(Velvet Sentry was eating breakfast at a pond. She had a croissant wrapped in a cloth and lifted it to her motmuth. She was wondering about her old bestfriend, Sunlay Glimmer)

Vekvet Sentry- I've missed you Sunlay…ever since what happened.

(She began to remember the day that she and Sunlay split up)

(It was a normal day at the school of friendship, as usual, Velvet Sentry and Sunlay Glimmer were practicing their magic, showing off their special tricks)

Sunlay- I can make power orbs of magic!

(Her horn glowingn Sunlay created a largeorb of magic and threw it at a tree. As it hit it, the tree was absorbed in the ball and became a miniture version of itself)

Velvet- Hah! Thats nothing compared to this!

(Using her magic,Velvet conjured two magical wings on her back. But she was not done, she created a larger alicorn body aroundherself. In this form, she could blast a hole right through all of the training dummies and fly vert fast)

Sunlay- How is it that you are the only one that can do that *jelousy*

Velvet- Its my special talent

(She pointed at hercutie markwith was a six-pointed star with wings at its side. It signified her ability to creat wings and a alicorn body with magic)

Sunlay- Well my special talent is just a bunch of dumb orbs

(Sunlay's cutie mark was a large green orb of magic with some sparkles besideit)

Velvet- C'mon, don't let that get you down! Remember what Ms. Silverstream says…

Sunlay- You're soecial in your own way…yea,yea!

Velvet- Sunny, you should learn to accept yourself-

(She stops as the bell rings for them to go back inside and eat lunch. Velvet teleports inside and grabs her lunch bag, she waits for Sunlay)

Sunlay- How can I if I'm trash?

(Sunlay teleports into the classroom with a sigh and mechalochantly eats her lunch, not talking to even her bestfriend who was Velvet Sentry)

Velvet - Sunny, are you okay?

(Velvet decided to talk to Sunlay as they walked home, worried about her she decided to see if she was okay)

Sunlay- Leave me alone! YOU JUST THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME!

Velvet- What?! Do you know what you're saying, Sunlay?!

Sunlay- YOU ALREADY ARE SO PERFECT! You're a princess, future ruler of Equestria, top of the class and yet…you still have to be better than me at the only thing that I'm good at…Magic!

(Sunlay growls as her horn fires up with magic)

Velvet- Sunlay-

(Sunlay fires a giant teal orb at her, flining her back into the ground and giving her bruises and a few wounds)

Sunlay- What have I done?

(Sunlay spins around to run, teleorting away. She was never heard from again after that day)

(Velvet Sentry sighs)

Velvet- Where are you, Sunlay?

Party Pie- Whatcha talking about, Velvi?

Velvet- Agh! Party, you scared me

Party Pie- Oops! I just was taking a walk with Sugar High-

Sugar High- She dragged me along

Cheese Pie- Cheer up, Sugar

Blitzes- Guess what? We came along

Prisdale- More like were forced to

Destiny- Isn't it good to be with friends?

Apple Pie- You mean having to take your- Apple Seed, let Apple Flower go!

(The two were arguing and Apple Seed had grabbed Apple Flower's tail)

Apple Flower- He started it and bit my beutiful tail!

Apple Seed- No I ain't! You started it! And you spelt "beautiful" wrong, use ur noggin'!

Apple Flower- Why you little-

(Before it could continue, Apple Pie grabbed Apple Seed and plopped him down beside Prisdale and Sugar High and Burnity, extuinguishing the argument)

Sky City- The sun is oddly hot today, to you need a sunhat Burnity?

Burnity- No thanks, sis. My scales are okay

Sky City- Okay…but maybe just…

(She plopped him down in the shade of a tree making the little dragon-pony sigh)

Blitzes- Hey, Vel! Wheres Galaxy?

Velvet- Oh, I didn't tell you? She's out with dad and uncle Shining to learn how to be a royal guard

Starbreaker- But I'm still here!

(Velvet chuckles but gets quiet, looking at Starbreaker in wonder)

Velvet- Star…do you ever miss Sunlay?

(Starbreaker's smile fades as he thinks of his girlfreind who went missing. Tears came to his eyes and he started to slightly shake)

Starbreaker- Lets change…the topic, shall we?

Velvet- I didn't mean to make you made, I just-

Starbreaker- Its okay…I'll always love Sunlay but its time to move on…you should too

(However…as much as Velvet Sentry tried to take her mind off it, she still felt weird. Suddenly, a scroll came spack-dab into her face and she read it)

Velvet- If you are not Velvet Sentry, give this to her

(Velevt realised that a spell wason it to keep it locked from other ponies. Velvet then used magic and undid the spell, reading the note)

Velvet- Sunday, 3:10 Pm, meet at Starlight Town…come alone

(Velvet narrowed her eyes, this could be a trap. She'd bring her Element in case)

Blitzes- Hey Vel, we're having fun here!

Velvet- Comming!

(She trots over and enjoys some time with her family and friends)

[Next Day]

(Velvet had finished a class with her mom on ruling and hurried to get ready to meet this mysterious pony who sent her a note.She ran into herroom, grabbed her travel bag and Element of Mind and hurried out. She did not notice a mint green pegasus watching her)

(Velvet soon had caught a train and arrived at Starlight Town)

Sugar Belle- Hello, newcomer! Welcome to Starlight Town. Care for a pastrie?

(She handed Velvet a cake)

Velvet- Thanks, no thanks. I came here to meet someone

(A cream unicorn mare with lighter coloured hooves and muzzle, aswell as a red mane and tail which both had teal stripes, strutted over)

Sunlay- That would be me

Velvet- Sunlay?!

Pear Apple- You know Miss Sunlay?

Sunlay- Enough! Pear Apple, Sugar Bellle, go back insde. I want to "talk" with this pony myself

Velvet- Whats going on, Sunlay? I haven't seen you in like 4 years and you're suddenly Mayor of a town now?

Sunlay- I actually have a birthright to this place. This is my moms old Town

Velvet- Explain why you sent me a note!

Sunlay- *chuckles* I guess its time I explain.I sent you a note so that we can have a magic duel. I'm now strong enough in magic and I believe I can defeat you!

Velvet- I won't fight-

(Before she could finish, a strong beam fired at her, almost giving her anothe scar. Velvet managed to dodge however and slip out her Element of Harmony)

Sunlay- Followed in your mothers' hoofsteps, huh? I'll let you know that she loses the first batle!

(Sunlay shoots another beam but Velvet creats a sheild that eventually shatters, leading to Velvet having to dodge once more.)

Velvet- Fine! You want a battle? I'll give you one!

(Vekvet fires her horn with purple magic and shoots a beam at her,leading to Sunlay being caught in a bubble. However, Sunlay manges to escape with a blast of magic and her horn begins to glow a dark teal aura. Suddenly, fire blasts as Velvet)

Sunlay- Try to escape that!

(Velvet uses her magic and creats wings on her back. She flies into the air and rockets at Sunlay with her horn glowing. Grunting i frustration, Sunlay fires a big ball of fire at Velvet. Velvet gasped and creats a sheild, using the magic of her Element to help her. Suddenly, Sunlay teleports behind Velvet and kicks her into the ground)

Galaxy - Leave my sis Alone!

(Galaxy creats a sheild around her and Velvet while Apple Pie runs at Sunlay, preparing to stomp her down)

Destiny- *Gasp* She has the alicorn amulet!

Party - Is that A bad thing?

Sky- Of course it is!

Blitzes- Good thing we have the Elements!

Sunlay- You think your pitiful Elemnts can defeat ME?!

(The other ponies soon realise that Sunlay's tone sounds dark and evil. Galaxy Swirls gasps as she see's a black cloud of evil magic form around them)

Galaxy- King Sombra has-

(Sunlay shoots at her, about to use her magic against Galaxy. Apple Pie jumps forward, kicking Sunlay away from her friends. Her Element begins to glow)

Apple- Force!

(She shoots at Sunlay, punching the ground and making the unicorn fly into the air. Blitzes zooms to her, her Element glowing as clouds start surrunding her)

Blitzes- Bravery!

(She spins around Sunlay very fast and blows Sunlay at Sky)

(Sky City glanced around, seeing two poles, she uses her magic and wraps a rope around it. As Sunlay comes flying towards her, she gets tangled in the ropes)

Sky- Inspiration!

(Party Pie hops over, begging to talk about happy things

Party Pie- Don't let darkness grow, just let joy flow!

(Sunlay tries covering her ears)

Sunlay- Shut up! I can't stand this-this-

Party- Joy!

(Her element of harmony glows)

(Galaxy runs forward, her horn glowing with a binding spell)

Galaxy- Magic!

(She binds the shadow magic, putting it back in the alicorn amulet. She then teleports the alicorn amulet to Velvet who quickly deactivates it. Sunlay lays tiredly on ground as Galaxy stares at her with Velvet)

Velvet- Sunlay…why did you do this?

Sunlay- I'm sorry Velvet, I just wanted to be as good as you…envy filled me so much that I went to this extent

Velvet- Its okay, now lets go back to Ponyville where we belong

Sunlay-What about my town?

Double Diamond- Don't wory, I'll take care of it until you return. I may be old but I've been mayor of this place before

Sunlay- Thank you, Diamond

(Galaxy teleports them to Ponyville where Sunlay reunites with herfamily)
