It's Time for Schadenfreude
Bezel comes to understand. . . Chikn Nuggit SPOILERS!
"Isn't this fun! You can do anything you want! It's YOUR destiny after all!" Bezel cheered happily as reality warped all around him. The Doomsday Clock was in his glory as the whole world ended around him.
Nearby, the seven eyed Demigod of Chaos stared into mangled spacetime and said, "I could, couldn't I? Make everything how I want it."
"Oh yes!" the clock-headed being said with a nod.
"Could make you how I want it too. . ."
"Huh?" Bezel said as he glanced at the demigod.
Chikn simply raised a paw, and instantly Bezel fell and writhed in agony as he screamed. It was all over in an instant, and he stood up shakily and completely transformed.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Bezel shrieked as he stepped forward on stubby legs, now a purple bear cub with a bowtie. He looked at his arms and shouted, "WHA-WHAT IS THIS!? FLESH?!"
As Bezel shrieked and broke down before him, Chikn merely shrugged and said, "Now you're cute. . .Like the rest of us. . . Everything must be cute. . . Everything must be nice. . ."
As Chikn turned and floated away, Bezel shrieked after him, "IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS!"
"YYYYYEEEESSSS! AH-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA!"
Bezel turned to see Discord sitting in a movie theater chair with a box of popcorn next to him. The Spirit of Chaos was laughing up a storm, practically glowing with glee.
"Oh, that Chikn!" Discord said as he wiped a tear of joy away with his lion paw, "He's a little Lord of Chaos after my own heart!"
"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!" Bezel shouted back.
"Of course it's funny!" Discord declares as he stood up. Several more Discords dressed in reporter's outfits stepped out from behind him, and they all encircled Bezel and snapped countless photos of him.
"STOP IT! STOOOOPPPP!" Bezel shrieked as he tried to cover himself with his stubby arms.
The Discord reporters vanished, and the real Discord flipped through a stack of photos and grinned. "Oh, just think of the merchandise! Posters! Calendars! Oooh! Marketable plushies!"
An avalanche of plushies modeled after Bezel's bear cub form fell out of the sky and buried Bezel. He quickly clawed his way out and said, "Who do you think you are! What gives you the right to kick a guy while he's down?!"
"GAG!" Discord hacked out in disgust, "Are you trying to play the morality card on me? After all that boasting you did about how Chikn was goin to destroy the world, and how you, the oh so important Doomsday Clock was going to revel in it? It's called karma. You had it coming, Bearzel. Why shouldn't I take pleasure in your humiliating comeuppance?"
Discord snapped his talons, and an enormous can of bear spray appeared in the sky and aimed itself right at Bezel. "I would be completely justified in really making you suffer right now," Discord said darkly.
Bezel fell on his knees and pleaded tearfully, "Please. . . please. . ."
"Oh, relax," Discord said, and he snapped his talons again and the bear spray vanished, "I'm only going easy on you because seeing you get played so hard makes me feel better about how I got played by Tirek. Seriously, how did you not see this coming? At least Tirek was actually cunning and at least convinced me we had a deal. I'm surprised Chikn didn't turn you into something a long time ago."
Discord sighed and said, "Well, I tried to warn you, but you didn't listen. Oh well? I guess some people just have to learn the hard way. Toodles!"
Discord turned away from Bezel, and he shouted, "Wait! You can't just leave! Aren't you supposed to be a good guy? You have to help fix this!"
Discord scoffed, "How? Like you told me before, I have no power in this dimension. I can only observe."
"You IDIOT!" Bezel shrieked, "You literally used a bunch of chaos magic a few seconds ago! Chikn warped reality enough for you to exist here and work your magic!"
Discord paused, and he rubbed his chin in thought. "Well, well, well, you're right about that. I guess that means that now I can say. . ."
Discord's neck stretched out, and he put his face close to Bezel's face and said in a mocking sing-song voice, "I won't help you! Pffffft!"
Discord's raspberry sent spit all over Bezel's shocked furry face. "WHAT!? But you-!"
Discord's neck snapped back to his normal length, and he opened a door in space and stepped through it. "It's your mess! You clean it up, Bearzel!" Discord called back before slamming the "door" closed, leaving no trace of him behind.
"DISCORD! COME BACK! DISCORD!"
Fluttershy had a worried look on her face as she stirred her tea. "Oh my. Are you sure you shouldn't try to do something?" she asked, "I mean, Bezel might be awful, but what about everyone else in that world? And I also feel bad for Chikn. He doesn't know what he's doing."
Discord laid back in his chair and said, "I can't just solve everyone's problems for them, Fluttershy. And besides, you can't fight chaos with chaos. What Chikn needs to quell his chaos is harmony. I'm pretty sure I would know that more than anything, don't you think?"
Fluttershy thought for a moment, then she said, "Well, maybe you could send me and our friends there?"
Discord raised an eyebrow and said, "I do not recall the Cutie Map sending you girls there."
"Yes, but-."
"And besides, Chikn already has friends," Discord said with certainty.
"But do you think they can actually help him?" Fluttershy asked worriedly.
Discord rested his chin in his lion paw and said warmly, "Listen, Fluttershy. I've experienced the Magic of Friendship firsthand from you and the other five. I know what it feels like. Now, I've been watching Chikn's friends for a while. Admittedly, it's not as strong there as it is here. In fact, it was at it's weakest when Chikn lost himself in his power. But trust me when I say it has gotten stronger. They still care about him, and after a little soul searching and . . .ugh. . . talking about feelings, those cute fast food pun guys will be ready to bring Chikn back and save their world. If you little ponies could defeat me and reform me, than they can save Chikn no sweat."
Fluttershy's nerves were soothed for the time being. She took a sip of tea and smiled, "Okay, Discord. You can tell me all about how they save Chikn when it happens."
Discord relaxed in his chair and remarked "And if worse comes to worst, I'll take on Chikn as my apprentice and Harry can take care of Bearzel!"
