Promising Change

I have been wanting to write back home for a while and Aunt and Uncle Orange agree that it would be good for me and so I began to write to my family

Dear Granny Smith, Big Macintosh, and Applejack,

Ah wonder how yer doing. Ah’ve been doing good in Manehattean so far. I decided to work for the local newspaper. Ahm really passionate about it and I'm glad I found something I really love to do. I’m proud to announce that I’ve made a friend. Her name is Gleaming Jem. She's a filly with a yellow coat, a dark red mane and tail, and pale yellow eyes. She’s really into fashion like Rarity and is very good with things like sewing and Gems. She also loves southern style fashion with our simple fashions. So I’ve been teaching her about our culture which was fun and I’ve been learning of Manehattean fashion which is really cool. I love the fancy styles a lot as well as the music. We both work for the local school newspaper but wish to get stories out. Don’t worry the stories ain’t anything like the mistakes the girls and I made. Speaking of which, Sweetie Belle’s been doing fine. She went into the local school choir and the local school theater. We still hang out and she’s a friend of Gleaming Jem too. I’m just glad that I’ve been able to use this second chance we’ve been blessed with to make better decisions than the selfish ones we’ve made in the past.

Apple Bloom

Dear Apple Bloom,

The farms are doing well. We just got the harvest done for fall. We’ve made all sorts of pies, tarts, and caramel apples. Which reminds us we packaged some for you to enjoy and make sure you share with the family. We’re glad yer doing well with your work at that school newspaper. We know what you did was wrong, but we all make mistakes. We can't wait until you come home for the apple family reunion.

I was a little sad that Applejack didn’t really look into the letter cause I want to make things right with her, but I know it will take some time.
