Heart Souls: The Loss of Harmony

"Meow." A cat purrs atop a tree while a white mare panics for her cat.

"Oh, Opalescence! Mommy has called the brave and noble and handsome to boot fire department to save you and rid me of this grief!" An over acting unicorn would cry in despair.

"Uhm, miss? Here's yer cat." Treasure, already holding the cat, was trying to pass it to her.

" Oh? Thank you, kind stranger, but you didn't have to since I've already called the fire department."

"Oh, they won't be comin, since we'll be the ones doing that job for now on, the VanGuards..."

"..." The mare remained silent.

The embarrassed stallion was now forced to explain his line of work, to avoid further embarrassing himself. " Am sure ya heard about the mayor's project, right? That's us."

"Oh? Oh! I see, she truly is impressive, isn't she?"

" She is? Well, I haven't met the mare fer that long, so I can't tell... Well, maybe she is; id giver that." He pondered.

" Well... Would you like some tea and biscuits? You know, as a thank you for saving my Opalescence." She invited. "Just a quick bite is all."

" Well, alright. A lil bite won't hurt, I guess?" The foolish stallion lured into the white mare's den.

" So yer names Apple?" The mare asked.

" Yes." She replied.

The earth pony began looking at her from head to hoof. " And yer a unicorn?"

" Y-yes," she replied with deminishing confidence.

The mare was confused but curious at the pony in front of her. "A see..."

She walked to her side and looked at her resume. "It says here Yer from Appleoosa, correct?"

"y-yes?"

"Well, yer definitely an apple alright, but I don't recall anyone there marryin a unicorn before, and I haven't seen ya in any of our reunions."

" Well, I guess I wasn't invited before?"

"... Gasph!, perhaps... no way!" She jumped on her and gave a big hug. " You poor theng!"

" E-excuse me?" The confused unicorn questioned.

" May you be earth pony er not, discrimination is NOT allowed in the apple family! Come with me cuz! And let me introduce ya to the family!" The mare dragged Apple to the barn.

"wwwwaaaaaiiiiiiiittt....."

" Alright, class, we have a visitor with us here from the Vanguards! The new village project our mayor has made. Give a round of applause to Miss Bluebell!" The foals began cheering and clapping, which made the mare extra excited and happy that she wanted to give a banger of an entrance, and so she did.

POOF! A puff of smoke appears and is engulfed by a purple flame.

The foals were a bit frightened at first, but as soon as she revealed herself from the smoke, the foals were entertained and continued to cheer.

" Greetings! For I am Bluebell, the great magician!... Vanguard!"

The foals were confused for a bit but continued to cheer on.

"Wow, what a great entrance from... Um miss, your uniform is on fire." The teacher worriedly warned her.

" Part of the show, miss! Continue on!"

"... The firey magician, Bluebell!"

Stab... Stab...
" Does Quilt hate me?" Tapper continued to stab the litter on the park.

" What the hell are the vanguards for anyway?" He continued to recycle.

" I must've done something... definitely."

"ACHOO!" Quilt sneezed.

" You okay there, partner?" Tiara asked.

" Yeah... Must've been someone talking about me." She continued to help file the papers in the mayor's office.
" What should I do with the damage report here?"

"Give the red ones to Bob and the rest at my table."

"Done."

" Thanks; now please give a quick check of these papers before sending them off to Milly."

"... You forgot your stamp here, ma'am, and the date on page 12."

" Thanks!"

Scorch!

A battlefield erupted near the school grounds of the School of Frienship.

" I told you it wasn't us, officer! It was that phoenix!" Bubbles yelled while hoof cuffed with Bright at the back of the police vehicle.

" Fine! I believe you!" He began uncuffing the pair.

"See, I told you that staying calm will make them see that we aren't the ones who caused the fire." Bright lectured Bubbles.

"Oh, shut up, Bright! Im pissed as it is. Now that troublesome phoenix wished it can die."

The enraged phoenix relentlessly attacked anyone in sight. It was abnormally bigger than the ordinary phoenix and its flames were able to hurt and badly burn even a dragon. The police were forced to put up a barrier, but even that did not deter the phoenix.

Shingg! Bubbles blade rings true.

" You've caused enough trouble, little bird."

Smash!

Bubbles slammed the back of her swords hilt at the neck on the phoenix and crashed it through the ground, causing a crater to form.

Everyone was shocked at how fast the mare was. It only took a blink for her to be behind the weary Phoenix; it couldn't even react on time.

But that was not enough for the phoenix to faint.

KRAAA!!!

The bird was enraged and began releasing an unimaginable amount of heat and flames. The rest could not stand the heat and ran, except for the two, who kept their ground and stood against the phoenix. It was Bright's turn, and he continued to smash the head of the phoenix with his sword and its cover intact.

It's like hitting a rock, and the bird seems to be unfazed. He then flung it to the air for Bubbles to finish it off.

" Bubbles! Kill it!"

She sheaths her blade, and the bird turns to dust before exploding into nothing.

"I didn't expect that you'd actually kill a phoenix. I guess that was my fault." He face hoofed.

" Just turn it back into an egg next time," he added.

"Nah... And I also wanted to blow off some steam. That shit ruined our night at the park."

" Shhh..." Bright warned her.

" Oh, right. Sorry. Well then officers! Looks like your job here is done, sooo... Don't forget who helped you! Vanguards!"

"Yup. That's us, i guess..."
