Spirit Apathy, a young stallion from the San Palimino Desert, has left his home for reasons he is not too sure he understands. Perhaps he was tired of being the odd one out, of the reminder of his best friend, or of the love he could not feel for his family.

He rode out, consumed by his memories, and found himself pulled toward the Everfree forest where the weather changes itself, the sun and moon rise and down on their own, and where animals need no help to survive. A place everypony knows of, few have seen, fewer have entered.

Spirit will find out that the forest is more than just a forest and that the world is bigger and more confusing than he had ever thought.

Will he be able to make sense of the strange things inside the forest or will he forever be lost in a place that makes perfect sense and yet none at all?
