The end of the world? Hurray!
"Rarity, what color do you think I should use for the poster to celebrate the whole week after the apocalypse?" I asked, jumping up to the pony, who was lying on the ground, crushed, under a large tree. I'll tell you a secret, it grew such delicious beans! Almost like chocolate!
When I licked my lips, accidentally imagining chocolate on them, Rarity let out a sob and said, dramatically putting a hoof on her forehead: "I can't talk, Pinkie, I'm sad! This crude meteorite destroyed my boutiques!"
"Actually, I talked to the meteorite, and it's not rude! Well, at least he's not interrupting." I cheered, jumping up slightly on the spot. So high that my head hits the wet foliage of a tree.
"Uh, yeah. It's definitely pleasing," Rarity replied, removing her hoof from her forehead for a moment.
"But the whole situation is still terrible!" She finished by putting her hoof back on her forehead and collapsing to the ground.
I don't think it was a good opening joke.
Looking around, in search of something that would make the situation more fun, I saw a large blue spider with a diamond-shaped body crawling through the thick grass. Leaning slightly towards it, I asked, "Hey, Rarity, did your cutie mark run away by any chance?"
"Pinkie, I can't talk, I'm trying to break up the drama. Let's discuss what color we'll repaint the sand on the beach, sometime later?" Rarity replied with a hint of annoyance in her voice and cast a brief glance at me.
"No, I mean, this spider is very similar to your cutie mark! So cool." I said, lightly stroking the spider with my hoof. So soft. I think Fluttershy will like it!
"A spider!?" Rarity screamed, suddenly standing on all fours and pressing herself against a tree.
I lifted the spider with my hoof and said, holding it out to Rarity, "Cool, huh? I've already thought of a name for him! I'll name you. . . Redips!"
Rarity bit her lip in obvious disgust and asked slowly, "Aren't you afraid that this spider is, well, poisonous?"
"Even so, it won't hurt us!"
"Why?"
"Story armor, silly!" I replied, stroking Rarity's mane with my free front hoof.
Wait, if I'm holding a spider with one hoof and stroking Rarity with the other, how am I standing?
Turning around briefly, I saw that I was balancing extremely successfully on my hind hooves. Oh, phew, I thought for a moment that I had turned into something crazy! Like a super cool monkey without fur. Although, no, it's somehow not crazy at all. On the contrary, it's corny.
"Uh, can you get the spider away from me, please?" Rarity asked slowly, her voice strained.
"But he's my friend. I already gave him a name!" I replied, stopping stroking Rarity's mane and just holding the spider with one hoof.
She sighed in disappointment and said reluctantly: "If you let him go, I'll help you organize a party to celebrate the end of the world."
"It's a party for the week after the end of the world!" I corrected, puffing out my cheeks. The most important thing in a party is the name. Well, after invitations, balloons, treats, friendship, fun, music. . .
Maybe the name isn't that important. Like, I would have come to the party even if it was called unknown or something.
My thoughts were interrupted by a reluctant nod from Rarity, followed by her words: "Yes, I'm sorry, Pinkie. The name is very important. Anyway, I'm ready to help. If you take this thing away."
"Really? Great! See you again, Ipsder!" I said before throwing the spider towards a thick bush with a sharp movement of my hoof. I am sure that the friends of this spider will like this story!
"I think you called him Redips." Rarity spoke slowly, looking at me with embarrassment.
"Mmm, no, this little cute spider with a great sense of humor was called Derpsi." I said, shaking my head quickly. Oh, my head is spinning.
"Um. Okay. Yes, that's always been his name." Rarity replied with an extremely slow nod.
Yes, such a good spider named Spider.
Nodding slightly, I asked quickly jumping up and down: "So what color is better to make a poster? Green? Oh! Or maybe. . ."
"Definitely not green." Rarity replied, frowning and shaking her head very slowly. Hey, green isn't that bad! Gummy, for example, is very fond of looking for this color in the mirror!
Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted when Rarity waved her hoof and asked: "And anyway, what are you planning to make a poster out of for the party? It's like, well, you can see for yourself."
"I still have everything I need for a party, in my mane!" I exclaimed instantly, pulling out a small piece of green party poster from my mane.
Rarity frowned slightly and muttered, "I didn't think such big things could fit in there. Uh, what else do you keep there, darling?"
I jumped up excitedly and took a deep breath before starting to pull out objects and say, "Camera. A party cannon. Cartridges. The apple tank. A party bomb. Bananas. And a set of balloons."
Rarity blinked in surprise several times before she asked in embarrassment, "Why do you need a banana on a tropical island?"
Oh, I almost forgot!
"And the plane!" I said, pulling his nose out of his mane before hiding it back.
Rarity stared at me blankly for a few moments before shaking her head and asking, "I feel like you're going to give an answer in your typical style. But where did you get all this?"
"I bought it on eBay, of course!" I replied, smiling broadly at her.
"Uh, yeah. This is the answer I expected." Commented Rarity taking a deep breath.
Did you expect it? So my surprises are no longer amazing!? This needs to be fixed! Right after I organize a party in honor of the week after the end of the world.
"Anyway, I'm not sure I can handle any more interactions with your mane. So, can I just help you with a place for the poster?" Rarity suggested, wearily rubbing her forehead with a hoof.
"Okay, let's go, I just know a shortcut!" I squeaked excitedly before grabbing Rarity by the hoof and jumping with her into the nearest bushes, which caused her to gasp in fright. Ha, still, a predictable pony like me can sometimes be unexpected!
"Ew, ew, ew!" Rarity shouted, waving her hooves very hard as I carried her through the bushes. Maybe it's all the bright bugs here and there. Although I'm not sure if 'ew' is the right sound to convey admiration.
Well, my friends are often weird, I'm already used to it!
"And we're here! Thank you for contacting Pinkie Express!" I said as soon as I came out of the bushes and sat Rarity down on the sand.
She blinked in surprise several times before giving me a narrowed look. After a couple of silent seconds, she stood up on four hooves, dusted herself off and said with a deep sigh: "I'm not going to ask where you got the driver's cap from."
"Oh. And I wanted to tell you a detailed story related to this." I said, upset, before putting the blue cap in the mane.
Taking a deep breath, I said, standing on my hind hooves: "Well, then I'll tell you the story of how I prepared a party in honor of the week after the end of the world. First I woke up, then I checked my mane, then I found out what day it is! I ran very, very quickly to look for the most fashionable pony and found it, brought it to the beach before I started talking about how I was preparing a party in honor of the week after the end of the week. I told her about how. . ."
"I get it, Pinkie." Rarity said it slowly and deliberately, but firmly at the same time.
Hmm, for some reason I can taste Twilight's hoof in my mouth. What a vivid memory!
Suddenly, my gaze shifted slightly and I saw Fluttershy, who was sitting with her head in her hooves, on the sand, next to a strange collapsed wall. This was definitely a piece of important lore that would bring Equestria back at the end of the journey as if there had been no meteorite. Well, or it's just a few random stones that are lying very well.
I shrugged my shoulders before quickly jumping up to her and saying enthusiastically, "Hi, Fluttershy! How did you know there was going to be a party here?"
She looked at me from under her forehead and asked in a trembling voice: "A-A party?"
"Yeah! In honor of the whole week since the end of the world! "I answered cheerfully, jumping up and smiling broadly at Fluttershy.
Her gaze shifted slightly from side to side before she said softly, rubbing her hooves: "But you've already had a doomsday party. And a party in honor of the day after the end of the world. Well, and so on."
That's the point! In a world where every continent was destroyed by a meteorite, every new day is a miracle! Well, or the ill-considered setting.
Most likely the second one. Shaking my head quickly, I focused on Fluttershy and asked: "By the way, why are you holding your head in your hooves? Are you afraid of getting sunstroke?"
Without waiting for her answer, I said cheerfully: "Don't worry! If you get a sunstroke, just hug the sun back and it won't hit you anymore. Maybe it will even become your friend!"
Fluttershy smiled awkwardly and said, slightly removing her hooves from her head, "Well, this is definitely one of the tips from Pinkie."
I'm always happy to help a friend!
There was silence in the air for a few moments before I felt my tail start to twitch. Sighing, I put a hoof to my ear and muttered to myself, "Yeah, dash, yeah, yeah dot dot dot. Yes, yes, I'm listening."
"Pinkie, what are you doing?" Rarity's confused voice asked from behind me. Naturally, the question interrupted my thoughts for a moment. "I hoped that because of this I wouldn't decode the tail signals somehow incorrectly, which was absolutely possible!
After a couple of seconds, I waved my hoof and said with a laugh, "Oh, nothing! My tail said it was coming, something small the size of a grain of sand. It probably just wants extra attention."
Poor guy, I guess I've started hugging my tail too rarely. Don't worry, I'll do it soon!
Lightly stroking my tail, I turned to Rarity and asked, jumping very quickly: "So, where do you think the poster for the party will look the most amazing, fun, positive, funny and so on!?"
"Uh, how about just hanging it between these two palm trees? It looks like the only place where you can place something like that in principle." Rarity answered slowly, pointing her hoof to the left. Turning around, I saw two palm trees standing side by side, between which there was a view of the sea. Well, who needs a view of the boring sea if there is a funny poster?
With a quick nod to myself, I sat down on the sand and started pulling posters out of my mane before saying, "So! I have these holiday posters. Lime, just green, olive, jade, sea green and finally the color of the green lawn! Which one is better?"
Rarity's deep breaths greeted me in response. Oh, she must be very impressed with my posters! Smiling and expecting a smile in return, I turned to Rarity but saw her put a hoof on her heart. As soon as she noticed my gaze, she collapsed on the sand and said ruefully, "Too much green. I can't handle it."
Wow. Such a powerful drama!
I clapped my hooves very quickly and said excitedly, "Hooray, hooray, Rarity! It turned out to be as convincing as the end of the world. No, even better! That's what real drama is."
"Pinkie, I passed out from shock, don't forget. " Rarity whispered back, with her eyes closed. However, I could still see the smile on her lips. I guess drama can be funny too, right?
"Okie Doke!" I replied cheerfully before grabbing the most unexpected of all the posters with my hoof. The poster is just green. I know, I know, everyone expected me to take the colors of sea green because I'm on a tropical island.
But don't worry. We are all predictable sometimes.
Giggling, I quickly attached the holiday poster to two palm trees, so that it was addressed to me. And, thank the plot, the necessary inscription was already there! Well, or I just prepared for this party a month ago. There may also be such an option.
I shrugged slightly, but I felt a sudden heat. Like, I know it's summer, but it's really hot now! Turning from side to side, I asked confusedly, "Did one of you turn on the heater?"
Rarity lay motionless, but very dramatically on the ground and Fluttershy shook her head slightly before looking up. Suddenly, she froze with wide-open eyes and said pointing her hoof at the sky: "Eh, another one?"
Jumping up high, I looked in the direction Fluttershy was pointing and saw, a drum roll, another meteorite! Yes, it is much smaller than the first one, but the main thing is that it is a big hot stone with which it is probably not bad to hug.
But more importantly, the meteorite will make an incredible photo for memory!
Landing on the sand, I quickly took the camera out of my mane and saw the last photo taken on it. A party in honor of the end of the world! Oh, what a shot, what bracelets I have, what a meteorite, how Rainbow and Twilight fly. Huh! It will definitely go on the cover. The only downside is that I blinked in this photo.
Giggling, I switched the camera and went to the settings. After a couple of seconds, I asked loudly, "Rarity, what do you think is the best filter for a keepsake photo?"
"A photo? Of course, the black and white filter!" Rarity replied almost instantly, while still lying on the sand. Wait.
I just noticed that she was wearing a transparent jumpsuit! Of course, that's right! She would never have laid down on the sand in her life without something like this!
After admiring my attentiveness for a couple of moments, I answered loudly: "But black and white is so negative!"
"Then use white and black." Rarity replied calmly.
"Oh, that's an idea. Thank you, Rarity!" I replied, quickly adjusting the camera before nodding to myself and looking around for a photographer. After all, I don't have a tripod. It didn't fit into the mane.
Suddenly, my gaze caught a crab that was walking from the beach towards the jungle. Smiling, I quickly jumped up to him and asked, handing him the camera: "Mr. Crab! You probably have an important meeting with unique creatures in the forest. But can you please take a picture of us?"
To my delight, after a couple of seconds of silence, the crab grabbed my camera with its claw and waved the second one, as if giving the signal to take my place.
I will not forget this, Mr. Crab, and I will definitely buy at least one Hay Burger from you!
Nodding decisively, I took a few quick jumps before standing on my hind hooves in front of the holiday poster. After glancing at Rarity, I decided not to ask any questions. It adds a perfect concentration of drama to the image. Well, or comedy, which way to look at it.
Turning to Fluttershy, I asked: "Are you ready for a lovely keepsake photo?"
In response, she awkwardly rubbed her mane and said softly: "Pinkie, don't you think this is somehow inappropriate. Well, I'm kind of scared. Like, a second meteorite is flying to Equestria!"
"Uh, I didn't quite get it. Are you going to be photographed? " I asked, rubbing my head with my hoof.
"Well, yes, I will," Fluttershy replied even more quietly.
It's good that I have good hearing!
Lifting my hoof, I said, turning to the crab: "Okay, you can take pictures, Mr. Crab!"
Just a moment later, a bright flash, comparable to a meteorite, flew out of the camera. When the light died down, I blinked several times and jumped up to the crab while saying, "Let me see, let me see, let me see!"
Mr. Crab, like a real gentleman, handed me the camera as soon as I was close enough to him. Nodding gratefully, I took the camera from him and looked at the saved photo. The meteorite is good, Rarity is super dramatic and Fluttershy turned out well too. But, but. . .
"I blinked!" I roared, falling to my knees and spreading my front hooves to the sides.
Now I have to wait for the next meteorite to take a nice memorable photo!
