Author's Note
I am a Chinese student who is going to be in high school in a few days. Regularly, to a graduated middle school Chinese student, working on this kind of story is very hard. Thus, l read Harry Potter and lots books about Science and psychology and so on during my summer holiday, all of which help me with writing and vocabulary. I am rather happy that l can write a sequel for Snowdrop the filly, and l hope you'll enjoy it even though it is not flawless and l make mistakes more than you do.
A Wholehearted Wish
''It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.''
As beautiful as a transparent gem, the first snowflake fell from the sky, signifying the arrival of winter. The temperature dropped, while peace and harmony remained the same in Cloudsdale one year after Snowdrop's first snowflake was made.
Snowdrop was on her way to school. The golden light above the horizon marked the rise of the sun, signifying the beginning of a wholly new day. She counted her pace carefully and occasionally stopped to make sure the cloud on which she stood is precisely the one she memorized. Sometimes her ears twitched, sensing tiny noise in order not to bump into somepony.
High in the sky the snowflakes drifted down. Snowdrop reached out her front hoof as one snowflake fluttered down and rested upon it, arousing a sense of chill. She sat down and sensed it with another hoof, imagining its patterns and shape and wondering how pleasant it was if only she could see it herself rather than just touch it. But it was not of the slightest use to have an impact on her destiny.
The flowers in the school spread refreshing scents, making Snowdrop feel a little relaxed. There was nopony but Serenity sitting in the corner of the classroom, she had light blue eyes with pinkish mane. Her coat was light, peaceful sapphire. She opened her book as Snowdrop came in, who perceived the sound and faced the source of it as she instinctly did.
''Hi,''said Snowdrop.
But there was mere silence. Snowdrop was puzzled. Even if the sound was faint, she could still tell if it was from a pony who flipped through the pages.
''Maybe it's just the wind blowing outside,''whispered Snowdrop, who was carefully looking for her seat.
''Hi-''Serenity paused for a moment,''My name's Serenity, are you Snowdrop?''
''Yes...wait, your voice sounds unfamiliar to me, are you a new student here?''asked Snowdrop.
''I have been here since you came to this school.''murmured Serenity. Face red, she turned her head a little, deliberately not to make an eye contact with her even though she knew Snowdrop couldn't see.
''l have always been shy, so it's common for you to seldom hear my voice.''explained Serenity.
''Maybe a friend can cheer you up, you can get along with some-''
''No!''interrupted Serenity in an unexpectedly sharp voice.
''sorry, I don't mean to be so loud. In fact, l once tried to do so, but they were extremely mean to me...''Then she slumped a little on her desk, trying to hold back her tears as she recalled these terrible experiences.
Snowdrop wanted to comfort her, but no words came out. Under a cloud, she finally made it to her desk and fiddled with a tiny cloud afterwards as usual.
Miss Windith stood on the platform, watching as the ponies who were almost late took their seats. Then she announced:''OK everypony, class begins. Today we'll learn something about the stars hanging in the heavens.''
Serenity pricked up her ears, attentively listening the statement and taking notes occasionally. Sometimes she stole a glance at Snowdrop, hardly aware of what she was doing.
''Stars emerge in the heavens when night falls. They emit much less light than the flaming sun, but when they twinkle from the dark curtain of the sky, forming constellations and galaxies, they are able to create the most incredible scenery you've ever seen. However, most of us simply ignore it.''
Snowdrop let out a sigh,''How can I discover the beauties the stars have with my eyes that cannot see?''She wondered as a feeling of frustration creeped down her stomach.
Miss Windith went on:''Not only do the stars decorate the night, but they possess the deepest, most inexplicable magic from before the dawn of time. The magic is strong enough to grant wishes. Nonetheless, most ponies failed in asking for the star's help. Very few succeeded.''
''Why?''somepony inquired.
''For one thing, there weren't a lot of ponies that truly believed in such a thing. Many of them simply regarded it as an old pony's tale. So their wishes were insincere. For another, even those ponies whose wishes were sincere, many of them still misunderstood the meaning of the stars and showed little respect to them. They made wishes out of greed and selfishness. Therefore, most failed in the end.''
''From all the knowledge l've possessed, stars detest greed as well as selfishness. Their magic is to spread kindness and generosity and to encourage the ponies to discover and maximize the potential and uniqueness that lies in everypony's heart.''
''Now l'll assign each of you a task-----write down your wishes you sincerely hoped to realize and then I'll ask some of you to share your wishes with us. Now let's get started."
Serenity looked out of the window, staring at the exquisite snowflakes. She wondered :''Suppose l have a genuine friend, who can share his or her feelings with me instead of making fun of me or merely ignoring me as if l don't even exist. If only l have a friend...''Still anticipating in her imagination, she had her eyes closed softly and then wrote down her wish.
In the meantime, Snowdrop was immersed in flashbacks about Luna, the Princess of Night. She imagined that Luna was wandering in Cloudsdale in the dead of night, with all windows closed and all lights turned off. There was nothing but tedious darkness surrounding her. Isolated and lonely, she lifted her head as though the pale moon overhead was her only remaining relief. Snowdrop showed compassion for her, as well as for Serenity. Then she came up with a unique idea.
''All right everypony, l think it's time to show your wishes. Who wants to be the first?''exclaimed Miss Windith.
The classroom fell silent.
''l have to call your names randomly if you insist.''
''Cirrus, could you tell me what your wish is?''
Cirrus hesitated:'' l...l want to be a Wonderbolt!''With his courage plucked up, he finally expressed himself.
The silence remained for a split second. Then laughter burst out:''A Wonderbolt? the best flyer ever in all of Equestria? Ridiculous, absurd! How can such a stupid pony like you even come close to that wish?''Cumulo Nimbus teased with a mean laugh. Her appearance reminded Cirrus of an old haughty toad. After that a whole new tide of laugher erupted along with the loss of dignity Cirrus ought to own.
''SHUT UP, You bullies!''shouted Miss Windith, the sound making the window tremble.''Is it funny to see other ponies' dreams dissolve into nothingness? If that's what you are obsessed with, then get out!''
There was no sound other than the ponies' breath.
''It's not until now that l know it is you bullies that make the entire class in disharmony and afflict those ponies that are smaller than you. If you do this kind of thing ever again, you'll regret during your detention.''Miss Windith glared at Cumulo Nimbus, who didn't dare to look her in the eyes.
''As for you, Cirrus,''soothed Miss Windith,''It's great of you to have a strong ambition to pursue, and that will enable you to discover your own guts and wits.''She patted Cirrus's head in a reassuring way.
''Thank you, Miss Windith.''Cirrus stared up at her merciful, smiling face and a sensation of warmth welled up inside him.
After the incident, Miss Windith asked a number of students to share their wishes. It's not long before Snowdrop was asked.
Snowdrop stood on her hind legs, her eyes filled with hope and longing. As she recall the voice that kept reverberating in her head, she opened her mouth:''l wish happiness and sunshine which friendship offers can fill Serenity's heart.''
Serenity sat in shock, hardly believing what she heard.
''Because l know how far depression and loneliness can stretch when l have no pony to play with, to converse with. And what friendship can do is to share love and care and brighten our hearts.''
Serenity, who stared at Snowdrop in awe, was deeply moved. Ignoring the suddenly increasing number of eyes that were fixed upon her, She said with gratitude:''Thank you Snowdrop.''Then the air seemed to get warmer and more pleasing despite the freezing wind that howled outside.
After school, Snowdrop was always the last pony that went home. Just as odd as the fact that she was always the first pony that arrived at school. It was not because she was extraordinarily diligent, nor did her parents asked her to do so but out of the reason that she simply didn't want to meet too many ponies lest she bumped into them indeliberatedly. And that was also the reason why she felt continuously lonely.
However, today was different, because there was a pony who waited for her.
''Snowdrop?''Serenity called.
''Serenity, is that you?''
''Yes, l come here to thank you for wishing me to have a friend.''
''And l suppose it can come true right away.''
''you mean...l can be your friend?''
''Sure.''Snowdrop grinned at her.
Serenity stared at the adorable filly in front of her. Eyes brimmed with tears, She hugged Snowdrop tightly with a smile that curled across her face:''Thank you Snowdrop, for everything you did.''
Then Serenity came up with an idea.''l know where your home is, l think l can accompany you on your way home for my very first friend's sake,''suggested Serenity, beaming.
''Thank you anyway, but l can handle this on my own.''
''Did you forget what you said about what friendship is for?It must have been lonely and boring for you to go home. Besides, it's freezing outside and-''
''OK...OK,''interrupted Snowdrop,''l get your point.''
''and it's only friendship that can warm you up,''finished Serenity.
They both chuckled and headed for Snowdrop's home.
''Keep alongside me and you won't have to nervously count your steps, and it's way more relaxing than you ever felt before right?''
''Yeah...''replied Snowdrop, who gently spread out her right wing and placed it upon Serenity's back.''It does feel much better with you, my dear friend.''
Dusk gradually settled over Equestria as the sun left her last shafts of light above the horizon. It was quite interesting to see the clouds turning from shimmeringly golden, then fiery orange, to eventually blurred purple and grey.
''Do you want to know something about my very first friend?''asked Snowdrop.
''Yes, who is your very first friend?''
''Luna.''
''Princess Luna? That's amazing!''Serenity said incredulously, her eyes wide open,''How did you become her friend?''
''We can talk about that afterwards. Now l want to share what Princess Luna told me in my dreams about the beauty and grace the night possesses with you.''
lt's not long before they arrived at Snowdrop's home. Then they bade each other goodbye.''My home is not far away from here, so there's no need to worry.''Serenity said. Then she turned around and headed home.
Serenity quickened her pace,''Few ponies appreciate Luna's night. Most regard it boring and meaningless merely because of the scenery is all but dark. It's unfair. Everything has its glory and brightness, even the seemingly barren land can yield gems of unmeasurable value underneath. The night also has its beauty as long as we use our heart to discover it.''Serenity recalled what Snowdrop said on her way home.
She did like Snowdrop.''Despite her loss of sight, she have a heart pure and kind enough to make a difference.''She thought.
Snowdrop stepped inside her home. A mixture of coziness and warmth engulfed her as she escaped from the freezing wind and snow. Primrose, Snowdrop mother, welcomed her with an embrace:''Dinner's ready, sweetie. Do you have a nice day at school?''
''Today's wonderful, and l successfully make a new friend! She's Serenity.''Snowdrop beamed at her mum.
''Congratulations! l think Serenity is a little shy, but l believe that you can get along well with each other.''
''Yes, she is always afraid of expressing herself, but when she has a friend as other ponies do, she does change a lot. Despite her shy exterior, she has a strong desire to have a friend to interact with. She's more outgoing than she used to be!''
''That's great! Snowdrop, l am so proud of you,''complimented Primrose,''Now it's time for dinner, l've cooked your favourite cuisine.''
''Thanks mum.''Snowdrop smiled as she made her way she memorized to the chair. An appetizing smell wafted its way out through the kitchen and was caught by Snowdrop's nostrils, making her mouth water. No sooner had Primrose saw the expression on Snowdrop's face than she realized that it would be a gratifying dinner for both of them. How mind-refreshing it was for her to see Snowdrop smile happily...
Even if Snowdrop's blind, the love given by Primrose resided deeply inside her. No matter what happened, it would give her enough power and strength to illuminate the darkest hour in her life.
Snowdrop lay in her bed, it made no difference whether it was day or night. But she couldn't avoid getting tired. She was wondering what stars look like when they twinkle, then she drifted off to sleep in peace.
Endless darkness surrounded her even if it was in her dream. Snowdrop perceived that she was standing on a puffy, soft cloud that was humbly bigger than herself. It felt so familiar. A gust of wind swept across the sky far above her, revealing considerable place for the star-strewn sky. It was the place where Snowdrop usually stayed outside her house to hear the stars twinkle in reality. To her surprise, the land of dream seemed to be far more enchanted than reality was. The constellations contained much more stars, bigger and brighter, all of which glittered and shimmered to make magically refreshing sounds for Snowdrop to enjoy.
Negative emotions like frustration, stress as well as sadness declined as the stars sang the mystic song. Snowdrop was perfectly involved in it. She imagined the voices as if they were the rippling waves of the sea, the radiance of the diamond and the eagle soaring over the peak. It felt as though she was part of cloud, part of the wind and part of the starry sky. Her body was physically restricted while her soul and mind remained peaceful and free.
''It's a splendidly starry night, with all sorts of celestial bodies that showcase themselves. I love stars!'' Snowdrop thought, her ears twitching delightedly.
However, it was merely the calm before the storm.
The wind suddenly got stronger and turned into a gale in no time. The monstrous gale charged forward, pushing Snowdrop off the cloud on which she stood, then it thrusted her farther and farther to the edge of Cloudsdale. The cloud far above her gathered again, forming a thick layer of obstacle blocking the light from the stars as well as the sound. Horrified, Snowdrop struggled to maintain her balance, fluttering her wings as hard as she could. But she lost her sense of direction. In her uncontrollable panic, she crashed into the wall of somepony's house.
''Snowdrop! Snowdrop!''She heard Primrose's voice.''Snowdrop...''
The sound gradually died away, so did everything around her. The dreamland shrunk at an astonishing rate into nothingness. In an instant, Snowdrop was awake in consciousness, her breath heavy and fast. The sun was barely up yet and Primrose was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast.
The nightmare had an awful effect on Snowdrop, who sat stiff and motionless on the bed, her heart beating furiously. Shafts of sunlight entered the window and fell upon Snowdrop's face, but this didn't make her feel any better or warmer.
''l am so weak and fragile that l can't even live without other ponies' aid. l...l am so useless.''Snowdrop lowered her head and thought in sorrow.
She couldn't compose her emotions any more. She wept, shedding tears that fell upon her hooves afterwards.
''l can do nothing but make those stupid snowflakes, and...and...no longer than two weeks after l told them how to make a snowflake, they...they can create patterns far more intricate and beautiful than any of mine!'' She confided in her mother.
Primrose stared at Snowdrop for a second. She could sense how it felt to be surrounded by everlasting darkness, and the pony that was suffering from it was her beloved Snowdrop. She stepped forward and hugged Snowdrop tightly, simultaneously stroking her snow-colored mane.
''I feel so sorry, Snowdrop,''said Primrose as tears rolled down her cheek.
''l have once tried to cook with my eyes closed and I can feel now how overwhelming your desire is to see, to watch and to relish what other ponies called them color and shape, earth and sky, sea and star. I feel guilty that l wasn't able to give you a pair of eyes that will enable you to see. Snowdrop, l...l owe you a world, a universe that everypony is supposed to discover its beauty. It's my fault and l...l can't forgive me for making it.''
Tears moved across Primrose's face and shone like tiny diamonds when shafts of sunlight fell upon them. Soft as snow but warm as fire, in silence they fell upon Snowdrop's front hooves and a mysterious and curious feeling occurred to her.
''Mum, l won't blame you for that.''
''But...''
''No pony can take control of what their filly is born to be like, even for those who have magic in their horns. It's literally not your fault.''
''Mum, I really...really don't want to see you in constant anxiety and guilt as well.''
''And whenever l recall these sweet memories you and l have once been experienced. l feel order is brought to my chaotic mind and l'm relieved again.''
''Thank you, Snowdrop. No matter what happened, l am always here to support you. Snowdrop...even though you can't see, you have the purest heart l've ever seen. l know you have the power to seize the opportunities as long as you share your love and kindness.''
''There's nothing more valuable than me seeing you always be happy.''Primrose stared at the adorable filly who melted her heart as the stars outside rhythmically twinkled before completely concealing, making the dawn pacific and divine.
Snowdrop hated the depression and gloom the nightmare had caused. She knew there was a deep magic inside her to fight against it. Burying her head in Primrose's warm and snug mane, She smiled spontaneously.
''Thank you, mom. l won't let you down.''
Cumulo Nimbus was looking for something on other ponies' desks, this was her usual naughty trick to tease other ponies after lunch, because she was always the very first pony that finished it. It turned out that today's victim was Serenity.
''Hey guys, look what l've found. An awful picture drawn by Serenity the coward!'' Cumulo Nimbus said in a mean way. A few of her companies came more closely and strained to push their heads forward to see what it was about.
"Look, isn't it a miserable filly with snow-colored mane and impaired eyes that can't see at all. What a pity! How would she feel if she isn't even able to see my beauty and glory. And the pony who draws it has badly poor skills"
A burst of laughter filled the entire classroom, in which Snowdrop, who didn't go to cafeteria and bad lunch made by her mother, caught every single word they said, her anger flaming inside her stomach. How much did she want to stand up for herself, but she can't, because she was in full awareness that if she did this, it was only much easier for Cumulo Nimbus to bully her in a much more horrible way. She gritted her teeth, struggling to suppress the fury that almost erupted as Serenity came into the classroom. Even though she didn't hear clearly what Cumulo Nimbus was saying, She knew what had happened when she saw the picture that was supposed to be hid under the book was laid flat on the desk.
"Don't touch my objects!" Snapped Serenity.
''Look who comes! Serenity the cowa-"
"Shut up!" interrupted Serenity, her voice loud enough to make the wall tremble, leaving the bullies in shock and disbelief, who never saw Serenity in such rage since their memories could record.
"let's go, Snowdrop, away from these idiots." She whispered to Snowdrop, then they moved outside the classroom, slamming the door shut as Cumulo Nimbus attempted to curse them.
''Thank you for helping me get rid of them.''
''That's what friendships are for.'' Serenity smiled, leading her to the playground where no pony could disturb them.
''The air's pretty fresh here, l like this serene place," Snowdrop turned towards her, savouring the satisfying wind. However, deep in her eyes a sea of sadness was rolling."But I am so fragile, and that is the reason why I'm treated indifferently" Snowdrop sighed, her eyes brimmed with tears.
''Please don't blame yourself that way, it's you who bring me happiness and warmth, who creates the very first snowflake, you're competent and smart,"comforted Serenity.
''Maybe...''
''Listen Snowdrop, there is nothing more important than me seeing you always be happy. Everypony deserves to be happy and cheerful, no matter what conditions he or she is in.''
''l see,''stammered Snowdrop.
''Oh- l have a surprise for you. l almost forget. My birthday party will take place the day after tomorrow. Would you like to come?''
''It's very nice of you. l will come for sure."
"Yay!"Serenity cheered and gave Snowdrop a warm embrace before they walked back to the classroom.
The afternoon went smoothly, with lessons that were generally interesting and no more teases from those bullies. Nevertheless, Snowdrop started worrying ''What if I can't prepare a decent gift for Serenity on her birthday, what if she will be mad at me for not getting a birthday present from her best friend?'' The more she thought about it, the worse it seemed to feel, and she couldn't drive it out of her mind but stick to it. It was quite annoying and depressing. It was much more convenient to buy a gift than to make it on her own. But the latter enabled her to prove that she was at least useful and competent.
A lot of ideas occurred to Snowdrop as she tried to figure out what to do next. But it seemed that there was nothing she could do other than making a snowflake. Realizing that she barely had other alternatives, she resolved to carve a most intricate snowflake out of ice.
But how?
''Maybe you should quit it and buy a present for her,'' Primrose suggested.
''No! I want to make a present myself instead of using your money to buy it that is made by other ponies, l need to do something with my efforts.'' Snowdrop retorted.
''All right, l respect your opinion if you insist.''Primrose sighed, then she left Snowdrop alone in her bedroom.
Snowdrop stood motionless, pondering over the issue on how she could make a beautiful snowflake. She once received a snowflake made by Primrose as a souvenir that was stored in a small chest containing special magic so as to prevent ice from thawing, and the neighbours said it was fairly beautiful. So she unlocked the chest and gingerly picked up the object inside. She slowly ran her right hoof over the snowflake, carefully sensing its patterns and shape and picturing them in her mind that most of us can't possibly comprehend.
Snowdrop was adept at it. it's not long before she discovered that the snowflakes' patterns were distinctly alike except for the uniquely devised pattern in the center. So she quickly conceived a formula that she merely needed to create two kinds of patterns, one kind in the center and the other alongside it. Because of the fact that she couldn't see, how could she be sure that the pattern she made was wonderfully designed? Snowdrop realized this, so instead of simply making one snowflake, she made dozens of them.
''There must be one that is wonderfully shaped, Snowdrop positively imagined one day prior to Serenity's birthday.
However, it turned out badly. Snowdrop had spent a huge amount of time making snowflakes. Despite her hard work and diligence, honestly the snowflakes she made were quite ugly while she was unable to see them. Her blindness had made it impossible to perfectly duplicate the patterns, extremely harder as she attempted to make the snowflakes sophisticated, In fact, the shape she created was utterly irregular, making it even disgusting to look at.
As Snowdrop took out all her "masterpieces" to Primrose to ask for her perspective that which one was the best. But Her mom simply frowned.
''Are you sure your are going to take one of these to Serenity?''Primrose asked.
''Yes, though they look generally queer and ugly, you can still find one that is flawless, can't you?'' inquired Snowdrop.
''I have inspected all of them, I'm very sorry to say that, but they may not fit Serenity very well.'' said Primrose, carefully selecting every single word.
''You mean, they are aw... awful ?'' stammered Snowdrop, ''so awful that they are un…unacceptable?''
"No, sweetie, it's actually not what l mean.'' Then silence fell until Snowdrop suddenly broke down. Regardless of what Primrose tried to say, she rushed out of the house and flew to the cloud she often sat under the starry sky. Devastated, she buried her face in her hooves, weeping.
"Leave me alone!"She shouted as Primrose called her to go home.
Primrose knew Snowdrop too well, it's of no use other than intensifying her emotions if she tried to coax her under this situation.
"She has to overcome the fears on her own.'' Primrose sighed.
Instead of staying next to Snowdrop, she decided to watch her in front of the house.
Snowdrop calmed down a little, her front hooves damp and cold, hoping against hope she looked up at the twinkling stars, all of which emitted seemingly different and curious light this night. She then closed her eyes, feeling nothing but the softness of the cloud and opened her month:
"Stars, can you hear me?"
No response.
''If you are really here, please listen to me.''
''I am Snowdrop. You may hear my name before because I once wished upon you. I really, really don't want to be a wayward pony, but this is of great importance. So before you punish me, please hear something about me and my sincere request.''Snowdrop pause for a while and then continued.
"I am a simple, even queer student at school because my eyes are badly impaired. Thus, I am more vulnerable and weaker than others. Some of them tease me a lot, saying that I'm not capable of anything, which makes me feel even worse. Then Serenity becomes my friend and l appreciate her a lot because she helps me through hard times and brightens my way with hope and love. However, I'm of little help to her, it feels like I'm always other ponies' burden. I don't want to be a burden, so I try very hard to prove that I am not so useless. But...but'' Snowdrop wept, "it turns out that no matter how hard I try, I just can't break through the cage called incapacity."
Tears fell out of her eyes, solidifying into specks of transparent, beautiful ice.
"I wish , I hope , I dream , I pray , the stars overhead, please show me the way, I wanna do something, for the sincere wish to make a difference, for the lasting harmony and peace I keep relentlessly pursuing and for the warm smile across my friends' and families' faces." Snowdrop raised her head and faced the sky once again, anticipating the stars' response.
Then something amazing happened.
At first, there was scarcely any sound until a faint, barely audible voice sang overhead. Then it grew louder and louder, arousing glee and sorrow, excitement and depression at the very same moment. Snowdrop stood in trance, wondering what would happen next with thrill and excitement. The voice sang on and on as if an enormous whale concealed in the sky slowly raised its head, chanting an ancient song. After several minutes that seemed like hours and hours, it gradually got fainter and fainter and all faded into utter silence.
Then, a voice from far above the cloud broke the silence as if the stars were speaking:
"Snowdrop? Can you hear us?"
The voice was echoing all across Cloudsdale. But it seemed that only Snowdrop could hear it.
''Stars! You are really here!'' Snowdrop said in wonder.
''Yes,''the stars replied. ''We are glad to encounter a young filly like you.''
''Really?" said Snowdrop, her eyes aglow.
''Can't be truer, the gift you possessed is very unique and special. Knowing how it feels to be in sorrow and loneliness is the reason why we should always be kind to others. Snowdrop, your heart is pure and kind, you're bold as well. Do you know why?"
"I...I never think about this."
''There are two aspects, both are indispensable. One reason is that deep down in your heart, there's an urge that motivates you to find a better self, you seize your opportunities and never easily give up, nor do you give in when obstacles and difficulties block your way. The other is because of the ponies who always support and love you like your mum and Serenity. What they offer becomes your strongest shield that inspires your hope. Now, we have another thing to tell you.
''What is it about?''inquired Snowdrop.
''Do you really know which gift does Serenity want most? It's not the gift you've tried to make all by yourself, absolutely not. What she wants most is the fact that you are happy. You know what? Not long before you wished, Serenity had made a wish on the very same evening. She wished you could get rid of depression and live a happier life that you deserve.''
Snowdrop stood astonished and a surge of warmth ran through her whole body.
"But the magic inside her is not strong enough to make us help you realize the second wish. It's utterly rare. To our surprise, you make the wish too, which renders the magic strong enough to work miracles.''
''Snowdrop, your wish shall be granted, for your tight bond of friendship, for all the hard times you have been through, and for the love your families generously offer. How could you be the pony that truly appreciates the night with eyes that can't even see what it actually is?''
"Snowdrop, now open your eyes." The mystic voice echoed, as if the source of it was not from the sky but everywhere around Snowdrop.
What Snowdrop would see would be fascinating, splendid as well as mind-refreshing. What we know is that she would set off on a whole new adventure with happiness, friendships and love always alongside her, yet some inevitable and necessary obstacles that would harden her soul.
The dawn of a new day approached, eliminating the gloom and darkness that once tortured Snowdrop. Then the sun arose, lightening her way ahead.
