Lilith the exe

I stick my face in the glass as I watch the buildings fly by. "So cool! Never been in a train before." I look to twilight whos sulking in a corner. "I'm sorry. I Thought you already knew about the wedding."

"It's not you that I'm upset at. It's my brother. You would think he'd at least tell me face to face and not in a letter."

"Maybe he had important business? What's that?" I ask as I see a pink wall approaching us. Pretty soon we passed through it which sent shivers down my body. "Brr. That felt weird." I stand up to go to my seat but the train screeches to a halt and I face plant into the floor. "Ow..."

"Oh dear. Are you okay?" Flutter shy asks me holding out a hoof.

"Yup. Couldn't be better." I take her...hoof as she helps me stand back up. I bust down the train door and streetch with a big grin. I let out an exhale and see that I'm met with a bunch of guards. A lot of them. Wonder why they didn't see them when we were pulling in. Or did I somehow miss a bit of time? Whatevs. I can see that they're trying to look stoic but they're scared of me. Not unusual. Maybe I could pull a little prank...I snap myself out of it. Unusual. Then I see Twilight trot off somewhere. I go to follow her but I remember that I haven't explored canterlot. I'm sure she'll be fine.

I fly off to the city. Thankfully the guards seem to know who I am and allow me to walk around. The streets are...different from what I've seen from pony vile. Mainly the ponies. They keep their head held high. Literally. They don't pay any attention to me which works in my favor. No screaming in terror. I open the door to a bakery and say, "lets eat." Upon entering I plaster my face to the display cases looking at the assortment of sweets. I see one I like. "How much is that cookie cake?"

"That'll be 20 bits."

"20 Bits?! ... Whats that?" I tilt my head slightly in confusion.

The clerk sighs and looks at me. "If you dont.have..the..." Their sentence slowed to a halt as they took in my appearance and then started stuttering. "D-dont wo-worry about it. Its on the h-house!" They hand it to me and flee to the back. Occasionally peaking back up to see if Im still there. I sigh and take my cookie cake and leave. I bite into it and savor that flavor of cookie and frosting mixed together. As I'm finishing it up I see a pink beam of light come from the castle area. I mumble to myself as I take one last bite and head towards there.

Flying over I dont see much but looking up, I do. Some weird bug ponies.

"..and do a little shake!"

I look to see twilight finishing some weird dance.

Twilight was distraught and a little suspicious that Cadance didn't remember her. They all heard a faint Bling and a louder one as Lilith appeared. Cadance yelped in surprise as Shining Armor went forward, horn glowing as he readied a spell. "What are you and how'd you get in?" Only Cadance and Shining Armor saw this but Lilith's irises flickered a bit.

"I'm Lilith. So Twilight, who are these two?" Lilith's attention seemed more focused on Cadance like they were confused about them being there.

"My brother Shining Armor and my foal sitter, Princess Cadance."

"OH! So you two are the ones getting married? That's nice. You sure though?"

"Sure about what?" Shining Armor asked.

"Marrying a Bug." Lilith's posture slumped a little as they stared at Cadance with a tilted head and smile. Cadance felt a chill run through their spine as they felt Lilith's eyes bare into their soul.

"Don't call her that." Shining Armor said defensively. Twilight took note instead. She'd never seen Lilith be like that.

"Right. My bad. Could be offensive term to her." Lilith finished the last bite of her cookie cake getting a bit of red frosting near their mouth. "Just be careful. Wouldn't want anything to happen to you." Lilith says licking the red frosting. With that she disappears with a teleport, creating the usual staticky red mist.

Throughout the day, twilight closly watches Cadance. Unbeknownst to Lilith, her irises would completely disappear at times. Usually when someone was scared of her or shooed her away cause of her appearance. Eventually Twilight tried to talk to her brother about it. Before she could, Cadance had took him to the back room. "We need to get rid of that creature twilight is associated with.

"Lilith? But she's been ok'd by Princess Celestia. She may be a bit rude but..."

"Are you disobeying me?"

Twilight watched as Cadance had used some kind of magic on her brother that made his eyes all wonky. She gasped. She knew something was wrong with Cadance. She tried her best to convince her friends but they wouldn't listen. So she turned to Lilith who was out on a balcony watching the stars. She told her that she had a plan to convince her friends that the current Cadance was a fake. "To lead off you'll start by telling every pony what you really see." Lilith thought about it for a bit. Their stomach sunk as they thought about it but agreed.

Its a solid plan she came up with but I don't know if they'll listen to me. I hope they do. We bust in when their appearently gonna start doing their vows. I already feel butterflies in my stomach.

"That isn't the real princess Cadance! Tell them."

"Right. That cadance is a fake. She's actually-"

"What is that creature?" the faker points at me.

"Kinda ironic you sa-"

"It emits pure evil! I sense no love inside it!" She says immediately cutting me off. "It's been tricking you all. It told me to play along so it could gain the throne and rule over equestria! It's even tricked twilight into believing it!"

Twilight and I are stunned. Twilight looking shocked seems to only help her case. But surely They'll notice that what she says contradicted to her asking what I am.

"So its true!" Rarity is the first to speak.

"What? N-no I-"

"I knew you were always evil!" Rainbow was the second to say something as she started flying.

"You really thought you could trick us?" Apple jack was next.

"C'mon you can't possibly..." I can feel it. All their eyes are baring into me with distrust. That's all it took for them to turn on me...? I can't really blame them but still. It hurts. It hurts so much. I may not of been here long but I still trusted and liked them a lot. So this is what it feels like to be painted as a villain by people you like. Its...soul crushing. My vision starts to blur as tears run down my face. I can't breath. I need to run. "No...I can't..."

"You can't what? Can't believe we figured you out?" Rainbow Dash says.

I feel a wall in my head break. I cant take it anymore.

They all watch as Lilith crouches a bit with her head in her hands as black fluid rapidly falls from her eyes. She lets out a staticky scream that reverberates throughout the castle, then they disappear in black mist. Twilight falls to her knees feeling utterly defeated. She doesn't know if Lilith will ever be back. She can only watch them walk by.

"It's okay twilight. I'll leave you here with Cadance so she can talk to you." Celestia says. They all quickly leave and close the door behind them.

Twilight turns to the fake Cadance with a look of determination. But Cadance casts a spell that makes green flame appear around twilight which sends her underground.
