There were hardly any problems that happened in this peaceful world; ponies lives happily, fillies ran and played in the streets of towns, and the royal guard were rarely ever called into action But as history has proved, peace is not everlasting. In recent times, small attacks happened in the streets of the cities. The threats grew so large that the two Princesses ordered the best scientist to create weapons of defense. And thus, guns were born. Unfortunately, ponies were of course unable to hold them correctly, so they had to be held in their mouth, with the exception of Unicorns. Fortunately, the guns were made to be activated by biting down on the trigger which was located on the top. It took a good amount of training to not fire pre-maturely, as well as to speak, but it was eventually done. The guns were delivered to all the royal guard, but unfortunately, the royal guard alone wasn’t enough to stop the ever-growing attacks. With this new problem arising, the Princesses set up small guard stations, manned by guards called peacekeepers in each of the cities; their headquarters in Ponyville. Finally, with these peacekeepers, the attacks died down and peace returned for a decade. Sadly, this peace died much faster than the previous one. The lust for power that the newly created guns created was too much for pony kind to handle. Larger shoulder mounted weapons such as shotguns, machine guns, rifles, and even rocket launchers were created. With these weapons circulating, Princess Celestia was forced to create a powerful spell that made everypony that wasn’t a guard forget how to use guns. Shortly afterwards, a special elite group was established in Ponyville dedicated to gun control, and making sure weapons slowly slipped off the face of Equestria. This group remained unnamed for ten more years, until their goal changed when terror reigned again. Over the course of another ten years, there began to be reports of various kidnappings and murders, forcing the special group to change their name. It then was called S.P.A.R.C, which stood for: Safety Prioritization and Rescue Control. (Pronounced Spark) This group was told to no longer care about gun control, and instead began to investigate the murders and kidnapping. Most of the time, they managed to turn up a kidnapping victim, but never once had they found the killer or kidnapper. There was one thing of note however; all of the murders and kidnapping were all similar, indicating it was the same person, or group of people doing it. Finally, grisly murders began to happen in the Canterlot mountains, always far away from Canterlot itself. A team from S.P.A.R.C called Lunar Squad was sent to investigate, and didn't return. Celestial Squad soon followed into the mountains, and discovered that which no pony should ever have to see. Equestrian Evil Chapter 1 - Abandoned HopeCanterlot Mountain Forest, July 1998 Me and my comrades; members of an elite group of police officers called S.P.A.R.C were called out to the forest on the unoccupied side of the mountain on a rescue mission. We had just recently lost contact with Lunar Squad, who had been sent out to investigate a string of reports regarding horrific murders in the mountains. All of the victims of the murders were reported to have been eaten; by what appeared to be diamond dogs, but the bite marks resembled pony teeth. The whole thing smelled fishy to me. After we lost contact, the captain of S.P.A.R.C, Rainbow Dash, sent out Celestial Squad to investigate, which was composed of our combat specialist, Me; our captain, Rainbow Dash; the smart planner of the team, Fluttershy; our pilot, Cloud; our second combat specialist, Barry Blood-drop; and our tech master, Elec. The reports of the murders have been going on for about a week now. At first the Ponyville Peacemaker Department were on the case, but after they couldn’t turn up anything, the job went to us. Lunar Squad left about eight hours ago, and we lost contact completely about an hour ago. Captain Dash told us it was most likely the mountains bad reception, but even her hard headedness died down after an hour of silence. So here we were, currently searching the Canterlot Mountains for a downed S.P.A.R.C carriage, with a storm brewing. “Captain, I see the downed carriage. I’m making a landing nearby in a clearing.” “Roger that Cloud. Okay everypony, get your gear together and stay sharp. If all goes well they will have rendezvoused near the carriage. If not, then we have a lot of territory to cover. Big Mac, you and Fluttershy search the carriage. Barry, Elec, and I will be searching the nearby forest. If anything happens, meet up at the wreckage. “ “Yes captain!” Rainbow Dash gave us a nod as we began to land. Hopefully we would find them before the rain started. This barding takes forever to dry. We all started piling out of the carriage, and into the dark night sky. The weather patrol seemed to be doing a rather good job, because I couldn't even see the moon beyond the dark clouds. “It’s kinda spooky out here. I hope Lunar Squad is alright.” Fluttershy looked timidly to the ground as she spoke. Never had she been the best at dealing with situations like this, but she was the only one in the whole peacemaker force that was this smart. “Don’t worry. Help me search the wreckage for clues; they can’t be far.” She smiled and nodded. The wreckage was pretty bad; not a single salvageable part remained of the carriage. There was no reason a pilot of S.P.A.R.C should crash like this unless he managed to get a horrific cramp in his wing, which is incredibly unlikely to happen due to the rigorous training they have to go through. Despite the fact, the pilot didn't seem to be anywhere near; meaning that he managed to get to safety. “Hey captain, I found something.” Fluttershy perked up as she heard news of one of our comrades, and ran off to where the voice came from. Within a couple of seconds, I heard agonized screaming accompanied by what appeared to be barking and muffled growling. I assumed the worst. “No! Elec!” I heard Fluttershy yell out. Whatever she saw, I don’t envy her, but I couldn't leave her to whatever it what that just attacked Johnny. “Hold on! I’m coming.” My four legs began sprinting as fast as I could to where Fluttershy’s screams were coming from. Within seconds I reached a small clearing, with Fluttershy looking over something mangled and bloody. When I neared I saw it was Elec; now a mere bloody heap of a once lively pony. Something had ripped him to shreds, leaving nothing but a mangled corpse. Fluttershy didn’t seem to be able to look away, so I averted her gaze with my right front hoof. “Come on, we have to report this to Rainbow. We can’t stay here, those things will be back.” She looked up to me with tears in her eyes. Obviously seeing a friend ripped to shreds was too much for her, and I couldn’t blame her. “He’s… He’s…” “I know, we can grieve back at headquarters. Let’s find Rainbow and get out of here.” “Okay.” She perked up a little, took one last look back at Elec, and then stood next to me as we walked into the forest to find Rainbow. I activated my radio and hoped to get a signal out here. “Captain, this is Mac, do you hear me?” There was no response, but I could hear the faint sound of running footsteps. “Captain?” “RUN!” WE barely had time to turn around before Rainbow and Barry rushed past us. It was strange that Rainbow wasn’t flying, as she usually always is. Regardless, we did and told and stayed right on their heels as we ran towards the direction of out carriage. “What is it captain?” “I don’t know, just keep running!” It took me a moment to notice, but Rainbow’s wing was wrapped up in medical gauze. “What happened to your wing?” We began to have to dodge trees, as they were starting to get in the way. “I crashed when one of those things jumped out of a tree, barely had time to patch it up. Can the questions wait until we reach the carriage?” She gave me an angry stare. When she gives you that stare, you stay quiet. “Understood.” “Are we… Nearly there?” Fluttershy spoke up from behind me. She never really was the most athletic. We started to slow a bit as neared the clearing we had landed in; out carriage sitting in front of us. Something was wrong though. Howling was going off all around, as well as growling. Unfortunately Cloud never was the bravest of us, and he hadn’t seen us coming. The howls must have frightened him off, because his wings were flapping and he was soon to take off. By the time we reached the clearing, he was already in the air. “Wait! Don’t you dare leave us here!” My screams were in vain. Now we were all alone out here in the Canterlot Mountains; monsters closing in on us. “We can’t stay here. So run!” Rainbow began to run in a direction. None of us had a plan, so we chased after her. The running was tiresome, but it was better than dealing with those… Things. Everything was the same around us, until I saw something in the distance that stood out. It was what appeared to be an old castle, one that didn’t appear to be Canterlot designed. “Everybody, run for that castle!” “Roger Big Mac.” We all began to run towards the castle; the creatures right behind us. I began to feel my four legs weren’t fast enough, and for the first time ever wish I had wings to give me an extra boost I needed. Fortunately, it wasn’t needed. “Everybody inside! Move it!” Rainbow opened the door for us, allowing us access inside. The second we entered, we heard Rainbow come in; closing the door behind her. “That was too close.” I looked at Fluttershy, who was panting, trying to speak. “Where… Is… Barry?” Me and Rainbow looked around. Sure enough, Barry was nowhere in sight. “I don’t know. Was he with us at the landing site? Maybe he found this place before us and took cover inside.” Rainbow gave Fluttershy assurances, and I hoped myself that he was alright. “Do you want us to split up and look for him?” “Good idea Big Mac. This place seems pretty big. We should cover the downstairs first. Go check the east wing. If you find any clues, report back to me. Fluttershy and I will wait here for you.” “Roger that.” I nodded to both of them, and then made my way to the east double doors. “Big Mac?” I turned as Fluttershy spoke out. “Yeah?” “Be careful please.” She looked down at the ground, and I could tell she was about to start crying. “Don’t worry. I have this under control.” I smiled as she looked up at me. She nodded to me, and smiled as I slowly I opened the doors. “Hello? Big Macintosh of S.P.A.R.C, is anybody home?” No response. I proceeded to open the door, which revealed a large dining hall inside. The candles on the table were still lit, and dinnerware was set out, as if dinner was about to be served. I proceeded down one side of the table; the only sound was my hooves clopping to a rhythmic beat as I crept slowly down the dining hall towards a fire place at the end of it. The fire place was still lit, indicating further that residents had been here recently. The thing that worried me however was a red puddle in front of the fire place. Without hesitation, I darted over to the blood stain and began to examine it. Upon further examination, I managed to deduce that it was in fact pony blood. No doubt about it. Rainbow would need to know about this, but I wanted to do my own investigation real fast. The blood lead out in small drops to a door near me on the north side of the dining hall. Cautiously, I followed the small trickles of blood, and into a long hallway. This place was definitely big, and we would have plenty of time to investigate. Hopefully the residents were all right. I continued to follow the blood down the hallway to the left, and into a small sitting area. As I neared a corner into the sitting area, I heard a rather sick sounding munching noise, as if somepony were munching on a pound of meat. When I turned the corner, I saw a pony laying down on its stomach, eating something I couldn’t quite make out lying on the ground. I was about to speak up as it ripped violently upwards, accompanied by a loud ripping noise, and a fountain of blood raining out of whatever it had just ripped. Horrified, I looked down as the head of a pony; which I barely recognized as a member of Lunar Squad; roll away from its now lifeless corpse. More importantly, the cannibal pony began to look backwards at me. “Stay where you are. I’m placing you under arrest.” I went to reach for my gun with my mouth, and realized that I must have dropped it while we were running from the creatures outside. The pony before me stood, and turned around to reveal its horrifying face. The pony’s face appeared to be rotting; its face missing half of its skin; one of its eyes hanging out its socket. “What are you? Stay back!” It slowly began to shuffle towards me as it released a low groan from somewhere in its throat. All I had was a knife, and that was nowhere near enough to defend myself from this thing, so I did the only thing I could; run. I ran all the way back to the main hall, shutting all the doors behind me. Hopefully that thing wouldn’t be able to open the doors. “Rainbow, we have a prob-“I looked around at the now empty main hall. No sign of Rainbow or Fluttershy anywhere. Perhaps they decided to investigate the western wing? Yeah, that must be it. Finding them is my new goal, but first I would have to find something to defend myself with. That proved to be easier than I thought, as I noticed Fluttershy’s gun was lying on the ground. Even though she almost never used her weapon, it was unlike her to leave it behind. With Fluttershy’s gun in my mouth, I looked towards the left door, and then to the right. Which one would be the better choice? A room with a decayed cannibalistic pony or a room with the contents unknown. Only trial and error would give me the answer. Chapter 2 - A Doubtful FriendAs much as I hated to, I had to go back to the cannibal. Allowing him to be walking around with my team around would be a bad idea. Cautiously, I moved to the door and opened it carefully. Good; he didn’t follow me into the dining room. That also meant he might be lying in ambush in the hallway; I needed a strategy. My hoof steps echoed out once more as I moved cautiously as possible down the dining hall. Sneaking was just not for a pony my size, but hopefully there wasn’t anything besides the cannibal to hide from. When I neared the door, I heard a low moaning coming from inside the hallways, as well as what sounded like shuffling of hoofs. I took a deep breath, then slammed open the door; aiming my mouth gun at the cannibal. “Freeze cannibal!” Luckily I was a master at holding these weapons now, so my speech wasn’t even slurred anymore. Unfortunately, speech didn’t seem to matter to this freak; he continued to shuffle slowly towards me. “I said FREEZE!” My threats fell on deaf ears as he continued to shuffle towards me, moaning the whole time. “I’m going to tell you one more time before I open fire. Get. On. The. GROUND!” Unfortunately for him, he continued to shuffle slowly towards me. Before he could even blink, I fired off two shots into his chest. “I warned you to- The buck?!” I watched in horror as he simply stumbled forward, and continued shuffling towards me. What in Celestia’s name was this thing?! Not wanting that thing anywhere near me, I fired another three shots into its chest. This time however, it actually fell back. Unfortunately, I couldn’t tell if it was dead or not. Cautiously, I moved slowly towards it; keeping my aim on it. It wasn’t breathing, so I bent down carefully and felt for a pulse. A sigh of relief escaped my throat when I didn’t find one. That sigh went from a relieved one, to a gasp of terror as the “dead” pony stood up and started skulking towards me again. “Stay… Stay away from me!” I closed my eyes and shot randomly at it; as soon as I did, there was a sickening splattering noise, followed by a slumping noise as it hit the floor. My eyes opened to the sight of it lying on the floor; a bullet clean through its head, blowing through where its eye used to be. What the hell was that thing? “Humph. Looks like Pinkie’s stories of Zombie Ponies weren’t all pony tales.” My spirits lifted as I heard Rainbow’s voice. “Rainbow?! Where did you go? Where’s Fluttershy?” “Calm down. One of those Diamond Dogs broke in. Fluttershy and I made a run into the west wing. She was worried about you, so I came to find you. The gunshots made it easy; I feared the worst. Anyways, I think its best we split up and look for another way out of this castle. I still have contact with Fluttershy over the radio; does yours still work?” Now that I thought of it, there had been no noises coming from it. Sure enough, when I checked it, I found that the batteries had managed to fall out at some point. “Nope.” “I don’t have backup batteries, so it looks like you need to be extra careful. Just start looking for clues about what happened here, and a back exit. If you find anything, find us in the other wing. Oh, and try and avoid the upstairs if you can right now. Me and Fluttershy heard footsteps up there, and there is no telling if its survivors, or these Zombie Ponies. Got it?” She walked back and forth as she spoke, obviously she was anxious about something. “Eeyup.” “Good. Oh, and if you do managed to run into any of the bravo team, tell them the plan.” She started walking back to the main hall, then stopped. “And keep Fluttershy’s gun. We’ll get her a new one somewhere in this house.” The door closed as her voice echoed out down the empty hallway. I quickly found myself staring at the; what had Rainbow called it? Zombie Pony? Never once had I heard of them. Well anyways, I seemed to now be completely alone. Truthfully, I didn’t trust that zombie on the ground; it could still be “alive” for all I know. Somehow I was expecting it to stand up and walk towards me again. Luckily for me though, it seemed to be down for good. When I turned around and saw the sight of the pony that the zombie had been eating, I nearly threw up. He was completely unrecognizable, and the only reason I could tell it was a male was his barding. Every bit of his was chewed on, and the only thing still recognizable on him was his cutie mark. The cutie mark itself had a bit of blood on it, but I could still clearly see that is was a video camera. I sighed as I realized it was our Lunar Squad tech, Cam. I bent down next to his mutilated corpse and began to search through his belongings. The smell was horrible, but it payed off when I found two full clips of ammo. Also, in the camera he had with him, I managed to find a tape. Now I just needed a place to play it. Maybe it would give some insight as to what happened to the Bravo team. My thoughts were interrupted as I heard a loud crashing noise from out in the dining hall, causing me to jump. It sounded as if something heavy had fallen somewhere in there; I only hoped it wasn’t another one of those zombie ponies. Another crash sounded out, this time accompanied by muffled yelling. I quickly made my way to the door; gun in my mouth, and opened it to see a grey earth pony laying on the ground dusting himself off. The rubble around him indicated that he had fallen through the roof floor above. “You okay? I’m Big Macintosh, S.P.A.R.C, Celestial Squad.” He stood up, and began shaking the dust off of his coat. I couldn’t help but notice he seemed to be purposely covering his cutie mark. “Yeah, glad to see someone with experience is here! I was making a medical delivery to Canterlot, and my carriage crashed. I was near this place when a group of crazed diamond dogs attacked me, so I ran in here with those… Things.” “Looks like you and I are stuck here then. You want to learn how to use a gun real quick?” “Uhm… I guess. I don’t know how useful I’ll be. Are those things really dangerous enough to have to kill?” “Let’s just say you don’t want to see what it did to Cam in there. And technically… You wouldn’t be killing them.” He raised an eyebrow at me. “What do you mean?” “Let’s hope you don’t have to find out. Now do you want to learn how to use this thing or not?” He nodded half-heartedly to me. “I guess, If I have to.” “Okay. Wait here, I’ll go get Cam’s gun.” He nodded to me once more as I walked back into the room with the zombie pony, and Cam. Everything was the same, save for one detail; The zombie was gone, the hall empty of its body as well. The only trace that remained of it was a blood trail that lead to a door at the end of the hall. No way was I following it, so I simply went over Cam’s body and retrieved the gun from near his corpse. I said my final goodbyes to my fallen comrade, then made my way back to the dining hall once more. When I stood in front of him, and dropped the weapon, I could tell he was a little scared. “Is it hard to use?” “Not too hard. The hardest part is learning to talk while it’s in your mouth. Other than that, you’ll just need to know the basics.” “All right, let’s just get this over with.” I nodded to him, then walked over to him; extra gun in hand, and showed him how to use the gun properly. It was a little hard teaching a civilian how to use a gun, but I managed it in just ten minutes. Unfortunately, talking is something you just have to teach yourself. “An e et oin?” “What?” He leaned his head down and placed the gun in its holder located on his chest. “I said: Can we get going? I don’t want to stay in this place any longer than we have to.” “Sure. By the way, I didn’t catch your name.” He paused for a moment before he answered. There was either something fishy going on, or he just hit his head a little too hard on the fall. I hoped it was the second one. “Just call me Doctor Zentra.” “What type of name is that?” He gave me a expressionless stare. “Never mind. Anyways, we should get going.” “Agreed. I passed through this area on the way to the second floor. Follow me, I’ll get us upstairs.” As he walked ahead of me, I finally caught a glimpse of his cutie mark. He was obviously a doctor, but not a doctor in the normal sense. Right on his flank sat a image of DNA. Chapter 3 - Nightmare's beginningI didn’t trust him, and I knew quite well that he didn’t trust me. But if we were going to survive this thing, we would have to work together, like it or not. I tried to stop him as he entered the hall with my now deceased comrade, but he ignored me and entered anyways. I expected him to gasp or flee at the sight of a dead body, but he surprised me by doing something I didn’t expect. He did nothing, and instead just walked right on past. He led me down the hall to the door that the blood trail led to. Did he not see the blood trail? Or did he just think it was from my fallen team-mate? Whatever it was, I just hoped he knew how to use the gun enough to kill a zombie that was trying to have him as a midnight snack. “Here. This is the door. It’s the only way up to the second floor that is unlocked as far as I can tell. Then again, I haven’t quite been to the other wing. I’ll lead you back to where I fell through, and then you can lead from there.” “Sure, just don’t fall through the floor anymore.” He turned at me and gave me a stare as if he was mentally ripping me limb from limb. Obviously he wasn’t a very happy pony. I would have to be careful to not anger him. He started to open the door slowly, and as he did I looked through the opening to make sure it was clear. Fortunately, it was as far as I could tell, but the zombie could easily be right out of eyesight. We would have to be careful, lest we become the second and third course for the zombie pony. “Be ready to shoot. That thing can be anywhere, and it’s probably best to not let it get a taste of you.” He simply gave me a blank stare and a barely noticeable head nod, then walked in confidently. I was beginning to doubt that this pony was who he said he was, but I wasn’t about to say anything without proof. He quickly snapped his head back and forth before walking forward with more confidence than Princess Celestia on the day of the Summer Sun Celebration. With slight hesitation, I entered the room and looked around. Despite the lighting being off due to the candled littering the room not being lit, I was able to see enough to gather that this was a bar of sorts. On the north wall was a bar complete with multiple drinks that called out to me. Normally I wasn’t a drinker, but having the warmth of alcohol would be just what I needed right now. On the wall across, next to the bar, was a simple staircase that led up to the second floor. With my superior S.P.A.R.C training, I easily presumed that this staircase was our destination. With ever growing caution, I moved to the staircase. I eased up a tiny bit when my “partner” reached the stairs and glared impatiently at me. I began to pick up my pace when I heard a loud growl, followed by a shriek as the zombie pony from the hallway jumped down the stairs landing on Zentra. “Get it off me! Get it off!” I aimed right between the zombies eyes and pulled the trigger. Thankfully, my aiming was good enough to knock it off of the doctor, but the thing STILL wasn’t dead. “Oh for the love of…” I charged at it before it could get up and bucked it in the head with all my might. I wasn’t about to give it the chance to make a meal out of me, so I continued smashing the zombies head until it’s brains were of a consistency rivaling that of the finest quality mashed potatoes. “You really don’t like those things do you?” I began to try and shake the blood off of my hoofs as I replied to him. “Nope. Anything that wants to eat me isn’t exactly going to get a hug from me.” I stepped aside allowing him to walk by up the stairs. Needless to say, he was cautious this time, and with good reason. I avoided stepping in the mashed zombie again as I followed the doctor up the stairs. I looked back down the stairs once more just to be sure that the thing wasn’t going to jump up and start slinging brain matter at me. Luckily it seemed to finally be as dead as Rainbow’s jokes. And her jokes were pretty horrible. “Uhm… Big Mac? We might have a little problem.” I ascended to the top of the stairs as I responded. “What is it- HOLY MOTHER OF CELESTIA!” We both stood there wide eyed at the sight of multiple “dead” zombies lying on the ground; large bullets clean through each of their heads. In the middle of the group of slaughtered zombies, stood none other than good old Barry Blood-drop; his special made Lightning Phoenix in his mouth. “Hey Mac! You’re a little late to the party!” He lowered his head and placed the gun in its holster, then resumed talking to me. “Of course they didn’t stand a chance against my gun. Where’s Rainbow at?” “Other wing. She is having us split up and search for clues about what happened here, and a back exit. See any other ways out of here?” He closed his eyes as he thought. “Now that you mention it, there was a bridge that went into the mountain up on the fourth floor. But that’s all saw. All I’ve done since I got here was run around and “kill” these… Things. Anyways, you go on ahead, I’m going to go find rainbow and report in. My radio stopped working, so I can’t just call in.” “Okay, don’t become an appetizer alright?” He laughed and he walked past me; placing one hoof on my shoulder. Never understood how he did that, since I stood at least a couple inches taller than him. “Don’t worry about me. I can handle these things.” He started to go down the stairs before he stopped. “Oh, and I found this. I don’t know what it’s too, but I have a feeling it belongs to this wing.” He reached down to the pack that was on his chest and pulled out a small key, and threw it too me. With expert precision, I caught it in my mouth, careful not to swallow it. I dropped it into the open pack on my chest, then closed it. “Thanks, you ready to go Z-“I stopped and looked around when I noticed that my follower had disappeared. “Who you talking too? You’re not going crazy are you?” “No I… Don’t worry about me, just go report to Rainbow.” He gave me a questionable look and raised his eyebrow, then shook his head. “I never will understand you. Just don’t go trying to have a conversation with one of those things.” He began to descend the stairs. “They aren’t exactly the most talkative types.” “He gone?” I jumped a little as Zentra spoke up from behind me. I turned to see him peeking out from behind a painting, which served as a hidden door. “Why’d you hide? He’s on our side.” I walked towards him. “Sorry, I just don’t trust ponies.” He was looking at me, but it looked as if he were actually staring past me. “Always trying to steal my work; take credit for MY genius!” I backed away as he began to smile quite maniacally. “I’ll show them!” He released a creepily maniacal cackle as he fell out of the doorway. And he didn’t move. “Hey Doctor, you okay?” I put a hoof on his neck to feel for a pulse, and didn’t get one. I began to inspect his body to see what had caused his death. When I found a hypodermic needle jabbed into his stomach. It looked self inflicted, which worried me to extreme extents. But what worried me more was what was in the needle. There was a trace amount left inside the tube, and I didn’t recognize the substance. It wasn’t a color I had seen before in any medicines, and it most definitely wasn’t anything poisonous. My examination was cut short as the body began to move, and the skin on his hoofs began to shed away, revealing the muscle underneath. Naturally I backed away, and reached for my gun. My eyes went wide with terror as he slowly stood up, and the skin continued to rip away. What scared me the worst however was the fact that a blade shot out from his chest, and barbs began to sprout out around his hoofs. I began to slowly back away as two more bladed tentacle burst out of his sides, right where a Pegasus’s wings would normally be. “He” took a step slowly in my direction, and opened his eyes to reveal them to be bloodshot and now a reddish green color. I saw his mouth open as he spoke two simple words. “Must… Feed…”

Chapter 1 - Abandoned HopeCanterlot Mountain Forest, July 1998 Me and my comrades; members of an elite group of police officers called S.P.A.R.C were called out to the forest on the unoccupied side of the mountain on a rescue mission.
