“ Burning knights, join my army, and my aid for your cause will be assured.”

The proud griffon made a deal with the knight but refused; instead, he pointed his blade at the warlord.

“ General Gallus, who gave you authority over your new title? Surely not the princess. I side with no traitor.”

“ You know me from the past? And by that, my mortal years—how long has it been since I last feared the passage of time? Ah, forgive me, old pony, for I do not recognize you, for I have forgotten many.” The warlord bowed before the knight.

“ Dearest, you have no need to show favor to this knight; he may know you from the past due to your fame. He might not have any roll at all in our time of glory.”
The knight did not let the hippogryph continue to sully his name.

“ You may be a general from the past, Lady Silver Stream, but no longer. You have become a pillow between his legs.”

The mockery enraged the hippogryph and furled up her feathers; her stance was intimidating. She growls with violent intent.

“What a waste; you have chosen death.”

Gallus quickly flew towards the knight and struck him with his spear, while his wife assisted him by lounging with her claws wide open, ready to tear apart the foul mouthed knight.

The knight parried and dodged the hippogryph’s claws, giving the soft-spoken knight an opening to strike the hippogryph from her side.

She manages to cut only her furled-up feathers, giving the dancer a chance to counter her.

The dancer's claws were not able to pierce through the knight's armor, but her small frame and light body got flunged off from the side and fell to the ground.

Her knight was able to reposition himself quickly to her side and guard her as she quickly picked herself up.

“ Are you alright, Milady?"

“Damn wench think she’s thick.”

“She has nothing on you; she’s all feathers.”

This further infuriated the couple.

Gallus would point his spear towards the sky, and lightning would strike where he stood.

“ You shall know why I have become a warlord.”

The wind became violent. A storm grew out of nowhere, making it hard for the knights to move. The sands began to pick up, and it was hard for them to see each other. But the warlord and his wife are already used to this kind of weather. In fact, they opened their wings and were swept away by the storm. They flew high above, swirling around the knight.

And once they gained distance from above, they dove in for the kill. Gallus’s spear would reach out to the knight through the sand storm.

The knight was able to parry it, but when he countered, the strong wind would buffet his blow.

Even the soft-spoken knight is having a hard time flying and dashing around. While the hippogryph could easily dance through the storm and strike the knights in succession,
“Were trap.”

“Maybe we should’ve lightened the mockery with these birds.”

“Too late for that.” The soft-spoken knight began flying against the wind and causing her own vortex. Her speed was always top-notch, easy for her to make her own storm.
With that, they broke the storm. But with a cost.

Gallus would throw his spear towards the center, and lightning would strike there, but the soft-spoken knight is directly above it.

Crash! The lightning struck directly above the knight.

She crashed to the ground, unconscious.
“ My lord, I thought you wanted that knight.”

“She has caused too much trouble for us.”

But before the hippogryph could react, the knight was able to land a strike at her back.
Silver Stream tried to swipe him off, but her movement was already sluggish by the stab from the back, which gave the knight another strike from her side before Gallus could come for her rescue.

“You bastard!" His spear was fast but was manageable to dodge.

He quickly grabbed his wife and flew away as fast as he could.

In return, he too rushed towards his lady.

“Wake up! Wake up.”

“A little lightning like that is nothing to us pegasi. Cough, cough, cough!”

“ I’m fine; I’ve been struck by lightning since I was a filly; it runs in the family. But this lightning is somewhat different."

She then tries to stand up, but she still feels like she's in a daze.

“I'm fine; go help the mage; she’s bleeding out. Go, I’ll catch up.”

Luckily, other knights have finally arrived to aid them, and one of them is the healer.

“We were trying to find you, but a storm came out of nowhere. Surely you two are involved in that. And we were right! ”The healer deducted.

“Quickly! A knight is heavily injured.”

“ heal.”

The detective was instantly healed.
“And done; you don’t need to be so dramatic about it.”

“O-oh…”

The knights present there were shocked at how fast and effective his healing was.

“Hey, why didn’t you heal me like that?” The soft-spoken knight asked.

“… I didn’t. You healed naturally, and it's not as severe as hers.”

“oh. This is the first time I’ve heard about it.” She looked at the first.

“Sorry, you didn’t ask.”

“hmm…” the soft-spoken knight pouted.

" The white essence you absorbed pretty much healed you up. And it took quite a lot, actually. So be thankful for the innocent lives you have taken for saving you."

" Why'd you have to put it that way?" she jabbed the knight at his shoulder.

He'd retaliate with a hug.

"It's okay."

"I didn't mean too."

" I know. So let's go back to the village and rest."

"Yeah, and besides, the whole town was going to get wrecked by the rhinos anyway; we might as well grab the essence and go." The looter knight added.

" What the hell are you talking about? We already stopped the rhino!" The leader announced.

"Well, the last time I checked, half of our team split and ran off to Celestia knows where, and who ever stayed in the village might as well be dead." The mapper knight explained.

" So killing the caster wasn't enough."

" Then let's go back. Save the brave ones who stayed," the first knight ordered.

" Two of you can't even fight, and we actually just fled. So you're on your own, pony." The mapper knight declined.

" Tsk. Fine, stay here; I'll be back."

" You're going to die out there!" The looter knight shouted.

" Were already good as dead with these numbers to begin with."
