After Cozy Glow had managed to escape from being captured and sent into Tartarus, Equestria quickly had to up its security to ensure that if she ever came back, she would be caught immediately, but not everypony wanted this, the loudest voice of them all was Flurry Heart. Flurry Heart was next in line for the throne to the Crystal Empire, but she felt as if she wasn't meant for the throne, she felt like there was some sort of separation between her and her family at the moment, especially with their differing views on the state of the security of Equestria. It certainly didn't help that she was staying in Canterlot to learn her duties as a princess. Eventually, she decided she had enough of her fate trapping her like this, and she left Canterlot and found solitude on a nearby beach, which is where she was found.
