The Perfect Birthday Present

Thanks to my friend Rose, who got me the toy that inspired this idea!
"Are you excited?"
I was in front of the school doors now, facing the various buses of Fayetteville High. I walked with my girlfriend over to her respective bus, which just happened to be the last in line. Every day since September 18th I've been wallking out with her, making different small talk each day, such as how she'll style her hair tomorrow, or whether I should shave.
I nod. "With you there, my sixteenth should be a blast. Thanks for coming."
She shrugs. "I'll be there around four-thirty. See you then."
She extends her free arm and we embrace for a short moment. We both then turn our heads toward one another and our lips touch for a split second.
"Bye," I wave, then turn back to get inside where it was warm.
The bell for the dismissal of the buses rings, and I peer out the side window watching the first, containing two of my best friends, then the last, barely getting a glimpse of the blonde hair that belonged to my girlfriend. They slowly disappeared from my line of vision, and I turned away from the window looking forward to getting home; looking forward to her company as I open my presents that evening.
Quickly growing bored, I took a seat on a nearby bench and pulled out my PSP. Well, it's not my PSP... yet. An acquaintance loaned it to me, but I hope to buy it from him once I get some money. I scroll over to the music, pull out my headphones in my left pocket, and begin to listen to one of my favorite songs by Kamelot; Wings Of Despair.
It's been a little while since I've decided to listen to this particular track. Probably because something's wrong with my shuffle option. I'll look into it later, maybe.
Fifteen minutes or so later, the final bus rolls up. It's not a special bus or anything. It's just that the school decided to split the students into two separate runs, so that there'll be more room on the bus. Arguably, there's never enough room on the bus anyway.
The PSP was currently playing something by the band A Day To Remember. I've not heard the song long enough to know the name OR the lyrics, however... But it is a rather good love song, and I was slightly hesitant to shut the system off as I got up from my seat.
My mom and dad don't know I bring the PSP to school. They also don't know that I'm only borrowing it. I have to hide it in a special way to make sure they don't find it when I walk through my home doors.
Oddly enough, I need merely put it in my pocket.
Obviously, it's not that simple. (I heard you mentally scream, 'wtf?') I also wear a hoodie to school. Every day. Mostly because it's usually cold in the mornings, the other reason, so that I can tie the sleeves around my waist. The rest of the hoodie just dangles there from my side. When I wanna hide something, I have it covering my right pocket, and the item I wanna hide is either IN my right pocket, or in the belly pocket in the hoodie, which is slightly risky because it could fall out at any time.
However, I already have an item I need to keep in my pocket. At least the hoodie pocket, while I'm in school. Not that it embarresses me or anything, but my friend, Rose, already got me a birthday present, and, regarding where I go to school, could get me a bit of unwanted attention from some freak who wants to pick on me for it.
I remember exactly how she gave me the present, too...
"Here you go. Happy birthday!"
