happen. He tried to talk to the sun slut about it, but like us strong smart males, she dismissed him. Gave him a reason to turn on his own countrymen."

"You mean it gave him a reason to become a complete imbecile.” Nightmare Moon corrected. "The reason why my own sister dismissed his claims is because she believes that the ponies that live in Equestria will be able to protect it, for she believes in all her ponies. And what I have seen from Twilight and her friends, they will be able to save Equestria from any threat. That idiotic fool only did what he feared by doing so, and in doing so, giving us a reason to hunt him down like the animal he is."

“He was right about the invasion, he even tried to warn your sister about it." Lockjaw told her with a grin. "It’s your own damn fault for being too blind by your precious harmony to see the danger within your own nation.”

"Perhaps if he had more faith in his own kind, this would have never happened." Tempest mentioned with a brow before she looked at both Rarity and Nightmare Moon. All three of them nodded before Nightmare Moon turned the Box all the way to full power. "Now say goodbye to your balls."

"Wait what?! No, wait, I'm sorry!!" Lockjaw shouted in a panic while Nightmare Moon slowly reached for the button. "I never meant what I said, I was joking! Please, I'm begging you!!"

"Then perhaps we could spare you, if you answer every question we have truthfully without any insults to us or to our kind." Nightmare Moon told him as her finger was just above the button. "Do we have an understanding?"

Somewhere in the castle where Fluttershy is seen in a garden, she had her wings wrapped around herself as she was letting out sobs. Flash and Twilight appeared looking around for the butter yellow pegasus until they eventually spotted her.

“Fluttershy!” Twilight said aloud, gaining her friend’s attention as she walked right to her. “What happened?”

“Oh…it’s nothing Twilight.” Fluttershy answered in a sad tone. “Just coping with remembering everything that has happened…”

"And by the looks of the tears running down your cheek, I'm guessing it's not going well.” Flash mentioned before he and Twilight sat on both sides of Fluttershy. "Want to talk about it?"

"I…I can't…" Fluttershy replied as she hid herself under her wings. “I-I-I feel so dirty…dirty and so horrible.” She then turned towards Twilight with very sad eyes. “Remember the day the Caribou attacked Canterlot? Before they attacked, I saw something odd and I just thought they were setting up for the festival but I was completely wrong. And I was the first of our friends to turn…" She started to sob again as the memories of what happened flooded her head. "I…I did so m-many awful things to so many mares…and animals… especially towards Celestia… I'm going to be banished when all this is all over and I deserve it…"

“Now don’t say that.” Flash assured her by holding her. “Like Faust said: This was all the caribou’s doing, not yours. They just knew who to pick off, like on a hunt, always going for the weakest.”

"I… I've always been weak… I just turned red and didn't even…" Fluttershy couldn't finish her sentence as she couldn't stop crying. Twilight then pulled her in for a comforting hug as she wrapped her arms around Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy, you're not weak…" Twilight whispered with a comforting tone. "You're strong in your own way. You can tame even the wildest of animals, such like a manticore or a cockatrice.”

“Yeah, but the caribou are worse." Fluttershy weeped. "I became tamed instead of the tamer. My animal friends suffered because I was weak.”

"Stop saying that." Flash spoke up to get her attention. “You got to stop putting yourself down like this, because your friends need you now more than ever. You can help make a difference by acting instead of sulking. Your animals may have suffered, but don’t forget everypony suffered too. You have the power to stop this, only if you fight for it, and if not, then life will truly be gone.” Fluttershy felt her heartbeat as she looked into his eyes when he was telling her all that stuff. She held her cheeks rising while a feeling inside her heart was warming her sadness.

"Flash is right, and I know how you feel Fluttershy." Twilight mentioned. "Me and Rarity both know…we also believe it was our own faults, but it never was. Rarity was tricked into making outfits for them and I did my best but the pressure I was under wasn't helping. Each of us knows how you feel and you don't have to be alone in this.”

Fluttershy thought long and hard of what they were saying, and decided to get up while flexing her wings. “You’re right Twilight. I need to stop feeling guilty and focus on restoring Equestria.” She said before she felt a little shy. "But I don't want to fight…"

"It's okay, maybe you can help with the medical stuff.” Flash suggested while gently patting her back. "And maybe get some of your other animal friends to help out. Mainly sending birds to scout out enemies and deliver messages by paper. And if you're too scared to sleep alone, I'm pretty sure Twilight wouldn't mind if you will sleep with us.”
