Discord wreaked havoc upon Ponyville once more. Rarity had nowhere to run. She ran back and forth, looking for somewhere to go. Everything happened so fast, Rarity couldn't even process what was happening. Suddenly, out of nowhere, A bright explosion of white light came from above her in the sky, she looked to see what it was. "Discord, your days are numbered!" A familiar voice boomed from everywhere, and nowhere. A massive figure she recognized as none other than Twilight Sparkle came seemingly out of nowhere. "I have defeated you once, and I shall do it once more," She boomed once more. Discord maniacally laughed, taking obvious pleasure in Twilight's 'pathetic' attempt to defeat him again. "You fool, you're mortal! You could never beat such an eminence such as I!" He cackled. Twilight Sparkle smirked. "Test me, I'm 'mortal'." Discord blasted a ray of magic at Twilight, confident in his abilities. She dodged his every attack, and countered them with her own successful blows at him. He was still confident, despite being beat over, and over, and over again. 'One final blow,' Twilight thought. She pulled her head back before blasting Discord with a blast as big as Celestia's sun itself. With this blast, Discord disintegrated, a scream of agony being heard, before it was completely silent. Rarity watched in awe as Twilight gently floated down to the ground. And soon enough, everything was warped back to reality. Rarity just stood there, shook at how Twilight did this with such precision. Princess Luna stood afar, somewhere on a cloud, watching this all. She had decided against stopping this dream, so she could also experience the incredible fight scene between the two. While she was watching, she was also playing with Mane 6© collectible figurines, making the Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash collectibles kiss. Luna definitely ships Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy Author's Note More lyrics in the chapter this time i put them there on purpose. (This was also just a lame excuse for me to write a fight scene between Discord and Twilight) PrologueAfter an exhausting three day weekend of helping Coco Pommel in Manehattan, I trotted off the train to Ponyville, luggage in my grasp of my magical pale aqua grasp; I clenched the handle of the suitcase tight, as to not let it slip, and to not allow the contents inside to spill. Once I reached the platform of the train station, I was greeted by two of my best friends in all of Equestria. "Hiya, Rarity!" Pinkie Pie bounced over to me and almost tackled me to the ground, before she was stopped right in her tracks by my other friend, Twilight Sparkle. Pinkie Pie was enveloped in Twilight's magenta aura of magic. She floated Pinkie back over to where she was, before approaching me with a warm smile. "Hello Rarity, how was your trip to Manehattan?" She gazed into my eyes as I melted into hers. 'No!' I thought to myself. 'Twilight is just a friend, I mustn't be so..' My brain scanned for the right word. 'So indulgent with my feelings, although I wonder if--' "Rarity, are you alright?" My thoughts were interrupted by Twilight's sudden question. "Yes, just a bit lost in thought is all." She smiled at me, and I reciprocated it with one of my own. "The trip was absolutely splendid, Twilight, darling. Though a bit rough when it came to finding a suitable hotel." 'I mustn't complain though, the suites were amazingly luxurious,' I thought again. Pinkie bounced over to me and Twilight, clearly excited for some reason unbeknownst to me, and Twilight too. "Hey, girls; enough with the chit-chat! Everypony else is waiting for us to get back to Sugarcube Corner, because we have a celebration tonight, to celebrate Rarity's return!" Pinkie pulled her party cannon out of thin air, as per usual. She leaped up into the air, expelling an excited "Woo-Hoo" as the confetti from her cannon exploded in the air. As Twilight, Pinkie, and I approached Sugarcube Corner, I noticed how close Pinkie and Twilight were trotting together; It made me wonder if they were closer than just friends. 'No, don't think like that Rarity,' I thought. 'If they were dating, or at least were closer than friends, they would've made it abundantly clear to everypony sooner or later.' Pinkie Pie opened the door to reveal the rest of our friends all in a straight line, equipped with mini confetti cannons, at the ready. As soon as we entered, all of the confetti cannons exploded, some of it entering the air and slowly falling down as everyone cheered for my return. I winced at the sudden noise, but smiled regardless. "Welcome back, Rarity!" they all shouted in unison. They all approached me with warmth, ready to surround me for a hug. "One thing I don't understand is why we have to throw a party for this," Applejack said. "Rarity is coming back from Manehattan, don't see the reason for a party." "Silly Applejack, everything is a cause for celebration!" Pinkie cheered. "There's never not a time when you can celebrate!" She smiled a grin so big, it could split her face apart; but, alas, it was Pinkie Pie. It seemed as if nothing or nopony could stop her. As I slowly walk home, my thoughts catch up to my movements. 'I do wonder what Pinkie and Twilight mean to each other. I doubt it, but they may be dating,' I grasped the mat in front of my door with my turquoise aura, and floated a key from under as i let go of the mat. I unlocked my front door, quietly trotting inside. I set down my suitcase by the door, groggily walking up the stairs to my bedroom. I walk into my bedroom, and take a quick shower before drying myself off with a towel that needs to go in the wash. I disregarded it as I climbed into bed, pulling my eye mask over my head. I can't sleep, the thoughts in my head are too loud to ignore. 'Do I actually like Twilight?' I thought. 'I'd hate to admit it, but i've been feeling just a tad jealous..' My eyes stayed open for a long period of time, which was only ten minutes, but felt like an eternity. I sat up in bed before getting out, pushing the blankets out of my way. I walked out of my room into the hallway, approaching Sweetie Belle's room. I quietly opened her door, especially careful to not make any noises. She was sleeping peacefully in bed, under her blankets, content. 'I wonder what kind of dream she's having right now,' I thought as I quietly closed her door, and very lightly trotted down my stairs, softly trotting over to the refrigerator and opening it. I grabbed a cold bottle of water, undid the top and drank it all. A small drop of the water I drank fell beside my muzzle, and I quickly swiped it off due to the discomfort of the water on my mouth. I hear the small creak of a door open. "Rarity?" Sweetie Belle whispers as she groggily and silently walks down the stairs towards me, eyes heavy and clearly tired. "Why are you up so late?" "Don't worry about that, Sweetie." I thought for a second. "Since we're both up, how about a little girl time, hmm?" I smiled, and Sweetie Belle lit up like a light bulb, daring to illuminate the entire room. "I'll take that as a yes," I chuckled. As both Sweetie Belle and I headed up the stairs to the loft, I quietly wondered how Sweetie suddenly woke up. 'Was I too loud? Too rash, perhaps? I do feel eternally guilty for waking her up.' I thought. I decided against asking her. After what felt like three exhausting but enjoyable hours with my little sister, undoubtedly longer, it was 7AM. Luckily, it was a Saturday, so I didn't need to drop Sweetie off to her school. We both went into our rooms, both craving sleep after the long night of bonding we had with each other. Even so, more thoughts plagued my mind once more; but this time, I was finally able to go to sleep. My eyelids heavy, I slowly closed my eyes, not bothering to pull my eye mask over my face. I sighed contently, before drifting off into Luna's dream world... PROLOGUE END Author's Note This story may not be all what it seems 1: Is it true?Pinkie hopped, bounced, and pranced around Twilight as me, Applejack, Fluttershy and all of our pets approached the two mares, who were accompanied by theirs. Rainbow Dash's whereabouts in Ponyville were currently unknown. Me, Applejack, and Fluttershy all just assumed different things; The former believed that she was somewhere on a cloud, sleeping. The latter believed that Rainbow had an unexpected Wonderbolt's academy lesson that she could've been late too. "Hi, hi, hi, everypony!" Pinkie shouted, an impossibly big smile plastered on her face, big enough to even where we three can see it, approximately over 100 feet away from where Twilight and Pinkie were. Discreetly as I possibly could, I frowned. I thought nopony would be able to notice, but when Fluttershy turned her head towards me, her face went from a small, content smile to a slightly frowning, knowing face. She softly patted me on the back, and smiled. I returned the smile, naturally. We finally met Twilight and Pinkie at the end of the pathway, that seemed to go on for an infinite amount of time, despite the pace at which we were going. Pinkie bounced in excitement to see us all; before she noticed that Rainbow Dash wasn't with us. "Where's Dashie?" she asked. She was still smiling, albeit an eyebrow raised. We all collectively shrugged, in a chorus of "I don't know", or what sounded like "ionkno" from Applejack. Pinkie's ears flattened against the side of her head, then perked right back up. "Well that's all right! We can still have our pony-pet play date! I wonder if the pets will mind; especially Gummy. He and Tank have gotten pretty close lately," Pinkie shrugged. "Oh, well! It's just one pony-pet play date without Tank and Dashie!" She smiled, and promptly bounced away, the rest of us following. After a few hours, Celestia's sun had started to set, and Luna's moon had started to rise. The sky was a hazy red, orange, and yellow. Everypony went their separate ways, off to their place of residence. Fluttershy and I went in the same direction, as we were heading to my house for our monthly sleepover. Once we reached my house, I lifted the front mat off the ground, and floated a key from under. I let go of the mat as I unlocked the front door. We let the pets into the house first, before we both headed inside. "Rarity, we need to talk." Fluttershy softly demanded. "Sure, darling. Let me make some tea for us." I walked away from Fluttershy, leaving her alone. I came back with two cups filled with hot, steam coming from the drink; Fluttershy had already positioned herself on the couch. I sat on the chair across from her, gently placing her cup of tea in front of her, holding mine still in my hooves. I slid a cup of sugar in the middle of the table, watching Fluttershy drop three cubes of it in her tea. plop, plop, plop, the cubes went as they fell into her tea. As I started to speak, Fluttershy quickly grabbed a spoon to stir her tea. "So, what did you want to talk about, darling?" I asked, leaning slightly forward in little anticipation. "You," Fluttershy responded. I was almost taken aback by the sharpness in her tone. "What about me?" I raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of my tea. "Or, more so, your feelings for Pinkie Pie." I blinked once, then twice. "Fluttershy, darling, don't be preposterous! I have no feelings for Pinkie Pie," I frowned. "Why would you ever assume such a thing?" "I saw how you looked at Pinkie and Twilight." She paused, as she looked me directly in the eye. "Or was it Twilight you have feelings for?" She raised a knowing eyebrow. I halfway spit out my tea, directly in her face; quickly placing a hoof over my muzzle to prevent any of my... Fluids from spurting out of my mouth. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I hope you don't mind my asking..." She squeaked so quietly, you could hear a pin drop over her. "Oh, no, darling. I don't mind you asking at all." I floated a cloth over to clean up my mess, while Fluttershy took a meek sip of her tea. She nodded, taking another small sip of her tea. I lifted my head up from cleaning, and threw the dirty cloth away. "Now, how about we have our usual sleepover routine, hmm?" I smiled, and Fluttershy smiled back and softly nodded. "...And that's why she did it!" Me and Fluttershy laughed, before sighing and leaning back in our chairs. "Rarity, this was great but--" Fluttershy yawned, cutting her off. "shouldn't we be getting to sleep, now?" I yawned as well, covering my muzzle with a hoof. "I suppose you're right, darling." We both sat up in our chairs, standing up. Heading up the stairs, Fluttershy yawned once more, signifying just how tired she is. Once we reached our corresponded rooms, we both said our good nights, and headed off to bed. I slid into my bed, floating my eye mask over to my bed. I turned the lights off in my room, pulled the mask over my head and on top of my eyes, and closed them. As I drifted off into Luna's dream world, I heard nothing but silence, which was exactly just how I liked it.
