This town wasn't so different from Ponyville in its social behavior: Every pony was friendly towards every pony else. The town thrived on its ability to be able to trust your neighbor with developments for your family. In fact, this town was such a closely tight nit community, that the thought that it would collapse was the furthest thing from reality. Or so it seemed. What was once a testament to what could happen if ponies set aside their differences, was now burning in the hot sun. The town was plagued with wildfires on such a daily basis, that they had taken preventative measures. Except for this one time. Because the once prosperous town had been abandoned for three whole weeks before the boiling sun caused one final wildfire to engulf the town. Standing on a hill, looking out towards this town, a lone green figure began walking away from this burning town. "They were all gone..." A female voice said as a narrator. "By the time I got back, they were all gone. No one was left." The green figure continued to travel away from this village. "I couldn't find any bodies, but if they were alive, they would've come back by now." The female voice said. "The only thing I can do for them now, is let the fires burn away the village." The fires continued to consume to town, which was now nothing but a speck behind the strange green figure. "I may not be able to give them proper funerals, but I can promise their spirits one thing..." The female voice said. Suddenly the camera panned across the green figure, and then stopped on the figure's yellow eyes, which soon became slitted in anger. "If I ever find the ones responsible for this, I will bring them to justice. Only then can their souls rest in peace." The scene faded to black around these eyes, and then even those faded away. Prologue: Part 2 - Rewind Space TimeWe all know the story of the show of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. We know how it plays out. We know how it ends. But the green dragoness from part 1 never really made an apperence did she? Well, that's about to change. Let us rewind the clock back. Back to the time of the Dragon Migration. Back to the events of "Dragon Quest". Back to when Spike was set to meet Garble. Because now instead of Garble, Spike is going to meet a different Dragon; or rather Dragoness. A very particular green Dragoness on a quest of revenge. A green dragoness, who Spike will find, he has a lot in common with. And one who will alter the cannon events to a large degree. Let us embrace this change. Let us see how this one green dragoness will effect the course of history... Time starts to tick backwards on the entire show; and as we see the events that lead to the defeat of the terrible trio being played in reverse, text pops up on the screen. Fimfiction presents... Then the events of Season 8 began to play in reverse. And then season 7... A creation by RobtheMorpherPony... Season 6...season 5... And protected by LeoKingdomProductions... Season 4...season 3... Inspired by a tweet from Lauran Faust... Finally, season 2 began to rewind, all the way into the start of "Dragon Quest"... WHAT IF EMZIKO WAS CANNON? End of Prologue... Arc 1: Seeking Justice; Act 1: The Green Dragoness - IntroductionArc One: Seeking Justice Act One: The Green Dragoness As a male narrator begins to speak, a picture of various dragons of various colors is being painted, with the end point painting a purple dragon next to a dragon wielding a sceptor that has a red gem on it. Like Ponies, dragons come in a verity of colors. Of all these colors, purple is the absolute rarest of them all, as only one purple colored dragon is born every ten generations. Purple Dragons are said to be revered in Dragon Culture, and are treated as upper class compered to every other dragon that isn't the current Dragon Lord. While it's common for these Purple Dragons to refuse a position of leadership, Dragon Lords have sought advice from Purple Dragons in the past. Then, a map of Equees suddenly shows up; with highlights going on as the narrator continues. In the era of where Celestia rules the Pony Population, the current dragon lord is known as Torch who has a daughter by the name of Ember; named after an ally to a Purple Dragon that existed long before even Queen Faust ruled the lands of Equestria. To this day, the Dragons are awaiting the sighting of the new Purple Dragon to grace the land, not knowing that one already exists. The current Purple Dragon is called Spike, and he lives in Ponyville as the assistant to Twilight Sparkle. He has lived his entire life, not knowing of his true nature. Much has already happened for the young dragon, and even before he was born. Luna; sister to Celestia; became Nightmare Moon. Celestia attempted to reason with her sister, but negotiations proved fruitless. The white alicorn had no choice but to use artifacts called "The Elements of Harmony" to banish her sister to the moon. It was only one thousand years later when Luna was saved by Twilight and her friends, that Luna stood to listen to reason. Of course, the second major event in this Purple Dragon's life was when Discord broke free of his prison, only for Twilight and her friends to imprison him in stone once more. Now as the dragon migration is about to take place, it will send Spike on a collision course with a dragoness who knows about the details surrounding The Purple Dragon. This Dragoness has her own agenda, for she is seeking justice for the ponies she came to like had been most likely killed by an unknown assailant. This dragoness is on a journey to find the ones responsible for destroying the village she comes from, and bring the culprits to justice. The hand of fate is about to bring these two unlikely dragons into a collision course, that will alter the course of known history... Arc 2: The Purple Dragon; Act 1: Blossoming Romance - IntroARC TWO: THE PURPLE DRAGON ACT ONE: BLOSSOMING ROMANCE As the usual male narrator began to speak, their voice was a little clearer now, and one could almost hear a draconic undertone to it. All the same, while he spoke, a painting that almost looked like it was painting several purple dragons; three of which looked near identical to each other; was being painted. "As stated before, there have been many Purple Dragons throughout history. Three of them have been incarnations of the same one, that one being named Spyro in each instance. But with this particular threesome, they each had different origins and backstories; as well as their own tales of heroism. One of them battled against the only evil Purple Dragon to ever exist, named Malafor. To prevent a second Malafor from ever coming into existance, the third version of Spyro changed the way the dragon culture worked, so that no Purple Dragon could turn evil again." Arc 2: The Purple Dragon; Act 2 - The Missing PurpleARC 2: THE PURPLE DRAGON ACT 2 - THE MISSING PURPLE As a new cave drawing was being painted, the male narrator talked over the process of making this painting once more. This painting showed one of the version of Spyro suddenly vanishing, before a lone egg was seen in Froggy Bottom; the same egg Spike was hatched from at the beginning of the show; and then a part of the painting showing that same egg being picked up in Celestia's magic. "The third incarnation of Spyro is a mysterious one. He was only around for a few weeks with his suppossed mate, and during this time, that Spyro is the one who set up the new system to prevent a new version of Malafor from ever coming to fruition. This Spyro's mate had actually had a single egg, which they left here to later be found by Princess Celestia..." The narrator said. "What Celestia would not realize, is that the parents of the egg she found would later come back to Equestria, and would be reunited not with an egg, but their son..." The narrator said. Suddenly, one could almost swear they saw a very adult version of spike illumated by the flames against a cave wall before the whole scene cut to black. Author's Note SURPRISE; CROSS-OVER PLOT TWIST! The Green Dragoness: Part 1 - Dragon Quest Do-OverWhen Spike learned of the Dragon Migration, he eagerly wanted to see what other dragons were like and discover his true nature. Twilight decided to let him go, though she knew deep down that dragons were not like him. Or so she thought. She had no idea that Spike would encounter a dragon who would end up being a great clue to Spike's true origins. Spike traveled on foot through the rough terrain. "I wonder if there are various dragon races like there are for ponies..." Spike said to himself. That's when he heard what he believed to be a carving sound and then a female voice. "Travel log, the dragon migration has happened. The good news, I know what dragon smell like, and it's not the same smell I smelled that time before." The voice said. "The bad news, still no information on what smelled like the smell I smelled. I refuse to give up. For the ponies who were lost, I will find the ones responsible. I swear it on my name." This dragon was raised amongst ponies too? That's a good thing then. Spike thought to himself as he moved closer to the source of the voice, quickly finding a green dragoness. As soon as he got close though, she suddenly sniffed the air. "...Whoever is there should come out now. I can smell you." She said. Spike saw no reason to hide from the dragoness, so he came out of hiding. When the green dragoness saw him, she gasped. Th-the Purple Dragon... she thought to herself. "Hey, I'm not here to harm you; I was just curious about something I couldn't help but overhear you say. You said you were raised by ponies, right?" Spike asked. "What of it?" The green dragoness asked, putting on a brave front. "What's that matter to you?" "Because, I'm the same way. I grew up around ponies too." Spike said. Now that's interesting... The green dragoness thought to herself. That's similar one of the previous Purple Dragons. "Err, forgive me for not introducing myself; my name is Spike." Spike said. "My name is Emziko. Or at least, that's the name I gave myself." Emziko said. "Never really knew my birth parents." "That's the same with me. Sure, I got adopted by some pony parents, but, I haven't met my birth parents yet." Spike said. Oh this one just gets way too similar to that one Purple Dragon. Emziko thought to herself. "Err, are you alright? That's the second time you've gone quiet on me." Spike said. "Sorry, my mind is just on some things." Emziko said. "Never thought of all the dragons I'd meet, I'd meet you." "Well, I suppose the feeling is mutual. So, where are you headed exactly?" Spike asked. "I don't really have a destination in mind; I'm just on the prowl for a certain smell." Emziko said. "Well, I am the adopted brother of a pony who might be able to help identify that smell. If your willing to come with me." Spike said. "I...I don't know. I'm unsure." Emziko said. "Are they a nice pony?" "She certainly is. And so are her friends and the rest of Ponyville." Spike said. "Heck, I'm sure you'd love the place." "That's...a nice offer, but..." Emziko really gave it away she was torn. "I'm just...not sure if I'm ready to adapt to a pony society again right now..." "Well, in that case, I know some pony else who might be willing to let you room with them. Except they aren't really a pony; their a zebra. But my adopted sis has learnt to trust said Zebra so, their pretty trustworthy." Spike said. "A Zebra?! You know a Zebra?! Gosh, that race is like the absolute penicle of knowledge most species don't have access to." Emziko said. "If you know a Zebra, I'm in for talking with her. So, lead the way Spike." Wow, she perked up rather quickly at the mention of a Zebra. Spike said. "Just ah, there's one thing: She lives in the Everfree Forest." "Oh that place? We'll be fine so long as there's a clear path to this Zebra's place. There is one, right?" Emziko asked. "There is actually." Spike asnwered. "Well then what are we waiting for? Let's get going right away." Emziko said. I have to be the luckiest girl alive: Not only have I met the current Purple Dragon, but he'll be able to help me let the ponies of that village rest in peace easily. As the duo started the journey back, they did come across a phoenix nest which they helped relocate for safty, and then headed forward towards the Everfree Forest. Little did either of them know, this meeting would end up affecting both their lives in ways they could've never prepared for. The Green Dragoness: Part 2 - Two Dragons and a ZebraThe journey was a little long, but the duo soon reached the Everfree Forest, and Spike managed to find the path that Zecora cleared out. "Whoa, why does she have Poison Joke at her hut?" Emziko said, as soon as they got to Zecora's hut. "It's probably to study it if I had to guess. Besides, she knows how to counter it's effects." Spike said. "...Actually I'd believe that." Emziko said. "Zebras are said to be the wisest of all the races after all." "I don't know about that. She only knows because she has a book that has the cure in it." Spike said. "Well, then it has to be a really rare book then." Emziko said. "Not really. My pony sister lives in a library that has the same book. It's just...initially she didn't think it held the answer to the poison joke issue." Spike said. "Wait, why would she think that?" Emziko asked. "Because the title of the book was 'Supernaturals: Natural Remedies and Cure-Alls That Are Simply Super' but she didn't read the full title." Spike said. "Geez, talk about one heck of an idiot ball." Emziko said. "Please don't blame my sister like that." Spike said, getting a little heated. Seeing that, Emziko decided to defuse the situation. "Sorry. I'm guessing she's a bit of a shut-in pony in that case." The green dragoness said. "Oh you have no idea." Spike said. "But for now, we go inside." "Well this is quite the sight for my eyes; two dragons in my home I spy." Zecora said. "Wh-what?" Emziko was suddenly a little wierded out. "I guess I should've warned you about Zecora's rhyming now that I think about it." Spike said. "Right..." Emziko said. "I was hoping you could help me. There's a specific smell I know about, and I'd like some help identifying it." "Guessing from the tone you are giving; perhaps there is a reason you should be sharing?" Zecora asked. "Uh..." Emziko was confused. "I think she means that you must have a reason for wanting to know about the smell." Spike said. "Right. There is a reason. It's personal though. I'm...not sure if I'm confortable sharing why." Emziko said. Even if I am in the presence of a Purple Dragon. "I shall prepare a few smells to see if you get a match; and I may just tell you what it is your trying to catch." Zecora said. "Wait, how do you know I want to catch the source of the smell?" Emziko said. "...Wow I can't believe I just got a rhyme..." "You did mention to me that you wanted to catch them at one point, but Zecora how did you know?" Spike asked. "It was clear from this dragoness's manner of speech, that she certainly isn't going to give the source a peach." Zecora said. "Uh..." Emziko was confused. "I got nothing this time." Spike said. "It seems whatever her reason is it's quite clear to me; that it is justice that she wants to see." Zecora said. "Jeez, I certainly don't remember reading anything about Zebras rhyming..." Emziko said. Zecora produced a few smells from around her hut, but each one was being struck out by Emziko. "No dice I'm afraid so far. Got any other smells?" Emziko asked. "I'm afraid there isn't any left on Zecora's shelves. Is there any ways you can help at all Zecora?" Spike asked. "Well, there is still one thing she could smell that is in my hut at this time; but it is one thing that is hard to put into a rhyme." Zecora said. "Well whatever it is, we have to try it right? I'd hate to have wasted the trip." Spike said. "Same here." Emziko said. Zecora guided Spike to her cabnet where she took out a specific vial that looked very green. "Hold up, is that green goo in that vial?" Emziko asked. "It is indeed specifically goo that is in this specific glass; but if you don't mind me asking--" Zecora started. "Can it with the rhymes for a minute there Zebra." Emziko said. "Is something wrong Emziko? Is there a reason why you ask if this is green goo?" Spike asked. "Whatever attacked the ponies I knew left behind a lot of green goo. I'd recognize it anywhere, and the stuff in that vial is just like what was left behind." Emziko said. "I feared as much..." Zecora decided not to rhyme for a change as she opened the cork up. "UGH!" Spike immediately held his nose. "WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT SMELL?! SMELLS LIKE BURNT COCKROACH." "UGH! OH YEAH, THAT IS MOST CERTAINLY THE STINK." Emziko reacted. "I'd recognize that smell anywhere." "And again, this is just as I feared then." Zecora again didn't rhyme as she corked the vial again, putting on her serious face as she brought out a few things and put them in her cauldron which started to swirl. "Do you know what causes that kind of smell?" Spike asked. "...Also, how on earth do I know what burnt cockroach smells like?" "It is a smell ingrained in the pshyche of all dragons I'm afraid and will not lie: For long ago the dragons had a terrifying enemy unlike any other that could fly." Zecora said. "I don't remember anything like that..." Emziko said. "Same here." Spike said. "It was way before today's time, just shortly after the world was made anew after it was breaking apart. Creatures that could deceive the naked eye by changing their shape, making friends turn on each other out of fear that the threat was stealing the face of their neighbor." Zecora said. "Wh-what kind of species can shape shift?" Emziko asked. "Many names they have been called by other races, but the real name for them brings fear to any dragon. For they used to be the natural predators of dragonkind, and wanted their land as their own." Zecora said. "The name of this shape changing race is very fitting: They are called Changelings." "Used to, what do you mean used to?" Emziko asked. "For that, a history lesson is in order..." Zecora said. Author's Note Zecora always gives me a headache to write. Seriously, what were the writers thinking making her rhyme all the darn time? Arc 1: Seeking Justice; Act 2: A Royal Wedding - IntroductionArc 1: Seeking Justice Act 2: A Royal Wedding As a male narrator spoke again, another painting was being painted, this time it was an image of dragons and changelings fighting each other, before at the end of the speech, it showed thousands of dead changelings. Just before the three pony tribes caused the Windigos to appear and start to freeze over their lands to the north, there was a vicious war that occurred between the dragons and the changelings. Tired of being hunted by the shapeshifting race, the dragons sought to win their freedom from the changelings in an all-out war. Eventually, the war came to a close when all but a single changeling hive was killed off, forcing the remaining changelings to go into hiding. To this day, that hive has yet to resurface and resume their operations of stealing love from the land, or so every dragon thought... A Royal Wedding: Part 1 - Backstory DumpThird Person P.O.V. Zecora had told the two dragons about the history between their kind and Changelings. "So then that last remaining hive are the ones who kidnapped all the ponies from the village I grew up near." Emziko said. That was when a knock occured on the door. "Zecora, are you busy right now?" A female voice asked. "That's Twilight." Spike said. "Spike, what are you doing out here? Oh never mind..." Twilight said, though her voice was slightly muffled being on the other side of Zecora's door. Spike let Twilight in, letting her meet Emziko in the process. "Huh. When I heard you'd go to the dragon migration, I didn't expect you to bring a different dragon back with you." Twilight stated. "Name's Emziko." Emziko said. "Can you back up for a moment though Emziko; what exactly did you mean the ponies at the village you grew up near was kidnapped?" Spike asked. Emziko looked a little perhensive, but decided to share her story anyways. Emziko's P.O.V. I was born near a pony village some ways away. These ponies were scared of me because I was a dragon. And because I was born alone, I had to grow up fending for myself. The pony village was in an area that was constantly in danger from wildfires, and all the houses within the village limits were fire proofed because of this. However, there was one pony family who lived on the outskirts of the village because they couldn't afford a place inside the village limits. One fateful day, their house got caught on fire from one of the wildfires, and seeing as they wouldn't have gotten out by themselves, I gladly helped them out. After all, dragons are able to swim in lava, so a fire like that was nothing to me. After I had saved the pony family, the village became a lot more accepting of me and what I was. While some fear remained, I worked hard to help the village out where I could. That allowed me privileges I didn't have before. Which included books all about dragons and what they were all about. Everything about them was in those books, and I memorized each and every line. One fateful day, the village was running low on the supplies they used to protect their houses form wildfires. Since a lot of ponies needed to be in the village to evacate any homes that caught on fire while protection supplies were low, I volunteered to go fetch additional supplies. I was given a sizable amount of bits to purchase these supplies, and then left the village. Third person P.O.V. "By the time I got back however, every last pony had gone mysteriously missing. Every house reeked of the smell of burnt cockroach. I wasn't sure why I knew that smell, but all I knew at that time was that the ponies I thought of as my family were all gone." Emziko said. "Everything I just told you happened two years ago." "So, when the dragon migration happened, you saw that as a chance to get a fresh start?" Spike asked. "Yeah. I was hoping I'd run into some creature who might give me a lead on the culprits. Didn't think I'd end up with an answer." Emziko said. "I feel very sorry for what you went through. I know Ponyville could never replace your old village, but I feel like you'd make a fine addition to the town." Twilight said. "Would they really accept me though?" Emziko asked. "Hey, I've lived there for a while now, so I doubt they'd react negativitly towards you. Besides, you don't seem like a mean dragon." Spike said. "I'm only mean towards those I deem worth being mean to. Ponies aren't really on that list unless some pony specifically is mean to me." Emziko said. "Besides, I'd really appreciate it if you were around more often. While we do have an idea on the creatures that kidnapped all those ponies, you have no idea where they are right now. I'd say until you know more, you decided to start over." Spike said. So...this is why Dragon Lords always looked to Purple Dragons for advice... Emziko thought to herself. "Yeah. Because I wouldn't know what do to with myself after I brought those culprits to justice. I don't know if the ponies that were kidnapped are even still alive at this point, but regardless, for their sake, I will find the culprits responsible." The green dragoness said aloud. "Until then...perhaps getting a fresh start properly wouldn't be such a bad idea..." Author's Note I created an original backstory for Emziko for the purpose of this fic. What do you think? Did I do good? A Royal Wedding: Part 2 - First Day in Ponyville Part 1Since it was rather late, Twilight had insisted that Emziko stay the night at the Library with her and Spike; which the green dragoness agreed to. "Dang, this is a lot of books." Emziko said. "Hoo" Owlicious hooted. "An owl...why am I not surprised?" Emziko said. "Hoo" Owlicious hooted again. "You who, that's who~" Emziko teased. "Hoo" Owlicious Teased. "Name's Emziko." Emziko said. "What's your name, owl?" "That's Owlicious." Spike said. "Hoo" Owlicious hooted. "You who, that's who~" Emziko teased again. "Uh...what are you doing?" Twilight asked Emziko. "Having fun with the owl." Emziko said. "Hoo" Owlicious hooted. "You who, that's who~" Emziko teased more. "This is fun~" "As amusing as this is for you to actually be having fun with Owlicious, don't forget how late it is." Twilight said. "Yeah yeah." Emziko said. "Lucky for me, I brought some blankets I could use as a make-shift bed. Suddenly Twilight brought out a spare bed. "...You sure you don't want an actual bed?" Twilight asked. "You have one?" Emziko asked. "That's Twilight for you. And trust me, your going to be seeing much more tomorrow." Spike said. "I'll be certain to show you around. If you want, that is." "Seeing as I'll be here making a fresh start, that would be nice." Emziko said. The next day, Emziko woke up quite early. Twilight was still asleep, though Spike was no where to be seen. "Tch, tell a girl your going to be her guide and--" She was interrupted when she could smell something cooking. "...Or you could be in the kitchen; wait what?" Emziko was a little confused but decided to check it out, and sure enough, Spike was cooking. "What are you doing?" "Making breakfast. Trust me, you do not want Twilight to be cooking breakfast. She cooked breakfast one time, and the taste would make you puke. I know I did." Spike said. "I believe that..." Emziko said. I have no reason to argue with a Purple Dragon anyways. As Spike was wrapping up making breakfast, Twilight was coming into the kitchen. "Bacon and eggs smell so good right now." Twilight said. "Gee, you look a little tired still." Emziko said. "Did you stay up late again last night?" Spike asked. "You know me so well, Spike." Twilight stated. "But I didn't stay up that late. Only an hour. I just wanted to see if there were any books on dragons here. There were not." "If it's information about dragons you want, I got both of you covered. The books I read back in the pony village I used to live nearby had a lot of information about Dragon Culture." She then looked at Spike. "Amongst other things..." "What are you looking at me for?" Spike asked. "Don't forget, you told me you were going to guide me around Ponyville." She bent over towards Spike as she spoke. "I'm sure you wouldn't want to let a lady down, now would you?" "Uh...I suppose not." Spike said. "We'll be back later Twilight." He and Emziko asked. "...Why do I get the feeling Emziko knows something that I don't?" Twilight asked no pony in particular. "Because she's really been trying to get in Spike's good graces. Makes me wonder why." "So, where are we off to first?" Emziko asked, who was gladly not too close to Spike, but close enough to follow close behind. It was enough to where no pony would guess they were some kind of couple. Which is what Emziko wanted for now. "Well--" Spike said as the duo came across Pinkie Pie. "Oh hey Pinkie Pie." The pink pony in question suddenly gasped before she rushed off. "...Now THAT was strange." Emziko stated. "...We'll meet up with her again later. Don't worry about that." Spike said as the duo entered Sugar Cube Corner. "Oh dear, Pinkie Pie's going to need her usual order." Mr. Cake said. "Seems so." Mrs. Cake said. "What? What usual order?" Emziko said. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. cake." Spike said. "Hello Spike. Whose your new friend?" Mr. Cake asked. "Call me Emziko." Emziko said. "You two are married?" "Been a thing for a while now, but yes. If you ever feel a craving for sweets, just come on by. You'll often see us or Pinkie Pie at the counter." Mrs. Cake said. Emziko suddenly leaned in on Mrs. Cake for a bit and gave her a big whiff. "Uh, what are you doing?" "...Huh. That's a very particular scent you got. I've only encountered that scent once before. Congratulations on the baby." Emziko said. "Wait, how did you know I was pregnant?!" Mrs. Cake asked. "I know what pregnant mares smell like. I hope you have a very healthy foal, Mrs. Cake." Emziko said. "Make that foals; we're expecting Twins." Mr. Cake said. "T-TWINS?!" At that, Emziko fainted. "...We'll see ourselves out." Spike said, and dragged the fainted Emziko out of the bakery. The tour had just started for Emziko, and already she had fainted. Spike couldn't help but worry about how she'd react to the rest of where the main six lived. Author's Note I couldn't resist the opening moments. It's my story, I'll do what I want~ A Royal Wedding Part 3 - First Day in Ponyville Part 2"What happened back there?" Spike asked Emziko when she finally came to. "Sorry, it's just...while I am excited to witness new foals coming into the world for like, the second time in my life; I never expected to witness the birth of twins in my lifetime. Then again, when your a dragon like us, that should've been expected..." Emziko said. That got Spike's attention. "What do you mean by that last sentence exactly?" He asked. "Don't you know that Dragons can live at least one thousand years at bare minimum? Average lifespan for a dragon is around two thousand five hundred years in fact." Emziko said. Spike suddenly went wide eyed. "That's...a very long time..." Spike said. "Though for some dragons, as they start hitting the big one thousand year mark, they start to take long naps that can span years if not decades." Emziko said. "But some have been recorded to never do that. Depends on the dragon." Emziko said. "Well, I'll still most likely outlive every pony I've come to know..." Spike said. "Hey, so long as you keep those memories close to your heart, you got nothing to worry about." Emziko said with a smile. "That does make me feel better; thanks Emziko." Spike said. "No problem. It'd be a real shame if you suddenly started going crazy because of that information." Emziko said. "What?" Spike suddenly was worried. "Oh I'm just teasing you~" Emziko quickly lied. "Let's focus on the tour for now." "Right. I think we should go to the Boutique store in town next." Spike said. "...There's a boutique store here?" Emziko asked; very curious. "...When you said this was a boutique store..." Emziko said as she and Spike stepped into Rarity's Boutique. "This was most certainly not the kind of place I imagined. But in a good way." Emziko said. "Oh, pardon me; who are you darling?" Rarity asked, turning away from working on a mannikin. "Call me Emziko. This all your work?" Emziko asked, as she looked over at some of the costumes. "Why yes it is, but--" Rarity started. "Well, that just makes everything more impressive. You got a real knack for this. I'd hate to see this kind of talent stifled." Emziko said. "Well, that's very nice of you to say, Emziko." Rarity said. She opened her mouth to speak again... "I'll have to so come by here some other time. Mind telling me your name. Only fair." Emziko said. "The name's Rarity, and--" Rarity again was interrupted. "Well it's very nice to meet you Rarity. I hope we'll get along like two peas in a pod later. Right now, I'm in the middle of being shown around Ponyville. Surely, you can understand the need to want to get that done as soon as possible." Emziko said. "Err...well...I suppose so..." Rarity decided to drop the line of thinking she was thinking as Spike and Emziko left. "Jeez, was it any more obvious that she's jealous that you're hanging around a female dragon?" Emziko asked. "Wait, she was being jealous about you being with me?" Spike asked. As if I didn't already have a reason to look away from Rarity enough as it was; if she's going to treat me like a possession, I don't really think there's any love there anymore. He thought to himself. "Yeah, the mannerism was all there. Be really glad I defused that situation quickly, because she may have escalated it if I hadn't." Emziko said. "Yeah, good on you for working that out. Nice to see you not wanting to pick a fight with any pony here." Spike said. "Yeah, could tell she would've gotten mean in a hurry if I didn't defuse the situation quickly. Hope you don't think of me any less for doing that." Emziko said. "Nah. If anything, it's Rarity I'm thinking less of right now." Spike said. "What's this about Rarity?" Rainbow Dash's voice rang out. "...Okay, who just said that?" Emziko asked then got a whiff of the air. "...Huh, that's wierd, I can't smell any new ponies nearby." Spike chuckled. "Look up." He said. Emziko did so, and spotted Rainbow Dash on a cloud. "Hiya." Rainbow Dash said. "Huh. So that explains the mysterious smell of clouds I've been smelling since Sugar Cube Corner..." Emziko said. "But...I didn't smell a pony smell with it. What the heck?" "So, Twilight informed me that there's a new dragon living in Ponyville. Guess that must be you. Name's Rainbow Dash." Rainbow Dash said. "I'm Emziko. You're an interesting pony, Rainbow Dash. Don't think I've ever seen a pegasus use a cloud to fly around before now..." "Oh this thing? I was using it for stealth." Rainbow Dash said before she quickly bursted the cloud. "Speaking of which, there seem to be a lot of clouds in the sky today. Wasn't the forcast calling for sunny?" Emziko asked. "Pssh, I can take care of that in ten seconds flat." Rainbow Dash said before she proceeded to do just that. That caused Emziko's jaw to drop cartoonishly. "Wh-whoa..." Emziko said a little meekly. "Mind blowing, I know. I really look forward to seeing you around, Emziko." Rainbow Dash said before speeding away. "...That...was a pegasus...like I've never seen before..." Emziko said slowly. "Well, we're not done with the tour yet." Spike said. Author's Note Had to split this tour into three parts. Also, if you were expecting the arc to start wrapping up anytime soon, well I have only one thing to say to you: EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED MOTHERCENSORED!!!!!!!!!!!! A Royal Wedding Part 4 - First Day in Ponyville Part 3"So wait, Rainbow Dash lives in a cloudhouse?" Emziko asked as Spike began leading her towards Ponyville's outskirts. "You'll probably see it floating around close to Ponyville if you look up. It's not hard to miss." Spike said, as he pointed to a nearby house in the sky that obviously had Rainbow Dash's color scheme to it. "...Huh. I'll be honest, I've never seen a cloud house before. The Pegasi from my old village; while they did fly around; they had houses on the ground." Emziko said. "...Come to think of it, the place never did receive much cloud cover." "How am I supposed to know when an unexpected breeze blows my house around?!" Rainbow Dash could be heard exclaiming. "...That is an admittedly fair point..." A female voice responded. "...What's going on at this farm?" Emziko asked. "Oh, looks like Applejack and Rainbow Dash are having a small fued. Again." Spike said. "They do this from time to time, but they are great friends." "Interesting..." Emziko said. I wonder if Rainbow Dash is one of those kinds of ponies; the ones who are only into the same sex. The two dragons found Rainbow Dash talking with a female earth pony and a male earth pony. "Oh hey Spike. Did you just catch that whole little tirrade AJ went on?" Rainbow Dash asked, looking embarrased. "I think we caught the end of it..." Spike said. "Yeah, some unexpected Breeze blew my house over where Big Mac was trying to plant stuff." Rainbow Dash said. "I hate it when unexpected breezes move my house..." "Big...Mac? Like, as in Big Macintosh?" Emziko asked. "Eeyep." The red earth pony said. "So, yer the new dragon Rainbow seems so gung ho about." Applejack said. "Yeah that's me. Name's Emziko. It's nice to meet you." Emziko said, extending a claw. ...Only to be shocked when Applejack started to hoof shake her so hard, she was being lifted off the ground. "Pleasure to meet you too; name's Applejack!" Applejack said. "That's um..." Emziko said as Applejack stopped. "That's some strength you've got there Applejack..." She added. "That's the second thing I've gotten shocked by today..." "...Beg yer pardon?" Applejack asked. "Sorry. It's just...I've never seen a Pegasus clear clouds within ten seconds flat, or encountered an earth pony with such upper body strength that they can pick up a dragon." Emziko said. "You sure you grew up around ponies before?" Spike asked. "I did. None of them were like Rainbow Dash or Applejack though. And I mean that in a good way." Emziko said. "I find the fact that Applejack here can pick up a dragon an impressive feat. Granted, I'm not all that grown, but it's an impressive feat none the less." "What are you talking about now?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Well, it's just that a dragon of my age wieghs in at around...I'd say two and half full grown mares." Emziko then looked at Big Mac. "...Or roughly one stallion that's Big Mac's size..." Applejack suddenly blushed a little in embarrassment. "Ah uh...ah honestly think Big Mac is much stronger then me. It's just he doesn't like to show off." Applejack said. "Also, you can just call me AJ if you'd like, Emziko." "Noted." Emziko said. "Plus, if you want odd, you should meet Fluttershy. I doubt you've met a Pegasus that's as quiet as her before." Rainbow Dash said. "...I already told her there'd be a new dragon coming, and that you were nice." "Wait, where'd you find the time to do that and still be here talking with AJ?" Emziko asked. "No time for that!" Pinkie Pie said, appearing behind Emziko and then placing a blinfold on her. "HEY; WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!" Emziko exclaimed. Pinkie Pie led the blindfolded Emziko back to the library, where the dragoness was met with a party. "Uh...what..." Emziko was confused. "Sorry I had to interrupt your little tour; but this couldn't wait. Especially because this is your 'Welcome to Ponyville' party!" Pinkie Pie said. "Right...I should've said this sooner: One of the rules here in Ponyville, is if your new, Pinkie Pie WILL throw you a party." Spike said. "But...but we met her for like, ten seconds if that!" Emziko said. "Well, I had to get this entire party organized! Took me ten minutes to do. Of course, I had to round up all the party guests, bake the cake, and make sure I had your name Right, Emziko." Pinkie Pie said. "Name's Pinkie Pie; nice to meet you." "...Wait, your telling me you did all that in just TEN MINUTES?!" Emziko was stunned even more. "One other rule about ponyville: Don't bother questioning the madness that is Pinkie Pie; you'll save yourself a headache." Spike said. "...Noted..." Emziko said. "Um...hi?" A yellow pegasus said, nervously. "Um...hello? Nice to meet you?" Emziko said. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Fluttershy." Fluttershy said, though she was doing it nervously. "...Not a social one are you? Eh, well, don't force it." Emziko said. Why are all of what I'm guessing are Spike's closest friends outside of Twilight so odd? "Oh um...thank you. No one's really ever said anything that nice to me before." Fluttershy said, now less nervous. "I'm glad I could help?" Emziko said. "Hey, don't forget there's a party going on!" Pinkie Pie said. "Right..." Emziko said. But the oddest duck by far, is Pinkie Pie. Wasn't she at the punch bowl like two seconds ago? For now, Emziko decided to just enjoy the party. But little did she now at the time, that her second day around these ponies, wouldn't be spent in Ponyville... A Royal Wedding Part 5: The Smell Strikes BackTo say that Emziko did not expect her encounter with Spike to end up with her meeting with Celestia who was one of the ruling princesses in Equestria alongside her sister Luna, well that was an understatement. But again, that just goes to show how Purple Dragons work. And Spike basically being a mail boy for one is something else. Emziko thought to herself. "So, any idea who this Princess Mi Amore Cadenza even is?" Spike asked. "I have no idea. I'm sure that she's been with my brother for long enough to consider marriage with him. That's not my main issue with this." Twilight said. "Oh really now, and just what is your main issue?" Emziko asked, trying not to hide the fact that she personally thought Twilight was just being jealous. "The fact that my brother waited until the very last moment to tell me; his own sister; that he was getting married." Twilight said. "...Okay actually, that is something you can get mad at." Emziko admitted; seems her thoughts about Twilight being jealous weren't fully founded. "I'd still very much like to meet this Mi Amore Cadenza. I didn't even know there were any new alicorns besides the three I do know." Twilight stated. "Well, that's--" Emziko suddenly caught what Twilight just said. "Wait, three? I thought there were only two because that's what Spike told me: Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." "Ah, right. Of course Spike wouldn't know about the third I know about. He never met her. I'm talking about my old foalsiter, Princess Cadence." Twilight said. "...You had a foalsighter?" Applejack asked. "You mean dragon siter for Spike right?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Nope; I mean for myself. We're also most likely going to run into my parents too because this is my brother getting married." Twilight said. "Oh...I guess that does make more sense then..." Rainbow Dash said. "So, there's three alicorn princesses that you know of?" Emziko asked. She then made a realization. "Are you absolutely sure you've never heard of a Mi Amore Cadenza before?" She then asked. "Trust me darling, news of a new alicorn princess would be hard to not be told about." Rarity said. "And no, I'm fairly sure that I haven't heard that name before." Twilight said. "Are you absolutely positive about that?" Emziko said, before she suddenly somehow had two cue cards one with "Cadenza" on it, and the other with "Cadence" on it. "Tell me, are you just that blind?" Emziko asked. "...What are you doing?" Spike asked. "Oh please, some pony tell me I am not the only one sees the similarity between 'Cadence' and 'Cadenza'." Emziko said. "...Wait, what's with the barrier?" Spike asked. "Not just that, the train's being stopped for some reason." Pinkie Pie said, and the train sure enough came to a stop moments later. "...How did she...never mind. Think about that later." Emziko said. Some royal guards scanned each and every one of the main six and the two dragons. They did clear them to go on ahead though. "Well that was wierd. Anyone have any idea what that's about?" Spike asked. "Your asking us?" Emziko asked. Either the tales about Purple Dragons was highly exaggerated or... "Wait, I think I figured out what Emziko was on about: Twilight, Mi Amore Cadenza is--" But Spike was interrupted once the train arrived at the station. Never mind... Emziko thought to herself, noticing Spike picked up on the name thing like she did. At the station, the group encountered Shining Armor. "Twily, it's so good to see you again." Shining Armor said. "Well, I know your busy as the guard captain, but did you really become so busy to not give me more of a heads up about getting married?!" Twilight exclaimed. "Well, honestly, I have zero excuse for that..." Shining Armor said. "Payback's going to be a bitch Shining, fair warning." Spike mumbled, having gone unheard by most. Emziko did hear Spike though. ...Purple Dragons can be scary if you get on their bad side. A lesson Shining Armor is going to learn the hard way. "But not only did you forget to tell me about your wedding, you forgot to tell me that you were even dating some pony I've never even met before!" Twilight said. "But you have met Cadenza before Twilight; it's Princess Cadence's full name." Shining Armor said. "FINALLY! Thank the purple some pony mentioned that." Emziko said. Shining Armor stared at Emziko. "...What's her deal?" Shining Armor asked. "We haven't been properly introduced, Mr. Shining Armor. Name's Emziko. Pleasure to meet you." Emziko said. "But what I'm on about, is that I figured it out pretty quickly how similar 'Cadenza' is to 'Cadence'. And Spike picked up on it too." She explained. At that, Twilight face hoofed. "...I have zero excuse for that..." Twilight said. "...You're not the only one. Faust that's so obvious now..." Rainbow Dash said. Spike couldn't help but notice what Emziko just said. What did she mean by 'thank the purple'? Spike thought to himself. "Speaking of the wedding, why were we checked by the royal guards? Security purposes?" Applejack asked. "Actually, it's because we got a tip that some changelings are planning to sabotage the wedding; but with the barrier up, they aren't getting in." Shining Armor said. Emziko suddenly was at attention. "...Did you just say changelings?" She asked. Then, the group was approached by a pink alicorn. "It's Cadence!" Twilight said. But, just as she got closer... "EW! WHAT SMELLS LIKE BURNT COCKROACH?!" Spike exclaimed, holding his nose. "OH GOD, IT'S THAT SMELL! BY THE DRAGON LORD, IT'S VERY STRONG!" Emziko practically yelled, also holding her nose. "O-oh my gosh, did I forget to shower. Um...can we catch up later?" Cadence asked Twilight. "Sure. Don't want to be smelling like burnt cockroach on your wedding day." Twilight said. "...Not that I can smell it, but apparently, the two dragons can." Candence did left. "Huh. I guess she must've accidently used the wrong shampoo maybe. Oh well. Hey Twilight, to make up for not telling you until the last minute, how about you become my best mare?" Shining Armor asked. "Well, that would be very appreciated. Thank you." Twilight said. Emziko then grabbed Twilight. "The eight of us will have a discussion about how the wedding is going to go; you got nothing to worry about with all of us on the job." Emziko said, but she winked at Spike. "Yeah. It's all eight of us. You got nothing to worry about." Spike assured his adopted brother. "See, I knew I made the right call." Shining Armor said and then left. "...Okay what was that about?" Twilight asked. "Remember how I was at Zecora's place? Well, there's a story behind the whole reason I was there." Emziko said. "Better sit tight, this is going to take a hot minute." Spike said. A Royal Wedding Part 6: Finding the real Cadence"So, let me get this straight: Apperently, dragons can smell changelings coming a mile away because they used to want all dragons dead like super long ago, and in the case this last remaining hive ever showed it's face again, all dragons know how they smell by birth, and they specifically smell like burnt cockroach." Rainbow Dash said. "How close am I?" "While that is a basic summery of what we just told you..." Spike began. "It's basically correct." Emziko said. "Okay. So, kind of a stupid question has just came into my mind..." Rainbow Dash said. "Stupid is kind of an ugly word so please--" Emziko began. "Can either of you smell burnt cockroach now that Cadence has left?" Rainbow Dash interrupted. Upon that, Emziko and Spike then realized something. "...Huh. Now that she mentions it..." Spike said. "So, that wasn't the real Cadence?" Twilight asked. "But she looked just like her..." "It's most likely one of the changelings. Given Cadence's status as an alicorn Princess, it's likely the queen of the hive." Emziko said. "But since we know she's not the real Cadence, we can use that to our advantage." "Err, how so?" Applejack asked. "I think I know: The six of you can distract the disguised changeling; make her think we're going along with the wedding. Meanwhile, Emziko and I can go find the real Cadence." Spike said. "Err...well...that's...actually a much better plan then I had in mind..." Emziko said. Once again, Spike showcases why Purple Dragons are in such high regard. "Well, the best part is, because that changeling; queen or not; used Cadence's face, you both know exactly what the real Cadence looks like." Twilight said. "So, the two dragons are going to go find the real Cadence." Applejack said. "Ah really don't like the fact that ah'm going to have to lie to the changeling's face..." "You're going to have to make that sacrifice AJ; these Changelings don't play by our typical rules." Rainbow Dash said. "...Point well made." Applejack said. "If that is the queen, then I can actually get justice for the ponies she had her changelings kidnap. If it's just some drone, they can be grilled into giving up the hive's location. Either way, that hive's queen is going to be facing the concequences of her actions." Emziko said. "Your not going to kill her though, right?" Twilight asked. "Nah. That's going to be up to Princess Celestia if the queen lives or dies. I think it'd be much more ironic that way." Emziko said. The entire main six blinked. "Remind me not to get on your bad side." Rainbow Dash said. The Main Six began to distract the fake Cadence with the wedding preperations. Meanwhile, Spike and Emziko somehow found their way into the caverns underneath Canterlot Castle. "I honestly didn't think this place was real. While I was staying with Celestia when I was just born, she told me that there were secret caverns underneath the castle. I honestly believed they were just some myth to scare me into being good, because I thought the dungeons were the lowest part of the castle." Spike said. He then looked up as he and Emziko searched for the real Cadence. "In fact, the dungeons are right above these very caverns." "Maybe you should suggest Celestia turn these caverns into part of the dungeon once we capture the changeling queen." Emziko said. "I don't know; part of me thinks that these caverns should remain a secret." Spike said. "How many folk would you say know about these caverns in the first place?" Emziko opened her mouth to counter, but then she realized that Spike was right. "...That's a surprisingly good point. I think the fact that the caverns aren't well known about is the reason why they work." The green dragoness admitted. "Is someone there?" A female voice asked. The two dragons found what appeared to be Princess Cadence. "Are you, Princess Cadence?" Spike asked. "Mmm...well, the good news is, she certainly doesn't smell like burnt cockroach. She still smells, just not like that." Emziko said. "I'd certainly say this is the real Princess Cadence." "Sorry, I've been trapped under here for a few days now. We've got to get to the wedding; the Changeling Queen has impersonated me, and plans to use my form to drain Shining Armor of both his strenth and his love." Cadence said. "So then the other Cadence we met was the queen disguised as you." Emziko said. Suddenly, she noticed a heavy smell. "Ugh...something else reeks down here." Nearby, was what seemed to be a strange yellow and blue bug-like creature with strange orange antlers. "Dragons...it had to be dragons. Not that that matters right now." He said. "Huh. You look strange. You don't smell of burnt cockroach like the changelings. What are you?" Emziko asked. "Actually, I am a changeling." The bug-like creature said. "The smell your probably familiar with for changelings though, is what happens when Changelings are starved for love." "So wait, then why do you smell so different?" Emziko was now very confused. "Because not all the changelings were killed in the war. Many hives fled to other regions of the world." The Changeling said. "It was there that we discovered that if we gave love instead of taking it, we'd no longer need it to survive. And when we did, we turned into more vibrently colored forms. To the point, where we would easily be mistaken for a bug-pony." "So...wait...there's good changelings and bad changelings now." Spike realized. "That must mean, that the changelings that smell like burnt cockroach are the bad ones." "Well, I guess if your not like the changeling hive that was left behind in Equestria, you got nothing to worry about." Emziko said. "The last changeling hive that exists in Equestria, is ruled by the very changeling that is responsible for that war happening in the first place." The Good changeling said. "Her name...is Queen Chrysalis." A Royal Wedding Part 7: Truth About Changelings"You better have a lot of reason to be accusing one individual for an entire war." Emziko said. "Would said reasoning be that Chrysalis managed to find a way to control other changeling royals, and thus their drones by extension be good enough reasoning for you?" The changeling with Cadence asked. "Wait, that's a thing?" Spike asked. "No changeling is sure how Chrysalis managed to gain control over other hive rulers. Or more accurately, no changeling wants to figure out how she did it." The Changeling said. "But all can agree on one thing: Her ability to manipulate so many hive rulers at once was stretched to it's limits when the war happened." "So, when the control started to weaver thanks to the war, the hive rulers who could remove themselves from this Chrysalis's clutches fled to other distant lands." Emziko reasoned. "Exactly. My own mother was one of those hive rulers in paricular." The changeling said. "Oh, so you're like a changeling prince then." Spike said. "Something like that; except for the fact that my mother died about three years ago." The Changeling Royal said. "Which technically makes me the current ruler of the hive." "What do you mean technically?" Emziko asked. "There hasn't been an outright changeling royal that has been male until me. Traditionally, all have been female." The King said. "Hey, if you find yourself a changeling gal you really like, to the point that she becomes your significant other, wouldn't that basically still follow tradition to a degree?" Spike asked. "That's...surprisingly insightful. Honestly, I never would've thought of that." The King said. And another example of how Spike is keeping up the reasons for why Purple Dragons are so revered. Emziko thought to herself. "Well, I suppose we can trust you for the time being. Make no mistake, if you do something sneaky, I'll make sure Celestia has your head for it." "Duly noted, even if that's unnecessary." The King said. "We've spent long enough. We need to go save the wedding." Spike said. "Agreed." Emziko said. Thankfully, the foursome managed to expose the fake cadence without much issue at all. Though the imposter turned out to be... "Queen Chrysalis..." The Changeling King said. The king was currently disguised as a normal earth pony for the time being. "So one of the ponies has heard of me. How interesting. I didn't think my name was that widespread." Queen Chrysalis said. While Emziko could barely stand the burnt cockroach smell coming from the queen, she did notice one other thing. No wonder the blame could fall so squarely on this queen's shoulders; there's some other smell here besides the typical burnt cockroach smell, and I know it too well... Emziko thought to herself. "IT WAS YOU! YOUR THE ONE THAT KIDNAPPED ALL THOSE PONIES!" "The fact that my cover got blown so easily by two dragons is ironic in a sense. Though, you'll have to be more specific." Queen Chrysalis said. "After all, I've had lots of ponies kidnapped and turned into dried husks over the years." "I'm talking about three years ago, when you raided an entire village out in a very heat heavy area of Equestria." Emziko said. "You must be talking about the village known for it's wildfires. Yes, that was me. They were so easy to kidnap. With how long ago that was, they are amongst the dried husks I mentioned before." Queen Chrysalis said. "You...you killed every last one of them..." Emziko said. "Technically, their still alive. They're just essentially vegetables now." Queen Chrysalis said. "You mean they're catatonic?!" Twilight exclaimed. "...What's catatonic?" Emziko asked. "It's a state where your alive, but your brain more or less has stopped sending any signals to the rest of your body. It's basically like a coma, but it's one you'll never awake from." Twilight said. "Th-that sounds like a fate worse then death..." Fluttershy said. "Effectively, that is a very true statement." Twilight said. "YOU...YOU FUCKING MONSTER!" Emziko was pratically enraged. But then, she had a thought. "Spike, you need to give this Changeling Queen her just deserts." "Wh-how?!" Spike asked. "If you do nothing, all your friends and this entire country are going to end up just like that village I came from. Do you want that?" Emziko asked. "No...no I don't..." Spike suddenly felt some kind of energy coursing through him. "I don't want that...this is not her place. Not her place..." "...Wait what's happening?" Celestia asked. "Wait, she's the one asking that?!" Queen Chryaslis exclaimed. "Not her place...not her land..." Spike was starting to grow to his Spikzilla form. "Uh...can someone tell me why this is happening outside of Spike being greedy?" Twilight asked. "I don't think this is dragon greed causing this..." Celestia said. "NOT HER PLACE...NOT HER LAND...SPIKE WILL NOT ALLOW!" Spike was suddenly his spikezilla form. "Spike's gone all Spikezilla again!" Pinkie Pie said. "Spikezilla? Really?" Emziko asked. "Too late, I'm totally spreading that name around~" Pinkie Pie said. "Oh...oh you've got to be kidding me..." Queen Chrysalis suddenly looked like she was sweeting bullets. "I should've realized what kind of dragon this one was..." "YOU NO TAKE LAND! YOU PAY FOR CRIMES! SPIKE MAKE YOU PAY!" Spike roared and then proceeded to easily beat Chrysalis up by repeatedly beating her to the ground swing style. "Since when could Spike do this?" Celestia asked. "This is kind of cathertic for me to watch~" Emziko said, eating popcorn. "Where'd you get that popcorn from?" Cadence asked. Emziko pointed to Pinkie Pie, who also had popcorn. "Where'd she get that from?" Celestia asked. "Don't ask." Practically the rest of the main six said. Eventually, Spike stopped and reverted to normal; breathing deeply. Chrysalis was still alive, but the fact she was after that was nothing shy of a miracle. "...Of...all...the dragons...why...did it have...to be a Purple..." Chrysalis said before she proceeded to pass out. "How...was I able to do that?" Spike asked, flexing his claws in front of his face. "And what did Chrysalis mean when she called Spike purple?" Rainbow Dash asked. "We can talk after the wedding; for now, I think things are looking up." Emziko said. A Royal Wedding: Part 8 - Seeking Justice"You knew something about Spike the entire time you've known him, didn't you?" Twilight asked. "You were able to somehow get him able to control that monsterous form of his." "I actually don't think he was in full control of it yet. That's probably going to take practice on his end." Emziko said. "I still want to know, how exactly I did that." Spike asked. "Do you honestly think your color's just for show? Of all the colors dragons can be, Purple is the rarest. To be exact, under normal circumstances, only one dragon is born colored purple once every ten generations." Emziko said. "So Spike is a rare once-in-a-blue-moon kind of dragon?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Essentially, yes. There has only been one time in dragon history that two Purple Dragons have existed at the same time, but that was because the first one turned evil. It's been the only time it's happened however." Emziko said. "Thank goodness for that." Spike said. "Doesn't mean it can't happen again though." Twilight noted. "Actually, the surviving Purple Dragon; the one that beat the evil one; put in a system that made it so that couldn't happen again." Emziko said. "Since then, Purple Dragons are kind of put in high regard in dragon society." "B-but I don't want to lead the dragons..." Spike said. "And that's not surprising: Purple Dragons take on more of an advisor role than anything else." Emziko said. "That's...surprisingly considering Spike is my assitant." Twilight said. "Yeah I noticed. Of course, being a Purple Dragon, Spike's got a ton of untapped magic going on inside him. That beastial form is just one possible power for a Purple Dragon." Emziko said. "Possible? You mean his arrange of skills is dependent on him, and him alone?" Celestia asked. "Basically. Every Purple Dragon has been different one way or another. Sure, some powers could be linked back to an previous Purple Dragon, but each one is still varied enough to be unique." Emziko said. "Wonder what else I got then..." Spike said. "Who knows? Honestly, I was taken a pure gamble that you would have a bestial form. If not that, then possibly some other power to put Chrysalis in her place." Emziko said. "Well, I'm just glad you thought of it. It's nice having you around, Emziko." Spike said. "You ain't rid of me just because I'm getting what I want in the end. Your going to need someone to teach you some other dragon stuff, and well, that's going to be me." Emziko said. "Better you then some other dragon I hardly know." Spike said. "Besides, I trust you." "What exactly do you mean, your getting what you want?" Celestia asked. "Justice of course." Emziko said. She noticed Chrysalis trying to sneak her way out of the room. "...And just where do you think your going?" "Meep..." Chrysalis said. The wedding between Shining Armor and Princess Cadence went forward as originally intended, but it was shortly afterwards that Chrysalis was put on trial for all her misdeeds, which the Changeling King who had been there detailed in full. The verdict; unsurprisingly; was guilty. For all her various crimes, she was to be given a life sentence with no chance of parol. What's more, she would be forced to wear an inhibitor ring. This would prevent her from doing any of her forbidden changeling magic. It may have seemed like a light punishment, but in truth, Celestia was forcing Chrysalis to die a slow and painful death alone. It was a fate worse then that she gave to her pony victims. As for the rest of Chrysalis's hive, those that were loyal to Chrysalis were also thrown in cells, but at the chageling hive. The Changelings who showed some mistrust over Chrysalis, were currently under the authority of the Changeling King who ratted Chrysalis out. Given everything, it was the most fitting punishment. After everything was over, everyone who attended the wedding, posed for a photo. The scene changed to show the photo being used as a reference to a painting that was now being finished. Just then, a male narrator began to speak. With the capture of Queen Chrysalis, the one responsible for so much death was now living out her sentence amongst the living. Spike would now have Emziko by his side as he began to unravel what it truly meant to be A Purple Dragon. The male narrator said. ARC ONE: SEEKING JUSTICE - END Blossoming Romance: Part 1 - SimilaritiesIt was now time for every pony to head back to Ponyville who came from Ponyville. The train ride was anything but quiet. "So, when you noticed my color, you knew what kind of dragon I was already." Spike said. "Not exactly. Color is one thing; your personality is another thing. Every dragon is different. Even me. Just because you've got some super special powers, doesn't really mean anything. Though it does make you important to dragon culture." Emziko said. "Besides, if I was interested in you for your power, then that wouldn't really be fair to you." "That's a good point; well made..." Spike stated. Even he had to admit, Emziko seemed to not be propping him up on a pedestal. "I may know a lot of dragon culture from reading, but I grew up outside of that influence. Same as you. Or did you forget about the village that got raided by Queen Chrysalis?" Emziko asked. "Been meaning to ask, do you know the name of the village you came from?" Twilight asked. "While I most certainly do, the village burnt to the ground three years ago just before I left. It was one of those wildfires that did it." Emziko said. "You did mention that the village suffered from wildfires a lot." Rainbow Dash said. "Yeah. The village didn't really have an assigned weather factory, and the cloud cover was practically non-existent. Did not help the village was separated from most of Equestria by a desert. It wasn't even past the border that leads to Kludgetown, it was just cut off from most of Equestria because of that desert." Emziko said. "The closest town to the village was Kludgetown believe it or not. That's where I was when Chrysalis did her whole 'kidnap the entire village' thing." "Speaking of, Twilight is there any chance the ponies that Chrysalis drained can be saved?" Spike asked. "Celestia's currently researching that, but so far, it doesn't look possible. Even if we could save them, we'd have to find them, and Faust knows how long that would take." Twilight said. "Well, I think that if we can't save them, they'll be able to rest in peace now knowing the one responsible has been brought to justice." Emziko said. "Still, don't think you're getting rid of me any time soon." "Well, it's nice to have you around for several reasons." Spike said. "Charmer~" Emziko leaned forward. "I look forward to seeing you a lot~" "Honestly, same here." Spike said, thought he seemed a little oblivious to Emziko's advancements. Wow, he really doesn't get romance does he? Oh but he'll learn. Boy how he'll learn~ Emziko thought to herself. Rarity was just listening in on the entire exchange, not saying a word. That dragon certainly does not stop for a second. The fact that she's paying so much attention to Spike is one thing, but the fact that she's flirting with him is another. I'll have to try and step up my game if I'm to stop Spike from ending up with her. She thought to herself. "By the way Rarity, you do not wear jealousy well; just saying." Emziko said offhandly. That made Rarity tumble out of her seat, a heavy blush on her face. "Wow, Emziko is good." Rainbow Dash said as the other main six ponies giggled at Rarity's little tumble. Some time later, the group arrived at Ponyville, and then went to Golden Oaks Library. "So, is there anything about Purple Dragons you can tell us, Emziko? Like, maybe some other powers? Or even their history?" Twilight said. "The powerset of Puprle Dragons is so vast, it'd take an entire day just to get through the entire list. History however, is going to be a little simplier to go over. Because then I can tell you about the three versions of Spyro." Emziko said. "Err, how can you have three versions of the same purple dragon?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Beats me. Somehow, someway, through some kind of magic means, Spyro was reincarnated three seperate times, in three seperate eras. No dragon historian; or any historian for that matter; has ever been able to figure out how it happened like that." Emziko said. "Must make Spyro pretty special then." Fluttershy said. "You don't know the half of it. The first incarnation of Spyro grew up around dragons, yet from a young age, he had to deal with several threats. There was this gnorc army, there was this tiny wizard dude who refused to die for some reason, there was this dragon hating sorcerer...I could go on, but you get the idea." Emziko said. "That's a lot of bad guys to fight where your young..." Rainbow Dash almost winced. "The second incarnation of Spyro was very different. That was when the only time a purple dragon went evil, causing the need for a brand-new purple dragon to be born so the evil one could be defeated. The evil one's name was Malafor." Emziko said. "You mentioned that Malafor is the reason a new system was put in place so a second evil Purple Dragon doesn't show up." Spike said. "Yeah, that's thanks to the third incarnation of Spyro. Which ties into the second. See, Malafor actually managed to cause the entire planet; this one we live on; to break apart. It's only because the second interation of Spyro sacrificed his life to restore the planet that it allowed the planet to still be here." Emziko said. "Not much is known about the third integration of Spyro beyond the new system to prevent a second evil Purple Dragon. Because just as he set up that system, he seemingly vanished into thin air. No historian has ever been able to see where he went after that." "That's kind of strange..." Twilight said. "The version of Spryo that vanished that is, not the planet breaking apart thing." "Speaking of the second interation of Spyro though, there's a lot of similarities between that Spyro and Spike here. Spike was adopted by Pony parents. That version of Spyro was adopted by a family of Dragonflies." Emziko said. "Let's just hope there's no evil purple dragon wondering around then..." Fluttershy said. "For once, I'm with Fluttershy on this one: The thought that the planet could get destroyed by a Purple Dragon is terrifying..." Rainbow Dash said. Meanwhile, a lone figure was looking over Ponyville. This figure bared a striking resemblance to a Raccon, but had some dog traits to it. This being was known as a Tanuki. "There can be no doubt in my mind..." The Tanuki said, voice clearly stating they are male. "This is the only Purple Dragon that exists in the world. Which means, for the sake of the ponies, he must be destroyed." The Tanuki said, and then began to walk off the hill. Elsewhere, above the skies of Ponyville, a strange portal opened up, and out flew two figures. Both looked purple, though one was more magenta then purple. No one saw them, let alone more clearly than that. And the portal closed behind them. Blossoming Romance: Part 2 - The Tanuki TaikunAuthor's Note Before it's brought up in the comments, I know that a common thing about Tanukis; outside of their mixed raccoon & dog features; is the very NSFW depiction of males and their rather large ball sacks. That is not going to be a thing for the character being brought up in this chapter. Nor will I ever bring this mention up outside of this A/N section. The only reason I'm even drawing attention to this here, is because Taikun is using magic to hide his privates. Hence why it's not being mentioned. Even if this story gets mature themes later on, I will NOT ever describe Taikun's ball sac in depth. I tend to do things that go against the norm with my OCs, and in the case of Taikun, making it so the fully fleshed out Tanuki OC I've made so far never has any mention of a large ballsac brought up, would be a subversion of the typical Tanuki depiction. Blossoming Romance: Part 2 - The Tanuki Taikun Spike and Emziko were currently with the main six at Ponyvile's park area, getting ready to enjoy a nice picnic, when suddenly, a strange wave of magic came out of nowhere, and pushed the main six away from the two dragons. "What the heck? Where did this come from?" Rainbow Dash asked. Suddenly the magic turned into a wall that despite her best efforts, not even Twilight could put a dent in. "Should we get assitance from Celestia?" Fluttershy asked. "Spike's on the other side of this wall; we won't get a message out unless we can get to the train to get to canterlot." Twilight said. "Don't bother asking that Alicorn." A male voice suddenly said. With a poof, a male Tanuki that was quite large suddenly appeared. "Or rather, you won't have the time to make the round trip." The Tanuki said. "Who in tartarus are you?" Spike asked. "Name's Taikun. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm what you would call a tanuki." The Tanuki said. "Funny, I thought Tanukis had--" Emziko started. "We don't talk about that." Taikun said before he used magic to knock Emziko out. "Hey, what'd you do that for?!" Spike exclaimed. "Don't worry, she's not dead. All I'm doing is making sure you don't cause any damage, Purple Dragon." Taikun said. "What are you talking about? Is this about the greed growth thing? It's taken care of." Spike said. "No, I'm not here for that." Taikun said. "I'm here to stop a vision I saw from coming true." "What sort of vision are you talking about?" Spike asked. "The vision showed all of Pony kind being torn assunder, forced back into the three seperate tribes and allowing distrust to cloud their judgement. I also saw a Purple Dragon flying away from Equestria." Taikun said. "From this vision, I concluded that the Purple Dragon is responsible for causing a rift between Ponykind once again, and thus, it will destroy Equestria as you know it. I cannot allow for this to occur." "I could never do that. Not to my friends." Spike said. "Sorry, but I've looked hard and wide across the world. You are the only purple dragon I've seen. I even already saw you, but seeing as how I couldn't find another Purple dragon out there in the world, the only conclusion is that you are going to cause Equestria's ruin." Taikun said. "That's not true!" Spike said. "Save your breath." Taikun said before launching more magic, which Spike dodged. Tanuki Demi-God Taikun Sai Ko Mar Spike was completely on the defensive, he didn't want to hurt this strange Tanuki that calls himself Taikun; hoping inaction would presuade him to rethink things. However, no matter what, Taikun was relentless. Twilight couldn't help but watch as Taikun launched blast after blast, hoping to trip Spike up somewhere. Spike's small size was working to his advantage, but for how long that advantage would last is the problem. Nevertheless, Spike's mindset was on trying to wear out Taikun so he would just give up. But little did the Purple Dragon know, this was no ordinary Tanuki, and that he had limitless staminia. Still, the Purple Dragon was convinced at some point, Taikun would just stop. But he wouldn't. And soon, a blast actually grazed Spike. It didn't kill him, but it did put his leg out of commision for a bit. Which would be long enough for Taikun. "Did you really think you could outlast a demi-god?" Taikun asked. "No matter, I refuse to let the likes of you live any further. I'll at least make sure your death is quick and painless." Suddenly, Emziko blocked the Tanuki. "No you don't! Your not going to touch this Purple Dragon." Emziko said. "Out of my way. I don't wish to kill you. You should've been out for longer then that." Taikun said. "No! I won't budge." Emziko said. "How typical..." Taikun said. That's enough Taikun. A booming voice suddenly said. Just then, a rift in the fabric of reality appeared. Do not be so rash as to act on so little information at this time. "Master Furio..." Taikun said. "With all due respect, what other conclusion is there to draw?" Think about it: There was not one point in which this Purple Dragon chose to attack you. If he was truely the one destined to cause ruin to Ponykind, then why was he so pacifistic towards you? The booming voice called out from the rift. There was a bit of silence for a while. "Very well sir. I'll withdraw from this fight." Taikun said. The tanuki demi-god then poofed away. "Err, thank you..." Emziko said. Don't celebrate quite so soon. If we find concrete evidence that the Purple Dragon known as Spike is going to be the one responsible for the ruin of Ponykind; then there will be no quarter given to him or you. The booming voice said before the rift suddenly closed and the magic wall that separated the main six from the two dragons went down. "...Why do I have the feeling that that was someone that would make Queen Faust look like a toddler in comparison?" Twilight asked as a shiver went down her spine. Blossoming Romance: Part 3 - Heart's ReflectionSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Blossoming Romance: Part 4 - FeelingsIt was the day after the day when Pinkie Pie basically cloned herself a billion times. "Okay, is Pinkie Pie just always like that where she overlooks the most obvious consequence?" Emziko asked Spike. "Emziko, trying to make sense of anything Pinkie Pie does will most likely drive you insane." Spike said. "Something Twilight learnt the hard way when she tried." Emziko blinked. "What are you talking about?" "When Twilight tried to study Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense, she wound up getting severely hurt." Spike said. "I tried to tell her to just roll with it, but Twilight refused to believe something like that at face value." "See that, that kind of stuff is why it's not uncommon for Purple Dragons like you are considered high value." Emziko said. "Of course, to me, that comes second to the kind of being you are." "What do you mean by that?" Spike asked. "Isn't it obvious? I was a total stranger to you when we first met, and yet, you wanted to help me. Even after you helped me realize what was responsible for wiping out my old village, you wanted me to have a place to come back to when everything was said and done. Plus, you made such a convincing arguement out of it too." Emziko said. "I thought that's part of me being a Purple Dragon?" Spike asked. "Would you have even picked my orb from that test if you really thought your only relationship toward me was in regards to being a purple dragon?" Emziko asked. "That's a fair point. That test really had me to search deep. Truth be told, I've uh...I've really started to feel attracted to you. It's something different then what I was feeling towards Rarity however. I can almost feel this will be more than just some crush." Spike said, a bit of a blush on his face. "Hey, I won't blame you for thinking you had a thing for Rarity. Compared to ponies, we're still in our teenage years and that's at best." Emziko said. "There's also the fact that you may be able to help with some of my dragon side so I don't accidentally get greed growth again." Spike said. "The whole thing where dragons grow to monsterous sizes if they get super mega greedy? Yeah that's a thing only certain blood lines of dragon can undergo. I'm thankfully not one of those." Emziko said. "Lucky me...of course somehow I'd get the blood that can undergo that sort of metamorphis." Spike said. "Thankfully, you can combat that with a hoard of some kind. Not a big one, just something to have on the side. Even before I realized I couldn't undergo that greed transformation, I was having my own little hoard of books." Emziko said. "Sadly, they were burnt away in the wildfire that claimed my old village. Most of them anyways." "Wait, you have some of those books still?" Twilight suddenly perked up from reading one of her own books. "Yep. Though, it's nothing I haven't already been telling you about, as it's mostly just dragon culture and history." Emziko said. "Still, I'd love to see them." Twilight said. "Sure, knock yourself out." Emziko said before pulling a bunch of books in a bag out of hammerspace and giving them to Twilight who caught them in her magic. "So many new books!" Twilight said, before she went to reading them. "Way to go Emziko; now Twilight's going to be up all night reading again..." Spike said. "Eh?" Emziko asked. "When Twilight gets engrossed in her reading, she tends to stay up all night, and when she does get sleep after, she ends up falling asleep until the next afternoon." Spike said. Emziko looked like she would have her ears droop if Dragons even had the same kind of ears as most creatures. Still, the facial expression gave it away as well as how her spines suddenly sagged just before she slammed her head on the table. "What have I done?" Emziko asked. "Also, what is with Twilight and her pony friends having some kind of quirk?!" "Beats me." Spike said. "The only pony who I haven't really seen a quirk for is Applejack. Even Rainbow has her own quirk of basically boasting non-stop." Emziko said. "Oh, you weren't around for when Applejack almost worked herself to death harvesting Sweet Apple Acre's entire orchard of apple trees all by herself and was refusing help due to being that stubborn." Spike said. "AND YOU HAD TO TELL ME ABOUT THAT?! I guess no being; not even ponies; can be normal..." Emziko said. "If you ask me, that just makes it less boring." Spike said. "Besides, it's never too dull in Ponyville." "I suppose I can't argue with that..." Emziko said. "I only wish I knew who my parents were." Spike said. "Hey, I don't know who my parents are either, but I honestly don't let it bother me." Emziko said. "Well, it's just...Celestia once told me, she found my egg in Froggy Bottom Bog after dealing with a Hyrdra." Spike said. "Huh...with my egg, from what I was told, it was left on the outskirts of the village that I tend to bring up with a note saying 'Please look after our little Emziko'." Emziko said. "I later found out why: Somehow, those dragons were found dead after being hunted by something. Not sure if it was Queen Chrysalis's doing or not, but I wouldn't put it past her to do it." "Well, at least you know the fate of your parents. I only wish I knew the fate of my own, if for nothing else then simple closure..." Spike said. "I guess I can understand wanting closure at the least..." Emziko said. Little did either know, Spike's parents were already searching for his egg. The Missing Purple: Part 1 - Return of the third SpyroThe mysterious purple dragon that had come through the portal in the sky, soon landed in Foggy Bottom Bog with the violet dragoness that had accompanied him. The two seemed to be looking for something. "Have you found it yet?" The purple dragon asked. "Not yet. Think we've looked everywhere in this area." The violet dragon said. "Can't you just...I don't know...use those psychic powers of yours to see where it is?" The purple dragon asked. "I can try...I've honestly never tried them in this dimension." The violet dragon said. That's when the two were found by the hydra. It was glaring at them. "Oh hi Dynal. How's things?" The purple dragon asked. "What are you doing back? And by the Sceptor, where have you been?" The hydra asked. "Was figuring out how to make sure the portal between dimensions could be opened whenever so it wouldn't have to be just sometimes." The purple dragon said. "Portal? I have no idea what you're talking about about some portal..." The hydra; apparently called Dynal; said. "It's nothing for you to worry about. Just know, I won't have to be away for months on end anymore." The purple dragon said. "That's good, because the dragon society could use you. After all, in my eyes, it's really gotten hectic ever since you vanished." Dynal said. "Well, I'm here now. By the way, you wouldn't have happened to stumble upon a dragon egg around here, would you?" The purple dragon asked. Dynal looked in thought for a period of time. If...if I don't tell him the truth...his mate will have my heads for breakfast... the hydra thought to himself. "I do remember some years ago that the white alicorn; Celestia I believe her name is; took an egg from here." "Wait, years? By the skylands, are you telling me I spent longer than I thought I did fixing the portal..." The purple dragon said. "How many years has it even been then?" The violet dragon asked. "I'd say since you were last here Spyro...around eighteen years; give or take a month or two." Dynal said. "Gah...better go find this Celestia then." The purple dragon; now known as Spyro; said. "She better have answers." The violet dragon said. "Don't be too hostile towards her would you, Lady Cynder." Dynal said. "She's been trying to maintain peace in the boarders of Equestria for centuries now." "Yeah, try not to give off a bad impression, Cynder." Spyro said. "Fine, but only because you're so insistent." The violet dragon; known as Cynder; said. The two dragons then flew off. "Hmm...I wonder if that one dragon kid I saw was theirs? I mean, it was purple. Wish I had gotten a better look at it..." Dynal said. A royal guard suddenly burst into the audience chamber, interrupting Celestia's meeting with some of the nobles. "Princess Celestia; dragons have been spotted flying towards Canterlot Castle!" The Royal Guard said. "Wh-what?!" Celestia exclaimed. "Since when has a dragon ever decided to do that?!" "Wh-what should we do, your highness?" A more decorated royal guard asked. This particular royal guard was Captain Shining Armor, Twilight's brother. "Let's remain calm. How far are the dragons from the castle?" Celestia asked. Before the royal guard who had interrupted the meeting could answer, suddenly coming through an open window were two dragons: one purple, the other violet. The violet dragon was a dragoness. "Are you the one they call Celestia?" The violet dragoness asked. "I am." Celestia said, putting on her best intimidating face. She was confused when the purple dragon suddenly calmed the Violet dragoness down with a few back pets. "We only want to know if you found a purple egg in Foggy Bottom Bog." The purple dragon said. "I did. Why do you ask?" Celestia asked. "Ah. Then, could you tell us if it had hatched at some point?" The purple dragon asked. "It was hatched yes." Celestia said. "But before I say any more, please tell me your names." "The violet dragoness before you is my mate Cynder." The purple dragon said. "And my name, is Spyro." He added. "Sp-spyro?!" Celestia suddenly gasped out. I-it can't be... She thought to herself. The missing purple dragon...the third Spyro... "So, where is the child that was born from that egg?" Spyro asked. "...Shining Armor, please escort the nobles out of the audience chamber. I have some...private matters to discuss with these two." Celestia said. "Of course your highness..." Shining Armor said before doing just that. It took an hour, but soon only Celestia, Spyro, and Cynder were in the audience chamber. "Did this really have to be hush hush?" Spyro asked. "...Do you promise to listen to everything I say before you jump to any conclusions?" Celestia asked. "Only because if I don't, my mate won't be happy otherwise." Cynder said. "Fine. Then I'll tell you what has become of the egg and the child within..." Celestia said. The Missing Purple: Part 2 - Empire's returnIt had taken some time for Celestia to explain the entire story to Spyro and Cynder, but nevertheless, she was done. "So, if you have any questions, now would be the time to ask them." Celestia said. "There's only one I can think of: Why would you use the egg as a test in the first place?" Cynder asked. "Because no unicorn should've ever been able to hatch the egg; dragon eggs in this world are very resistant to magic. It'd have to take an alicorn such as myself to hatch it. I honestly was not prepared for what happened with Twilight." Celestia said. "The test was meant to see how a unicorn would handle failure." "And yet, because of that magic surge, Twilight Sparkle did the impossible." Cynder said. "Be calm Cynder. I'm pretty sure this would be one of those 'once in a lifetime' kind of things." Spyro said. "In all honesty, I can say that you're not too far off Spyro. The fact that Twilight had so much magic built up inside of her..." Celestia had to pause. "...It actually makes the most powerful unicorn; even beating out my own mentor of Starswirl the Bearded were he around today." "Oh him. Yeah, I remember him." Spyro said. "So, did he die since I've been gone?" "That's just the thing...one day he just poofed out of existence. And not in a 'he died' sort of way either. Around one thousand years ago, Starswirl just vanished with little more than a letter saying he was leaving Equestria to my sister and I." Celestia said. "Well, I'm sure his remains have to be somewhere. Old coot probably laid low to dodge all the fans his books probably brought after he basically went poof." Cynder said. "There is such a thing as living off the grid." That's when Shining Armor and Cadence suddenly burst into the audience chamber. "Has the audience chamber doors suddenly become revolving or something?" "Sorry for the interruption, it's just that scouts have reported something in regards to the crystal empire returning; whatever that is." Shining Armor said. "...Then it has returned..." Celestia said as she trotted over to a nearby window. "I feared for the day the Crystal Empire would return." "What do you mean? What's at the Crystal Empire?" Cadence asked. "Cadence, I wasn't fully honest with you when I adopted you as my niece. I had done so, because I figured out quickly that you had to be the daughter of Princess Mi Amore; the original ruler of the Crystal Empire." Celestia said. "Original ruler? What's that supposed to mean?" Cynder asked. "One day, a dark creature whose species is referred to as an Umbrum took the shape of a unicorn. That Umbrum's name was King Sombra; and he turned Princess Amore into crystal before breaking her apart. He then proceeded to scatter her remains to the far reaches of the world, and then usurped the throne." Celestia explained. "So, you're saying that the Crystal Empire is Princess Cadence's birthright?" Spyro asked. "Wait, what about the pieces of my mother?" Cadence asked. "The royal guard did the best they could, but we could only recover a few pieces. There's no where near enough to even attempt to restore her." Celestia said. "Ouch; talk about thorough." Cynder said. "This King Sombra guy is making my father look nice." "But not Strykor..." Spyro mumbled too soft for anyone to hear since it was Shining Armor who said something that quickly brought attention away from Spyro. "So, what do you want us to do about it?" Shining Armor asked. "You and Cadence will have to go to the empire and defend it. I will send Twilight and her friends shortly after." Celestia admitted. "You'll have to take the train station to the frozen north station, and go to the empire from there." "Understood!" Shining Armor said then left with Cadence. "Guess that means the ruinion with our son is going to have to wait." Spyro said. "Actually, I won't stop you from also assisting. Just...please, don't try to reveal to Spike you are his parents quite yet. I don't know if the drake can handle it. Especially while he's still learning about being a Purple Dragon." Celestia said. "That's understandable. Wonder how he learnt about the Purple Dragon thing." Cynder said. "Oh, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough." Celestia said. "There's something you're not telling us is there?" Cynder asked. "Can't an alicorn whose ruled for over a thousand years have a little fun?" Celestia asked. "Oh...have it your way. It does make things more fun~" Cynder said. "Yeah, this could be interesting." Spyro said. He and his mate then flew off to follow the train station to the Frozen North. The Missing Purple: Part 3 - Mystery of the Umbrum Part 1A few days later, Twilight would be told to go to the Crystal Empire to help Cadence defeat King Sombra. Later, the Main Six was boarding the train with Spike & Emziko in tow. However, when they reached the train station at the frozen north, they encountered a strange anubian jackal holding a staff with books floating around his head; obviously using some kind of magic to do the later. "Whoa, whose the guy floating the books?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'll ask him." Twilight said before she approuched the jackal creature. "Tell me something ponies, do you believe everything your told at face value?" The creature asked. "...What?" Twilight was geniually confussed. The creature was turned around; not facing her. "Verbal communication; and thus, word of mouth; is such an unreliable source of information. And not all written material can be considered the best way to record things either, since that material can often be destroyed, or rewritten." The creature said before he turned around. "Forgive me for not introducing myself right away. I am known as The Jackal; I am the guardian of the Universal Library; a Library that exists between the living world and the afterlife." "Err, okay..." Twilight said. "I am--" "Twilight Sparkle. Which makes your friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity. The two dragons with you are named Spike and Emziko. Am I wrong?" The Jackal said. "Wh--how the--" Twilight was baffled. "The Universal Library has many tales that I love to read. Your individual stories have been the most telling." The Jackal said. "Wait, you mean you read about us in that library? How?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "The Universal Library contains several ongoing stories that are magically written whenever events take place. But something is happening to this current tale that is altering it beyond the scope of the universal library. I know not why this is going on, so I came to investigate." The Jackal said. "Back up though, what did you mean that not everything can be reliable?" Spike asked. "What I meant is that there are two sides to every story. Find the only existing statue of Princess Amore; the rest will be revealed from there." The Jackal said; then in a poof of magic he vanished. "Wonder what that's all about?" Emziko asked. "Don't know, but he clearly knows something we don't know." Spike said. "I don't know about any of you, but I want to find that statue." He then began to head towards the Crystal Empire. "Hey, I'll keep him company Twilight; you and your friends just focus on helping these Crystal Ponies as best you can." Emziko said and then went after Spike. Within the castle, Spike & Emziko found the statue that was talked about, and followed a hidden starcase to a lone room. It's sole occupent, a lone book. "...What are the odds?" Spike asked. "Of it being a book?" Emziko asked. "...Something tells me, this is no ordinary book though. I think this is someone's dairy." "Right...should've realized that it'd be sterotypical for a female to recognize a dairy." Spike said as he grabbed the book. "Hey, if that is a dairy, we'd be invading Princess Amore's privacy." Emziko said. "True, but it could also provide a hint as to where King Sombra hid the Crystal Heart." Spike said and opened the diary up. ~~To those that find this dairy, know that I never wished for what happened to happen. I didn't want it at first, but...the voices. They speak darkness to me.~~ I honestly don't ever remember coming into this world the natural way. My first memory was being found outside the empire, and the only thing I could say was my own name: Sombra. "...Wait, this isn't Princess Amore's dairy at all; this is Sombra's Dairy!" Spike said. "Well this is strange. What's with the barely legiable text in the opening here?" Emziko asked. "I can barely read it myself..." Spike said. The two dragons would spend time reading the journal. Author's Note I won't be going through the entire journal of King Sombra; just know that outside of this opening bit, the journal is written the same at it is in the comic. Speaking of that opening bit, yes the strike out part is meant to be illegible text. The Missing Purple: Part 4 - Mystery of the Umbrum Part 2Spike and Emziko managed to read all of Sombra's Diary, and with that information, found the door to the Umbrum realm. "I can't believe you have the bright idea to try and destroy the Umbrum that lie within that realm." Emziko said. "Sombra doesn't deserve to be the way he is. Something tells me, that this is the only way to save him." Spike said. "It's not too late to go join up with Twilight." Emziko stated. "Don't try and stop me." Spike said as he readied himself. The Umbrum hoard was very tough, tougher then Spike was truly prepared for, however, during the battle, he somehow managed to gain total control over his more monstrous size and use that to defeat the entire hoard. "I...I did it..." Spike said as he caught his breath while he shrunk down to normal size. "Woof..." Emziko said out of admiration. "We should probably get out of here now...." Spike said. "Take me with you." A unicorn mare said from right nearby. "Who are you?" Emziko asked. "I'm Radiant Hope." The mare said. "So, you came here to try and save Sombra too then?" Spike asked. "Something like that. The Umbra had tricked me..." Radiant Hope said. "But...did you say something about it having been a thousand years?" "Yeah, it's been a thousand years since Sombra made the empire vanish." Emziko said. "Oh..." Radient Hope said. "I guess time in this realm flows very differently when the door is closed. For me, it's been no more then a few weeks at most." "Huh..." Spike said and decided to get out of the realm with Radient Hope in tow. Sometime later, Twilight did manage to get the crystal heart to Cadence, and then even later, found out what Spike had done. "That would explain why Sombra's trap suddenly disintegrated around me..." Twilight said. "So, where's Radiant Hope now?" Spike looked behind him to find out that Radient Hope had somehow vanished. "...Your right, where did she go?" Spike asked. "She was right behind us when we left that Umbrum Realm..." Emziko said. Spike had a bit of a thought. "...I think she may be planning something. I won't exactly say what, but I have a good idea what." "Well, I'm sure she can handle herself." Emziko said. "Still, you defeated the entire Umbrum race. That's a feat even greater then mine..." Twilight said. "All hail Spike the brave and glorious!" The Crystal Ponies cheered. "Guess some drake's got a fan club now~" Emziko teased. "EMZIKO!" Spike shouted, blushing. "Well, this has to be the most exciting thing I've witnessed since I found the Universal Library." It was the Jackal who suddenly spoke. "Did you come to join in the festivities?" Twilight asked. "Like I mentioned before, something has caused the story of this particular universe to change in ways that have stopped it from being written at the Universal Library. Investigating the cause is why I am here." The Jackal said. "So, did you learn anything?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No. But I am going to go out and make a safe bet that you, Spike, will encounter the cause sooner or later." The Jackal said. "Me?" Spike asked. He did start thinking about what Taikun said, about the fall of pony civilization. "If you wouldn't mind, I would like to spar with you; to see if you will be capable of defeating this cause should the need arise." The Jackal Said. "Fine by me!" Spike said, readying himself. The Jackal smirked as the books that swirled around his head suddenly vanished, and he held the staff he held in his left paw behind him. "Fair warning, I don't plan on going easy on you, just because I believe you can be the way the cause is defeated." "I don't mind that one bit." Spike said. Seeker of Knowledge The Jackal The Jackal was true to his word: He was not going to go the slightest bit easy on Spike. He started off using strong guests of wind to keep Spike at a respectable distance. "What's the point of using strong guests like that? It's not an attacking action." Rainbow Dash said, barely being able to keep herself aloft with the strong winds. "I think this isn't about attacking; it's a defensive measure. The Jackal is using the high winds to keep Spike from getting to close." Twilight said, having to raise her voice slightly to talk over the strong winds. After a while, The Jackal switched to suddenly summoning physical attacking wind gusts that Spike had to quickly dodge. "I thought the wind couldn't be harmful; that's me told." Rainbow Dash said. "Hang in there Spike!" Emziko said. "Get him!" A Crystal Pony suddenly shouted. "Knock his socks off!" Another Crystal Pony shouted. "You can beat him, Spike the brave and glorious!" A third Crystal Pony said. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Spike could feel something new welling up inside him. At that moment, he unleashed it...as a super powerful laser that hit The Jackal at point blank range. Thankfully, The Jackal seemed to have lived through the unexpected attack, but he was still tossed away like a ragdoll. "Wh-whoa...did I do that?" Spike asked. "That's a new one on me..." Emziko said. "I've never heard of a Purple Dragon suddenly using a massive laser power like that before." "A-are you alirght?" Twilight said, rushing over to The Jackal. "I'm fine. I'm immortal, I can't be killed by such a conventional method such as a laser." The Jackal said. "At least...I think I can't. Whatever sort of laser that was, it pushed my immortality to it's limits." "Sorry about that; I don't know where that came from..." Spike said. "It seems your powers are still growing. I hope that if and when the time comes for you all to face the cause of the story being changed, your powers grow enough to stop the threat in it's tracks." The Jackal said before he suddenly vanished using the magic of his staff. "...What do you think could be the cause behind our story being changed?" Rainbow Dash asked. "More importantly, what do you think he means by that?" "I think we'll have to find out later." Twilight said, before she suddenly spotted Spyro and Cynder. "...We have two dragons to question." "I-is that...the missing third version of Spyro?!" Emziko exclaimed, not believing her eyes. Suddenly, a painting that was of Spike, Emziko, Spyro, Cynder, and the main six talking was being finished by what was obviously a very grown-up version of Spike. "It was then at that moment when Spike; or rather; I would learn of my true parentage, and finally be reunited with my parents." Future Spike said. "And yet more danger laid on the horizon, for more danger would soon come, but before that danger could occur, something miraculous would happen." Arc 2: The Purple Dragon THE END
Prologue: Part 1 - Let the Fires Burn (Dark Warning)Far away from what is known as Ponyville, once stood a town.
To prevent a second Malafor from ever coming into existance, the third version of Spyro changed the way the dragon culture worked, so that no Purple Dragon could turn evil again."
Arc 2: The Purple Dragon; Act 2 - The Missing PurpleARC 2: THE PURPLE DRAGON ACT 2 - THE MISSING PURPLE As a new cave drawing was being painted, the male narrator talked over the process of making this painting once more.
It's my story, I'll do what I want~
A Royal Wedding Part 3 - First Day in Ponyville Part 2"What happened back there?" Spike asked Emziko when she finally came to.
"Her name...is Queen Chrysalis."
A Royal Wedding Part 7: Truth About Changelings"You better have a lot of reason to be accusing one individual for an entire war." Emziko said.
ARC ONE: SEEKING JUSTICE - END
Blossoming Romance: Part 1 - SimilaritiesIt was now time for every pony to head back to Ponyville who came from Ponyville.
We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Blossoming Romance: Part 4 - FeelingsIt was the day after the day when Pinkie Pie basically cloned herself a billion times.
