Alphabittle is glad to have his daughter back, but there's still one thing that puzzles him: If Opaline was such a horrible pony to Misty for so long, why didn't Misty leave until after meeting Sunny and her friends? Hoping for answers, he takes advantage of Misty's visit to Bridlewood to ask her directly.

Though hesitant to dwell on her painful past, Misty agrees. It will soon come to light that Opaline herself played in a role preventing Misty from remembering her father or thinking about leaving.
