Adults shook. The elderly steered clear. Indeed, Aria Blaze was already an intimidating presence, but when she walked down the streets with balled fists and eyes full of fury, one knew not to get into her way. It was a torrent of anger that could not be tamed, at-least not by most. Even her own sisters did not dare argue when she stormed out of the room, her face painted with immense anger the likes of which the world had never seen before. When she entered the house, she let out an annoyed groan. She slammed the door, took off her jacket, boots, and marched right into the living room. She had one target. Location, living room. Specifics - on the sofa. Her head locked in, and made a dive for it. That soft mass. The softness and warmth of the one thing that reduced her stress to zero almost immediately. The serendipitous oasis of clarity and calm. The soft mass that supported her head with its sheer welcome-ness and physical comfort. In short, her happy place. Meanwhile, Fluttershy tried very hard not to perturb her girlfriend as she rested her head on her lap. If that's the first thing she did after coming home, it must have been serious, she thought. "...There there." Fluttershy fondly smiled at the girl who rested her head on her lap. "I'm here, I'm here. Bad day at the studio, sweetie?" "...Uuuuugh. Stupid. They're all so STUPID." Aria cried out, her voice muffled by the softness of Fluttershy's sweater, and her tummy. "Seriously, the techies prepared literally nothing. The instruments weren't tuned. The sound equipment wasn't set up. Literally everything there was placed in some specific way to make me ANGRY. All those singing classes me and my sisters are taking don't make any sense if our microphones are so badly prepared we sound off-key no matter how hard on-key I TRY to get. Is this a prank? Please tell me this is Adagio or Sonata playing a prank on me, babe. I want to know it's just my sisters being idiots and not the universe hand-picking those idiot technicians to put them in the studio." "Sometimes some people are just...uhm...Are not cut out to be working at the studio." Aria mumbled further, burying her face deeper in Fluttershy's lap and tummy. "You're telling me. At this rate we'll never make a comeback. We learned how to sing, but apparently we had to learn how to be producers as well..." Fluttershy had no idea what to say - she wasn't well-versed in the technical side of music-making. However, what she was an expert in, was relaxation. Her fingers expertly and gently glided and petted along Aria's face, her warm hand caressing her cheek and head, like silk running along her very soul. "It's okay. You'll do it, Aria. I know you can. You'll get through all the obstacles you face. For now you just need to rest. Let me help you, okay?" "...Thanks, Flutters." Aria let out a big groan, tired after having exerted herself marching so angrily through the town, on the brink of breaking something or hurting someone. But no - now the white-hot flame was being extinguished, replaced by a loving warmth. "...Did I ever tell you that you have the patience of a saint to put up with me?" Aria muttered. "Please don't say that." Fluttershy cupped one of Aria's cheeks, allowing the softness of her palm to cushion the side of her face. "I'm not putting up with you. I love spending every moment with you, dear." "...Even if I get so angry that I act like a wolverine?" "I've had to calm two wolverines who were pretty...cranky." Fluttershy giggled. "Those two mittens were the only thing that let me walk out of there without a scratch. So no, Aria - sorry if it bursts your bubble, but you don't really match a wolverine." "...You still have an angel's patience." "...Uhm, wasn't that, uh...what you named that song you wrote last week? The one you were supposed to record to--" Aria pulled away slightly from Fluttershy's softness to look up at her and make eye contact. The siren had no idea what to say, but she needed to change the topic fast. "H-Hey, tell me this, in what kinda situation did you have to be in to have to calm two entire wolve--" It all coaxed an endeared laugh from Fluttershy, who instead of pressing further, merely continued to pet and stroke her girlfriend's hair, all while she laid on her side, facing her, and allowing her to be enveloped in her softness. "Aria? Get some rest please? For my sake?" "...Y-Yeah, I guess I will." Aria yawned cutely, and let out a soft sigh. The dragon of fury, the titan of hate, and the tsunami of upset-ed-ness, was now a young adult girl that was curled up on the sofa with her lover. Soon, the soft sound of snoring filled the room. Fluttershy smiled, her fingers running through the fiery siren's hair even then. Siren...Fluttershy knew well who she was dating. But she could forgive...Especially when it seemed that this whole relationship was doing wonders to Aria's mental health. Yet, to Fluttershy, it was never a duty. It just so happened that she was happily in love with someone who was happily in love with her. Kindness made Fluttershy feel good - but when that kindness was directed right at the love of her life, when she could show Aria how much she cherished her, it left the pegasus with a red-hot face, full of excitement. Excitement for the future and the days to come, together with Aria Blaze...Once a storm of fire, now a warm flame that has found its purpose in life. Only issue was, that consoling her love and helping her relax and fall asleep came at a great cost. A sacrifice. Fluttershy would now need to spend a long while sitting on the couch and absolutely not moving as her lover's head softly rested on her lap. Submitting to her fate, Fluttershy merely hung her head back, and closed her eyes.
