A chiseled sight to behold
When a gunshow leads to a date
Inside the Maretime Bay recreational center, we find an array of ponies large and small as they spend their time inside the large building either chatting with friends, engaging in group activities, gaming, having some quiet time, relaxing in either the indoor spa or cafe, or working out in the gym area. Which is where we will find a certain earthpony.
We find a small array of stallions and mares near the rec centers gym as they spend their time either pumping iron, yoga training, taking self defense courses, running on the treadmill, or to give assistance on newer members. Speaking of newest members, we find non other than Sunny Starscout near a secluded area in the gym as she indulges herself in various yoga poses, all while listening to some techno tunes on her smartphone which blasted slightly through the earbuds that she was sporting.
As she continued to stretch and breath throughout her exercise session, a few stallions and even some mares couldn't help but admire the mares flexibility, which was to be expected as she and her friends have gained a few fans after saving the day not too long ago. A few of em even took the direct approach to either compliment Sunny, or find time to playfully flirt with her. While she did enjoy the attention, the mare didn't feel any sort of spark from any of the mares or stallion in the gym who flirted with her, even though she did enjoy the company.
But alas, her heart was already set on one stallion whom just so happens to be the local sheriff in town. But given that they've been best friends since they were foals, the fear of getting friend zoned plagued her mind. While it would be nice to start a relationship with her childhood friend, or to even go out on a date with him. The mare felt that it was all but impossible, given not only by her friend zone fear, but with the stallions various fans and admirers in his precinct. For all Sunny knows, he's probably in a relationship already.
She shook her head slightly as some sweat fell off as well, brushing off her thoughts "for now" as she continues her private yoga session. But the image of her stallion friend continued to pop up in her head during each stretch, but maybe, just maybe there could be a chance? As the old saying goes.........
you'll never know, unless you see for yourself
2 hours later
As the sun begins to set over the towns horizon, many of the occupants at the Rec center began to collect their things, ready to head home while a few stayed to re-energize at the spa or to hit the showers real quick before heading out themselves. While most of the employee's began to clock out and a few staying for a bit to tidy up a bit before closing down for the day. We then find Sunny as she begins to pack up her equipment ready to head home herself, as she places her yoga mat inside her gym bag, the mare lets out one long stretch after a long exercise session as a small yawn escapes from her mouth.
"Whew, I'm not the type to swear, but damn what a day!" She said to herself, she then took it upon herself to check the time on her phone which read 6:35 pm much to her surprise. " Yowzers! Have I really been working out for that long? Hehe if I stayed even an hour longer , I'd be as ripped as a minotaur " Suddenly a loud rumbling sound can be heard catching the mares attention, Sunny then looks down to find the source of the mysterious sound as she let out a small chuckle.
"Guess a protein bar and a latte wasn't enough to fill me up hehe. Hmmmm, it's still a bit early, maybe I'll grab dinner at a hayburger joint before heading home" She then took it upon herself to take a quick sniff of her underarms. "But first a quick shower" The mare said no more as she placed her phone inside her gym bag before heading towards the locker room to clean herself after a long day.
A few minutes later
Stepping out of the shower, feeling refreshed. We find Sunny as she finishes toweling up her hair until it was completely dry, all while she breaths a sigh of relief after exiting the shower feeling refreshed and energized especially after her long gym session. " Ahhhhhhh much better, that's just what I needed. and it saves the effort of waiting till I get home to bathe" Once she felt her hair and body was completely dry, the mare places her towel back inside her gym bag before making her way out of the locker room. " And now to end the night with a hearty hayburger dinner"
As she makes her way through the hallway, while humming a small tune to pass the time. The mare suddenly hears a sound coming from the stallion marked locker room which caught the mares attention. " Huh? That's odd, I figured everyone else went home already?............Eh maybe its just one of the employee's cleaning themselves before their shift ends" She was only a few seconds away before brushing it off, until a familiar voice can be heard from inside the room.
"Damn you are looking good!!!! Came a voice which alerted the mares curiosity as she knew exactly whom the voice belonged too.
"Wait......is that who I think it is?" She thought to herself. The mares curiosity soon got the better of her as she slowly opened the door to the stallion locker room, all while taking a few seconds to look back just to check and see that no staff member see's her entering restricted territory. As soon as she was certain the coast was clear, Sunny slowly made her way inside to investigate the source. She steadily closed the locker room door as to not startle or raise the attention of the stallion who was inside, the mare then tiptoed her way through the locker room taking a peak at all the bleachers, lockers, and even the showers to find where the stallion was, all while feeling relieved that it was practically empty which would aid in her stealthy approach as she continued to follow the voice.
Soon Sunny reached the final layer of lockers which is also where the massive mirror was housed for Stallions to look at their progress or to just show off to themselves. As Sunny reared the final layer of lockers, she took a peek to see who it was , a surprised expression formed on her face as her suspicions were correct all along. There standing in front of the mirror admiring himself , stood non other than her Childhood friend Hitch Trailblazer. The mare was in awe as she realized that the voice belonged to one of her friends, but that wasn't the only thing that caught her eye.
The earth pony starred in utter amazement at the stallions physique as he continued to flex and admire himself in the mirror. Sunny’s jaw nearly dropped at the sight, while Hitch was known around town of being the most handsome citizen, the mare had no idea he was packing so much muscle on him, even when he wasn't wearing his sheriff outfit. Here gaze was like a pinball machine as she continued to secretly survey her stallion friend. With his chiseled leg muscles, triceps, pectorals, erector spinae poking out as he flexed every single portion of his body, a small hint of lust can be seen from the mare as well along with some drool at the sight.
" Oh yeah you are one fine piece of hard candy!" Hitch said to himself, and then proceeded to flex his arms, causing his biceps to bulge and ripple. " Look at these guns, I could practically poke an eye out with these babies. Hehe who needs handcuffs when I got these bad boys?!" The stallion went even further by giving each of them a kiss, all while Sunny stared off in amazement at the sight of the stallions massive arms as her face turned red with enjoyment.
"Sweet baby Celestia!" She said in her head. " Those puppies are practically the size of coconuts, does this guy bench press a boulder or something?! Hell he looks like he could smash a boulder with just one punch!" But the peep show didn't last for too long as the mares hungry belly once again rumbled loudly, which not only surprised Sunny, but also alerted the flexing Stallion.
"What the hell?!" Hitch shouted as he turned his head to find the source of the noise that disturbed his little flex session, and soon his gaze made contact with non other than his childhood friend Sunny Starscout who's blush was still visible along with a a face full of embarrassment. there was an awkward silence between the two friends as both of em didn't know what to say to each other in this situation, especially with the mare making it completely obvious that she was secretly spying on his little muscle show. After what felt like an eternity, Sunny finally mustered up the courage to speak all while letting out a nervous giggle.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh hehe whats up Hitch?" She said in a nervous tone as some sweat began to form which only furthered her nervous demeanor, she didn't know what else to say in this situation, and the fact that Hitch was literally a sheriff didn't help her case either, given the stallions past of temporarily detaining or lightly scolding his friend from her many antics, whats stopping him from either writing a ticket to the mare for being a peeping tom? As she waited for the unenviable to happen, a chuckle can be heard coming from the stallion, bringing a look of confusion from the mare.
"Hehe, ya know Sunny" hitch chuckled as he walked towards his friend. " I can actually write you up for being a peeping tom and sneaking into the guys locker room"
Sunny became slightly flustered at the stallions statement, and was quick to explain herself " Oh uh IIIIIIIIIIIIIII I'm sorry Hitch, it's just that, I heard your voice, I didn't know, its just that, you know how my curiosity can............." The mares words were cut short as a hoof blocked her mouth, preventing her from speaking any further.
"Sunny chill" Hitch replied with a grin. " It's cool, I'm in a pretty good mood anyways. So I'm kind enough to give you a "get out of a peeping tom ticket cause were friends free card" This earned him a chuckle from the mare along with a friendly nudge as well.
"Hehe classic hitch" She giggled, but her confused look soon returned as she spoke once more. " It's strange really, I don't remember seeing you inside the rec center, were you working out in a private room or something ?" Hearing this caused the stallion to blush slightly as he scratched the back of his head.
"Oh, hehe yeah well" He began. " I didn't actually workout in the rec center today, I was actually doing my weight training at the academy's gym. But ya see, I don't really like using the showers there, mainly because they're barely cleaned, so I figured I'd shower in the rec center, especially since they gave me a nice discount whenever................." But unknown to the stallion, Sunnys gaze was on something else, as he continued to scratch the back of his head, the mare managed to get a vice view of the stallions pectoral muscles which rose slightly as he spoke. With Sunny certain that she could see them both glistening a bit as a lustful smile formed on her face, wishing that she could stick her face between those manly chesticles .
"Uh earth to Sunny? The mare was instantly snapped back into reality after hearing her friends voice. " My eyes are up here" A nervous grin and blush formed on the embarrassed mares face at the realization that Hitch caught her starring at his pecs while he was talking to her, and was soon quick to apologize.
"Uh sorry Hitch, got lost for a second there" Her nervous sweat returned as she continued to grin, while waiting to see what his response will be. But to her surprise, the stallion gave a mischievous grin, making it seem like he was plotting something. Before Sunny knew it, she found herself getting softly pushed onto a nearby bleacher, and soon found herself sitting comfortably as Hitch looked down at her with his grin still visible.
“I'm not surprised at the slightest Sunny” He said with a hint of cheekiness. “ After all, your gaze has been focused on……….THESE!!!” He then proceeded to flex his left bicep, looking all macho as he did it as the mare watched in awe and amazement at the massive bicep peak that resided on her friends arm . He then proceeded to flex the other one all while looking proud as he did so. “ You and I have been friends for years, you’d have to wake up pretty earlier to hide your feelings from me” He then grabbed the mares hoof and gently ushered it towards his left bicep for her to cop a feel.
Sunny was in a state of shock as she felt her friends chiseled bicep, amazed at not only the size, but at how rock solid it was. “ OMG it really is like a coconut!”
“ Hehe ya like that Sunny?” He asked earning him a nod of approval from the mare, he then proceeded to pull off a lat spread which made his pectoral muscles much more visible to the eye, as sunny continued to watch on. “ Well how bout this toots” Sunny’s face turned a bright red as she surveyed the manly eye candy that stood right in front of her. “ Hey, wanna see me dance?” Hearing this made the mare raise an eyebrow as she wondered what kind of dance he was talking about. But she soon got her answer as Hitch began to bounce his pecs which made the mares jaw drop in amazement. “ This is what I like to call the pec dance!” Sunny remained speechless as she watch her friends pectoral muscles dance and bounce right in front of her as they went from up and down, to independent.
Hitch then turned away and proceeded to pull off a double back bicep pose which not only showed off his chiseled back muscles, but also his quads and gluteus maximus as well. “ God I wish I had some popcorn with me” Sunny thought in her head as she continued to watch her friends muscle show. Hitched then turned to face her again as he pulled off another pose , this time it was a side tricep move. It seemed as if Sunny’s entire body was blushing as she surveyed every single ounce of muscle that resided on her friend. Hitch noticed this and soon a sneaky grin formed on his face.
“You enjoying the show Sunny?” He asked which earned him another nod from the mare, and before she could say anything, Sunny felt herself getting lifted up and brought into a loving embrace as she felt the stallions strong arms gently press against her back with her face nestled softly between his pectorals. “ How bout a closer look then?” Hitch’s grin grew as he felt his friend softly breathing between his pecs, he then felt her hooves wrap around his waste as well, as she returned the embrace as a big smile formed on her face as she silently muttered “Please don’t be a dream, please don’t be a dream, please don’t be a dream………………”
Sunny then took a small whiff. “ You smell………..amazing” Hitch chuckled as a response.
“Thanks, that’s my new cologne. I was skeptical about this brand at first. But your reaction definately makes me wanna buy more of it”
“Please do” Sunny said with a big smile. Before the pair knew it, they found themselves staring at each other, as their eyes locked onto each other with a hint of intimacy fully visible between the pair.
“You sure are something Sunny” hitch said in a romantic tone.
“Hehe, your one to talk studmuffin” Sunny replied, and before they knew it, the two friends found themselves inching closer and closer to each other and their gazes never left, soon they found their lips inching closer and closer to each other as they both shut their eyes, knowing exactly whats to transpire. But as their lips were only 2 seconds away from making contact with each other, a voice from the outside called out , revealed to be one of the janitors which interrupting the would have been kiss.
“Hey uh, if there's anyone still in the locker room. Just giving you a heads up. We shut down in about 5 minutes” He called out.
“Oh uh, ok! Be right out” Hitch replied, soon the duo broke apart from the hug and the would have been kiss as the sounds of hoof steps echoed through the corridor, hinting that the janitor left. Another awkward silence entered the room as the two friends rubbed the back of their heads in embarrassment as blushed formed on each of their faces, all while they tried to find the right words to say to each other. After what felt like an eternity, the stallion finally broke the ice. “ Hehe, well………that was………something”
“Hehe no kidding” Sunny replied. “ But I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t enjoy the show”
A bigger blush formed on Hitches face at his friends remark. “ Hehe thanks Sunny, I’m uhhhhh glad you enjoyed it, and I’m also glad that you took a peak at me as well”
“Me too “ Sunny said with a loving smile, The mare twiddled her hoof on the floor slightly as she tried to muster up as much courage as possible to continue. She then closed her eyes and took a deep breath and spoke up. “ Do you wanna go out for dinner tonight?” She was quick to close her mouth after realizing what she just said. A blush of embarrassment formed on her face after the realization came to her that she just asked her friend out on a dinner date. But to her surprise, a chuckle could be heard escaping from the stallion which earned her attention.
“Hehe sure I’d love too” He replied much to the surprise of the mare. “ There’s actually this new Saddle Arabia themed place that I’ve been wanting to check out for a while, and I heard from one of my coworkers that they’ve got some amazing food. But ya know it’s funny, I was kind of hoping that I’d be the one to ask you out.
“Wait really?!” Sunny replied in utter shock. “ I mean…….don’t get me wrong Hitch, but I’m surprised. I mean, I’ve always ……admired you even when we were kids. But seeing as how your pretty popular in town with a lot of fans and admirers to boot, I always felt that I’d never have a chance or wasn’t your type. And I always thought that my feelings would ruin our friendship, especially given that it took me this long to finally reveal them”
“I felt the same way too” Hitch replied. “ With us being friends for a long time, I always figured that my own feelings towards you would ruin it as well. But seeing you now Sunny, and how much we’ve both grown………………I wouldn’t mind trying out something…….new” A blush formed on the stallions face along with Sunny’s as a smile formed on her face as well.
“I wouldn’t mind giving it a try either……….big guy” Sunny said , and then wrapped her arms around the stallions neck into a hug , to which he returned as well with a sigh of relief. After a few minutes, the embrace ended as the pair stained into each others eyes as a romantic ambience filled the room. Hitch then grabbed his saddlebag and proceeded to lift his arm towards Sunny.
“Shall we M’ lady? He said with a smile, Sunny gave a smile of her own as she placed her gym bag on her back before wrapping her arms around the stallions strong bicep.
“Lead the way, Prince Charming” She replied as a chuckle escaped from his mouth, and soon the pair made their way out of the locker room ready for a night of fun.
Yup……no doubt they’re gonna turn out just fine, wouldn’t you agree?

Hope you guys enjoyed this little one shot short story, this is just a silly idea that I came up with last night, and it's also my first time writing this type of story so it might be a bit sloppy in some areas
Also not really a fan of the current incarnation, but Sunny and Hitch look so cute together that I just couldn't resist
