Chapter 1: Breaking Point

It was a fine day in Ponyville. All the little ponies were tending to their daily duties, and the Pegasi were preparing the sky for a huge storm that was scheduled later that day… Well, all except Fluttershy who was off in the park, taking care of all the wood land creatures who relied on her. She was thinking of the glorious time she would have with Big Mac later that evening.
Fluttershy was so happy she could hardly contain herself, her thoughts bubbling with her joy and raw excitement. She never imagined that Big Mac would ever notice her, let alone have feelings for her, but he came to Fluttershy just the day before and asked her to go to the Hearts and Hooves Day Ball with him. Her heart nearly burst just thinking of the Ball, her mind drifting back to Big Mac asking her, and how the only thing she could say was a small, embarrassed squeak of a yes.
After a long day’s work, Fluttershy had finished securing the last bird’s nest. All the tiny critters living in the park would now be safe from the storm, and Fluttershy could go home and start preparing for the ball, but as she began prancing along the cobblestone path she paused. She spotted Big Mac up ahead and quickly dived into a nearby bush. She questioned herself for a moment, wondering why she was avoiding him. Her thoughts ran short as she watched him from the confines of the bush, her mind drifting over the glimmer of his red coat, and she couldn’t help but observe the stallion as he trotted through the park.
She regained her confidence as he passed by her, not noticing her hiding in the brush, but she stopped herself again when she noticed Big Mac walking towards another pony. Cheerilee smiled at Big Mac, her purple coat glittering in the sunlight, and Fluttershy felt an odd, boiling feeling in her heart. She watched, feeling helpless, as Big Mac and Cheerilee walked to a clearing in the park and sat down together on a lovely little blanket. Cheerilee produced a basket and the two began talking as the purple pony set up a picnic lunch.
Despite her best efforts, Fluttershy couldn’t make out a single word the two were exchanging, which worried her some as she watched their friendly teasing. ‘What could he possibly doing with Cheerilee?’ Fluttershy questioned herself silently as she creeped behind a tree in hopes of getting a better look. She watched as Big Mac would offer a brief word, earning a giggle or smile from Cheerilee, and then continue talking to the purple pony. It bothered Fluttershy that he spoke so much to Cheerilee, where as he barely offered her a word, but as the afternoon wore on she began to think her suspicion was misplaced.
After watching the pair for more than an hour Fluttershy let a small, relieved sigh escape her lips. ‘They’re just having a friendly lunch together, she decided, a small, bashful smile dancing across her lips. She was about to turn away and head home, her mind retreating to thoughts of the wonderful evening her and Big Mac would have together, but then suddenly Big Mac leaned over and kissed Cheerilee.
Her heart stopped for a moment, her eyes widening in shock, as Big Mac and Cheerilee began to kiss each other more deeply. Her mind dangled on the edge for a moment as the scene unfolded before her eyes, and she wondered why Big Mac would do such a thing to her. After all, hadn’t he asked her to the Hearts and Hooves day Ball? She felt tears well up in her pretty blue eyes as she rushed from the scene, her wings picking her up from the ground, and she flew towards home as quickly as her wings would carry her.
Her hooves landed delicately on her front lawn and she ran to the front door, tears sliding down her cheeks as she pushed open the cottage door, and slammed it harshly behind her. She carried herself slowly to her room, small sobs escaping her lips as she stepped through the doorframe. She closed the curtains, blocking out the sun, and crawled under the covers without another sound.
Several days went by and no one had heard from Fluttershy, and everyone had expected to see her at the Hearts and Hooves Day Ball. In her absence, the animals around Ponyville had started to encroach with grumbling bellies. They were so accustomed to Fluttershy’s tender, loving care that they could barely function without her, so with her locked up at home, they were stealing food from the residents of Ponyville. Everypony started to complain about the critters making a mess in town, and eventually Twilight Sparkle just couldn’t handle the ranting and raving anymore.
She marched herself down to Fluttershy’s cottage, intent on finding out what was wrong with her friend. She wonder if Fluttershy had maybe come down with a cold, which would explain her absence, but even a cold wouldn’t stop the kind pony from helping the woodland creatures from finding their supper. It was so unlike her to abandon little animals in need so, naturally, Twilight began to worry more and more as she wondered what was going on.
When she at last arrived at fluttershy’s home she first tested the door, assuming it would be unlocked, but was surprised when the door didn’t budge. She glanced around the property briefly, surprised that she didn’t see a single bunny, bird, or chipmunk. Her concern growing, Twilight rapped her hoof against the door a few times, waited, but received no answer. She tried again, a bit more urgently, and called out to her friend. “Fluttershy?” she called. “Are you here?” her voice carried into the house softly, causing life to stir inside the dark house. “Everypony is really worried about you, and the animals are starting to cause trouble,” Twilight said through the door, hoping fluttershy would hear her.
“Come on, Fluttershy. Please tell me what’s wrong,” she said as she waited for the door to open.
The lock clicked softly and then slid open slowly, allowing Fluttershy to peek out. Her eyes were red and puffy, her face dirty and matted from crying, and she had a few small smudges around her eyes from rubbing away the tears. Fluttershy’s expression portrayed a pony who had cried so much that she could no longer cry, but small, sad whimpers still escaped her lips as she stared at Twilight. “What’s wrong Flutterfly?” Twilight asked with as it of shock, having never seen her friend in such a state of depression.
Fluttershy blinked a few tears free and then shook her head, retreating into the house as more sobs began to escape her. She sat down on the couch, her house almost completely dark with all the curtains drawn. “Big Mac doesn’t like me anymore!” she cried into a pillow on the arm of the sofa, her voice muffled and pathetic.
“Is that what this has all been about?” Twilight asked a bit harshly, a confused look crossing her face for a moment.
Fluttershy looked up, a look so pathetic on her face that Twilight cringed, feeling a bit guilty. The creamy colored pony wiped at her eyes uselessly as she inhaled a shaky breath. “Yes… And he hasn’t even told me he doesn’t care anymore,” she whimpered. “Oh Twilight, I don’t think he ever really cared about me!” she sobbed and then buried her face in the pillow again.
Twilight gently nudged Fluttershy with her nose, feeling sorry for her dear friend. “It’ll be alright, Fluttershy,” she offered gently. “Why do you think he doesn’t like you anymore?” she questioned gingerly, trying to tread lightly around Fluttershy’s shattered feelings.
“Because he wants to be with Cheerilee! He was with her just last week, before the storm, and I saw them kiss!” Fluttershy frantically cried as she brought herself up from the pillow, eyes filled with fresh tears. “Oh Twilight, he wants to be with Cheerilee,” she sobbed and then rested her head on the other pony’s shoulder.
Inexperienced in relationships, Twilight barely knew what to do for the wounded pony, but she gently patted Fluttershy’s mane and offered the only advice she could think of. “I know it hurts now, Fluttershy, but sometimes you just have to forget about stallions who cheat,” she offered lightly.
“But I love him!” Fluttershy shouted, though it echoed in the room like a weak, defeated scream. “I don’t know what to do Twilight,” she sobbed and then buried her face into the dark pony’s coat.
Feeling sorry for her friend, Twilight wondered what she should say to make the situation better. “Fluttershy, sometimes you just have to face ponies who hurt you and put your hooves down, you have to be firm, and don’t let them push you down,” she said sternly. Fluttershy brought her head up and stared at Twilight for a moment, her eyes wide and oddly blank. Twilight felt like she was staring into a mirror as Fluttershy seemed to shut off. She seemed doll like, fixed in a trance, and for a moment, Twilight wondered if the softly colored pony would shatter into a million pieces.
“Fluttershy,” Twilight said a bit more softly. “I hope everything works out,” she said then inhaled slowly through her nose, her nerves growing tense from the strange look in Fluttershy’s eyes. “So please, come back and start taking care of the animals again,” she felt her work was done with her advice in Fluttershy’s ears, but she still felt uneasy as she made her way to the door. Quickly, she glanced back and saw Fluttershy still staring off into space, and she wondered if she should stay. The glassy look in those pretty, sea blue eyes made her worry, and she felt that there was nothing else she could do. With a heavy sigh, Twilight closed the door sharply behind her.
The sound rocked Fluttershy’s whole body and she snapped back to reality, her mind dancing back and forth over everything that had happened, and suddenly all was clear to her. Fluttershy slowly rose to her feet, letting her soft, pink mane fall down against her shoulder, and she stared at nothing in particular. “Twilight’s right,” she murmured slowly. “I have to put my hooves down,” her voice began to get lower, her eyes narrowing into a sharp, little scowl. “I’ll show him how it is… And he will love me,” she said and slowly turned towards the door, her wings perked slightly with the notion of flight. “He’ll love me, or love no one.”
With her words ringing gently within the empty cottage, the door slammed shut behind her. Fluttershy’s wings brought her upward, carrying her into the air, and she returned to Ponyville. It seemed like everything would go back to normal as Fluttershy started taking care of the animals again, and for a while, everything danced by in complete normalcy…
A week and a half after the Hearts and Hooves Day incident, there was a perfect summer day; the sun shining, the sky a soft, cheery blue, and the only thing in the air was the soft whistling of a few, tiny birds. Fluttershy hovered along with them, humming along with their darling little tune as they made their way to Sweet Apple Acres. The birds danced through the air for Fluttershy and then disappeared into the trees, leaving only their song behind, and the pony smiled a bit to herself. “Goodbye little ones,” she said gently and then gave a small, satisfied nod before she turned and was about to fly home.
“Hey, wait up Fluttershy!” a voice called. Fluttershy glanced back, seeing the emerald green eyes of one of her good friends. “Howdy,” Applejack said, lacking her usual gusto. Something was obviously putting a bit of a damper on her spirits, and it she wasn’t doing a good job hiding it. “Gosh, I really hate to bother you Fluttershy, but have you seen my brother, Big Mac?” she asked curiously and Fluttershy offered only a small, confused tilt of her head.
“No, I haven’t seen him at all lately,” Fluttershy said softly, looking a bit disappointed. “Maybe he’s with Cheerilee? They seem to spend a lot of time together,” she said slowly, her voice trailing off a bit towards the end of her statement.
Applejack gave her friend an odd, confused look. “Hey now, I thought you two were going out,” she said a bit sharply, a look of annoyance coming to her usually perky face.
“No… No, we haven’t been together for a while now,” Fluttershy murmured softly, her eyes closed. For a moment, Applejack thought she might cry, but Fluttershy opened her eyes again and shook her head. “I’m so sorry I can’t really help look for him, I’m so busy with my animals,” she told Applejack, and the blonde pony just gave a little shrug.
“Nah, it’s nothin’ much to worry about,” she said with a big smile rolling across her face. “But darn that brother of mine… Seems like not a pony in Ponyville can stay off ‘em, and he don’t mind it one bit… Can’t keep his hooves to just one pony,” she murmured a bit more sourly, eyes narrowing slightly as she glanced off into nowhere land. She coughed suddenly. “Anyway, I surely hope everything works out for you, and I bet Big Mac’ll figure out what he’s missin’ with you,” Applejack offered in a cheery voice.
Fluttershy smiled at her blonde friend as the apple bottomed pony walked away. “Don’t worry, he will soon,” she whispered under her breath. With that, she picked herself up off the ground, her wings flapping gently, and then flew off to her home. She had a lot of work to do and was excited to get her project started.
She landed almost silently outside her tiny cottage and then trotted delicately towards the door, humming the same tune the birds had been singing. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her, locking it, and then going around the room and making sure all of the windows were sealed and locked. After checking everything she went to the sofa and placed her hooves against the arm, pushing the couch aside. Under the oversized piece of furniture, there was a small trap door with a large, silver lock on it. Fluttershy undid the lock slowly and then opened the door, humming again as she made her way down the stairs hidden under the heavy wooden door and, as she descended, flicked on a light.
The wine cellar hadn’t been used in years; in fact, old barrels of the stuff from when her granponies lived in the house were still stacked up to the ceiling in the dark, cave like room. The only light in the cellar was an old, rickety fixture with a single working slot for a light bulb, so visibility was always at a minimum. The walls were made of random chunks of stone picked up from a nearby field, and the floor was simply soil with a few, thick planks placed over top when Fluttershy was just a Philly.
Once in the basement, Fluttershy lit a large, torch like lamp that illuminated the rest of the cellar. On the far side of the room there was a pony tied to one of the old barrels. He was losing weight, having not eaten in days, and his once lustrous coat was fading into a dull brown from the lack of sunlight. Fluttershy to a row of hooks hanging from the wall and the stallion lifted his head a bit as he fully realized she was present; Big Mac stared at Fluttershy, a vague look of disbelief in his eyes.
Fluttershy pulled down a torn up old, white dress from one of the hooks and slipped it onto her body. It rested gently against her flank and the hem just barely passed her tail. “How do you like it?” she asked gently, her soft voice dancing about in Big Mac’s ears. In a strange, horrific way, she looked quite lovely but then again, Fluttershy always did. Even in the darkness of the cellar, her pretty sea blue eyes were somehow bright with some new, intense emotion. “It was my grandmother’s,” she whispered gently as she walked almost shyly towards Big Mac. “She married in this dress, but sadly, she also died in it,” she continued. “I had to go and dig it up, but I think it was worth it, don’t you?” she asked, leaning forward just a bit.
Big Mac wasn’t totally there as she spoke, more focused on her eyes than anything else. He hadn’t eaten during his stay in the cellar, and he’d barely been able to sleep because of Fluttershy’s frantic raving coming through the floorboards. He didn’t even register the look of disappointment on Fluttershy’s pouting face. “Honey,” she said as she slowly walked towards a nearby table. “You should really pay attention when your bride is talking,” she said as she slipped her hoof under a knife. She turned sharply and slammed the knife into Big Mac’s lower leg, just below his knee, and there was a slight look of satisfaction on her normally docile face as he let out a sharp, agonized cry.
Suddenly alive like a wire, Big Mac fully came to, and realized where he was and who he was staring at. “Sweetie,” Fluttershy said softly. “I don’t want to hurt you, but you hurt me when you ignore me,” she said with a sad little frown. “I just can’t take it,” she murmured a bit more harshly and Big Mac felt the knife turn inside his leg, causing him to grind his teeth to keep down the screaming. “if you don’t pay attention to me, I’ll just have to put my hoof down…”
Big Mac thought quickly, unsure of what to really say in the situation. He opened his mouth a bit, but the pain in his leg caused him to snap it shut again, allowing him a moment to really think. “Of course,” he murmured slowly, talking through the haze of pain. “I’ll give ya all the attention you’ll ever need, but I’d really like somethin’ to eat… Dear,” he said slowly, calmly, and without choking on his own agony.
Fluttershy’s eyes fixed on him, wide and unblinking, and he felt like he might be sucked into her deranged fantasy, but then her cute, little smile spread across her lips without warning. “I’d love to make something for you, sweetie pie,” she said in a soft, childish sort of way that gave the twisted image of innocent love. Fluttershy reached down and jerked the knife free from Big Mac’s leg, tossing it aside, and didn’t seem to notice the stallion slam his head against the barrel as the pain rolled up his spine.
She glanced back at him, smiling, then leaned forward and touched her nose affectionately to Big Mac’s. “I’ll be just a little a while,” she said then pulled away and trotted up the stairs, humming again.
The red stallion twisted in the ropes a bit, wondering what had happened to the sweet, wonderful little Fluttershy he had known just a few days ago. He sat in relative darkness for a long time, and he guessed it had been about an hour since Fluttershy had carried herself up the stairs. He didn’t really understand what was going on, but he knew if he could get lose, he could over power Fluttershy and get the hell out of her house. He struggled for the majority of the hour, hoping to get free before the deranged little pony came back, but when he heard the creak of the hinges and the slam of the door he leaned back and stopped fighting with the loosened ropes.
The light flickered back on and Fluttershy reappeared with a softly colored cake, her white dress decorated with a few frosting stains and some odd, red splatters across the front. The cake was dotted in little frosting apples and butterflies, and overall looked fairly delicious, but something about it made Big Mac worry. He watched as Fluttershy set the cake down on the table and scooped up the still bloody knife she had stabbed Big Mac with not long ago. “This is my special ‘Angel’ food cake,” she said with a little wink as she cut into the cake with the knife. The stallion watched as she pulled the large piece away from the cake, seeing odd, reddish chunks inside of it, along with red smears where the knife had tainted the otherwise lightly colored cake.
“Ya don’t mean… You didn’t put Angel in that cake, did ya?” he asked with shock evident in his tone. Fluttershy had been friends with all the little animals of Ponyville, and he’d never thought she could ever harm a single one of them, especially not Angel, her cute little bunny that she was so fond of. Was this pony really that Fluttershy everyone knew and love?
“He was such a little brat,” she murmured slowly, a dark look rolling across her face for just a moment. “And besides,” she said in her small, shy voice. “I don’t need that stupid bunny anymore, I have you, and you’re all the company I’ll ever need,” she said fondly and Big Mac saw her visibly twitch as the words left her mouth. After cutting the cake up, she pushed a chair in front of Big Mac and set the piece of cake down on top of it, then produced a fork. In an almost loving fashion, Fluttershy cut a piece of the cut off with the fork, and then tenderly fed it to Big Mac. He was disgusted by the chewy chunks of rabbit meat he found in the cake, and even more sickened by the fact that they still tasted raw even though they had been baked. Each bite was tainted by the thought of the bunny, the taste of his own blood from the knife, and the pleasant smile painted across Fluttershy’s face as she continued to feed him.
Just before Fluttershy gave Big Mac the last bite of cake, a soft knock came from the door upstairs. The creamy colored pony’s eyes narrowed into fine slits, and angry look on her face. She sighed suddenly and then turned to Big Mac. “I’ll be right back, dear,” she said gently, and then touched her nose to his again. She quickly disposed of the dress, tossing it carelessly aside, as she made her way up the stairs. She was a bit upset that someone had to come along and interrupt her special time with her lover, and figured they best be taught a lesson. It wasn’t nice to barge in on someone spending time with a loved one.
As soon as she was gone and the door was closed, Big Mac began to struggle with the restraints again, shocked that he couldn’t break them. He knew he had loosened them while Fluttershy was making her awful ‘Angel’ food cake, but he couldn’t seem to get himself free. Distracted by his own thoughts, he didn’t realize that the door had opened again, and he yanked one hoof free at last just as a shape came tumbling down the stairs. Fluttershy pranced down after the body but paused when she saw the freed leg of her stallion and frowned. “Sweetie,” she said in a gentle tone, walking over slowly as the body of the other pony twitched in pain. “I thought you Wanted to spend time with me?” she said slowly, stressing the word ‘want’ as she walked towards him. She picked up a large, metal pipe and held it up to the burning lamp, watching it slowly turn red. She scooped up a hammer from the table and then approached the red stallion. “If you’re going to keep trying to leave me… Well, I’m just going to have to make you stay until you realize how much you love me,” she said and then slammed the hot iron into Big Mac’s leg.
She slammed the hammer into the pole repeatedly, the hallow rod slowly and agonizingly cutting through Big Mac’s flesh until it met one of the barrels on the other side of his leg. The pole slammed into the full barrel of ancient wine and it began to spill out like a faucet and onto the unconscious pony on the floor, staining her pink mane a dark purple, and making an ominous looking pool around the body. The pain in Big Mac’s arm, and the searing burning from the hot rod, caused him to fade in and out until he finally just fell into unconsciousness.
Fluttershy, now no longer distracted by her pesky lover, set to work on the pony who had so rudely interrupted their time together. Although, despite her annoyance, she couldn’t say she was completely unsatisfied with who had shown up on her front door. It didn’t take her much time to tie a rope around the other pony’s legs, holding them opening as she tied the rope around the pole. Fluttershy smiled a bit as she pulled the other Pony’s legs up above her head, leaving her hind legs, belly, and chest exposed to any abuse Fluttershy might think up.
Moments later Big Mac reawakened and blinked the world back into focus. He hadn’t noticed the old bread oven across the room, but now that it was lit, it added more light to room, and showed a bit more of Fluttershy’s ever growing insanity. She leaned over to him while he was distracted and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Did you have a nice nap?” she asked as she rubbed her nose against his. “I hope so because we have a guest. Say hello, darling,” she said as she stepped aside so Big Mac could see who was tied up across from him. He was shocked to see Cheerilee, her mane stained from the wine, and purple splotches decorated her coat from where she had been lying in the alcohol.
“Cheerilee was kind enough to bring by a new outfit for me, since mine was ruined while I was making your cake,” Fluttershy said as she pranced over to Cheerilee who was sobbing quietly, too shocked and confused to say much of anything. “All I have to do is take it off its stand,” Fluttershy said as an evil little grin played on her lips. She walked over to the table where she had been leaving most of her toys and scooped up a shiny new knife with a thin blade. Fluttershy began to hum as she walked back over to Cheerilee and the purple pony began to scream in protest as the knife touched her skin.
Fluttershy ran the knife down from Cheerilee’s collar bone, all the way to her pelvis, then slid the knife under the skin. She delicately began to cut the skin away from the muscle and Cheerilee screamed out in agony as Fluttershy began to skin her alive. The knife slid smoothly under the skin, moving swiftly from point to point, and as it began to loosen, more and more blood poured out onto Fluttershy’s hooves and face. She didn’t mind it as she grabbed the skin and pulled it aside a bit, exposing the raw muscle. Fluttershy observed her work for a moment, the skin from Cheerilee’s stomach all the way up to her neck and then down to her thigh had been most peeled away, but she was losing a lot of blood. “I don’t want you bleeding to death,” she said as she pulled the knife away from the partially removed skin.
Big Mac watched helplessly as Fluttershy produced a red hot, metal rod from the bread oven. She walked back over to Cheerilee and placed it against the raw muscle and seemed to relish in the tormented screams and cries coming from the other pony. She had to jerk the hot iron lose a few times when it got stuck to the muscle, but it slowly sealed the exposed meat shut so Cheerilee wouldn’t bleed to death. Cheerilee was barely conscious as Fluttershy replaced the rod back in the oven, reeking of burnt flesh, and the pretty yellow devil trotted back over to her lover. “Well dear, the whore is barely awake,” she said with a small smile. “I think I better make sure you can’t get away from me,” she said and then reached up and yanked the metal rod from Big Mac’s leg. Where the rod had been there was now a large hole, mostly seared shut. Fluttershy could look straight through the whole and she scooped up some rope from the floor.
Humming her nameless tune again, Fluttershy fed the rope through the hole in Big Mac’s arm and then yanked it tight behind him, wrapping it behind another support beam behind the barrel he was tied to. The stallion choked down his cries of agony as the rope dug into the tender, burnt skin, and his leg was bent in ways it wouldn’t naturally go on its own. Fluttershy, satisfied with Big Mac’s new bindings, picked up the metal rod and tossed it in the bread oven to heat up with the other rod, the chunk of flesh inside the hallow pipe starting to cook and smell rancid. With nothing better to do, Fluttershy scooped up the burning pole and shoved it against Big Mac’s shoulder, watching steam rise from it, and then slammed the hammer into it again until the pole broke through into the barrel, just like before, and wine spill out onto the floor.
The pain was becoming too much for Big Mac and, finally, he passed out again. Fluttershy kissed him gently on the forehead before she pulled away and sighed. “Darling, you really shouldn’t fall asleep every time we spend time together,” she said in a soft, soothing voice, before she back away and went towards the stairs.
Hours later, Big Mac and Cheerilee awoke. “Oh, Big Mac,” the mare began to sob as she stared down at the flat sheet of her skin hanging dangling uselessly from the rest of her body. “Why is she doing this? What happened to Fluttershy?” she begged answers that the red stallion couldn’t give.
“I don’know,” he murmured slowly, unsure of what else he could say. “See, I’ve been jus’playin’ along with her cus’ it seems like if I didn’t, she’d kill me for sure,” he said in what was possibly his longest set of lines, on screen, ever. Cheerilee stared at him, eyes wide, as she realized she was probably going to die in that cellar. “Pretend you’re asleep,” Big Mac said softly as he heard footsteps above their heads. “She’s seems’ta leave you alone while you’re sleepin’.”
The door clicked and Cheerilee closed her eyes tightly at first, inhaled slowly through the mouth, and then let her eyelids relax so it seemed like she was still unconscious. Fluttershy appeared at the bottom of the stairs, pretty and clean as she observed her two captives. “How are you two doing?” she asked in a polite tone. “Awake yet?” she continued, her voice carrying an undertone of impatience. There was no response and Fluttershy frowned a bit, eyes narrowed, and then walked over to the table and picked up the thin bladed knife. “You two seem pretty exhausted,” she murmured. “But it has been a few hours, so you really should be waking up now…”
She walked towards Cheerilee, eyes glimmering despite the darkness, and she produced her knife once again…

With a slight smile, Fluttershy slipped the knife under Cheerilee’s skin again and started to cut it away again, and she glanced up when Cheerilee began to scream wildly. She shrugged a little to herself and then refocused on the skin, cutting away at it slowly and with expert precision. Although she was hoping to reduce blood lose in Cheerilee, the knife was still causing more damage than she wanted, and the blood was pooling around Cheerilee’s legs as the process continued. Fluttershy disappeared upstairs again and then came back with a large, metal tub. She lifted the purple pony’s legs and slipped it under her, allowing the blood to poll in the tub as she started working on the skin again.
As she peeled away section after section of the other pony’s skin, she switched back and forth between the knife and the hot rod, searing the wounds and muscle shut. It was a pain staking process, but she finally reached Cheerilee’s face and grinned as she slid the knife under her lip. “This may hurt… A bit,” Fluttershy whispered and then cut upwards, earning some terrorized screams and curses from the now skinless Cheerilee. She looked disgusting, no longer the beautiful purple pony many knew and loved, she was left with only the mess of muscle and blood, her teeth fully exposed, and she was unable to blink, her eyes wide open and shifting about wildly as the pain made her half delirious. Fluttershy giggled cutely as she laid the skin out on the table and then leaned over to her victim with the hot iron. She seared the remainder of the muscle shut and then walked over to Big Mac. “Isn’t she pretty?” she asked as the Red stallion stared in complete and total shock. He couldn’t speak and he could barely move he was so disgusted by what he had just witnessed.
Fluttershy walked over to the body and bit down hard on burnt muscle, tearing a piece off, and chewing it. She swallowed graciously then went for another bite, and then another. “It’s pretty yummy,” she said as she ripped one more piece off. She pranced over to her lover, smiling, as she offered him a piece of the fried muscle. “Want to try some, my love?” she asked honestly. He shook his head vigorously, a foul taste welling up in the back of his throat as he refrained from hurling, but Fluttershy was very insistent. She leaned forward and forced the meat into his mouth with her tongue, then held a knife to his throat. “Just swallow it honey, I’m sure you’ll love it,” she said with a small, innocent smile. Big Mac forced the meat down, gagging, and then closed his eyes tightly, trying to pretend he was eating the rabbit instead.
“Don’t worry darling, I’ll cook up some fresh for you so it tastes wonderful,” Fluttershy decided as she scooped up the skin and then took the knife and cut off a large chunk of Cheerilee’s leg, making sure to scorch the wound closed before leaving. She practically danced up the stairs then slammed the door shut behind her, her song playing like a horror movie theme in Big Mac’s head.
Several hours rolled by before Fluttershy made another appearance and she stepped down into the light wearing a new outfit and carrying a shiny plate. She had fashioned Cheerilee’s skin into a full body suit, fitting it over her body in a sickeningly close fit kind of way. “I hope you like my new outfit,” she said as she walked across the floor, smiling from under the eyeless hood of Cheerilee’s skin. “It took long time to get it all stitched up,” she said as she stretched and posed, smiling a bit as the skin wrapped tightly around her thin body. “Oh, and I didn’t forget to make you your supper,” she said as she held the plate of cooked meat out in front of Big Mac. “I cooked it after I finished my outfit, so it would be fresh and hot for you.”
The idea of eating Pony meat, let alone Cheerilee’s, made Big Mac nearly hurl. He couldn’t handle it and quickly shook his head. “I’m not hungry… Dear,” he said painfully.
Fluttershy frowned. “But you’ve hardly eaten anything, sweetie,” she murmured sadly then sighed. She set the plate down on the chair where she had placed the cake earlier that day. “Well, honey, if you won’t eat your meal, then I’ll just have to feed it to you,” she said then scooped up the blood stained knife. She sliced off a chunk of the feet then held it out for Big Mac to eat, but he held his head away, eyes closed tightly, as he tried to think of anything but the slab of meat dangling in front of his face. “Dear, if you won’t open your mouth,” Fluttershy’s voice trailed off, feeling the slight sting of a fresh blade against the corner of his mouth. “I’ll just have to open it for you.”
The shiny knife cut smoothly through Big Mac’s skin and Fluttershy gently kissed him as the knife sailed under his lower lip. She caught the lip and set it on the plate, next to the fried up chunk of Cheerilee’s body. With surprising force, Fluttershy grabbed Big Mac by his mane and held him firmly in place, and slid the knife into his upper lip. She hacked away at it violently, seeming to enjoy the blood and spit that splattered onto her face as her victim jerked. Fluttershy threw the knife aside, an insane look glimmering in her eyes, and she leaned forward and kissed Big Mac’s mutilated mouth. With a small, unexpected growl, Fluttershy bit down on the partically severed lip, and then ripped it off with her teeth. “This is how you should kiss me,” she said as she cast the uselessly chunk of skin aside. “Now let’s finish your dinner dear,” she said a bit more aggressively.
Fluttershy scooped up the cut up piece of meat and then held it to Big Mac’s disfigured face. “Now, take a bite dear,” she said in a soft, loving tone. “Or do I have to knock out all those pretty teeth too?”
Hesitantly, Big Mac opened his mouth. He flinched back, teeth snapping shut, as the pain rippled through his skin and all the way down his spine. He saw Fluttershy’s eye twitch and inhaled through his nose, opening his mouth a bit more carefully. He felt the meat touch his tongue and instantly he felt the nausea set in. He closed his mouth around the chunk of flesh, gagged, and considered just swallowing it whole, but Fluttershy wouldn’t have it. “Chew, dear,” she said gently as the stallion’s eyes fixed on her. Out of fear, he did as he was told, barely able to move his jaw because of the pain, but the idea of what the pink maned nightmare would do to him scared him enough to work through the pain.
Fluttershy leaned in suddenly and placed her lips against what remained of Big Mac’s face. She began kissing him, sliding her tongue between his teeth and under the piece of meat. She pulled it into her mouth as she kissed him and started to chew up chunks of it, then pushed the mashed up pieces down her lover’s throat. He gagged a bit as the pieces slid down with all the saliva and blood, but he forced it down with surprising gusto. It was sickening though, non the less, as Fluttershy greedily licked at the blood oozing from Big Mac’s wounds.
She slurped it up, took it down her own throat, and mixed it with the chunks of meat Big Mac had chewed. She seemed to be completely lost in the taste, her eyes rolling back in pleasure it made its way down her throat. Big Mac gagged on the image and finally he couldn’t handle the taste or the images that accompanied any of it anymore. He dry heaved for a moment as Fluttershy pulled away, his stomach tightening around the partially chewed chunks of meat, and then hurled violently.
The rancid mixture splatted across Fluttershy face and neck, painting her a sickening brownish red, but she barely seemed to notice. She started at Big Mac for a moment then began to smear the vomit onto her hooves. She lapped the vile up enthusiastically, taking it in, and smearing it across her face and chest. Fluttershy gagged a bit then kissed Big Mac again, forcing her tongue down his throat, and then hurled back into his mouth. The red stallion heaved, eyes snapping shut as the mixture burned his throat, and he forced it back into the mare’s mouth.
She pushed against him, pressing her body against him as she pushed the vile mixture back with just has much force as Big Mac has managed. The battle for dominance of the other’s mouth went on ‘til neither one had anything left to give, and finally Fluttershy pulled away, breathing hard. Her eyes were glazed over and she seemed intoxicated as she leaned back, using the mutilated body of Cheerilee for support. “Wasn’t that just lovely, sweetie?” she panted softly then licked some of the vomit off of her face, letting her tongue slide around her mouth. “I hope we have more moments like that,” she murmured. “Just like this…”
Big Mac heaved at the thought, but thankfully had nothing in his stomach to hack up. It was a sickening thought, ingesting another pony’s vomit, and worse yet to think of it as romantic.
Fluttershy pulled off Cheerilee’s skin then wiped her face off on the foul smelling coat. “Well,” she said as she cast it aside like a rag. “Since your stomach is empty, you should really finish your meal,” she said as she pranced over and scooped up the remainder of the meat. “Would you like any help, dearest?”
Big Mac shook his head, left to right, vigorously. The idea of swapping stomach fluids with Fluttershy again was terrifying. “No no,” he murmured through his shredded mouth. He watched her face change, a sharp look in her eyes, and he realized he had spoken to soon. “I don’t wan’ta trouble ya anymore,” he offered slowly, trying to derail her anger before it set in on him. “I can finish it myself,” he continued, trying to ignore the pain moving his mouth caused him. She watched him for a moment, a dark cloud of suspicion hanging above her, but she pushed the meat in front of him and watched from a distance as he slowly chewed apart the chunk of meat.
A small, satisfied smile slid across her face as she watched him eat Cheerilee’s muscle. “I knew you loved my cooking,” she whispered triumphantly.
There was a soft groan on the other side of the room and Fluttershy’s head snapped sharply in Cheerilee’s direction. A wide grin broke out onto her face as she saw the other pony’s eyes twitch. “Oh!” she gasped. “You’re finally up!” Fluttershy said gleefully and then pranced over to what was left of the once pretty mare. “Now we can have some more fun!”
An awful sound started to fill the room again. Fluttershy’s humming, dancing about in Big Mac’s ears as she poked the fire in the bread oven. She looked so innocent, gently bobbing her head back and forth to the rhythm of the nameless tune, and that was what made her so terrifying. Big Mac heard a groan and looked up as Cheerilee started to move. She twitched a bit, her mouth moving a bit, and then she roared. “Monster!” she screamed through her teeth, her head jerking back and forth wildly. “Monster, monster, monster!” she hissed, the seared wounds ripping open as she fought violently against the restraints.
Blood began to ooze from where the ropes dug into her flesh, dying them a dark red, and Big Mac was surprised to see them actually start to budge. Cheerilee squealed suddenly, a sharp, unearthly sound coming from her throat, and Fluttershy stared at her with fierce eyes. “He wanted me,” the skinless pony hissed through her teeth, her eyes vibrant in the pale light, and there was a wildness there that Big Mac had never seen on anypony’s face before. Cheerilee’s eyes fixed on Fluttershy and she snapped her teeth shut. “He wanted me!” she squealed hysterically, slamming her head into the beam she was bound to.
Fluttershy walked up to her slowly, eyes wide, and she looked as if she might rip Cheerilee’s throat out, but when she got close the other pony seemed to find new strength. In a swift, agonizing movement, Cheerilee ripped one of her hooves free and slammed it across Fluttershy’s face, ripping her own burnt skin wide open. The blood splattered across the yellow mare’s face and hit the floor, finding its way to the purple stain where the wine had long since dried. Cheerilee screamed again, ripping at the ropes violently, as she tried to break free and attack the pony who had ruined her.
Fluttershy wiped her face, smearing the blood from her lip to her cheek. She walked slowly towards the bread oven and stood there for a moment, seeming to completely ignore the insane raving of Cheerilee. She stared into the fire, its light cast strange shadows across her face, and the dark shapes flickered about behind her like demons. Softly, her humming began again as she reached forward into the oven and scooped up one of the irons. “Cheerilee,” she said calmly as she turned slowly, staring at her rival. “Since you don’t know how to keep yourself away from another pony’s stallion, I’ll just have to make sure you can’t ever use your whore hole again,” she said in a soft, sad tone.
This infuriated Cheerilee even more, and she jerked wildly against the ropes, tearing some of them loose. She swung at Fluttershy again, screaming, but the yellow mare seemed undisturbed. In a sudden, sharp movement, Fluttershy slammed a hot iron straight through Cheerilee’s shoulder, pinning her arm to the support beam. She screamed in agony, slamming her head into the beam until blood began to spurt from the wound, and she began raving again. “He’s mine, he’s mine!” she ranted over and over, quickly becoming more delirious.
Fluttershy grabbed another hot rod and slammed it into Cheerilee’s vagina. There was an unearthly sound that came from Cheerilee’s throat as steam began to rise from her lower regions, and Fluttershy seemed to be basking in the cloud. With vigor, she yanked the rod back out, slammed it back in, and watched as chunks of inner flesh came ripping back out, stuck to the heated surface. She ripped the rod back out and then grabbed another, hotter one, and shoved it in further, harder, and with a wider smile. She pulled back once more then shoved the rod in full force, putting her whole body behind it, and glanced down to see that Cheerilee’s ‘whore hole’ was nothing but a burnt, mutilated mess of blood and charred flesh.
She nodded once to herself, glancing up to see if Cheerilee was still conscious. Her eyes were dazed, saliva and blood oozing from her mouth as she stared down at Fluttershy. There wasn’t much left of the once lustrous pony, just a heap of burnt meat really, and Fluttershy wondered if she should just kill the other pony. She shrugged and then tried to yank the rod back out, but was meant with resistance. She fought with it, yanking on the metal rod, but it was fused with Cheerilee’s innards, and the more Fluttershy pulled, the more blood and tearing she caused.
She let out a childish, irritated huff of disappointment as she let go of the rod. “It’s really stuck,” she murmured slowly, seeming to seriously consider this a problem. “I’ll have to use the crank to get it back,” she said mostly to herself and then took off into a darker section of the cellar, a part that Big Mac could barely see even with the added light from the bread oven. He heard something fall, some glass break, and then Fluttershy mutter about ‘the whore’, but he couldn’t see what she was doing.
Several moments later she reappeared with an ancient looking crank. She hooked it up to the rod shoved inside of Cheerilee and nodded to herself. “This should do the trick,” she said curtly and then looked up at the destroyed face of Cheerilee. “This may hurt, a bit, but no hard feelings right?” she asked with a smile then started to start working with the crank. There was the sound of metal scraping against metal as the ancient device began to grind its gears. It clicked a few times as Fluttershy manned the wheel, watching as the rod started to twitch inside Cheerilee’s body.
There was a strange sound after a few more moments, an odd ripping sound, and Fluttershy watched as the crank ripped through the closed hole. The foul stench of feces filled the room as Fluttershy yanked on the rod once, testing it, and she saw a hint of what looks like Cheerilee’s intestines. She paused for a moment, eyeing the wound. “I must have gone deeper than I thought,” she said with a concerned undertone in her voice. “I suppose there’s nothing I can do about it now, though,” she said and then shrugged. She started working the crank again and watched as the rod ripped out chunks of Cheerilee’s innards.
Nothing was in one whole part and it all seemed to be inside out. Fluttershy could make out the shredded bits of the other pony’s womb, and watched as the walls around it ripped apart as she continued cranking, pulling out foul smelling chunks of Cheerilee’s organs. Suddenly, Cheerilee’s body lost whatever was left of its fluids and a nasty mixture of blood and shit came pouring out of the mare’s anus, piss drizzling out of random points of Cheerilee’s destroyed section. It all mixed into the tub of blood still sitting under her and Fluttershy watched as the once clean, ruby red blood, turned a sickish brown color and adopted a whole new, horrible stench.
Big Mac watched in horror as Fluttershy dipped her mouth into the mixture, lapping some of it up, and swallowing it. She ran her tongue up Cheerilee’s leg, lapping up blood as she went, and then bit down and tore some of the burnt skin off. She chewed it up and swallowed it as she found her shredded organs. She took them in her hooves for a moment, staring at them, and then took a bite out of what looked like a piece of the large intestine. She sucked on it, pulling in pieces of partially digested food and blood, and then bit down on the meat. She ripped off bit after bit, seeming to savor the vile flavor, and then gagged a little. She threw the organs aside and then scooped up the knife that she had skinned Cheerilee with. She slammed the knife into the other pony’s chest a few times, cutting into it, and started to cut into a pattern.
She dug out the muscle and broke through the chest cavity with the tail end of the knife, smashing bone and cartilage that got in her way. Finally, she found what she was looking for, and reached inside Cheerilee’s excavated chest to pull out her heart. It was still attached, for the most part, and had a soft, barely noticeable beat as it sat in Fluttershy’s hooves. She knew Cheerilee was about to die, but she decided she would savor the last moments of her life as she bit down on the heart. She ripped off a huge chunk, blood oozing out and onto her hooves and legs as she worked on her meal. She bit into it again, sucking out the blood and any other fluids that met her lips and then pulled away, taking a breath. “Would you like some, dear?” Fluttershy whispered through the blood.
Big Mac shook his head slowly, his eyes transfixed on the scene of carnage before him, and he felt his stomach churning, but he kept down the contents for fear of being forced to consume the heart. Fluttershy shrugged then downed the rest of the heart, swallowing chunks of it whole, and looked back at Cheerilee’s corpse. Its eyes were wide open and wild, its mouth hanging slightly ajar, and blood oozed from the corpse’s nostrils and mouth. Fluttershy stared at it for a moment before she crouched down to the destroyed lower regions. She pushed a hoof inside the mess and then her other, ripping the whole wide open. She peered inside the cavity then dipped inside, lapping up blood and feces from the body.
When she came out again, her face was drenched in a disgusting mixture of blood, burnt chunks of flesh, and feces. “It’s still warm!” she exclaimed excitedly and then licked some of the nastiness off her face. She leaned down again and took a mouthful of organs. She backed away from the body then walked over to Big Mac, seeming oblivious to the look of terror on the Stallion’s face. She pushed herself onto him and kissed him roughly, chunks of organs, shit, and saliva oozing out of her mouth as Big Mac tried desperately to keep the stuff out of his own.
The only thing Big Mac could do was lay there and accept the kiss, gagging on the taste of iron and shit.

Fluttershy stepped out of her shower and yanked a towel from the rake. She toweled dried herself a bit, humming again, and smiled a little to herself as she cast the towel aside. She had rinsed her body clean of the blood and feces, feeling cleaner and ready to continue her afternoon with Big Mac.
Not much caring about her damp coat, she trotted out of the bathroom, excited to get back to her lover, but then she heard a knock at the door. There was a moment when she considered ignoring it and just going back down stairs, but she decided that maybe she should answer the door to avoid arousing suspicion. With that in mind, Fluttershy walked over to the door and pulled it open without a second thought.
Rainbowdash stood in the Doorway, her hoof raised as if she were about to knock again, but she steadied herself and smiled when she saw Fluttershy. “Hey there,” she said with a grin.
“Oh, hello Dash,” Fluttershy said with a smile, not noticing the odd look on Raindbowdash’s face. “Come in, please. What brings you over so late in the afternoon?” she asked as she closed and locked the door behind the blue pony.
Rainbowdash shrugged. “Well, you and I rarely hang together,” she said, trying to shake the odd feeling she had. “So I figured I’d fly by and see if you wanted to spend some time together,” Rainbowdash offered. Despite her efforts, she couldn’t shake the feeling she had in her gut. Fluttershy had never called her ‘Dash’ before, and the way she said it… But she was probably just over reacting, she decided, because two ponies had disappeared over the week.
Big Mac and Cheerilee.
“Well, I was working on a project,” Fluttershy started but then smiled gently at Rainbowdash. “But I suppose I could take a break. Let me go finish drying off,” she said and the blue pony nodded. With that, Fluttershy disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Rainbowdash sat on the couch for a few moments, wondering what seemed different about her friend, but then she noticed it; the smell.
It was coming up through the floorboards, a rancid smell that made her stomach churn. It wasn’t powerful enough to be noticed from the front door, but now that she was in the house, she could smell it coming from directly beneath her. She jumped from the sofa, thinking that maybe one of the little animals had crawled under there and died. She noticed that the couch was further from the wall then she remembered and quickly peered behind it, seeing a door just big enough for a pony to fit through.
She felt an awful feeling in her gut as she moved aside the unlatched lock. She glanced over her shoulder, seeing the bathroom door was still closed, and then lifted the door open quietly. Slowly, she descended into the darkness, trying her best to ignore the stench that burned her nostrils. Rainbow gagged as she felt around for a light switch.
Finally, the light flickered to life and Rainbow gasped. She nearly screamed at the sight of the burnt up body, but she didn’t realize who it was, or who it used to be. She heard a weak groan and turned sharply, seeing Big Mac. She ran to him, shocked to see him in such a state. “Big Mac!” she whispered, unable to raise her voice any higher.
“Rainbow?” he murmured in a daze, eyes opening slowly as he tried to focus on her. He suddenly realized what was happening and he snapped back to reality. “Rainbow, you hav’ta get help,” Big Mac said quickly. “Fluttershy’s lost it, get help,” he continued but stopped, hearing a familiar sound. He looked back and froze for a moment. “Rainbow, look out!” he gasped frantically as Fluttershy appeared behind the colorful mare.
Fluttershy slammed Rainbowdash in the back of the head with a metal pipe, effectively knocking her out. “You know,” she murmured. “It’s very rude to snoop,” Fluttershy said as she cast the pipe aside. She walked over to Cheerilee’s corpse and cut the ropes then yanked her loose. She kicked the corpse off to the side, over by the bread oven, and huffed in annoyance. She stomped her hoof as she pushed the tub of blood and shit aside, saving it for later.
“Fluttershy,” Big Mac murmured as he watched the yellow pony hang Rainbowdash from the post like she’d done to Cheerilee the night before. He slammed his head against the barrel, gnashing his teeth. “Damnit Fluttershy, why’re you doing this?” he demanded, a rippling anger swelling inside of him as Fluttershy finished restraining Rainbowdash.
She turned on him, eyes narrowed. “I’m doing this for us!” she screamed. He was surprised when tears began to well up in her eyes and she sniffled pathetically. “I tried so hard,” she sobbed as she collapsed onto the floor, her face buried into her hooves. “But you wanted Cheerilee, you wanted her,” she cried then came up again, eyes blurry with tears. “What’s wrong with me?” she asked. “Why don’t you love me? Why aren’t I good enough?”
Big Mac opened his mouth, about to say something, but no words came to him. He was stuck on that face, the tears streaming from her eyes, and he realized that he was the cause for the madness that was coming over Ponyville. He closed his mouth again, his righteous ranting seeming useless to him now.
Fluttershy stared at him for a few moments, expecting something, but when he didn’t say anything she whimpered. She walked over to him slowly, like a kicked puppy, and placed her head against his chest, leaning herself against him. He figured her against him would make his skin crawl, but he felt nothing of the sort. Big Mac simply felt numb, incapable of pushing away his little psycho. It was his fault, after all and he had dragged Cheerilee and Rainbowdash into it as well.
Fluttershy’s eyes opened when she felt Big Mac rest his chin on top of her head, his breathing swallow and even. She didn’t move, afraid to disturb her moment with him, and closed her eyes with a tiny smile playing across her lips. Finally, she had her perfect moment with the love of her life, and she wished that they could stay like that forever.
Twilight was right. All she had to do was put her hoof down.
There was a soft groan from the opposite side of the room and Fluttershy opened her eyes, glancing over her shoulder as Rainbowdash began to come to. She sighed a little to herself then pecked Big Mac on the cheek before she walked over to Rainbowdash, not noticing the look on Big Mac’s face. “Welcome back Dashy,” she said with a little lilt in her voice, obviously a bit upset that other pony had woken so soon.
Rainbowdash looked about frantically for a moment then began to flap her wings hysterically, jerking left and right, and trying to fight with the ropes that held her. Fluttershy giggled a little as she watched Rainbowdash began screaming for help, knowing no one could hear her. “Now now,” she said softly. “You can’t think you’ll get away like that,” Fluttershy continued as she walked over to the table where her toys were spread out.
“What the hell has gotten into you, Fluttershy!?” Rainbowdash hollered as she stared down at her friend.
“Nothing really,” the yellow mare said simply. “I’ve just found a new hobby,” she offered then smiled cutely at her friend. “Now, how would you like me to remove those pesky wings of yours?” Fluttershy gestured as she spoke, her hoof resting on the table’s surface. “Pick anything you’d like, unless you’d like me to use this,” she said as she picked up the rod she’d used to burn and rape Cheerilee, chunks of her flesh still stuck to it.
Rainbowdash stared at her for a moment, not realizing what she meant at first, then slowly began to put the whole thing together. “You want me… To choose… How you remove my wings?” Rainbowdash questioned slowly, her brain trying to analyze and break down the information she was receiving. “Are you insane!?” she screamed harshly and Fluttershy flinched back.
“Goodness,” the creamy color pony murmured. “You really shouldn’t scream so loud, someone might hear that annoying voice of yours,” she muttered in annoyance then sighed. “But it can’t be helped… Fine, take all the fun out of it,” Fluttershy huffed then closed her eyes. “I’ll just pick myself,” she said as she moved her hoof back and forth over the tools sitting on the table. She scooped one up suddenly and then opened her eyes, staring at it for a moment, before an extremely unpleasant smile started crawl onto her face. “Well, this should be very interesting,” Fluttershy said with a joyful little squeak.
Fluttershy pushed her hoof against one of Rainbowdash’s wings, effectively stopping it from moving, and then slammed the hammer into the other pegasus’ wing. Fluttershy glanced up from her tea, her interest perked. “What for?” she questioned.

“Oh dear,” Fluttershy responded as she set her tea down. “I hope everything is alright,” she said slowly, staring at the pony in her teacup with wide, unblinking eyes. “Rarity?” she asked suddenly, surprising the other pony. “Would you like me to teach you how to make the special ingredient I used in our tea?”
“Of course, dear!” Rarity replied, sensing some of Fluttershy’s depression on the subject of Big Mac. “I’ll stock pile the stuff for my own tea,” she said with a little wink and the two ponies exchanged a soft, light hearted laugh as Fluttershy led Rarity towards the basement door. The yellow mare pulled open the hatch and Rarity inhaled sharply, gasping a bit as the stench overtook her. “It certainly smells foul in the early stages, doesn’t it?” she questioned as Fluttershy descended the staircase.
“It does, but it’s well worth it,” Fluttershy said. “And it’s so easy to make,” she continued as Rarity carefully walked into the darkness. “Watch your step, Rarity!” she heard her friend call from the darkness. “Rainbowdash was here earlier, helping me, and I haven’t gotten a chance to clean up yet.”
“I’ll be careful,” Rarity said as she finally reached the bottom of the stairs. She looked up, the light from the bread oven revealing everything, and she gasped as she stared at the destroyed body of Rainbowdash. She turned sharply when she heard the loose floorboards creek, her eyes catching site of the business end of a shovel.
Conscious, but dazed, Rarity fought weakly against Fluttershy as she dragged her towards a barrel in the room. She pushed the white pony against it then commenced wrapping her in rope, yanking them tight as Rarity tilted her head to and foe, her mind still shaken from the blow she’d received. A patch above her eye had split from the impact, blood oozing down into her face, and leaving a red trail that stained her pale coat.
“That horn of yours is going to be a real problem, what with your magic and all,” Fluttershy murmured as she put her hoof under Rarity’s chin, turning her head back and forth so she could examine her latest victim a bit more closely. Fluttershy stared at her long and hard before she got an idea. “I’ll just have to remove it. Yeah, that will solve everything.”
She went over to the table and looked for her tools, then remembered that she’d thrown them on the floor earlier that day. She grumbled a bit as she picked them up, tossing them carelessly onto the table again. “Here it is!” she cheered as she held up the hacksaw she had used to cut off Cheerilee’s leg. The blade still had dried blood on it, crusty and slowly turning brown, and had a foul smell emitting from it. Fluttershy practically danced towards Rarity and then slammed her hoof into the other pony’s head, holding her still as she placed the saw against the horn.
Rarity twitched as the saw dug into the horn and then, waking from her stupor, began to scream and jerk violently. “No!” she screamed as she tried to fight against Fluttershy’s hoof, shocked by the gentle mare’s strength. “No, not that!” she screamed frantically as tears began to well up in her eyes.
Fluttershy pulled the saw away for a moment, poking it gingerly, and causing Rarity to cry out in pain. “Well, half gone,” Fluttershy murmured as she examined the cut. “Now you can’t use that pesky magic.”
Rarity murmured under her breath, her rambling incoherent, and Fluttershy simply ignored her prattling. “Now that your magic is taken care of, let’s make some use of that horn, shall we?” Fluttershy asked teasingly, a twisted little smile on her face as she pranced around the barrel. She climbed on top of it then steadied her hind quarters just above Rarity’s head. She slid herself over the horn slowly, her body moving up and down as she fucked Rarity’s ruined horn. The white pony twitched and shook in pain, the nerves inside the horn still fully functional as Fluttershy bounced on top of it.
Fluttershy moaned loudly, her body shaking as she came closer and closer to her limit. “Oh, so wonderful,” she murmured softly as she continued, ignoring Rarity’s cries of pain and protest. Then, suddenly, Fluttershy came and pulled herself off quickly, allowing blood and juice to pour out onto Rarity face, causing her to gag and jerk from the stuff getting into her eyes and nose. Fluttershy relieved herself suddenly, causing Rarity to dry heave as urine poured out over her face.
Fluttershy stretched herself out, laying half way off the barrel, and then sighed softly. “That… was wonderful,” she murmured then glanced up, looking between her legs to see the back of Rarity’s head. She brought one hoof up and pushed it against the horn gently, Rarity twitching with pain as Fluttershy moved the horn around with her back leg. “Well, this has certainly served its purpose,” Fluttershy said then sat up. “Let’s get this out of the way now, shall we?” she asked then slammed her hoof into the horn.
Rarity screamed loudly as a harsh snapping sound filled her ears. She shook, tears welling up in her saucer sized eyes, as she watched her horn tear off and fall to the floor. “My… My horn,” she murmured slowly, streams of tears now running down her cheeks. “You took… You took my lovely horn,” her eye twitched a bit as she said this, but she didn’t blink. She simply stared up at where her horn used to be, her eyes slightly crossed. “My horn… Oh, my beautiful horn… My… My… Horn,” she prattled on softly, no longer of this world.
Fluttershy ignored her friend’s rambling as she walked over to a toolbox by the oven. She dug around inside, throwing out random knickknacks and accessories of her new trade as she searched for the perfect item. “Well, Rarity. Now that your horn is out of the way, we can start your makeover,” she said as she held up a large file. “Because everypony needs to look their best,” she said with a devious little smile.
She pushed her faithful chair towards Rarity, a small bowl placed on the seat, and she then grabbed Rarity’s hoof. “Let’s start with a pedicure,” she said as she placed the file against the pearly white hoof. She began to hum again as she started filing away at the hoof, powder and random chunks of it slowly being torn away as Fluttershy worked at the outer layer. It didn’t take long for her to reach the sensitive skin beneath, cutting into it and ripping the last few shreds of hoof away.
With a twisted little laugh, Fluttershy continued filing away at the hoof until there was no hoof left at all, and the flesh began to tear apart underneath the piece of metal. Blood began to ooze from the shredded skin, coating the file in a pulpish mixture of filed off hoof and blood, which Fluttershy scrapped off into the bowl of clippings. “One down,” Fluttershy said cheerily as she placed the file against another hoof.
Rarity twitched a bit, tears still streaming down her face, and she barely moved. “My horn… My beautiful horn,” she murmured slowly, her head bouncing back and forth as drool began to escape her lips. “Not my horn… Oh… Oh my horn,” she prattled on, earning a strange look from Fluttershy as she continued working on the hoof.
She glanced back at Big Mac, holding her hoof to the side of her face so Rarity couldn’t see her lips. “Some ponies are just crazy I guess, huh?” she asked and Big Mac stared at her, unsure if he should nod or hurl. With a happy little smile, Fluttershy began working on Rarity’s last remaining hoof. “There, finally done,” she said as she observed the bloody stumps that were once Rarity’s hooves.
Fluttershy picked up the bowl of hoof shavings and blood and began smashing them together with the file. She stirred it with a smile then skipped over to the bread oven, scooping up the ashes from the front of the stove and pouring them into the bowl, turning it into an odd brownish color. “There we are,” she said happily as she dug around in the tool box again, finding an inch wide paint brush.
She paused as she stepped in front of Rarity, noticing for the first time that she was completely out of it. “Rarity?” she asked. “Rarity, are you still in there?” Fluttershy asked as she waved her hoof in front of the white mare’s face. She frowned a bit then shrugged. “Oh well, it’s time for some makeup,” she said and then dipped the paintbrush in the bloody ash and hoof mixture. She began smearing the blood across Rarity’s face, painting it above her eyes and smearing it across her cheeks. “That looks so great, doesn’t it dear?”
“Yeah…” Big Mac murmured, gagging a bit as he glanced away.
“Now, let’s finish your hooves up,” Fluttershy said as she pushed the bloody makeup aside. She dug out a can of spray paint, clear coat, and she shook it up. She tossed the can unto the table then pulled out a bucket with a lid, the side of it saying something about the contents being dangerous and flammable. Fluttershy popped open the can and then grabbed Rarity’s leg then, with a giggle, shoved the hoof into the bucket.
There was a few moments where steam began to rise from the appendage, then the shredded skin began to boil, the flesh melting away, and bubbling up with a rank smelling gas. Fluttershy giggled a little as she dipped the rest of the limbs, melting them down to destroyed nubs. After finishing them all off, she grabbed the can of spray paint and sprayed each limb down with the clear coat. “There, a base coat!” Fluttershy said as she finished spraying the stumps, the smell of spray paint filling the room.
“While that dries,” Fluttershy said, trialing off as she grabbed the tub filled with Cheerilee’s blood. “I can do your hair with this,” she said and then giggled. She walked up to Rarity and set the tub down next to her. She grabbed an empty can from the floor and scooped up some of the gore. With a look of pure focus, she grabbed Rarity’s hair and dumped the blood over it. She hummed again as she began rubbing it in, making thick knots in the mare’s mane as she worked the blood into the dark, violent strands.
Slowly, she worked the red into the violent, tangling the hair into a matted mess as she covered Rarity’s head in it, turning her mane into a dark reddish black. “Now don’t you just look wonderful!” Fluttershy laugheded as she said this, testing the weight of the hair against her hoof. “All that’s left now is to paint your hooves and style your hair, right Rarity?” she asked, but the white pony simply continued on about her horn.
Fluttershy grabbed the ashy, blood mixture again and began smearing it across the clear coated nubs, humming all the while. The stumps at the end of Rarity’s legs looked a little like chewed up bits of gum, slathered in some nasty, red sauce, but the fun wasn’t over yet. Fluttershy pranced over to Rainbowdash’s body, scooping up a knife from the table as she passed, then cut the dead pony’s tail off.
She laid the tail out then began braiding it together, pulling it tight as she worked her way to the end. Finally, she tore off some of Rainbowdash’s skin and cut it into two strips, wrapping both pieces around either end of the braided tail. As she hummed, she grabbed one of the hot irons from the stove and melted the skin around the ends to keep the tail together. “There, perfect,” she said with a cute smile as she tossed the iron back into the stove. She had created a colorful, foul smelling rope, professionally braided into a thin line.
She went back over to Rarity and then began pulling harshly at the matted mess, the dried blood crackling and dropping a dark dusty substance onto Fluttershy’s hooves as she worked with the hair. She pulled it back and wrapped the rope around it, tying it into a bow, and then began teasing the mess of hair; giving it some more body and making it look like some kind of afro hanging out behind Rarity’s head. “I think that should do it,” Fluttershy murmured as she walked around Rarity, observing her handiwork.
“Now… I think I’ll give you a wax treatment and call it a night,” she said simply and then pranced over to the toolbox again, digging around until she produced a dark colored bottle of industrial glue. “I guess this should do the trick,” she murmured uncertainly but then shrugged as she went over to Rarity. She ripped the top off the glue with her teeth then began pouring it out onto Rarity’s hind leg. With a satisfied nod, Fluttershy grabbed the shovel she backhanded Rarity with earlier and placed it over the glue.
After a few minutes, she yanked the shovel away with a grin, watching the hair and skin get ripped up with it. Rarity twitched, her leg bleeding mildly as Fluttershy poked the wound. “Oh… Oh… My horn,” she murmured again, tears starting to stream down her face again. “How could you take my horn?” she asked as she stared off into space, her eyes unblinking and delusional.
Finally fed up with the rambling of the delirious pony, Fluttershy slapped Rarity in the face, a look of fury in her own blue eyes. “What’s wrong with you Rarity!?” Fluttershy demanded harshly despite her tiny voice. “You should be ecstatic with your new look, but you just keep going on and on about your stupid horn!” Fluttershy said frantically and then, without warning, began to cry. “Oh, I tried so hard to make you look pretty, but you just don’t care at all Rarity!” she sobbed uselessly, Rarity still staring off into space.
Fluttershy looked up at her friend, glaring through her huge crocodile tears. “Well, if I was a unicorn and I lost my horn, I know I wouldn’t miss it that much!” she said in a fit of rage and then stormed over to the stove, grabbing a flaming hot rod from the fire. “And you didn’t even say thank you for all the hard work I did!” she said as tears continued to well up in her pretty blue eyes. “Well… If you don’t want to forget about your horn, I’ll just have to make you forget,” she said as she picked up her trusty hammer in her free hoof.
She slammed the hot iron into what was left of Rarity’s horn, earning a startled scream from the white mare. “No!” she cried out. “Not my horn! Please, don’t take my horn away!” she sobbed frantically as Fluttershy raised the hammer up above the red hot piece of metal. “Not my… beautiful horn…” she murmured a bit more slowly, her eye twitching again.
Fluttershy slammed the hammer into the rod several times, earning a few twisted cries from Rarity, most of which pertaining to the loss of her horn. The yellow pony cracked through her friend’s skull at last and grinned, grabbing hold of the cool end of the rod as it began to dig into Rarity’s frontal lobe. “This will help you forget that stupid horn,” Fluttershy said as she shoved the rod further into Rarity’s brain, jerking it about inside her skull until Rarity’s screaming stopped.
Fluttershy, satisfied, jerked the rod out and cast it aside, staring at Rarity’s blank expression. “There, now don’t you feel better?” she asked as she patted Rarity’s cheek, the white mare drooling as she stared off into space. “Thought so,” she said confidently, her head bobbing once as she nodded.
Rarity’s brain was destroyed beyond any normal pony’s capability to repair, her mind turned to mush after Fluttershy destroyed the logic center of her brain. Her head fell forward, drool oozing out of her mouth as she stared at the floor, her eyes unfocused and cloudy as blood oozed down from her forehead. Fluttershy pushed Rarity up, setting her straight, and smiled at her. “Now, don’t you look pretty!” Fluttershy complimented, fixing a few strands of Rarity’s hair, and then placing large pair sunglasses on her face. “I bet everypony in Ponyville would be jealous of you,” she said and then giggled. “What do you think, Rarity?” she asked, grinning.
Big Mac slammed his head into his own barrel, an agitated cry escaping him, and startling Fluttershy. “She won’t talk to you!” he screamed at her, gnashing his teeth in anger. “You destroyed her mind! There’s nothing left in there anymore!”
Fluttershy stared at him, eyes wide. “Sweetie,” she said softly, her voice cracking. “You… Shouldn’t raise your voice… to your loving wife,” she said slowly, her eyes still wide as she walked towards him, scooping up the knife she’d used to cut off Rainbowdash’s tail.
Big Mac leaned back, his fear slowly ebbing into obscurity. “I wouldn’t yell if you’d stop killing everypony who came to your door,” he growled slowly, anger rising up inside of him. “Go ahead, cut me up like all your friends!” he screamed at her, startling the gentle little maniac. “I’m going to die down here anyway, why wait any longer?”
Fluttershy dropped the knife to the floor, her eyes filling up with tears. “But… Big Mac,” she said softly. “I don’t want to kill you… I love you,” she said gently then walked towards him a bit more slowly, lips quivering a bit as she spoke. “I was just having fun with you,” she said in a shaky voice, her tears spilling over and running down her cheeks.
“Fun?” Big Mac asked then slammed his head into the barrel again. “You did all this for fun!?” he hollered at her. “Cutting off my lips, my pride, that was all for kicks!? Is that what you’re saying?” he snapped at her, his voice rising as his anger finally boiled over.
Fluttershy broke down, placing her face in her hooves as she began to sob. “I’m sorry, honey! I didn’t want to hurt you!” she said in a small, pathetic voice. “But… But you hurt me… You had to be punished,” she said sadly then turned away, crying as she ran towards the stairs. “Why can’t you understand!?” she screamed as she disappeared, the cellar door slamming sharply behind her.
Big Mac winced at the sound, his head throbbing from the excretion of yelling, and he glanced up. For some reason, he almost felt bad for making Fluttershy cry but, as he glanced at the destroyed bodies of Cheerilee and Rainbowdash, and then looked to the drooling, funky fresh Rarity, he wondered if he was losing his mind too.
He closed his eyes then, desperately trying not to think about his company, and what Fluttershy might do to him when she returned.

Fluttershy sat in the loveseat, the softly colored sofa facing the door, and she stared. Her eyes were wide and her wings tense against her back as she waited, waited, and waited for a sound that had seemed to come to her home every single day since the madness started. The sound of hoofsteps, a knock at the door, or maybe even voices approaching, but the hours had ticked by and still, no pony had come. It’d been four days since her last victim, Rarity, and it seemed that every day before that, somepony had come and fallen victim to Fluttershy’s games…
But the last few days had been different. Sure, she had all the time she wanted with Big Mac, but she missed her friends too, and it bothered her that none of them had come to visit her lately. Hadn’t she been locked up in her house for almost three weeks now? Shouldn’t one of her loving and caring friends have come and checked in on her by now?
She huffed a little as she glanced at the window, seeing the sun slowly falling behind the hills of Ponyville. Princess Luna was already bringing the moon up into the sky, which meant Fluttershy had wasted the entire day sitting on her flank, watching the front door. With a small, disappointed huff, Fluttershy hopped down to the floor and headed towards the hatch leading to the basement.
“Dearest!” Fluttershy called as she walked down the stairs.
She flipped on the light and Big Mac glanced over to her, his eyes tearing up a bit as the light burned his sensitive eyes. “Yes?” he asked darkly, staring at her with an almost irritated look. He’d been locked down in the cellar for five weeks and counting with barely any food, hardly any water, and he’d been brutally mutilated on several different occasion, so his feeling towards Fluttershy were a bit… Pressed.
“I was wondering…” Fluttershy said as she walked over to Rarity, the sunglasses having fallen off her face for the twentieth time. “Who would you like me to invite over?” she asked as she replaced the sunglasses then started to fuss with Rarity’s hair, the White mare twitching and groaning as Fluttershy poked and pulled at the dried up heap. She glanced over at him, her eyes glimmering despite the lack of light. “Who would you like to see?”
Big Mac stared at her for a few moments before saying anything. “Nopony in particular,” he said simply. “At least nopony I wanna see get slaughtered,” he told her and Fluttershy huffed slightly.
She walked over to him and then nuzzled her head under his chin, cuddling against his restrained form. “Oh, honey, why do you have to be so mean to me?” she asked as she kissed his neck and chin. “Is this about that fight we had?” she asked softly. “I didn’t mean to raise my voice… I’m so sorry,” she whimpered.
“Now don’t ya start crying,” he said in a flat tone, eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the yellow mare cuddle up against him. “I surely hate it when ya cry,” he said as he turned his face away in defiance, not totally realizing what he had just said.
“Big Mac!” Fluttershy gasped as she pushed herself away from him, eyes wide. “Oh, you really do care!” she said as she rested her head on his shoulder, her hoofs upon his chest. “I knew you’d come around sooner or later!” she said, not seeing Big Mac’s irritated expression. She pushed away from him and kissed his bare teeth briefly then placed herself back firmly on the floor. “I know who to invite now!”
“Oh?” Big Mac asked simply. “And who’d that lucky pony be?”
Fluttershy pecked his teeth again, a cute little smile on her face. “How about one of your sisters?” she asked and watched as Big Mac’s eyes began to widen, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to protest, but no words came to his shocked mind. “I knew you’d love that idea!” she said with a little giggle, then took off towards the stairs. “I mean, since we’ll be getting married soon, it’s only natural that I’d get to know your family better,” she said then disappeared up the stairs, ignoring Big Mac’s shouts of protest.
She glanced out the window, seeing the sun had set, and looking to the clock she saw that it was already about nine o’clock. She nodded once to herself, knowing that most ponies turned in early, and then headed for the door. She stepped outside and inhaled fresh air, tasting the crisp summer night flavor as her wings began to flutter, carrying her tiny form into the air. She flew towards Ponyville at a casual speed, feeling that there was no reason to hurry.
She had been intending to fly over Ponyville and go straight to Sweet Apple Acres, but as she passed over the unsuspecting town, she noticed a single light on. She descended slowly towards the house, figuring it would be completely abandoned by now, but as she approached Cheerilee’s home she couldn’t help but wonder who was there. Fluttershy dropped down by the lit window and peered between the sloppily drawn curtains, curious to see who would be awake at this hour.
Inside, gathered around a mound of colorful goodies was the Cutiemark Crusaders. There were toys, blankets and pillows, and candy wrappers scatter all around the room, and the fillies were chattering back and forth excitedly, obviously intoxicated on the sugary goods they had consumed. Scootaloo, Cheerilee’s own baby sister, was laughing and snorting as she rolled around on the floor, seemingly unaware of the chunks of chocolate that were smeared into her coat. “Isn’t this fun?” she asked her two friends, grinning widely as the sugar surged through her system.
Sweetiebell giggled. “Yeah!” she said excitedly. “It’s been so fun since our sisters left! We’ve been able to play over at your house as much as we want, and nopony tells us we have to play quiet!” she said and then rolled over, beginning to laugh just like Scootaloo.
Applebloom was the only pony of the crusaders that seemed unhappy with the situation. “Girls,” she murmured. “Where did ya’ll’s sisters get to anyhow?” she asked as she glanced around the room. “I mean, ain’t we gonna to get in trouble if they come home?”
“Oh, come on Applebloom!” Sweetiebell teased with a smile. “Don’t be such a spoilsport. We’re not going to get in trouble,” she told her nervous friend.
Applebloom nodded a little, but she couldn’t shake the uneasiness that was welling up inside of her. She had overheard Applejack talking to the Royal Guard about Big Macintosh disappearing and they told her he had disappeared without a trace. From what she had heard, there was no sign of him, and neighboring towns hadn’t seen a pony with his description either. It scared her to think that something might have happened to her big brother, and she suspected the same thing had happened to Cheerilee and Rarity.
Suddenly, there was a sound from down stairs, and every filly yelped in surprise. “What was that?” Sweetiebell murmured in a terrified voice.
“I reckon it’s whatever took my big brother and ya’ll’s sisters,” Applebloom whispered and the other two ponies hugged each other in terror, whimpering as they thought of all the horrible monsters that could have taken their loved ones. Then, as if to confirm their fears, a sound came from the stairs. “Come on girls,” Applebloom murmured. “Let’s show that there monster that’s there’s gonna be hay to pay when we find Big Mac and the others,” she whispered and the other two nodded slowly.
With new found bravery they slowly approached the door, their ears laid back as they considered what kind of thing might be lurking up the stairs, drawing closer and closer to the three friends. They stood close together, plastic swords and foam baseball bats at their disposal as the monster finally reached their door.
“Fluttershy!” they all gasped as the yellow pony peered into the room
“Hello everypony,” she said softly as she glanced around the room. “I saw the light on and I thought maybe Cheerilee had come back,” she said as she walked into the room, her presence soothing the scared crusaders. “What are you fillies doing here by yourselves?”
“Well… See, we… Um?” Scootaloo said slowly, glancing at Sweetiebell for an explanation.
“We were, uh…” continued the little white mare that then looked to the last of the crusaders, Applebloom scuffing her hoof against the wood planks.
She stopped her hoof then looked up. “Now don’t ya’ll go trying to pin this on me,” she said and the other two gasped, their plans of Applebloom tanking the explanation ruined. “Afterall, ya’ll told my big sis that somepony was gonna be here watching us!” she huffed as she said this, turning her head away from the other two Cutiemark Crusaders. “The nerve of someponies,” she murmured.
Fluttershy looked around the semicircle of fillies and then frowned. “Oh dear… Well, I can’t leave you girls here by yourselves,” she said slowly, her voice soft as she turned back towards the stairs. “You three should come back to my house, then nopony will get in trouble, and I’ll feel better knowing you’re with somepony safe,” she said as she smiled back at them.
“She drives a hard bargain,” Scootaloo murmured then shrugged. “Come on, let’s go. At least we know Fluttershy’s a pushover,” she said with a little laugh and Sweetiebell and the orange filly exchanged a few soft giggles.
“Now hold your horseshoes everypony,” Applebloom said just barely above a whisper. “I’m thinking we shouldn’t be going nowhere with anypony,” she said and the other two glanced at her, giving her odd looks. “Well… Ya see, I told Applejack I’d be here, and she’ll be madder than a rotten apple if she comes to get me and I ain’t here,” she explained and then plopped down on her flank, eyes glancing between her friends and the door. “And I reckon your folks will be just as angry if they find out we left without their permission.”
“Why would they be mad?” Sweetiebell said softly, obviously confused. “My parents always told me that I should stay with a bigger pony, so we’ll be fine,” she offered as her and Scootaloo started down the stairs, going after Fluttershy.
Applebloom bit her lip as her friends descended into darkness and, with a huff, she jumped down the first three steps. “Aw, to hay with it,” she murmured as she spotted her friends hind ends.
They followed Fluttershy from the house, prancing about quietly as they passed houses and shops, getting closer and closer to the edge. Fluttershy beamed silently as they finally left town, her chore almost done. She convinced the fillies to trot along with her, telling them it was a race to her house, and whoever won would get a treat like no other. The three little ponies then took off, giggling and cheering as they approached the tiny cottage.
Fluttershy trotted behind them slowly and watched as Scootaloo jumped forward, slamming her hoof against the wooden door. “Called it!” she chimed as her two friends met her at the front door. “I won, I won!” she sang as she bounced back and forth, the other two ponies sticking their tongues out at her.
“You wouldn’t have won if you didn’t get that head start,” Sweetiebell said simply, her pride obviously suffering a blow after the epic race.
Applebloom nodded. “That’s right, and I know I say ya using your wings! That’s cheating, Scootaloo!” she said as Fluttershy finally unlocked the door and the three fillies went into the house, innocently unaware of what was happening.
“I think I know how I can fix all this,” Fluttershy said as she pranced deeper into the house, flipping on a light so the fillies could see. “How about I give all of you a treat? Would that be fair?” she asked and, still a little bit sore from losing, the Crusaders agreed to Fluttershy’s terms. She smiled at them and then walked over to the cellar hatch, throwing open the heavy, oak door with surprising ease. “Alright, last filly down is a rotten apple,” she said teasingly and the three fillies charged for the hatch, none of them wanting to be the apple.
They shot into complete darkness and, in their excitement, practically threw themselves down the stairs. Sweetiebell landed first, her leg slamming into a barrel and the stairs on her way down, and she screamed as Scootaloo landed right on top of it, bending it unnaturally. “You’re hurting me Scootaloo!” she cried out, not noticing the menacing footsteps approaching them.
“I’m sorry Sweetiebell, I tripped over your tail!” Scootaloo hastily apologized as she helped her friend unto her tender hoof, still completely blind.
“Where in blue tarnation is the light?” Applebloom grumbled as she felt around the wall, she being the only one who hadn’t gone rushing down the stairs once she realized they were there. She whistled a little as she finally found the light switch, but a hoof glided over hers and flipped it. The three fillies gasped, quickly scooting together when they could fully see everything around them.
Sweetiebell looked over to Rarity, shocked. “Sis! What are you doing down here!?” she asked shocked, but received no answer. The older mare simply stared at the ceiling, her head tilting unnaturally far one way as drool dibbled down her chin.
“Oh honey!” Fluttershy said as she pranced over to the sleeping Big Mac, the little ones noticing him for the first time. “Wake up, I brought company!” she said, nudging the stallion with her nose. The ponies, finally sensing their fate, ran for the stairs. They ascended them, their tiny hooves barely able to jump the large steps, but they made it to the door at last.
Scootaloo slammed into it, trying to budge it, but it was stuck. “I can’t open it!” she cried frantically, the sound of Fluttershy humming coming from below them.
“Teamwork, crusaders!” Applebloom demanded and the three fillies shoved into the door together, using their combined strength to open the hatch. They heard the hinges creek as the door began to rise and they knew if they could get the door open, they could escape into the Everfree forest. Fluttershy wouldn’t get them if they could escape to Zecora’s house, but as they raised the wooden slab enough for a filly to fit through, Fluttershy snatched Scootaloo by the tail.
She wailed as the yellow mare dragged her down the stairs, begging for her friends to save her, but they wondered what they could do against a full grown pony. Fluttershy threw Scootaloo up on the table, belly up, and tied her hooves to the legs of the table, leaving poor Scootaloo spread eagle on the slab. Fluttershy smiled as she walked a circle around the scared filly, her friends peering out from just a few stairs high. “Since you won the race,” said the yellow devil. “You get your treat first,” Fluttershy said as she climbed up onto the table.
She leaned forward and bit down hard on Scootaloo’s shoulder, jerking her head side to side as she dug her teeth deeper into the filly. Scootaloo screamed, jerking left and right wildly, and Fluttershy could hear the little orange pony’s bones creak in protest to the violent movement. Fluttershy ripped the chunk of flesh out of the filly’s shoulder and swallowed it whole, twitching a bit as the large piece of meat forced its way down her throat.
Blood oozed from between Fluttershy’s lips and she smiled a little to herself, running her tongue across the streams of blood escaping her mouth. She jumped from the table and dug around under the bread oven until she found a large pot.
Her intentions unclear, she disappeared into the dark back half of the cellar and running water could be heard. Scootaloo twitched, trying to look over at her shoulder, but could only twitch in agony and she looked up at the ceiling, tears running down her face. “Help!” she screamed wildly, jerking about again, blood pouring from the wound. “Somepony, anypony! Help me, please!!” she sobbed.
The frantic pleas woke Big Mac, his head swirling with sleep, and he looked up. He gasped when he realized who he was staring at. “Scootaloo?” he said and she jerked at the sound of his voice. He looked up, seeing a familiar little pony creeping down the stairs. “Oh no,” Big Mac murmured slowly, eyes widening in terror. “Not my baby sis…”
Applebloom creeped down the stairs, tears streaming down her face, but the look of purpose burning in her big orange eyes made Big Mac’s own eyes sting with the threat of tears. She jumped the last step, surprisingly silent, and she scooted herself towards her injured friend. “Don’t ya worry Scootaloo,” she murmured softly, choking on a sob, before biting down on the rope that held one of Scootaloo’s hooves. “I’ma get ya outta here,” she grumbled through the rope, tugging and pulling at the knot until it came loose.
Fluttershy came back from the dark, not noticing Applebloom tugging at the third rope holding her friend down. She hummed to herself as she set the pot of water on the edge of the bread oven, allowing the water to heat up, and then turned to get back to working on Scootaloo. She walked over and, as she put her front hooves on the edge of the table, she felt a harsh kick to her leg. She stumbled, falling back and slamming her head on the on the ash pan under the Bread Oven.
As Fluttershy groaned, Applebloom ripped the last rope from Scootaloo’s body and then tugged on her friend’s hoof. “Get up!” she cried as she pulled Scootaloo down. Sweetiebell ran down the stairs, helping Applebloom pull their traumatized friend from the table. With a look of terror on her face, Applebloom ran towards Big Mac and began tugging and tearing at his ropes, trying to get him free. “Come on Big Macintosh!” she said through gritted teeth. “We gotta get outta here, ‘fore she wakes up!”
“Just go!” Big Mac shouted hoarsely, twisting about in the loosened ropes. “Sweetiebell, ya’ll gotta use your magic to help my baby sis open the door, go!” he shouted and Applebloom opened her mouth to protest the order. “Don’t you go arguing with you brother! Go!” he snapped and Applebloom nodded hastily.
Sweetiebell was already dragging the wounded Scootaloo up the stairs, her horn glowing brightly, and turning the tears on her face into a simmering silver. The door began to glow and Applebloom ran at the door, slamming into it full force. The door creaked in protest, but didn’t budge, and down below they could hear the demon stirring. “Come on!” Applebloom screamed into the door. “Keep on it Sweetiebell, you’re the only hope we got left!”
The white filly sobbed as she tried to focus on the door, her eyes blurring with tears as the soft purple light glowed in front of her, the flames from the bread oven flickering behind them and casting eerie orange shadows on their backs. Scootaloo twitched as she leaned on her friends shoulder, just barely conscious. “You… You can… do it…” she murmured weakly, her head tilting slightly. “You can… Sweetie… Bell…”
Sweetiebell closed her eyes tightly, shaking with the effort and strain of using her magic so extensively. She cried out, the pain welling up in her as the door creaked and the light from upstairs shot down on them. Applebloom pushed against the door, holding the majority of the weight on her back as she reached back for Scootaloo. “Hurry!” she said as Sweetiebell pushed the twitching filly towards Applebloom.
Suddenly, Sweetiebell screamed as Fluttershy grabbed her tail. The aura around the hatch fizzled then died out completely, the small enclosure fading into darkness with only the ominous orange light dancing about the ponies. Fluttershy threw Sweetiebell down the stairs, watching as the white pony bounced across the floor and began to scream, tears flowing from her eyes as she tried to pull herself up, her horn lighting up again.
Fluttershy glared down, her eyes fierce, but she turned her attention to Applebloom who was caught between the hatch and the frame. The Yellow mare marched right past the unconscious Scootaloo, her hooves tracking the filly’s blood up the remaining steps as she threw the door open. Applebloom jerked, trying to pull away from the insane pony, but was hurting from the weight of the door. Fluttershy grabbed her then dragged her back into the basement, muttering about stupid fillies.
She threw Applebloom into one of the barrels, hard, and the young pony was almost knocked out. “Well,” Fluttershy said as she walked over to Sweetiebell. “I didn’t think you’d be able to use your magic so well,” Fluttershy said with a smile, but her voice dripped like venom from a snake’s mouth. “Just like your sister, always showing off,” she said as she kicked the filly in the face.
She stormed over to the bread oven, digging around nearby, until she found Rarity’s horn. “I think I’ll make some use of this, just one more time,” she said as she walked back towards the tiny white mare. Sweetiebell started to crawl away, trying to get behind a stack of barrels, but as her hoof reached the shadow of the barrels, Fluttershy slammed her hoof down on the filly’s hurt leg, effectively stopping her. “Oh, come now,” she said as she yanked Sweetiebell from the darkness. “The fun’s just getting started.”
Applebloom pushed herself up, ignoring the protesting shouts of Big Mac, and then charged towards Fluttershy. “You leave her alone!” she shouted, her puny voice echoing in the cellar. She untied her and let her fall onto her side, twitching with simple muscle spasms. “I doubt you’ll recover from that but… Just to make sure,” she said and then picked up the hammer once more. Big Mac twitched as he watched, unable to peel his eyes away. His head was pounding from the sound of the fillies screaming, his body shaking, and he shook his head as the images began dancing around inside of his head. His neck tilted, causing him to stare up at the ceiling as Fluttershy’s humming began playing in his ears, and he jerked when he felt a little touch.
He looked down, his neck snapping sharply as he stared at Scootaloo. It was obvious that she wasn’t totally conscious yet, but tears still streamed down her face. He shook his head back forth, his thoughts fighting with themselves, and Fluttershy wondered what was wrong with him.
Before she could say anything to Big Mac, she heard a soft groan. She turned, finding that Applebloom had at last found her way back to the world of the living, and she cheered. “Finally!” she said and then pranced over to the disorientated filly. “Now that you’re finally awake, and those pesky girls are done, you and I can start bonding!” she said as she dragged Applebloom to the middle of the room.

“… Don’t cry,” Big Mac said after a few moments, catching the yellow mare’s attention. “Just start thinkin’ about your… Our… Next guest,” Big Mac said slowly and Fluttershy pulled her hooves away from her face, her features completely smeared in the red substance. “You’re… Doing a good job,” he choked on his words, unsure of where they were coming from, or why he couldn’t stop them.
“Do… Do you mean it?” she asked softly and, despite his best efforts, Big Mac nodded. He watched a smile spread across the grotesque little demon’s face and she wiped at a few tears. “Alright. I’ll do that,” she told him then pranced over and pecked him on the cheek. “I’ll go take a shower, then we’ll spend some time together,” she said and then trotted off, making her way up the stairs.
She stopped by the shelf, glancing down at it. “That goes for you too, baby sister.”
The filly hiding in the hole twitched but didn’t speak. No, instead, Applebloom closed her eyes and tried her best not to think that there would never be a band of ponies quite like the Cutiemark Crusaders.

He shook his head as an image of Scootaloo appeared in his head, her eyes wide, and her head cocked off to one side. “Applebloom?” He called softly, trying to take his mind off things. He saw her little head peek out of the hole, just enough that he could see her, but not enough that somepony could snatch her up. “Fluttershy’s gonna be gone all day, you heard her. Come get some of this here salad,” he told her, gesturing with his head towards the dish on the table. “You gotta be starving.”
“I surely am… But what if she comes back early?” Applebloom murmured in a terrified voice, glancing up at the stairs. “That ol’ witch’ll get me for sure,” she whimpered.
“She will if ya keep wasting time, now come grab a bite then get,” he told her and she looked down again, catching eye of the salad. She gulped down her fear and the pain in her pelvis before climbing down from the crawl space. She trotted over quickly and snatched a couple bites of salad and then a few strawberries. “That’a girl,” Big Mac murmured affectionately. “Now head on back,” he told his sister and she nodded, the delicately prepared salad having done more for her than she thought.
Applebloom paused for a moment, looking back at Big Mac. “I could get ya untied, Big Mac,” she said, but to her surprise, the stallion shook his head.
“Nope,” he said simply. “I ain’t strong enough to even make it up them stairs. Now do as I told ya and head back for your hole,” he told her and Applebloom gave a tiny nod. She ran back up the stairs and clumsily climbed into the crawl space. To her surprise, she could almost fall asleep there after eating some food, her belly not full, but satisfied with the berries and salad she had so hastily consumed.
She started to doze off, her eyes feeling heavy, and she wondered if she would dream about her friends. However, before she fell asleep completely, she awoke with a jolt as a sharp snap came from above her. Light shown into the hole and she cried out as a pair of hooves shot down towards her, nearly catching her. She scrambled away, further away from the entrance and deeper into the wall, where less light reached, and she could hear Fluttershy grumbling. “Drat,” she said softly. “I thought that would work!” she said then slammed the wood panel back down.
Heart beating fast and freshly eaten food nearly coming up, Applebloom looked over and saw that the space above her head had hinges. It was a little trap door, probably used for storing things at some point, and Fluttershy had hoped that she could sneak up on Applebloom. She whimpered a little to herself, the fear of almost being caught welling up inside of her, but she huffed. She sniffled then pawed at the dirt in the old crawl space with a mean look on her tiny face. “I ain’t gonna cry,” she whispered to herself as she started to draw shapes in the dirt. “No sir, cause she ain’t gonna get this filly. I’m the only Cutiemark Crusader left, so I gotta be strong,” she carried on as the shapes morphed into sketchy images of Scootaloo and Sweetiebell.
The cellar hatch whined as Fluttershy threw it open, humming as she pranced down the stairs. She paid no mind to Applebloom now that she had missed her chance to catch her, but the yellow mare could still spend time with her dear fiancé. “How was your breakfast, dearest?” she asked as she observed the now empty bowls.
“Good,” Big Mac replied simply, trying to force his conversational sentences back into two words or less.
Fluttershy seemed to sense this and frowned. “Dear,” she said slowly. “I hope you’ll keep talking to me,” she said as she stacked the dishes. “I wanted to discuss something with you,” she said a bit more softly, her eyes glancing between the dishes and the floor. She sighed then walked over to Big Mac, placing her head against his chest, eyes closed. “I really want to get married,” she whispered gently.
“Ok.”
Fluttershy jerked back, shocked, and stared at Big Mac who had a similar look on his face to hers. It almost looked like he hadn’t intended to speak, or maybe meant to say something else, but as he stared at her he realized he couldn’t deny it any longer. His one leg was still free so, if he had wanted to, he could have easily snapped Fluttershy’s neck the same way he had Scootaloo’s, but he didn’t. He could have refused her food, starving himself, but he didn’t. He could just stop speaking to her until she killed him, but he still spoke to her, and slowly but surely he had started to be more kind towards her.
Fluttershy started to cry, throwing herself back onto Big Mac. “Oh, thank you so much! I love you, Big Mac!” she sobbed, her sweet smelling mane dancing past his nose and shoulder as she cuddled closer to him.
He debated if he should say something back; he wondered if that would somehow prolong his life, or maybe he actually did still feel something towards Fluttershy. In reality, he had wanted to take Fluttershy to the dance, but the Cutiemark Crusaders had given him and Cheerilee a weird potion, a Love Poison or something, and they had gone goo-goo ga-ga over each other, unable to be pried apart by anything.
Later that night, the curse being lifted, Big Mac had left the dance when Cheerilee had made a move on him. She told him that she did really want him, and she knew he wanted her too, but he turned her down in hopes of seeing Fluttershy. However, the delicate little mare never showed and, fearing the worse, Big Mac went to her home only to be cracked across the face with a frying pan…
Since then, he’d never felt the need to explain what had happened that night, figuring Fluttershy would accuse him of lying to her, and then start crying. Really, she hadn’t done anything horrible to him until that day Twilight had come over looking for her; he could hear them talking for a while and then, after Twilight had left, Fluttershy came down stairs in a worse mood than before. That’s when all the violence and gore started happening.
As the thoughts tittered back and forth on the fence of his mind, he didn’t know what to do. If he did say what she wanted, he’d be betraying his baby sister and everypony Fluttershy had killed so far, but if he didn’t, he wondered if he’d be lying to himself. It felt like he was being torn in two, his loyalties and hopes clashing with each other as he realized what was really going on, and why he had really snapped Scootaloo’s neck. She pranced over to the matted mess of a mare and then pushed her to the floor, the ropes wrapped around her body keeping her from fighting Fluttershy. Fluttershy set them on the table, beginning to hum as she disappeared into the dark again. She came back with a woven basket, a cover on top, and a soft colored yellow ribbon hanging off the handle. Fluttershy set the basket on the table, tossed the top aside, and then produced a needle and some thread. “Too bad Rarity’s brain dead… She’s a really great seamstress,” the yellow mare murmured. She shrugged as she carried the lips towards Big Mac.
He cringed before the needle ever touched his skin and clenched his teeth when Fluttershy dipped it against his gums. “Sorry honey,” whispered Fluttershy as she worked the thread through Rarity’s lips and Big Mac’s mutilated face. “Don’t worry, I’ve been practicing sewing for a long time, so I promise it won’t look bad,” she said as she finished the top lip.
After a few more minutes of working the bottom lip on, Fluttershy smiled as she set the needle back in the basket. “There,” she said, observing her handiwork. Not surprisingly, her sewing was far better than her cooking. The threads were near invisible and the lips themselves almost looked as if they belonged there, though the white ruined it almost completely. “Now you look a bit more presentable,” she said then paused, glancing around the basement.
“Unlike this place,” she murmured. “We can’t get married until the princess approves it, then she has to travel all the way to Ponyville to speak to us… But this place is a mess!” cried Fluttershy as she kicked Cheerilee’s rotting corpse. “I’ll have to clean up in here before I write to the princess,” she murmured as she dragged Rainbowdash’s body next to Cheerilee’s.
“You’re gonna write to the princess?” Big Mac asked confused, trying out his new lips, and testing them gently as he spoke. “Shouldn’t I do that?” he asked and Fluttershy paused, glancing back at him as she threw Sweetiebell’s body on top of Rainbowdash’s. Big Mac leaned back against the barrel, inhaling slowly before explaining his point. “Hun, ain’t I been missing for a good month now?” he asked and his bride nodded. “Exactly. So if the princess gets a letter from you ‘bout a stallion been missin’ that long, they’re gonna know it was you. Don’t want that.”
Fluttershy smiled at Big Mac. “You’re so smart,” she cooed, embarrassing the already uncomfortable stallion. “Alright, we’ll write it together, but first I need to clean this place up!”
Fluttershy threw Sweetiebell on the table and then cut her open with expert precision, then began to gut her, pulling out all her organs and setting them aside until she found the intestines. She pulled them out carefully, trying her best to keep them whole, and then pushing those aside as well. She repeated the process on Rainbowdash, but didn’t bother with Cheerilee, knowing her corpse was far too old to be of any use until the end.
After covering the table in guts and organs, Fluttershy pranced off into the dark of the cellar and was gone for a good half hour before coming back with a small wood chipper. “Do ya just have a whole department store back there?” Big Mac asked as he stared at the shiny red machine.
Fluttershy giggled. “No, there’s two whole rooms over there though and tons of fun things that my parents kept down here. We only lived here during the summer, but my father always kept anything we might, or might not, need here,” Fluttershy explained as she flipped on the wood chipper. It flared to life, the blades inside churning and gnashing against each other, and it sounded wretched as it spat out a few tiny chunks of wood that had been left in it from its last use.
Fluttershy pushed an extra-large metal tub under the spout for the wood chipper then, with a little smirk, began hacking away at Cheerilee’s rotting body with her trusty saw. It was a nauseating process to watch, chunks of pony meat being tossed into the chipper and the smell began to fill the cellar, causing Big Mac’s eyes to burn as the rotting juices splattered and shot out of the wood chipper. Big Mac gagged a bit as blood began oozing out of the machine, the liquid coating the blades as they tore through the meat.
As Fluttershy tossed another chunk of Cheerilee’s corpse into the machine, Big Mac realized that the meat was a sickish brown, completely rotten, and little chunks of shredded bones were shooting out at what seemed like a deadly speed. He watched as she worked, her body beginning to bob back and forth to some unknown tune, and soon she was onto Rainbowdash. She had just as much fun hacking away at the body, although the meat wasn’t nearly as discolored as the first.
Sweetiebell went in half and half, being small enough to almost fit in the shredder. The tub was almost overflowing with pony meat and Fluttershy smiled to herself again as she grabbed the intestine off the table. “Honey,” she said as she began pouring the contents into a separate tub. “Did you know that dragons stuff their prey’s intestines to make things called sausages?” she said. “Spike was telling me about it once, and that his parents use to make them for breakfast all the time,” she explained as she finished dumping out the intestine. “I’ll wash these quick and show you how to do it, it’s actually really interesting!”
Fluttershy once again disappeared into the dark and the sound of running water filled Big Mac’s ears. He could see a puddle slowly ebbing out of the darkness and could hear the slime from inside the organs, sloshing about in the sink, and then splattering on the floor. Later, Fluttershy reappeared with the now clean intestines, humming, as she carried them over to the tub of bloody pulp.

She then scooped up a few hoof fulls of them and dropped them in the tub of juices. “Just let me finish up here first, then I’ll go get some food ready for you,” she said as she tossed the rest of the links into the tub. After stirring them into it a bit she trotted over to the cracked open barrel of wine.
She tried to move it, tugging on it, and then walking around it in hopes of pushing it towards the tub of sausages. Unfortunately, Fluttershy’s delicate frame wasn’t capable of moving something so heavy and she huffed as she kicked it in her frustration, but it barely moved. Big Mac watched her for a few moments, seeing her struggle with the barrel, and he wondered why he should care at all. “Hey,” he said. “I could move that for ya,” offered the stallion.
Fluttershy glanced at him before she tried to move the barrel again. “I would love your help, honey bunches,” she huffed and then started to push her back against the barrel, her hooves digging into the floor as she struggled with the wine. “But if I untie you, you’ll try to escape or something,” she said with a little whimper, exerting herself to her limit. Sure she could move the solid oak, cellar door, and a pony, but the wine weighed about as much as two and half ponies; far too much for Fluttershy to move on her own.

“I just wanna help,” he said gently. Fluttershy watched him for several moments, studying his eyes, and then picked up a knife. She walked towards him slowly, her gaze unsure, then cut the ropes holding her stallion. She pulled them away, one at a time, until Big Mac was free, allowed to fall down on his hooves for the first time in several weeks.
He stumbled at first, catching himself on his weak knees, and then pushed his weight back on his hind legs. He tested his legs, one at a time, and winced at the pain from the infected wounds in his front leg and shoulder, but it was a bearable pain. After testing all of his legs, he glanced over to Fluttershy, eyes fixed on her and he could see her shrink back a bit, fully realizing what she had done.

She whistled again for a moment and the baby birds began to sing along, their mother sitting a branch up, and she began to sing as well. “There you go. Together they formed a small choir and soon other birds began to join in their song, the melody gaining volume and various tones of birds both big and small. Just a few trots down the road Twilight Sparkle and Spike were heading up the trail, both hoping to find some sign of the Cutiemark Crusaders who had gone missing the night before. Twilight paused when she saw the yellow Pegasus and smiled a little to herself, glad to see that somepony was handling the situation with some tact.
Spike and Twilight sat just far enough away that they could speak without interrupting Fluttershy’s lessons, both listening to the gentle tune that Fluttershy’s woodland choir was making. Although, despite how relaxing the music was, Spike was still thinking of his beloved Rarity and how she has gone missing. Nopony had seen her, but Pinkie Pie had mentioned that she had wanted to go see Fluttershy at some point that day. “Twilight,” Spike said just above a whisper, making sure that Fluttershy couldn’t hear him. “Isn’t Fluttershy acting kind of strange?” he asked.
Twilight glanced at him, a confused look in her eyes. “What do you mean Spike?”
The baby dragon stared at his friend, eyes narrowed a bit as he wondered how she couldn’t notice something so obvious. “I mean,” he stressed. “She’s so bubbly. Rarity, Rainbowdash, and Big Mac are all missing; they’re all ponies she cares about and she doesn’t seem bothered at all,” he explained, naming off the ponies on his claws as he tried to make his point clear. “And what about Cheerilee? Wouldn’t Fluttershy have motive-”
“Now hold on a minute, Spike,” Twilight said sternly. “I know Fluttershy is acting a little strangely, and I know what you mean about Cheerilee… But this is Fluttershy we’re talking about,” she offered her faithful assistant, a smile playing on her lips. “Fluttershy’s been having a really hard time lately, we all have, and she’s just handling differently than some ponies,” she assured as she began walking towards the mare as the song reached its end. Spike was about to speak again but the purple pony began to speak first. “That sounded wonderful Fluttershy.”
The yellow pegasus dropped to the ground as the birds began to disperse and she smiled shyly, digging her hoof at the ground. “Thanks, Twilight,” she murmured then glanced up, seeing Spike’s narrowed eyes. She glanced away, a tiny frown beginning to form on her lips. “I’ve been trying to keep busy, so I don’t get in the way… Of the investigation,” she murmured then glanced back at Twilight, her eyes wide. “Have they learned anything yet?”
Twilight frowned herself, ears flattening against her head as she thought of her meeting with the team Princess Celestia had assigned to the case. “Not really,” she confessed. “Someponies think Rarity might have been going to Canterlot, but nopony by the station saw her,” Twilight explained. “As for Rainbowdash, well… We thought she might have gone to Cloudsdale for a visit, but nopony up there has seen her either… It’s all very strange,” Twilight explained and Fluttershy nodded slowly, her expression portraying worry, but Spike still felt uncomfortable with her earlier behavior.
“I see,” she said softly. “I hope everypony is alright,” she murmured, her mane falling over one of eyes as she looked down at the ground. “It’s all a lot to think about,” she said in an even softer tone. “Twilight?” the yellow mare whispered. “Can I tell you something? Something really secret?” she asked, ignoring the triumphant look on Spike’s face.
“Of course Fluttershy, as long as you don’t mind Spike hearing as well,” she offered and Fluttershy nodded, offering a tiny nod and a smile to the baby dragon.
The mare turned her head, sticking her mouth into a small saddle bag on her side. She produced a small white envelope. She passed it to Spike and he stared at it, observing the signature on the back. “Oh my gosh,” he murmured. “It’s from Big Mac!” he gasped in shock and Twilight stared at him, astonishment ebbing onto her expression as she looked between the letter and the mare who had been carrying it.
“It is,” Fluttershy said and then scooted closer to Twilight. “Big Mac came home a few days ago,” she whispered to Twilight and Spike, the two gasping in shock. Fluttershy began to smile, a brilliant blush dancing across her face. “He’s been staying at my house, and we’ve talk a lot about what happened,” she explained and then gestured to the letter with her nose. “He asked me give that letter to you so Spike could send it to the Princess… Will you two do this for us?” she asked.
“Of course! But why so secretive?” Twilight asked, happiness welling up inside of her that one of the missing ponies was safe, and in some of the best hooves possible, but still upset with the stallion for not alerting the proper authorities of his return. “Why didn’t he go straight home to tell his family?”
“He said he needed some time to himself… That’s why he left,” explained the yellow mare. “But he’ll come back soon, but promise not to tell anyone yet. Please Twilight?” Fluttershy said as she stared into her friend’s eyes, and even making the purple pony a little uncomfortable.
Finally, Twilight sighed in defeat. “Alright, we’ll send the letter to the princess for you,” she said and then switched the topic to something a bit grimmer. “Does he know what happened to Cheerilee?” she asked.
Fluttershy frowned. “Not that I know of,” said the shy mare, eyes drifting to the ground and Twilight frowned. “I’m really sorry Twilight,” offered Fluttershy.
“Don’t worry about it, Fluttershy. You’ve really given me some peace of mind, knowing that at least one of the missing ponies is alright,” Twilight offered then felt Spike poke her, reminding her that they had other things to do that day. “Anyway, we have some work to do yet today, so we’ll see you later,” Twilight offered and Fluttershy smiled. The two parted ways and, despite Fluttershy’s convincing performance, Spike wasn’t totally sure if he trusted Fluttershy anymore.
Fluttershy trotted up to her front door, her yard once again populated with tiny woodland creatures. She’d been keeping up with her chores much better lately, helping to lull any suspicions towards her. She opened the door without a second thought, feeling a bit cheery as she locked it once again. In her blissful mood, she almost didn’t notice the hoofsteps behind her and turned, a little surprised to see Big Mac.
“Honey,” she said softly. “You startled me.”
He smiled at her and then took another step towards his mare, rubbing his nose against hers. “Sorry Sugar Maple,” he said gently, soothing her as he let her cuddle her head under his chin. Now that he’d gotten closer to her, really accepted her, some of his more characteristic pet names were starting to shine though. Fluttershy loved each one, feeling that everyone was special, and that they signified how special she was to her stallion. “You hungry, darling?” he asked and the mare looked up surprised.
Big Mac led her to the sofa and had her sit down, kissing her gently on the cheek before disappearing into the kitchen. He returned with a tray decorated with pancakes, the sausages from downstairs, sliced up bananas, and two large glasses of orange juice. Fluttershy gasped as he set the tray down on the coffee table and separated the pancakes and sausages onto two plates. “You made all this for me?” she asked shocked and he smiled at her as he pushed a plate towards her.
The two nuzzled each other’s noses for a moment before they began eating, enjoying the company of one another. Sure, Big Mac felt a little strange being so close to his captor, but it felt better still to finally be with her the way he had always wanted to be.
Since coming up from the cellar, Fluttershy had cleaned his wounds and dyed his lips, making them match the rest of his coat. For the most part, nopony would be able to tell what had happened to him as long as he kept his wounds covered. They hoped that, when Princess Celestia came to marry them, they could ask her to heal Big Mac, and they already had a story to tell her as to how he was injured.
As they worked on breakfast Big Mac glanced at the cellar door, thinking of his baby sister and how exhausted she must have been. “Hey, hun?” Big Mac asked gently as he set down his pancake. “I reckon it’d be awfully nice if Applebloom had breakfast with us, would’da mind?” he asked tentatively, watching Fluttershy’s expression anxiously.
The yellow mare glanced at him then smiled brightly. “Of course not, dear,” she said with a little smile. She pranced off to the kitchen then reappeared with a small plate. She set it down and began to separate some pancakes and sausages onto the third plate. She paused for a moment as Big Mac went towards the cellar door. “Hmm, honey?” Fluttershy asked softly, turning her head towards her loving. “Do you think Applebloom would prefer a something else?”
Big Mac glanced over at her, thinking for a moment. “Yeah, something fruity maybe. Less meat?” he offered and Fluttershy smiled at him before prancing off into the kitchen to prepare something for her little sister to be. The stallion descended the stairs a few feet before coming to the crawl space where his sister was hiding; she’d have been down there for a full day without food or water, not to mention her injuries, so she was probably weak, if nor unconscious. “Applebloom?” he called into the space tentatively, hoping for a response.
A small cloud of dirt and pebbles met his snout and he pulled back, shaking his head as the cloud of dirt faded into obscurity. “You might as well get gone, Big Mac!” screamed the tiny filly, her voice hoarse and shaky. “Why would’da go and choose her over your own kin!?” shouted the little pony, her voice cracking with the effort of yelling.
“Hey now, that ain’t fair little sis,” Big Mac said slowly, making sure to avoid getting more dirt in his face. “I love Fluttershy, see? There was a long moment of silence, the filly offering not even the slightest sound in return to Big Mac’s testimony. The red stallion watched the whole for a while, waiting patiently, but still no reply came to his ears. “Alright, Applebloom,” he said a bit more softly as Fluttershy approached him from behind. “I’m gonna leave the door open for ya, so if you go and change your little mind, you just come on up, ya hear?” he asked with the intention of getting no answer.
He glanced back at Fluttershy who had a bowl of fresh orange slices. Big Mac reached back to Fluttershy, gesturing for the bowl, and she handed it off to him. Big Mac set the bowl just inside the crawl space, a few inches away from the entrance, but deep enough that Applebloom could snatch it up if she wanted to. Satisfied with his attempt, Big Mac descended the last of the stairs and retrieved an item from the cellar table before heading back upstairs.

They were brought out of their trance only by the sound of a tiny cough; they both turned to the cellar, seeing Applebloom with the bowl the orange slices had been in before. She set it on the floor for a moment, looking up at the two adult ponies with fear in her eyes. “W-Where would’da like me to put this here bowl?” she asked slowly, trying not to stutter.
Fluttershy stared at her for a few moments then smiled. “Just beside the sink, please,” she said and the filly nodded as she scooped it up and quickly carried her tiny form to the kitchen. She reappeared and the two adults beckoned her over, gesturing to the plate of food with smiles. Applebloom considered running back for the stairs, diving into her cubby hole, but her tummy seized up and snarled at her; she had ravenously consumed the orange slices, barely chewing them as she stuffed them in her mouth, but she was nowhere near full.
She approached the table despite her better judgment, creeping closer with extreme caution. She sat herself down next between the two ponies, one on either end of the table, and Fluttershy pushed a stack of pancakes towards her. Applebloom could feel herself start to drool as Big Mac poured syrup over the stack. She could barely resist diving straight into the pile, but she didn’t want to upset Fluttershy, so she began picking apart the pile at an almost normal pace.

She’d known they were going to be married, sure, but now she knew that he loved her… He loved her, wanted to be with her, with a doubt in his mind, and had proven it to her as well. She sniffled a little, inhaling, and then began to nod. “I… I will,” her voice squeaked delicately and Big Mac smiled at her.
The crowd around them offered comments of praise and some heavy shouts of joy and congratulations, embarrassing the two ponies in the center of the heap. It was done, they were now officially a couple in the eyes of the townsponies, and Big Mac had just started feeding them rotten fodder. He nuzzled Fluttershy’s nose for a moment then looked back to Applejack. “Now that I’m back, I ain’t gonna rest till we find Applebloom,” he offered his babysister, the blonde pony beginning to sob again as she hugged the red stallion.
The couple returned to Fluttershy’s cottage with lofty hearts, Fluttershy practically skipping on their way back to her abode. “Big Mac?” she asked gently as she began to hover just inches above. “If we give them Applebloom they won’t let us get married,” she said softly, staring at her fiancé with curious eyes.
Big Mac trotted alongside his hovering bride, smiling slightly. “Yeah, but it’ll be awfully hard for my family if Applebloom ain’t there to celebrate with us,” he explained, still confusing the yellow mare. “Don’t worry darlin’, I got a plan,” he explained with a wink of his eye, causing a thick pink blush to spread across Fluttershy’s pale complexion.
They made it back to the cottage, their spirits high, and their wedding plans finally in motion. They both tore apart the room, becoming more crazed as a terrible truth came to light in their dark minds. Fluttershy pulled her head out of a large wooden chest at the foot of the bed, the hair along her back standing on end and her mane being disrupted by a teasing stroke of the wind. She looked towards the only window in the room, seeing it hanging slightly ajar. “Big Mac,” she said harshly, drawing the stallion’s attention from the closet. He trotted over to his bride who stood by the now fully opened window, the mare’s beautiful blue eyes staring furiously down at the drops of blood along the frame. “She got outside,” Fluttershy said slowly, rage very evident in her tone.

The yellow mare pointed towards the forest, a small puddle of blood and hoof prints just inches away from her. “She went into the forest, looking for Zecora I bet,” Fluttershy conducted and then glanced at her soon-to-be husband, the colt of her dreams.
“Let’s go,” Big Mac said sternly and then headed into the forest without another word, Fluttershy trotting after him, her mind filled with malicious intent for the young filly they were searching for. They searched every crevice, den, and hollow they stumbled across in search of Applebloom, and they hoped she hadn’t made it to Zecora’s yet, or they would surely be doomed.
Applebloom couldn’t believe she could still walk; her left hind leg felt completely numb, her head was spinning in nauseating circles, and she vomited at least twice now. She shivered as the wind danced across her back, inducing a need to vomit again, but she held it down and stumbled on. Her knees felt like they might snap in half, but the safety of Zecora’s home called out to her, beckoned her, and she knew she could make it if she pressed on.
She was a cutiemark crusader, the last crusader, and it was her responsibility to get to Zecora’s; that was the only way to avenge her fallen friends, her soul mates, and the only ponies who had ever really understood her. “It ain’t much further now, girls,” she whispered to herself as she dragged her uselessly hind leg, not noticing the thin cut she’d gotten when climbing out the splintered window. She sniffled a little, her head still throbbing. “We… We are the… Cutiemark… Crusaders…” she murmured as she dragged on.
Applebloom continued her song, their song, and found new strength with each passing verse. She felt like they were there, nudging her on and pushing her forward and Applebloom knew if she could make it to Zecora’s, she’d be safe, along with the legacy of the Crusaders. She paused for a moment, her stomach churning again and she hurled, the memories of what had happened to her friends overtaking her system and making her sick.
She shook, her throat and nose burning from the stomach acids, but still she pressed on. Leafs cushioned each step, making the filly nearly silent as the wind curled about her mane and tail. It was pleasant, making her sleepy as she struggled against fatigue and hunger… Why was something so terrifying as the Everfree forest suddenly so peaceful?
Was it because of Fluttershy and Big Mac?
Applebloom stumbled and fell face first into a cushiony pillow of clover, her mind betraying how weak her body was. That’s it, thought the weak filly. I just ain’t afraid of it anymore, she concluded as she pushed herself up, taking in her surroundings; the scenery much more beautiful than she’d ever realized. The trees were full of crisp green leafs, the ground was blanketed in thick veils of clover and sweet grass, and the flowers that bloomed were brilliant reds, purples, and blues.
She laid there for a long time, just staring at everything around her, before she finally found the energy to stand again. It felt like her body was weighed down with cement, all of her legs becoming numb as she crawled forward, her head spinning. It didn’t matter how she felt, how dizzy or sick she became as her body went through the traumas she’d suffered; all she cared about was getting to Zecora’s and warning the rest of Ponyville about the insane duo.
“Holy hay,” she whispered as she stepped onto of a small mound, staring down the hill to see Zecora’s house just a few more yards away. She began the decent down the hill, her eyes transfixed upon the odd home of the town’s local zebra. Applebloom couldn’t believe it; she was just a few more steps away from her goal, from her friends…

Something snatched her tail and she was about to scream, but a hoof was placed firmly over her mouth, and all she could do was kick and struggle as her captor dragged her backwards, pulling her away from the beacon of safety. She craned her neck, her head turning slightly in an attempt to see what had captured her.
