Thunder and lightning slammed against the land of Equestria like drummers slamming down onto their drums, rain falling as if trying to wash away the blood that stained the land. For years, too many for anyone to remember, the main inhabitants of Equestria the ponies have been at war with the invading species of humans.
They had tried to show friendship to the homosapiens, and were met with anger and violence. Sticks of fire, later learned to be called guns, erupted their pellets of death and destruction. Shedding the blood of all the other races on the planet, leaving the ponies to be the final line of defense against the monsters. Old enemies become friends to fight against the nearly unstoppable forces the humans exposed, one lone Pegasus mare however knew the two species could get along. She shed a single tear as she looked down at a picture of a young Pegasus filly with a yellow coat and feathers, along with a pink head of mane and tail. Next to the filly was a tall human that was smiling, the two embracing in an embrace.
“Oh, why can't they understand? Not all humans are evil…” she whispered, another Pegasus pony with a rainbow head of hair and tail with cyan fur and feathers walked up to her.
“Shy, it's time. The humans are on the march, we need your animals to help us win this fight.” The mare said with a small frown, a scar spreading across her entire face in the shape of an X leading from her partially missing ear.
“C-can’t we just try talking with them again?” Fluttershy said softly.
“Shy we've been over this, they won't listen to reason! It's as if they don't even understand us, and we need to protect our home!” The Pegasus said with a frown.
Fluttershy whimpered a bit. “I don’t like the fighting…”
The pony sighed and nodded. “I know shy, none of us do. But if we don't we'll end up like all the other races those monsters have exterminated.”
“But Rainbow, they aren't all like that!” Fluttershy said with frown.
Rainbow rolled her eyes. “Oh yes, your foalhood imaginary human.”
Fluttershy frowned at her, tears filling her eyes. “He wasn't imaginary!”
Rainbow got into her face. “If he wasn’t then he was an advanced scout and you are a traitor, I don’t want you to be a traitor.”
Fluttershy teared up more as she shook her head. “No he wasn't! He protected me from the other humans!”
Rainbow crossed her hooves. “I still don’t believe it was real.”
“So what am I crazy then?” Fluttershy asked with a frown, looking away as the two made their way to the castle of the two sisters which had been fortified and rebuilt for defense.
“It is better than being a traitor.” Rainbow said while looking away.
Fluttershy sighed sadly as the two made their way to the council room. “Ah good Fluttershy, I need you to have your animals ready to go. Those monsters are almost here.” A tall white Alicorn mare said, with a gentle smile.
Fluttershy shyly dug at the ground. “B-but my animal friends will be hurt.”
The mare frowned a little. “I know, I wish they wouldn't but they have the best chance of survival.”
Fluttershy sighed softly and looked down. “Ok princess…”
“Thank you.” She said with a small nod, and a tired sigh. “I just wish we knew how to get rid of them.”
“Sounds to me like you could use a hero.” A voice said from nowhere.
Fluttershy jumped a bit and looked around. “Discord? Y-you are going to help us?”
“Oh come now my dear, do I really seem like the type to help?” Discord asked as a chimera made up of multiple parts appeared. “No, I owe a favor to a friend of mine, and he doesn't want this world destroyed. So I'm going to use my magic to summon a hero for you all. “
“A hero?” Princess Celestia asked with a frown. “What kind of hero?”
Discord grinned a little. “Let's just say you won't believe it, and it'll be much more interesting and fun to watch your reactions. However there is one thing I will say. One of you is very close friends with him.”
A small dragon jumped up and down. “Is it one of the power ponies!?”
Discord laughed a lot as he began fading away. “You won't believe me if I told you, but this is going to be a lot of fun for me!” He said as everyone heard a snapping sound.
The ponies in the room waited with baited breath and confusion for a long time, before a white unicorn mare with a purple mane sighed. “He was toying with us after all, and here I had hoped he would actually -” She started to say, a burst of magic enveloping the room and blinding everyone.
“Aahhh oof! Fuck that hurt.” A male voice was heard from the middle of the room. The light slowly began to fade, letting everyone in the room see again.
The ponies eyes widened in shock and horror as a human sat on the table in the middle of the room, his brown hair a mess while his white jacket and black shirt and pants remained perfectly intact. “Where am I?” The human asked, slowly sitting up while rubbing his head.
Fluttershy slowly took a step forward. “D-dillan?” She asked softly before she was pulled back by Rainbow.
“What the buck is this!? Why would Discord summon a human!?” She yelled as the man looked around a little, his eyes widening at all the ponies.
“Unicorn, Pegasi, Alicorns… a dragon… I'm either dead or I've gone insane.” The man said, shaking his head a little.
“Dillan is that you?” Fluttershy tried to call out as she peeked around Rainbow.
“Fluttershy, stay back!” Rainbow yelled, making the human look at them with wide eyes.
“Wait… Fluttershy?” He asked, looking at the timid yellow and pink Pegasus mare. “Holy crap! It is you!”
Princess Celestia used her magic to grab him and slam him back onto the table. “I don’t know why Discord summoned you here but you will tell me everything you are planning.”
Dillan's eyes widened in fear and shock as he stared at her. “W-what are you talking about!?”
“You will tell me everything your people are planning!” Celestia shouted.
“I don't know what you're talking about! I was just walking down the road after a comic convention where I bought the watch on my hand, and suddenly I'm here!” Dillan said, shaking a little in fear.
“Humans have killed almost all the other species and you say you know nothing about it!?” Celestia shouted before she slammed him onto the table again. “I don’t believe you!”
Dillan yelled in pain as he coughed, shaking more as he stared at Celestia in fear. “P-please… i-i haven't done anything!”
“Leave him alone!” Fluttershy shouted, flying in between Celestia and Dillan.
Celestia looked at Fluttershy in shock. “I know you don’t like violence Fluttershy but we need to know what he knows about the humans’ plans or we will all be at their mercy.”
As she talked, a device on Dillan’s hand started to beep. “Uncovered DNA detected.”
“Wait what?” Dillan asked, Trying to look at his watch but was held down by Celestia’s magic.
“So you're just going to torture him?! He's my friend, let me talk to him!” Fluttershy asked desperately.
A yellow beam of light passed over Fluttershy from the device. “Fluttershy move, we have no idea what that device just did to you!” Rainbow shouted.
Fluttershy Looked down at Dillan as he tried looking at his watch more, a look of confusion on his face before Celestia's magic squeezed him tightly. “What did you do!?” Celestia yelled angrily, as Dillan screamed in pain.
“I didn’t do anything!” Dillan yelled as he felt his bones creaking, tears swelled up in his eyes as he sobbed a little. “P-please… I didn't…”
“Stop!” Fluttershy shouted at Celestia.
“Not until he talks.” Celestia said while glaring at Dillan.
Everyone watched in shock as Fluttershy slapped Celestia, glaring at the monarch with her stare. “LET HIM GO!”
Celestia was so shocked her magic stopped and Dillan hit the table. Dillan screamed in pain. As he held his sides, tears flowing down his cheeks as Fluttershy stared daggers at Celestia. “W-why… w-what did I ever do to you...?” Dillan asked through his sobs.
Celestia struggled for a moment before she closed her eyes and looked away from Fluttershy. “Your people have killed most of the world.”
“And what does that have to do with me!?” Dillan shouted, holding his side as he shook. “I haven't done anything and you almost killed me!”
“You are part of the race that has attacked us.” Celestia said while still looking away from Fluttershy.
“So you tried to kill him!?” Fluttershy shouted. “That's like blaming all Alicorns for Nightmare Moon's actions!”
Celestia flinched a bit. “We can’t risk him being some kind of spy.”
“Discord is the one that brought him here!” Fluttershy shouted as her friends stared at her in surprise from her boldness.
“I-i can't breathe…” Dillan said, his breathing becoming haggard.
“And Discord can’t be trusted either.” Celestia said as the dragon slowly reached out to Dillan’s wrist.
“Barb, what are you doing?” Twilight asked as the watch glowed yellow again.
“Uncataloged DNA detected.” It beeped before a yellow beam washed over the dragon.
Barb blinked before she looked at her hand. “It didn’t hurt.”
“It didn't?” Twilight asked, frowning a little as she looked at Dillan her horn glowing as she blasted him with magic.
“What are you doing!?” Fluttershy yelled, trying to stop Twilight before Rainbow got in between them.
“I'm healing him, he can't answer our questions dead.” Twilight said.
Barb was still looking at her hand. “That thing on his claw said ‘uncatalogued DNA’...could it be saving DNA?”
“You mean like an arc?” Twilight asked in surprise, looking back at the watch.
“I-its… called the Omnitrix…” Dillan said softly, before passing out.
“Dillan!” Fluttershy yelled worriedly.
Twilight frowned as she tried to remove the watch from his hand but it wouldn’t pull off. “It isn’t coming off…”
Fluttershy teared up as she stared at the human, before glaring back at Celestia. “Are you happy now!? You acted no different than the humans!”
“I did what I did to protect us all.” Celestia said with a frown. “And it seems you are more worried for this human than your fellow pony.”
Fluttershy’s face turned red as she looked away. “He's my friend, when I was a filly I was pulled through a portal and was in the human world… he found me and kept me safe and alive…”
“Fluttershy now isn’t the time for your made up stories!” Rainbow shouted. “Don’t you understand what you did?!”
“It's not a bucking made up story!” Fluttershy shouted at Rainbow Dash. “If it was made up how would he have recognized me!?”
Rainbow flinched back before she glared at her friend. “Maybe because we are all famous?!”
“Then how did Fluttershy know his name?” A pink earth pony asked with a smile.
Rainbow grumbled a bit as she looked away. “She still hit the princess.”
“And I would do it again.” Fluttershy said softly. “Not just because he's my friend, but because we Shouldn't blame all humans for the sins of a select few.”
“A few!? There are thousands of humans trying to kill us!” Rainbow shouted.
“So that makes it ok!?” Fluttershy shouted at her with a deep frown. “That makes it alright to attack another creature just like they're doing? To kill them without giving them a chance at all!? He wasn't hostile towards any of us, and Celestia almost killed him! There's no excuse for that!”
Celestia frowned at Fluttershy. “In case you haven’t noticed, we are at war.”
Fluttershy frowned at her. “So that justifies murder? If we start doing that then what's the difference between us and them?”
“We are defending ourselves from these monsters.” Rainbow said with a frown.
Fluttershy looked at the rest of her friends. “What about all of you? What do you think?”
The pink and white mares looked away in shame, the orange mare lowered her hat, and the purple mare was still focused on the device on Dillan’s hand.
Fluttershy frowned deeper as she looked down. “I see…”
“See? You are the only one that cares about these monsters.” Celestia said with a frown. “Now go get the animals ready, we will lock this human uo and question him as soon as we can.”
“No.” Fluttershy said with a frown. “I'm not leaving my friend alone with you.”
“I gave you an order Fluttershy.” Celestia told her.
Fluttershy frowned at her as Rainbow nudged Fluttershy. “Shy come on, you're not acting like yourself.”
Fluttershy slowly got up before ripping off her element of harmony and throwing it along the floor to Celestia. “If you hurt him, I'm never using that again.”
Celestia sighed and closed her eyes. “Rainbow, Applejack, please restrain Fluttershy and Barb, that device must be infuling them.”
“What!?” Fluttershy and Barb yelled.
“But I haven't done anything!” Barb said with a frown.
“You were hit by that yellow beam, just like Fluttershy was.” Celestia said with a frown.
“This is why I'm not going to use my element!” Fluttershy shouted at Celestia. “This right here, all this cruelty!”
“This is what we have to do to make sure we are safe.” Celestia said before she looked at the two ponies. “Grab them now.”
Rainbow sighed a little as she went to grab Barb, however Twilight stopped her. “Princess Barb is my assistant and little sister. I need her!”
“I am sorry Twilight but that device-” Celestia started to say before a yellow beam went over Twilight next.
“What is all the noise?” A voice asked as Luna walked into the room, a yellow beam washing over her as well.
“Oh! Oh! Me! Me!” Pinkie said, bouncing over as a yellow beam washed over her.
Celestia gasped and groaned. “Rainbow, Applejack, please…please take Fluttershy, Barb, Twilight, my sister, Pinkie, and the human to the dungeons and lock them up.”
“What? Sister what is happening!” Luna demanded to know.
“Discord made this human appear and he has an odd device that flashed yellow light on each of the ponies I named, and Fluttershy and Barb seem to be defending the human. It may be a form of mind control.” Celestia told her before her horn lit with magic. “Please do not fight me sister.”
Luna frowned as Barb shook a little. “Sister this is madness, why would Discord summon a human?”
“I do not know…he said he was summoning a hero, but he made a human appear.” Celestia said before she looked at Luna. “And I don’t know if you and the others are affected by some human device.”
Luna frowned more. “We understand sister, we shall go.”
“No! I'm defending him because he's my friend!” Fluttershy said with tears in her eyes.
“Fluttershy even if he's the same human you say you met, how do you know he hasn't changed?” Rainbow asked with a frown. “Just because he recognized you doesn't mean he isn't like the other humans.”
“How do you know he recognized her?” Luna asked.
“Because he was awake.” Fluttershy said with a frown. “He was talking with us, before princess Celestia crushed him in her magic. I could hear his bones cracking!”
“Talking…with not at? And ….you could understand him?” Luna asked with a frown.
Celestia’s eyes widened a little in realization as Fluttershy nodded a little. “Yes why?”
“The humans don’t speak our language…how could he talk with you?” Luna asked.
Fluttershy tilted her head in confusion before slowly looking at Dillan. “I… I'm not sure… I couldn't understand him as a filly. We talked through writing and drawing.”
Celestia frowned and closed her eyes. “Ok…maybe the device isn’t influencing you, but it does do something. Fluttershy, this is your last chance, get the animals ready or you will be put in the dungeon alongside the human.”
Fluttershy whimpered a little as she teared up. “B-but I haven't seen him in so long… i-i want to talk with him…”
Celestia frowned and looked at Rainbow. “Take them both away.”
Rainbow sighed softly and nodded a little, her hears dropping back as she looked at Fluttershy for a moment. “W-what if she got the animals ready and then was allowed to talk with him?” Barb suggested timidly. “That wouldn't go against your orders right?”
Celestia sighed and looked at Fluttershy. “Fine.”
Fluttershy smiled widely as she flew out of the room. “We have never seen her so excited.” Luna said with a confused frown.
Rainbow groaned and picked up the human. “She said she met this guy when she was a foal.”
“Truly?” Luna asked, tapping her chin. “We remember seeing her memory dreams once of a filly and young human playing, smiling and having fun together.”
“Luna please don’t encourage her delusions humans are nothing but killers and monsters.” Celestia said while rubbing her head,
Luna frowned a little. “Perhaps… or perhaps we have not met any good ones as of yet.”
“We have a war to fight Luna, we don’t have time to worry about what ifs.”
Luna frowned softly. “Sister, we understand we must survive this and win this war. But now that one of them can understand us, should we not try a diplomatic attempt again?”
“How do we know he isn’t some kind of spy?” Celestia asked with a frown.
Luna hummed a little. “We do not, but for all we know he may not even be with the humans that are attacking us.”
“Until we know for sure we must assume he is.” Celestia said before she frowned and looked down at the table, sighing she used her magic to fix all the little figures that stood in for soldier placements.
The dragoness looked down at her hand again before looking where Rainbow took the human, quickly running after them. “Barb can you get…” Twilight started to ask before she looked around and frowned. “Where did she go?”
“She went after Rainbow and the human!” Pinkie said, bouncing around a little.
Twilight frowned and looked at princess Celestia. “May I go check on her?”
Celestia frowned a little as well but nodded slowly. “Yes, but be careful.”
“Yes princess.” Twilight said before leaving, she quickly made her way down to the dungeon, watching as Rainbow left with Barb watching the human from the side. “Barb what are you doing?”
Barb jumped and rubbed her hands nervously. “I…wanted to talk with the human when he woke up.”
Twilight frowned a little as she glanced at the human. “I will admit I am curious about that device…”
“Me too.” Barb said before she poked her fingers together. “Maybe it takes fingers to work it.”
Twilight hummed a little as she tapped her chin. “Perhaps, it is a human made device.”
“Should I touch it?” Barb asked.
Twilight frowned more as she looked at the human. “Not yet, let's get Celestia and Luna first.”
“Ugh, my head.” The human groaned, reaching a hand up to its forehead.
Barb jumped a bit. “He is waking up!”
Twilight frowned more as the human sat up, shaking his head with a groan. “I feel like I've been crushed by a piano.”
Barb looked at Twilight. “We really can understand him.”
“But it shouldn't be possible.” Twilight muttered as the human looked around a little, jumping at the site of them before getting in a corner and shaking in fear.
“Get away from me!”
Barb looked between Twilight and the human. “Twilight maybe…give him some food?”
Twilight hummed a little as she turned to a guard, nodding a little before he left. “I'm not hungry! I wanna know why I was almost crushed to death by that psychopath!”
“Hey, that psychopath is our princess!” Barb said with a frown.
“That doesn't change the fact she almost killed me!” Dillan yelled, hugging himself as he shook in fear. “I-i could feel my bones cracking and breaking, I…I…”
“Well you are at war with us.” Barb said softly.
“What war!” Dillan shouted. “I haven't heard of any war!”
“How is that possible?” Twilight asked with a frown.
“The huge war that the humans started and have been winning, killing everything on our world?” Barb said to him as a question.
Dillan's eyes widened in shock. “What!? You can't be serious! Humans have laws against mass genocide on sentient species!”
“Well they don’t seem to be stopping.” Barb said as she crossed her arms. “I may be one of the last dragons in the world…” She said before looking away sadly.
Dillan stared at her in shock still, slowly falling onto his butt. “H-how… t-this is crazy…”
Barb frowned at him. “You really don’t know?”
Dillan shook his head slowly. “N-no… there was never any mention of a war back home…”
“That…is weird.” Barb said with a frown.
“I don't understand, how can that be?” Twilight asked, tapping her chin. “Unless Discord pulled you from a different human world.”
“Who?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You don’t know who Discord is either?” Barb asked before she looked at Twilight. “Didn’t he make a big scene when the humans first arrived?”
Twilight nodded with a confused frown. “Yes he did, saying about how he loved the chaos they were making until they started killing.”
“Great, I'm in a world I don't know and with creatures that want me dead just because I'm a human. Wonderful.” Dillan said with a sigh as he sat on the bed in his cell.
Barb fidgeted a bit. “How do you know Fluttershy?”
Dillan looked at her for a moment. “Well, around… twenty years ago or so I watched as she came through a portal. She was so afraid and scared and I couldn't understand her. I thought she was just an animal at first before I learned she was sentient.”
Barb’s eyes widened before she looked at Twilight. “Could all the humans think we are just animals because they can't understand us?”
Twilight frowned a little. “No, we've shown them we're sentient.”
“Did anything threaten them?” Dillan asked. “Humans are… skittish to say the least. If something threatened them they would have retaliated.”
Twilight looked at him. “If anypony did, they probably already killed them.”
Dillan frowned slightly as he crossed his arms while tapping his chin, none of them noticing the two Alicorns listening in from the doorway. “Then that would just leave them desperate for some reason….” He muttered, looking confused before his eyes slowly widened in surprise and horror.
“What do you mean desperate? They have killed full grown dragons without breaking a sweat.” Twilight said with a frown. “They are killing machines.”
Dillan frowned and looked away. “I… I can't say for sure, but back home my planet where I'm from… it's dying.”
“Dying?” Barb asked.
Dillan nodded a little. “Yeah, the humans of my world have stripped it of all its natural resources. Water is scarce, food even scarcer. If we don't so something the entirety of the human race on my world will die and go extinct.”
“So that's why you came.” Celestia said as she walked into view. “You destroyed your world and now you've come for ours.”
Everyone watched in confusion and slight amazement as Dillan suddenly flipped his bed to use as a shield and his behind it when Celestia came into view, making Barb giggle a little at the silliness. “Get away from me you Psychopath, I don't need my bones turned into pulp.”
“Then tell us everything you know.” Celestia said with a frown.
“And why should I cooperate with a Psychopath that tried to kill me?” Dillan asked with a deeper frown.
“Because if you do not answer me then you will answer my sister.” Celestia said with a frown.
“You know, using threats and demanding answers to things someone doesn't know don't typically work out. Not only that but if you didn't notice I was talking with those two perfectly fine without threats.” Dillan said with a frown, glancing at Barb and Twilight for a second. “You could try asking, instead of crushing me or demanding answers.”
Celestia frowned deeper as Luna looked at him. “We heard everything thou said to Barb and Twilight, would thou please inform us of what thou knows?”
“So long as she doesn't try to kill me again.” Dillan said glaring at Celestia. “No matter what the circumstances murder is never ok.”
“So long as you do not try to attack my ponies.” Celestia said while frowning at him.
Dillan frowned at her more. “I appear in a flash of light, recognize one of the ponies as a friend and you attack me. What part of that made you think I'd attack them?”
“Your watch turned yellow and did something to Fluttershy!” She said glaring back at him.
“Huh?” Dillan asked in confusion, looking down at his watch. “This thing? It's just a replica of a watch from a work of fiction, it doesn't do anything.”
“It did the same thing to Princess Luna, Twilight, Me, and Pinkie Pie.” Barb said before she pointed at it. “What does it do?”
Dillan blinked a little bit as he slowly looked back down at the watch with wide eyes. “I-it can't be real… it's impossible.”
“What’s impossible?” Twilight asked.
“This!” He said holding up the watch. “I can't take care of a stinken goldfish without it dying! I can't be responsible for the Omnitrix of all things!”
“What is the omni-thingy? What does it do?” Barb asked nervously.
Dillan covered his face with a single eye showing his nervousness and fear. “It's a machine from a fictional world called Ben 10. It's a watch that lets the user transform into any sentient species in its database, and if it doesn't have the DNA it turns yellow and scans it. Adding it to its database.”
Twilight looked worried. “So…with it you can turn into me, Barb, Pinkie, and Fluttershy?”
“And Luna.” Celestia said with a glare at Dillan who shook his head as he slowly put his bed back, sitting down on it as he stared at the ground in shock.
“No, not an exact copy of the DNA source. It'll let me transform into what I'd look like as a Unicorn, earth pony, Pegusai, Alicorn and Dragon. It'll alter my DNA and make me become that species.”
Twilight frowned a bit. “Show us.”
Dillan looked at her for a moment before back at the Omnitrix with a small gulp. “I-i don't know… I'm not sure if I'll be able to turn back. This thing is supposed to be fictional…”
“Then remove it.” Twilight told him.
Dillan raised an eyebrow as he grabbed the watch, beginning to pull it off without it budging as a white dial circle appeared around the hourglass shape. “What is it doing?” Luna asked with a frown, making Dillan pause as he looked back at it, slowly moving his hand from the top as the circle vanished and a white hourglass pad appeared.
“Oh crap, I accidentally selected a transformation.” Dillan said with a frown.
“So can you remove it or not?” Twilight asked.
“How does the watch work in the story?” Barb asked.
“Uh.” He said looking at the two of them while Celestia and Luna watched with a glare and a curious look respectively. “First question, no. I need the code and I don't have it. Second question, if I push down this dial pad it'll transform me into the apex version of whatever transformation is selected. I'd become the ‘perfect’ example of whatever I turn into.”
Barb fidgeted a bit. “Is that all the device can do?”
“No, it's also technically an arc. I can restore extinct species with it.” Dillan said, scratching his chin a little, before his eyes widened in realization. “Wait… I can bring back the species the humans have killed!”
Twilight looked up from her note taking. “If humans have this kind of tech why would they need to kill us?”
Dillan raised an eyebrow at her. “What part of fictional made you think humans made it? It's not supposed to exist.”
Twilight frowned at him. “Yet you have it.”
“I know and I don't know why!” Dillan said with a sigh, sitting down while looking at the Omnitrix. “You know what? Fuck it, even if I get stuck as whatever I turn into it'll still be better than being a human.” He said, pushing down the hourglass.
The gathered creatures raised their eyebrows in confusion at what he said, before a flash of white light blinded them all momentarily. When it faded in the human's place was a young dragon with white scales and wings, with black underbelly scales and frilled down his back. “Whoa! What am I?”
“Y-you are a dragon.” Barb said in shock.
The ponies stared at him in surprise as well, as he tried looking at himself. “A dragon huh? Wicked! Dragons are myths back home, this is so cool!”
Twilight looked between Barb and Dillan. “You are like that because of Barb’s DNA?”
Dillan nodded a little as Barb stared at him with a light blush on her face. “Yeah, essentially it scanned the part of her DNA that makes her a dragon, and when I transformed it changed the part of my DNA that makes me a human to that of a dragon. Thus changing what I am.”
“Why are your scales white and black then?” Luna asked before some goggles fell from the ceiling and landed in front of Dillan.
Dillan raised an eyebrow at the goggles, reaching to grab them as he responded. “Because this is what I would look like as a dragon.”
As he picked them up he heard a message in his mind in the voice of a teenage boy. “I am Dexter, the teenage genius and the spirit of knowledge and invention. If you need a scientist or a friend and you're willing to let me scan you to make a nano, then simply put on these glasses and say ‘call Dexter’.”
Dillan's eyes widened in surprise as he dropped the goggles again, looking around wildly. “What’s wrong?” Barb asked him.
“I just heard a voice.” Dillan said, shaking his head a little.
“A voice?” Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow. “We didn’t hear anything.”
“Perhaps his watch isn't working correctly?” Luna suggested while Celestia glared at Dillan as he picked up the googles again.
“Or maybe he's lying.” She said.
“I'm not lying, I heard someone calling themselves Dexter, and they said something about summoning.” Dillan said with a frown.
A portal opened inside the cell and two humanoid silhouettes could be seen walking through. “I am sorry Tia, I got summoned, I can’t control when that happens.” A voice said as two beings came through the portal. The first being a teenage looking human with orange hair, glasses hooked together like goggles, a lab coat, and purple gloves covering his hands. The second being resembled Celestia however she walked on two legs and wore a white and gold dress.
Everyone stared at the two in silence and surprise as Dillan blinked a little. “I am so confused right now.”
The teenager looked down at Dillan and smiled. “Good to see you…” He frowned a bit when he noticed the color of Dillan's scales and omnitrix logo, then he looked around and saw they were inside a cell. “Huh, well this will be the second time I’ve been in a royal cell.”
Dillan raised an eyebrow in confusion as he moved away from the two. “Uh, who are you and why are you here?”
“We'd like to know the same thing.” Luna said with a frown.
The teen waved his hand. “Hello, my name is Dexter, teenage genius and proud husband of princess Celestia.” He smiled before looking at the woman with him. “My princess Celestia, that is, you see we are from another universe and your local Displaced summoned us.” He looked back at Dillan. “Do you mind changing back?”
Dillan blinked multiple times in confusion, looking down at himself before back at Dexter. “Dimensions are real?”
Dexter chuckled and nodded. “Indeed, now let’s see who you are.” He reached down and tapped the omnitrix on Dillan’s chest.
In a flash of white Dillan returned to normal, looking at himself in surprise. “What the! How'd you do that?!”
Dexter chuckled again. “I take it you didn’t pay attention to the Ben 10 show.” He looked at the ponies outside the cell. “How about we talk over some tea and cake?”
The Celestia that came with him smacked his arm lightly. “Using cake against a Celestia?”
Dillan raised an eyebrow while pony Celestia frowned. “No thank you, how did you get here?”
Dexter adjusted his glasses. “As I said, your local Displaced summoned us.” He waved a hand at Dillan before glancing at him. “Hmm, interesting.” He muttered before looking back to pony Celestia. “We are not a threat to you or your ponies, in fact I married my Celestia.” He leaned over and kissed his Celestia’s cheek.
“This is a trick, I refuse to believe any version of me would marry a filthy human.” Pony Celestia said with a frown.
“They're at war with humanity here.” Dillan explained. “And humans have killed most life aside from ponies.”
Dexter’s Celestia gasped and covered her mouth. “That is horrible.”
Dexter scratched his chin. “I see, well if you’d like I can give you a few more defenses while teaching both of you about displaced.”
“What are displaced?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow, before Fluttershy flew into view.
“Dillan are you ok what-” She started to say before pausing at the other human. “Uh…”
Dexter smiled softly and waved. “Greetings Fluttershy.” He turned to face Dillan. “Displaced are people taken from their world and either changed or given powers or technology before being sent to a version of Equestria. Some are quadrupedal, like this universe, while others are anthro like mine, or even fully human Equestrias.” He tapped his glasses and a hologram of a group of anthro ponies in armor stood in a throne room.
“What the heck?” Dillan, and Barb asked at once.
“T-there are multiple Equestria’s?” Fluttershy asked in surprise.
Dexter nodded his head. “I don’t know how many exactly but I would estimate an infinite number of them.” He held a hand out to Dillan. “How about we get you up off the ground?”
Dillan takes the hand and gets up. “Uh, thanks…? So what now?”
“Now we talk.” Dexter said before looking at pony Celestia. “Having Dillan on your side will help you immensely. The omnitrix is a powerful tool that holds many transformations, ones that can protect your ponies.” He turned to face her. “And I am willing to give you armor to help in your world's defense.”
Pony Celestia frowned deeply. “And how am I to know he and you are not spies for the humans, trying to learn our defenses and trying to eliminate us?”
Dexter scratched his chin. “I suppose you just have our word, and the fact there is another you in here with us as proof that we are from another universe.”
“Or it could be some kind of trick or magic.” Pony Celestia said as Dillan frowned and rolled his eyes.
“She's not gonna listen, hell when I first got here she instantly tried to turn my bones into bone meal. Even though I was nice and even recognized Fluttershy.” Dillan said with a frown.
Dexter sighed a bit. “Oh well. Come with me Dillan.” He pulled out a cube and placed it on the far wall before he expanded and grew into a doorway and on the other side was a well lit lab.
“What the hell?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow as Dexter grabbed his arm and pulled him through.
“Welcome to my laboratory!” Dexter said with a smile. “I am willing to give you some armor and stuff to help you protect your friends.”
Dillan blinked in confusion as he looked around. “Uhhhhh, ok?”
Dexter smiled and waved a hand. “Follow me, oh and all you ponies are welcome to come inside too.”
“Get back here!” Pony Clestia shouted as she used her magic to open the door and rushed in.
Dexter looked back as they walked further into the lab. “Please don’t shout, and do be careful, if you attack us my lab's automated defenses will…neutralize you.”
Pony Celestia glared at him as Barb looked around a lot. “Whoa.”
Dexter chuckled and smiled at her. “Impressed?”
“Yeah, technology like this is supposed to be impossible.” Barb said looking around, tripping on something before Dillan caught her.
“You ok?” He asked.
“Y-yeah.” She said softly with a faint blush.
Dillan smiled a little as Pony Celestia glared at him from behind. “Good, if you're really one of the last dragons then you're important. Don't want you getting hurt.”
Barb blushed bright red as Dexter chuckled. “Ok casanova, let's get moving.”
“Huh?” Dillan asked in confusion, raising an eyebrow as Barb looked away from him still blushing.
Dexter chuckled a bit. “Oh nothing.” He said with a smirk and they walked up to a tube like machine. “Step inside please.” He pushed a button that made it open up.
Dillan frowned a little as he slowly stepped into the machine, looking around a little as Pony Celestia huffed a little. “Um, what's your Equestria like?” Barb asked Dexter’s Celestia, her face still red.
She sighed a bit. “We are mostly peaceful but an alien lifeform has started to invade our world and Dexter is training ponies to fight it.” She said as Dexter pushed a few buttons and the machine closed before it began to scan Dillan.
“Judging by the look of Dexter I'm assuming planet fuse?” Dillan asked, watching the scan.
“Yes, sadly.” Dexter said with a sigh. “We have managed to quarantine each impact site but we're losing land quickly…and the damn planet hasn't even arrived yet.” He said while rubbing his temple. “Computress, please have a robot bring me a glass of water and my…my medication.”
“Yes sir.” A robotic voice said, though it did sound a bit disappointed.
“Dexter, what is this medication?” His Celestia asked.
“It…is a bit of an energy booster to keep me awake and energized so I can continue to work.” He said while not looking at her.
“You're drugging yourself?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow and leaning on the tube. “Dude, just drink some coffee.”
“Tried it, but it stopped working after a day.” Dexter said as he finished the scan and the tube opened, freeing Dillan. “Your armor will be custom made for your human body, and it will become a skintight suit for your transformations adding a little bit more defense but not by much unfortunately.”
“Oh, ok.” Dillan nodded before gesturing to Dexter's Celestia. “I think you owe your wife an explanation.”
Dexter sighed as he turned to face his Celestia. “Look I-”
“No, you look, I care about you, I know you want to make sure we are prepared to fight planet fuse, but you need to take care of yourself too! So no more of these pills!”
Dillan walked past Dexter and patted his shoulder. “Tartarus hath no hurry like a mares scorn.”
Dexter sighed and nodded his head. “Yes I know this…” He looked at Dillan. “Now about you, do you want a nano?”
“Nano?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You remember planet fuse but not the nanos?” Dexter asked him before tapping a device on his belt and a smaller version of his Celestia appeared.
“I never really played it, just second hand knowledge and pictures.” Dillan explained with a small shrug, before looking at the tiny Celestia. “So… is she alive or?”
She flew over and bonked him on the head. “Of course I am alive!”
Dexter chuckled a bit. “Yes they are, they are a mix of the fuse matter after being purified and the power of imagination so they're part imagination and part fuse. They will have memories and personalities of who they were based off of from the moment of being scanned “Celly here was scanned back a thousand years ago so she is based off of a younger version of my wife.”
“Neat.” Dillan said with a hum.
“I got a list of nanos each one can give you powers.” Dexter said before he tapped the device and the nana disappeared. “They could be a friend for you to always have by your side.” He looked over at Dillan’s Celestia. “And I will even give you one if you promise to treat them well.”
Dillan's Celestia frowned more as Dillan sighed a little while rubbing his eyes. “This is a lot to take in.”
“I understand.” Dexter said with a nod. “Perhaps Luna would be willing to give me a chance.” He looked at Luna. “Would you like more advanced armor and the help of a human?”
Luna frowned a little and hummed. “The armor we will take… but trusting a human…”
Dexter shrugged a bit. “I understand, given you are at war.” He waved a hand at the tube machine. “Please step inside so my device can scan your body and make the perfect armor for you.”
Luna frowned a little more as she slowly stepped into the tube, while Fluttershy looked around a little. “D-dillan, how are you able to understand and talk with us?” She asked the human.
“Huh? Oh right!” Dillan said, slapping his forehead. “I'm such an idiot, my watch has a translator function.”
“Indeed, which is also why I can understand you all as well. The omnitrix projects a field around it where everyone can understand each other.” Dexter said as he typed on the computer.
“Wow, that watch is amazing.” Barb said, her face still a little red.
“No kidding… hey wait.” Dillan said after thinking for a moment. “How'd you know my name?” He asked Dexter.
Dexter chuckled a bit. “Ever watch Ben 10 Omniverse?” He asked with a bit of a smirk.
Dillan blinked a little as the ponies and Dragon watched them. “Yeah? Only up till… and then there was Ben… is there another me!?”
Dexter chuckled and nodded. “Yep, and if there are two of you with omnitrices I would assume there are more.”
Dillan blinked a little before his eyes rolled into the back of his head again, making him fall to the ground unconscious. “Dillan!” Fluttershy shouted in worry, flying over to him.
“Huh, this Dillan seems a lot less…what’s the word…” Dexter said while rubbing his chin.
“Brave?” Dexter's Celestia asked.
“Eh.” Dexter shrugged a bit before he finished typing on the computer and the tube opened letting Luna out. “Your armor will be done in a few minutes.”
“So there are humans invading multiple Equestria's…” Celestia muttered with a deep frown.
“Not necessarily.” Dexter said as he shook his head. “Each Equestria is different in some way. Heck I even met a displaced where Equestria was invading the humans of their universe.”
“What?!” The ponies shouted in shock, aside from Celestia who seemed to be thinking.
“Yes, they were even turning the humans into ponies against their wills.” Dexter said while shaking his head. “So don’t judge every universe on what has happened here.”
Celestia frowned and looked off to the side as if getting an idea. “I see…”
Dexter raised an eyebrow. “Anyway…I hope you never run into that Equestria, they are monsters.” He said to Barb.
Barb nods slowly. “Yeah, anyone that would force somebody to turn in something else against the will is not a good creature.”
“It isn't just that, the ponies that are made from other creatures, human, dragon, whatever, are pretty much lobotomized. They look like ponies but they're more like flash robots that look like ponies.” Dexter said before he glanced at Dillan’s Celestia. “So I suggest against doing that.”
Dillan's Celestia frowned while her counterpart gasped. “You couldn't have been thinking that! It's barbaric!”
Dillen’s Celestia looked away. “It is better than being exterminated by them.”
Dexter sighed and adjusted his glasses. “How about a magical contract?”
“A what?” Dillan asked, slowly sitting up.
“A magical contract, it's a contract used with magic that binds both parties to keep their word.” Dexter said as he put his hands in his pockets.
“So it forces us to keep our promises?” Dillan asked raising an eyebrow.
“Yes, and if you don’t keep your word then you pay a price.” Dexter said before adding. “For instance let's say you made the deal to protect Equestria and you choose to betray Equestria, then the price for that could be whatever the other party said it should be when the contract was made.” He gestured to Dillan’s Celestia. “Let's say you made a deal with her, that if you betray Equestria you would die of a heart attack, but it isn't up to her to determine if you have betrayed Equestria the contract follows your intent so unless you willingly betray Equestria then the contract will be held.”
“Huh, and what are the limitations?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Just about anything.” Dexter said before he looked at Dillan’s Celestia. “So, would that be enough of a leash to let Dillan out of the cell and help you?”
Dillan's Celestia glared at Dillan for a moment. “Very well.”
Dexter smiled and looked at Dillan. “How about you start, and make sure to add a clause that would have a negative side effect for her if she betrays you or something of the like.”
Dillan scratched his cheek a little. “Alright, first off, no trying to kill me. And not hurting me at all, in any form. I'll help you defeat the humans and stop them from this god awful crap they're doing, in exchange you leave me alone and let me live in peace. If you don't… I don't know, you become an earth pony stallion. Indefinitely.”
Everyone stared at him for a moment in shock before Dexter laughed his ass off. “Oh my god!”
“What? Not good enough? I'm not good with punishments.” Dillan said, scratching his cheek a little.
“N-no it is fine, it's just.” Dexter started to say while laughing.
“It is a bit…inventive of a punishment to say the least.” Dexter’s Celestia said with a light blush.
Dillan shrugged a little. “I figured that would be the best way to punish her… without death or forcing her away from her sister.”
Dexter finally stopped laughing. “While that is a funny punishment, I suggest making it where she's unable to use any magic except for moving the sun and the defense of Equestria.”
Dillan sighed slightly. “Ok fine, if you break our deal you'll be unable to use any magic accept to move the sun and protect equestria.”
Dillan’s Celestia frowned and sighed. “Fine, you will follow my orders and protect Equestria but if you betray Equestria then you'll be turned to stone forever.”
“I want more of an explanation. The following orders are too lousy ghosey for me.” Dillan said with a frown. “Be specific, because if you order me to kill the first human I see and it's a child, I'm not doing it. And I don't wanna be turned to stone for showing mercy to a child.”
Dillan’s Celestia glared at him. “You will do everything in your power to defend Equestria and those who live here.”
“Ok, deal.” Dillan nodded raising a hand to shake.
Dillan’s Celestia lifted her hoof as magic flowed around her hoof and when they shook it flowed over Dillan’s hand before forming into a string tying them together. “It is done.”
Dillan sighed a little. “So what now? The other ponies aren't exactly gonna be happy I'm here.”
“That is for you to work out.” Dexter said as two robots came holding suits of armor. “Now then let's make you a token before I head home.”
“Token?” Dillan asked.
“It is a way to send out a message for other displaced to find and summon you.” Dexter said before gesturing to the glasses in Dillan’s hand.
Dillan looked at the googles. “Oh… how do I make one?”
“Take something that represents you or that you want to represent you hold it close Swoll pouring your feelings into it and speak a message.” Dexter said before he rolled his eyes. “I know, not very scientific but I have yet to study the process completely.”
Dillan raised an eyebrow as he looked around a little. “I don't have anything.”
Dexter tapped his chin. “Computress, make a plumber badge please, color it white.”
“Understood.” A voice said
“A plumber's badge?” Dillan asked.
“It could be your token.” Dexter said before he tapped his chin. “I could also give you a powerful communication satellite to try and reach out for this worlds plumbers if they exist, Ii'm sure that they would be willing to help.”
“Maybe, but there are humans in the plumbers.” Dillan said with a frown.
“Maybe, but they can still help.” Dexter said with a shrug.
“Who are the plumbers?” Twilight asked, looking up from her notes.
“Um… guards of the entire universe. They protect all life.” Dillan said.
“Yes, think of them like your guards but they protect everyone.” Dexter said before a robot came up while presenting a round desk with a white hourglass symbol on it.
Dillan slowly took the badge and looked at it. “Uh… my name is Dillan. I'm a Ben 10 Omnivres displaced… call if you need help?”
Dexter smiled a bit and nodded his head. “Once your message is finished, toss the token into the air.”
Dillan looked at the badge again before tossing it into the air, watching as it vanished. “Huh, neat.”
“Three, two, one…” Dexter said before two of the badge fell out of the sky, one into Dillan’s hand and the other into Dexter’s.
“I get to keep it?” Dillan asked, looking at the plumber's badge.
“Yep.” Dexter said with a nod as he put his into his pocket. “Now, the last two things, would you like a communication satellite powerful enough to contact the plumbers, if they exist in this universe, and would you like a nano?”
“Um, yes and sure?” Dillan said unsure. “Which one?”
Dexter nodded and started working on a computer before a list of nanos and their powers popped up on the screen. “Here you go.”
Dillan read over the list for a moment before smirking. “Golden Frieza, I wanna use ki. But what is the Weatharian?”
“I believe that is one of Dillan 23’s aliens.” Dexter said with a smile.
“23?” Dillan asked with a frown. “Please tell me he isn't like Ben 23 and is a pompous bad name giver?”
Dexter chuckled and shook his head. “He seemed like a nice guy, also he seemed to use the original alien names.”
“Thank God.” Dillan muttered a little.
“I'm so confused.” Fluttershy muttered a little.
“I am sure Dillan can explain later.” Dexter said with a chuckle. “So you want golden Frieza?”
Dillan nodded a little. “And the Weatharian id I can have two, that way I can figure out it's abilities.”
“Alright.” Dexter nodded and pushed a few buttons. “Follow me.” He walked away from the computer.
Dillan followed him while the ponies stared at the two leaving. “So we're… just supposed to trust him?” Luna asked with a frown.
Celestia sighed a bit. “He can’t break the magical contract without facing the consequences.” She looked at her sister. “I don’t like it but he may be useful.”
“Please just try to get to know him!” Fluttershy said with a frown. “If it wasn't for Dillan I wouldn't even be here right now!”
Luna looked at the armor she was given. “Hmm, this armor does seem interesting.
Fluttershy whimpered a little at being ignored before Barb looked at her with a frown. “What did you mean by that?”
“W-when I was a filly… I ended up in the human world through some kind of portal.” Fluttershy said softly. “Long story short, Dillan found me and looked so excited. He thought I was just an animal until I drew my name on a piece of paper, after that we became friends. H-he kept me hidden when his government came looking for me and even saved me when they tried t-to…” she paused whimpering more.
Dexter’s Celestia rubbed Fluttershy’s head. “I am sure he is a good man.”
She nodded with a slight blush. “He's… probably my oldest friend after Rainbow.”
Dexter’s Celestia smiled softly. “Then be there for him, protect him and be his friend here.”
Dillan's Celestia frowned a little as she looked away, as Fluttershy nodded. “I will…”
Dexter’s Celestia smiled warmly. “Good, now let’s all leave the lab while Dexter helps Dillan.”
The group made their way out of the lab as Fluttershy looked back at Dillan for a moment and hung her head.
Dexter’s Celestia looked at her pony counterpart. “I know you don’t like humans but with Dillan on your side Equestria is going to be alright.”
“That has yet to be seen.” Dillan's Celestia said with a frown. “The humans have eradicated almost all life, even with the contract. I won't trust a human.”
Dexter’s Celestia frowned at her. “I can understand your distrust, but the contract should be enough to give him a chance.”
Dillan's Celestia looked away from her counterpart before leaving. “If he does anything to any of my ponies I will end him.”
“I am pretty sure the contract will do that.” Barb muttered.
“No, the contract will turn him to stone.” Twilight said with a frown as her mentor walked away. “She means… killing him.”
Dexter and Dillan returned with Dexter frowning. “To a human that is the same thing.” He said to her before adding. “Either he is put into an endless sleep or he is awake and aware of the time passing around him driving him insane. Humans need stimulation and social interaction otherwise they will go insane.”
“T-thats…” Twilight said with a frown.
“Horrible.” Fluttershy said softly.
“Yes.” Dexter said as he adjusted his glasses. “Thankfully I was prepared when I was turned to stone so I would be fine.”
Dillan stayed silent as he glanced off to the side, before smiling a little. “I'm willing to help however I can, your Majesty, maybe I can talk with the humans and get them to stop and see reason.” He said to Luna.
“That would be very helpful.” Luna said softly with a weak smile.
Dillan bowed a little to her. “I'm… so sorry for all the pain my species has done.” he said before looking at Dexter. “How do I send you home?”
Dexter smiled a bit. “Let’s fully leave my lab and let me pack up my lab before that.” They left the doorway and a robot came out with a rocket. “Oh yes, the rocket, go set it up.” The robot nodded and left as Dexter shrank the doorway and picked it up.
“I will leave the robot to look over the satellite.” Dexter said as he pocketed the cube.
“Um, ok?” Dillan said in confusion.
Dexter chuckled a bit. “Don’t worry, just ask it to send out whatever message you want. Now to send us home say ‘our contract is complete’ and it will send us home.”
“Why that phrase?” Dillan asked, raising an eyebrow.
Dexter shrugged a bit. “Not sure, I haven’t been able to study it much.”
“Huh, ok. Um our contract is complete?” Dillan said.
A portal opened behind Dexter and his Celestia. “Goodbye for now, good luck and give me a call if you ever need to talk or need my help.”
Dillan nodded with a small smile as the two left, frowning a little as the portal closed. “So much for talking to another good human…”
Fluttershy nuzzled his hand. “You can call him again any time you want.”
Dillan smiled a little. “Thanks… oh wait! We can actually understand each other now! This should be fun.” He said with a chuckle.
Fluttershy giggled softly. “You just noticed?”
“Well I was kinda preoccupied with my bones being crushed and then all this happened.” Dillan said with a small smile before frowning deeply as the others watched. “Do you remember everything that happened…? Even the government?”
Fluttershy nodded and looked down, her mane covering part of her face. “Y-yes.”
Dillan sighed softly as he frowned deeply. “I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.”
Fluttershy shook her head a little. “N-no! You tried your best… w-what happened after I left? I-i remember you getting shocked and then the portal opened…”
Dillan frowned even deeper before looking away. “Nothing good.”
