Terra, 1942

Marshall College, Ancient Civilizations with Dr. Jones

As Dr. Henry Jones teaches his class about the ancient Egyptians and their gods, a man knocks on the classroom door. Dr. Jones stops his lecture and steps out into the hallway, "Class dismissed!" Jones says as he leaves.

The man had come with a message from the United States government. Dr. Jones, the man, and a few of his associates walked to Henry's office and sat down.

"So, you need my help?" asked Jones.

"We have reason to believe the Germans have sent soldiers to search for the Book of Thoth," said one of the agents.

"And you need me to get it before they do?"

"The book has incredible properties that the Allies don't want in Hitler's hands!" said another agent.

"There's no point, even if the book is real, the last time a mortal supposedly had it, it led to a number of deaths," Jones replied.

"So then if it is real as you say, would it not be better in a museum where no mortal can mess with it?"

"You drive a hard bargain..."

Jones gathered his belongings and set off to Britain to read up on the book and the tomb it was kept in.

Equestria, 1003

Canterlot Castle, Royal Library

Twilight Sparkle sat reading an old book on stars and space. Her and her friends had been asked to visit the capitol city for a weekend with the princesses. Twilight was so engrossed in the book that she barely noticed her friends trying to get her attention.

"Twi, ya there?" Applejack waved a hoof in front of Twilight's face to get her attention.

"Hm? Oh, girls! Yes, my apologies! This book is just so fascinating. It says here that Star Swirl the Bearded was able to use the power of the stars to travel through space!" Twilight gushed.

"Well, how 'bout some grub? Ya'll can tell us all 'bout it over dinner!" Applejack said with a friendly smile.

And Twilight did tell them all about Star Swirl's space escapades. Twilight theorized with the information in the book that the spell could be recreated and that ponies could colonize space or meet species on other planets.

That night, as all of her friends slept in the guest bedrooms of Canterlot Castle, Twilight worked tirelessly on Star Swirl's spell.

Finally, she got it! Her horn lit up and pointed towards the floor. It took all of her focus and a lot of energy, but a minute later, there was a portal that glowed with a bright beige. The portal produced several loud sounds that woke up Twilight's friends.

The five other ponies came rushing in with panicked expressions, "Darling, what is that thing?!" screamed Rarity.

"Space travel!" responded Twilight, she jumped in with a determined smile.

"Yay! Magic portal!" Pinkie Pie said joyfully as she bounced in after Twilight.

Rainbow Dash shrugged and dove in after her friends.

"Wait up, ya'll! We don't know if that thing's safe!" Applejack warned as she jumped down into the portal.

Rarity seemed conflicted but eventually, she stepped towards the portal, "Are you coming, Fluttershy?"

"I-I don't know..." She breathed in hesitantly, "I guess I'll go..."

Rarity and Fluttershy stepped through cautiously. The portal closed behind them. They weren't in Equestria, that was for sure.

Terra,1942

Outside the British Library, London, England

Dr. Jones walked away from the British Library having found and read the book that originated the myth of the Cursed Book of Thoth. He thought about what he had to do next when suddenly, a strange portal opened up above him.

Six ponies whose height came up roughly to Indy's waist spilled from the portal in rapid succession, "What in God's name?" Dr. Jones stepped back cautiously.

Twilight dusted herself off after being trampled by Pinkie Pie. She looked up to Henry with starstruck eyes, "Star Swirl was right! There is life on other planets!"

The rest of the ponies emerged from the portal and then the strange interplanetary circle closed. Everypony, excepting Twilight, looked around in confusion at the strange apes around them.

Twilight immediately rambled out questions, "What planet is this? What time is it? What's your name? Who is your leader? What species ar-"

Twilight was cut off by Rarity, "Darling, it looks absolutely mortified! Calm yourself, please."

"Where are my manners?" Twilight giggled nervously, "Hello! My name is Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends!"

"Dr. Henry Jones, pleased to meet you."

"You speak Equestrian?" asked Twilight with even more stars in her eyes.

"You speak English?" Dr. Jones asked, still with caution. "You know what? That doesn't matter, follow me before people start asking questions!"

Henry began to walk in the direction of his hotel nearby; the ponies followed.

The Savoy, London, England

Indy's hotel room was pretty swanky. When inside, Indiana sat on the room's armchair and began to ask some questions to the strange horses before him.

"So you're horses from another planet?" Jones asked.

"Ponies actually!" Twilight corrected, "Horses are a very different thing."

"Alright, well I'm on a very important assignment and I'd appreciate it if you went back to your planet."

"See, we would, but," Twilight looked down at the carpeted hotel room floor, "My magic doesn't work here."

Dr. Jones thought for a moment, "Well, lucky for you, I'm looking for a magical artifact from ancient history. Maybe we'll find something along the way."

"Thank ya kindly, Dr. Jones," Applejack tipped her hat, "Nice hat by the way!"

Henry smiled slightly, "Likewise, and call me Indiana."

A Private Plane Miles Above the Atlantic Ocean

The British Parliament had agreed to let Indiana borrow one of their planes for his trip to Egypt. When in Egypt, he would stay with Sallah in Cairo. As Indiana was doing some light reading, the plane started to shake and Indy heard the rapid sounds of small bits of metal rapidly hitting other bits of metal. Indiana looked over to the ponies, who were still marveling at the majesty of a plane, and then to the plane's cockpit.

Dr. Jones walked into the cockpit, "What's happening?"

"Sir, we're being attacked! The plane's going to go down!"

"Damn, where are we right now?"

"The middle of the Mediterranean!"

"Alright, you focus on landing this plane somewhere, I'm heading out!" Indiana rushed back to his seat and grabbed his stuff.

"The plane's going down! You two can fly right?" He pointed to Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.

"Best flyer in Equestria!" Rainbow Dash said confidently, "What do you need?"

Indiana pulled an inflatable raft from his bag and inflated it, "You four pile in with me! You two float us down!" Indy commanded as he placed the boat in front of the emergency exit door.

The six ponies did as he asked, Indiana sat at the front of the boat and grabbed the door's latch, "Get ready for the ride of your life!"

The door opened and everything that wasn't bolted to the floor flew out of the plane. The inflatable boat went first with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash not far behind to lift it up. The two Pegasi floated their friends down gently into the water. It seemed like the attacking planes didn't notice. Indy, however, did notice them.

"Nazis," Indiana commented.

"What are those?" asked Twilight.

"Evil incarnate is what they are."

I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones and I thought this would be a pretty neat idea! I really hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
