It's been three weeks since the CHS Fall Formal. Sunset Shimmer, the most notorious queen bee in the school's history, has been dethroned and the once-divided student body has begun to heal. No longer are students broken into cliques; old and new friendships alike have risen from the ashes of Sunset's reign of terror.

Not all is well in the Canterlot metropolis, however. Since the formal, mysterious creatures known only as the Smash have been showing up, going on rampages throughout the city. But for the presence of Canterlogic Securities' Guardian combat robots, there would be no repelling these monsters. Questions remain in the wake of these attacks—where did the Smash come from, and where did they go when defeated?

Tangled up in it all is Nebula Moonlight, a late transfer to CHS. Much like the Smash, her life seemingly began the night of the Fall Formal, and she was left grasping for answers about who she really was. The only clues she has are the words of her mysterious benefactor, and a strange device that allows her to transform. "If you want to know who you really are, take up the mantle of the Kamen Rider, solve the mystery of Project Re:Build, and stop the Smash at the source."

Science and magic collide, and Canterlot is on a collision course for disaster unless Nebula and her new allies can solve the mystery and stop the threat once and for all.
