//-------------------------------------------------------// Doctor Whooves and the Eye of Discord -by Xern- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Story of Skaro //-------------------------------------------------------// The Story of Skaro “Centuries ago, there was a planet known as Skaro. It was a beautiful planet with wonderful inhabitants. “The planet was lush and the perfect plant to live on. The water was the cleanest in the universe. The food was some of the best that I’ve ever tasted. “And the inhabitants themselves were a marvel to see too. Each held a power of an aspect of the nature and inhabitants of the planet. From the joy of the planes to the sorrow of those who died. There was someone how represented an aspect of nature or emotion. “All of this was upheld until a war broke out with another planet. The people of Sakro, being a more peaceful people, didn’t have enough to defend themselves. Even with their powers, they didn’t stand a chance. They lost the war and Skaro went downhill. “The weapons of the other planet used were made from a substance that leaves very harmful radiation. The shadow proclamation has since banned that type of weaponry, but it wasn’t in time to save Skaro. “One member of the Skaro was able to rise through the ranks at this point due to the chaos of this point. His name was Davros. His power was hatred. In this time of fear, hatred of the rest of the universe was high, and Davros, being the embodiment of hatred, used this to his advantage. “He used the citizens hate to turn them against the whole universe. He convinced them all to turn from their unique power to share his power of hate. They waged war against the universe. Davros created an armor for them all to use. He developed the armor to bring out the hatred and lust for killing in anyone who wore it. Every inhabitant wore the armor. Every one of them lost their identity and became warriors. Every one of them became Daleks.” “Daleks?” Discord repeated curiously. “Didn’t you say those were the creatures that fought you in that war?” The Doctor nodded. “They all turned to Daleks. All of them... except one. There was one inhabitant that didn’t fall for Davros’ hatful charisma... a child. The child’s power was also affected by the changing of the Skaro, but unlike fueling the hate in Davros, it fueled an odd type of joy in the child. At the time, the child was only 4 or 5, but he was one of the biggest threats to Davros’ plan because he showed they didn’t have to be hateful and could rebuild. “As one of the first acts of the Dalek empire, Davros ordered the child to be killed, and the brainwashed Daleks attempted to do just that. Luckily, somepony was able to stand in the way of this extermination. That pony was me. I was able to transport that child to a much safer planet. “Unfortunately, that’s the last remaining inhabitant of Skaro, and the child was so young, he likely doesn’t remember his own home planet. All the other inhabitants were killed the moment they put on the Dalek armor.” “What does this have to do with me and Screwball then?” Discord asked. “It’s an interesting story, sure, but you seem to be stalling as to why we shouldn’t just take the eye!” The Doctor sighed. “Perhaps this will help you understand.” The Doctor grabbed the 3D glasses off his head with his hooves and presented them to Discord. “Those things?” Discord questioned. “Yeah, I have my own pair too.” Discord showed his copy of the glasses. He put them on and waved his hand around his face. “It’s cool to see these particly things on my hands.” “That’s the thing,” the Doctor said. “These glasses weren’t made to read just chaos particles.” Discord put his hand down. “They weren’t?” “No.” “Then what were they made for?” Discord asked. The Doctor looked away. “You know, the people of Skaro could create wonderous things. Their powers could create things that related to the emotion or aspect of nature they represented filled that radiated that thing, be it joy, sorrow, survival, what have you. The only one that couldn’t was hate. Hate couldn’t create anything. Hate could only destroy. Because of that, hate radiated from beings of hatred. “With the Daleks being a big threat, it was commonplace to need something to warn of their arrival. The hate that radiated off them was so strong it could be seen for miles if given the right equipment. So these glasses were made to see the hatred of the Dalek. An unintended consequence of this was that it can pick up all radiation from the inhabitants of Skaro and their creations. Of course, this was mostly unknown because the inhabitants of Skaro were all gone. All except one.” As Discord listened, his face shifted in realization, horror, sorrow, and seemingly every other emotion wrapped into one. “Discord,” the Doctor started, “the child’s power was chaos. The chaos of Skaro had given the chaos filled child more power. Discord... you are the last child of Skaro.” Discord’s eyes began to well with tears. “D-does that mean...” His voice trailed off. “Yes Discord, the inhabitants of Skaro... were the draconequus people.” Author's Note Had some free time and decided to upload this chapter a day early, for those who don’t know, Skaro is a planet in Doctor Who, it was home to the Dalek, but I made up 90% of this lore for this version of the story. //-------------------------------------------------------// Epilogue //-------------------------------------------------------// Epilogue Discord waved a hand. “Bye Screwball. See you in a second.” Discord closed the door. Screwball sat in the Time Vault alone now. For the time she would be there, a brief fear took her that her father would forget her and leave her in the dark void for all of time. That fear was quickly quelled when she saw the light of the door opening and something being stuck out to help her back through the door. With the bright light, she couldn’t even see the silhouette of the other side. She took what she thought was Discord’s hand, but it was hoof shaped and felt metallic. Whatever it was, it quickly pulled her out of the time vault and back into the castle. Screwball let her eyes adjust to the brightness of the castle compared to the Time Vault. She looked around and her eyes landed on the pony who pulled her out. It was not her father. The pony was covered in a metal like armor. It was almost like a royal guard, but the ponies was covered entirely in the dull silver armor. It took a moment for Screwball to see it, but the “helmet” of the armor was only half complete, leaving the view of a lilac face inside the armor. The other side the helmet had what seemed to be a black eye with a bump next to it seeming like a tear line. “W-who are you?” Screwball asked. The face beneath the helmet smirked. “You can call my Cyberlight Glimmare.” A light seemed to appear on her metal armor coated arm. A portal then opened above the two mares' heads. “And I’m about to take you somewhere very important.” Author's Note And that’s a wrap on this story. Glad I was able to finish this story and not go on hiatus. Thank you all so much for reading. This is the second entry in the “Cyber Arc”, the next one is gonna be the last of the arc, but I have two other arcs planned after that. Get hyped and get in the Hearth’s Warming Spirit! See you in a few months. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Call From a Princess //-------------------------------------------------------// The Call From a Princess The sister princesses stood by the statue. The freshly made statue of Discord. He had been laughing when the two had used the Elements of Harmony on him. He was frozen in his laughing pose. The chaos that had covered all of Equestria began to recede. The world became normal again. “So,” Celestia started, “is that it?” “It would seem so,” Luna answered. “All of the chaos that covered Equestria seems to be gone now.” A stallion walked behind them. He wore a hat, jacket, and a multicolored scarf. He had a very curly mane, an hourglass cutimark, and seemed to be middle aged. On his face were a pair of what looked to be 3D glasses. He spoke. “I wish it were that easy but look.” He pointed to a small object on the ground. Most people would assume it was just a pebble on the ground. However, upon further inspection, it had the distinct shape and look of an eyeball. The pupil of the eye seemed to be a button. “What is it, Doctor?” Celestia asked. The Doctor looked down at it and carefully picked it up. “Well,” the Doctor began, “when the elements were used, Discord was stored in that statue, but what about the magic?” “Would it not just disappear?” Luna asked. The Doctor laughed. “Ah, but where would it disappear to? Even if it disappears, it would have to go somewhere. I believe this little eyeball is what the chaos magic is stored in.” “That little thing?” Celestia asked “How could it hold so much?” “That’s the thing about aliens,” the Doctor said. “They never conform to the norms of other worlds. They could, say, store moments in their eyes.” “Then we must destroy it!” Luna said resolutely. “If it stores the chaos magic, we must make sure it never is released!” “Well, that would be counterintuitive,” the Doctor stated. “If we destroy this ‘Eye of Discord’ it could release the chaos magic back into the world again.” “Then what do we do with it?” Celestia asked. “How do we know it won’t be destroyed and bring back all of the chaos again.” “I’ll take it,” the Doctor said. “I’ll find a place to store it on my home planet, Gallopfrey. Of course, I’ll have to find somewhere the rest of the Time Lords can’t find it, but I’m sure I can.” “Thank you, Doctor,” Celestia said. “If it weren’t for you, we’d never find the Tree of Harmony, and now here you are doing this. How can we ever repay you?” “Oh, don’t worry,” The Doctor replied. “All I asked is that you remember to govern your people well. I’ve seen too many nations fall from not caring about the people that live in it.” Both sisters nodded. “We promise,” Celestia answered. The Doctor smiled. “That’s what I like to hear.” He then turned to his ship, the Tardis. “Well, I suppose I should find a place to hide this. I’m sure we’ll meet again.” “Goodbye Doctor!” The sister princesses shouted as they waved at him. They stared at the Tardis until the engines roared and it disappeared. “I hope we see that stallion again,” Celestia said. “His knowledge might even rival Starswirl’s.” Luna chuckled. “Don’t let him know that or he’ll go hunting down the Doctor looking for a duel of wits.” Both sisters chucked as they walked away. ***** The Doctor woke from a dream. No, it was more like reliving a memory. He had woken up, decades after this memory, in his tenth form. He had spikey hair, a collar, a tannish coat, and his signature hourglass cutiematrk. He had just recently fixed his Tardis back to the point where it could travel through time and space once more. Just a week ago, he and his companion had stopped an army of Cybermares. However, after his first time travel adventure after a few years, he was exhausted. He was plagued with dreams of his past. Specifically, he was plagued with the memory of the Moment. The Doctor shook his head and simply walked around the Tardis, going through his morning routine. He thought of what adventures he could do today. Share a muffin with Derpy? Get more apples for the Tardis? Maybe finally take Rose on an adventure through time on the Tardis. The Doctor continued to ponder what he would do before he heard a knock on the door. He opened the Tardis’ door but saw nopony. He looked around until he heard a boyish, “Hello?” The Doctor looked down and saw Spike the Dragon, Twilight Sparkle’s loyal assistant. “Hello there,” the Doctor said, looking down at the young dragon. “Hi,” the dragon said. “I’m Spike, nice to meet you!” Spike put out a claw for a hoof shake which the Doctor accepted. “And you as well my scaley friend,” the Doctor said. “Now, what can I do you for?” “Oh yeah!” Spike said. Reaching behind his back, Spike pulled out a piece of parchment that was tied in a red ribbon. “Princess Celestia has summoned you.” The Doctor tilted his head. “Why?” He chuckled. “Did I break some law?” Spike giggled back. “Not that I know of. The letter just says that she wanted to talk to you about some eye.” “An eye?” The Doctor said. “May I see the paper?” “Of course!” Spike said. He handed the parchment over to the Doctor. The Doctor opened it and read the contents. “Dear my loyal subject, Spike. “Please tell the Doctor to meet me in Canterlot to discuss an important matter. I cannot disclose much of it but inform him it concerns the Eye of Discord. The Doctor resides inside of a large blue box in Ponyville. “Thank you very much. With regards, Princess Celestia.” The Doctor looked up from the paper with a shocked face. “The Eye of Discord?” he said. “Thats it,” Spike said. “I wonder what’s so important about Discord’s eye. Anyway, I better go. I’ve got a new Ogres and Oubliettes book that I’ve been dying to read.” He thought to himself for a moment and laughed. “Now I’m starting to sound like Twilight. Anyway, see ya!” The Doctor watched as Spike strolled away from the Tardis. He looked back at the letter and reread it. “It can’t be a coincidence,” the Doctor thought, “that after all of these dreams, Celestia wanted to discuss the eye. They must have some connection.” The Doctor ran to the controls of the Tardis and began the engine which started to roar. “Canterlot, here we come!” Author's Note Hey, been a while. I'm gonna try to post more often. I hope you guys like this story. Just so anypony reading that likes Doctor Who is wondering, the Eye of Discord in the story is the "Moment" from Doctor Who. I read that it's another name for it and ran with the idea. It'll be more clear when the rest of the story comes out, but I just put this here in case it wasn't obvious enough. //-------------------------------------------------------// An Eye for an Eye //-------------------------------------------------------// An Eye for an Eye After a short minute, the Doctor arrived at Canterlot Castle. He stepped out and saw a large drawbridge next to the Tardis. He looked around and saw several ponies scattered around the city, none of which were looking at him or the Tardis. The Doctor made his way to the drawbridge and walked across before coming to the courtyard. It was with several gardens all around. The main road led into the castle which was decorated with large columns of beautiful marble. The Doctor walked in and saw the long red carpets that led to the throne room, a large room with several stained-glass windows depicting major events in the Equestria’s history and, in the back, a large golden throne on which Celestia sat. “Ah, Doctor,” Celestia calmly said. “It’s so good to see you.” The Doctor chuckled. “Wow Princess, I’m surprised you even recognized me.” “Of course,” She chuckled. “Even after all this time, you still haven’t aged a day. You must tell me what you use to keep yourself looking that way.” “I haven’t seen you since I regenerated into this body,” the Doctor said. “How do you know that?” “Ahh, yes,” Celestia said. “I almost forgot you were a time traveler. Well, don’t worry, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen you like this.” She gave the Doctor a wink. “Well, I suppose I have something to look forward to then,” the Doctor said. “Now then, what was it you wanted to talk about.” “It’s about the Eye of Discord,” Celestia said bluntly. “Ahh yes, the eye,” the Doctor said, remembering the original topic of this meeting. “You know, my people found out about it and gave it a different name. They called it ‘The Moment.’ I think it was because stored the chaos into a single moment.” “I’ll keep that in mind,” Celestia said. “Now, what about the Moment did you want to talk about?” the Doctor asked. “I know where the Moment is, it’s back on my home planet.” “Yes, but there’s... another one,” Celestia said, hesitating. The Doctor looked at princess Celestia. It looked as though all the stages of grief were repeatedly playing through his head. “What do you mean there’s another!?” “Months ago,” Celestia started, “Discord escaped his stone prison. Surely you saw it.” “I must have been out of town that day,” the Doctor said, listening intently. “I rallied Twilight Sparkle and her friends to use the Elements of Harmony to trap him once again.” Celestia looked towards a window with Twilight and her friends defeating Discord. “However, in all the commotion, I completely forgot about the Eye of Discord that spawned after he was turned to stone.” “How could you forget!?” the Doctor yelled out. “I didn’t expect Discord to escape, I’m afraid,” Celestia explained. “Besides it’s been a millennium since I last even saw the eye. This used to be handled by a service that worked under me.” “And what service was that?” the Doctor asked. “It was a monster and alien hunting organization I founded called Torchwood,” Celestia replied. “They helped with several magic and extraterrestrial problems before they were disbanded due to a Bugbear escaping.” The Doctor thought to himself. This sounds like what Bon Bon described in the other timeline, he thought. He wondered if those are the same. Celestia continued, interrupting the Doctor’s pondering. “Luna watches all the dreams of the night, and last night, Luna saw your dream. It reminded us both of the Eye of Discord.” “Do you have any clues as to where it could be?” the Doctor asked. Celestia shook her head. “No, I’m afraid that we have no idea, but it isn’t safe if we don’t know where it is. The only lead we have is that it should be in Ponyville near where Discord was turned to stone, but there’s no way that it stayed there.” “Well, this would be much more difficult if I didn’t have a time machine,” the Doctor said, smirking. “I’ll bring the eye here, then we’ll know where it’s been all this time.” “Thank you, Doctor,” Celestia said. “But don’t worry, we won’t send you alone. We’ve got someone who can go with you.” “Really?” the Doctor asked. “Who’s that?” “You could say he knows a bit about this subject,” Celestia said, giggling for a second. The Doctor didn’t have to ponder what she meant by that for long, as the door to the throne room opened. Two creatures began walking in. The first was a yellow Pegasi with a long pink mane. The Doctor could immediately tell that she was Fluttershy, the one who wore the element of Kindness. The creature right beside her was even more recognizable. It was a serpent like mashup of several creatures like a dragon, pony, bat, and several others as well. It was the Draconequus known as Discord, the lord of chaos. “Now Discord,” Fluttershy started, “Princess Celestia asked you to help with this because it IS your fault.” “Oh, but do I have to?” Discord asked. “I’m sure this physician would be fine without my help!” “No Discord,” Fluttershy said. “Princess Celestia has done so much for you, so it’s only nice for you to do this.” “Thank you, Fluttershy,” Princess Celestia said. “And by the way,” the Doctor looked at Discord. “I’m the Doctor.” “Doctor, physician,” Discord said. “Same difference.” “I disagree,” the Doctor stated. “A name can make all the difference. It’s how I was able to get away from a platoon of Judoon on the moon several years back.” Discord gave a look of surprise before smirking. “So, your name is ‘The Doctor’ huh? That’s funny. I seem to remember the pony that helped the Princesses turn me to stone was also called ‘The Doctor’. But you wouldn’t have any idea about that, would you?” “Well, I would hope so,” the Doctor replied. “If I didn’t, my head might be going bad, and we can’t have that now, can we?” “Ahhh, so good to meet you finally!” Discord said in an exaggerated tone. “I’ve always wanted to meet the pony that was responsible for the thousand years I spent encased in stone. Let me just say, thank you.” The two scowled at each other for what felt like hours before Discord said, “But hey! You look good, it’s been, what, a thousand years? And you somehow look younger than you did back then!” “I suppose that’s what happens when you’re a time traveler,” the Doctor retorted. “Ooooo, a time traveler,” Discord mocked. “I gotta say though, I loved your old outfit much more. That scarf especially.” “Well lucky for you, I still have it,” the Doctor said, starting to lose his patience. “Now now, both of you,” Celestia started. “You should be more cordial with each other if you’ll be partners on this mission.” “Partners!?” Discord and the Doctor exclaimed. “Yes,” Celestia said. “I figured that the best way to find the Eye of Discord was to use Discord himself.” “So you want me to go on some big adventure with a pony that helped turn me to stone!?” Discord yelled. “Haven’t I done that enough!?” “With all due respect princess,” the Doctor said to Celestia, “I only allow creatures aboard the Tardis if I approve them, and I do not approve of Discord to board my ship.” Princess Celestia looked at the Doctor with a grim face. “Doctor, if Discord can go with you, it could prove easier to find his eye before it could get in the hands of somepony that would use it for evil. Surely, I don’t have to tell you about the harm it can cause.” The Doctor didn’t speak for a moment. He just pondered Celestia’s words and the impact of an eye being somewhere in Equestria. “Okay,” the Doctor said. “Discord can come with me.” “What!?” Discord yelled. “Don’t I get a say in this?!” Celestia smirked. “Oh, I was just telling Fluttershy that if you went, I’d give you this one-of-a-kind tea.” Discord’s attention peaked. “One-of-a-kind? How so?” “It’s my own special recipe,” Celestia answered. “I infused it with my magic, so you don’t even have to heat it up. My magic can almost make it taste like you're tasting the sun.” Discord’s mouth was watering. “That is something I’ve always wanted to do.” Discord thought for a moment before yelling out, “FINE! I’ll go! But I want that tea hot and ready when I get back!” Celestia chuckled. “Don’t worry Discord, I’ll start making it now.” Fluttershy walked up to her friend. “Discord, be sure to be on your best behavior for the Doctor.” Discord rolled his eyes. “I’m serious! He gave you an exception that he doesn’t give to most creatures. Treat him with respect.” Discord let out an exaggerated sigh. “Okay, I promise that I’ll treat him with the same respect I give everypony.” Fluttershy smiled. “Thank you. And please be safe, Discord.” “Don’t worry,” Discord said, “I will.” “Good," Fluttershy said. She looked over to the Doctor and said, “You too, Doctor.” After that, Fluttershy began to walk out of the castle. Afterwards, the Doctor looked to Discord and asked, “Do you treat anypony with respect?” Discord looked at the doctor with a condescending smile. “I do not.” Author's Note Got another chapter for ya. Trying to post every Friday. I’m almost done with the fic, I’ve just got another chapter or so to write. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaotic Traveling //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaotic Traveling “Thank you for taking on this journey, Doctor,” Celestia thanked. “Well, I don’t have much of a choice now do I?” the Doctor asked. “Unless of course I want to threaten all of Equestria.” “Even still,” Celestia replied, “I thank you for taking this task. “What about me!?” Discord cried. “Don’t I get any thanks!?” The sounds of thunder like crackling could be heard as he spoke, like his magic was adding an extra layer of intensity. “Thank you too, Discord,” Celestia added. Discord’s thunderous sounds immediately stopped, and he returned to normal. “Ahh, thank you Celestia,” Discord said with a chuckle. “Now, let’s be off.” Discord then summoned an umbrella out of thin air. He opened it and he created a breeze that blew him out the door. The Doctor looked at Celestia with a frustrated expression. “He will be useful to you, I promise,” Celestia whispered. The Doctor rolled his eyes. “I’m sure,” he said before trotting out the door. Discord was standing outside of the castle walls, his umbrella replaced with binoculars. “So where should we start looking?” Discord asked, looking around with his binoculars. “We’ll go to the last place where we know the eye would be,” the Doctor said. Discord’s binoculars disappeared as he looked bored. “Fine, can you teleport, or do I have to take you?” “That won’t be necessary,” the Doctor replied. “We’re not only looking where it was last, but when as well.” Discord’s interest was reinvigorated as he peered at the Doctor. “Oh, that’s right! You’re a time traveler. That’s great, now where is your time machine?” Discord’s binoculars reappeared as he started looking around again. “I can’t seem to find it.” “Come with me," the Doctor said. The Doctor walked over to the blue box that was sitting just next to the castle wall. “Is this new?” Discord jokingly asked. “I don’t remember the castle having this phone box here. It looks too old to be new though. It really needs a new coat of paint or something. Whoever put this here clearly doesn’t have any new style.” The Doctor pulled a key out and opened the box. “Oooh, this is yours?” Discord asked with feigned ignorance. “I’m SO sorry.” They both walked in, and Discord saw how much bigger it was on the inside. “Wow, it’s much bigger on the inside. How... chaotic!” “Welcome to the Tardis, Discord,” the Doctor said. “This is my time machine. Now, neither of us want to be together, so let’s get this over with.” The Doctor trotted over to the controls in the middle of the Tardis. “So, when were you turned into stone?” Smirking, Discord got an idea. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe, a thousand and twenty years and seven months in Canterlot.” The Doctor, not completely listening to what Discord was saying, punched in the coordinates. “Alright,” he said. The Tardis’ engine roared as the ship started moving. The ship stopped and the Doctor started walking to the door. It wasn’t until just before he opened the door that he realized the trickery. When the Doctor opened the door, he saw Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and a previous regeneration of himself standing in front of the statue of Discord. “Oh, very funny Discord!” the Doctor said, annoyed, after closing the door. He ran over to the console and pressed a button and the engine started yelling. “We’re going back to the present. We can’t be seen.” The engine eventually stopped. Discord rolled his eyes. “Oh, lighten up.” Discord snapped his fingers, expecting a comedy and tragedy mask to appear on Discord and the Doctor’s head respectively. But nothing happened. “What?” Discord asked. “What happened?” “Nothing,” the Doctor replied, “and that’s the point. A few centuries ago, I put a field around the inside of the Tardis. Nothing chaotic can be made in here.” “Wow,” Discord snickered. “Why put so much in just to Chaos proof this thing.” The Doctor fiddled with the console more. “Chaos is more powerful than you’d think,” he replied without looking up. “You don’t say,” Discord said, trying to think of other ways to mess with the Doctor. “Now,” the Doctor said, trying to stay calm despite Discord’s pestering, “when and where were you turned to stone?” “20 years ago,” Discord said plainly. “You’re not fooling me again!” the Doctor yelled. “When and where!?” Discord rolled his eyes and sighed. “You’re no fun, you know that?” The Doctor stared at Discord for a moment before the Draconequus relented. “Fine, it was just about a year and 6 months ago. It was in the center of Ponyville.” The Doctor smiled. “See, was that so hard?” He fiddled with the console some more before pulling a switch. “Now then, allons-y!” Once again, the engine roared and the Tardis was moving yet again. ***** After a moment, the Tardis landed. The Doctor went up to the door and opened it slightly. The outside was a sight to behold. The ground was an odd checkered pattern of blue and pink. Buildings that were once rightside up were now upside down. Chocolate rain was falling from the sky. The animals looked almost grotesque. It was entirely chaotic, and that was how the Doctor knew he was in the right place. He looked around until he eventually saw Discord in the Center of town. Discord walked up. “Ooo, there I am!” he said. “I’ve always wanted to see myself in person. I gotta say though, I look much thinner than I expected. I guess the camara does add 10 pounds.” Discord stuck his hand outside of the Tardis and created a camara before taking a picture of himself and the Doctor, keeping the camara outside so it wouldn’t be destroyed from the chaos field in the Tardis. The Doctor pulled Discord’s hand back which caused the camara to disappear. “Have I told you you’re no fun yet, Doctor?” “I can’t have you mucking the timeline up,” the Doctor said. “At least, not yet.” He went to the back of the Tardis where a chest was sitting. He rummaged through it for a few seconds before pulling out a pair of paper 3D glasses. “What do you have those for?” Discord asked. “Is a movie gonna come up soon?” Discord thought for a moment. “Actually, maybe I should have a pair then!” Discord ran to the chest before the Doctor closed it. “Not for movies, I’m afraid,” the Doctor said as he slipped the glasses. “These glasses help me see chaos particles.” He looked towards Discord. “For example, there are hundreds of particles surrounding you.” Several small black particles surrounded Discord. They were typically invisible, but with the glasses, they could be viewed. “I thought you said that chaos couldn’t exist in this box,” Discord said. “Creations of chaos,” the Doctor corrected. “Those cannot exist in the Tardis. However, chaotic creatures, like yourself, can.” Discord rolled his eyes as the Doctor walked to the door. With his glasses on, he poked his head out of the door. The Doctor had to squint a bit. The whole area was surrounded by the black particles to the point where it was hard to see anything. After a minute, he looked towards a group of ponies standing near the past Discord. It was Twilight and her friends with the elements of harmony. Discord also poked his head outside and saw the group. Since they were outside the Tardis, Discord grabbed the Doctor’s glasses and made a copy of them for him to put on. Discord looked around, saw the chaos particles, and smiled at it. “Oh, I do love a world of chaos.” “Ok,” the Doctor said. “We just need to wait a minute. Once those six turn you to stone, we just need to trot over there and grab the eye. Then, we can be back before anyone knew we were here.” Discord rolled his eyes. “You’re no fun. I’ve always wanted to go to the past. Why don’t we sneak out and go on a quick adventure.” “No!” The Doctor said firmly. We can’t dawdle when it comes to that eye. It has the power to destroy Equestria and beyond.” The Doctor looked back at the scene outside and beam of rainbows were launched at Discord and the world seemed to go back to normal. “Seems it’s about time we go.” As the world was fully restored to its former glory, a bright light was shot out that blinded the Doctor and Discord for a moment. The two looked back and Discord was a statue, and the world was back to normal. The Doctor put on his glasses again and saw the chaotic energy was near the statue of Discord. “Brilliant!” the Doctor exclaimed. “Now we just need to wait for the ponies there to move and we can grab the eye.” After a few minutes, the ponies moved out of the way, and the Doctor and Discord started to exit the Tardis. “Wait a minute,” the Doctor said. “You shouldn’t be seen out there!” “Why not?” Discord asked. “I got myself all dolled up just to come here.” “You just sent the world into chaos,” the Doctor explained. “If they saw you again, they’d call Princess Celestia in an instant. You need a disguise.” The Doctor thought for a moment before getting a great idea. “Discord, can you shapeshift?” “What do I look like?” Discord asked. “A changeling?! Just because I have chaos magic doesn’t mean I can do everything!” After a moment, Discord said, “But yes, I can.” “Okay then, how about you transform into a fez then I can wear you and no one will realize who you are.” Discord gagged. “A fez? Really? Those are so two centuries ago.” The Doctor frowned. “It’s either fez, or you stay in the Tardis.” Discord let out a long heavy sigh. “Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.” The Doctor smiled again. “Great.” The two walked out the door, and when Discord walked out, he turned into a fez (with a small face) which the Doctor swiftly caught and placed on his head. As the Doctor put on his glass to look for the eye, he made a horrible discovery: there were no chaos particles near where the statue was. The Doctor looked around franticly in search of the eye. As the Doctor continued his search, he heard a voice from his fez saying, “You might wanna look at this.” The Doctor looked at Discord (who had his own mini pair of glasses on) who indicated to look up. In the sky, there was a trail of chaos particles that seemed to go to Sweet Apple Achers. “What?!” the Doctor exclaimed. He took his glasses off and put them back on. “What!?” //-------------------------------------------------------// Eyes to the Sky //-------------------------------------------------------// Eyes to the Sky “What!?” the Doctor yelled once more. The Doctor looked at the black chaos particles in the sky. The tail of it seemed to be fading away. “Follow that trail!” “Looks like a pegasus or something took it,” Discord said. “No,” the Doctor gritted through his teeth. “The eye alone couldn’t radiate that much chaos magic. It must be amplified by something else.” He looked up at the fading trail as he began trotting to Sweet Apple Achers. “There must be something else with lots of chaos magic. We must find it before it goes off.” “It’s fine,” Discord said. “I mean, it hasn’t gone off in the present, so it won’t go off now.” “Don’t you get it!?” The Doctor screamed at his fez. “The Eye of Discord doesn’t care about timelines. It doesn’t matter when you use it, it’ll destroy the past, present, and future of a planet. It’ll destroy a whole galaxy with its chaos if it’s allowed.” “How do you know?” Discord asked. “I could hear you and Celestia talking, and you said that my first eye is back on your home planet. How do you know what it can do if it’s still there?” “Because the eye was used on my planet!” the Doctor shot back. The Doctor had to stop trotting to catch his breath, both physically and mentally. “It was during the Time War and my people were losing. All the enemy forces were at my planet. If they landed, they’d wipe out all of my people and move onto the rest of the universe. “I was there. I was on Gallopfrey the day the Dalek would wipe out the Time Lords. But it was there. The eye.” The Doctor paused. “I had to do it. If I didn’t, Gallopfrey would have been destroyed anyway. The Dalek’s were there too. All of them. Time Lords too. They all died. Time Lord. Dalek. The eye... no... I killed them all. I was the only one that was able to make it out alive. I’m the only survivor of the Time War. I won.” This whole time, Discord said nothing. While the Draconequus was normally one to make light of situations, even the god of chaos wasn’t cruel enough to kick a pony while they were down like this. “If that thing activates, it’ll destroy me, you, and every creature in Equestria and beyond! It’ll kill all of us and there’s nothing we, nor Twilight and her friends, can do to stop it once it starts. I won’t let what happened to Gallopfrey happen here as well,” the Doctor spoke. After a minute, Discord transformed from a fez into a parrot (with the 3D glasses still on). “I’ll go scope ahead to see where it went.” The Doctor gave a wordless nod as Discord flew off. Discord thought as he flew to follow the trail. He thought about Fluttershy and the way she, and to an extent the others, made him feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. He knew he wanted to save them and didn’t want to be on his own again. Though, while thinking about this, he couldn’t help shaking the thought that despite the acceptance they gave him, he still felt different from them. While he didn’t want to admit it, he understood the Doctor’s loneliness. ***** The Doctor stood there for several more minutes before continuing to trot to Sweet Apple Achers. He continued onward, tears marks down his cheek. He looked back up to the sky, hoping the trail hadn’t vanished yet. When he did, he saw the parrot Discord flying around an apple tree. “The trail ends here!” he said. He was right. The faint bits of a trail that there were ended into the apple tree next to Discord. The Doctor jumped the wooden fence in front of him and looked up at the tree. “How am I going to get up there?” he thought aloud. As he said this, the ground beneath him started to leave. He looked down and saw that he was levitating! The Doctor began to freak out before he looked up to the parrot above him. “I think you forgot you were with the lord of chaos,” the parrot said. The Doctor chuckled and continued to levitate up. After a moment, they were both inside the middle of the apple tree’s branches. The leaves and apples covered up the trees so much, it was hard to see past them. They acted as shields to keep anypony from seeing what was behind them. As he ascended, the Doctor whispered to himself, “Let’s see what you are.” When he got to a point where he could clearly see the inside, he didn’t expect what was there. He expected some terrifying, winged, chaos creature Discord had made to be in the tree and ready to attack, but what was there was... a mare. She was a pink Earth pony with an indigo mane and tail; however, that’s where the similarities to a normal pony end. She wore a hat propellor hat and had purple eyes with spirals. Her cutiemark was of two items: a screw and a baseball. Though the oddest thing was that, despite being an Earth pony, she was hovering in the air. The Doctor had barely any time to comprehend this as, between her two front hooves, he saw that the mare was holding The Eye of Discord. The Doctor immediately put his hoof up, as if to show that he wasn’t a threat to her. “Hello there,” the Doctor said. “What’s your name?” He asked this question to calm the mare down. As he looked at her, he saw that she looked scared, hyper, and paranoid, like something bad would happen any second (which, to be fair, would happen if she accidentally unleashed the eye). “I-I-I'm Screwball,” the mare said. “W-w-who are you!? Are you trying to t-t-take me away!?” The Doctor kept his hoof up. “We’re not here to hurt you, we just need that eye.” Screwball’s eyes widened. “The eye!? No no no!” She started to back away slightly from the Doctor. “This is the only thing I have left of daddy Discord!” The Doctor was confused. He didn’t realize that Discord’s creations saw Discord as a father, but in hindsight, it made some sense. Before the Doctor could respond, Discord finally made it up. “You know, it’s a lot harder to fly into a tree than birds would have you believe. Sorry that took so long. So, what do we have here?” Screwball looked at parrot that had just flown up into the tree. “Daddy?” She asked. “Are you my daddy?” “I’m sorry?” Discord asked. Screwball looked at the parrot Discord with a mixture of relief and horror. “B-b-but daddy Discord was locked in stone!” The Doctor pulled Discord over. “Discord,” the Doctor started. “This chaos creature. It’s more sentient than most of your chaos creatures. She sees you as a father figure. I think that that she has the mind of a scared child.” Discord raised an eyebrow, though the eyebrow went up so high, it came off his parrot face. “And why do you think that?” The Doctor thought for a moment before he spoke. “Most chaos creatures you make either aren’t sentient or are just augmentations on existing creatures like chaos bunnies or squirrels. But Screwball here seems to be a fully sentient and fully chaotic being. She has the mind of a child because she IS a small child.” “Well, what do you propose we do?” Discord asked. “We just need to talk to her.” The Doctor began to look back as he spoke. “Okay Screwball, here’s the...” Before he could finish his sentence, he noticed that Screwball was nowhere to be seen. “Oh dear.” Author's Note Good news! I’ve just finished writing the story! I’m gonna continue putting out one chapter every Friday. I’m currently working on the next story. I’m hoping for it to be a “Hearth’s Warming Special”, but no promises. //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmonic Chase //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmonic Chase The Doctor quickly jumped out of the tree and threw his glasses on. He looked around the sky and saw a trail of chaos particles. At the end of that trail was Screwball flying away, seemingly in fear. The Doctor began to trot after her again. After a minute of trotting, the Doctor couldn’t feel the ground beneath his hooves. He looked down and saw he was levitating once again. He looked to the side and saw that Discord was flying next to him. The Doctor quickly got used to it and began to chase after Screwball with Discord at his side. They flew from Sweet Apple Achers all the way to town hall. Then they flew around Golden Oaks Library and Surger Cube Corner. For a moment, they went straight up and flew through Rainbow Dash’s cloud house were luckily no one was home. It was a wonder no one in town saw them, but many weren't looking to the sky after the chaotic day the Discord of that time presented. They went from Rainbow’s house to Fluttershy’s cabin where Screwball then led them to the middle of the Everfree forest. Screwball dove down to try to lose them to the trees and ended up landing near the, at the time untapped, Tree of Harmony. The tree was a beautiful sight to behold. It looked like a crystal glass tree with lights hanging from its branches. On the tips of the branches were slots where the Elements of Harmony were meant to go and would in the coming year. At the base were small black vines with sharp thorns that seemed to be crawling up the tree. The vines seemed small now but would soon take hold of the whole tree. The Doctor looked to Discord. “Your doing I presume?” Discord then changed from a parrot to an owl. “Who? Me?” The Doctor and Discord approached Screwball, who had nowhere else to fly to now without being intercepted by one of the two. “Discord,” the Doctor said, “you don’t need to keep yourself hidden now. There isn’t anypony out here.” Discord then transformed from an owl to his normal, chaotic self. “Daddy Discord!” Screwball yelled out with love. She began to fly forward to hug the Draconequus, Eye of Discord still in hand. However, before she hugged him (and while the Doctor was worried she’d drop it), she stopped and looked at Discord before backing away again. “H-how are you here? I saw you turn to stone!” “It’s a bit wibbly wobbly,” the Doctor said. “Bit confusing really.” “We travelled back in time to get that eye from you,” Discord said. The Doctor looked back at him. “Well, I suppose when you simplify it down that much it sounds a bit less complicated.” “No! You can’t have daddy Discord’s eye!” Screwball yelled. “I don’t know who you are, but if you were my daddy, this whole place would be normal!” The Doctor and Discord looked around. “It is normal,” the Doctor said. “No, it’s not!” Screwball yelled. “The sky isn’t pink! The ground isn’t checkerboard! There’s no chocolate rain! None of this is normal!” The two thought for a moment before the Doctor understood. “This isn’t normal for HER.” “What do you mean?” Discord asked. “She was born when you made Ponyville chaotic,” the Doctor explained. “She thinks the chaotic world you made is normal, and this normal world is chaotic for her.” “Okay, so why does she still hold on to that eye?” Discord asked, looking at the stone in the scared mare’s hooves. “Is it just because she misses me? The Doctor thought. “I don’t think that’s the whole story. The Eye of Discord took in all the chaotic energy. She must have grabbed it right before it took her in. If she lets go of it, her chaotic energy would get dragged in. She has to hold it or she’ll, in a way, die. The only way for chaotic energy to escape the Eye of Discord is for the eye to open. Otherwise, the energy just radiates around it, but never leaves.” The Doctor looked at Screwball. “That’s right, isn’t it?” The, now teary eyed, mare nodded. “Is that it?” Discord asked. “Well I can just recreate her easy.” As he said that, he snapped his fingers and a near clone of Screwball was summoned. “No Discord,” the Doctor groaned. “That’s not how it works.” Discord snapped again and the other Screwball disappeared. “Then how does it work? Please enlighten me.” “Normally,” the Doctor explained, “it does work like that where it you can snap her in and out of existence. But because the eye is trying to take up her chaos magic, she’ll be stored in it instead. Screwball is the last remaining entity with this type of chaos magic. When it gets taken up, any creations of chaos would be stored in it, including their memories. If you were to try to recreate one of them, it would be a copy. You wouldn’t be bringing them back; you’d just make a new version while the original is trapped in the eye.” “Weren't you the one that wanted to take the eye back no matter what?” Discord asked. “Why are you so gung-ho about not just taking the eye back now?” “Because I didn’t realize that the chaos creature that had it was a sentient being,” the Doctor said. “Screwball here is last of this type of chaos creature. If we were to take the eye away from her it’d be... well... it’d be extermination. She’s the last of her kind... like me.” Discord turned away. “I wish I could relate.” The way he said it sounded like he wanted to sound like he was joking, but he really was sorrowful and felt bad for the others... and himself. “Don’t you?” the Doctor asked. Discord raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?” “Surely you know the feeling of being one of the only things like you in the universe,” the Doctor said. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” “C’mon Discord,” the Doctor said. “Surely you’ve seen there aren’t any other draconequuses anywhere in sight.” Discord paused. “No, I haven’t.” In truth, he’d spent many nights wondering if he truly was the only one. For a moment, the Doctor was silent. “Discord, there’s something I’ve been needing to tell you for a long time now, and I’ve been dragging hooves on it. Please just promise me that you’ll try to understand why I want to keep Screwball alive.” Discord’s interest had peaked. “I’m listening.” The Doctor sighed. “Okay. I need to tell you the story of Skaro.” //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ideal Solution //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ideal Solution Tears streamed down Discord’s face. He looked at the Doctor and didn’t know what to feel. The Doctor walked over and put a hoof on the weeping draconequus. He understood the pain of losing all of the people of your species. Even though the extermination of the draconequus was several hundred years ago, the Doctor understood that to Discord this was a new sense of grief that the lord of chaos was going through. Screwball stood there too. She had taken in what the Doctor had said. While she wasn’t draconequus, she still felt the pain of Skaro’s story being a creation of the chaos magic herself. “Why...” Discord started. “Why did they all want to kill me?” The Doctor sighed. “They were brainwashed by Davros. Whatever he wanted done, they’d do it. And because you didn’t obey his commands...” The Doctor’s words trailed off. “And the Dalek...” Discord started to say. “You said they all died.” The Doctor nodded. “The eye killed more than just the Timelords. It wiped the Daleks out too.” Discord nodded. “Then they’re all dead. We’re the only ones left.” The Doctor gave a small laugh. “The last survivors.” Small tears started to fall from his eyes too. At that moment, both the Doctor and Discord felt something around them. It was hooves. They looked to their sides and saw Screwball there hugging them both, the Eye of Discord still in her hoof. They stood there for a minute. All of them just stood still in the embrace, tear stains on each of their faces. The Doctor was the first to break out of the embrace. He looked at Discord and Screwball as they stood like stone together. Discord then stood up further and looked at Screwball. He examined everything about her, seeing that he truly had created this chaotic mare. She was a beautiful creation. “I understand now Doctor,” Discord said. “I understand why you didn’t just want to take the eye from her. She really is alive. Alive and well.” The Doctor smiled at this true reunion of father and daughter. Discord’s face became more serious. “What do we have to do to keep her and the eye safe?” The Doctor’s face did the same. “Ah, now there’s question, isn’t it? We can’t take the eye away from her, but we have to make sure she can’t accidentally set it off.” “I’ll be super careful!” Screwball pleaded. The Doctor sighed. “I’m afraid that’s not enough.” “If only we could attach it to her somehow,” Discord said. The Doctor thought. His face lit up. “Maybe we can!” The Doctor started trotting away. “I just need to get to my Tardis an-” Before he could finish his sentence, he slammed headfirst into the Tardis. Discord had seemed to snap his fingers while he was running and summoned it in front of him. In that moment, the Doctor was very happy he hadn’t made the outside chaos proof like the inside. The Doctor ran inside and rummaged through several chests until he found the bottle. He bolted out and presented the liquid inside. “This is azbantium!” the Doctor presented. “It the hardest thing in the universe being 400 times harder than diamonds.” He then poured a shiny liquid into his hooves and moved it around. “And I have a special version of it.” He pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and pointed it at the liquid. Instantly, it hardened and became a solid stone. “This was originally used by a galaxy police force to make hoofcuffs that hardened around a creature's hooves. I was able to snag a small amount of it. If we surround the Eye of Discord with it and attach it to you, the radiation from the eye should still come off the eye and stabilize your form and leave no way to set off the eye. How does that sound?” Screwball’s eyes lit up. “That sounds wonderful!” “Great!” the Doctor said. “So where would you like the eye to go? On your arm? On your back?” “Can I wear it like a necklace?” Screwball asked. “I don’t see why not,” the Doctor responded. “Discord, hold the eye in place while I put the azbantium on.” Discord complied and put the eye near the bottom of Screwball’s neck so it was still touching her. The Doctor began pouring the metal liquid around her neck. He worked his way down until he got to the bottom of her neck. He covered the eye with the liquid and grabbed his Sonic Screwdriver. He pointed the screwdriver at the liquid before it could run off and it solidified. Discord took his hand away and looked at Screwball. Despite the eye not being in her hoof, she didn’t disappear. Discord picked Screwball up and embraced his daughter in a hug. After a moment, the two separated and both looked back to the Doctor. “What now Doctor?” Discord asked. “Well, I’d say our mission is complete. We were able to secure the eye, I don’t see any reason why we need stay here.” The Doctor looked at Screwball. “Now then, the only thing we need to figure out is what we do with you.” Author's Note Sorry this one took a while. I meant to upload it Friday but the internet wasn’t working. Hope you guys enjoy! //-------------------------------------------------------// Back in a Sec //-------------------------------------------------------// Back in a Sec “What do you mean?” Discord asked. “Can’t we just take Screwball back with us?” “Can you make something with your chaos powers for me?” the Doctor asked. Discord raised an eyebrow but complied. “Sure,” he said as he made a rubber clown's nose and gave it to the Doctor. The Doctor walked over to the Tardis and threw it in. Immediately, it disappeared as it entered the threshold of the Tardis. “There’s a field around the interior of the Tardis. No chaotic creation can exist inside of it.” “But I have this eye,” Screwball said. “True,” the Doctor admitted, “however, while the eye does radiate enough chaotic energy to keep you stable, against the anti-chaos field, it does practically nothing.” “We can’t just leave her here,” Discord stated. “You’re right,” the Doctor agreed. “We need someone to make sure that she and the eye are safe. If we get anyone from the past, it could be harmful for the present.” “Well then what can we do?” Discord asked. “Unless you have another time machine, it seems like we’re at an impasse.” The Doctor thought hard about what to do next. He thought of primitive methods of time travel that ponies used in the past. One in particular stuck out. “Time vaults!” the Doctor yelled out. “Time vaults?” the other two questioned. “Time vaults tap into the powers of limbo,” the Doctor explained. “Limbo traps who or whatever is there without moving time. Typically, it’s a curse. Think of how the Crystal Empire disappeared for a thousand years before coming back with none of the residents ageing.” “But it’ll trap me?” Screwball asked. “Normally, yes,” the Doctor answered. “But if we make a doorway to limbo, we can open and close it as much as we want.” “How do we do that?” Discord asked. “First, we need to find where to make the vault,” the Doctor said. “Where do you propose we do that?” Discord asked. The three looked around and saw the Castle of the Two Sisters in the distance. “I’d say that’s a good place to start,” the Doctor replied. ***** After a moment, the three were in the castle and the Tardis outside (after Discord teleported them there). The Doctor walked in a maze-like pattern. He went through several rooms before stopped at a wall. “This is where we’ll put it!” “Why here?” Discord asked while looking around the shabby castle. He looked at the blank wall. The castle had been abandoned for close to a thousand years. Many chunks of the wall were broken and the curtains around the castle were a mess. “Simple,” the Doctor said. “It’s so no one else will find it.” The Doctor looked back at his companions and saw they didn’t fully understand. “Very few ponies ever come through the castle to begin with between now and our present.” The Doctor began to run his Sonic Screwdriver over the wall. “However, for the few that do come through the castle, it’s important that we stay out of their way. So we’re putting the vault deep within the castle.” “Makes some sense I suppose,” Discord replied. “But what are you doing with that screwdriver?” The Doctor looked at his Sonic Screwdriver. “Well you see, this place has a strong connection to the Pony of Shadows. The Pony of Shadows is currently in Limbo which gives this castle a connection to Limbo. I’m using my Sonic to exaggerate the connection. If I do that, it’s easier to create the pocket dimension for the time vault. And that’s where you come two come in.” “Us?” the other two asked. The Doctor walked over to them. “I’ve broken down the barrier as much as I could, but we still need to make the pocket dimension. Discord, I need you to make a portal to an empty pocket dimension right here.” The Doctor pointed at the wall. “Because of where it is, some of Limbo’s energy will leak into it, and freeze time when the portal is closed.” The Doctor then looked at Screwball. “Screwball, I need you to stand by wall while Discord is making the portal. Since you have the eye, it should radiate chaos energy that will stabilize the portal and get the dimension used to your chaos energy. I’ll use my screwdriver to keep the barrier down.” The two nodded and got into place. Discord stood parrel to the wall, ready to open the portal, while Screwball stood next to the wall with her “necklace” on it with the eye radiating onto the wall. The Doctor stood next to the wall too with his Sonic Screwdriver to keep the wall at a point where the portal could be made. After a minute, a portal was made on the wall and a large black void was seen inside of the portal. The Doctor looked at Discord. “Make a door! Now!” Discord did as told and made a door over the portal. It looked like the other doors in the castle (though anyone who would open it thinking it was a normal door would get a large surprise). The Doctor looked back to his companions. “And that’s how you make a time vault.” “And how do we know that it works?” Discord asked. “I, for one, don’t want to leave Screwball in there alone if it won’t speed time up for her. I’d rather not leave her without food or water for a year and six months.” “A fair question,” the Doctor replied. He looked around the floor and saw a pile of pebbles. He opened the door and threw some pebbles into the portal before closing the door immediately after. “If the time vault doesn’t work, those pebbles will have flown several yards away by now and lost most of their momentum. However, if it works...” He opened the door. “The pebbles stayed in the same place and have all of their momentum.” It was as the doctor said. With the door opened, the pebbles continued flying further through the void. “So it works!” Discord cheered. “But will it hurt?” Screwball asked. The Doctor thought for a moment. “That’s a good question. We made it pretty quick, so it might feel odd.” He thought a moment longer. “Guess there’s only one way to find out!” The Doctor quickly ran towards the portal and pulled the door close as he jumped in. Discord and Screwball looked at each other before Discord pulled open the door. As he did, he saw the Doctor in the void midjump and beginning to swim through the void. “For a Time Vault we constructed quickly,” the Doctor started “this doesn’t feel too bad.” He then swam to the door and left the void. “So, are you ready Screwball?” Screwball looked at the Doctor, the void, and then Discord. She looked back at the Doctor and nodded. “Then let’s get this show on the road!” Screwball began to walk towards the portal but stopped. She looked over at Discord and flew over to him. She wrapped her arms around him in a hug. “I love you Daddy Discord.” Discord looked down at his newly found daughter, returning the hug. “I love you too.” She let go and flew over to the portal and went in. In the void, she turned back and waved her hoof. “Bye daddy.” Discord waved a hand. “Bye Screwball. See you in a second.” Discord closed the door. The Doctor and Discord stood by the door for a moment. “You okay?” “Yeah... I just need a second.” ***** After putting a scratch on the door so both of them could remember which door it was the Doctor put a lock on the door. “Sonic lock,” the Doctor explained. “Only a Sonic device can unlock it which, trust me, is rare around here. We don’t want anypony but us getting in.” Discord nodded. The two made their way back to the Tardis which was just outside the castle. The Doctor threw on the controls and set it for just moments after they left the present. The Tardis’ engine flair up and the Tardis started to move. As they flew an uncomfortable air was in the Tardis. “So, you have a daughter now?” the Doctor asked. Discord chuckled. “I guess I do now. I never considered the chaotic creations of mine like my children. I never thought I could even be a father.” “What are you going to do now?” the Doctor asked. “I don’t know,” Discord admitted. “You have that chaotic plane with your house, right?” the Doctor asked. “Why don’t you take her there? I’m sure she’d love the chaos there.” Discord looked at the Doctor with a smirk. “How do you know about that place?” The Doctor laughed and explained, “I’m a time traveler.” Discord laughed back. The Tardis returned to its uncomfortable air. Discord looked back at the Doctor. “I’m sorry.” “For what?” the Doctor asked. “I was rude to you all the way here. I mocked you, doubted you, called you names. And you saved my life!” “Ahhh, don’t worry about that,” the Doctor said nonchalantly. “If I had a bit for every time somepony was rude to me and I saved them, I could make somepony very rich.” “You reunited me with my daughter,” Discord said. “That’s something I won’t forget. Thank you, Doctor. Thank you so much.” The Doctor nodded. He felt selfish to admit it, but it always felt good to hear someone say thank you. After a few minutes, the Doctor and Discord landed back in front of Canterlot castle. “Before we go back to the Castle of the Two Sisters, we probably need to go back to Celestia to let her know the eye is safe,” the Doctor said. Discord grumbled a, “You’re right,” before the two of them made their way to the throne room. “Ah, I see the two of you are back safe and sound,” Celestia said. “I just saw you a moment ago.” “I know!” the Doctor replied. “Isn’t time travel brilliant.” Celestia laughed. “Yes, I suppose it is.” Celestia dropped the smile a bit and showed a more serious face. “Did you find the Eye of Discord?” Discord stepped forward. “I assure you Princess Celestia, the eye has been found and delt with.” “And where is it now?” Celestia asked. “Don’t worry,” the Doctor replied. “We made sure that it’s in a safe place where it won’t be set off.” Celestia smiled. “I trust you, Doctor.” She then turned to Discord and her horn lit up, a tea bag then appeared levitating next to her. She floated the bag over to Discord. “As promised, here is your tea.” Discord grabbed the bag and put it in what seemed to be a pocket he created at his side. “Thank you very much Celestia.” Celestia giggled. “No. Thank you, both of you, for finding and securing the Eye of Discord. Now, peace can fully reign throughout Equestria again.” Both the Doctor and Discord bowed and walked away until Celestia called the Doctor back in. “Tell me Doctor, how was Discord?” Celestia asked. “I know he can be a hand full, but I hoped he was able to somewhat help you on your mission.” The Doctor looked back at the door that he knew his draconequus friend was behind. He looked back at Celestia. “He was a great companion.” Celestia smiled and nodded. “That’s all I needed to know. Thank you, Doctor, you are dismissed.” Discord stood outside the castle as he waited for the Doctor. He looked back and saw the Doctor walking towards him. “So, ready to go back to the castle?” The Doctor thought for a moment. “I think it would be better if you went on your own.” “But how do I open it?” Discord asked. “You said I can only open it with your screwdriver. The Doctor thought and brought his Sonic Screwdriver up. “Here, make a copy of my Screw Screwdriver. It should still work on the lock.” Discord looked at the sonic before holding out his hand and creating his own. “Are you sure you don’t want to come with me?” The Doctor laughed. “Oh sure. This is your story, not mine. Besides, I’ve got something I need to do.” Discord nodded. He turned away to go but stopped. He turned back. “Thank you, Doctor.” After that, Discord disappeared, teleporting to the Castle of the Two Sisters. The Doctor looked back at where Discord stood before turning to the Tardis and walking in. He thought of the past few days. Taking on Cybermares, finding the Eye of Discord, reuniting father and daughter. He had done a lot in the past few days after the Tardis was repaired. He thought back to the two ponies who had taken him on adventures while he didn’t have the Tardis. He had already taken Derpy on an adventure in the Tardis, but there was one mare he hadn’t: Roseluck. He thought of where she’d like to go. After a minute of thinking, a jolly idea came into the Doctor’s head. He set the coordinates in the Tardis to pick her up. He didn’t want any more distractions. Author's Note Hey gang, thanks for reading! I’ve got a short epilogue planned after this. I’m working on the next entry as we speak. If all goes according to plan, I should be done by December, but I might have to wait until January. Again, thank you all so much for reading. If you guys have any questions, comments or critiques, just put it in the comments. Thank you guys!
