1 A New World, a New Heart
I am Cypher Volcan. Originally I was an average human male from the year 2560, around 5'8", a little over 170lbs, a mechanical prostetic arm, nothing too far from the norm. I was studying for a masters in magitech and alchemy, but, one moment can change everything. One night I had decided to go with some of my friends for a bit of fun and drinking. Normally, I don't drink much, but, tonight I had a devil on my shoulder and I ended up blacking out.
I awoke the next morning to a massive migraine as the sun burned my vision and loud sounds blared in my ears. I opened my eyes and saw that, for some reason, I was in a forest. Thinking my friends had played a trick on me, I stood up slowly as I tried to figure out just where I was and how they had gotten me there in the first place. Hell, the nearest forest was nearly 200 miles away from where we were in the first place and there was a checkpoint in the middle. I shook my head and checked my pockets to see if I still had my magiplate. I found it quickly and chuckled a bit. "At least they left me with something," I said to myself.
Just as I pulled it out, I saw four female equine-like humanoids. I froze at first, as did they when they saw me. Things quickly changed as a large lion-like creature, I think it's a manticore, burst through the trees and let out a terrifying snarl. Its tail struck forth with great speed striking the larger of the equines while they were distracted by me. Without thinking I jumped forward and latched onto the manticore's tail ripping off the part that was dug into the purple female. The manticore shrieked loudly, growled in pain and ran off. I looked at the smaller ones and asked, "Can you understand me?" They quickly shook their heads up and down. "Who is the fastest of you?" I continued.
"Me," an orange one with small wings said quickly, obviously terrified.
"Ok, then get me..." I stopped myself for a short moment and changed my answer after seeing their cart. "I'm going to put her in this cart. Get her to someone who is good with detailed magic. Tell them that I am going to be coming soon and tell them what happened. Understood?" I continued. She shook her head yes and I looked to the other two and said, "Ok, now do not pull this out and keep pressure on it so that the wound doesn't bleed too much. Don't worry, I know this is terrifying, and that you don't know me, but, please trust me." I covered the wound up with a bandage that had pain relieving magic on it and poured a healing potion on the bandage.
"Sir... ahh... Thank you... ahh don't know what..." The yellow one started, her country accent coming through.
"Just go, we can get everything out later, know we need her to get healed and cleaned up. So, just go. I'll be there soon." I said cutting her off. They nodded once more and jumped in the cart as I lowered the larger one in the cart with their help. She twitched and groaned in pain, "Shh, it'll be fine," I said quietly. "Now, I have a tracker placed on her, so that I can find you all after I finish up here. Now off you go, as fast as you can ok?" I finished.
"Yes sir," the orange one stated. They rushed off and I looked around for some of the purple equine's blood that was still clean of toxins with my magiplate. It ended up beeping a few minutes later. I quickly collected the small amount and stored it in my magiplate.
'I really hope this is enough.' I thought to myself. I followed the tracker making my way through the forest quicker than I thought it would take. As I was seen by the equines their, I could see the confusion, but, I ignored it and followed the tracker to a very gaudy building. I walked in and immediately was bumrushed by the three I had seen before in the forest. They drug me to where the other one was being held. A white one that was slightly shorter than the purple one was keeping pressure on the wound as she was bawling her eyes out.
"Twilight, I know you can make it. Come on... I know this is like a paper cut for you.. Please come back..." The white one blubbered, makeup running down her face.
"Miss, I hope the girls told you that I'm here to help," I stated calmly as I took a step into the room.
"Get out! This is your fault!!" She screamed at me.
"I wish I could say that it wasn't... maybe if I hadn't have been there she wouldn't have been distracted." I answered quietly, "However, for Twilight to get through this I need to help her quickly." The younger ones looked at her and pleaded silently.
She nodded and backed off, gritting her teeth as she muttered, "You, had better make sure she gets through this." Her tone showing the unsaid threat. I nodded and got closer to Twilight. "Girls, you probably shouldn't see this," she said and got them out of the room. She closed the door and said cautiously as they left the building entirely, "this had better work, and I will be watching each step."
"I actually need your help with this," I answered her as I pulled out 2 obsidian shards and 5 amethyst gems from my magiplate. "Do you have a black diamond, roughly 5 carats? I asked."
She looked at me in confusion and answered slowly, "Yes?"
"Please get that while I keep pressure on the wound." I answer quickly. She darted off, still confused as to why I needed it. I pulled out 5 rose quartz gems, putting them right next to the other materials, and reapplied pressure.
She came out with the gem and said, "here now what?" I could feel the lack of trust in her tone.
I took out a spiral of mythral thread and the small amount of blood that I had found. I dipped the mythral in the blood and it absorbed some of it. "Please pour this, its the only amount of blood that wasn't toxic, onto the black diamond," I directed. She hesitated, but, did so in the end. "Hold pressure on the wound, please," I told her, she simply nodded and put her hands over the bandages. I quickly arranged the gems with the diamond in the middle, "we're going to switch now, I need you to weave the mythral through every gem starting with the diamond," she nodded and we quickly switched with me. "Tell me exactly when you..." I started, but, just as I was about to finish my statement she interjected.
"I'm finished," her answer was swift.
"Ok, bring it over here, this needs to be done as quickly as possible," I answered, she nodded and brought it over. I took out some adamantine thread and quartz crystal and set them down next to Twilight. I slowly removed the stinger from her chest and with it came her heart. I put the crystal next to her heart to start the purification process "quickly so that she doesn't lose too much blood," she looked scared, but, did what I asked, placing the gems within her body. We got lucky and her heart was purified quickly and I put her heart in her chest cavity. It swiftly swallowed up the black diamond and now was connected to the rest of the gems. I quickly sowed up her chest with the thread I had set out. We cleaned up the area as best we could using the gems that I had and I looked at the white equine, "I didn't have any antidotes with me, I'm sorry. All we can do now, is wait," I stated.
"Who are you and how did you get here?" The white one asked.
"I don't know how I got here. Hell, I don't even know where here is. My name is Cypher Volcan. Just call me Cypher. I really hope that what I have done works. I know it sounds as if that would be for my sake, but, truthfully I just wish for Twilight's safety." I answered her.
"Forgive me for not believing you. I am Rarity. Now I guess all we do is wait." she stated.
"Unfortunately, yes," I answered as she just looked at Twilight.
_________[Rarity POV]_________
The strange male, Cypher, sat in the chair, a look of fear and hope on his face, and I just looked at my friend while I was covered in her blood. Pain seeped into me as I started bawling once more. I had heard what Sweetie Belle and the other Cutie Mark Crusaders had said. I still blamed him, though, logically this couldn't have been his fault. I was so scared that I was going to lose a friend that my anger flowed towards him. Still he tried to help, I don't know how this works, but, he tried. These thoughts were plaguing my mind for a while as I watched her silently and that's when Twilight's new heart started beating and she took her first breath once more.
Twilight slowly opened her eyes and I started bawling once more. "Oh Faust, Twilight you made it." Rarity looked from Twilight to Cypher and said slowly, "I'm sorry I screamed at you like I did. I..."
Cypher cut her off and said, "there is no apology needed you thought you were going to lose a friend. I can understand how hard that can be for someone. Not to mention seeing the looks on your face while we were getting this done you didn't know what was being done in the first place. Now, Twilight are you feeling alright?"
Twilight looked very dizzy and started coughing harshly, "dry... Water..." was all she could get out before the pain overtook her.
"Ok, I understand. We'll get you to a hospital now so you can heal and they can take a look at you." He said to Twilight.
After I heard that I took my phone from my bra and called the hospital telling them what had happened to the best of my ability. I hung up the phone and we just waited. "You can take a shower if you want to. It's upstairs first door to the right." He just nodded and walked up, I could still see the fear in his face. It took around fifteen minutes for the hospital's vehicle to finally make it to my boutique. They ponies took her in and set her up on the machines, then closed the door and left. I was so worried about her. Around five minutes later I started to realize how much blood was all over me and I was sad that one of my favorite outfits, probably, needed to be thrown out. "Well, that's one outfit down the drain," I said.
"Well, we could just use one of the pure quartz gems that I have in my plate if you need it. You'd get to keep the outfit," Cypher said as he came down in new clothing. I took the time to actually look at him this time and I realized that he was decently well built, his left arm was mechanical, he had dark brown eyes, long brown hair and lightly tanned skin. I nodded and said, "I was so afraid... so afraid... I've known twilight for a long time now. Hell... mind my language... Our friendship was basically foretold... Almost destiny for our little group... We are known as the Elements of Harmony and each one of us represents one of those elements..." I simply looked down.
"Wait... was there... an actual prophecy about you and your friends?' Cypher asked.
I stopped and thought, "several actually."
"Oh.... shit..." he started, "damn, fuck, shit, fuck.... Son of a bitch!" He cursed.
"What's so bad that it requires that kind of language?" I asked, put out by his words.
"This was an alchemic ritual that links her soul to the new heart created by the gems and the fusion of her old heart. A prophecy connects those on the level of the soul so, things might end up happening to all of you... I am so...." He said rushing through the words. Then he quickly added on, "....so fuckin' stupid!"

2 Something Olde, Something Knew
_________(Cypher POV)_________
I put my face in my hands. "Not, even here an hour and I've already gotten someone killed, terrified children, and probably screwed all of the main cast," I said quietly to myself. "Great intro Cypher, now all I have to do is enrage royalty, and break the story!" I screamed at myself as I looked up and saw Rarity looking at me confused and scared. "Let's add scare a beautiful woman to that list. Fuck..." I started as I stood up and started to pace. "Sorry... this isn't something I thought about because, well, prophecies are few and far between where I come from. Hell, one every hundred thousand years is lucky. Sorry, I know you don't like my language." I finished.
"Cypher, I apologize, but, this really isn't my specialty. So, I truly understood little to nothing about what you said. Well, save one thing. Anyways, what do you mean that it might affect us?" Rarity stated.
However, before I could even try to answer her, I was tackled into the ground by a large white blur. All I heard was someone saying, "Tia, please stop. Sister this isn't right!"
"He fucking killed her! I know he did I felt her heart fade!!" the one apparently named Tia screamed in my face as she slammed the back of my head into the floor.
"Princess Celestia?!? What's going on?" I heard from Rarity.
'Check on enraging royalty,' I thought as my vision blurred. I got lucky though as the other princess in the room pulled her sister off of me.
"Sister, please at least let him talk," the dark princess stated, Princess Celestia shook in rage until her sister could calm her down. I just looked at them, the world foggy, until I felt Rarity start to help me up. "Now, you talk now," there was no break in this princess' tone.
There was no point in holding back. So, I took a breath and told them what had happened, luckily I had Rarity to back up my story. They quickly teleported out of the room and I would have dropped back to the floor again if Rarity hadn't been there to take me to the table, putting me on a chair. "Thank you, not only did you show them that what I said was correct, you also didn't allow me to fall to the floor. I am seriously indebted to you." I said as I stared at her.
"I am just as indebted to you, if not more, you brought one of my best friends back to life, and you saved my sister and her friends." Rarity countered.
"I hope everything will be alright after everything... Anyway's I have to find a place to be for now..." I said quietly.
"Darling you just have to stay here. We have a massive mess to clean up and you absolutely have to help." She quickly stated.
My eyes widened as I stared at her. I tried to get my mind in order for a moment and then said, "You... you... back where I was from... someone could get killed for offering up their residence. You... you... thank you with all of my heart." I felt an unknown and small pounding in my body.
_________(Rarity POV)_________
I looked upon Cypher and found that I didn't want him to leave I made a believable excuse, but, when I heard his answer I wanted more than just his company. I wanted to keep him safe, for him to keep me safe... and an unknown feeling within me.
We, took several hours to clean everything and both of us had caught one another staring, but neither of us said anything to each other. "Darling, I can show you where you'll be sleeping." I said to Cypher. He just nodded and walked up to me. I took him up to my room, as it was the only bedroom. He looked confused for a moment then he turned to me.
"This is the main bedroom, because I can't take your room." He said slowly.
I looked at him and said, "It's the only bedroom, I'll just sleep on the couch."
"I really can't let you do that, I'll take the couch." Cypher countered.
This argument lasted for around twenty minutes before it was decided that we would both be in the room and for some reason I was ecstatic. We waited for a while as the laundry continued its cycle. Finally I said to Cypher, "How long before Twilight will wake up?"
"That depends on several things, one being the prophecies connected to all of you, how many are connected to the prophecies, and her own power, are some that are accounted for," Cypher answered. "Her own power is very high, so that isn't a problem, the prophesies are many so that could be good or bad, and there are seven connected to those proph," he continued.
I cut him off with a question, "So no you are connected to them now?"
"No, I wasn't counting myself." He answered.
"But, there's only six of us?" I questioned. "unless... no that's so improbable."
He answered with, "So was me coming here at the right time and the right place." We heard a scream from outside and we ran out quickly, and what we saw was beyond strange.
_________(Cypher POV)_________
Right there in the middle of the town was another human, but, what happened in less than a minute was far more interesting. A bright red light blasted from the sky and shot out towards Rarity and several different other directions. Rarity said one thing in a quiet tone... "Mercy, the seventh Element of Harmony." A Pink Pony suddenly popped up out of nowhere and smiled as wide as she could.
The pink mare simply said, "Oooo another Element, and two new people! DOUBLE PARTY MADNESS!!" I saw the pink light shot towards her, then, she simply vanished. I was confused as the light disappeared and I walked towards the other human here. She was shaking heavily, her fear showing.
"Hey, how are you and what's your name. I know this is weird, hell, this is my first day here." I started then I realized that her technology told of someone from the early 2000's. "What was the year you're from?"
She looked at me and saw I was human and quietly answered, "Sunset Shimmer and 2013, actually." This is when I looked over to Rarity and raised an eyebrow and the setup was done. I was on the couch and they were in her room. Somehow I felt a bit disgruntled by that, but, knew it was the right thing to do.

3 Our Transformations, Our Transmutations
_________(Cypher POV)_________
I have been in this world for nearly two weeks now and Twilight Sparkle is still falling in and out of consciousness, but, she has been spending longer awake recently and has been told of Sunset Shimmer. Twilight seemed to know of her, but, she doesn't know this version of her. When I got a chance to ask she told me some of her memories from her times at Canterlot High. I was 'asked' by Princess Celestia not to talk to her about the connections to their prophecies and myself until she is out of the hospital.
I spent time walking around Ponyville and talking to its residents getting used to where I was and letting them get used to me. Rarity was getting along with Sunset Shimmer and was helping her with all her might. The young girls, that I now know call themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders or CMC, seem to have taken well to me sometimes trying to help me get my cutie mark as they say. Applebloom, one of the CMC, even brought me to the Apple Farm and they were so accepting. Thanking me for saving their family. However, there were many who looked at me as if I was unnatural and unwanted. A couple of posh fillies even threw rocks at me several times.
Pinkie, or Pinkamena Diane Pie, held back her party simply because she couldn't have all of her friends there, though anyone could see she was conflicted. I have, also, noticed that these ponies seem to use anypony instead of anyone or anybody. This euphemism confuses me and I find it highly exclusive, but, this is something bound to their civilization.
Now, I laid back on Rarity's couch looking up at the ceiling. There were many things going through my head I had read up on what had happened and other things connected to prophecies and the magic of friendship. I, honestly, would have just chalked it up to extreme emotions at the time of what was happening, if there wasn't so much evidence connecting it to the harmony of magic in this world.
Unbound, by the laws of magic I once knew, but, placed into a situational chaos that seemed that they would always come out on top. The creatures of this world always seemed to have some kind of answer for what needed to be done. To me it made absolutely no sense. However, I was far from what I knew and somehow my magic and alchemic processes still had meaning within this realm.
Rarity made her way down with Sunset in tow and found me in my thoughts. "Darling, what seems to be the matter," she asked.
"Just pondering on the essence and rules of the magic within this world. How, it simply acts completely different than the magic I am familiar with, but, I suppose that is what happens when you are no longer within your own realm," I answer her. I yawn and say, "basically, thinking too much." I stand up and make my way to the door. "Well, off to see Twilight and see if she's feeling any better," I finish.
"We'll go with you, as that's where we were going as well," Rarity stated.
"Yeah, I've actually become quite attached to Twilight and the conversations I have with her," Sunset said. I was glad that she wasn't completely lost and alone in this new world. Though, I was also glad that I wasn't either.
"Sure, do either of you need to grab anything?" I ask? They shook their heads no and we took off.
Around half way to the hospital we ended up with Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy walking with us. All of them dragged in by the one now leading the way, Pinkie Pie. I had asked her what made her do this and she said something about her Pinkie Sense... just one more thing to add to the confusing oddity that was the magic of this world.
Finally, we made it to the hospital and found Twilight as she walked away from the door. "How, did you know that I was being released today?" She asked.
I rolled my eyes, then, looked at hers, while I answered pointing at myself, Rarity and Sunset, "We didn't and were coming here anyways." I pointed at Pinkie as I continued, "she dragged everyone else into it, quite literally, saying something about her Pinkie Sense." Everyone laughed, then we made our way to Twilight's Golden Oaks Library.
When we went in the girls all hugged Twilight in a massive group hug. I put forth a sad smile, happy that it had worked out and had hope for the future, but, wondered if I had made the right choice. Now, neither Sunset nor I could return to our original worlds. We were bound here body and soul.
Sunset noticed that I wasn't in the group hug and exited it herself. She gave me a hug and said, "I know what you're thinking about. I need you to stop. I barely had anything, anyone, before coming here and now I have these beautiful girls, we have them. So, don't be sad about choices made. Just know that we are here now and we will help each other through everything."
Twilight walked up as well hugging me tight followed by the rest of the girls. I put my arms around them the best I could and Twilight gave me a peck on the cheek, then stated, "thank you for saving my life."
My heart pulsed and I felt the magics of this world and the magics of my world finally meshed. All of us quite literally floated up off the ground, as the girls surrounded Twilight and myself and a rainbow of colors blasted from all Sunset, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow, AJ and Pinkie. Twilight and myself began to spin slowly as white light pulsed between us. Time seemed to stop.
Rarity said, "Generosity to offer another pony a new chance at life."
Fluttershy said, "Kindness to truly care for the safety of those you didn't even know."
Rainbow said, "Loyalty to show that no matter what you will do your best to make sure nopony is left behind."
AJ said, "Honesty to be true to what you believe in no matter the consequences."
Pinkie said, "Laughter to truly care for the happiness of those around you."
Sunset said, "Empathy to understand what another is going through and truly care."
Twilight and I said, "Magic to care for those around you so much that life itself couldn't pull you and them apart. Bound by soul. Bound by heart. We are the Light. We are the Dark. We are Harmony. We are Magic. We are Ouroboros." Magic pulsed between us and... it simply ended and we all dropped to the floor.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna teleported in suddenly.
Celestia said, "we felt a large pulse of magic here and we have a very big problem."
Luna pulled out the Elements of Harmony and we saw that they had been shattered. "Right at the start of the magic, we were unsure of what was going on and thus went to grab the Elements for you. However, one by one we saw them shatter," She stated, worry obviously permeated her voice.
The silence was deafening and went on for several minutes until once more it felt like time stopped and once more we were no longer bound to the ground. This time though the shattered pieces of the Elements were swarming around us all.
Celestia said, "From Light we grant Passion, Optimism and Power."
Luna said, "From Shadows we grant Peace, Will and Vision."
Then they spoke together, "From the Dusk and the Dawn we grant Life."
The magic pulsed once more and blinded everyone for a short moment. My vision returned and what I saw completely floored me.
Sunset had been turned into a unicorn her fur was a light yellowish orange and her mane and tail were a mix of dark yellow and red, her clothes hadn't changed from the light aqua dress Rarity had given her, but, she now sported an Element of Harmony shaped like the sun one side yellow and one side red. This isn't what floored me though, what completely caught me off guard was Twilight.
Twilight now had irises shaped like a magenta eight pointed star. Her mane and tail were much longer, flowed slowly between the lighter and darker colors and burned like a lazy flame. Cool air pulsed from her as the shadows rippled around her. Finally, she had wings upon her back that were both feathered and draconic in nature.
Everyone was silent until Celestia asked, "what happened here."
"I... I... don't really know... I.... I think we created a living Philosophers Stone..." I said slowly, "Twilight, are you still... you?"
_________(Twilight POV)_________
I felt myself coming back and heard, something about a stone, then Cypher asked, "Twilight, are you still... you?"
I shook my head and answered, "of course I am..." Then, I realized that everypony was staring at me and that I felt something weird... I shook for a moment, dropped to my knees and evacuated everything inside of me, from every angle.
