"ugh...what...what happened...?" Justin mumbled in a graveled and echoed voice not his own, his eyes widening in surprise as he notices the change in his voice, as well as the fact he seems to be in a cave.
"H-huh?! Where am I? What happened to my- why do I- WHY DO I SOUND LIKE SONIC?!?!" Justin exclaims in shock as he holds out his clawed and gloved hands, shocked that his voice has changed to be a near perfect replica of Sonic the hedgehog's.
"Wait a second.... I need a reflective surface now!" Justin exclaimed as he looked around himself, smiling as he sees a small lake, and as he looked in, her immediately backed away in fright.
"FLEETWAY?! HOW! H-How is he- wait..." Justin murmurs as he notices the Fleetway reflection appears to be copying his every movement, Justin's eyes widen in a shattering realization.
"Is...is that me?" Justin asked as he reached up his gloves a n clawed hand to feel at his face. "It...it is me...how..?"
Justin shakes his head before gaining a small smirk. "Wait, if I'm Fleetway now, does that mean... CHAOS CONTROL!" Justin exclaims as he disappears in a flash of light, and reappears a few feet Infront of his previous position.
"It worked...hehe, I can use chaos energy, CHAOS SPEAR!" Justin shouts as he feels a build up of energy in his hand, Justin smirking as he waves his hand as a yellow energy projectile shoots out and hits the wall of the cave.
"AWESOME!! Wait, does this mean I can..." Justin mumbled as he jumps into the air and closes his eyes as he focuses, not feeling the ground beneath him, he slowly opens his eyes as he lets out a joyous laugh at what he sees; He. Was. Flying .
"I can fly!!! So cool!" Justin exclaims as he begins to fly around in circles in the cave, noticing the small lake beginning to form a whirlpool, indicating just how fast he was moving.
"Woah...I'm so- what was that?" Justin murmurs, his eyes widening as he hears screams, screams that sound as if they are coming from terrified children, and as if his body was acting on its own, Justin immediately flies out of the cave towards the screams.
"C'mon, c'mon, C'MON!! where are they?!" Justin exclaims in frustration and worry as he flies through the dark forest at mach speed, his hedgehog ears twitching as he hears the screams coming loud and clear from his left.
Justin immediately turns his flight path to the left, his eyes widening as he spots three little horses huddled together as what appears to be a giant wooden wolf stands over them hungrily.
"Hey! Why don't you fight something your own size!?" Justin shouts as he instinctively curls into a ball as he strikes the wooden wolf in its chest, sending it staggering back, Justin then lands on the ground Infront of the three horses, who Justin is now able to identify as fillies.
"Hey, are you three alright?" Justin asks as he takes a step forward, only for the fillies to scream again.
"AAAAHHH! DONT EAT US?!" The fillies exclaim in fright.
"Hey, hey, calm down, I ain't gonna hurt ya, I'm friendly, yeah, I know I look scary, but I'm just a big spikey hedgehog, the names Fleetway Super Sonic, but you can call me Justin." Justin introduces himself as he sits down on the ground, crossing his legs with a calm smile, making sure to hide his sharp teeth as to not scare the fillies even more.
"Y-your not goin' ta hurt us?" One of the fillies asked, the filly having a yellow coat and a red mane with a large pink bow on her head.
"Nu-uh, wouldn't even think about it, heh, trust me, I get why your scared of me, I freaked out when I saw my reflection, I mean, my eyes are spirals for chaos sake!" Justin chuckles, smiling as he notices the fillies starting to calm down.
"Say, I don't think I got your names, why don't you three introduce yourselves, it might help you calm down." Justin suggests with a shrug. "But first, let's get outta this silly forest, it's not a good place for fillies like yourselves to play."
"R-right, um, i-im Scootaloo, you've already talked to Applebloom, and this is Sweetie Belle, it's nice to meet you, Justin." The second filly, Scootaloo, speaks, sporting an orange coat and a bright purple mane, as well as small wings.
"Y-yeah, w-what Scootaloo said..." The last Filly, Sweetie Belle nods her head, standing up besides her friends, her coat is pure white with a curly pink and purple mane, a small horn on the base of her forehead.
"Alright, do you three know how to get out of the forest?" Justin asked as he stood up and looked around.
“A-ah do, we ain't too far from mah family Apple farm.” Applebloom mumbled as she raised her left hoof.
“Good.” Justin nods his head as he picks up Applebloom, and places her on his head. Justin then picked up Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in each of his hands, wrapping his arms around their midsections. “Alright Bloomie, you point, I run.”
“R-right, it's t-that way…” Applebloom stutters as she points her hoof to the west.
“Alright, now be prepared to hold on tight, cause we gotta go fast!” Justin exclaims, waiting a moment to make sure the fillies hold on tight before smirking with his razor sharp teeth as he bursts forward in a Super sonic sprint.
“Whoa!!!” The three yelled in surprise as they went through the forest, weaving in between trees faster than the speed of sound, and before long, the fillies found themselves standing In Front of a barn.
“This the place, Bloomie?” Justin asked as he placed the fillies on the ground.
“Y-yeah, w-wow yer fast.” Applebloom said with a wobble as she tried to keep balance.
“Yeah, I guess, sorry we took so long, I'm not really used to this speed either, heh.” Justin chuckles, the fillies eyes widening in shock.
“Wait, that was you going slow!?” They asked in shock.
“Yeah, didn't really want to accidentally run through any trees and get you lot hurt…” Justin chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head as a voice rang out from behind him.
“Who in Tarnation are you!?” Hearing this voice, Justin quickly turns around to see a larger pony wearing a cowboy hat and a lasso in her mouth running right at him, the mare freezes when she sees Justin's eyes. “W-what the…”
Justin smiles awkwardly before turning back to the fillies. “...do….do you three know her?”
“That's mah sister Applejack!” Applebloom said with a smile. “AJ it's ok! Justin is ok!”
“No it ain't bloom! Git away from them ya vermin!” Applejack exclaimed as she tossed her lasso, the rope wrapping around the fillies and pulling them to her.
“Hey!” The three yelled.
“Now y'all listen and y'all listen good, ah don't know who, or what ya are, but ah ain't gonna let you hurt mah sister an her friends!” Applejack exclaims as she trots up to Justin.
“What? But I-” Justin started to say with an frown, only to be interrupted as Applejack suddenly turns on her front hooves and bucks Justin right in his chest, causing a cloud of dust to rise up around him.
“Uh, what was that supposed to do?” Justin mutters with a tilt of his head as the dust scatters, revealing him to be completely unharmed.
“What in Tarnation!?” Applejack yelled in shock.
“It's nice to meet you, Miss Jack, my name is Justin, I do apologize for my appearance, I have to admit it spooked me quite a bit myself when I saw my reflection earlier today.” Justin chuckles as he holds out one of his hands.
“That's what we've been trying to tell you, Applejack! He saved us, he's nice!” Applebloom yelled angrily.
“Relax Bloomie, she was just looking out for you three, sides, what did you expect with me looking like this, heh.” Justin chuckles with a shrug of his shoulders.
“Bloomie? And saved y'all? What are ya talking about?” Applejack asked with a deep frown.
“Well, I saw these three about to get eaten by a weird wooden wolf thing, so I kicked it and then carried them here from that forest over there.” Justin explains as he points to the dark and gloomy forest in the far distance.
“What!? A timberwolf!? What were you three doing there!?” Applejack yelled at the three fillies.
“I'd like to know that as well,that forest is definitely no place for fillies.” Justin agreed as he turned his gaze to the three fillies.
They gulped a little and looked away nervously. “W-we were looking for our cutie marks…”
Justin tilts his head in confusion as he asks. “Cutie Mark? What's a cutie Mark?”
“You don't know what a cutie mark is!?” The three yelled in shock.
“We can talk about that later. Ahm sorry fer attacking you.” Applejack said.
“It's fine, like I said before, I wasn't surprised that you did attack me.” Justin replied with a grin. “Though… Do you know where I am? I just woke up in some sort of cave with a weirdly reflective pool lake thing in it.”
“Huh? Yer in the Ponyville.” Applejack said with a raised eyebrow. “And strange cave with… wait the mirror pool!?”
“Is that what it's called?” Justin asked with a tilt of his head.
“Did ya look inside it?” Applejack asked, frowning.
“...yeah, so?” Justin asked, confused.
Applejack frowned a little before rubbing her chin. “Ya didn't touch the water did ya?”
“No? Why?” Justin mumbled, growing even more confused.
“Good, that pool makes a clone of whoever looks inside the water and touches or reaches into the water.” Applejack said with a nod.
“I-.... Remind me to stay as far away from that pool as possible…” Justin murmurs with a shudder.
“What's wrong?” Applebloom asked him, frowning while still tied up.
“...that….isn't something fillies should hear…” Justin spoke, looking away with another shudder as he unties the three fillies.
Applejack frowned a little as she watched him.
“All I can say is… I'm not exactly from this world…” Justin explained, Applejack's eyes widening at this revelation.
“What are ya talking about? Yer and alien?” Applejack asked, frowning deeply.
“Kinda?” Justin answered with a helpless shrug.

“Um… why Applejack?” Sweetie belle asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Well, ah don't know about you girls, but ah ain't know nothin’ bout no alien business, Twilight did mention she was goin’ ta research Tha' stars a few days ago so she might be able ta help.” Applejack explains with a tip of her hat.
“I don't think I'm from space.” The hedgehog said with a confused blink. “Or maybe I am? I don't know how I got here.”
“An that's why we're goin’ ta Twilight.” Applejack spoke resolutely.
“Um, ok.” He said with a small shrug. “But… where does this, Twilight, live exactly…?”
“The library in town.” Applebloom said with a small smile.
“oh… how are you planning on getting me there? I mean, it's pretty obvious taking me on a walk through town would just cause a panic.” Justin asks with a frown as he tilts his head.
“We’ll put ya in the cart with the apples and cover ya up.” Applejack said.
Justin blinks before chuckling and shaking his head again, this time with a small grin. “Yeah, no. There would be too many variables for that to work, here, I've got an idea of my own that might work.”
“Like what?” Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It's an ability I have, it lets me teleport to a place I can think of, but not only that, I can also teleport to places that others think of, all that is needed is physical contact.” Justin explains as he raises his left hand.
Applejack backed away a little. “What in Tarnation makes ya think ahll let y'all touch us!? We just met ya!”
“Wh- NOT LIKE THAT?! I meant I needed to place my hand on your back to form a link! You know, so we can teleport INSIDE the library?” Justin recoils as he sticks out his tongue in childish disgust.
“Not like that ya git!” Applejack yelled with a blush. “Ya just admitted yer an alien! We don't know if ya got any diseases that could spread ta us through contact!”
“....I'm wearing gloves though?” Justin mumbled confusedly with a tilt of his head. “And I already picked up those three as I carried them over here, so…”
Applejack groaned a little as she face hoofed. “That don't mean… whatever just do it.”
“Alright, just think about the inside of the library, you three can come to, I know you got some questions you want answered.” Justin shrugs before placing his hand on Applejack's back.
The CMC rushed over and huddled next to AppleJack as she thought about the inside of the library. Justin nodded before exclaiming. “CHAOS CONTROL!”
The group stared in surprise before they were all teleported to the inside of Twilight's library, Justin looking around as he sees a circular table in the middle of the room surrounded by a wall filled with books, as well as a staircase that leads to an upstairs area, and stairs leading to a basement on the other side of the room.
“Huh, this is the library, right?” Justin asks before turning to the four ponies and noticing their expressions. “Uh…why are you looking at me like that?”
“Chaos… control?” Applejack asked slowly, slowly backing away from him. “Ya work for Discord don't ya!”
Justin blinks once, then twice, then turns to the fillies. “...what's a Discord?”
“He's the spirit of chaos and disharmony.” Applebloom said slowly, while slowly hiding behind Applejack.
“Ah. Welp…I should probably stay away from him… I do NOT want to know what he can do to the chaos energy in me…” Justin mumbled to himself as he tapped his chin in thought.
“Chaos energy?” Sweetie belle asked, looking at him with a confused frown.
“E-heh… well, from what I can remember about myself… I'm not technically alive like you four are… you see, I exist because of the energy generated by seven artifact gems called the Chaos Emeralds.” Justin explains with an awkward chuckle as he notices someone coming down the stairs. “Oh, who's that?”
“Applejack, girls? What's going… on?” A purple unicorn mare asked as she slowly walked down the stairs, pausing as she saw Justin.
“Twilight, we found an alien!” Scootaloo said with a grin.
“...hi.” Justin speaks, before being coated in a purple aura and thrown into a wall as the purple unicorn mare known as Twilight, shrieks in fear.
“What is that thing!” Twilight shouted, before appearing in front of the others. “I'll hold it back, you four go get help!”
“.......Nice to meet ya too…” Justin mumbled with a huff as he crossed his arms and pouted.
“Twilight stop! He's our friend, he saved us!” Scootaloo yelled, getting between Justin and Twilight.
“Scoots. Calm down, I'm fine.” Justin reassured, shrugging to prove his point.
“What? Saved you?” Twilight asked in confusion, looking between the girls and Justin.
“I kicked a large wooden wolf then carried these three to Apples over there.” Justin shrugs as he lazily points at Applejack.
“Mah name is Applejack.” Applejack said with a frown before looking at Twilight. “He says he's an alien.”
“I just said I'm not from this world, don't know if I'm from another planet or entire universe yet.” Justin clarifies with a shrug.
Twilight looked at them all in disbelief before tapping her chin. “That… shouldn't be possible. There's never been any proof of other life in the universe.”
“Oh, I know. But seeing as I am talking to sentient talking pastel ponies in the body of an overpowered anthropomorphic hedgehog… I'm pretty sure I'm nowhere I remember…..at all.” Justin deadpans as he rolls his eyes… unnoticed by any of the others due to the spiraling nature of his eyes.
Twilight frowned at him before tapping her chin. “I'll have to run some tests to be positive you don't have any harmful diseases a to us.”
“.....I'm gonna be strapped to machine, aren't I.” Justin murmured, looking at the fillies, deadpanning as they giggled.
“Most likely.” They said as Twilight started pacing around while thinking.
“...do any of you know what she's saying?” Justin asks, confused at the many, many large words the purple unicorn was saying.
“Something about tests and experiments.” Scootaloo said.
“.....yeah, I'm just gonna…” Justin murmurs as he walks over to the rambling unicorn… and boops her on the snout.
“What was that?” Twilight asked, her muzzle scrunching up.
“You were rambling…. Plus you ponies are cute.” Justin answers with a shrug.
Twilight blushed a little and frowned at him. “Please don't do that again.”
“...alright, sorry, heh.” Justin chuckles as he rubs the back of his head.
Twilight sighed a little and shook her head. “I'll have to write to Celestia about this.”
“Hm?” Justin hums as he looks at Twilight. “Who's Celestia?”
“She's the top princess in the land.” Twilight said with a hum as she began writing a letter.
“I- wait, Princess?! There's royalty here?!” Justin exclaims in shock.
“Of course there is, don't you have royalty where yer from?” Applebloom asked him with a confused look.
“No??? Well, I know the world this body is from had royalty, but the world I am from doesn't…” Justin mumbled as he scratched his head in thought.
“Wait what?” Twilight asked with a frown. “Your body and mind are from two different worlds?” ds?”
“Yup. Though…it's kinda a bit more complicated than that….it's probably a good idea to send a letter to Celestia, any anyone else you think would be important to know about me, cause I really do not want to have to explain this more times than I have to….” Justin mumbled as he scratches his chin and looks off to the side.
Twilight frowned more as she quickly wrote a letter. “Barb!”
A few seconds after Twilight's shout, a short, and pleasantly chubby purple feminine dragon runs down the stairs as she looks at Twilight. “Yes Twilight?” the short dragoness asks, not noticing Justin.
“I need you to send this letter to the princess.” Twilight said, passing the letter to the dragoness.
Barb takes the letter and nods before blowing a puff of green flames over the letter, causing the letter to turn into a cloud of magical dust that floats up and out of a window, Barb then turns to Twilight and asks. “What was the letter about, Twilight?”
“Him.” Twilight said, pointing at Justin, who chuckles nervously with a small wave. “...Hi.”
Barb stared at him in surprise for a while, before smiling nervously and waving at him with an unnoticed blush. “H-hi.”
“So. Now what.” Justin mumbled as he begins to stretch.
“Now we sit and wait for the princess, but I do have some questions for you.” Twilight said while pulling out some paper and notepads and a pencil, all the while Barb just stared at Justin with a small blush on her face.
“...eh, I've got some time to spare, so sure! Under the condition that for every question I answer, you gotta answer one of mine, I'll ask them all at a later date, deal?” Justin asked as he stretched some more.
“That's fair enough.” Twilight decides with a small smile.
“So, what's your first question, sparkles?” Justin asks as he begins to stretch his arms and hands.
“What are you?” Twilight asked, while Barb blushed more at the stretching.
“Right now? A Mobian, specifically, a hedgehog Mobian, Mobians are essentially anthropomorphic animals of all shapes and sizes, and sometimes, very rarely, they gain unique traits and or abilities.” Justin explains as he begins to do leg exercises.
“Alright, what kinds of abilities do you have?” Twilight asked, writing what he said down.
“Ah. That's….a long list…probably best saved for when everyone gets here.” Justin murmurs as he continues his prolonged stretches, Twilight raising an eyebrow at this.
“What for?” She asked, looking confused.
“...well, there's a lot that I can do that no normal mobian can do, and it's not under my own power either… and I'd rather everyone be here when I explain it after seeing how ms. Applejack reacted to the source of my power.” Justin explains as he begins to stretch his fingers.
Twilight nodded slowly before Barb spoke up. “U-um isn't it his turn to ask questions?”
“...I completely forgot about my side of the deal there, heh.” Justin chuckles to himself before gently patting Barb on her head. “Thanks for reminding me, bud.”
Barb blushed more and nodded timidly as Twilight smiled a little. “Right, sorry. What are your questions?”
“Hm, well, the main thing I want to know right now…what is the name of this kingdom? The leaders of this kingdom? And lastly, the name of the planet.” Justin asks as he notices Barbs timid blush and can't help but be captivated by it.
“Oh, um. Equestria, princess’s Celestia and Luna. And Equis.” Twilight explained while Barb looked away bashfully.
“Hm…nope, not familiar in any way, man, I thought that could have given me at least something to work with…” Justin mutters with a pout, causing Barb's face to glow a faint red for a short second.
“So you've never heard of this world?” Barb asked him quietly. tly
“Nope.”Justin admits with a shrug before a thoughtful look comes across his face. "Hm, actually, now that I think about it, I should do something really quick."
"Huh? What do you mean, Justin?" Barb asked in curiosity, Twilight turning her attention to the glowing hedgehog as well.
"A precaution thing, y'know, cause almost every interaction ove had when meeting someone new usually ends with them attacking me." Justin answered before closing his eyes before muttering in an echoed tone of voice. "Chaos Tranquillity. " Justin mutters with a translucent blue glow emerges from Justin's chest and extends to everything within the library leaving a feeling of...calm.
"Oh! That's...admittedly smart Justin." Twilight admits smiling softly as the sense of calm washes over her before seconds later, a knock is heard on the front door of the library.
“Come in!” Twilight yelled.
The door slowly swings open, revealing six ponies, two of them vastly different from the others, both sporting both wings, and a horn, the taller of the two has a pristine white coat and an ethereal multicolored mane, while the shorter has a dark blue coat and an ethereal night sky themed mane.
“Princesses!” Twilight said with a smile, trotting over and nuzzling the white one.
“Tis is nice to be meeting with thee again, bearer of magic, we hath come once we received thy message!” The dark blue pony princess exclaimed with a smile as the taller princess nods her head in agreement.
“Yes, where is this… alien?” The taller one asked.
“That. Would be me. It is an honor to be meeting you two.” Justin speaks with an overdramatic bow.
The two looked at him in surprise along with the other four mares. “There is no need to bow.”
“Oh…eh..heh, heh…. Hi.” Justin murmurs as he blushes embarrassingly as he looks off to the side with a small wave of his hand.
“Wow, you're cool!” A pink mare said bouncing over to him. .
“I-.... Thank you???” Justin mutters in confusion. “Uh… what are all of your names again? I only know you two are princesses from how Twilight referred to you when you walked in.”
“I'm Pinkie pie!” The pink one said.
“My name is Rarity darling.” The white unicorn said with a nod.
“F-fluttershy…” the timid looking yellow Pegasus said.
“I'm the one and only Rainbow dash!” A cyan pegasus said with a smirk.
“I am Princess Celestia.” The tall white one said.
“It's nice to meet you all, my name is Justin.” Justin introduces himself with a thumbs up before turning to the dark blue princess. “How about you? What's your name princess?”
“We are princess Luna.” She said with a nod.
“Huh, Luna like the night?” Justin asks as he looks at Luna's ethereal mane.
“Yes?” Luna said with a raised eyebrow.
“sweet, I've always liked the night, the way the stars and the moon illuminate the dark…. Ah, but what I like isn't all that important right now, what is important is answers on who I am, what I am, and what I am doing here, correct?” Justin summarizes with a chuckle.
Luna blushed a little at the slight complement to her night before nodding. “Yes.”
“Right, if you may summarize what you have already learnt Twilight?” Justin asks with a small smile on his face.
Twilight looked down at her notes and began to read.
“Huh? O-oh, uh, ok. Justin is what he calls a Mobian, he doesn't know much of anything about Equestria and likely the rest of our planet, and he looks a lot more intimidating than he acts.” Twilight spoke as she read from her notes.
“I see.” Celestia said softly with a slow nod.
“And Justin didn't really answer when I asked what he could do, you said you wanted everypony to be here when you explained what you could do, right Justin?” Twilight continues, turning to Justin as she speaks the second half of her sentence.
“Yup, this them?” Justin nods as he motions to the others.
“Yep, this is everyone!” Pinkie said with a wide smile.
“.....ok then, well, what specifically about what I can do do you want to know? What I can naturally do in this body? Or the energy this body allows me to generate and control?” Justin asks as he looks around with a nervous chuckle.
“Yes.” Twilight said Simply.
“...well, for the things my body can naturally do, this body can naturally run fast enough to break the sound barrier, my spines are sharp enough to cut through steel, like a normal hedgehog I can roll myself into a ball.” Justin explains before waiting to see if anyone has any questions.
“Wait, you can break the sound barrier too!?” Rainbow dashed asked in shock.
“Yup, you can too? No. Wait. That makes sense, you give off the same feel as Sonic, it would only be natural that you're fast if you're so similar to the blue blur.” Justin murmured, peaking everyone's interest.
“Who is Sonic?” Twilight asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Sonic, Sonic is the fastest thing alive, the hero of Mobius, and technically, the owner of the body I now possess.” Justin explains,glancing at the surprised looks around him.
“What?! Nothing is faster than me!” Rainbow dash yelled, glaring at Justin.
“You stole his body!?” Fluttershy shouted in horror.
“I don't know your maximum speed rainbow, so I can't make an accurate guess on that, and Fluttershy, I don't know if there even is a sonic in here.” Justin spoke as he knocked on the side of his head with his left hand. “I'll have to check when I fall asleep.”
“We can assist thee with that.” Luna said with a gentle smile, while Barb pouted a little in jealousy.
“Huh? What do you-” Justin gets cut off as he is hit by a light blue burst of magic emanating from Luna's horn.

Chapter 2:introductions and questions part 2.
“What did you do!?” Barb asked in shock.
“We simply put him to sleep.” Luna said, looking confused. “Was that not the idea?”
“Ah think he meant after he was done explainin’ everything he kin do, Princess.” Applejack speaks honestly as Justin begins to snore.
“Oh?” Luna asked with a frown. “Our apologies.”
Suddenly, Justin begins to groan as he sits up and runs his forehead with his left hand. “Ugh… yeah, Sonic's definitely here…ow…”
“You spoke to someone in your head?” Rarity asked, looking confused.
“Yeah, kinda the only place we can talk to each other, in dreams….and Sonic is not happy with me at all, well, the original me that is.” Justin mumbled as he slowly stood up.
“What do you mean?” Celestia asked.
‘sigh’ “your going to want to take a seat for this.” Justin sighed before lifting his head to look at everyone…only to find Pinkie already handing out everyone soft cushions to sit on.
“One step ahead of you!” She said with a smile.
“I…fair enough, now, before I explain anything about the original me, I should explain about the energy I generate and control, I have no doubt you two can feel the power radiating off of me, Princesses.” Justin spoke as he turned to look at Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
“Indeed.” Luna nodded a little. “You use chaos energy.”
“WHAT?!” Everyone minus, the princesses, Applejack, and the CMC exclaim in shock.
“Yes, I do. However, my Chaos energy does not come from the spirit of chaos.” Justin explains with a nod of his head.
“How is that possible!? Discord controls chaos itself!” Twilight yelled.
“Oh? What kind of chaos?” Justin asks as he looks Twilight in the eyes and smiles.
“W-what… kind?” She asked in confusion.
“Yes, positive, negative, insanity inducing, miracle making, calming, necessary, unnecessary, there are MANY different kinds of chaos out there.” Justin explains, his smile never leaving his face.
They all stayed quiet as if processing what they heard.
“Anyways, the type of chaos I use is the Miracle making type of chaos energy, the power to change fate itself, now, unlike Discord, I do not receive this energy naturally.” Justin explains, pausing to allow the others to process his words.
“You… don't?” Barb asked in confusion.
“No. I receive my Chaos energy through seven gems of near infinite power called the Chaos emeralds, legend says that when you bring all seven together, miracles happen. My existence is proof of what happens when someone uses the chaos emeralds when they are unstable.” Justin explains with a sigh.
“They can be unstable? They are not here are they?” Luna asked with a frown.
“...if they weren't, I wouldn't be alive, and they are right here, in me. I don't really know how it works, but the chaos emeralds can be physically absorbed into a being to grant them the chaos emeralds power.” Justin answers with a frown of his own.
“How would we be able to find out?” Twilight asked tilting her head in confusion.
“Simple, we don't. Cause I don't really like the thought of not existing just so you all can research clearly unstable artifacts of power.” Justin answers curtly as he crosses his arms.
“That's… a fair reason.” Applebloom said with a small nod.
‘sigh’ “the only problem with that, is that Sonic is still trapped within my mind, hm, I would ask some more questions to get caught up with what is important in this world…but we are in a library so…” Justin speaks before blitzing throughout the library, the ponies and dragoness only being able to see after images of Justin reading several books per every second.
“Whoa.” Barb said a look of aww on her face as her cheeks began to Glow with a red blush again. “H-he's so fast.”
“Not really, I'm just using the chaos emeralds to slow down time so I can read through everything quicker.” Justin replied, now standing next to Barb as his after images continue to read all the books in the library.
Barb jumped and looked at him suddenly with a surprised look, her blush deepening a little. “Y-you can't control time that's!?”
“Impossible? That's the whole point of chaos, to make the impossible possible, with no chaos, there will be no change, and believe me, that outcome is a lot worse than you might believe.” Justin explains as he looks at everyone around him.
Everyone stared at him in shock and awe, unable to process what they were seeing. ng.
“...yeah, don't try to think about it too much, the main function of the Chaos emeralds are to turn thought into power and reality, so it doesn't really follow logic all that much.” Justin shrugs as the after images of himself begin to fade, leaving a neatly packed pile of books in the corner of the room.
“So you just learned about everything from our world?” Twilight passed looking bewildered.
“Not really everything, most of the books were very educational, but. I still don't really know much about recent events.” Justin answered with a shrug.
“What kind of recent events would you like to know about, if you don't mind me asking?” Fluttershy said with a timid squeak to her voice.
Justin smiles gently at Fluttershy before answering. “Nightmare Moon and the elements of harmony, it is fairly obvious that the tale of the mare in the moon was about Celestia and Luna, and reading about Luna's transformation into Nightmare Moon worries me, as it reminds me of something from this body's original world.”
“How so?” Celestia asked, raising a brow.
“...it's called Dark Gaia, one half of the Gaia cycle, and the dark half of the force that created the chaos emeralds in the first place.” Justin mutters as he taps his foot in thought.
“I see, that is interesting.” Celestia said with a short and slow nod.
‘sigh’ “Dark Gaia has infected sonic with its dark essence before in the past, thankfully, it was awakened a millenia too early, otherwise sonic wouldn't have been able to do anything to stop it, even with the chaos emeralds fully on his side, consider yourselves lucky these ‘Elements of Harmony’ seem to have the same purifying properties as the positive energy within the chaos emeralds.” Justin explains as he rubs his temples with his left hand.
“So they're like the elements…” Twilight mumbled a little as she wrote everything down.
“Honestly, it makes sense, Chaos and Harmony are technically the same thing, if you look for the correct details that is.” Justin shrugs, not noticing the sudden silence in the room.
Everyone stared at him again before Barb spoke up. “How so?”
“Well, even if harmony and chaos are opposites, they need each other to exist, I think that's why this…Discord was it? Allowed himself to be defeated, because he knew that if there was too much chaos, and too little harmony, he himself would begin to fade away to restore balance, this is just a theory though.” Justin thought out loud.
Everyone stared at him again in surprise.
“...what? What is it? Is there something on my face?” Justin asks in genuine confusion.
“W-what you said… Discord, letting himself get defeated?” Twilight asked in shock.
“Well, it seemed obvious to me, he can change reality with a snap. I've seen Sonic face someone like that before…and he didn't stand a chance during their first fight.” Justin answered simply.
“That… makes sense.” Barb said slowly.
“Yeah, and honestly, did none of you ever question why Discord didn't just, you know, Teleport out of the way? I mean, I don't know how the Elements function, but if I had to guess using stereotypes, I'd say they emit a wave of purifying energy towards their target?” Justin asked with a tilt of his head.
Everyone looked at each other in surprise before nodding slowly. “That's… about it.” Rainbow said.
“Huh, intuition is twenty-twenty I guess.” Justin murmurs to himself.
Barb figited a little while glancing at him. “W-where are you going to live?”
“Eh, probably a forest, or wherever the wind takes me, though I'll definitely stay near this town most of the time, and before you say any objections to this, I can literally feel that this body is more comfortable outdoors than inside.” Justin replies with a shrug as he Pat's Barbs head.
Barb blushed more and nodded slowly as she looked away bashfully.
Justin chuckles before leaning against the wall. “Now, let's get back to what I can do with chaos energy shall we?”
“R-right. W-what else can you do?” Twilight asked.
“Hm, let's see, Teleport, slow down time to a stand still, fly, I'm practically invulnerable to damage, I can breathe in space, but strangely not underwater, I can emit spears of pure chaos energy, really just energy blasts, if someone else were able to use the same type of chaos energy as me, we could time travel, no telling what time we'd end up in though, chaos is random like that, repair damage to the fabric of reality, travel to different worlds….. really just anything you can think of I guess.” Justin lists off before blinking at the looks of disbelief on everyone's faces. “...too much?”
“T-that's… so cool!” Barb said with a wide smile.
“Only if it's used right, and I would know, the original me did NOT use chaos right at all…” Justin answered in a tone of shame, disappointment, and sadness as he looks away from everyone with a frown.
“He was a bad guy?” Pinkie asked.
“Oh, he was SO MUCH worse than a bad guy, he was a genuine psychopath…if I'm going to explain anything else, we should remove Bloomie, Scoots and Sweetie, it's not something they should hear.” Justin spoke with an edge of mild anger in his tone of voice.
Applejack nodded a little, before leading the girls out. “Aww come on!”
“.....alright, now that those three are out of here, who here is uncomfortable with blood and/or violence?” Justin asks, receiving gasps of shock.
“Blood/violence!” Everyone yelled.
“Yes.” Justin answers seriously. “Why do you think I look so feral.”
Everyone stared at him in shock and horror, each one slowly backing away.
“...you know, I expected this response like, half an hour earlier.” Justin mumbled with a shake of his head and a chuckle. “I ain't gonna hurt ya, it'd be stupid of me to do so, you six are directly connected to the fundamental force of harmony, you two command the sun and moon, and you, you're just too damn cute to harm.”
Everyone looked at each other while Barb blushed redder, looking away as her hips swayed a little.
“Look, I ain't the original Fleetway, and what he does makes me sick in the gut too, I mean, the literal only emotion he was capable of feeling was anger.” Justin speaks with a mock gag.
“Only anger? Why?” Rarity asked with a frown.
“It was the first emotion he ever felt from the moment the chaos emeralds created him within Sonic's mind, technically, Fleetway, and now I, am just a transformation for Sonic, we are incomplete because we have minds of our own. And that fact infuriated Fleetway to no end as he wanted a body of his own, and that anger festered every time his time in control ran out and he was forced back into the back of Sonic's mind. To be honest, I'm surprised I'm still in control.” Justin explains as he paces back and forth with a thoughtful expression on his face.
“Maybe because you're not him?” Barb asked him, putting her hands behind her back cutely.
“Maybe… but if that were the case, I wouldn't have a version of Sonic in my head…or is it that I'm in his head controlling his body? Oh for the love of Chaos, why is this so confusing…” Justin grumbles to himself as he facepalms.
“Because it's chaos?” Pinkie asked with a giggle.
“...right.” Justin deadpans.
Barb giggled a little before looking at Twilight. “What do we do now?”
“Hm, well it's getting pretty late, I'd say it'd be best for us all to get some sleep and continue discussing everything tomorrow?” Twilight suggests.
All the ponies slowly nodded a little. “That is a good idea.” Luna said with a smile.
“It is, now, while I don't think I even have a need for sleep, I'll probably end up putting myself to sleep so I can explain the situation to Sonic, I'll meet you all back here tomorrow!” Justin waves before snapping his fingers and disappearing in a flash of blue light.
The ponies looked at each other again, unsure how to continue.
Chapter 3: DreamHill Zone
Deep within the Everfree forest, just passed the bridge to a ruined castle, with the sound of a snap, a figure appears in a flash of blue light, this figure, is Justin. Who walks towards the ruined castle and with but a thought, floats to the highest peak of the ruins.
“Hm, yeah, this'll do, see you soon, Sonic the hedgehog.” Justin murmurs as he lays down atop the flat pillar and falls asleep with a snap of his fingers.
Justin slowly opens his eyes as he sits up from the grassy surface he lay upon, the green checkered design of the ground surprising Justin for a moment.
“Huh? Why is- right. Dream.” Justin murmurs to himself as he looks around his environment. “Green Hills, eh? I can work with that.”
“What do you want?” A familiar voice said, as he turned to see Sonic.
“To explain a few things happening in the real world, Sonic.” Justin answered as he calmly turned to face Sonic.
“And what exactly would that be?” He asked, glaring at him.
“Well, first of all, we aren't on Mobius.” Justin states, getting a surprised glance from Sonic.
“Huh? How is that possible?” Sonic asked in shock.
“Well, I don't think we are the original Sonic and Fleetway, considering the name I feel most associated with is Justin…surprise?” Justin mumbled with a nervous shrug.
Sonic stared at him in shock for a moment. “W-what?!”
“Yeah, shocking ain't it, I'm honestly surprised you believe me so much, I mean, logically speaking, you have no reason to trust me.” Justin shrugs as he leans back and begins to float mid air.
“Oh I don't believe you, I'm just shocked you came up with such a bold faced lie!” Sonic said glaring at him.
“Ok, yeah, now that's the response I was expecting.” Justin murmurs, lazily floating mid air. “Look sonic, be honest, do I SOUND like a deranged psychopathic beast hellbent on genocide?”
“I'm sorry, a WHAT?!” a third voice wrung out throughout the dream.
“WH- WHO'S THERE?! Fleetway if this is another trick of yours…” Sonic growled as he looked around cautiously.
“It is no trick.” The voice said, before in a bright flash of light princess Luna appeared before the two of them. “So thou art Sonic?”
“Oh! Luna…hold up. You can enter dreams?!” Justin exclaims in shock as he looks at the dark blue Alicorn.
“But of course, we are the princess of the night. It is our job to aid all under our night sky, even in Dreamland.” Luna said with a nod.
“Ah. I guess introductions are in order.” Justin mumbled as he floated besides Luna. “Sonic, this is Princess Luna, one of the two Princesses that govern the land of Equestria, which is found on Planet Maginus.”
“Princess… Luna? One of them?” Sonic asked, looking lost and confused.
“Yup, there's two, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, Princesses of the sun and moon respectively.” Justin nods his head before turning to Luna. “And Luna, this is Sonic, the fastest thing alive and the Hero of Mobius.”
“Greetings. Justin has told us a lot about you.” Luna said, bowing to Sonic.
“He has, has he? What did he say?” Sonic grumbles as he Glares at Justin.
Luna smiled a little before explaining what Justin told them.
“...that's it? Nothing about how he's ‘supposedly’ stronger than me? No boasting his power?” Sonic asked skeptically.
Luna shook her head. “No.”
“Told ya things are weird, Blue.” Justin shrugs, blinking at the weird looks both Sonic and Luna were giving him.
“Blue?” They both asked.
“Nickname. Helps me remember people, ADHD makes it hard to recognise people, ok?” Justin huffs as he crosses his arms and looks away, getting a facepalm from sonic and a confused eyebrow raise from Luna.
“What is ADHD?” Luna asked.
“Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.” Justin and Sonic speak in unicorn before Justin blinks at Sonic in surprise. “Wait… you have it too?”
He shrugged and nodded. “I mean yeah? Do you realize how much my attention is drawn away from what I'm doing?”
“....that… that explains so much…” Justin mumbled to himself.
Sonic smirked a little before chuckling. “You really aren't him are you?”
“Nope. And I do not ever want to be him…” Justin answered with a grin and a shrug.
“Who would?” Sonic asked with a chuckle.
“Oh, believe me, there are people who want to be him…” Justin shudders at the thought. “Oh right! I guess you want to know where we are in the real world, right?”
“Yeah, I can't see anything outside.” Sonic said with a nod.
“Well… as you can see from Luna here, we are currently in a land of technicolor pastel ponies, the land we are currently in is called Equestria, which is on the planet Equis.” Justin explains as he floats upside down.
Sonic hummed a little. “Not the weirdest world I've heard of.”
“The book worlds?” Justin asked with a smirk.
The book worlds.” Sonic returned with a grin of his own.
“What are the book worlds?” Luna asked raising an eyebrow. “They sound like something Twilight sparkle would enjoy.” ”
“The book worlds are entire worlds comprised of a collection of historical stories such as the tales of King Arthur and Aladdin.” Sonic explains with a nostalgic smile on his face.
“Interesting, Twilight sparkle would most definitely enjoy it.” Luna said with a small nod.
“Hm, is this Twilight capable of defending herself? I ask as the book worlds can get a bit dangerous when bad guys try to take over.” Sonic asks as he tilts his head at Luna.
“Twilight is one of if not the most skilled unicorns in our world.” Luna said with a giggle.
“A magic user eh? Neat, reminds me of a…. Friend of mine.” Sonic chuckles before looking off to the side with an awkward expression on his face.
“A friend?” Luna asked, looking confused now.
“Hm? Oh! Hehe, yeah, a friend who has a huge crush on the blue blur~” Justin chuckles to himself as he teases sonic.
Sonic blushed a little and looked away. “A crush? I am happy for you both.”
“Heh, about that, Sonic isn't the type for romance, and try as he might, nothing he tries to convince Amy that he isn't interested works.” Justin chuckles at the annoyed look Sonic is giving him.
“Oh, I am sorry to hear that.” Luna said with a frown. “My niece will be interested to meet you one day.”
“It's not entirely how you think Luna, Amy's crush is more of an idolisation, Sonic did save her life After All, besides, Amy genuinely believes she and sonic are destined to be lovers.” Justin explains with a shrug.
Luna frowned a little and hummed. “If this ‘Amy’ ever comes here as y'all have her speak with my niece to attempt to get over this idolization and obsession.”
“I don't think you need to worry about that, Amy's set her goals apart from her crush on Sonic since the Starfall isle's, right sonic?” Justin asks with a small smile.
“Yea- wait, how do you even know that?! Fleetway stopped existing Long before that!” Sonic asked in shock.
“He knew about a lot of your adventures as well.” Luna said with a small frown.
“That…has to do with the world I am originally from, here, let me show you.” Justin answered awkwardly as he turns around and holds out his hand as he begins to manipulate the dream realm, surprising Luna.
“You are a lucid dreamer?” She asked in surprise. “That is a very rare talent.”
“Hm? Oh, I've always been a lucid dreamer, I think it's because of my constant daydreaming, it's never been this easy though… Anyway, you see that boy there?” Justin asks as he points at a newly formed room with a short male with dark hair, a green hoodie and gray pants sitting on a couch playing some unseen video game.
“Yes?” Both Luna and Sonic said in confusion.
“That's me, back when I was still Human.” Justin spoke, not surprised by the shocked expressions on Sonic's and Luna's faces.
“Truly? You were adorable!” Luna said with a giggle after getting over her initial shock.
“I- you know what, fair. I thought the same thing when I saw the CMC for the first time.” Justin mumbled as Sonic let out a laugh.
“So that was you huh? I bet you're better off being a mobian.” He said with a smirk.
“...I mean, I became one by clicking on a sketchy website so…” Justin replied with an awkward chuckle as he looked off to the side and began to whistle.
“Dude… why?” Sonic asked.
“.....it was a writer's competition….I like to write stories ok?” Justin pouts and crosses his arms… which is unsettling for the body he now inhabits.
Sonic shook his head a little before smiling. “Alright dude. Don't get upset.”
“I'm not upset.” Justin mumbled, still pouting. “I just remembered all of my Ben 10 stuff is still in my room…”
“Ben what?” Luna asked.
“It's a show, basically, a 10 year old named Ben Tennyson gets a watch that lets him turn into aliens, he then uses the watch to basically be a hero.” Justin explains before blinking and lightly smacking his forehead. “Ugh. I was supposed to show why I know so much about Sonic's world.”
“Looks like you've gotten my attention span.” Sonic said with a smirk.
“Yeah….that's probably a good thing, I was way worse to be honest.” Justin chuckles before waving his hand to bring the room closer to the group. “Have a look at the game I'm playing.”
Sonic and Luna looked closer at it before their eyes widened in shock.
“Surprising, right? Sonic-06 my first Sonic game, one of the more glitchy games with a…. Frustrating storyline to say the least, but it's a goodie.” Justin chuckles at the shocked expressions on the two’s faces.
“I'm a video game in your world?!” Sonic asked, before grinning widely. “Awesome!”
“Oh, you're much more than that Sonic, you're the main character, the ‘face’ of your franchise.” Justin speaks seriously despite the clear grin on his face.
Sonic looked at him in surprise before grinning. “So I'm like super famous!? Even more than back home?!”
“Dude, you got movies, as in plural.” Justin nods his head, laughing at the literal sparkles in Sonic's eyes.
“Oh heck yeah!” Sonic said with a wide smile.
“Though…the original design of movie you was….just nightmare fuel.” Justin shudders at the mental image.
Sonic raised an eyebrow along with Luna and the image appeared nearby, making them both jump. “Oh my Faust that is ugly.”
“...y-you wanna know the public's first thought of that thing was?” Justin asks as he fights the urge to gag.
“What?” Sonic asked, looking worried.
““Burn it with fire”…like that was going to work, that thing needed a damn exorcist. Anyways, what were we talking about again?” Justin asks with a tilt of his head.
“About how I'm world famous in your world!” Sonic said with a grin.
“Actually, we were originally discussing how the two of you are not from this world, we believe before we got distracted thou hath mentioned how thee could not see the waking world sir Sonic.” Luna corrects, speaking in olden tongue.
“Oh… right.” Sonic said with a small frown.
“Right, we still need to figure out a plan…’sigh’ as much as I dislike it, your going to need to see the real world, and soon, so when we wake up, I'm going to relinquish the chaos emeralds, they won't go anywhere as they are still unstable, so I want you to get a bag and hide them, alright?” Justin explains as he looks at sonic with a serious frown.
Sonic nodded slowly. “Yeah I get it.”
“Good, and Luna? If anything goes wrong, neutralize the chaos emeralds.” Justin turns to Luna, his serious look never leaving his face.
“Neutralize them?” Luna asked raisyin an eyebrow.
“Shatter them, banish them to the sun, another dimension, I don't care, just don't let them harm anyone.” Justin states, causing Sonic's eyes to widen in shock.
“That would kill you!” Sonic yelled in shock.
“But it would keep others safe, besides, that's on the very low possibility that anything actually gets that bad.” Justin explains calmly.
Sonic and Luna stared at him in shock, before both nodded slowly. “We understand.”
“Good, because it seems the dream's collapsing.”
“Already? We just got here didn't we?” Sonic asked arching an eyebrow.
“Time dilation, it's been about four hours, but to us it feels like half an hour had passed.” Justin explains as the dream collapses around them.
“This sucks.” Sonic said with a frown as the dream ended.
Chapter 4: Sonic meets Ponyville part 1
Moments after the Dream collapses, Justin snaps awake and sits up, back atop the Pillar he had fallen asleep upon.
Justin sighs as he prepares himself for what he is about to do. ‘sigh’ “alright, let's do this.”
“Are you ok?” A familiar voice asked, as he looked down to see Barb looking at him.
“Gah?!” Justin exclaims as he falls off the pillar, floating seconds after he does. Justin floats around the pillar to see the six ponies and dragoness he had met yesterday.
“We came to check on you.” Barb said, blushing slightly in embarrassment.
“Right, that's very kind of you, now, I'm about to do something risky… so I'm going to need you to step back, all of you.” Justin explained as he floats down to the ground.
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked with a small frown.
“Remember what you said about researching the chaos emeralds?” Justin asks, looking at Twilight.
Twilight nodded a little. “Yes?”
“You're still not doing that, but I am disconnecting the chaos emeralds from myself so Sonic can experience the real world, while I do that, could one of you get a large leather bag for Sonic?” Justin explains and asks in the same sentence.
Pinkie vanished in a puff of smoke while the others looked confused. “But…what will happen to you?” Rarity asked.
“Either temporarily stop existing, or just be stuffed into the back of Sonic's mind.” Justin replies simply.
“But you'd be back?” Barb asked him, looking hopeful.
“Yeah, when sonic absorbs the chaos emeralds again that is.” Justin nods before flying backwards a few feet before closing his eyes.
The ponies stood back and watched him as Pinkie came back.
Justin begins to glow brightly as seven gems of different colors separate from his body causing an even brighter flash of light. “My eyes!” Rarity screamed dramatically before the light died down, revealing a blue hedgehog with seven gems floating around him.
“Ngh…ow, that hurt, did it work?” The blue hedgehog grumbled as he held his head with his left hand.head.
“Are you Sonic?” Applejack asked.
“Yup! Sonic's the name and speeds my game. Nice to meet ya.” Sonic spoke with a grin before noticing the bag pinkie was holding.
“Ah, I'm just gonna…” Sonic zips over to Pinkie and grabs the bag before placing the seven chaos emeralds into it. “Take this and put these in here, thanks.”
“Whoa! You are fast!” Pinkie said with a smile.
“Like you didn't already know that from Justin.” Sonic replies with a grin.
Rainbow grinned a little. “I'm Rainbow Dash, the fastest flier In Equestria, let's race!”
“Oh? You're fast eh? You're on!” Sonic accepts with a grin on his face.
“Oh jeez here we go.” Rarity said with a sigh.
“so, where we racing?” Sonic asks as he begins to stretch.
Rainbow grinned a little before pointing to a large mountain. “To Canterlot and back, first one back wins!”
“Canterlot eh? Huh, it looks and sounds like Camelot, neat.” Sonic mumbles with a shrug.
“You ready? Three. Two. One. Go!” Rainbow yelled before the two burst off with extreme speed.
“Oh dear…” Fluttershy mumbles as she watches the blue and rainbow silhouettes grow smaller and smaller the further her two friends went.
“They seem to be neck in neck.” Twilight said watching as well.
“Yeah! They do! But what did Sonic mean by Canterlot looked and sounded similar to ‘Camelot’?” Pinkie asked with a large smile on her face.
“Probably something from where he's from.” Applejack said with a shrug.
“Hm, I'll have to ask him about that when they get back.” Twilight replies with a thoughtful expression on her face.
The group watched in shock as a sonic Rainboom in the distance as they came back. The group watches as the two blurs stop In Front of them at the same time. “A tie?!” Pinkie asked in shock.
“really? Sweet!” Sonic exclaimed with a grin.
Rainbow smirked and nodded. “Oh heck yeah! No one's ever been able to keep up with me!”
“Hehe, can't say the same with me, I have a few fakers who can just about keep up with me.” Sonic chuckles to himself.
“Seriously?” Rainbow asked before chuckling. “Guess I'm better than you then.”
“I don't know, do you have an evil genius who constantly makes robotic copies of you built specifically to be better than you and yet you consistently defeat the copies?” Sonic asks with a chuckle of his own.
Rainbow raised an eyebrow. “Uh no?”
“Heh, thought so.” Sonic chuckles to himself.
“But we've fought off some pretty scary things too!” Pinkie said with a smile.
“Really? Like what?” Sonic asks, curiosity evident in his voice.
Pinkie pulled a piece of paper out of her mane and began listing off all of the enemies they've defeated. “Let's see. Nightmare Moon, Discord, Chrysalis and her changeling army, oh and king Sombra” !”
“Huh, neat…. Is that it?” Sonic asked casually, surprising the group.
“That's it!? Those are all major bad guys here each one with world-altering magic!” Rainbow said in shock and anger.
“Eh, I face worse just about every other week.” Sonic shrugs nonchalantly. “Heck, there was that time the planet was split apart and I had to put it back together like a puzzle, with the help of the chaos emeralds of course.”
Everyone stared at him in shock and disbelief, too surprised to speak.
“What? That was just one of my many adventures.” Sonic states with a tilt of his head.
“H-how?” Twilight asked in disbelief.
“I have a lot of friends on my side, and it helps when almost every one of your past villains are more than willing to help take down a bigger threat.” Sonic answers with a chuckle.
“That…. Makes sense.” Barb said.
“Though, I have to admit that the planet puzzle adventure was one of the more lower stakes adventures I've had.” Sonic admits, to the shock of everybody.
“That was a lower adventure!?” They all yelled.
“Kinda? It still had high stakes, but compared to some of the other stuff me and my friends had to face, yeah. Low staked adventure.” Sonic shrugs helplessly.
“What the heck have you been through!?” Rainbow yelled in shock.
“Hm, well, there's Chaos, a deity made out of water who got enraged after the Chaos emeralds were misused, that's probably lower ranked from dark Gaia, the creature who broke the planet for me to fix it like a puzzle, then there's Eggman, a crazy scientist hellbent on taking over the world, the Time-Eater, Solaris, the false king Arthur, the genie fa-jin, Infinite, and most recently the Starfall islands and The End, and interdimensional entity that was a genuine struggle to defeat, even with the chaos emeralds, and that's leaving out most of the low stakes adventures of fun and excitement.” Sonic listed off as he paced back and forth absentmindedly.
Everyone stared at him in shocked silence, unable to process what he told them.
“Hehe, though the egg head can be hilarious when he isn't plotting to take over the world.” Sonic suddenly mentions with a chuckle.
“Wait… so you're semi-friends with a villain?” Applejack asked in confusion.
“Kinda? To be honest he is clinically insane, but he does have days, and sometimes full weeks of clarity, and despite all he's done, we all know he isn't all bad, considering he genuinely cares for all of his more complicated creations like they were his children, especially Metal and Sage.” Sonic explains with a nod of his head.
“That's…sad.” Fluttershy said softly. adly.
“It is. I have tried to reform Eggman before, like when he lost his memories, it worked, for a short time. But then came one of the worst adventures I've had yet.” Sonic spoke with an uncomfortable shudder.
“H-how so?” Rarity asked.
“...it was the closest I've ever gotten to failing to save the day, and I even lost my memories, albeit temporarily thanks to the help of an otherworldly friend.” Sonic mumbles sadly.
“Oh… that's… good?” Twilight said in confusion.
“It's a good thing that that particular adventure is over, even Eggman agrees that particular scheme of his went too far.” Sonic answers with a hum.
“What scheme was it?” Pinkie asked, bouncing around.
“Liquid metal that infected anything organic it touched, essentially turning it into some kind of robo-zombie, we called them Zombots, I was one of the first infected…” Sonic answered with a frown.
“Jeez, that's bad.” Rainbow said with a frown.
“It was, thankfully my speed could burn off the infection faster than it spread, but it couldn't get rid of it entirely, it took everyone working together to just barely save the planet.” Sonic agreed wholeheartedly.
“Dang.” Rainbow said in surprise.
“Dang indeed, though enough about my adventures, what's all there to know about this world?” Sonic asks, his previous expression replaced with a grin.
“Well…” Twilight said, rubbing her head. “That's a long explanation.”
“Eh, I might not be the type to sit still for long, but I'm willing to listen if you're willing to tell?” Sonic asked with a chuckle.
“Well, it started with Nightmare Moon, at the time I didn't really have any true friends… from my perspective at least, but then I met the girls.” Twilight said.
“We joined up and beat her, from there Twilight moved to ponyville!” Pinkie said with a wide smile.
“I'm guessing you used these…what were they called? Elements of Harmony? To do it?” Sonic asks as he receives nods from the ponies and dragoness.
“Yes, Honesty, laughter, kindness, generosity, loyalty, and magic.” Twilight said with a gentle smile.
“Six elements eh? Heh, reminds me of the early days of when there were only six chaos emeralds, it was actually my first adventure too.” Sonic spoke with a nostalgic smile on his face.
“Wait, so another emerald appeared?” Pinkie asked.
“Yeah, heck, they didn't even originally look like this, at first they were hexagonal in shape.” Sonic explains, catching Twilight's attention.
“They changed shape?! How is that possible?” She asked.
“...magic?” Sonic replies with a clueless shrug.
“Wait… I just remembered. The elements did that too.” Twilight said with a surprised blink.
“Wait really? Huh, man, what are the chances, I mean, it's not like the elements were originally hexagonal as well, right?” Sonic asked, receiving thoughtful silence.
“Well… yes. They were.” Twilight said after a hum. “When we found them they were hexagonal.”
“Huh? You know what? That actually makes sense.” Sonic mumbles to himself as the others turn to look at him in curiosity.
“What do you mean?” Fluttershy asked ftly. Sonic.
“Well, this isn't the first time I've had contact with other dimensions, you see, during one of my adventures, I met someone named Blaze, who I would later learn was the Princess and guardian of the Sol dimension.” Sonic answers, pausing to see if anyone had any questions.
“The Sol dimension?” Twilight asked in confusion.
“It's a parallel dimension to my home world, Mobius. Though, Blaze's world definitely has a LOT more water than Mobius…” Sonic mutters as a shiver rides up Sonic's back.
“You don't like water?” Pinkie asked, tilting her head.
“Nope, I can't swim. Like at all.” Sonic answers with a deadpan.
“Huh? How?” Pinkie asked, more confused.
“...I literally sink like a rock.” Sonic mumbles as he crosses his arms and looks off to the side.
“Interesting.” Twilight said, writing something down. “But can we get back on topic please?”
“Hm? Oh! Right, well, in Blaze's dimension, she has something called the Sol emeralds, they were her worlds counterpart to the chaos emeralds, and I suspect the same thing is happening here with the Elements of Harmony.” Sonic speaks with a proud smile.
“Huh.” Twilight said, tapping her chin. “That's… amazing!”
“Hm? How so?” Sonic asks, curiosity evident in his voice.
“If they exist in every reality, then they're a universal constant. This is a huge discovery!” Twilight said with a wide smile.
“Huh, never thought of it like that, though I c-” Sonic is interrupted by the sound of an explosion in the distance.
“Huh? What was that?” Rainbow asked, looking in the distance.
“I don't kn-” Sonic is again interrupted as a voice rings out from the same direction as the explosion.
“Listen here to my announcement ponies!” The voice exclaimed as Sonic's eyes grow wide before narrowing.
“Wh- but how?” Sonic asked in surprise.
“Who is that?” Barb asked, worriedly.
“Eggman. But how did he get here?” Sonic asks before shaking his head.
“Bah, that doesn't matter right now, Gotta go fast!.” Sonic exclaims as he suddenly runs into the distance.
“Hey! Wait for us!” Rainbow yelled, before flying after him.
Chapter 5: Sonic meets Ponyville part 2
“How did Eggman of all people even get here?” Sonic asks himself as he continues to run.
“How did you and Justin get here?” Rainbow dash asked, catching up to him.
“We… don't actually know, the most we know is that we aren't from this world.” Sonic explains before looking at Rainbow. “Look, if you see anything made of metal, break it.”
“Uh, only if it's not natural. Because I'm not going to break the train.” Rainbow said with a chuckle.
“Right, I tell you this because Eggman typically uses animals to power his machines.” Sonic explains, only for the two blurs to wince at a shout from behind them.
“HE DOES WHAT?!” Fluttershy's voice booms over them as they look back to see the usually meek Pegasus fuming with rage.
“Uh oh.” Rainbow said with a sweat drop.
“...oh indeed, she reminds me of a certain rabbit friend of mine when the Chao are in danger… and she casually shatters trees.” Sonic replies with a sweat drop of his own before shaking his head. “Whatever, i gotta focus on the now, Rainbow, you and your friends focus on keeping everyone safe and breaking as many Badniks as you can, I'll handle Eggman.”
“Alright.” Rainbow said with a small nod.
Sonic nods with a smirk as he suddenly boosts forward in a blue aura, shocking Rainbow Dash.
“Wha? Hey! You held back during our race!?” She yelled angrily.
-Meanwhile in Ponyville-
“Oh ho ho! With the power of this world's magic my robots will be unstoppable! And with Infinite distracting the rodent back on Mobius there's nothing to stop me!” Eggman gloats to himself with a full bellied laugh.
“Hey egg head, what's up?” Sonic said, running up behind him.
“WHAT?! What are you doing here Sonic! How did you defeat Infinite so fast?!” Eggman shouts as he turns around to look at Sonic, confusing him.
“Infinite? Wasn't he defeated a while ago?” Sonic asked, scratching his head.
“What!? He just arrived!” Eggman yelled in confusion.
‘it's probably another one of Eggman's tricks to confuse me.’ Sonic thinks to himself as he jumps on-top of a Badniks that was sneaking up behind him. “Whatever you say egghead, but I can't let you terrorize this world, so I suggest you leave before I have to break your toys like I always do.”
“Try it rodent!” He shouted, pressing a button in his Eggmobile. “All remaining Badniks! Return to me and Destroy Sonic!”
“Really? You think Badniks are go-gah!” Sonic is interrupted as a dark blue blur slams into him from behind.
“Who said I only had Badnicks!?” Eggman yelled with a laugh.
“Gah! Metal?!” Sonic exclaims as he kicks the robotic duplicate off of himself.
The metal hedgehog slides back, sparks flying off its feet as it does, Metal Sonic glares at its organic counterpart, staring silently with its glowing red eyes.
"Heh, been a while since I've seen you, Copyhog!" Sonic exclaimed with a grin as he boosts forward, curling into a ball as he crashes right into Metal's face, knocking the cobolt blue automaton into a tree.
Dr.Eggman growls at Sonic's attack and shouts. "Quit holding back you fool! Go my Hyper Metal Sonic! Attack!!!" Eggman orders as Metal sonic overclocks its systems and charges at sonic, a yellow sphere of electricity surrounding it.
"Woah!" Sonic exclaimed as he dived to the side to dodge the barreling blue mechanical hedgehog. "Ha! Too slow!"
Sonic turns around and begins chasing Metal Sonic, the two blue blurs racing throughout and around the town at super sonic speeds, clashing every few milliseconds, Sonic breaking Badnik after Badnik throughout their 'race'.
"Ha! This has been fun Metal, but it's about time we end this, don't you agree?" Sonic spoke as he stood on the branch of a nearby tree, Metal sonic floating Infront of him as the metallic hedgehog agrees in silence with a simple nod and glare.
Sonic smirks as he boosts forward, tackling Metal Sonic into a spin Dash, Metal counters with a hard kick to the chin, sending sonic flying into the air, Sonic quickly shaking his head to get his bearings before he curls into a ball and bounces from flying Badnik to Flying Badnik until he eventually lands safely on the ground with a stylised front flip.
Sonic turns and his eyes widen as Metal is already right up Infront of him and grabs him by the throat as Metal slams Sonic down onto the ground, causing the ground to crack and crumble on impact.
"Gah?! H-heh, lucky...hit." Sonic coughed and smirked as Metal raised a clawed hand, prepared to eliminate its target, only for a loud booming wave of sound crashed over the area as a ring of rainbow light is seen bursting into the sky as a bolt of rainbow light crashes down at Metal Sonic at mach speeds, Metal knocked back far as a familiar cocky voice calls out.
"How was this bucket of bolts giving you any trouble Sonic? I mean, come on! I could beat this guy in ten seconds fl-" Rainbow Dash's boasting is interrupted as Metal bursts forward from the wreckage grabbing Rainbow by her wings, and ripping them clean off. "AAAAAGH!!!! " Rainbow shouts in agony as her wings lay on the ground Infront of her as her friends call out her name in horror.
Sonic's eyes widens at his new friends injury before glaring at Metal sonic, a dark glow of seven colours radiate from the satchel on Sonic's waist as his quils begin to darken in colour and his eyes begin to glow pitch white with a dark purple aura radiating around Sonic's entire body, Eggman, spotting this, widens his eyes as he calls out to his robots. "ALL FORCES OF THE EGGMAN EMPIRE, RETREAT! I REPEAT, RETREAT!!!"
Metal Sonic, seeing it's loathsome copy right Infront of it, ignores it's masters command and attempts to strike a killing blow, only for Sonic to already be behind the mechanical hedgehog, holding its core in his hand, which Sonic promptly crushes, causing Metal Sonic's systems to crash and shut down.
Sonic turns to Rainbow dash and approaches the pained Pegasus as the Chaos emeralds contained within the leather bag begin to glow before suddenly flying out of the bag and surrounding Rainbow Dash.
Sonic's quils now returning to their normal shade of blue, passes out as a golden glow surrounds Rainbow Dash.
