Luna shakes what her momma gave her!
Of Dancing and Crowds.
Load Full StoryNext ChapterPrincess Luna, the Bringer of the Night and Mare of the Moon had a problem. Well, two if she was being honest. First, in the thousand or so years she had been trapped on the moon, her knowledge of dancing and what was currently in vogue had completely deteriorated. Second, she had no idea how to be entertaining to crowds of her little ponies. Celestia was able to bring out cheers and joyous applause and laughter from the ponies, without any effort it seemed, and Luna wanted to be as well loved and welcomed as Celestia. She knew that that same desire is what caused her to be banished to the moon in the first place, but this wasn't born out of jealousy, but from a want to fit in and belong. She felt that if she could be on par with Celestia than she could make more friends, and thus, not be as lonely as she has been.
Her friendship with Twilight Sparkle and her friends had been a point of hope and personal pride for Luna, but she didn't see them as often as she would like. The duties of the Crown, and those of the Element Bearers seldom allowed for them to meet up as much as the younger diarch felt she needed. Failing a lucky break where she would have a chance to meet up with her Ponyville friends, she had to look for other resources to find the help she needed.
"Who do I know that is versed in working with, or perhaps for is a better word, a large group of ponies?" Luna mused to herself. Then it came to her. She smiled as this would allow the Princess to get the help she needed and also clear the debt that the pony in question owed to Luna. It was a perfect solution!
"Dear Trixie Lulamoon, the Great and powerfull.." Luna smiled as she wrote the letter. The showmare would be the perfect pony to help her with making a crowd laugh and cheer, especially if the mare's stories about her act being good before her reputation had been tarnished due to an incident or two in Ponyville were true. As she wrote, Luna wondered what she could add into the letter to make Trixie more receptive to her problem, other than the usual platitudes and compliments that ponies such as herself yearned for.
"I could always send a few bits. She's almost a money hungry as a Griffon... though.." Luna trailed off as an alternative came to her mind, "She may have had a turn of good luck and no longer is in as dire of straights financially speaking. Though, in that case she'd probably be willing to help without any form of payment aside from removing the debt she owes me." Luna concluded as the possibilities stretched out before her in an unlimited fasion. This would be fun, and since it would be fun, Luna would make it doubled! She couldn't wait!
