This was written for the Quills and Sofas L contest during their LGBT+ contest series earlier this year! This was part of a genre mash-up, with the genres being a prompt. The one I picked was 'Magical Realism', a genre where magic is typically just a standard, unexplained force in the story as if it was just a natural, unqestioned part of the world.
