The Equestrian labyrinth. A mysterious forest lying near the city of new canterlot has been showing signs of a mysterious nature as of late. A forest of seemingly infinite depth. A bait to adventurers seeking glory and profit, only to find an early unmarked grave. Few advance to the lower floors. and none have found what lies under the labyrinth. But a team will rise.

Prologue

He galloped as swiftly as he could through the foliage from his aggressive pursuer. It might have been peaceful, had he not been running for his life. The earth pony could hear the repulsive grunts and slurps from the ghastly stalker. His heavy armor began to take its toll as he became fatigued and slowed to a trot. He could sense that soon he would be no better than his dead team members that he left back at the clearing. "Buck! This isn't good," he muttered to himself, half expecting his now-dead pegasus companion to reply with a jovial offset comment on him being to serious, and to watch his language. "sorry guys, there was nothing I could do," he now wished he hadn't ditched his pole-arm. At least with that he could do something on the dreadful abomination that slaughtered his whole team seamlessly. The rustling in the trees was drawing nearer, as was this unfortunate earth pony's demise.

This is just one of the growing number of casualties that wrought sadness, hopelessness, and unmarked graves. The growing number of adventurers has led to a growing number of deaths. The mysterious occurrences that plague this already out of the ordinary labyrinth has only spurred more interest, as unicorn scholars started to take interest into the strange nature of the Equestrian labyrinth.
