Chapters “We need to do something about Dad.” Rarity glanced at the dining room table to her right between sips of tea.
“It is getting rather irksome.”
Sweetie Belle's glaring was far less subtle, but it didn’t make much of a difference. The small silver ring between his fingers took all his attention. The mornings where he wasn't fiddling with it were few and far between. After a pitiable grunt, Sweetie was back to her glass of OJ.
“It’s stressing’ me out!” she grumbled, draining the entire thing in a few gulps. More than a little worrying considering how much vodka she mixed in. Rarity glanced over at him again and caught him raising it to the light. The pain behind his eyes was enough to make her wince.
“You should cut him some slack, Sweetie,” warned Rarity, shaking her head. “Imagine the stress he’s going through. Let’s be thankful we only have one drunken mess in this house.”
‘Whatever. We gotta do something.” Eyebrow raised, Rarity returned to Sweetie Belle.
“Any ideas, or did you just want to whine about it?” Sweetie scoffed, then fished in the pockets of her daisy dukes. Pulling her phone out, she tapped a few icons and pushed the screen in her face.
“Royal Bay Ocean Resort. Your one-way ticket to paradise.” Rarity took the phone from Sweetie Belle’s hand. “This place has got it all. Ocean view, five-star restaurants, tourism around every corner!” Sweetie crossed her arms over her chest with a smug look on her face. “Dad spends a couple nights here and he’ll forget about Mom faster than it takes my boyfriend to—”
“Did you call me, Sweetie?” Both girls flinched, then looked back at the dining room table. There sat something more like a zombie than a man. Eyes red and sunken from sobbing and sleeping troubles. An unruly beard covered his entire face for the first time in years. His hair was greasy and unkempt. Misery even oozed out of his body language as he slumped over the table. He scanned their expressions, then returned to the ring. “Guess not, then…”
“H-Hold on, Dad!” Rarity strode to the table, then laid Sweetie Belle’s phone down between them. “It’s been a… rough few months since the incident.” Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes as she approached. Rarity called it the incident in an attempt to soften the blow, but even that was losing its efficacy. “But Sweetie Belle and I—”
“And I.” Sweetie scoffed.
“We thought it would be a good idea to get out of the house for a bit and go on a vacation!” Hondo's ear twitched. He craned downward and scanned the virtual brochure in silence.
“Girls…" He shook his head squeezing the ring between his fingers. "I appreciate it... I really do. But I’ll be fine. I just need some time.”
“C’mon Dad, Mom left like 4 months ago.” Hondo winced, then huffed like he took a punch to the gut. Rarity figured a sharp elbow to Sweetie's stomach was an appropriate response. “Geez, what the hell? I'm just stating facts!”
“You'd do well to learn something called 'tact',” said Rarity, flashing her sister an angry glare. “Ignoring her comments... you should take as much time as you need. But this may not be the best place to heal. Surrounded by, erm... memories, and all.” Hondo looked again, eyes narrowed. She placed a hand on his shoulder and rubbed. "Couldn't hurt to try, right?"
“No... I suppose not.” The words barely left his mouth before Sweetie scooped up her phone.
“Perfect! I’ll set you two up with tickets now.” She turned away from the table, heading back to her glass on the counter. “You guys wanna go as soon as possible? Peak season is creeping up and you don’t wanna miss your chance.”
“Oh?” Rarity snagged the back of Sweetie’s shirt, keeping her from slipping away. After pulling her in, she narrowed her eyes. “This ‘you guys' seems to leave out an important person.”
“I have important business to attend to!” she cried.
"You don't even know when we'll be leaving," Rarity replied. "And last I checked, throwing parties is not considered 'important business'." She knew she had her sister's scheme solved by her agitated expression. "Not to mention the expenses. How exactly would you have paid for this?"
“Rumble’s loaded.” She flashed Rarity a smirk. “And he does whatever mommy says.”
“I wish I hadn’t asked…” She shook her head, then let Sweetie go. “I’ll put it to you like this. You’re going to be in that car when we leave. If you have a place to sleep when we get there, it's up to you.”
The ferocity of Sweetie's stank eye could kill an elephant. But it was useless in the face of Rarity’s authority. Their showdown continued for a few moments longer before Sweetie gave in with a huff. She turned on her heel, grabbed her glass from the kitchen, then stomped away. Rarity sighed, then turned back to Hondo. Again, he watched the ring, back and forth between his fingers.
The fury of a God bubbled up inside of Sweetie as she plopped down in her desk chair. There’s no way she’d admit it, but Rarity completely read her intentions earlier. There was no way she wouldn’t party with her two roadblocks gone for a weekend.
But there was no use crying over spilled milk. She knew that much at least. Revenge was already on her mind, but she didn't expect to stumble on a plan so quick.
It happened as she scrolled through the website to find herself a suitable ticket. Under the section advertising the many packages they offer. Sweetie meant to scroll through this when an interesting package caught her eye. She tapped it, bringing up the deal in all its embarrassing glory. Expensive, but all worth it if she managed to pull it off. A smile crept onto her face as her new scheme brewed.
"Oh, that's good...” She tapped through the screens and ordered the package. Once the confirmation message popped, she giggled. She set her phone down and savored the last few drops of her drink. “Looks like we'll all enjoy ourselves...”
Their first step onto the resort's ground felt like stepping into the brochure itself. The heat screamed July despite it being March. The calming salty scent of the sea drifted with the breeze and through her hair. She closed the door of the car and peered through her sunglasses down the parking lot. At the end was a large structure planted right on the beach: The Royal Bay’s main building.
“We got here early. Check-in isn’t for another 45 minutes.” Rarity looked behind her as Hondo closed the driver’s side door. The wind blew through his typical Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts. Without a pair of sunglasses, he had to squint to see past the blazing sun.
“It shouldn’t be a problem.” Rarity tapped her knuckles on the window of her door. “Come on, Sweetie. You’re getting out too.” A muffled groan turned to a full one once Sweetie stepped out of the car. With her door shut, Hondo locked the car and popped the trunk. “Oh, please. Only you could get so annoyed over a resort vacation.”
“You wouldn’t be so hyped if you had to pay for a trip you didn’t want to go on.” Rarity shook her head and sighed.
“I’ve offered to reimburse you plenty of times on the way here.” Hondo moved past her to the trunk, hoisting their luggage out. Rarity joined his side, pulling the other bags out and over her shoulders. “Anyway, let’s get inside. Need any help with those, Dad?”
“No... I’ll manage." He clutched their suitcases close and headed toward the building. Despite her best efforts, Rarity couldn’t keep the worry from showing through on her face. He’d cleaned himself up for the trip, but there was still something off. Darkness still brewed over him, like a raincloud, no matter how much he shaped up. Rarity shook her head, then took a deep breath. It was fine. This is what they were here to fix.
The trio met a refreshing blast of frigid cool air blowing from an AC right above the door. The lobby was large and lavish, but empty. High-quality furniture, chandeliers, big windows shiny granite tiles. A classy location for sure, one Rarity could enjoy. At the far end was the reception, their destination.
“Good morning.” Rarity approached the nearest clerk. A woman whose left breast pocket name tag read “Prim Posy''. She had a cool demeanor about her, amplified by the resort’s fancy blazer uniform. “We’re here to check in, though we may be a bit early.” Prim gave them a friendly smile.
“Of course.” The computer on her left booted to life as she tapped it. “Reservation number?”
“Yes. Right…” Rarity tapped her pockets, finding nothing on either side. She fished into her purse and found the same. She hummed, then looked behind her. “Looks like I left my phone in the car… Dad, do you have the number?”
“I think I took a picture of it...” Hondo pulled out his own phone and soon found it. He handed it over to the receptionist, who copied it in a few high-speed taps.
“Thank you.” She tapped on her keyboard for a second longer before she came to a quick stop. Her eyes flicked between the screen and the pair standing in front of her. Blinking a few times and clearing her throat, she continued. “Rarity and Hondo Flanks?”
“Correct,” chimed Rarity, happy their reservation didn’t have any problems. Prim scrolled down the page she was looking at before comparing what she saw on screen to the real deal.
“P-Pardon me asking, but… you two are father and daughter, yes?” Rarity raised an eyebrow.
“Yes…” This time, her confusion was obvious. “Is there a problem?”
“No, no, there’s no problem ,” she cleared her throat again. “It’s just… the suite you reserved is for—”
“Hey, if this reservation is going to take all day, could I at least get a drink first?” Sweetie Belle’s rude interruption managed to throw the receptionist off guard. Rarity glared at her but found a sly smirk looking back at her. “I hear your bare stocks like a million different cocktails. I’m gonna need every single one of them.”
“Doesn’t sound too bad,” said Hondo. Rarity bit her lip, then shook her head.
“It does sound that bad,” she said, all but growling at the little menace. “We’re going to enjoy this vacation in a healthy way. So no midday drinking.” Rarity turned back to Prim, her determination shocking the poor woman. “If everything is in order, we’d like to get going, please.”
“Of course…” After a few more seconds of tapping, she slipped a pair of keycards over the desk. They were simple, cheap bits of plastic, but they looked nice. Their pair came with plenty of hearts bubbling up from the bottom. Rarity thought little of it as she shoved it into her purse and handed her father his copy. “We hope you enjoy your stay…”
“I’ll take your bags for you.” The voice came from their side, a young man wearing the same clothes as Prim. Another person game to assist, accepting the suitcases that Hondo handed to them. The only exception was Sweetie’s who had yet to check in.
“Finally…” Sweetie Belle slipped past the pair and showed Prim her phone. Like before, she began tapping away on her computer as she searched for the reservation. “If you two need me, I’ll be at the bar.” Rarity sighed, then shook her head.
“I’d appreciate it if you could keep her on a short leash, please.” Prim looked between the two sisters, then nodded. “Then that only leaves us to have a bit of fun, then!” Rarity tapped Hondo on the back, then wheeled him out to the entrance. “How about a stroll on the boardwalk? I hear there’s a café with madeleines to die for!” Sweetie watched without a word, that smug smile still plastered on her face. Once they were gone, Prim's typing came to a slow stop.
“Are those two…” Sweetie Belle chuckled, then shook her head.
“They’ve got no idea,” she answered. “They made me come along on this trip, so I pranked them with their reservation rooms.” She chuckled again. “Can’t wait to see the look on their faces.”
“What a prank idea…” Prim took a deep breath, seeming more relieved than before. “I suppose I should expect a room transfer by tomorrow?”
“Yeah, probably.” She leaned in, her smirk turning a little more devious. “Now about those cocktails…”
The beach’s promenade stretched out along the coast and was a short walk from the hotel. They could watch the waves lap the sand to their right, while stores and attractions stood to their left. Rarity watched neither. The book she pulled from her purse a minute ago had her undivided attention.
“They’ve been open for 30 minutes,” she mumbled, thumbing over the handwritten notes on the page. “Doubt they’d be crowded around this time of day... Okay!” She slipped the book back into her bag, then turned back to Hondo. “Are you ready, dad?”
“Mhm.” Unlike her, his attention was on the tide coming and going. His hands hid in his pockets, but Rarity knew what he was doing. That ring hadn’t left his side once in months. This vacation wouldn’t be the exception, despite her wishes. Still, she had to make it work. Rarity grabbed her father’s arm and tugged him forward. She’d drag him out of that stupor if she had to.
“Great! That café I mentioned earlier is nearby. A good breakfast will help start the day right.”
The place, cutely named Sea Breeze Sweets, came into view after a short, uneventful stroll. Several tables sat out front, covered under umbrellas that flapped in the wind. And, as Rarity predicted, there were few people inside once they entered. The barista flashed them a wide smile, then adjusted his uniform’s cap over his eyes.
“Morning!” he chimed, chipper as a squirrel. “What can I get you?”
“I’ll have a medium oat milk latte, with three pumps of vanilla,” Rarity prattled. Something familiar and energizing, not to mention tasty. “Oh, and a basket of your madeleines, please.”
“Ah, a fan favorite,” said the barista, tapping away at the kiosk behind his desk. “And you, sir?”
“Normal coffee. Medium. Two creams and sugars, please.”
“And a classic for the gentleman,” he hummed. “Will that be all?” Rarity glanced at Hondo to confirm, managing to catch him as he slipped his card out of his wallet.
“I’ll cover it,” said Rarity, reaching for her purse. But Hondo pressed his card on the counter before Rarity had the chance to.
“It’s fine,” he murmured. After looking between the two for some sort of confirmation, the barista took Hondo’s card and swiped it. “You planned this whole thing out. The least I can do is pay.”
“Here’s your card back, sir.” The barista’s quick work cut any objections Rarity had short. She settled for a low grumble instead. “Choose a seat and I’ll be right over with your order.”
“Thanks.” He took back his card and popped open his wallet again. This time, another card fell out and onto the counter between the three. His room key. “Hmm... I need a new wallet.”
“I can squeeze that in somewhere along the way,” she said, making a mental note to jot down in her book later. Hondo didn’t respond.
They found their seats near one of the shop windows overlooking the promenade. The few people who passed them by seemed to be enjoying an early morning stroll. Something Rarity also planned to be doing shortly. But first, she turned her attention to the book, retrieving a pen from her bag as she did so.
“New wallet,” she murmured. Afterward, she placed her pen on the table and smiled. “One more stop on the agenda, then.”
“Mhm...” Again, his eyes wandered to the sea. Again, his hands hid in his pockets. Rarity bit down on her lip, thinking of her next course of action.
“Oh! Hey, Dad.” His ear twitched, and he turned back to the table. There, he found Rarity’s hands reaching out, palm up. “Let me see your hands.” It took a little persuasion but Hondo reached up, placing his hand on his daughters. “Both hands, darling.” A little while longer, he obliged. She clamped down on them with her thumbs, then circled his palms gently. “Hmm. A bit rough. We could stop at the spa as well? They have an amazing masseuse there if my research is correct.”
Hondo once again said nothing. But at least his focus stuck on her, and her small massage. With her small, delicate fingers, she couldn’t cover the entire surface of his palm. Still, she kept at it.
“That book...” Rarity looked up as Hondo broke the silence. “What did you write down?” A smile formed on her face as she looked down at it.
“These are suggestions,” she answered. “I did my research on this place. I found a few things you’d enjoy, and wrote them down.” She chuckled, giving him a little squeeze. “And now I’m adding more. Little by little, as you open up to me.” Surprise flashed across his face but was replaced by guilt soon after.
“I’m... Sorry.” He looked down, narrowed his eyes, and pursed his lips. “I’m making you go through all this... All because I can’t deal with one little rejection like a man—”
“No, no ,” said Rarity. She gave him a strong squeeze, but his mood had already plummeted. Worry washed over Rarity’s face, but she quickly brushed it away. Showing it would only serve to put him down. Instead, she rubbed his palms again and showed him a gentle smile. “None of this is your fault. It’s normal. It’s natural to feel like this. Okay?”
“Hmm...” It was clear that her words went in one ear and out the other by his expression. But Rarity was glad they were in there at all. She took a deep breath, then continued rubbing his palm.
“Do you remember Drywood?” She caught the twitch of his ear as he looked up again.
“Yeah...” he mumbled. The corner of his eyebrows turned down. “That was that... Pretty-boy wannabe, right? The one that tried to break your heart?” he grumbled. His choice of description made her smile. “I wish I didn’t… What about him?”
“When he left me that day... You didn’t have to track him down and expose him for covering up his baldness.” Rarity was sure he remembered tearing the stupid, pompous wig off of Drywood in the town square. The blinding shine was unforgettable. “But you did. All to make me feel better.”
“I’m your father,” he murmured. “That’s my job.”
“Then I’m making it my job to do the same,” she said. “If I didn’t have you there, my heart would still be aching. So I’ll make sure you don’t have to feel the same way I did.”
The buzzing of small conversation around them filled the silence they left behind. Rarity met Hondo’s eyes and almost drowned in their vulnerability. Desperation hid behind his gaze as if he needed Rarity’s words to be true. Then, a shift. He broke eye contact and hit her with something she never expected.
“Okay.” It wasn’t much, but Rarity swore she could see the beginning of a smirk on his face. Her heart soared and she gave his hands a heavy squeeze. But it didn’t last long. “Your hands... Are very soft, Rarity.”
“Years of good care will do that,” she said proudly. “So, is that a yes on the spa?”
“Here’s your order.” Once again, their conversation came short thanks to the barista. He placed their drinks in front of them, then lowered a sizable basket of the madeleine sponge cakes. Their shell design matched the aesthetic of the place perfectly. But before her stomach could get the better of her, the barista placed two new items by their sides as well. “And a little bit of vanilla gelato on the house. It goes great with the cakes.”
“Oh? What a nice showing of generosity.” The man smiled but shook his head.
“Think nothing of it,” he explained. “Most people order it with the gelato anyway. And besides, I thought I’d do something special for such a happy couple.” The barista’s words came with a heavy pause around the table. What she thought was a mishearing was confirmed by Hondo soon after.
“Couple…?” he asked. Their eyes met again, confirming their mutual confusion. “Um… well, we—”
“We’re grateful for your kindness.” The quick wit from her years of business experience gave her the edge in speed over her father’s correction. Their eyes met again, but only Hondo displayed his confusion. “I’ll be sure to give this place my highest recommendation.”
“Appreciate it, ma’am.” The barista adjusted his cap a final time before heading back to his post behind the counter. Rarity watched him until he was comfortably out of earshot, then turned back to her father.
“A bit of free dessert couldn’t hurt, right?” she asked, lifting the spoon out from the gelato and into her mouth. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and went down like buttery silk. Then, she noticed the complex expression on her father’s face. “Did that bother you?”
“N-No, um...” The sentence trailed off. Only after he took a sip of his coffee did he think to continue it. “It’s been... A long while since someone saw that in me.” Rarity hummed, then reached out for her father again.
“You may not see it, but you are still fabulous,” said Rarity, giving him a quick once over. Years of exercise did him well, giving him a large, healthy body. A few laugh lines had formed over the years, but he was otherwise wrinkle-free. And Rarity knew men half his age with half the hair on his head. Drywood came to mind. She chuckled, then grabbed up a sponge cake. “At your age, with a body like that... Mom was quite foolish to let you go. I-If you don’t mind me saying, that is.”
“I see.” Another sip of his coffee led to another heavy silence. But this time, Rarity could tell that his face was lighter. At the very least, he kept his hands from his pockets. “Rarity?”
“Yes?” she chimed. He hummed, then plucked a madeleine from its spot, eating it whole.
“About... That spa trip?” He took a deep breath and savored the buttery flavor of the cake. “I think I’d like that.” She smiled, then scooped up the book and her pen.
“Another stop on the agenda!”
Hondo Flanks did not come to this trip with much hope.
Months had passed since that fateful day. The day he came home from work just a bit too early. The day he heard just a bit too much. The day he decided to investigate a sound coming from his bedroom door.
That day played over and over in his head. What else could he have done? What else should he have said? Questions he knew had no real answer or meaning. None of it was coming back, no matter how long he held this ring.
But he still held onto it. A worn silver band he placed on Cookie’s finger some twenty years ago. The same one she left on the counter the day after he last saw her. Sometimes, if he held it up to the light, he could see it shine like the first day he bought it. But those memories carried a tremendous weight. He lowered it before long each time.
“Dad?” His ear twitched, and he came back to his senses. The buzz of the afternoon crowds returned in full force. “Are you alright?”
“Yes... I’m fine.” He turned to the right, where Rarity joined him at his side. The look on her face said she didn’t believe him. Fair, considering his condition. “Um... Did you say something?”
“No...” She looked down, giving away the real source of her worries. When his mind drifted, his hands would find the dull surface of the ring, as if it called to him. It brought back the memories. For better or worse.
“Sorry.” He pulled his hand from his pocket and then took a deep breath. “Where to next?” Rarity’s expression instantly brightened. Her smile was one of the only things good enough to keep him on track.
“It’s a secret, remember?” she answered. “We’re almost there, so...” Hondo nodded, then tried his best to keep his head straight.
“I’m looking forward to it.”
A short distance later, it came into view. A huge building placed right along a bend in the promenade’s path. The Royal Bay Fanatic’s Proshop. A two-story one-stop shop for all the sports memorabilia a fan could wrap their head around. The front displays were chock full of jerseys, sneakers, helmets, and everything else.
“Hot dang… This place has gotta be twice as… no, three times as big as the one back home.”
“After my thorough research, I’m quite confident that this is the ultimate sports fan experience.” She reached up and patted him on the back. “Want to head inside?” The look on his face answered the question for her. With a pleasant hum, she stepped forward, leading them into the shop.
A blast of fresh air carried the smell of new equipment mixed with a natural pine scent. The store had four sections: basketball, baseball, soccer, and football. The latter was Hondo’s sport of choice. He kept several bits of memorabilia around the house, but nothing like this. He realized that his jaw must have hit the floor since Rarity was lit up like a Christmas tree.
“This is all certainly something.” There was no destination in mind when he began walking. Shirts, mugs, cards, bobbleheads... There wasn’t anything missing.
“So, what do you think?” asked Rarity. “Anything catching your eye?”
“It’s... A lot to take in,” he admitted. Finally, they reached the football section near the back end of the store. It was a half circle of merchandise against the walls and in the aisles. Rows of teams he remembered cheering on in his childhood. He’d be lying if he said he felt nothing seeing them all together like this.
One jersey caught his eye, near the left edge of the section. As he approached it, he was more certain. A beige body with green accents. He ran the back of his hand against the large, white numbers on the front. 04. “This was Bobby Bronco’s number back in ‘83. Ran 79 yards to take the lead against the Bridle Bucks.”
“It’s a nice design,” commented Rarity. “A very down-to-earth color scheme.” Hondo hummed his agreement.
“That’s the Hayseed’s colors,” he replied. “Used to be Ponyville’s team before they got drafted into the league. Changed their name after that.”
“Ponyville used to have a football team?” Hondo nodded again, then turned his attention to the side. Posters of several different players hung there. Hondo searched for a quick moment before poking his finger at one.
“That’s Bobby. Well, that’s what he looked like when I was your age.” He hummed, then looked over the rest of the posters. “Surprisingly they even stock the Hayseed’s stuff. They’re pretty hard to come by.”
“Interesting...” Hondo pulled his hand away and looked down. There, Rarity was just as bright as ever. “Hm? Something wrong?”
“You don’t have to try to keep up with me,” he said, averting his eyes. “I know this isn’t your kinda thing.”
“Oh, that?” asked Rarity with a chuckle. “True, this isn’t my area of expertise...” She put her hand on his arm, then smiled again. “But this is the most we’ve talked in months. That’s enough for me, for now.”
“I... Sorry.” Rarity rubbed his arm, smile never faltering.
“Don’t be. I’m not offended.” She let him go, then turned her attention to the merchandise. “You said these were rare, right? They’d make perfect souvenirs, then!” Rarity brushed her hair aside before bending down to look through the mess of posters. “What do you say? This poster, maybe a shirt as well?”
“That would be... U-uh...”
The rest of his sentence came to a grinding halt in his throat. A few feet away, a shiny glint locked behind a pane of glass caught his eye. Rarity got back up a few moments later, then followed his locked gaze.
“Are those rings?” she asked. “Quite the fancy design. I don’t suppose you see one you’d…” Rarity’s words stopped just like he did. But for her, it was after looking at Hondo’s expression. “D-Dad? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” he lied. Rarity would see through something like that immediately. He had to come up with something else, fast. But nothing came. Drawing blanks and with pressure mounting, he reached for his pocket.
But he never got there. Instead, his palm pressed into something soft. It locked with his fingers and gave him a tight squeeze. It was Rarity. He peeled himself away from the rings just in time to feel Rarity press her forehead into his chest. It wasn’t until her other hand wrapped around his back that he realized it was a hug.
Hondo wasn’t sure how long she held him. The buzz of the store faded into a small whisper far away. Instead, Rarity filled his senses. The softness of her hands, the sweet scent coming off of her hair. The gentle heartbeat he felt against his stomach. She had him snared in her completely.
But something was off. Instead of calming down, he could feel himself heating up. He began to notice Rarity’s finer features. The sweat rolled down her body. The faint heat from her breaths. The fullness of her chest pressed into him. Suddenly, these feelings overcame the others. And with that came something he hadn’t felt in months.
“Have you calmed down?” she whispered. He blinked and his surroundings came back to him. His breath was shaky, but he needed to get air back in his lungs. He raised his free hand and pat her on the back.
“Y-Yes, I’m fine.” Another shaky deep breath. Rarity squeezed his hand.
“Are you sure?” she asked, pulling away enough to meet his eyes. “You’d tell me, right?”
“Of course... Yes.” After studying his gaze for a bit, she stepped back and gave him space. But his hand was still in hers.
“What happened?” Her eyes flicked to the ring display. To her, it was an innocuous row of fancy-looking rings with a team’s symbol on the front. But all they did was remind him of what was.
“I’ll... I’ll tell you another time,” he murmured. Rarity looked ready to protest, but he gave her hand a small squeeze. The look in his eyes managed to make her yield.
“Promise?” she asked, lips pursed and brow furrowed. Watching her brought that feeling around again. If Rarity noticed, she didn’t make it obvious. He took another deep breath, then nodded.
“Promise.” There was another pause before Rarity let his hand go. He glanced at his palm, then rubbed his thumb across it. It already felt colder than before.
“That’s good, then.” In her hand, she adjusted what she picked up before. Then, she turned to the register. “Let’s go pay for these, okay?”
“Mhm...” Rarity made her way there, but Hondo’s feet were stuck in place. He closed his eyes and then took a deep breath.
A fast heartbeat. A fire built up in his stomach. A powerful urge brewing beneath the surface of his pants. This was arousal. Potent enough to stir something that hadn’t been roused in months. Just thinking about it made the feeling return, thumping beneath his shorts.
He opened his eyes and made his way to Rarity’s side. As he approached, she met his eye and smiled. There it was again, just as unmistakable as before. He quickly looked away. He must have crossed some lines in his head while vulnerable. Seen Rarity as her mother, or something equally as ridiculous. Then, it would be odd, but nothing to worry about.
He had to believe that. The alternative… was too much to think about.
“How about… no, no. A bit too crowded for my tastes.”
“The spot doesn’t need to be perfect. As long as we can see the water, we’ll be fine.”
As the sun began to set and light up the sky with beautiful light, the pair found themselves on the boardwalk. A six-mile-long stretch of sandy wood next to the sea. An attraction that brought many to watch the waves lap against the posts and the sun dip into the sea. It was also a great spot to fish if the season permitted. So Rarity wasn’t surprised to see many others with the same equipment they lugged around. Not surprised, but definitely annoyed.
“We wouldn’t have to settle like this had I been a bit quicker in scheduling that boat,” grumbled Rarity. She reached into her bag and pulled out the notebook. As she flipped, she recalled crossing out several of the contents she had written down. The spa and aquarium visits were among them. At the bottom of the final used page was a boat tour on the water. “We could have been on the water with no distractions to worry about!”
“No use crying over spilled milk, right?” asked Hondo. “Look on the bright side. Those brownies we had before coming here were good.”
“That is true...” If she closed her eyes, she could still remember her first, delicious bite. An experience she’d keep with her forever. “Though I should be careful. I can already feel my figure suffering for my desires.”
“Hmm...” hummed Hondo. His head tilted away from her until he was looking out towards the sea. “I think you look good.”
“Right...” Rarity pursed her lips.
Something odd had happened. She couldn’t be sure when, but there was a definite shift in her father’s demeanor. He was more talkative, which was a plus, but also more timid. She couldn’t remember the last time he looked her in the eye when she spoke. It was always off to the side, or down at his toes. It was no secret that it worried her, but she tried to keep focused on the good. After a small sigh, her smile returned.
They continued walking for the better part of 10 minutes, chatting every now and then. Rarity noticed the people thinning out and found a decent spot soon after. Hondo dropped the tackle box on the ground between them, then leaned his rod against the railing. Rarity did the same.
“A little late, but...” Hondo leaned down and popped open the tackle box. Inside was a small portion of bait, a few flashy lures, and some hooks. He grabbed two of the latter out and came back up. “Do you know how to set up a rod?”
“I’m afraid not,” she admitted with a chuckle. “Is it complicated?”
“N-No...” There it was again. That nervous tremble in his voice. Rarity thought little of it as he grabbed his pole by the neck and brought it down to his eye level. “It’ll be quick. Take this.” Hondo opened his palm, handing her the other hook. She pinched it from his hands and held it carefully. “It’s like tying a knot. Might be easy for you.”
Hondo showed her how to fasten the hook to the line, then moved on to baiting the hook and attaching the lure. Hondo’s voice was soft, and he was patient with her mistakes. Finally, after a bit more setup, Rarity’s rod was ready for the water.
“Not bad for a first try, no?” she laughed. “So, what’s next?”
“Next is the fishing part,” he answered. He pointed to a small red button at the top of the pole’s handle. “Press that. It’ll loosen the line and let you throw it.”
“Okay...” There was a small click following his instructions. Looking for confirmation, she got it in the form of a small nod. Back at the pole, she raised her hands above her head. “Like this?”
“More like...” Hondo began to reach for her elbow but flinched, stopping in his tracks. He pulled away, opting to point from afar instead. “B-Bend your arms a little more. To throw it further, I mean...”
“Mhm...” She followed his instructions, then flicked her wrists forward. There wasn’t much power behind her toss, but the hook sailed through the air and landed some dozen feet away. “Oh! That was good, right?”
“Yup,” said Hondo. The smile forming on his face told her he was truthful. She hummed in delight, then leaned into the railing, watching the waves. “I’ll do mine, now.”
Rarity turned her attention to the hook bobbing in the water. As she knew it, this was the majority of fishing. A moment of calm in a hectic day. The sun spilled into the sea, rippling along the water’s surface. When she closed her eyes, she could feel the experience in other ways. The water beneath them lapped against the old bones of the boardwalk. A gentle breeze carrying the scent of the sea filled her lungs with each deep breath. It wasn’t her ideal way to relax, but she could definitely see the merit.
“Ack!” The yelp pulled her back down to Earth. She opened her eyes and turned to her side, where Hondo held one hand in the other. She gasped and her eyes widened once she noticed the blood dripping down his thumb.
“W-What happened?” asked Rarity. Hondo glanced up at her, then brushed his thumb against his shirt. He pulled it back, and the blood was wiped away.
“Nicked my finger on the hook. Nothing crazy.” Rarity reached to her side, into her bag. A few seconds later, she returned with a box of bandaids.
“Here, let me see it.” Without waiting for a response, she cast her pole aside and reached for his hand. Hondo flinched, but let her grab his hand. “You really ought to be more careful.”
“Yeah…” She pulled a bandage from the box and began dressing the wound. She could feel his nervous twitches while she held him. She fit the bandage around his thumb, then smiled at her work.
“That should do it,” she said with confidence. Her thumb brushed over the bandage for good measure before she looked up at him again. “Maybe we should... Dad?”
“H-Huh?” he stammered. His pale cheeks flushed red, almost up to the ears, and sweat rolled down his face. He could only meet her gaze for a second before flickering somewhere else. “What’s wrong?’
“I should be asking you,” she whispered. She squeezed his hand, careful not to stress his wound. “You’re as red as a beet. Not to mention how strange you’ve been acting since earlier.” Hondo’s eyes widened, and then he looked away.
“Ah, t-that...” he murmured. “There’s nothing wrong, just, um... Thinking.” There was more to it than that. Rarity could tell by his expression. So she smiled, trying to put him at ease.
“I’ll listen if you want to talk,” assured Rarity. “Any time.” Hondo’s ear twitched, and he pursed his lips. His eyes focused on his injured hand. He took a deep breath, then another, before finally meeting Rarity’s eyes again.
“Those rings... Do you remember them?” Rarity nodded and he continued. “Your mother... Back when we were going steady in college, she came to one of my games. A championship match between another team. We won by a hair, but I felt more alive than even at that moment.” Then, out of the blue, he laughed. Rarity blinked, unsure if she was seeing it right. “I was so overcome with emotion that when I met her after the game, I... I went and proposed right there, in front of the whole team, with what I had.”
“One of those rings...” Rarity murmured. Hondo confirmed it with a nod.
“My lucky Hayseed’s Championship ring replica. Cost all my allowance right out of high school. I damn near couldn’t afford books when my dad shipped me off.” He sighed, then shook his head. “I just... Seeing those things again led me down memory road. One led to the next until... Well you can probably guess.” Rarity bit her lip and shook her head.
“Sorry...” she said. “I must have brought back bad memories.” Again, Hondo laughed. It was a warm gesture, which was even more surprising.
“Don’t apologize. You couldn’t have known.” His thumb brushed over hers, and he tilted his head to the side. “Y’know, Rarity… you’re a lot like your mother sometimes.” He hummed, then clarified. “I mean that in a good way. Before she... Before everything happened... She was thoughtful and kind. Not to mention more beautiful than I ever deserved.”
It was basic flattery. A compliment Rarity had received countless times in her life. But as Hondo laid himself bare for her to see, it felt more genuine than anything else. So genuine that she couldn’t help but get a little red herself.
“She used to do this too,” he said, tapping her hand with his thumb. “Hold my hand and comfort me when stress got the better of me. What you did in the shop earlier... Reminded me of that, I guess.” Then he slipped free of her hands, bent down, and picked up the hook he dropped. “I’ve been... Avoiding you because of that. Touching you or looking too long. So... That’s why.”
Rarity kept silent and watched Hondo fix up his pole. He was much faster than she was and managed to cast out on the water in a flash. Once he did, he leaned forward like she did, admiring the scenery. Her heartbeat was fast, but she still slipped close to him, until her shoulder touched his.
“I’m no replacement for Mom,” she murmured. “But if it would comfort you to touch me... I wouldn’t mind.” Hondo glanced over, eyebrow raised and mouth open. He blinked a few times, then turned back to the ocean.
“G-Got it.” he stuttered. The sun had finally dipped all the way down, leaving the ocean dark. Now, the features of their faces were harder to make out.
Rarity was silently thankful for this, though. For her, whose face was surely beaming red, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
One Thing To Another (Explicit)
“Seems like it was a good idea to leave early.”
Their return to the hotel felt like what they should have seen this morning. Countless conversations flooded the lobby with endless buzz. The front desk was busy with double the workers tending to customers. Hondo made a mental note to thank Rarity for leaving the house when she did.
“Plenty of folks who just touched down, I bet.” With all the people around, a thought popped into Hondo's head. He slipped his phone from his pocket and then tapped the screen a few times. “Heard anything from Sweetie since this morning?”
“Not a peep,” she answered with a frown. “Not that I expected any less. With any luck, we’ll spend less than a grand on her newest escapades…” Hondo chuckled, which lifted Rarity’s mood. She pulled out her own phone. “I’ll leave her a text that we’re heading to our room.”
“I’d appreciate that.”
With the sun down and plenty of new memories, they were both ready to call it for the night. The elevators to the rooms were on either side of the front desk. So, after cutting through the crowds, they boarded an elevator. Behind them was a couple, with bags under their eyes. Hondo could only imagine their journey to get to this point.
Once they were all in, they each pressed their buttons. The couple pressed the ninth floor, while Hondo thumbed the 'L' button near the top. The doors closed and Hondo relaxed with a sigh.
"Oh? You managed to get a room up there?" The speaker was one of the two women they boarded with. She hummed in delight, then continued. "We were lucky to snag one last year. So expensive, but so worth it."
"That's good to hear," chimed Rarity. "To be honest, I was a bit worried. We left our reservation in my sister's hands, and I wasn't sure what to expect." The other lady laughed and nodded her head.
"Your sister has good taste and deep pockets," she said. "Just try not to get too wild away up there. The staff were getting tired of swapping our sheets out every 20 minutes." The two shared a chuckle, as Hondo raised his eyebrow.
"What do you—" His sentence ran short as the elevator beeped with a shrill ding . They’d reached the ninth floor just in time. the doors opened and the couple stepped off.
"Enjoy yourselves!" called the first woman. They managed to slip in a smile before the doors closed them off. Once again alone, Hondo sighed. Though his mind still held on to her words.
“That’s a little odd, no?” Rarity muttered under her breath, but Hondo still caught it. Looking over, he saw her fiddling with her room key. “It seems like our room number is ‘L03’. Did Sweetie book us a penthouse suite, by chance?”
“Seems so,” Hondo tapped the metal panel next to the buttons on the elevator. The button he pressed was above the numbered floors. It was also surrounded by a heart carved into the metal. “Weird naming convention they have here. I almost thought L meant the lobby.”
“Yeah…” Rarity fiddled with the card in her hands, a pensive look on her face. “L, huh…?”
The shrill beep from before cut her short, and the elevator came to a slow halt. The doors opened and revealed the floor to them. Even from a glance, Hondo could tell this place was special.
“L03, right?” he asked, stepping forward into the hallway. "I think I see the door." Behind him, Rarity took a deep breath, then followed along. The door was a surprising distance away from the elevator. At least 30 feet separated L01 and L02, and there were only four rooms in total.
“Looks like this is it,” she said, stopping in front of their marked door. She waved the card before the reader and waited. A second later, the lock disengaged and allowed them in. She pushed the door in, but it barely budged. Hondo pressed his palm above her head to help, noting how heavy the door was. But that observation flew right out of his mind once he laid eyes on the rest of the room.
“W-Wait.” His eyes flicked back and forth, taking in the room all at once. His jaw hit the floor as he croaked out the next sentence. “This is our room...?”
Every inch of the place oozed luxury. Large windows on the far wall led to a balcony peeking over the sea and the city. Twinkling lights signaled every nighttime attraction the area had to offer. A single bed touched the wall to their right. It was wider than he was tall and adorned with fancy linens worth more than his salary. Underneath it were dim red lights bathing the entire room in a rosy ambiance. Forget oozing it, this room was the embodiment of luxury.
But there was definitely more to this room than that.
"U-Um..." Hondo glanced down, at the bedside table next to the bed. There, clear as day, was a box of condoms and a huge bottle of lube. Against the far right wall was a vending machine. There were enough dildos, fleshlights, and body oils to make a pornstar blush. Hondo stood no chance. “T-There's some mistake, right?”
“A mistake, r-right. Room service m-must've gotten confused.” Hondo glanced at Rarity who nervously fiddled with the card in her hands. Hondo looked around again, spotting the phone on the other side's nightstand. He shuffled over to it, then ripped it off the receiver and began dialing.
“I-I'll get this fixed. You don't have to… to touch anything.”
“Yes… thank you.” He turned his attention back to the phone as the dial tone sounded. He took a deep breath and focused on it, drowning out everything else. Before long, the phone clicked, and a familiar voice rang out.
“Hello, this is Prim with room service. How may we help you?” Her answer was frantic, which made sense considering the commotion going on in the lobby.
“Hey, um, hi,” Hondo stuttered. “Me and my daughter- uh Hondo Flanks and Rarity, I mean… there was a mix-up in our rooms?” He shuffled in place and tapped his finger against the wood. “I-Is it possible that we could get our rooms changed?”
For a while, there was no response. He could hear the frantic voices of others and the tapping of keyboards, but there was no Prim. Hondo wondered if he should ask again, but a long sigh interrupted that thought.
“I knew this was gonna be a pain in the ass.”
“W-What?”
“Sorry.” She almost apologized before he responded. There was some more keyboard noise, and then she continued. “There's been no mix-up. Those are the rooms you paid for.”
“B-But—”
“I had a feeling that this was a mistake , so I held a room for the two of you in the likely event that you'd request it.” Hondo's face lit up, but Prim had more to say. “But due to the sudden influx of customers, I had to give away our last reserve room. Yours.”
“So… there's no available room you can switch us with?”
“Afraid not. We're fully booked.” Prim let out another sigh, then said the next words under her breath. “Something I wished even half of these people would understand.”
“Maybe there’s another hotel we can stay in nearby?” He peeked behind him. Rarity was still fiddling with the card in silence. He was glad she found something to focus on that wasn't... everything around them.
“You’re welcome to try, but if we’re this backed up, I doubt they’ll have much more room than us.” He gripped the neck of the phone hard and bit down on his lip. His mind raced a mile a minute to find a solution, but nothing he came up with was simple or easy. “Look, Mr. Flanks, I can try to squeeze you in elsewhere tomorrow morning at the earliest. It'd best to work with what you have and wait it out. Sit back and relax, don’t touch the TV, and everything will be fixed by morning, all right?”
“Y-Yes, of course… thank you.” Prim’s goodbye barely reached Hondo’s ears as he lowered the phone toward the receiver. The small click returned the room to the silence they’d stepped in once they first entered. He took a deep breath to collect his thoughts, then turned back to Rarity. Their eyes met only for a second before Hondo had to look away. “You might’ve caught a bit of that, but it looks like we’re stuck here for the moment.”
“Y-Yes, I heard.” She took a deep breath of her own, which Hondo guessed was for similar reasons. “Unfortunate.”
“I-I’ll sleep in the car,” said Hondo as soon as the thought left his mind. “Then, first thing in the morning is a new room. Two rooms! I-If not here, then somewhere else—”
“No, that... won’t do.” Her rejection floored Hondo, who watched her with a worried expression. She took her first step into the room proper, leaving her purse on the bed. It was big enough to fit the two of them if they kept close. “This vacation is for you . I won't let you squeeze into the car for my sake.”
"I don't want you to do that for my sake, either." Their eyes met. Hondo could see the determination behind them. She wouldn't be budging on this. “Then... what should we do?”
“Well… it will be a unique experience, certainly.” She chuckled, but Hondo could see past her demeanor. Her voice was shaky, and she forced that laugh. With how red her ears were, he could guess she was just as embarrassed as he was. “We can hide and ignore the, erm… extras.”
“Alright...” He sighed again, then took another look around the room. Maybe there was some kind of silver lining in this situation. Unfortunately, his search only returned the extras Rarity mentioned. Worse, it reminded him of the odd feelings he hadn't quite shaken from earlier.
But after a closer look, Hondo noticed something interesting on the balcony. He stepped toward the window and confirmed it.
“A hot tub…” he murmured. He turned back to Rarity, catching her ear twitch as he spoke. “L-Looks like they went all out with this room, huh?”
“It seems so,” she responded blankly.
“Like the spa from earlier, right?” he continued. “I even think it's the same model... m-maybe smaller.” He glanced behind him again, this time catching Rarity peeking in his direction. She'd stopped fiddling with the card and began listening to him. "W- Who knows? Maybe we could get a dip in before we have to go, haha..." She hummed. in response, but said nothing, leaving Hondo to wonder if his attempt to cut the tension was effective. But, after an awkward pause, he got a clear answer.
"Yes... Yes!" Rarity shot to her feet and clenched her fist. Even Hondo was a bit shocked at the sudden fire in her eyes and her confident stance. “A bit of a bump in the road, but nothing to stumble over!” She took a deep breath and then put her fist over her chest. “First, a shower. Then we’ll relax, as we should. Yes.” She stomped toward the bathroom, on the left side of the room from the door, and entered quickly. “I’ll be quick!”
“Take your time!” he called back.
There were a few minutes of silence before the sound of the shower kicking to life rang through the room. Only then did Hondo finally relax and take a deep breath. He was ready to fall to his knees if the pressure stacked on any higher.
He found a spot on the opposite side of the bed and plopped down. Now that he was alone, he could finally gather himself and think clearly. At least, that's what he assumed. With Rarity out of the room, he actually began to give himself another look. Goosebumps formed on his arms as the room's scent brushed over them. The warm embrace of vanilla and sandalwood left him jittery. No matter how many deep breaths he took, he wouldn't calm down. So in the end, he blamed the room for the noticeable tent pitched in his shorts.
“Come on… calm down,” he murmured, barely higher than a breath. He made sure Rarity was still in the bathroom before reaching down for his pants. He pulled out the waistband and gave himself some space to breathe. But the sleeping dragon underneath wouldn't calm down with just some fresh air. “Geez… what is wrong with me…?”
He continued pulling until his pants and boxers reached his knees and fell down to his ankles. And there it was. It thumped with his heartbeat, eager to be handled after months of neglect. Even as he grabbed hold of it, he couldn't believe it. But believe it or not, he was gonna have to do something about it.
“This has to be quick,” he breathed, tightening his grip. He pumped himself twice to test the waters. A bit of precum dripped out and onto the carpet. “Okay… okay…”
Hondo couldn’t remember the last time he’d been so excited. His entire body hummed with pleasure on each stroke. His heart surged with fire on every beat. His mind wandered to places he’d normally never go. Yet it was only in these places that he could achieve this endless libido.
He grabbed his shirt tight and closed his eyes. In his mind, an image began to form. He saw wide hips, a plump bottom, and a full bosom, before him in their full glory. The image shifted a bit more, eventually forming a very familiar frame. It was Rarity... and she’d taken after her mother in more ways than one. Her lips were full and soft, and her hands were delicate. He imagined them taking hold of his cock. Gently, as she would.
“Y-Yeah... like that… hmm…” He pulled Rarity into him, hugging her soft ass in one hand while cupping her breasts in the other. She looked up at him, with those gorgeous blues as his lips met hers. He could only imagine how sweet she’d taste. “God… Rarity…”
His visions distorted as he got more into it. His jerking got more intense, and his balls began to shake and sputter. It had been a long time, but he could never forget this feeling. He grunted, curled his toes inward, and bit his lip.
But at the peak of his pleasure, reality clawed its way back into him. His surroundings exploded into focus, enough to make him gasp in shock.
First of all, he hadn’t prepared anything to clean up. What would he tell Rarity when she finally finished up in the shower?
Second of all, and more importantly, the shower was no longer running.
Hondo dove for his shorts as questions raced through his mind. What the hell was all that about? How long had the shower been off? Was Rarity standing behind him right now as he was exposed? He grabbed his shorts, pulled them up quick, and fiddled with the button. Finally decent, he whipped around in a hurry, an excuse hot on his tongue.
“R-Rarity, I…!” Before he could finish, he choked back the words. He would be talking to no one. He took a few deep breaths, nearly crashing to the ground before his adrenaline spiked up once more. The small click of the bathroom door signaled Rarity’s arrival. She poked her head out first, hair completely wrapped in a towel, and glanced in his direction.
“Did you call me, Dad?”
“N-No, not at all!” he exclaimed. He shuffled towards the bed, making sure his lower half was completely covered by it. “Done in the shower?”
“Almost. I forgot to get my swimsuit.” Finally, she stepped out from behind the door. Her body was covered in a towel, but it did little to actually hide her figure. It sloped off her breast, draping her body in a curtain. Hondo grabbed the edge of the sheets hard enough to turn his knuckles white.
“I-I’ll go take my shower then…” Hondo spun on his heel and reached the corner of the room in one big step. There was the luggage brought up that morning. He threw open his suitcase but froze once he saw what was in it.
“Hm?” Rarity joined him at his side. Her eyes fell on a piece of clothing sticking out atop the rest. She put a hand on her suitcase before realizing what she was looking at. “Is that… a speedo?”
“I-I… um…” He pinched the edge and lifted it out of the pile. It was barely bigger than his palm. If he put this on, he’d be one good stretch from snapping it. Add his restless erection into the mix, and there was no chance. “I d-didn’t pack this! I didn’t even know I owned one of these!” With his other hand, he began sifting through the rest of the clothes with reckless abandon. “M-Maybe they got things mixed up… Y-You should check yours too!”
“Y-Yeah.” She unzipped her suitcase, popping it open to a surprise of her own. Once Hondo realized what she packed, his heart shot right into his throat. “W-What is…?”
It was underneath a small slip of paper, but Rarity’s bikini was impossible to miss. Though it was a bit hard to call it that. One continuous line of black string, only slightly wider to cover its wearer’s delicates. Or, attempt to.
Like his, it sat on top of other folded clothes. The note on top also grabbed his attention, which Rarity picked up. She opened it and began scanning its contents. If Hondo hadn’t been able to read it himself, he wouldn’t have believed it.
Wear this, and I promise Dad will perk right up!
~ SB
“I’m going to kill her.” She crushed the paper the moment Hondo finished reading. A dark expression replaced her last one. One Hondo saw directed at Sweetie Belle only a few times in the past. She’d be lucky if she could crawl to the hospital afterward.
But Hondo’s attention was far from his youngest daughter. That honor belonged to the string bikini. If he stared any harder, his eyes would roll from his head. No amount of reason was going to keep his mind from wandering wherever it wanted to go at that moment.
So instead of trying to shackle it, he let it go.
Without a word, he got to his feet and turned away. In a few quick stomps, he was behind the bathroom door, sealing himself in with the click of the lock. The bathroom was as luxurious as the room it belonged to, but Hondo had little time for admiration.
He spent a moment fiddling with the button but soon tore his shorts from his bottoms. His shirt went next, both falling in a pile at the foot of the impressive bathtub. After his boxers, he was in the nude. He mellowed out to a half-chub, but the blood still pumped strong. A few seconds later, he was back to his full size.
With one foot in the tub, he cranked the faucet open, blasting his back with warm water. His palm slammed against the far wall with a dull thud, his other gripping him tight like he had before. A few pumps and he was already back to his breaking point.
“F-Fuck…” he grumbled. His fingers slowly scraped against the tile until he could ball them up in a fist. Those long, harsh jerks rattled his core and ran pleasure down his spine. A low, grave groan escaped him as he parted his lips. “Rarity, I-I… hnng!”
He grunted, finally breaking the limit he couldn't before. He ripped the cum out of him with another sharp jerk of the shaft. It roped forward and splat against the wall, followed by another right after. He shoveled air into his lungs with long, ragged breaths and pressed his forehead to the wall. The water washed away what it could, but not enough. Hondo could still see the mark he left behind.
The pitter-patter of water soon filled the silence like TV static. Hondo kept his eyes squarely on the cum dripping from the wall. His entire body buzzed with energy in a way he hadn't felt in years. Despite that, his mind was calm. There was only a single thing he could think about. Unfortunately, it was the one he wanted to avoid the most. He’d done all he could to suppress it, beat it, and forget it, but there was no avoiding it now.
He wanted to fuck his daughter.
He reached towards the handles and turned until ice-cold water crashed against his back. He shivered at first, but after a few deep breaths, he adjusted. He looked upward, letting the water wash away the sweat from his face, chest, and lower half.
After that, he lost track of time. He could have been under the water for hours and he wouldn’t have known. After some time, he decided to put his stalling to an end. He wasn't sure how yet, but he had to face his daughter again. He cleaned himself like normal and wrapped up in one of the hotel towels they’d provided. It was very soft and warm to the touch, he at least had that to comfort him.
In his hurry, he’d made the same mistake Rarity did. Well, that wasn’t exactly true. Sometime during his shower, he realized that he brought the Speedo along. It was balled up and hidden in his fist, for now. It was for the best, he thought.
The first thing he noticed out of the door was Rarity. She sat on the bed, hands in her lap, gaze downward. At least, until he stepped forward. Her face was flush, but that was normal for a young woman in her position. Hondo tried to think little of it.
“Hey,” he offered. She sat up straight as he spoke. Peeking over to the corner, he found his suitcase still open and hers closed shut. “Um… did you not get a chance to change?”
“Oh! S-Something like that…” Rarity placed a hand over her chest, which was still wrapped up in her towel.
“Sorry. I’ll let you use the bathroom now if you’d like.” He made his way over to his suitcase quickly, cracking it open with one hand while the other held his towel in place. “We can talk about how we’ll get to sleep after we both get something on. How’s that sound?”
“What about…” Rarity’s sentence trailed off. But after Hondo followed her gaze, he could guess what she meant. “You were quite excited about it, is all.”
“Right…” hummed Hondo. He glanced outside the window, at the hot tub. He gave the speedo a squeeze before turning back. “It’s unfortunate, but… it’s not like we can go in with, uh… what we have.”
“We could keep our towels on,” said Rarity. Her words were enough to freeze Hondo in place. Only for a quick moment, though. “Besides… speedos don’t have to be embarrassing. For some, they're... dignified.”
“Dignified…” Hondo repeated. He opened his palm, revealing the crumpled swimwear again. It hadn’t grown on him since the last time he looked. Then, his mind switched gears, posing the natural question that came with wearing it. “Will you be wearing… um—”
“A shirt!” she yelped. He turned to her, noticing the intensity in her blush. Surely, he wasn’t much better. “That would be okay… right?”
“R-Right.” He looked at the speedo in his hands one last time, then clenched his hand around it. ‘I’ll, um… be right back.”
“Mhm.” Hondo got to his feet again and slipped into the bathroom. Alone again, he took a deep breath and unfurled his towel. He was pretty calm but still volatile. If he was any more riled up, he’d never be able to fit.
To his surprise, it was easier to get it on than he thought. It stretched around his big legs and snapped snugly against his half-chub. A few adjustments later, and he was covered. Well, as covered as a speedo would allow.
He slipped the towel back on and left the room in a hurry. There, he found Rarity sitting on the bed as if she hadn’t moved a muscle. He even had to take a few steps out of the bathroom for her to look up at him. She smiled, but her bright red blush was here to stay. Again, Hondo tried his best to ignore it.
She stood up as he reached the foot of the bed, and joined him by his side. Hondo wanted to speak, but no words came to his head. So instead, they reached the door in silence. Once he slid it open, the subtle sounds of the nighttime attractions far below filled the air.
The balcony was bigger than he first thought. There was a table and chairs in one corner, and a large parasol to cover it. Of course, there were also a bunch of sex toys lying around. He bit his lip. He was already fighting against the speedo down below.
“Oh…” Rarity hummed. Hondo peeked over at her, catching her glance at the hot tub. Unlike the greater area, the hot tub was smaller than anticipated. There were two platforms inside, one elevated up to be a seat, while the center dipped further down to be a floor. If either of them wanted to soak, they could. But both of them would be an issue. “You can… go first.”
“R-Really?" Rarity nodded. "Okay…” He took a quick breath, then dipped his foot into the bubbling water. It wasn’t as hot as he expected, but the churning water felt great. He was able to slip right down, taking his seat on the left side. As he suspected, even pulling his legs in as much as they’d go, he couldn’t give Rarity much space. “Uh… there’s not a lot of space, but—”
There was a small thud next to him. It was Rarity’s towel falling to her ankles. His instincts pulled his gaze upward next. The bikini. It was every bit as glorious as he imagined it would be on her. But this was no illusion. When she bent down, the string clung to her, highlighting her delicates. She entered the water in one smooth motion, then pressed herself against him.
“Hm… not as hot as I expected.” Her voice was little more than a murmur, but it didn’t matter. Her words went in through one ear and out the other. Every bit of Hondo’s body was laser-focused on sending this sensation to every inch of itself. His hands twitched as his eyes slipped down her front.
“Y-You’re… um… shirt…?” croaked Hondo. Her breasts sat half-submerged under the foaming waters. The faded pink outline of her areola was still very visible, though. Rarity turned to the side, enough to meet her father’s gaze.
“It didn’t seem n-necessary.”
“W-Why’s that?” With Rarity so close, Hondo could feel her every move. In fact, all his senses caught fire. Her sweet shampoo scent was incredible. Subtle notes of coconut that he could almost taste on his tongue. Every few moments, she shifted in place, squeezing his growing bulge between her ass.
“I noticed how… excited you were before your shower, and… my mind started to race.” She shifted again, catching him just like she did before. The little whine she let out only served to rile him up further. “Were you aroused by the outfit? Did you imagine it on mom, or…” She lifted her hand from the water, reaching for his on the side. Grasping it from behind, she gently lifted it, bringing it to her chest.
Hondo gasped as they connected. It was just as soft as he imagined, and then some. His fingers sunk into her with little effort like marshmallows. He slipped past the bikini’s meager defense with a flick of his finger, wiggling her nipple from its place. He latched onto it next, gently pinching it between his thumb and index finger.
Rarity’s other hand went down the front, easily finding Hondo’s package over his towel. A few gentle rubs were all it took to convince him to unfurl it and let her at the real goods. His tip poked out from the top of the speedo, giving Rarity enough leeway to travel inside and down the shaft. Once she reached the bottom, she leaned back fully, until her back pressed against his chest.
“Go ahead,” she urged, voice low and sultry. She even squeezed his hand for good measure. “Touch me all you’d like…”
“Are you sure…?” he asked, matching her volume. In response, she let out a small chuckle, then rubbed his shaft back up the way she came with two fingers.
“Mhm.” She leaned into a surprise kiss, giving Hondo a taste of her lips. A tart cherry he enjoyed more than he should. He pulled her in, indulging in the desire despite his common sense. Then again, he was far beyond listening to it, anyway.
His other hand slipped under the water, past the curve of her stomach and to the plump mound above her pussy. His fingers ran through her neatly shaved bush, down to her clit. She gasped on his lips once he prodded it above the fabric, and again when he brushed past it to get to her lips below. Once he pressed past her lips and into her velvety folds, he went in, sticking his tongue in her mouth to meet hers.
“Hmm…” Hondo pulled her as close as she could come. He flicked her nipple back and forth with his right hand, while his left went exploring. He gently scraped along her walls and the roof, looking for the right spot. By the way she shivered in his grasp, he could tell he’d found it.
Meanwhile, with Rarity’s deft movements, she managed to slip his cock out of its tight restraints. Hondo shifted a bit, letting the speedo drift down his thighs. Now with full access, she grabbed him like a stick-shift, rocking him back and forth.
Every time they broke apart for air, Hondo would dive back in, like a beast giving into its animalistic urges. The passion that set his body ablaze gave birth to a level of desire he had no hope of controlling. When Rarity finally escaped his grasp, it was to let out a flighty moan deep from her chest. Her body shook and pussy squeezed tight around his fingers. He pulled them from her as she settled down and caught her breath.
The kisses found a new home on her neck. She enjoyed them if her humming was anything to go by. His left hand emerged from the water, grabbing her other tit in his grasp. Rarity lifted her hips enough to guide his cock between her ass. There, she wiped it along her soft cheeks, only arousing him more. Once it reached the middle again, he thrust forward and slipped out front.
“Rarity…” he murmured. “Can I...?” A small pause, before Rarity gave his hand another squeeze.
“Please … but…”
Rarity left his grasp and got to her feet in one motion. Water rolled off the curve of her ass as it broke the surface. She stepped forward then bent down, reaching for something off in the distance. Hondo focused on the delicious meal right in front of him. The sight of her pussy all but crammed into the thin fabric was irresistible. He peeled her from the bikini, then spread her open with his thumb. The dripping peachy pink looked too good to be true.
He followed Rarity up, holding his dick straight in one hand. The head split her lips just enough to scrape the pink inside, then slipped downward. He pressed against her again, ready to break in, but respected Rarity's wishes. Soon, she came back with what she had been searching for.
“Protection,” she murmured. “W-We don’t want any surprises… is all.”
“Right...” He took the condom from her and split the wrapper open. His nervous excitement had him fumbling with it for a bit, but he wrapped up before long. His hands found their place on her hips before he got back into the proper position.
He gave her a warning squeeze before pressing forward. After she braced herself, he pushed forward and buried a third of his shaft inside at once. Rarity yelped in surprise, but it fizzled into a whine as he trudged on. She held onto every inch with a fierce grip, but Hondo pushed along, determined to reach the end. He pulled her in around halfway, sliding the last half in with ease.
He retreated quickly to the tip but was careful not to slip out. Excited as he was, he didn't want to get carried away in his eagerness. He pushed forward again, squeezing through her easier this time.
Hondo went for one last gentle prod before his hips decided he'd had enough. He shot forward, savoring the squish of her ass against his thighs. Not to mention Rarity's rewarding moan. He did it again, and her front half fell down, tits pressed into the flooring. Rarity let him know how she felt as she wiggled her hips on his dick.
“You feel so good,” hummed Hondo. He chased her down, pressing his chest into her back. One hand held him up while the other slipped further down once again, finding her clit. “So warm, tight…” Rarity took a sharp breath once his rough fingers feathered along the nub of her clit once again. “You’re perfect.”
“D-Dad, I—” Her sentence was cut short by a sharp yelp. That gentle pinch was enough to get her shaking. Her pussy grasped wildly at his shaft as he pumped through. He rubbed it with his thumb in time with his thrusts. “O-Oh… yes…!”
Rarity covered her mouth, but the moan still crept through. Hondo slowed down to his original pace as she leaked beneath him. After a bit of shaking and a few more moans, Hondo slipped out of her, letting her drip into the frothing waters below. He waited for her to recover, taking a few deep breaths himself. She peeked behind her once she was back to normal.
“Did you…” She glanced down, noticing his full erection still ready to go. Instead of answering her, Hondo placed a hand on her inner thigh and lifted it until she flipped over onto her back. In this position, only her feet were still submerged in the tub.
“Rarity,” whispered Hondo. His eyes dropped down to her chest, where he placed a firm kiss above her breast. “Rarity…”
“Hmm?” Hondo didn’t answer, instead planting another kiss a bit higher up. This close, he swore he could feel her heartbeat. It was wild and grew stronger with each kiss. She reached around his neck, holding him close as his smooches traveled north. Once he pecked her neck, he leaned back, meeting her eyes again.
“I want you.” Her eyes widened at his sudden confession. If Rarity’s face could have gotten redder, it would have then. She looked away, but Hondo grabbed her attention back once he grabbed her hand in his. “It may be… no, it is wrong… but it's the truth.” Hondo gave her hand a squeeze, then gathered determination behind his eyes. When she looked back, he could tell the gears in her mind were turning. Then, after a short wait, she returned his squeeze.
“Then… take me.” Her free hand left his neck, sliding up to his face. Her thumb brushed against his thick sideburns. “For tonight… I’m yours.” The words passed right through his chest and grabbed hold of his heart. Any lingering doubt washed away right then. He waited only a moment before getting back to it. Lining himself up with Rarity’s dripping pussy, he teased her with a few long rubs against the lips.
“I’m going to put it back in.” Rarity nodded, but Hondo was already working his way forward. As wet as she was, he had no trouble breaking through again. Hondo let out a long sigh, finishing once he hilted himself inside. With his hands propping him up on both sides of her body, he was off to the races.
It was a complete shift from before. The soft, cautious strokes he started with before were gone. He thrust forward with enough force to send ripples through her thighs, up to her stomach. She wrapped her hands around his arms for support, trying hard not to get blown away by his ferocity.
The power was a match made in heaven with his stamina. Sweat rolled down his back as he pounded away, but he showed no signs of slowing down. If he did get tired, Rarity’s moans were more than enough to bring him back into top shape.
But soon, Hondo could feel it. He was full of steam, but his body wouldn’t hold out. His balls squeezed and fell. His lower half felt like he’d dipped in the sun. His breaths were getting ragged, and Rarity knew it. Their eyes met, and he tipped over the edge. He leaned down, giving her one final kiss before he exploded.
It had been so long, he’d forgotten what it felt like. Holding a woman he held dear in his arms, while cum spewed out of him like a broken pipe. Wave after wave, his balls pumped thick globs of white out of him and into Rarity’s warm embrace. She squeezed him tight, slurping up every bit of seed he had to offer her before asking for more.
Yet once it came to an end, there was no emptiness. Rarity’s sweet lips spread warmth all over him. He held her for as long as his lungs would let him, before finally pulling away for the last time. When their eyes locked, it felt like they’d never break apart.
They stayed like that for a while. Staring at each other, neither believing what happened. It was Rarity who finally looked away. Down, at where they connected.
“That was quite… something.” Hondo’s eyes widened, and he stood up straight again. In the same breath, he slipped out of Rarity, surveying himself. The condom hung from his tip, heavy with cum. He let it rest on Rarity’s thigh as he slipped it off.
“I got a little, erm... carried away,” he prattled. His hands were shaky as he wrapped the condom up, but he wasn’t nervous. Instead, he felt freed of some heavy burden. Discarding the rubber, he stepped back from Rarity’s body and gave her space to sit upright. Hondo was silent as he watched her move. Of course, his eyes drifted to the heft of her breasts and the wetness of her thighs. It looked like his shame had gone with his nerves. “I didn’t hurt you, right?”
“No…” Rarity didn’t seem keen on adjusting her gaze, either. The thump of his cock reduced to a half-chub seemed to take up her headspace. Hondo hummed, then grabbed himself by the base of his shaft.
“Looks like I haven’t quite calmed down yet,” he said with a chuckle. When there was no response, Hondo continued on his own. “I don’t think I can be calm if I’m with you…” That got a reaction. A cute wiggle of her ear, and her eyes flicking over to the side. Hondo chuckled again.
“If you're still ready, then…” Rarity finally met his eyes again. He was sure they shared the same gaze at that moment. A lustful one, with some passion deeper in. He stepped forward again and wrapped his arm around her. His confidence was overflowing. And if he kept this up, so would his libido.
“Should we go to bed?” he hummed. She scanned his eyes one last time, then nodded.
“I'd...like that.”
Rarity’s morning was normal, to her surprise.
Their reservation came with free breakfast, which sounded quite convenient. She freshened up, got dressed, and found a spot that wasn’t too crowded. Surprising, considering the commotion from last night. Her food was quick, hot, and looked quite good. That, plus a bit of help from a fresh cup of coffee, made for the perfect start to her day.
“Rarity, come on ! It’s no fun if you ignore me.” She looked up at the one calling her name, finding an annoyance trying to get her attention. “Oh? Are you ready to talk?”
“Almost perfect.” Sweetie Belle didn’t seem to hear her murmur, which was fine by her. She put her fork down, wiped her mouth with the cloth near her plate, and then placed it back neatly. “What are you doing here?”
“Wha… my prank,” she explained. “Y’know, the room, the swimsuit… did you not find—”
“No, no, you misunderstand.” Rarity locked her fingers together, then rested her chin against them. “You must know that I’m going to retaliate. Most likely with violence.” She hummed behind her smile. “A smart trickster would be halfway across the world by now.”
“O-Oh, that! Well, you didn’t do anything when I sat down, so…” Sweetie chuckled. Rarity could hear her nervousness. It put a smile on her face. “So… how did that work? Did one of you sleep on the floor or something?”
“Hmm…” Rarity grabbed her cup and took a long sip. Her mind wandered to the moments when the sun first beamed through the windows. The warmth of the coffee reminded her of the tangled embrace. The deep brown color was reminiscent of his wide, unclouded eyes staring down at her. The lipstick stains on the cup like the ones she left on his lips. She closed her eyes and sighed. “How I wonder…”
“Oh, you’re here too, Sweetie.” Rarity put her cup down and looked toward Hondo. Comparing him now to himself just yesterday was night and day. Purpose had returned to his steps. The droopy appearance he lugged around was more defined, and confident. He smirked once he got close enough to touch the table. “Good morning.”
“Hey, Dad…” Sweetie Belle recognized it too, and Rarity noticed. As he took the seat beside Rarity in the booth, she kept a careful eye on him. “You look better.”
“Ah, yes,” he answered. “The beds here are great for your back.” His attention shifted to Rarity’s plate. “Do you have a menu, Rarity?”
“They use QR codes here. Let me see if I can get the website back.” She could feel Sweetie’s gaze on her next. She didn’t even back down when Rarity decided to stare back. “Oh? Does the soon-to-be deceased have something to say?”
“Did you two… fuck?” All smugness dropped from her expression immediately. Her phone slipped from her grasp and crashed into the table.
“Why would you—”
“How did you…” They spoke over each other, but Hondo was just a bit louder. Rarity pursed her lips, feeling the embarrassment creep along her cheeks.
“Oh my god, you super did!” Her jaw hit the floor as she turned back to Rarity. “Is that why you didn’t yell at me before? ‘Cause you let Dad clean your pipes out and it actually worked?”
“S-Sweetie!” said Hondo in a hushed tone. There weren’t many populated tables around them, but he still checked to make sure they weren’t overheard. Once he was sure, he continued, even quieter than before. “Listen… I-I can explain myself.”
“No need!” she said, waving him away. “This whole thing was my idea, remember? I didn’t expect it to actually work, but still... wow.”
“May I suggest that you tone down any future ideas if they must include me, please?” Rarity leaned back in her seat and took a deep breath. “I have enough trouble keeping up with your normal antics.”
“You were definitely the wildcard here. I mean, I thought there was no way you’d fuck Dad…” She looked over at him again. “Not that I’m judging you. Dad’s a real stud once he cleans up right. But he already gives me everything I want, so I don’t need to put on any of the charm.”
“I, uh—”
“Is everything good over here?” In a zip, a fourth member came to the table. A waitress. Hondo’s look of relief was enviable.
“Yes! Well, actually, a paper menu, if you could. Please.”
“Right away!” And like that, she was gone. Hondo took a deep breath as Rarity did. It felt a bit comforting to not be the only one lost when it came to Sweetie Belle.
“Thank you,” he huffed. “So… what exactly have you been up to, Sweetie? We didn't see you at all yesterday.” She smirked, then leaned forward with that same goofy grin.
“You really want to know?”
From then on, the conversation went off in a different direction. Yet, Rarity’s mind was still right where it started. Her father sat next to her, reinvigorated. At least, for the time being. That thought led to another.
How would she keep him this way? Would it have to be through their… nightly activities?
There was a single day left on their reservation. That meant one more night. Her fingers rubbed against the leatherback of her planner as she picked at her food.
Whatever happened today, she knew it’d be a long one.
Reclining under the shade, drink in hand, while the sea breeze brushed across her skin. The crashing waves and chatter from the other beachgoers weren’t bad for the ambiance, either. For Rarity, this was the definition of vacation.
“Pina colada, eh? A Classic.” Rarity looked up from her drink. She spotted Hondo as he stepped into the shade from the top of her sunglasses. “Um… can I take a seat next to you?”
“Of course,” she answered. A few seconds later, the empty chair next to her creaked under Hondo’s weight. “How was the water?”
“Hm? Oh, it was normal, I guess,” he prattled. “Think you’ll hit it? Would be a waste of a good swimsuit not to.”
“Hmm…” She agreed, somewhat. It was a one-piece, dotted yellow and black with a frilly waist. Stylish, but anything would be on her. Worthy of showing off. More importantly, it was on Sweetie Belle’s dollar. The thought put a smile on her face. “Maybe later. It’s a little crowded now.”
“Yeah…” Rarity looked over and met Hondo’s complex expression. She watched him until he looked up from his clasped hands. “I’m awful at beating around the bush, so I’ll just come out and apologize.” Rarity rolled the straw around on her tongue.
“For what?” she asked, even though she had an idea what it might be. Hondo took a deep breath, then began tapping his knuckles with his fingers.
“Last night. All of yesterday, really.” He rubbed the palm of his hand with his other thumb, then continued. “That… we shouldn’t have done what we did. A-And it's my fault! Completely.”
“Not completely.” She lowered her drink into her lap, watching the ice swim around. “You're right. We shouldn’t have. But... we did. I accepted your advances. For that, at least, you bear no fault.”
“I’m your father, Rarity. I shouldn’t have even been making those advances in the first place!” he huffed. “I-I mean, what kind of man am I, to push my daughter to do all that… I wasn’t in my right mind.” Rarity took another deep breath, then looked back to Hondo.
“I am your daughter,” she answered. “But I’m also a grown woman. A grown woman who can make her own decisions. Who can be… attracted to anyone she wishes.” Then, she glanced up at the waves in front of her. “It was a one-time fling. A mistake... but not one I disliked.”
“R-Right… yes,” stammered Hondo. “A one time thing. Nobody’s fault.”
“Yes.” Rarity looked at her drink again. She should have felt relieved. The question of what to do next had an answer: nothing. They’d go about their vacation, return home, and lock this away as a distant memory.
But that all sounded… wrong. She didn’t lie to him. She did like it. Being held by her father filled her heart. She guessed it did the same for him. They were safe, or as safe as they could be. Sweetie didn’t mind. Neither of them had anyone else to worry about. Right then, Rarity realized her situation. The only thing between herself and another experience like last night was her word.
So… what did she want?
“I’ll take you up on that offer.” Rarity got to her feet and placed her cup where she sat. She wrapped her hair up using a band around her wrist, putting it in a high ponytail. “I’ll go take a dip.”
“Oh… alright.” Hondo finally smiled again. A lonely one, though. “Enjoy yourself.”
“Mhm.” Then, without another word, she spun on her heel and headed for the water. When she realized it was cold, she was glad. She definitely needed something to cool herself off.
If she didn’t, she was bound to make a rash decision.
“Wow… they were not subtle at all with this place.”
L03. Thanks to the keycard she managed to slip from her father’s wallet, Sweetie Belle had free access to the room. And with those two enjoying the beach down below, she doubted she’d have much company. Closing and locking the door behind herself made sure of that.
“Hmm…” She took stock of her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of place. Even the bed was well-made with fresh sheets. Room service must have come by before she arrived. Running her fingers along the silky smooth linens, she smiled. “You can’t even tell they were getting it on in here.”
She hopped onto the bed and took another look around. She could barely turn her head without spotting a condom. She plucked one from the nightstand, rubbing it in her thumb. She could only imagine how red Rarity must have turned walking in here. The thought of missing it weighed heavy on her mind.
“Alright then. Time to get some ‘insurance’.” She tossed the condom to the side and slid off the bed. Fishing in the bag she brought along, she pulled out her insurance. A small, almost unnoticeable camera small enough to fit in her palm. Expensive, but If she pulled this off, it’d be worth every penny.
Sweetie Belle had a plan. Rarity had gotten a little too big for her britches recently. Ordering her this way and that for a few harmless jokes. It wasn’t her fault she got dicked down by their dad. But Rarity didn’t see it that way and that’s all it took to get the beatdown of her life.
But that would all change if she could find a good spot for this camera. A simple plan, but an effective one. A couple minutes of Rarity bumping nasties with their dad, and Sweetie got an infinite get-out-of-jail-free card. The only bad news is that she would have to retrieve it. She needed to plug it into a computer to get all the juicy goods.
“Here seems good.” She took a few steps back, making sure that it was well hidden. She doubted that either of them would check the small space above the curtain rod. The corner angle was good to capture the entire room, too. She whipped out her phone and pulled up the app she set up beforehand. Once she confirmed herself coming through, she jumped back onto the bed with a wide grin. “Now I’ll just turn up the charm and get those two hot and bothered.”
She fell back onto the sheets, stretching herself out. The condom she discarded before landed on her side. Again, she picked it up, feeling it over in her fingers.
Then another thought popped into her head. A devious one, perfect for her devious nature. She sat up, smiling wide at the lone condom.
“Nothing wrong with causing a little more mischief, right?” she asked. She hummed in delight as she jumped off the bed. “Not like she’ll be able to do anything about it!” With her mind set, she started on her new goal, ready to stir up some trouble.
The bottom of the glass never gave Hondo much comfort. A good thing, he thought, considering the mess his relationships had become. Taking the edge off with a bit of liquor did occur to him, but he never fell to that temptation. But now, his mind was twice as hectic as ever. Given the opportunity to have a bit of fun, he agreed, wondering if it could do something for him.
“You’re not as clever as you would like to think. I know this was all part of your plan.”
“Oh, shove it. You’ve been going off about day drinking, but you tried out the most. 16! I’ve been counting.”
Hondo swished the small clear liquid at the bottom of his tall glass. Wine was never his drink of choice, but it would get him buzzed all the same. He took a swig, savoring the sharp lime aftertaste sliding down his throat. Quite nice.
“Dunno why you’re getting so prissy. I suggest the exact kind of bougie thing you’d like and I still get snapped at.”
“Boug… Wine tasting is not bougie , darling. It's refined. An experience for the tongue seeking enlightenment. Not for boorish drunks like yourself.”
“Whatever, moooom . Wait, I guess I can call you that now, right Dad? Dad?”
“Hm…?” Hondo looked up from his glass at the two bickering in front of him. Judging by the redness of their cheeks, both were as tipsy as he was. He smiled, which soon turned to a chuckle. “Sorry… what were we talking about again?”
“Ignore her,” said Rarity, quickly. She gave the little bit of red wine in her glass a swirl, then took another small sip. It's what she'd done for the last hour or so. The hum afterward really sold its flavor. “How have your drinks been?”
“Pretty good. Nice and fruity, I’ll say.” Empty glasses returned to their wine’s respective sommeliers who disposed of them. Placing his glass in the disposal section, Hondo glanced around at the full exhibit.
There must have been more than a hundred bottles laid out behind small bars. Each is attended by a sommelier, all experts in their wine of choice. They’d almost reached all the displays, thanks to Rarity pulling in every direction. Despite her bickering with Sweetie Belle, it seemed she was having some fun.
“As good a review as any,” said Rarity, throwing in a small giggle. She downed the last of her glass, then placed it next to Hondo’s. “Right! Before we go, there’s a popular chardonnay I’d like to try that’s a steal for these prices. Come, come!” Rarity slipped out of her seat and beckoned the two to follow. Sweetie finished her glass last, then hopped out of her seat as well.
As they shuffled through the hall, Rarity managed to gain some distance from them. It was no problem, as Hondo could spot her from anywhere she went. Half of that was her dress. High class, and custom-made by herself. Lilac and midnight blue, like some sort of cosmic star arrangement placed in the middle of the earth. The other half… was something deeper itself.
“Hey Dad?” called Sweetie. “Look any harder and you’ll burn a hole right through her.” His heart skipped a beat, but his usual nervousness was nowhere to be found. Instead, he laughed under his breath, careful not to let Rarity notice.
“Was it that obvious?”
“Yup. I’m surprised she hasn’t noticed.” Sweetie pat him on the back, then beckoned him to lean down. “Not that I blame you at all. I mean, have you seen what she’s working with? She’s lugging around a whole bakery back there.”
He laughed again. He couldn’t deny what she was saying, despite it being so crass. The curve of her ass in the dress was noticeable, especially along the waistline. If he stared hard enough, he could imagine the hem of her panties pressed against the fabric. Imagining any more than that would be an issue though.
“Damn, you’re really down bad, huh?” Hondo was confused until he realized the state of his lower half. His poor attempt to conceal it only brought it more attention. “So? Thinking of swinging back to the hotel after this to lay some pipe?” This time, his smile fell away for a pensive frown. He took a deep breath before even responding.
“No… no,” he said firmly. “It was a one-time thing. A mistake. We both agree.”
“Yeah, yeah,” said Sweetie, waving his words away. “But... are you really okay giving up an ass like that without a fight?” She patted him on the back a few more times, then left his side. “Couldn’t hurt to ask… right?” Hondo pursed his lips, then looked back up at Rarity. The distance between them had grown, but she still shone brighter than anyone around. He took another deep, shaky breath, then shook his head.
“I need to use the bathroom.” Without waiting for her reply, Hondo turned on his heels and headed in a new direction.
Once inside, he made straight for the sink, washing his face with cold water a few times over. He watched himself in the mirror. Water dripped from his beard hair, and thoughts ran amuck around his head. Again, he splashed himself. Doing something meant he’d have less time to think about anything.
He left the bathroom right after, but the other two had moved on. It took a few seconds to find them, chatting near the next bar. The drink she mentioned was already halfway up Rarity’s glass, while Sweetie sat without it. He rubbed his eyes, then started making his way to them. Slowly.
He watched them talk, though he couldn’t hear a word over his surroundings. Sweetie Belle was talking, more than Rarity, who listened and swirled her glass. She laughed and shook her head through most of Sweetie’s sentences, but something caught his eye soon.
Her eyes turned down, and the slight blush from the alcohol grew. She swirled her drink again before taking a longer sip than normal. Her expression shifted. It mimicked his own a minute ago when he spoke to Sweetie Belle. He was getting close enough to hear bits and pieces of hushed conversation now if he strained his ears.
“... didn’t dislike it. I didn’t! But… it’s dad!”
“It’s who you like. It’s not like anyone’s giving you trouble, right?”
“Right… right, but… well—”
“Oh, you found the drink you wanted!” said Hondo. He wasn’t sure why he cut in, but he was sure he had to. Rarity’s eyes flicked up towards his, then down to her glass, and further down than that. Finally, she met his eyes again, before turning away completely. “H-How is it?”
“F-Fine, I suppose,” she answered. “Nice and… fruity.”
“Nice and fruity,” he repeated with a chuckle. He turned to Sweetie Belle, who had a satisfied look on her face. She fished into her pocket and pulled out a card, then hopped out of her seat.
“I think I’ve had enough to drink for today,” she said, sauntering towards Hondo. She lifted the card and handed it to him. It was his room key. “I think I’m going to enjoy the last day we have here. Tie up some loose ends or something, you know?” Hondo’s eyes widened. He’d lost track of time with all that had gone on. He looked over at Rarity, surprised to see her looking back. “Have fun you two!”
And like that, she was gone, and they were alone again. Hondo’s head was no clearer than it was before he drank. It might have made things worse. Neither of them looked away from the other for a moment. Neither was sure they wanted to.
The seconds turned to minutes. Hondo screamed at himself to come up with something to say and break the tension. Ask about the wine! Talk about their next destination! Compliment her eyes, anything!
“R-Rarity! Uh…” he stammered. “I—”
“Wait,” she whispered. She put her glass down for disposal. She’d barely taken a sip yet. She reached for his hand, which was still out holding the card, and covered it with her own. Her eyelids narrowed, and she gave him a little squeeze. “Not here.”
There could have been a million people around them, buzzing like flies and Hondo wouldn’t hear a peep. She’d captured his attention as fully as anything could. He swallowed down that mounting nervousness. Now was the time to have some confidence. He reached up to her hand with his thumb, brushing over her knuckles, and smiling.
“Okay.”
There was something off about that room. When they first stepped foot inside it, she could feel it. She had no clue what it was then, and she was no closer to an answer now. But there was something there. Something that made her feel that intense gaze when it fell on her. It set her body alight whenever his fingers brushed along it. That something pulled their chests together, and her lips to his.
Hondo grasped her while the door to their room was still ajar. He closed it with his foot before holding her tight and kissing her hard. All the words she wanted to say ever since leaving that vineyard melted into nothing. They didn’t seem as important as what was in front of her now.
She fell into the bed and laid down flat. The straps holding her dress up went slack as Hondo slipped his hand down the front. The feeling of big rough hands over her chest made her shiver in delight. She would have moaned, but the relentless assault on her tongue stifled every attempt.
The dress was down to her torso by the time she got a break. Her breasts fell at either side of her body, still buzzing from Hondo's massage. She leaned back to rest on the sheets while Hondo turned his focus downward. His kisses traveled down her neck, collarbone, and finally her chest. She gasped once he latched onto her.
“Oh, gosh,” she huffed. He’d already gone further down with his hands, feeling her stomach up on their way to her panties. He slipped through easily, pulling them down to her knees in one smooth tug. ”Hmm… just l-like..."
“Mhm,” he hummed. Her panties glided off her legs until they hung from his finger. He dropped them and worked on her dress next. His knuckles rubbed against her stomach as he worked, riling her up even more. He rode the curve of her hips and tugged a final time to get the dress off her body. All the while, peppering her stomach and thighs with kisses. He reached his goal down below before long. He stood face to face with her bright pink pussy once again, overflowing with eagerness.
But he managed to put that feeling on hold. Instead, he felt up her ass. She huffed, hoping those hands would sink in and get lost. He slipped them up her thighs, holding them up enough to give him a clear shot with his tongue.
“Amazing,” he murmured. He pushed forward until she could feel his breath tickle her lips. It brushed against her clit, and she tensed up. A gentle squeeze calmed her down. Next, he lapped at the excitement dripping out of her already. The sharp flick of his tongue against her walls sent waves through her body.
“Mmh…!” Her toes curled inward as his next lick reached even deeper. The tiny whiskers of his beard ticked her thighs as he got more aggressive. His tongue cleaved a path through her until his mouth smooched her lips. Then he pulled back to do it all over again. “R-Right there is… mmh, perfect …”
His hand left her thigh and rest on her stomach, above her clit. He pressed into it with his thumb, yanking a shaky moan out of her mouth. The pleasure mounted along with his attack on two fronts. And she knew he intended to keep going until she was a shaking mess beneath him.
The butterflies in her stomach reached a fever pitch. Her entire body tensed up for a moment. She bit down on her lower lip and whimpered. Trying to keep her moan from escaping as an animalistic grunt was proving more difficult. Heat pulsed from her stomach to the tips of her toes. Then, with a dainty yelp, the cum Hondo worked so hard for began dribbling down his tongue.
A minute later, he let Rarity’s legs fall to the bed again. Their panting filled the silence they left behind. Rarity brushed her messy hair from her eyes, looking up at Hondo’s figure looming above her.
He unbuttoned his shirt with one hand and pulled it off with the other. The definition of his muscles was clear, even through his undershirt. When he lifted it off, Rarity swore she could see the sweat rolling down each of his abs. The bottoms were next, removed after his belt fell to the floor. Beneath it all were a pair of simple boxers hiding something impressive. She bit down on her nail, watching the half-chub peek at her from the top.
He slipped out of them and pressed his budding erection right on her stomach. It was hot enough to burn her up and throbbed hard like a heartbeat. Precum was already drooling from its tip and onto her. Just looking at it made her body yearn for its embrace.
“Wait,” hummed Rarity. She managed to claw her way back from depravity and focus on the situation. “We need a condom.”
“R-Right.” And just like that, what she knew as her father returned. The stud that grabbed her, claimed her, and would ravish her felt so distant. But that person lurked right under his gentle appearance, waiting to be unleashed on her. She smiled as he retreated, reaching for the nightstand beside the bed. “Huh? Where is…”
Rarity turned as her father did. To her surprise, the box of condoms that sat there when they left had disappeared. She turned to the other side, finding a similar issue. In fact, now that she had a moment to look, she couldn’t find a condom anywhere . Not on the nightstands, the TV stand, the walls, the shelves. It was as if the room had been wiped clean.
“There’s none in the bathroom, either…” Hondo left the bathroom with a confused expression. “Any luck on the balcony?”
“None.” She crossed her arms over her stomach. Their brief search yielded no results. She sighed, then looked up at her father. His attention was on the nightstand again.
“M-Maybe room service will bring new ones?” he asked. The phone near the nightstand was on standby, and they didn’t look too busy when they passed through. Still, Rarity shook her head.
“It’s meant to be a mistake that we’re staying in this room,” she answered. “If we call asking for more… I couldn’t stand the embarrassment.”
“Right,” said Hondo. “Then we should… put this on hold for now?”
That seemed like the best choice. That seemed like the right choice. This was all meant to be a mistake. The room, the sex, everything. Rarity should have known better than to fall into the same pitfall.
But with Hondo standing in front of her, with his eyes on her body and his body so… ready … she couldn’t help herself.
“Well…” She leaned against the wooden foot of the bed, bit her lip, and narrowed her eyelids. She opened her mouth to speak, and the words came out before she understood what they meant. “We don’t… have to…”
Her attention left Hondo for a moment when a small glint caught her eye. A condom, on the sheets of the bed. It was almost buried in their little scuffle earlier, but it was definitely there. Rarity reached over and picked it up, staring at it for only a few seconds before looking at Hondo again. They shared their relieved expressions.
As if nothing happened, Hondo took Rarity to the bed with a ferocious kiss. His grip felt stronger than before. Much more... savage . If he was this energetic now, she could only imagine what he’d do when he put it in. The thought made Rarity shiver with anticipation.
She wouldn’t have to wait long. She purred as he finally pressed his head into her lips. He split them with ease, stuffing half his length into her at once. She gasped as he pried her open once again. Once his whole body pressed into hers, he’d given her everything she wanted and more.
Rarity had recognized it before. Hondo wasn’t the biggest she’d ever seen, or the most skilled, but it felt perfect regardless. It scratched her itch perfectly and even revealed a few she had no idea she had. When he rammed in, she didn’t feel pain or strain. It reached just as far as she needed it to, every time.
“Hmm…! Hmm!” Hondo’s grunts marked his hips slamming into her ass and the loud clap sound that came with it. His dick squished against her walls with a sound like trudging through wet mud. It made sense with the amount of cum Rarity dribbled all over the bed and Hondo. When he needed a break, he gave her every inch, then held her tight and kissed her. Rarity didn’t mind too much, either. She needed a moment to catch her breath as well.
“Daddy…” she whimpered. Hondo liked that if the violent throb inside her meant anything. She smiled as he pulled away from her lips. “Does that turn you on? Knowing your little girl needs her pussy ruined by her big daddy…?” Hondo looked at her without answering for a while. Then, he looked away with a pout.
“Is that bad?” Rarity giggled, then brought her hands up to Hondo’s face. She made him look at her again, then gently kissed him on the nose.
“No… of course not,” she answered. “Knowing that it’s you that’s doing this to me…” Her hands guided him down to her chest. Close enough for her to speak into his ear. “Makes me so, so wet. Now… make sure you fill me up, Daddy.”
Rarity felt his muscles tense up as she let him go. Their eyes met for a moment that felt like forever, and then he pulled away from her body. His hands found their way to her hips, and he straightened out his posture. The confusion on her face was all cleared up after he pulled out.
Hondo went off like a rocket. Her words must have brought the demon hiding inside her father to the front. He drove his hips into her like a machine, slamming against the back of her pussy twice a second. A foreign kind of energy burst from his body. His biceps flared and he leaked sweat from everywhere.
Her legs wrapped around his back, but Hondo wasn’t going far. His short, powerful pumps were enough to squeeze the cum of Rarity’s second orgasm out in thin spurts. One of her hands covered her mouth while the other grasped at the sheets, but it was useless. Her dainty moans were already bouncing all around the room.
But somehow, over all the chaos, Rarity could tell something was wrong. Maybe it was her dressmaker’s intuition, but it managed to snap her from her euphoria. Hondo didn’t feel at all like he did the day before. He felt hotter… more real , somehow. Her mind raced a mile a minute but came to the conclusion just a bit late. Her eyes widened and she clawed back the moans to speak.
“D-Da, ugh…!” Hondo leaned down, his face only inches away from hers. “D-Dad, the con… hmmm… the condom—”
“It’s coming,” groaned Hondo. His hips hadn’t slowed a bit, He pounded Rarity into the bed until it creaked under their weight. “I’m gonna…!”
True to her suspicions, she knew exactly when Hondo had reached his limit. Thick, hot creamy cum burst out of him and splashed against her walls. Every hammering throb of his cock swelling inside her came with another jet of white goo. Soon she could feel it pooling inside of her, spilling over everything as his thrusts came to a slow halt. He’d kissed her again, at the end, and held her close now. She found the usual comfort in his embrace, but it was undercut with a wave of panic when he let her go.
“D-Dad, oh…” She reached down to her pussy, pressing into what shaft she could reach. Eventually, he pulled back, revealing the damage. The condom split into pieces. A steady stream of cum trickled out of her, like a tiny stream. "Oh no… there's s-so much, I…”
“The condom…” Hondo blinked, finally free from his own stupor. Their mix of cum leaked off of his cock, staining both the sheets and floor. “Oh…”
“C-Calm down, j-just calm down...” She took a deep breath, but it wasn't working. She swore she could feel them. The cum he'd pressed right up against her womb, pushing through her. Nothing stopped them from running through her meager defenses and attacking even deeper. She put her hand over her lower stomach, trying to calm her body down, but it was too late. They'd come in, and they were here to stay. Not until they passed through her last, most important barrier.
She slipped out of the bed and made for the bathroom, jumping into the shower as soon as she could. She turned it on and let the water wash away the sweat rolling off of her body.
She leaned back, enough to let the water run down her front, then poked at herself. She was still drooling it. It was still so hot, like white magma running down her legs. She felt a strong grip on her stomach, pulsing like her heartbeat in her chest. She shook her head to clear her mind, then slipped her finger inside to try to do something.
She was so preoccupied with the task that she didn't hear the door open behind her. The curtains parted to her side, but still nothing. Only once she felt Hondo’s arms wrap around her stomach did she react. She glanced back, but could only see the shape of his arms, holding strong.
And there they stood for a while, basking in the pitter-patter of the shower water running down the drain. The scrambled thoughts in Rarity’s head started to mellow out. Her breathing became more stable. The tension around her slowly unraveled. Then, she was left with a clear mind and a single question.
“Dad…?” she murmured. He answered with a hum. “W-What are you doing?” He didn’t answer right away. Rarity guessed he may have been asking himself the same question. "I-I have to be quick. If I don't do anything... I'll end up pregnant!"
“I know,” he answered. Rarity’s eyes widened, but he continued before she could speak. "When I realized it, I just... jumped in here with you." He took a deep breath, then hugged her even tighter. "I... want you. Not like a father wants a daughter, or even like a man wants a casual fling. I want to be yours… and you to be mine.” Rarity's eyes went wide, but her heart skipped a beat.
“W-What?” she asked. Hondo hummed, thinking about his next words in silence for a little while longer.
“I want to hold you like this, kiss you, tell you that I love you…” he kissed her on the neck and she purred. Even with her mind clearer than before, her body recognized him. “I want to have sex with you… cum inside you… and do it all over again.” He moved to the side, enough where he could see his face. It was bright red, but the light behind his eyes shone bright. “I want you to be mine. Because when I came inside of you.... when I saw your face… I thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Rarity studied his eyes. They were full of lust but she could also see sincerity. This wasn’t a statement thrown out in blind passion. The words he said were true, more than any he’d said since her mom left. Her hand pressed down on his and she gave him a squeeze.
“So...” he hummed. “Will you be mine?” His heartbeat thumped with her own. The grip she thought she had on caution began slipping fast. Until it was so far out of reach, she couldn't even see it anymore.
She widened her stance, letting him between her thighs again. Finally, she leaned into him, her mouth a hair’s breadth away from his ear.
“Fine then... Make me yours…” She purred. “Daddy …”
Time stopped. The look on Hondo’s face revealed his surprise. But it was only a second later when his resolve returned. He pulled on her thigh with one hand and opened the way to her pussy. It was still still dripping from his cum when he slid back in.
It was so different from before. The twitching of his shaft buried so deep inside her was much more authentic. The skin of his head rubbed against her walls, so soft and gentle. Just him pushing into her was enough to make her shiver.
And then he started moving. A whole new man held her in his arms. His lust had taken hold of him before, but now he ran on passion. He stuffed every inch he could get into her, then pulled all the way out to the tip. It was slower, but much more sensual.
Hondo made sure that every part of himself was busy pleasuring her. His hands found their way to her breasts again. In one hand he teased her nipples, while the other simply fondled to his heart’s content. He planted smooches on her nape that set her on fire with light moans and whimpers. Until he finally took her lips once again.
She wanted to indulge in him more. She turned her torso to the side and lifted her leg. Shifting on his own, Hondo took her leg in his hand, lifting it enough to expose her pussy on one side. The standing split gave them both a clear view of Hondo pumping her full of his cock. Rarity couldn’t keep her eyes off it. Taking it one step further, Hondo grabbed her ass in one hand, hoisting her upward and pinning her to the wall.
“God… I love you,” he murmured, eager to take back her lips. Rarity’s arms reached underneath his own, grabbing at the back of his shoulders. “So sexy… so tight…”
“Mmmh…” hummed Rarity, pulling him closer. “Harder … I don’t want to w-walk right for weeks …” He thrust in with more power than before. The sound of hips meeting ass filled the shower, drowning out even the water hitting the ground. “Y-Yes, just l-like that— hmm! More…”
Rarity looked up and watched Hondo carefully. His pumps were in time with his breathing. Sweat rolled down his neck as he exerted himself. His biceps flexed and tensed as adrenaline surged through his body. For the sake of pleasing her, he was working so hard. The thought made her heartbeat skyrocket.
“Baby... I’m…” Rarity could tell even without his warning. He throbbed violently inside of her, holding back the geyser building inside him. Rarity felt the same. For a moment, she thought about the guilt he’d place on himself if she wasn't clear right now. She bit down on her lip, resolving herself.
“Do it.” Her voice was barely higher than a whisper, but she knew he heard her. He grabbed her ass and huffed hard. “Breed me like the stud you are…”
Hondo let out a hefty grunt, then hilted himself as far as he could. His entire body shook in Rarity’s grasp. Then, a few moments later, he broke.
“Oh! Hmmm …” Rarity clawed at him, trying to keep herself from melting right there. “That’s it…! F-Fill me up… hmm…”He thrust into her again, spilling some of his seed on the shower floor. Only once he pumped her to the brim did Hondo slide out. It started dripping immediately, painting her ass and the wall white.
A few moments later, his grip on her loosened and he let her down. But when her feet touched the tub, she nearly fell over. He caught her with ease, then chuckled.
“Are you… alright?” Rarity pressed her forehead into Hondo’s chest and took a deep breath. Water ran down her back, cooling her off and calming her down.
“Yes... Yes, I’m alright,” she answered. She squeezed him, then pulled away from his chest, enough to look him in the eyes. “Well… I would like a kiss.”
“O-Oh…” Rarity smiled. He was back to his gentle self. His kiss was so gentle, but she didn't dislike it. It suited him more, she thought.
“Hmm…” Rarity huffed. She turned up the charm behind her pleading eyes. After all, she knew he was eager to please. More than that, he knew how to make a girl happy. “Let's go to bed.”
“R-Right,” he said. “You’re probably tired. We should call it a night.” Rarity chuckled, then slid her hand down his back.
“No…” She reached around his hip and his toward his cock. Now at half chub, it was still so sticky from their cum. Ignoring that, she gave it a few pumps. The small, twitchy response made her hum in delight. “I don’t want to stop until I drain these balls dry.”
“O-Oh!” She let him go soon after. He was already well on his way to full readiness. She brought her hand up to her lips, licking the mess away from each finger.
“That is to say… I don’t think we’ll be getting much sleep tonight.” She kissed him on the cheek, then moved to speak in his ear. “Is that alright?” He was fully erect again, now. His hands found their way back down to her butt, sloping over it before giving it another squeeze. Rarity giggled in delight.
“Guess I don’t have much of a choice.” Rarity hummed, then kissed him again.
“Nope.”
“Jesus. How long are they gonna go for?”
Sweetie Belle leaned back and rested her head on her pillow. Shifting in place a bit, she brought her phone up to her face, confirming her suspicions.
“You’ve gotta be getting tired soon, right? Not even Rumble’s this resilient.” She roused her other hand, which was idly brushing the walls of her pussy. The entertainment was great, but she’d already cum twice. Now, it was just something to do. “Oh? Looks like he came again. What was that, four?”
Hondo, who was spooning with Rarity, turned over onto his back. His cock slipped out, letting Rarity turn over as well. They sat next to each other, panting like they ran a marathon. The camera was good enough to capture even the sweat rolling down their bodies.
“Hmm…” Rarity put her head on Hondo’s chest, keeping him close. Then, she giggled. "I love you.”
“Me too,” Hondo mumbled, as Rarity leaned over for a kiss. Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes. She did so at every declaration of love they shared. But none of this actually annoyed her. This was only fuel to the fire Rarity was sure to find herself in if she tested her from now on.
Once they finally pulled away from each other, Rarity moved the hair from her face and got to her feet. She looked around the room for a moment, then found what she was looking for. A water cooler was provided by the hotel that charged to the room afterward. She bent down to open it as Hondo sat up in bed. His gaze was obvious.
“Oh my god…” Sweetie groaned as she watched his dick grow again. Rarity returned a short while after, handing him a bottle while saving one for herself.
“So excitable. And energetic…” She turned around, giving him another show with her swaying hips. “I bet you can’t wait to ravage me again, you animal.”
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t.” They chuckled, then shared their drinks. Sweetie dropped the phone to her right and then took a deep breath.
“Maybe it’s time for bed.” The yawn right after she said this confirmed it. So, she got to her feet and stretched herself out. “I’ll grab a shower, wake up early, then—”
“LOW BATTERY WARNING.” The alarm spooked Sweetie Belle’s soul from her body. With earbuds still in, the notification slammed right into her ears. She winced, then swiped her phone up from her bed. But, while reducing the volume, she realized that the scene from before had changed.
“Did you hear that?” Sweetie Belle’s heart jumped into her throat. “That… beeping sound?” She clutched her phone hard and glared at the display.
“Yeah, but where…” Hondo spotted it first. Sweetie hoped he was just looking around, but when his confused look focused on her, she knew she was cooked. “Is that… a camera?”
“Camera?” Rarity followed his gaze, eventually finding her. She reached up and plucked it from its spot.
“Is this the hotel’s?” asked Hondo. “No, they can’t do that. Then who?” The temperature in the room plummeted. Or maybe Sweetie just felt a chill as Rarity glared through the lens, putting two and two together.
“Earlier… Sweetie Belle handed you the room key, right?” Hodo thought for a second, then nodded. “Did you give it to her?”
“No, no, of course not!” he prattled. “I did think it was odd she had it… I thought I dropped it somewhere.”
“Interesting. Quite… interesting.” Surprisingly, Rarity’s expression was quite tame. She was even smiling. Sweetie Belle was far from relieved, though. She knew what that expression meant, after all. “Hello, Sweetie. If you are watching. I suspect we’ll have quite a lot to talk about tomorrow morning. But for now…” She stroked the camera with a small chuckle. “I’d get a good night’s sleep. It may be the last night you’ll ever be able to do so. Bye for now!”
And like that, the camera feed switched off, and a "no signal" message appeared on her phone’s screen. She stared at it for a little while longer, before letting it slip out of her hands and crash to the floor. She took a shaky breath, then put her hand over her mouth.
“I am… so fucked…”
Hondo rubbed his thumb over the smooth surface of a small, silver band. Once, it was so heavy he could barely lift it. But now that he could see its true form, it was lighter than a feather. Dull and worn from years of use, it had long since lost its shine. He raised it up to the light beaming into the kitchen from outside, but couldn’t see more than a faded hunk of metal.
The approaching footsteps grabbed his attention, making him lower the ring to the table. It clacked against the wood as a hot mug did the same. He reached out and caressed the hand wrapped around the handle with the same thumb. A pair of brilliant diamonds shinier than anything he’d ever seen looked down at him.
“You don’t have to do this every morning, you know?” he asked. His eyes fell down to her stomach.
“Don't worry. I don’t mind.” Rarity chuckled then rubbed a hand over her stomach. A notable bump had begun to form. According to the doctor, she wasn’t done growing, either. Hondo’s heart beamed with pride every time he saw her. “I can do something this simple, at least. And if the worst comes to pass, I’ll ask Sweetie Belle to fill in for me.”
“Uh… will that work?” he asked. “With the, um… restraining order and all?”
“You talking about me?” On cue, Sweetie strolled into the kitchen with a carefree pep in her step. The pair watched her slip into the kitchen and help herself to the bacon Rarity just finished making. “What’s up, Dad? Oompa Loompa?”
“I thought I made it quite clear I am not fond of that nickname.” Sweetie turned around, half strip hanging from her lips, and flashed a grin. A confident one, bordering on smugness.
“What’re you gonna do about it?” She reached into her pocket, retrieving a folded-up piece of paper. “One scratch on me, and the law will be up your ass deeper than Dad.”
Hondo sighed, but he couldn't completely fault her. The events of that fateful morning after their stay would stick with him forever. That was the day he found out what an inverted femur looked like. Sweetie narrowly avoided needing physical therapy. But, even after that, Sweetie Belle only managed to secure a restraining order for 15 feet. Neither of them knew something that small was possible. Still, if Rarity abided by it, it would give Sweetie a good headstart on the next town.
The step she took toward the kitchen almost guaranteed she wouldn’t. The second step made it more than clear. Sweetie jolted into action, stumbling over herself as she retreated to her room. She might have been pregnant, but her hands were still in very fine working order.
“I’ll just... make the coffee myself,” said Hondo. Rarity, who seemed satisfied with her display of strength, joined him at his side once again. Once she was close enough, he reached up and rubbed her stomach himself. She purred, which melted into a giggle. ”For what it’s worth… I think you look beautiful.”
“Of course you do, you flatterer.” Her hand covered his, and they shared their soft smiles. “Let me go finish breakfast.”
“Mhm,” he murmured. She left his side shortly after. She entered the kitchen, where Hondo watched her move from behind. He reached for the ring once again but paused. That ring was once so precious he couldn’t help but cling to it. He could still remember those dark days when even taking a breath weighed down on him.
But when he looked up now, he saw the shine he used to in the ring. The sun beamed down on her as if she descended from the heavens before his very eyes. Like she’d fly away if he didn’t grab her now. He lifted himself off of the table, leaving the ring behind, and made for the kitchen.
“Let me help, after all,” he said. Rarity perked up as he wrapped his arms around her. She hummed in delight, then turned her head to him, pecking him on the lips once again. “I love you, Rarity.”
“Mhm…” she hummed. “I love you, too, dad.”
